"Gumo no Kiba Roku"
"Roku"

"As long as I'm getting paid..."

General Information Age: 30
Gender: Male
Height: 7'0
Weight: 220 Ibs

Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Ieyasu's face is rather gruff and chiseled, a telltale sign of a long and hard life full of bumps and bruises. The sides of his head are shaved short, while the top is a touch longer than the sides, and his hair is black in color. His eyes are a deep, dark green. He also has a scruffy beard and moustache, a show of his laziness as he doesn't actually like having facial hair.
  • Body: Ieyasu's body is incredibly toned and trimmed, with rippling muscle all throughout his form. He bears tattoos along the length of his body, starting from the neck down to his thighs and covering both of his arms as well. His skin is a medium tan.
  • Notable Features:The most notable of all of Ieyasu's features is the fact that, as a Hatsume, he has six arms. In addition, he is also covered in tattoos, and has quite a few noteworthy scars along his body, the most memorable of which is a giant gash along his stomach from the left hip to the right floating rib.
Clothing/Accessories: Ieyasu wears a simple sleeveless brown shirt, opened slightly at the top of his chest. There are extra holes in the sides of the shirt for his extra arms, and it's not uncommon for the shirt to get ripped off mid fight due to the small amount of threads on the sides as a result of the extra arm holes. He wears leather vambraces as well as a leather pauldron over his right shoulder, and he has a large belt tied around his hips. Attached to this belt is his ninja pouch and regular shuriken holsters, and below the waist is a pair of simple black pants. He wears thick combat boots for footwear, but his most notable accessories are those on his back; the large box-shaped sheath containing his signature Fuma shuriken, and the large cage-like container full of wire spools. Kumonosu sits along his back like a backpack, while Kumo no mō is strapped to his lower back.
IeyasuShow
Personality:
  • General: Ieyasu, at his core, is actually a very lazy person, despite the chiselled muscle and gruff features he bears. He is a very successful shinobi who hasn't had many failures in his career, but anyone who knows him knows how much of a 'pain in the ass' being a shinobi is for him. He always talks about how he can't wait to retire, how he's ready to live a life without responsibility, a life of luxury. At the end of the day, it's very clear that Ieyasu has no real loyalty to the village as an entity in and of itself.

Instead, Ieyasu is truly loyal to only a few select people, and of course the main goal the man is always in search of: Money. In order to acquire the life of luxury he desires, Ieyasu is always too happy to go out of his way, doing the absolute best that he can, solely because he knows that means a bigger payout. While deep down he does have a heart of gold, and is more than willing to help someone out of a tough spot, unless you are important to him you are only as valuable to him as the coin you carry.

Ieyasu cares not who's in charge of Kumo, and he has no grand aspirations to lead it himself. That would be far too much involvement for him. While he isn't the type to turn on his village for a paycheck, he has no opinion one way or the other regarding Kumo's civil war and the ascension of Raikage Hayate. So long as he gets paid for his work, a child could run the village. That said, if one can get passed his lazy, money grubbing attitude and make friends with him, they'd find themselves more valuable to him than even his coin.
  • Hopes/Dreams: To one day save up enough money to retire early and live a life of luxury with no responsibilities.
  • Fears: Going broke.
  • Combat Mentality: Ieyasu has perfected his personal style, and as a result he is a terror to behold on the battlefield. With his blinding speed and colossal strength, Ieyasu uses his Fuma Shuriken to tear apart even the toughest of enemies with but a few well placed strokes. He is also an expert at throwing and controlling these Shuriken at a distance, whipping them around like yoyos attached to steel wire as he cuts a swath through crowds of enemies with the whirling blades of death.

Each blade is treated with a special coating to make the blade black and nonreflective. Each of these shuriken is kept in a specialized box-shaped sheath, with three of them sticking out of the right side and three out of the left side. The large sheath is kept strapped across the man's lower back, kept in place by a belt.
KumonosuShow
Kumonosu {Arachnid's Web) Is a large spool of wire modified to connect to all 6 of Ieyasu's Fuma shuriken. Each Fuma Shuriken is connected to 20 Meters of wire, allowing him to toss his shuriken as throwing weapons and then control them via pulling and flicking the wires they are attached to. This large spool of wire is kept in a specialized cage-like container, which is worn on his back like a backpack.

Abilities, Specialization and Concentrations
Taijutsu SpecialistShow
Having devoted his life to mastering the art of taijutsu, Ieyasu is classified as a Taijutsu Specialist. Taijutsu specialist are able to devote a total of 10 concentrations to taijutsu, unlike most people who are capped at 8. However, they are only able to devote a max of 5 concentrations to genjutsu, and a max of 5 concentrations to ninjutsu.

As a Taijutsu Specialist, Ieyasu is able to utilize taijutsu concentrations reserved for specialists, and is able to enter the God Tier [45+] on select stats, and meaning as a specialist they can select stats to break into the God tier. These stats are Taijutsu, Stamina, Speed and Strength.
Abilities: 1/3Show
Multi Armed:
All members of the Hatsume family are born with four extra arms, each pair of arms being 6 inches below each other and the same length as the original arms. These arms stick out of the sides of their upper and lower ribcage. These extra arms are a bit harder for the younger members to control, as it is difficult to completely control all 8 of their body's appendages at the same time. Over time however, those with higher Taijutsu can learn to control their extra arms with no problem. Though a Hatsume member is able to use their arms freely outside of combat, The number of arms the Hatsume is able to use proficiently in combat is determined by their Taijutsu stat:
  • 5 Taijutsu gives control of 3 arms
  • 15 Taijutsu gives control of 4 arms
  • 25 Taijutsu gives control of 5 arms
  • 35 Taijutsu gives control of all 6 arms

Roku-Kiba no GumoShow
Roku-Kiba no Gumo:
A style invented by Ieyasu and meant for use solely by Ieyasu himself, Roku-Kiba no Gumo, or The Six Fanged Spider, is a style that utilizes the unique physiology of the Hatsume clan to overwhelm opponents with an onslaught of attacks from six Fuma Shuriken, one in each of his hands. This style revolves not only around throwing them and controlling their flight via wires connected to them, but also around using them in their closed up state as if they were sabres, slashing opponents to pieces.
Concentration Requirements: Close Quarters Combat, Sword Weapons, Acrobatics, Projectile Weapons, Corded Weapons, Heavenly Body Control
[Cross Slash]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Using his Fuma Shuriken as sabres, Ieyasu will lunge towards his opponent and attempt to deliver six simultaneous horizontal slashes. These slashes are delivers in pairs of two, their paths crossing each others along the opponent's neck, midsection and knees, with the intent that if even one of the three pairs of strikes connect, the opponent would be severely crippled or killed.

[Deploy]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Ieyasu will pull his arms back, unfolding all six of his Fuma Shuriken before launching them all out at the same time. These can be aimed for the same target, or separate targets, as needed by Ieyasu.

[Quick Fold]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Ieyasu has trained in depth with his signature Shuriken, enabling him to fold and unfold them with practiced ease and surprising swiftness. This allows him to use his shuriken for melee strikes before quickly unfolding them and launching them out as ranged weapons, with almost no lag between fighting styles.

[Flick]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
After throwing one of his Fuma Shuriken out towards a target, Ieyasu will gently flick the wire connected to that Shuriken. In doing so, he aims to alter the course of the shuriken by up to 90 degrees, without a loss of power.

[Return]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
After throwing one of his Fuma Shuriken out towards a target, Ieyasu will yank back on the wire connected to that Shuriken. In doing so, he aim's to retract the shuriken and pull it back to his hand. It should be noted that, if the shuriken is spinning, it will not stop spinning as it returns to him, allowing it to cut through enemies in the path between him and his Shuriken.

[Spider Spin]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Ieyasu will continuously flick his wires while his shuriken are deployed, sending vibrations through them that then transfer into the shuriken. In doing so, he can cause his shuriken to spin without having actually thrown it, such as when yanking it back to him after it having been stuck. Or alternatively he can force his shuriken to continue spinning regardless of how much time has passed since his initial release, enabling him to control them as ranged weapons for an indefinite amount of time.

[Snatch]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Most people could not even dream of catching a Fuma Shuriken mid flight, as the speed with which they spin and sharpness of their blades make the feat incredibly dangerous to even attempt. To Ieyasu, such a thing is second nature; by lowering his hand the instant the shuriken gets close and reaching it through the loop with a master's grace, Ieyasu has trained himself to always catch his Fuma shuriken as they come back to him, without any possibility of error.

[Spider's Rend]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Ieyasu will lunge forward with his Fuma Shuriken, aiming to stab at least two but as many as six of their tips into an opponent. If at least two successfully connect, he will then turn the blades and use his strength to slash towards the nearest edge of their body, typically rending their flesh apart in the process.

[Spider's Protection]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Being a master of bodily manipulation and awareness combined with his litany of weapons, Ieyasu has trained himself to pay attention to his opponent's every move. Unless the move is specifically meant to use all six of his Fuma Shuriken at the same time, he is always prepared to use the at least one of his Shuriken defensively to bat away weaponry or retaliate to an attack. This makes landing an attack on him especially difficult, as he can attack and defend himself at the exact same time.

[Spider's Pirouette]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Ieyasu will position himself with as many of his Shuriken as he can, their blades facing outwards as he attempts to form a circle with his arms folded around himself. This creates what is essentially a 360 degree circle of blades around himself. He then lunges forward and begins to spin, lashing out with his blades in a circle around himself as he does so.

[Shadow Spider Assault]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
After throwing at least Two of his shuriken, Ieyasu will gently tug on his wires in such a way that he positions one of his fuma shuriken underneath the other's shadow. In doing so, he aim's to obscure the exact position of the second shuriken, attempting to cause the opponent to focus only on the first one so the second one flies unnoticed. He can do this with all of his shuriken simultaneously, hiding three of them within the shadows of the other three.

[Agile Arachnid]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Ieyasu's bodily manipulation has become so great that he is essentially unphased by being in abnormal or compromising positions. As such, he can deliver his techniques with ease no matter what position he is in, be it on the ground or in midair, upside down or rightside up. As long as he is not bound and capable of bodily movement, he is able to use any of his Taijutsu.

[Arachnid's Awareness]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
For most, being flanked or surrounded is a disadvantage at least and a death sentence at worst. For Ieyasu and his unique style of combat, it's no different than any other fight. This discipline is indicative of Ieyasu's ability to fight multiple opponents at once; he is able to stay calm and collected despite the odds, keep track of every enemy and his position in relation to those enemies, and the attacks delivered by those opponents, allowing him to effectively prevent any advantage gained by the usually disadvantageous situation. This jutsu is only truly effective against a total number of opponents equal to Ieyasu's instinct / 3 rounded down. After this point, there is simply too much information to process, and he will start to lose track of his opponents in the chaos.

[Arachnid's Weave]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Once his shuriken are in flight, Ieyasu will tug and flick his wires in just the right way while also gripping and loosening his grip on said wire when needed, in order to control the exact distance and flight path of his shuriken. He can shorten or lengthen their distance from him at will with the slightest pulls, and can alter their flight as many as 180 degrees as necessary to ensure the shuriken always stay on the proper path.

[Pluck the Web]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Should an opponent think it wise to get between Ieyasu's shuriken and himself, Ieyasu can pluck his wire to send a powerful vibration down the wire connected to that shuriken as it connects with the target. In doing so, he gives the wire the ability to slice into the opponent's flesh, causing great injury to the target while also causing the wire to begin wrapping around them. What results in the end is the fuma shuriken inevitably slicing into the opponent as the wire reaches it's maximum distance, shredding the opponent as it does so.

[Eyes of the Arachnid]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Ieyasu has trained his eyes to be able to catch even the faintest hints of movements, allowing him to determine threats such as an opponent launching an attack or a trap getting ready to go off. Even something as subtle as the brief tensing of a muscle can be picked up by his incredible eyesight.

[Spider Touch]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Spiders must rely on their ability to feel their web twitch with their legs to know when something has entered their web. Knowing this, Ieyasu has honed his sense of touch to the level of the spider. By feeling vibrations within something he is touching, he can pinpoint the location of any vibrations made within 20 meters of him. Vibrations are created when something touches the surface in question, so things such as walking along the ground or tapping on a wall he is touching will let him know exactly where the vibration came from.

[Spider's Scent]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Spider's release chemicals in the air that other spiders can smell very easily at long distances to ward off competition or attract mates. Knowing this, Ieyasu has honed his sense of smell to the level of the spider. His sense of smell is so keen that he can pick up the smell of rotting flesh from 200 meters away. Of course, few things stink that much, so for the average scents like the smell of a human, the range is limited to 20 meters. This allows him to tell the direction of a smell, as well as how close they are based on the potency of their scent.

[Spider's Sound]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Spider's are incredibly sensitive to vibrations of all kinds, as their bodies are covered with hundreds of tiny hairs that let them pick up on sounds and tremors. Knowing this, Ieyasu has trained his sense of hearing to the level of the spider. With this jutsu, he can hear loud or obnoxious sounds from up to 200 meters away. For things of average volume, such as the sound of someone walking or running, he can pinpoint their exact location within 20 meters of his person. This allows him to tell where the sound is in relation to him, and how close they to him.

[Vortex of Webs]
A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Ieyasu deploys all six of his fuma shuriken to their maximum range before spinning them around in one big circle centered around him. He does this while continuously plucking at his wires, keeping the wires vibrating and the shuriken spinning constantly to create what is essentially a giant vortex of gnashing blades and vibrating, cutting wires. He can maintain this as long as he wishes, but he cannot move so long as he keeps this jutsu active.

[Void of the Six Fanged Spider]
A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Ieyasu will focus intently on his fuma shuriken while holding them in their closed form, then deliver as many as six slashes at his opponent with the weapons. Each slash is delivered with such strength that the air itself is displaced entirely by the strike, creating an air vacuum within 2 meters of it as it passes through. He then waits a moment for the air to come rushing back to the area, pulling anything in the area towards the center of the vacuum with a force equal to half his strength. He then follows up with a second slash delivered in the opposite direction of the first, with the hopes that the vacuum brought his enemy closer, or at least knocked him off balance with it's sudden pull, opening them up for the second attack.

[Spider Sense]
S-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Spider's Touch]
Taking his senses a step farther than ever thought possible, Ieyasu has developed such a powerful sense of touch that he no longer needs to be touching the same surface as someone else to feel their movements. The very air is displaced when something moves within it, if only briefly and faintly, but that slight displacement is enough for Ieyasu to pinpoint a moving target's location within 20 meters of him.

[Whirlwind of the Six Fanged Spider]
S-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Ieyasu will focus all of his strength into the wires connected to his deployed shuriken before delivering a single pluck through those wires. This sends vibrations into the Shuriken connected to those wires, causing them to spin with such intensity and strength that they form miniature tornadoes around themselves. These tornadoes will then pull anything within (strength/5) meters into them with a strength equal to 4/5ths his strength, pulling opponents in to them and shredding them to pieces.

[Twitch of the Six Fanged Spider]
S-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Ieyasu takes a mere moment and flexes every muscle in his body with such strength that he creates a small shockwave that spread out a number of meters equal to his strength/5. The strength of this shockwave is equal to 4/5ths his strength, but the true power behind this technique is the speed with which it can be performed. While very draining to do so, this jutsu can be performed in a mere instant, in any position, with almost no preparation. This makes it very effective at creating distance between opponents, redirecting an attack, or lessening the force of an incoming attack.

HistoryShow
Ieyasu was born to one of the poorest families in Kumogakure, a man and woman who were dirt poor for their entire lives. Doing work only fit for the lowest of low, Ieyasu was lucky if his family had enough money for them all to eat more than 1 meal a day. His life of hardship would continue long into his teenage years, but the first chance he got Ieyasu took the chance to join the ranks of the Shinobi of Kumogakure. After all, being of the Hatsume clan, it only made sense to take that plunge; The clan was famous for it's skilled, six armed shinobi.

It was during his years in the academy that he learned of his ineptitude for the chakra arts. The young boy was hardly able to perform the most basic of ninjutsu techniques, and to this day they still earn a small struggle from him. However, he was the youngest Hatsume of the clan to display such an adept control over his unique body, able to adequately utilize four of his limbs by the time he left the academy at age 12. It was also during these years that he discovered his love of the large, foldable weapons known as Fuma shuriken. It was like a fish to water, he was able to almost effortlessly utilize the normally cumbersome weapons both as ranged weapons and in melee.

After his graduation to genin, his father took ill and passed away, unable to afford the medicine necessary for his survival. It was at that time Ieyasu realized that the only thing that mattered in this world was money; without it, he could end up like his father, dead simply because he was poor. He made sure to live a frugal life, saving as much money as he could and only spending money on what was absolutely necessary. He also took the time to delve into tradesmanship in order to make sure every waking moment was spent making money. While he wasn't one for administrative work, finding it tedious and boring even despite the pay, he did take quite well to both the art of glassblowing and jewelry making, his dextrous hands allowing him to easily create fine works of art by suspending jewelry inside statues and jewelry made of glass.

From then on, between his trade and his shinobi lifestyle, Ieyasu was capable of bringing in more money than either of his parents had ever made in their lives. His mother took ill like his father did, and this time Ieyasu was able to afford her treatment and keep her alive for another 10 years before her eventual death at the hands of an incurable condition. While depressing of course, the fact that he was capable of doing something about it, he was able to extend her life, was all the proof he needed that money was the most important thing in the world.

He took dangerous missions, went above and beyond the call of duty, and constantly improved both his trade and his shinobi art, not for honor or glory or recognition, but for the paycheck. This was the driving force that pushed him towards his rank ups, turning him into the great jounin shinobi that he is today. As he grew, his bodily capabilities did as well, and by the time he was a special jounin he was capable of utilizing each and every one of his arms to the best of their ability. While wielding a Fuma shuriken in each hand, he had become a whirlwind of death on the battlefield, bringing an end to the lives of many during the Kumogakure Civil War. After witnessing him cut through a swath of five dozen men in but a few seconds, many began to call him "Gumo no Kiba Roku"; The Six Fanged Spider. From that moment, the man's style had a name, and his notoriety grew to new heights.

Today, as a Jounin, Ieyasu continues life the way he always has; very seldom spending unnecessary money and storing as much as he can for the day when he can finally retire from all responsibility, paying someone else to do everything for him while he lives a life of total luxury.
