Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Akemi has mid back length chocolate brown hair with wispy bangs and fierce golden brown eyes. They seem to radiate whatever mood she’s in, brightening when she’s happy and playful looking more like whiskey or darkening as she gets angry looking pools of black. She has freckles under her eyes and on her cheeks. She has a bright smile that exudes warmth and small button nose. She has a strong jaw that becomes more apparent as she gets agitated.
  • Body: Akemi is very toned. She trains hard in her taijutsu and must work vigorously out to keep the muscle mass needed to do the necessary damage as required on higher level missions. Though her legs are shapely and muscular, most of her power lies in her arms and her core. She fills her hourglass frame out very nicely.
  • Notable Features: Akemi has a birthmark on her right hip in the shape of a cherry blossom. She also has a scar above and going through her left eyebrow, which is partially obscured by two curved silver bars going through her eyebrow, and various scars over her arms and legs not only from body conditioning but also from past missions. The right side of her nose is pierced with a silver stud, and she has her ears pierced with small silver hoops. She has her lower lip pierced with a small hoop going through the middle.She also has a tattoo on her right hip, half of it is visible above her pants line. The spider lily inside a painted black circle moon has red as the only color. The flowers themselves a dark red, and the shadow under them a lighter shade of red, with the black circle coming in and out around the twin flowers.

Clothing/Accessories: Akemi can usually be seen wearing black mid thigh tight to fit shorts and a flowing red open neck tank belted at her waist with a black obi. She has a mesh under shirt that goes to her elbows and knee-high mesh stockings, black heavy boots cover her feet.

Personality:
  • General: Akemi is typically seen as stubborn and somewhat pigheaded. When she sets her mind to something, that’s generally that. Growing up a caretaker she feels a sort of responsibility for those she cares for. And once she cares, it’s hard to stop. She’s a very happy person usually, until she isn’t. She feels things very deeply, when she goes down that road of sadness and anger it’s palpable to all around her. The warmth of her demeanor disappears completely, she becomes cold and distant. This usually happens from feeling and experiencing the pain of others…or when around her brothers. Akemi tries to find small joys in her everyday life, she likes to be playful and lighthearted whenever possible. Poking fun and teasing her friends and superiors often just to make them smile, or give herself a good giggle.
  • Hopes/Dreams: Akemi hopes to one day be able to just enjoy her life as opposed to caring for everyone in it and putting herself last. She loves those she’s close to, and she’s easy to get close to, but it’s exhausting being everything for everyone. More than anything she dreams of a time in her life when she can just be herself, strong enough to protect as needed but allowed to be soft in her down time.
  • Fears: Akemi fears losing those close to her. It drives her fiery disposition to achieve the strength necessary for unnatural loss to unimaginable.
  • Combat Mentality: Akemi has been compared to a bulldozer of sorts, she’s been known to headbutt her way through almost any issue. Though she has an affinity for katon, she prefers up close and personal combat. Being able to punch her way out, or use daggers if necessary, is her shinobi way. If she is to do battle, she wants to show respect to her opponents by putting her whole soul in the encounter. Fiery punches are a go to for her. Deflecting weapons to deliver a searing hit gives her a satisfaction that nothing else compares to. Even when she’s down in a fight, it encourages her to fight harder. She loves a challenge.

Lower back: Tanto; This Tantō has a blade that is 14" long and a hilt that is 5" long. The metal itself is steel and usually is wrapped in any color wrap that the user desires. Inscribed on the hilt is a fuuinjutsu that summons the hilt back to the user's hand at a speed of 20. It can be summoned back up to 15m.
ANBU MaskShow

The Anbu mask is a quintessential trademark of the blackops organization. Although not all masks look the same, they all act the same. They have a standard white base with any kind of design that is suited to either match your character or simply something your character could like. The mask itself has the base 10 strength and carrier a specialty fuuin on the top that allows the wearers of the masks to utilize different capabilities with the eye sockets. The mask can be activated to see forward as if it were binoculars, this can go up to 30 meters in distance. The mask can also activate Chakra Vision, where it can focus on living beings with chakra. This visual effect goes up to 30m as well.

Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own. Additionally, Katon jutsu have a Burning effect, and burn anyone they come in contact with with [Control] strength.

A character with this concentration is able to utilize Sankaton, and advanced form of Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Sankaton affinity. Sankaton has an eroding effect.

Sankaton is an incorporeal element that comes in the form of a fine red haze, that exudes warmth, and has the ability to erode. Anything physical that comes in contact with Sankaton is eaten by the energy, which consumes the Sankaton. This gives Sankaton incredibly powerful offensive and defensive capabilities. Sankaton jutsu are notoriously draining, and are known to push the user to the absolute limit. Sankaton jutsu are limited in size by their control prerequisite, which can make them difficult to use effectively. Sankaton is unaffected by energy based elements, and the two simply pass through them. This makes Sankaton's strength, and its weakness non-matter based elements.
Ninjutsu: Advanced Channeling:
This user has superb chakra control, and has learned to perform jutsu by channeling, without the use of hand seals. The user can channel any Ninjutsu that is designed to be channeled, and there are no specified parameters in which a jutsu must fall to be channeled by this method.

An advanced form of Shadow Binding, Eiketsu: Unnatural Shadow allows a Nara clan member to create and manipulate shadows in the absence of light. Because of their unnatural quality, these shadows cannot be dispelled or warded off by powerful light as normal shadows would be. It is said that Eiketsu: Unnatural Shadow can only be attained by those who have fully dedicated themselves to taking part in The Day of Shadow Communion every year, an ancient and sacred tradition of the Nara.

Eiketsu: Unnatural Shadow does not require an independent Jutsu Pyramid but extra chakra is required to perform any Eiketsu technique that utilizes this optional Concentration.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will bring their fingers to their lips and puff their chest out, before blowing three fireballs the size of the users head. These fireballs will divide into two on their journey, making for a total of 6, and often shooting in different directions to make it hard for the target to dodge. Each fireball has it's own [Control] Speed and Strength. The user has 3 posts after using this jutsu to fire the fireballs, and they may fire them one at a time or all at once.

The lion will span 15 meters in size and can travel up to 45 meters in whichever direction the user thrusts their hands upon release. After performing the correct hand seals the user exhales a ring of fire up to 40 meters away at a speed equal to [Control]. On impact the ring immediately erupts outwards and upwards as it's dancing flames form a dome with a 5 meter diameter and a 3 meter pitch. The dome is held together at [Control] strength for 4 posts before falling apart into wild flames.

After performing the correct hand seals or channeling chakra, a full set of armor made of katon will appear at control speed and strength, and provides a 3 inch layer that protects against taijutsu. If anyone comes into contact with the armor they will receive control strength burns and incoming attacks will be deflected at control strength. This technique can last up to 5 posts or until destroyed.

After performing a long string of hand seals, the user will bring their hands together as if to mold a ball of clay, focusing a massive amount of chakra into their hands. They will then slam their hands onto the ground or a similar surface, causing a ripple of fire to emanate out in a 80 meter radius at [Control] speed. Anything caught in the wave will become ignited instantly. Following this move, the user will then forcefully remove their hands from the ground and fling them to the sky, shooting fireballs into the air which will then reign down over the same radius at [Control] speed, and impact with [Control] Strength. The epicenter of both techniques will remain untouched by the flames, as the user is there.

If the user's shadow makes contact with the target's shadow, the target will be bound in place and is unable to move. The user's shadow can move a total distance of up to 10 meters and once contact has been made the user is unable to move while Shadow Hold is in effect. Shadow Hold can be maintained for up to 3 posts before additional chakra is required.

After completing a string of hand seals or utilizing advanced channeling the user will infuse their own shadow with chakra, stretching it into a screen-like barrier at a Speed and Strength up to the user's Control. This barrier can reach up to 2 meters in height and 1.5 meters in width and will remain apparent for up to 4 posts before additional chakra is required.

After completing a string of hand seals the user will infuse a shadow within their Control range with chakra. If an opponent physically touches this shadow the trap will trigger, causing many needle-like spikes to emerge from it at a Speed and Strength up to the user's Control. The Shadow Needles Trap will remain apparent for up to 4 posts before additional chakra is required.

After completing a string of hand seals the user will infuse a shadow within their Control range with chakra, causing a tendril to emerge from it at a Speed and Strength up to the user's Control. The Shadow Tendril will remain apparent for up to 4 posts before additional chakra is required.

A Strength equal to or greater than the user's Control stat is needed to break free from this technique.

After completing a string of hand seals the user will infuse their shadow with chakra and stretch it across any surface up to 15 meters at a Speed and Strength up to the user's Control, aiming to connect it to the opponent's shadow. If contact is made, the user and the opponent will be linked together in movement so that everything the user does is mimicked by the opponent. A Strength equal to or greater than the user's Control is needed to break free of this technique. The effects of Shadow Imitation will remain apparent for up to 5 posts.

After completing a string of hand seals the user will tap their foot on the ground, infusing their own shadow with chakra and sending it burrowing into the ground at a Strength and Speed up to the user's Control -5. This tunneling shadow can travel up to 15 meters before emerging, attempting to connect to a target's shadow. If contact is made, the user and the opponent will be linked together in movement, so that everything the user does is mimicked by the opponent. A Strength equal to or greater than the user's Control is needed to break free of this technique. The effects of this technique will remain apparent for up to 6 posts until additional chakra is required.

~Eiketsu • Shadow Explosive Trap

After completing a string of hand seals the user will infuse a shadow within their Control range with explosive chakra. If an opponent makes physical contact with this shadow it will rapidly compress at the point of contact at a Speed and Strength up to the user's Control. This rapid compression will result in a large explosion with a Strength up to the user's Control stat. The Shadow Explosive Trap will remain apparent for up to 6 posts before additional chakra is required.

After completing a string of hand seals the user will infuse a shadow within their Control radius with chakra, causing it to form into 6, 8 meter long tendrils at a Speed and Strength up to the user's Control. These tendrils can be manipulated at will by the user at a Speed and Strength up to the user's Control as long as it remains within the user's Control radius. The practical uses of this technique range from attempting to impale a target to acting as a tertiary appendage to manipulate nearby objects and anything in between if the user is inventive enough. This technique will remain apparent for up to 5 posts before additional chakra is required.

~Eiketsu • Shadow Imitation Projectile

Prerequisites: ~Eiketsu • Shadow Imitation
After completing a string of hand seals the user will infuse a projectile with Eiketsu chakra and throw it at a target's shadow. If this projectile makes contact with the target's shadow they will be frozen in place with a Strength up to the user's Control. A Strength equal to or greater than the user's Control is required to break free from this technique. The Shadow Imitation Projectile will remain apparent for up to 6 posts before the chakra holding the target in place dissipates.

~Eiketsu • Shadow Neck Binding

After connecting their shadow with an opponent's, the user will complete and hold an additional hand seal while infusing the bridged shadow with more chakra. A shadowy hand will stretch up the target's body and clutch at their neck at a Speed and Strength up to the user's Control, attempting to strangle them. If the user's Control is 15 or greater than the target's Endurance, the Shadow Neck Binding can break their neck at the user's choosing.

B-rank Ninjutsu
By infusing their own shadow with chakra the user is able to replace it with any other shadow within their Control range, transporting themselves to that location at near instant speed. This technique is similar to that of the Substitution Technique but does not rely on swapping places with an object that contains mass but instead with a shadow at least 2/3rds the size of the user's own shadow. This jutsu uses up one of the two teleportations a character can use in a single thread.

After completing a string of hand seals the user will infuse all shadows within their Control radius with chakra, stretching them into countless razor sharp tendrils at a Speed and Strength up to the user's Control. Each of these tendrils will grow up to 5 meters in length and will attempt to pierce anything in range at a Speed and Strength up to the user's Control. This technique gets its name from the end result being a dense, massive briar patch of shadowy thorns that impale anything unfortunate enough to get caught in their path. The Shadow Thorn Briar will remain apparent for up to 6 posts before additional chakra is required.

Sankaton is an elemental extension of Katon, considered a "Super Release". The user will do a series of hand seals, causing Sankaton to form around one of their hands. The next time their hand comes in contact with something, the Sankaton to flush forward to it, causing burns on contact, and eroding with [Control] Strength. This jutsu can be risky as it's possible for the user to accidentally touch themselves with the Sankaton.

After doing the needed hand seals, the ninja covers a small projectile in Sankaton chakra. Whenever the projectile hits a target, the sankaton will strike first at [Control] Strength, eroding the material it strikes.

After doing the needed hand seals, the ninja gathers Sankaton chakra in their mouth, creating a blob. After spitting it out, it grows to a .5x.5.x5 meter diameter ball that travels at [Control] Speed, up to 10 meters away, eroding anything it strikes with [Control] strength.

After doing the necessary hand seals, the user gathers sankaton chakra on the soles of their feet corroding the sufrace that they walk on with control strength and speed.

C-Ranked Sankaton Ninjutsu
Rather than using hand seals, the ninja is required to put their hands in a specific formation, as if gripping a basketball with each hand. As they do this, a 1x1x1m diameter block of Sankaton chakra is created in the space between their hands. The block can be controlled and moved freely within 10m of the user. Whenever this ball comes in contact with any physical substance, it eats and corrodes the substance, instantly destroying whatever it hits, but only equal to the volume of the ball, where it hit, otherwise eroding it with [Control] Strength.

By doing a string of hand seals, the ninja creates a 15 inch diameter ball of Sankaton chakra too shoot up to 25m away from their body at [Control] speed. If this ball comes in contact with matter, it activates, corroding the object, instantly destroying whatever it hits, but only at an equal volume of the ball, taking up the same volume of the ball as well. Otherwise it erodes with [Control] Strength on contact.

Rather than use a normal method of volume eating, this jutsu uses another method of Annihilation Sankaton chakra. Doing the needed hand seals, the user coats a small projectile in Sankaton chakra. Whenever this projectile hits something, it immediately erodes the material in front of it, boring holes up to 1ft in depth in front of the projectile, and eroding structures with [Control] Strength.

After doing the needed hand seals, the ninja sends Sankaton chakra into a metallic object, rusting it. When the metallic object pierces the flesh of a living person, the chakra spreads throughout the wound, infecting the area. This causes muscles in the injured area to constantly contract, preventing some movement and causing -3 Speed. This lasts for 5 posts.
Bone Breaker StyleShow
Bone Breaker:
Bone Breaker Style was created by shinobi in order to disable another fighter quickly in a fight to prevent them from utilizing limbs, and weathering the opponent down by short powerful strikes aimed at weak spots in the skeletal structure to fracture or break entirely. The style is strongly based off the strength and taijutsu skill of the user. If a user is strong they can snap bones easily, but if they are uncoordinated the style is essentially useless, same if it was the other way around, a weak person cannot snap bones no matter how well they're coordinated. The style is an utterly bruteful and ruthless one used to typical lethally injure or disable an opponent for other means.

D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner throws a palm strike towards an opponents leg utilizing all their momentum and force by swinging their shoulders and hips, targeting the opponent's thigh. Landing this strike causes immense discomfort and a hairline fracture in one of the bones, and if the opponent continues to heavily use and strain the targeted leg, the hairline fracture can degrade into a full severe fracture. The practitioner's Strength must be equal or higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

Prerequisite: 10 strength.
This taijutsu utilizes the weaker spot of the fibula in the calf to snap the soft bone. This creates intense pain in their calf, making them unable to stand, and it causes immense pain on the damaged leg. The practitioner's Strength must be equal or higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

*Stop Pointing
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
This technique requires the practitioner to get close and personal, grabbing the opponent and forcing them into an armbar. Once the opponent is forced into an armbar, the practitioner must then open up their fingers and bend them back with immense force until they break or dislocate. This prevents the opponent from forming handseals unless they relocate their fingers or mend the bone breakage ,however those with particularly high endurance and pain tolerance may be able to do seals but with 3/4 of their original speed. The practitioner's Strength must be equal or higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

The practitioner claps their opponent's ear with the palm of their hand, swinging wide to gather as much force as possible before the strike. This causes bleeding and a ringing sensation in the opponent's ear, hampering their ability to hear properly. This also causes an influx of pressure in the opponent's ear canal, compromising the opponent's balance. The practitioner's Strength must be equal or higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

The practitioner positions themselves in a fighting stance and performs a quick jab with their dominant hand striking their opponent's nose in an attempt to break the cartilage. This causes immense pain and hampers their sense of smell as it fills with blood. The practitioner's Strength must be equal or higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

Pre-Requisite: 10 strength
The practitioner sidesteps the opponent's punch and grasps the striking arm with their corresponding hand before raising their free arm and ramming their elbow into the opponent's elbow with their full force. This strike cleanly breaks the opponent's radius bone in two pieces. TThe practitioner's Strength must be equal or higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

Prerequisite: 10 Strength
The practitioner grabs the opponent by the shoulders and attempts to drive their knee ininto the opponent's pelvis full-force, using the hard part of their knee cause a localized fracture.This fracture inhibits the opponent's ability to sprint or run, and it causes them to stand at an awkward angle, inhibiting their ability to stand in a stable fighting position. It also causes the opponent to be off-balance as they attempt to relieve the pain by putting more pressure into their knees. The practitioner's Strength must be equal or higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

The user releases a powerful shout that radiates out in strength meters, bolstering herself and her allies, allowing them to be immune to pain and fear for 5 posts.

The user will tense their body as they hit and apply pressure to the main arteries in their thighs and abdomen. Giving them increased blood flow and resolve boosting their endurance +12 and -12 to control. This can overlap and be used with other stances.

The practitioner strikes the opponent's chest with two quick, successive palm strikes, the force radiating through the opponent's rib cage. If the practitioner's Strength equals the opponent's, all of their ribs will suffer fractures. This causes the opponent severe pain in their chest and have extreme difficulty breathing and can cause the lungs to collapse if neglected not healed or treated for continuous fighting. If the practitioner's Strength is 3 points higher than the opponent's Strength, this technique will completely break the opponent's ribs, causing them to puncture their lungs requiring Iijutsu to be healed.

Prerequisites: 30 Strength *Unbreakable
The practitioner has achieved such mastery of their conditioned body they have learned to use their body as a weapon even on defense. Taking a wide and open stance planting their legs giving them a powerful base, Making them far more difficult to knock of their feet. The practitioner then lets their hands stand firm and ready at their sides and tucking their chin down to embrace an attack at a moments notice! The strength in this stance shines when an attack is coming. When anticipating an attack instead of attempting to defend or evade the attack in a traditional way instead they embrace it! Letting the strike almost find it's target, before angling a hard part of their body such as the cranium to break the hand, or letting a kick find it's way to their leg then angling the shinbone or knee as they plant down hard to smash an enemy's bones. Essentially punishing the enemy's for attacking. If the stance is used and timed correctly then this can cause fractures for those attacking. Requiring the opponent to have 5 greater endurance than the practitioners strength in order to resist this effect.

Unrelenting Fury
S-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The user draws on their inner rage and tenses their whole body as the flood of emotions flows through them. Entering into a frenzy they experience a boost in power +10 to strength and +5 to speed. This comes at the cost of their mental stability as a whole -10 to willpower and -5 to control. This effect can last for up to 8 posts.

Toryu:
Toryu, a style of Kenjutsu founded in the Land of Pebbles, melds traditional kenjutsu swordplay with subversive feints and sudden bursts of close-quarters combat, two unyielding hills crashing together to form a mountain. Toryu typically favors the use of the blade with one hand, utilizing the freedom of movement to use one's hands, joints, legs, head, and even the hilt and handle of the sword to make an already deadly style more unpredictable and more lethal. Ignorantly considered a very "unrefined" style by most practitioners of the sword, Toryu is actually one of the most difficult styles of Kenjutsu to learn and master. The very basic premise of the style revolves around the firm control and manipulation of one's own movements and body, some techniques requiring execution while using another attack as a feint or misdirection while not sacrificing strength. The style has no weapon requirements outside of a sword, but many users often prefer kodachi, wakizashi, ninjato, or even tanto, the reduced size and weight of the blades having fewer blind spots and making the user's weapon more mobile.

A practitioner of Toryu is capable of attacking with every part of their body, even their heads. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity and experience with executing palm strikes, heel strikes, knee strikes, elbow strikes, and headbutts/skull bashes just as effectively as regular punches, kicks, and sword strikes. This Discipline allows the practitioner to consistently execute these kinds of attacks while minimizing or eliminating openings in their defenses or shock/damage they would experience while using these kinds of strikes.

The signature Stance of Toryu, practitioners relax the muscles in their bodies, gaining additional flexibility in their movements in how they approach the enemy, how they retreat, how they evade attacks, and how they attack the opponent. This Stance allows the practitioner to more easily read opponent's attacks and defend against them by evading in unusual ways, such as ducking, bending around, and quickly sidestepping attacks without needlessly exposing themselves to additional attacks. This fleet-footed Stance lets the practitioner mix up their movements to confuse and misdirect the opponent, allowing them to attack lesser-known openings in the opponent's guard. It also allows the practitioner to rapidly and reflexively change the angle, position and grip of their weapon with minimal movement, allowing them multiple manners in which they can attack the opponent or defend against attacks.

Prerequisite(s): 8 Strength.
One of Toryu's many grappling techniques, the practitioner steps in close to the opponent, slamming their heel into the opponent's foot to lock the target in place. In the same movement, the practitioner grabs the opponent's arm and flips them over their back, slamming them to the ground unless the opponent has an Acrobatics technique of an equal or higher rank than this technique. The prone position this leaves the opponent in leaves them exposed to an attack of opportunity from the practitioner's weapon after executing this technique.

D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 8 Strength.
Designed as a counterattack but also a potent attack by itself, the practitioner will first wait to block or parry an opponent's attack with their weapon. Then, the practitioner will quickly counter with a swift knee strike to the opponent's stomach or diaphragm to stun them or cause them to stagger by winding them, followed by a quick slash or stab to their chest or stomach. The practitioner may choose to use this as an attack instead by immediately leading off with the knee strike if they so wish. Opponents with equal or higher Endurance than the practitioner's Strength can resist being winded.

Designed as a counterattack but also a potent attack by itself, the practitioner will first wait to sidestep an attack before countering with a swift elbow strike with their sword hand to the opponent's face to stun them or cause them to stagger by winding them, grabbing the opponent's arm or garment with their unarmed hand to hold them in place. Immediately following the elbow strike, the practitioner will pull the opponent to one side while executing a slash in the opposite direction with their sword hand. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can escape from the grappling component of this technique.

Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength, *[Toryu • Cobblestone Skeleton].
A brutal, raw technique, the practitioner quickly dashes into an opponent's range, often after avoiding an enemy attack, momentarily torquing the muscles in their legs before launching a powerful knee strike directly up into the target's diaphragm and sternum in an attempt to stagger the opponent. Aside from potentially fracturing or even breaking bones, the opponent can potentially be left winded. This sudden attack can potentially open up many vulnerable areas on the opponent's body for possible finishing moves.

A technique allowing the practitioner to partially customize their focus on defense or offense, the practitioner guards against attacks while immediately attacking subsequent openings with their free hand. The form this takes depends on which hand they prioritize for defense. Should they choose to guard with their sword hand, the practitioner deflects the attacks outwards, away from the opponent's center of mass where their guard is strongest, and responds by launching unarmed counter-attacks like a punch, elbow, or throw. If they choose to guard with their unarmed hand, the practitioner blocks the attack by intercepting the haft of the weapon or the opponent's wrists with the back of their fist or forearm and counter with more lethal slashes and stabs from their sword.

Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength.
Rushing in towards the opponent either as a charging attack or after evading an opponent's attack, the practitioner starts with their arms crossed in front of their chests before quickly sweeping their elbows up over their heads, the flat of the practitioner's front-most elbow potentially striking the opponent under their chin. While this elbow strike can cause considerable damage by itself, the purpose of the elbow strike is to cause the opponent to dodge. With their arms crossed over their heads, the practitioner braces their unarmed hand against their sword arm and swings both down at once. The additional torque provided by the unarmed hand allows the sword strike that follows to immediately accelerate to maximum speed. The practitioner can twist or sidestep during this downswing to compensate for where the opponent is dodging.

After much training with grappling, clinching, blocking, deflecting, and parrying weapons, the practitioner gains skin as sturdy as rock, allowing them even more avenues for defense and attack. This Discipline represent's the practitioner's body conditioning for toughening their skin all over their bodies, especially on their hands. This makes the practitioner's skin harder to cut or penetrate, and it allows the practitioner to perform normally self-destructive feats, such as blade catches, without needlessly harming themselves.

Prerequisite(s): *[Toryu • Granite Epitaph].
Varying in usefulness depending on the practitioner's position in relation to the opponent or the reach of the opponent's weapon, the practitioner places themselves slightly offset to one side in the path of an opponent's attack. The practitioner then attempts to catch the opponent's blade or weapon, latching on tightly at the weapon's dullest point before violently twisting and pulling the weapon away from the opponent. If the practitioner catches the opponent's weapon, and if the practitioner's Strength is higher than their opponent's average of their Strength and Endurance, rounded up, the practitioner can immediately yank the weapon from the opponent's grip, disarming them.

Prerequisite(s): Strength stat must be equal to or higher than Speed stat.
A difficult technique designed to use the opponent's own forward moment against them, the practitioner waits until the opponent begins advancing. Then, waiting for the opponent to launch an attack, the practitioner throws themselves bodily into the opponent before the attack is executed, slamming into the opponent and potentially stunning them. Then, momentarily torquing the muscles in their body, the practitioner grabs the opponent's arm and releases that energy into a violent downward flip that accelerates the throw to the practitioner's max Speed. The practitioner drops to one knee to finish the throw right in front of them, cratering their opponent as they immediately bring their blade down to stab the opponent in the chest, neck, or head. This technique can be used as its own attack or as a counterattack. The opponent can escape the grapple if they have an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique.

Prerequisite(s): 25 Strength.
Used both as a regular aggressive attack or as a counterattack, the practitioner will grab one of the opponent's arms with their unarmed hand. At the same time, the practitioner will bring their sword hand, holding the blade in a reverse grip, and bodily slam their fist into the opponent's throat. Immediately dropping down during the execution of the punch, the opponent is cratered into the ground and potentially stunned, allowing the practitioner to quickly slit the opponent's throat and finish the match. The opponent can escape the grab if they have an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique.

A technique both used as an attack on its own or as a counterattack, the practitioner rushes in close to the opponent and feints a slash by crossing their arms together. Instead, however, the practitioner momentarily torques the muscles in their arms and violently rams their head upwards into the opponent's chin, potentially stunning them. Almost immediately after delivering the headbutt, the practitioner released the tension in their muscles, pushing out the sword arm with their unarmed hand, resulting in a slash that immediately accelerates to the practitioner's maximum Speed, often fatally wounding the opponent as the blade slashes through muscle, bone, major vessels, and organs. Opponents with an Acrobatic technique of equal or higher rank can resist being stunned.

A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 35 Strength.
The practitioner will momentarily torque the muscles in their legs as they brace themselves against the earth. Then, the practitioner will rocket forth in a dash towards the opponent, the force of their movement causing a localized earthquake within a number of meters equal to the practitioner's Strength. The earthquake rocks the ground with a force equivalent to 3/4 the practitioner's Strength stat, rounded down. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique are stumbled, the movements of the ground preventing them from moving. The practitioner then slams into the opponent with a charging attack. This charging attack will knock away any opponent with a lower Strength than the practitioner's Strength up to a number of meters equal to the practitioner's Strength, aside from causing significant damage. The practitioner can choose what form this attack takes, such as a punch, kick, knee, elbow strike, headbutt, shoulder charge, etc.

Kūgāpou:
This taijutsu style is all about avoidance, with grace. In this style, the user may slap away blades, thrown weapons, and other objects, all in the interests of preserving one's self. However, this style isn't necessarily about avoiding all damage, so much as avoiding the worst damage. In instances where the user is going against an opponent they can't match, they may use this style to avoid fatal injuries and instead receive less serious injuries and live to fight a bit longer, or even another day.

D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Soft Paws is a bare-handed deflection technique and is used against bladed weapons. At this level, the practitioner is able to read the angles of the attacks to place the flat of their hand against the flat of the blade and push it away without getting cut by the weapon. However, prolonged use of this technique will cause the practitioner to suffer bruises on their hands.

D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Soft Paws
After using Soft Paws to slap a blade away, the practitioner will continue moving forwards while jutting out their elbow. The momentum from the target's original attack that was slapped away, coupled with the sudden defenselessness of the target after having their attack deflected, makes for a powerful counter-attack. The elbow can be aimed anywhere on the torso and above, but is usually aimed at the target's face.

*Kūgāpou • Down Paw
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever a bladed weapon is coming towards the practitioner, they can slam their palm against the top of the blade, pushing it downwards. This can either cause the sword to miss or, if the practitioner's Strength is equal to or higher than the Strength of the attack, can force the sword into the ground. This technique only works on blades that aren't double-edged.

*Kūgāpou • Down Rush
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Down Paw
After using Down Paw to drive the opponent’s blade downward or into the ground, the practitioner will rush forward and ram their shoulder into the opponent, driving them back and away from their weapon or even taking the weapon from them outright.

D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever in a situation where they can't avoid being struck, the practitioner will slightly shift their body. This slight movement allows them to cause the incoming attack to miss any vital organs and cause as little damage as possible.

C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Useful for dealing with an opponent using a short weapon, such as a kunai, knife, or dagger, the practitioner waits for the opponent to attack. Taking advantage of the small size of the weapon, the practitioner then aims a slap or a punch at the opponent's fingers, aiming to simultaneously push the weapon off its trajectory and damage or even crush the opponent's fingers.

C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner catches an attacking weapon with both hands and halts its momentum. Once they have stopped the motion of the attack, the practitioner will wrench their hands in a single direction to deflect the weapon or even rip the weapon out of the opponent's hands. Opponents with a higher Strength than the practitioner's Strength can resist being disarmed.

C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Ducking under an attack from either side, the practitioner lifts their off-hand just enough to touch the weapon against its side and shove it outward, adding to its momentum to either imbalance the opponent or disarm them. As the practitioner comes up from under the attack, they will aim a direct punch at the opponent's face or chest.

*Kūgāpou • Return Fang
B-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Intercepting an opponent's weapon attack, the practitioner will catch the opponent's hands in their own, turning the direction of the weapon back towards the target and impaling them with it. Opponents with a Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can resist having their weapon turned on them.

Akemi is youngest of three children born to her parents, Kanata and Daisuke. Her mother primarily stays at home, painting, singing or playing music. Her father works in administration at the Hokage’s office. Her two older brothers, Katashi (the oldest) and Katsuo, have different paths to her parents. Katashi is an architect, working closely with the merchants of Konoha and the Hokage’s office for building and development. Katashi is married with three children and lives outside the main Nara complex. Katsuo is a Jounin who primarily works abroad. He’s almost never home, constantly going out on mission after mission or spending his off time in whatever country he finished in last. He'd always wanted to see the world and experience everything it had to offer.

Akemi’s early years were a struggle for her. Having such an age gap between her and her brother’s (eight and six years respectively) made it so that she was often alone. Her father worked long and hard hours everyday, and her mother’s creativity couldn’t be contained. Unless she was having a dry spell, then it fell to Akemi to take care of her and their home. With her brother’s out more often than not, this also left a lot of the cleaning and cooking on her plate. She grew up feeling very relied on and like she could never do anything for herself or really be a child. And when her brothers were home, they tormented her relentlessly about the work still left to be done. They always perceived her to be of little value and of minor intelligence. Always knowing which sore spot to poke at and get a rise out of her, giving her very low self esteem and a low sense of belonging. Her father tried but wasn’t around enough to make a difference. She knew her parents loved her, but she wished that they could be real parents to her, care for as the child and take on the responsibilities of running the house themselves.

When Akemi was eight, she entered the academy. She felt like she was obligated to go, not having any other talents beyond being to hit things hard, and she wanted to make something of herself. She couldn’t stand the thought of sitting in an office all day like her father and eldest brother or painting like her mother. But she didn’t want to be like Katsuo, never being home. She had vowed that no matter where her path as a shinobi took her, she would always come home. Whether it was to care for her family or to just simply be reminded of who she was and where she came from. Her time at the academy was mostly uneventful. She learned to harness her strength into taijutsu, getting more out of her punches and learning to infuse them with katon for more damage output. It gave her discipline and purpose, being able to channel all her negative feelings into something productive, leaving her happier and less stressed.

Her years as a genin were spent with her team, honing her skills and picking up missions throughout Konoha. During the last years of the great war, those missions were more precarious, delivery much needed supplies and urgent communications from village to village. Her teammates; Kohaku, a member of the Senju clan using wood style and Eiji a genjutsu user, were solid and reliable. She found a makeshift family with the young men. Choosing to spend a lot of her free time with them either training or goofing off around the village. When it came time for the chunin exams she felt prepared but nervous. Failure didn’t seem like an option. She wanted something that was just hers away from the accomplishments of her family. Something she knew that she didn’t need them for to complete on her own and be proud of. The little voice in the back of her head was telling her she wanted it more so that they would be proud of her, notice her more or appreciate her more. But she knew that voice was pointless to listen to. Fourteen years of the same old story had proven that. Her team was scheduled to fight a skilled chunin, Hyuuga Hanako. It was a tough fight; they hadn’t fought someone with a raiton affinity yet. But they were able to read each other’s movements well enough to form a plan of defense. Kohaku used his wood style to take the brunt of the raiton coming at them, Eiji was having a hard time using his genjutsu because Hanako kept interrupting his casting with the use of her raiton in such close quarters, so he focused his efforts on raining down shuriken and explosive tags to provide a distraction on the battlefield. Akemi had surrounded her body in flames to better power through any doton structures that Hanako had constructed and fought her way through this hazardous obstacle course to get in to hand to hand combat. She noticed once she was engulfed in flames, Hanako’s composure changed, where she once stood firm and confident, she now looked scared and panicked. Once Akemi was close enough Kohaku would use wood style to do an AOE effect interrupting Hanako’s raiton casting, giving Eiji the opportunity to double snap and perform his necessary hand seals to use his genjutsu to pacify Hanako and Akemi would come in, dousing her flames noticing Hanako’s aversion and finishing the fight with a fist across Hanako’s orbital bone. Effectively knocking their opponent unconscious. Once the dust settled, they realized that they had won and let out a resounding cheer as they all toppled together in a group hug on the ground. They had passed and graduated. And were excited to see where their next steps led them to in the future. At her graduation ceremony within the Nara compound, she was given her Kiridashi by her grandfather, with the instruction that “True strength lies not in what we can do physically, but in what we can create in the time provided to us.” A concept Akemi struggled with, but her grandfather was wise, and only spoke when something needed to be said.

Just after her seventeenth birthday, Akemi was sent on a mission to deliver medical supplies to villages surrounding Wind country, evading Iwakgaure patrols. She encountered some bandits along the way, wanting whatever supplies they could gather from travellers. She knew her delivery was important, healing and medical supplies were in dire need after the war. The band of four attacked her simultaneously. She infused her body with her katon as a sort of deterrent and went about avoiding their weapons and the worst of the damage. As she saw openings, she made sure to deliver hard hits to their vital spots to insure a quick end to the fighting. The flames encasing her body left a burning effect on the men as they went down. Once they were all out cold, she tied them to a tree just off the path, making sure to discard their weapons some distance away. And she continued to on her way. The citizens were clearly beaten down and the villages had a distinct lack of warmth now. There was significant infrastructure damage and grief everywhere she looked. She knew war was difficult and caused such difficulties, but this was her first time really seeing the aftermath and it gave her pause. She wished she could have done more during the war. Been of actual use and helped people beyond being a messenger or delivery girl. She knew she had to work harder. Maybe going up in ranks and taking on more responsibility would help bring these villages and people back to where they once were, standing proud and peaceful. Upon her return to Konoha, Akemi was promoted to special jounin, for her service record thus far and in completion of her latest mission which resulted in the four men being arrested and those villages receiving their much-needed delivery. Akemi felt pride at her promotion, and wondered where this would take her next.

Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own. Additionally, Katon jutsu have a Burning effect, and burn anyone they come in contact with with [Control] strength.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will exhale a small thread of fire at [Control] Speed. The thread will quickly thicken and take the form of a whip with [Control] Strength. This whip can stretch up to 15 meters long and produces burns with [Control] Strength. The whip can also be used to start fires. This jutsu lasts 3 posts.

After performing the correct hand seals the user draws in a deep breath before exhaling out a cone that is up to five meters long and three meters wide at it's base. The cone travels at a speed equal to [Control] and impacts with a strength equal to [Control].

After performing the correct hand seals, the user runs their hands alongside a potential fuel, once they take their fingers off everything the ran their hand over will ignite, the flame burning at [Control] Strength. By channeling chakra into their fingers, the user then attempts to make contact with the opponent. In the event that the strike is successful, the fingers release a [Control] strength Explosion of Katon outward towards the targets body. If unused, lasts 3 posts.

By channeling katon chakra into their body, the user will release a burst of flame around their entire body, coming outwards from them. This sphere of roiling fire pushes outward with [Control speed and impacts whatever it touches with [Control] strength, the sphere extending roughly 25 meters in radius from the user's body.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will bring their fingers to their lips and puff their chest out, before blowing out a massive fireball. The fireball will be Control/5 meters in diameter and travel, with [Control] Speed and Strength, for 30 meters before fading into the air harmlessly.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will bring their fingers to their lips and puff their chest out, before blowing three fireballs the size of the users head. These fireballs will divide into two on their journey, making for a total of 6, and often shooting in different directions to make it hard for the target to dodge. Each fireball has it's own [Control] Speed and Strength. The user has 3 posts after using this jutsu to fire the fireballs, and they may fire them one at a time or all at once.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will bring their fingers to their lips and puff their chest out, before blowing out a 2 meter in diameter fireball in the shape of a dragon's head, with [Control] Speed and Strength. This fireball will travel for 60 meters before exploding with [Control] Strength, or it will explode on impact. The fireball is able to be directed up to 2 times in a 180 degree angle. This fireball will fly for 3 posts.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will bring their fingers to their lips and puff their chest out, exhaling a concentrated stream of fire, about 6 inches in diameter, with [Control] Speed. The stream of fire will travel for 60 meters before fading away. Upon contact with the stream of fire, the victim will be engulfed in a blaze of [Control] Strength fire. As the fire burns the victim, it will take the form of bindings around the victims body, pressing their legs and arms toward their body with [Control] Strength. The bindings last for 5 posts, but do not burn the victim or ignite them.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will form a condensed 5cm diameter, 3 meter long spear of fire in their hand then throw it at an opponent. At any time during the course of the spear's travel, the user may use Chakra Kai to activate the spear. This causes the spear to rapidly unwind and expand into a 10 meter long, 7 meter diameter whirlwind of fire at a speed of [Control]. On impact, the spear will then explode with [Control] strength.

After performing a long string of hand seals, the user will bring their hands together as if to mold a ball of clay, focusing a massive amount of chakra into their hands. They will then slam their hands onto the ground or a similar surface, causing a ripple of fire to emanate out in a 80 meter radius at [Control] speed. Anything caught in the wave will become ignited instantly. Following this move, the user will then forcefully remove their hands from the ground and fling them to the sky, shooting fireballs into the air which will then reign down over the same radius at [Control] speed, and impact with [Control] Strength. The epicenter of both techniques will remain untouched by the flames, as the user is there.

S-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will spawn up to 16 1-meter diameter sized flame constructs behind them. These constructs resemble the buds of a flower. For the next 5 posts these flames will follow closely behind them, as if anchored to their user, and at their command, will be launched in any order or combination they wish at any target within 30 meters at [Control] speed and strength. On impact the buds expand and bloom into full flowers, spewing fire around the immediate area.
