HASEGAWA YUUSUKE
> general information_
Affiliation: Jounin - Sunagakure no Sato
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 175 Lbs.
Physical Features: Fully a young man now, Yuu holds an athletic stature, tall, muscular, and with broad shoulders. That said Yuu still has beautiful blue eyes the feminine facial qualities he had in his youth. His skin is still milky and smooth. His once wild golden hair has turned black- perhaps a side-effect of his revival, and is cut to a short length ending just before the bottom of his ears. Additionally, following the tragic loss of both his arms and his left leg, Yuu sports prosthetic, however in most cases his baggy long sleeve shirts and pants cover up the existence of his prosthetic limbs. In all other categories, Yuu is about average.
In terms of his mannerisms, Yuu generally carries himself with a stoic grace that speaks class. This grace is even found in his movement, his running form almost appearing to be more of a dance then anything.
Clothing/Accessories: These days Yuu gets by on a simple outfit. This outfit generally consists of a baggy shirt, a blazer, a jacket, or a tunic and for pants, baggy legged harem pants. Instead of boots, Yuu wraps his lower legs, foot to knee, in bandages and then wears wooden sandals. Yuu's forehead protector is stitched into a bright red scarf that he generally wears.
Personality: When younger Yuu was known for being particularly fiery and filled with angst. This didn't mean he wasn't graceful, it was just that his tact was broken very easily. This was only further intensified by the loss of his sensei, who sacrificed himself to protect Yuu while they were out on a mission. Having overcome his regrets and misery, Yuu found his place of serenity, and in addition to the lack of raging hormones he once had, he generally holds his tact better. This is partially due to the fact that he is beginning to crave the respect of everyone around him, causing him to carefully dictate his actions. In moments where he is more himself, Yuu tends to have a harsh and unruly demeanor, especially when he determines someone is not worth his time. Despite this, Yuu views himself as a tool of the village and is still a duty-driven team player who wishes to protect Suna's society, a society which he learned was far more precious than he had known. This mentality was why the village was able to still trust him to be a shinobi after the events of his past, and even trust him enough to promote him to Chuunin following his return from hiatus.
Post the accident that cost him 3/4 limbs, Yuu seems to be more apathetic to things going on around him and seems to only care about what tweaks he can due to his prosthetic limbs. Yuu also seems more cautious of his jinchuuriki teammates, Inka and Akio. Having seen the former's ability to revive the dead and the latter's ability to create sentient life, Yuu fears such powers of gods being held in the hands of men and is thus very skeptical.

Abilities Prosthetics It is rare to have a second chance at life. Killed in action on an A-Rank mission after having both arms and his right leg blown off, Yuusuke was revived by the host of the Soul Genma, Setsuya Inka. However, due to the experimental nature of Inka's technique, only a damaged soul was recovered. This meant that the medics of Sunagakure were unable to regrow his missing limbs. As a result, Yuusuke used his knowledge of puppetry to create weaponized prosthetic limbs. Connected directly to his chakra pathways and body, Sega is capable of using them as an extension of his body as if they were his real limbs. They are ability channeling enabled. Concentrations Ninjutsu Doton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Doton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the doton affinity. Doton has a passive enduring effect.
Ceramic Style
An extension of Doton and allows Yuusuke to create ceramic materials. Ceramics are durable and sharp, known for being one of the hardest materials known to man right after diamonds yet surprisingly light. Ceramics are also amazing insulators, allowing it to be very resilient against energies, giving it the insulation passive, which stops the transfers of energy from permeating either side. For example, if the outside of a ceramic creation is shocked, the shock will not transfer to the inside. Likewise, if it is torched by flames, the inside temperature will not change, assuming the ceramic is strong enough to withstand the attack.
Kugutsu Style
Otherwise known as puppetry, Kugutsu is an old, tradition-bound style limited to Sunagakure ninjutsu only, due to the secret techniques. The user learns to utilize the tenketsu on their fingers to create strings of chakra, which can be used to control a multitude of things. Most users focus primarily on the use of puppets, wooden, or partially wooden contraptions. Puppeteers as they are called, rely on high control. Those with this concentration lose their free companion, and must use the companion ability to gain companions.[/small]Taijutsu N/A Genjutsu N/A
JutsuCeramicsShowRounds:C-1 Explosive Round
D-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling into his arm, Yuusuke will load the projectile launcher with a single ceramic round. The projectile is shaped like a field-arrow head and is roughly four inches long and 2cm in diameter. On impact the projectile explodes with the force of a single explosive tag, however it's the razor sharp shrapnel scattered over the immediate area that is the real cause for concern.Utility:Bond
D-Rank Ninjutsu
By putting two broken pieces of ceramics against each other, than performing the proper hand seals and tracing the break (or also a crack) Yuusuke will bond/fill the damaged area repairing the ceramic object. This bond has a strength of 5.
[Ceramic Shards
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After channeling into his prosthetics, Sega will cause a ceramic, concave shield to form on the sides of each of his arms. It can be dislodged mechanically. The shield has a length of 1 meter, and a width of 1/2 meter at the widest point. All sides of the shield are sharp. The two shields are created a speed of 4 and have a strength of 6.
Trip Mine
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After channeling into his prosthetics, Sega will touch a ceramic item of his with one hand, while opening the other to create a small plate of ceramic roughly 10cm in diameter. The plate of ceramic is filled with chakra , but quite fragile. When pressure is applied the disk is broken and the chakra in it released towards the object it is bound too, kai'ing it. This is created at a speed of 5 and must be within 50m of the object it is kai'ing.
Reinforce
C-Rank Ninjutsu
After the appropriate hand seals, Sega will touch a piece of ceramics, channeling chakra into it and modifying the structure of the object. This adds +5 strength to it's already existing durability.
Buzz Saw
C-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling into his arm, Yuusuke will create a foot diameter circular saw perpendicular above, parallel to his hand. The circular saw will spin at a speed and strength of 10 for the next three posts, or until cancelled out by Yuusuke.
C-2 Explosive Round
C-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling into his arm, Yuusuke will load the projectile launcher with a single ceramic round. The projectile is shaped like a field-arrow head and is roughly six inches long and 3cm in diameter, a little larger than it's former edition. On impact the projectile explodes with the force of a C-Rank explosion (3 Tags), however it's the razor sharp shrapnel scattered over the immediate area that is the real cause for concern.>misc_PuppetryShow*[Puppetry Style • Puppet Change of Body Stance Technique]
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After completing the necessary hand seals, the user is able to quickly substitute his/her body with one of their puppets. This substitution allows the object to take the force of the attack that was meant for the user, additionally allowing the user to create distance between him/her and the opponent. This technique may only be used a total of two (2) times in a single thread, counting towars the (2) teleportation limit.
*[Puppetry Style • String Toggle Technique]
D-Rank Ninjutsu
By releasing less chakra into his chakra strings, the user is effectively able to 'turn off' some of his chakra strings, giving them no ability to pull or retract anything. In order to accommodate this, the strings will lengthen and shorten so they don't react to anything that they are attached to. The strings can be reactivated by putting a bit of chakra into them, letting the user use them again. This can also be used to attach wires to someone, and then deactivate the wires so they aren't able to feel the wires at all until they are needed. The strings can still be removed as if they were on, though.
*[Puppetry Style • Initiate Puppetry Technique]
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The Puppetry Technique is a Ninjutsu technique used by puppeteers. By releasing chakra from their tenketsu, the puppeteer is able to release chakra strings from their finger. These strings are able to move a max of X times 2 meters away, where X is equal to the puppeteer’s control stat. This jutsu allows the puppeteer to attach their chakra strings to inanimate, chakra-less objects at a speed of 10. While an inanimate object is being controlled, it’s treated as if it has a speed equal to the average of the puppeteer’s taijutsu and control.HistoryShowAs a boy Yuusuke, or Yuu-kun, as his family affectionately called him, was always a dreamer and creative child. He was talented at drawing and loved to create imaginary worlds for him and his four brothers to traverse. By three he was able to use his ninjutsu and showed great promise despite having little interest in being a shinobi. His family considered this a great waste of potential and after much coercion he decided to join the academy.
Far from a champion of the people, his ability to utilize his family's secret style turned out to mean very little in the academy as he showed little progression. His weak and frail form didn't allow him to fight toe to toe with larger kids at first, and when puberty came it didn't do much to help him either. It was then that an academy teacher recommended he should try puppetry style. Yuusuke's parents were behind this decision as they believed Yuusuke could use his ninjutsu aptitude with puppets to gain an edge as a shinobi. They were correct and after years of sub-par performance, Yuusuke found himself easily capable of holding his own against his opponents and eventually placed into the final year of his academy schooling at eleven. At twelve, following a series of clean exams, checkups, and psychological profiling, Yuusuke joined the ranks of Sunagakure's genin as their newest member.
At the time of Yuusuke's graduation, the academy teacher who had originally proposed Yuusuke learned kugutsu was promoted to Jounin and instructed to take on a student. Henrin Rin quickly bid for Yuusuke to be his student and the two began an intense training regiment shortly after. After a two years, Yuusuke had reached a point where he was a shoe-in for Chuunin. Having made it to the mid-rounds in a tournament, completed 8 D-Rank Missions, 4 C-Rank missions, and 1 B-rank mission under special circumstances he left the village, the Genin he was quickly making a name for himself.
During the B-Rank mission, which was a long term assignment, Rin and Yuusuke acted as guards to the desert marketplaces and caravans. Here, he met and made friends with many of the traders from beyond the wind country, and while Rin had always guided him to believe in the luck he had to be born in Sunagakure, the stories of the outside world rapidly began to fascinate him and take hold on him. By the time the mission had ended, seeds of freedom had been planted in Yuusuke's head, and when Rin and Yuusuke were offered a second mission outside the walls of Sunagakure to investigate a string of low-thread bandit robberies, he was more than overjoyed to accept the mission alongside his sensei. As they set out, Yuusuke began to think about fleeing and making a break for the outside world... however things soon took a turn for the worst.
Reports of the bandits had failed to mention that beyond numbers in excess of 20, the bandits were following a rogue ninja from Iwagakure. Before long, Rin and Yuusuke had found this out for themselves when they followed the clues to a trap right in the middle of the camp. Thinking quickly, the Henrin jounin sent his hawk Yama off to warn the village before bracing for battle. From up on the ridge came ten camel-back cross-bowman and from the tents of the camp came at least 10 bandits on foot.
To keep them at bay Rin formed a shadow clone and split himself between the camels and with Yuusuke, back to back against the crowd of scimitar wielding bandits, began his counter attack. He was fast enough to keep up on both ends, unlike Yuusuke. Increasingly outmatched, Yuusuke found his puppet destroyed by the time he engaged his third bandit. Rin had been able to dispose of quite a few foot men and his clone had taken out the archers, but in the process he had used a lot of his energy and the majority of his doujutu's up time to protect Yuusuke. The battle continued and Rin managed to thin the ranks down to two remaining bandits. Struggling to catch his breath, two bandits bee-lined for him and in their engagement, struck his leg. As he struggled to perform hand seals the two closed in on him to strike, when suddenly ceramic blades flew straight past their necks slitting them, light strings of blue chakra attached to them.
And that was when it happened. In Yuusuke's celebration of his triumph, he didn't realize the missing ninja had flanked them from behind. Yuu's eyes widened as the blade came towards him and then his eyes closed. That's when he heard the metallic sound of the sword hitting something. Opening his eyes Rin stood before him, his kunai blocking the missing ninja's blade- and then suddenly the blade split a part into many pieces. His eyes spinning, Rin grabbed Yusuke and dove behind a rock as he parried away the shards that flew at them, though sustaining quite a few cuts in the process.
It had become apparent that the bandits had never mattered, and that his ninja was playing at something more. Something much more. He had wanted Rin's doujutsu. In the end Rin did his best to fight, but ultimately, his leg being crippled made him a slow moving target. Before long Rin fell to the onslaught of the rogue ninja and Yuu was knocked unconscious. When he awoke, he was in Sunagakure's hospital.
An Eidolon nearby had seen Tama and had headed the direction Tama had come from. On the trail of the rogue, they fought and ultimately he was able to sever the rogues arm, causing him to drop Yuu, however his own leg was badly injured preventing him from chasing further and recovering Rin. With that, Yuu remembered his thoughts of the mission- to flee the village, and the thought that he would betray his village and Rin, a man who ultimately gave his life to protect him... it put him into the ultimate shame. One that allowed him to learn that everything Sunagakure imposed and put on it's people was a necessary evil. It was for the greater good. And it was for their safety.
Over two years later Yuusuke was able to recover from his flashbacks, nightmares, and inability to fight from the help of a few genin in the village. Revitalized he was cleared for re-entry as a genin and assigned to be the guardian of two Jinchuuriki boys, Inka and Akio. He was ordered to grow as a team member along with them, and together, they did just that, defeating their chuunin opponent and ranking up chuunin soon after. While Yuusuke got along well with Akio, he detested Inka and the two quite often fought, once to the point of Inka almost killing him, a situation that was so severe disciplinary action was almost given to them by one of the village's bannin. Following that event Yuusuke only began to detest Inka, and secretly Akio, more. Viewing their power as fake and not their own, power given to them.
Eventually, the trio set out to hunt an A-Rank MN. Upon finding him, his cave was heavily booby trapped and acted as his fortress. Unable to push on further, the group was strapped for ideas. Using his boar, and his barriers as cover, the group ran into the cave but could not locate the demon archer. Unwilling to lose to his teammates and also realizing they needed vision, Yuusuke charged forward firing off lightning rounds until he was able to find the enemy- however this allowed the archer to find him. The first shot hit his knee cap and shattered it, severing his left leg. As he laid on the ground bleeding, the sound of a whizzing arrow came- one that would explode. Realizing his fate, he continued to fire off at the enemy archer and tried to leap onto the arrow and grab it to limit it's explosive potential from harming anyone else. In the end, his arms were blown off and his body burned. In fact, he died.
Except for the fact his teammates were gods of death and creation.
And that's when he awoke missing 3 limbs on the operating room table, once more in a Sunagakure hospital, his world turned upside down.
