- Face/head: Rinko has straight, blue-gray hair that falls to her shoulders, courtesy of her Ishiguro genes and a recent haircut. Her eyes, large and unassuming, are a bright light green. Her skin is rather pale, allowing blushes to be easily seen. She still has a little bit of baby fat on her cheeks, giving her the ability to simply blink a little and give the puppy dog eyes to get what she wants.
- Body: Rinko is rather short and skinny, with little muscle and fat on her bones. Her chest is only beginning to grow, much to her disappointment, but she's not too torn up about it. She scars easily, so there are often variously colored and sized scars on her body from training.

- General: Despite everything, Rinko is a shy, optimistic dreamer who believes wholeheartedly in her village and her clan. She often has some bad cases of hero worship when confronted with people she knows specifically to be strong shinobi, as becoming one of Them, where Them (with a capital letter) is the elite, is her dream. She acts quite childish on occasion, willing to do most anything for sweet snacks and desserts, and carries around her own candy, although she'll happily share if you ask her nicely.
Unfortunately, she finds it quite hard to make friends, or even interact socially with others, as she suffers from prosopagnosia, the inability to recognize faces, so she often ends up treating people like strangers, which, to young children, is quite rude, and is baffling to adults. She spends quite a lot of time out in nature, mostly because she decidedly prefers open air to enclosed spaces, and because there are less people out there she has to be polite to and pretend to remember. Rinko is also very lonely, if one really looks for it; with her mother dead and her father gone, she has never really had any close family to rely on. - Hopes/Dreams: Rinko wants to become one of Kumo's elite and become recognized for her skills, despite her inability to recognize faces.
- Fears: Rinko really, really doesn't like enclosed spaces. She also fears death, like any other sane being, and doesn't like spiders. They're creepy.
- Combat Mentality: Rinko, with her lack of physical strength and ability to recognize opponents, has turned to ninjutsu and genjutsu to support her allies in battle. She aims to end any fights she gets in as quickly as possible, and get back to the safety of her more combat-oriented teammates.

This genjutsu lasts for three (3) posts.

This simple technique is utilized by medical-nin in place of traditional thermometers, although it is not as accurate. After forming a single handseal and focusing chakra into an object in his/her hand, the user can place it within the mouth (or rear) of the patient. If the patient's temperature is above normal body temperature, the chakra within the object will clump together near the top of it, while if the body temperature is below average, the chakra will form much lower down on the object. This technique can be held as long as the user has chakra.

When real latex gloves are not on hand, the *[Iijutsu • Chakra Gloves] technique comes in quite handy. This technique can be held as long as the user has chakra.

Not unlike the *[Iijutsu • Chakra Gloves] technique, *[Iijutsu • Chakra Mask] shines when the real deal is not on hand. After forming a single handseal, the user will focus chakra into the area around his/her mouth and nose to form a thin layer of chakra around them. This chakra will help to keep the user from breathing bacteria onto a patient during procedures. This technique can be held as long as the user has chakra.

D-Ranked Ninjutsu
As sanitation cannot always be guaranteed in field operations, this technique provides a quick substitute to traditional sterilization methods. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will channel the chakra throughout his/her upper body (torso, arms, hands, face). This chakra will chew away at harmful bacteria and other foreign bodies on the skin, cleansing it until it is thoroughly sterile, and can be spread to objects, most commonly surgical tools. Of course, this takes both concentration and time, and in order to sterilize the entire upper body, it will take a duration of one (1) post. Users of this technique can also choose to sterilize certain parts of their upper body or the wounds of another person instead for a lesser concentration period. Once they are sanitized, they remain this way until coming in contact with more bacteria.

D-Ranked Ninjutsu
This highly useful field technique is applied to bleeding wounds to help encourage the coagulation of the blood. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will hover them over the bleeding wound and begin to channel chakra through it. The chakra will began to thicken the blood, causing it to clot. Wounds must be dealt with one at a time, and the number of wounds that can be tended to within the three (3) posts that this technique lasts depends on their size. Small wounds take very little time to clot, while moderate wounds take one (1) post of concentration to clot, and large wounds take two (2) posts to clot. Although this technique stops the bleeding, the wound remains vulnerable and will require further care after this has been performed.

When traditional stitching supplies aren't available, *[Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching] truly shines. After performing a short set of handseals, the user will gently place his/her index finger at the base of the patient's wound. Once this is done, the user will lift his/her finger and touch it to the other side of the wound, causing a visible 'stitch' of chakra to appear. This is repeated until the wound has been pulled together. Although precision is key, this technique can still be performed relatively quickly. Small to moderate wounds take very little time to stitch, while large wounds will take one (1) post of work to mend. This technique drains a minuscule amount of chakra from the person it is attached to in order to keep the stitches going, theoretically, ad-infinitum, and can be cancelled at any time by the user with a single handseal. Any intensive or strenuous movements will cause the stitches to break.

Once applied, the selected object will adhere to the flesh around the wound, protecting it from bacteria and other harmful foreign bodies. Objects used for the bandage technique are automatically sterilized in the process. These bandages drain a minuscule amount of chakra from the person it is attatched to in order to keep them stuck on, theoretically, ad-infinitum, and can be cancelled at any time by the user with a single handseal. While not as effective at stopping bleeding as the [Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching] technique, they hold on much better in the case that strenuous movement is necessary.

Mariko and Kunio were still young and only dating when they ended up having Rinko, and got married soon after. Unfortunately, they had rushed into marriage without realizing if they really wanted to spend the rest of their lives with each other, and ended up fighting more often than not, mostly because Rinko was a loud, squalling infant.
As Rinko grew older, she began spending more and more time outside the house, exploring the village and trying to escape the inevitable blow-ups over the tiniest things she did, which were made even worse by her prosopagnosia. She knew who her parents were, due to spending much more time with them, but any frequent visitors to the house were treated as strangers, which frustrated her socialite mother, who couldn't even show off her child. Rinko grew quieter and quieter as time went on, hiding away in her room or outdoors. Her more gentle-natured father spent more time away on missions, and her mother, who had retired after having Rinko, stubbornly ran a simple bakery far away from their home in the Ishiguro tower.
When she was six years old, about to turn seven, her mother was found murdered in the back room of her bakery, and her father had disappeared. Ishiguro investigative forces, seeing the evidence and having had many witnesses to the couple's constant fighting, assumed that he had killed her mother and left Kumo to become a missing-ninja. Case closed. Rinko, who had faith in her gentle-natured father, refused to believe that her father had murdered her mother. To this day, she will not speak of the incident.
Placed into the care of her other family members, Rinko was enrolled, as was tradition, into Kumo's Shinobi Academy at the age of 8. As she was unable to hold her own in taijutsu spars, her teacher suggested focusing more on ninjutsu and genjutsu, and it was discovered that her chakra control was more advanced than those of her peers.
