A dangerous close quarters 'option closer', the Toryu user will sweep in close and try to slam their foot down on an opponent's as well as quickly sweep their arm around the opponent's to lock their elbow with the user's own. This technique is usually utilized for setting up blows or blocking off the weapons of dual-wielding foes and it forces the opponent to break out of the move before counter-attacking.

Prerequisite: 5 Taijutsu, 5 Strength
The user of this technique will attempt to block the blow of his opponent with his blade, relying heavily on the durability of their weapon and their own strength to resist the strength of the opponent's attack. Should they be successful, the user will follow up with a swift kick to the target's chest or stomach to push them away and stun them, then follow up with a quick stab to the chest or stomach.

By releasing two projectiles back to back the user attempts to create a decoy for the second. The practitioner knows their own reliance on ammunition thus emphasizes never being caught without. Unfortunately, this has an impact on the strength of the impact in the form of a -3 strength.

A rather simple genjutsu that is put into place when the user says a statement ending in "When Pigs Fly". Seconds later, anyone who hears the user say that will see several pigs with full hawk wings fly past, just a few feet above the user and the victim’s head, serving as a somewhat confusing distraction.

After performing the hand seals and pricking the opponent with some sort of small weapon (usually senbon), the opponent feels their arms and legs fall asleep. It feels as if the blood flow to these appendages has basically stopped, making their movements a tad sluggish and just all around uncomfortable. This jutsu doesn’t really hinder a person, but it makes everything they do feel off. For those who are attuned to the way their body feels during battle, it can be extremely distracting. Lasts 3 posts.

D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, any victim that sees the user preforming the hand seals will be induced under the genjutsu. This causes the target to begin to smell rotting flesh and decaying bodies. The jutsu can cause nausea and vomiting from the target, depending on how sensitive their sense of smell is. The smell of the dead can also cause some mental stress on the target. This genjutsu lasts for three (3) posts.

The user will do a series of hand seals, then point indiscriminately. Should the target see the pointing motion, they'll be captured in this genjutsu. The user will do a series of hand seals, then whistle, initiating the genjutsu in anyone who hears the whistle. For the next three posts, the victims of this technique will feel tinges of doubt when listening to other people talk. While the doubt isn't strong, it creates a slight feeling that can be used to dissuade them from following instructions of other people if utilized properly.

This is a genjutsu technique that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The ninja will perform some hand seals and make eye contact with the target. Once cast, the world will appear normal to the target until they see the illusion. The illusion is at the discretion of the user. However, they can only make a stationary image, or a visual loop, not a controllable visual illusion. Examples would be a decapitated head on a table, or one of their friends running in circles on fire. This illusions may only last up to 4 posts, or until the user ends the jutsu themselves. As a note, this only effects sight.

This is a genjutsu technique which can be used in quite a few ways. The user forms a hand seal, and as long as the opponent(s) see it, then the genjutsu will begin. The opponent will normally start to panic and try to get rid of the fire, especially since they feel as if they were in actual pain. This genjutsu lasts for 4 posts and will not appear to be able to be extinguished, no matter what the victim does. The illusion is very static, in the sense that it doesn't change with the environment, it merely creates an illusory flame and pain.

This is a three post genjutsu. To start the genjutsu, the ninja does the hand seals that are needed and then places a hand on the target. Until the genjutsu ends the target is able to remember a lot more about their past and has a lighter barrier over their consciousness making it easier for them to spill information. This doesn’t weaken their will, however, meaning if they are aware it’s a genjutsu, they are more than capable of using Kai.

The user does the needed hand seals, and then locks eyes with the target to trap the target in the genjutsu. For the next 10 posts, any pain that the target feels as if nothing really happened, effectively lessening all pain and nerve responses. The target would still be damaged, but any damage done to them would feel as though it hadn't happened, and as such they will usually overestimate their own stamina.

- Face/head: Asuma has a really recognizable face. He loves to paint around his right. He has a darker shade of blue eyes. He als has a bright blue color around his eye, along with a blue line from the middle of his right forehead going down through the blue on his eye to the top right part of his mouth. Although he has black hair, he loves to dye his hair different colors. At the moment, he chose to dye his hair a bright purple color. Over his forehead and around his head, he wears a bright yellow headband with the Sunagakure no Sato symbol on the front.
- Body: He has the average body of a 14 year old. Although he is somewhat muscular from rigorous ninja training, he is relatively normal looking and does not have any significant scars or tattoos on his body.
- Notable Features: His most notable features are his blue paint on his face and his unnatural hair color. He also doesn't wear traditional sand clothing because he deems them as "boring".
Personality:
- General: Asuma strives to be better than everyone else. He has pretty specific goals and in order to achieve them he feels as though he has to get stronger and gain merit. For a lack of a better word, Asuma is known for being rather immature. He loves to joke around, play, and speaks his mind which can often times get him in trouble. He does this as a defense mechanism to avoid serious situations. He knows more than most how serious his situation is and will never give up his dream. Asuma loves to make friends and hang out with them. Although Asuma is often regarded as a goofy child who can't take much serious, internally and privately it is quite the opposite.
- Hopes/Dreams: He has simply one dream, to change Sunagakure for the better. The only way he can see to do that is to become the Kazekage.
- Fears: Dying young and not being able to live up to his reputation.

Toryu Kenjutsu:D-Rank TaijutsuToryu Kenjutsu is a sword style originating from the Land of Pebbles that focuses on not just performing kenjutsu but also weaving close quarters style taijutsu into the bladework. Toryu's specialty is not only learning to capably slash a sword with one hand but also learning to use the hands, joints, legs and even the head to make frighteningly dangerous close quarters fighters. An inelegant style, it is commonly associated with the more 'rough' samurai but in truth it's reliance on two opposing impulses and control of the body makes it one of the more difficult Kenjutsu styles to learn. While usable with most blades, experienced fighters often prefer wakizashi, ninjato and even tanto daggers instead of katana for increased mobility.

Chapter 1: When Life Was Easy
Asuma was born into a ninja family. His father died before he was born due to a fatal mission and his mother died concieving him. He is the youngest of 3 children. His siblings look after him like he is their own. His older brother is 22 and his older sister is 19. They do everything together. Asuma's brother is part of the defensive unit for the village, while his sister is a teacher at the academy. During the Academy, his siblings spent all of their free time teaching Asuma. He went through lots of training and didn't make too many friends because of it. Through his training at home and paying attention in class he graduated from the Academy top in his class. When he became a Genin, he noticed that not that many people knew who he was. This made him sad, until he figured out the best way for people to notice him. Asuma decided to change his look dramatically. He went from wearing the traditional Sunagakure clothing, to bright and colorful clothing. He even went as far as to paint his face and dye his hair! It was obvious that this was one way to get someone's attention. Asuma grabbed the attention from a lot of his previous classmates, but not positive attention. Asuma didn't mind he used it as a way to get noticed. Asuma dyed his hair bright red, but when he decided to take the Chuunin Exams he chose to dye it purple. Asuma didn't mind the attention whether it was negative or positive, as long as people recognized him. He figured it was the first step in gaining merit; for people to know you. Asuma's battle technique was unique compared to the other ninja. A lot of ninja relied on Ninjutsu or Taijutsu and didn't pay too much attention to Genjutsu. This gave Asuma an edge, especially because he loved to use Genjutsu in combat. He took on the Chuunin Exams with confidence and came out with the rank. Now as the brightly colored Chuunin, Asuma is excited to take strides forward to becoming the Kazekage.
