Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Takuma's face is quite soft and feminine, with a small chin and nose, and long eyelashes. His eyes are a deep, dark blue, which contrasts with his light blue hair. He keeps his hair at a medium length, with the bangs dropping down just a touch over his eyes.
  • Body: Takuma is quite thin and lean; strong enough to perform his duties but nowhere near as muscular as other boys his age. His skin is quite pale as well, giving him an almost ghostly appearance at times. Aside from the occasional scar, his body is devoid of any major markings or tattoos, with the exception of his clan traits.
  • Notable Features:As is the case with all Kouseki, Takuma was born with two small circular crystals in the backs of his hands, smooth and polished Lapis Lazuli. In his forehead is another crystal, the Blue Goldstone that he cut and shaped himself into the shape of a smooth circle. The Goldstone absorbs light well, almost appearing black, with many white speckles within it that make it look like a swirling spiral galaxy. In addition, his lips are a dark blue, in correspondance with the Lapis Lazuli he was born with. And of course, the influence of Janesisu no Toukougenma has had a permanent change in his appearance, resulting in his unique "spiral galaxy" eyes and wisps of white chakra that flit off of his person as he moves, appearing like stars trailing behind him. The seal holding the genma in place is positioned on his upper back, between his shoulders. Lastly, his chakra is permanently transformed into a dark black, with white speckles throughout, making his raw chakra look like deep space.

Clothing/Accessories: Typically, Takuma wears a lightly colored poncho over a simple long sleeved blue shirt. The poncho comes with a hood that can cover his head with ease to protect from the harsh desert sun. His pants are a light tan, and he wears simple brown leather boots to protect his feet from the desert sands. He also sports a pair of fingerless dark blue gloves, with the insignia of Suna sowed into the backs of each glove. On the front of his simple black belt, Takuma has two shuriken holsters, and hanging off the right side is a light brown ninja pouch.
Personality:
  • General: Takuma is a very meticulous person, known for having a very keen attention to even the most minute details. More than once he's been accused of over analyzing a situation or object, even so far as to be called paranoid in situations where tensions are high and death is a possibility. But it is this very quality that has kept Takuma alive, as he's escaped or survived multiple situations solely due to paying attention to the innocuous details that many others overlook. This attention to detail is the most obvious when one looks at his puppets, as Takuma is always quick to repair, clean and improve his puppets whenever and wherever possible. He views them as works of art, and the blood and sweat that have been poured into every inch of their design is something that Takuma takes great pride in.

    In contrast to these obsessive behaviors, Takuma is actually a very charismatic person. While he may be blunt from time to time, he usually knows when to cushion his words so as not to offend or hurt those being spoken to. Calm and sincere, Takuma is known for being very empathetic towards his comrades and friends, as if he can truly feel the same feelings as those he's empathizing with. Takuma is also a very protective person, putting the safety and prosperity of his allies above even himself. This of course means that, in a fight, Takuma is far more likely to protect a friend than to defeat an enemy. He would rather save an ally and let the bad guy get away then be responsible for a friend's death due to inaction. This fierce loyalty towards his allies is not easily earned, as Takuma finds it hard to trust after betrayals from his past. But if one works through his walls, Takuma will prove to be a great ally, protector and friend.

  • Combat Mentality:At his core, Takuma is a puppeteer. Most of the fighting is done through the use of his Basilisk puppet, Tokage. However, he does possess a strong control over chakra, and is capable of using Shouton ninjutsu for a variety of offensive and defensive uses. Not one to jump in the fray himself, Takuma serves a team best by staying close enough to control his puppet and protect allies, but far enough away that he doesn't end up a liability.

Tokage (Basilisk)Show
Tokage is a large, quadropedal puppet, it's shape and appearance a cross between a large dog and a large lizard. It's legs are reverse jointed, each 20 inches tall, supporting a 40x30 inch barrel chested body. Unless otherwise stated, Tokage's body is encased within Takuma's Shouton • Cosmic Embrace Technique, covering it's entire body in a non restrictive dark blue goldstone armor, with crystal spikes protruding out as an offensive defense. Extending off from the back end of this body segment is a 60 foot long tail, long and slender, with multiple points of articulation. Meanwhile, the front end of the puppet forms into a head of sorts, measuring a total of 20 inches with 8 inches of that devoted to the neck of the puppet. The skull itself contains two large yellow eyes and a triangular mouth with three circular blades on the tops and bottoms of it's mouth. The framework of Tokage is a light metal, while the plating itself is a dark grain wood. The Cosmic Embrace technique shrouds the entire puppet with blue goldstone crystals, giving the puppet an appearance akin to a Crystalline Basilisk. Tokage's unique weapons are listed in the spoiler below, but it's natural claws and teeth are also capable of dealing damage.

Hidden within Tokage's skull is a large launcher, armed with a barbed crossbow tip attached to thirty meters of chain. When commanded to fire via Puppetry jutsu, the barbed tip will emerge from a small slot in the top of Tokage's skull and fire off with 20 speed and 20 strength, aiming to pierce through whatever it was aimed at. Thereafter, the chain can be reeled back in at the same strength it was fired at, pulling the target towards Tokage.

Hidden within Takuma's mouth are six circular blades with jagged, serrated edges. These blades are attached to a small motor that, when activated via Puppetry Jutsu, causes the blades to spin rapidly. This allows Tokage to bite down on something and shred the thing in question to pieces, cutting anything caught within his maw with 26 strength. The blades themselves spin with a speed of 2.

Strapped to Takuma's back is a large scroll, approximately two feet tall and twenty feet long when fully unraveled. Within this scroll, Takuma keeps numerous applications of the *[Puppetry Style • Storage: Puppet] technique, through which he can safely store and produce his puppets at any time as needed. Currently, he has one puppet stored in the scroll, his basilisk Tokage.
In addition to his puppet and scroll, Takuma carries 10 shuriken in two separate holsters on the front of his hips, and 5 Kunai in a pouch hanging off of his right side.

Abilities
First Ability: Shouton Born to the Kouseki clan, this user is able to utilize Crystal Release, a fusion composed of Doton and Fuuton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require Shouton. Shouton has a absorbing effect.
Passive (Absorbing)Show
Shouton release alone is durable, hard, makes good defenses and produces weapons with ease, but is unique for its absorbing quality. Shouton jutsu have the ability to absorb chakra, and can be manipulated based on the chakra they absorb. This means that any jutsu that does not immediately destroy shouton techniques can actually make them stronger. If a shouton technique is struck by a D-rank jutsu, it is damaged as normal, and if it is not destroyed, the chakra used to damage it is absorbed, and can be used to activate a D-rank Shouton jutsu in response. This energy can be accumulated, where 2 D-ranks equal 1 C-rank, and 2 C-rank equal 1 B-rank and so forth. The absorbing effect does not negate damage to a shouton technique. This absorbing quality has no time limit to its use.
Activation:
Shouton Jutsu have an absorbing quality, which causes them to be created in an inactive state. When a shouton jutsu absorbs chakra it will glow, which signals that it can be activated. Additional jutsu must be used to activate a shouton technique, which can cause a wide variety of effects. Once activated, if the crystal is not destroyed, it defaults to normal Doton, losing the [Absorbing] effect and gaining Doton's [Enduring] effect, but only having 1/4 it's original strength, rounded down.

Janesisu no Toukougenma
The Toukougenma, commonly referred to as the Heaven Genma, is a Genma sealed away and controlled by [Sunagakure no Sato]. The Toukougenma is named as such due to its claim to have made the heavens, with the unique ability to create matter from chakra and reshape the matter it creates through touch. The Toukougenma has Four Forms that it grants upon its host, and with mastery of each form comes access to new aspects of it’s power. The host of the Toukougenma always gains access to the ability of creation, but the process of creation and what it creates varies from host to host. Some hosts only gain the ability to reform matter while others create like never before.

Influences: The Toukougenma is a massive beast, humanoid in shape; its empty stomach seems to be a portal to another world. While darkness and stars dot its skin, bandages seem to unfurl from its limbs and fade away into the etherium. Most interesting, the genma’s eyes are black, filled with nebulae and cosmos that seemed impossibly deep. Each host is influenced differently by these traits, but the Toukougenma is often regarded to create the most beautiful of hosts.

Personality: In spite of her appearance that seems almost unfathomable in form, Janesisu is one of the smaller and cuter of the Genma and her personality matches her appearance. She is generally in a cheery mood and is known for being a little flirtatious from time to time. She uses her flirtatious demeanor and her sheer intelligence to manipulate those around her into getting what she wants. She is prone to insulting those around her, but disguising them as jokes in her cheerful demeanor. Getting away with manipulating and insulting people has caused Janesisu to become arrogant. Her arrogance causes her to show off her talents frequently. Long exposure to this personality shapes her hosts in different ways.

Transformations: Like most of the genma, Janesisu does not always turn her hosts into replicas of herself, and how they go through the transformations varies from host to host. However, each stage has the same boosts:

  • Stage 1: 4 Mastery +2 Chakra Pool
  • Stage 2: 16 Mastery +4 Chakra Pool, +2 Speed, +2 Strength.

"Creation" refers to the Toukougenma's ability to create matter from thin air. Creation comes in different levels of complexity however; "Simple" creations are made up of very basic compounds or even single elements, and can only take simple forms, such as basic weapons, armors, or geometric shapes. "Advanced" creations are far more intricate and can be made up of various complex compounds, or very intricate mechanisms. Whereas a simple creation might be a wooden staff, or a sphere of iron, an advanced creation could be a chemical acid or toxic fume, or a detailed puppet full of various moving parts and gizmos.
Animate CreationsShow
"Animate Creation" refers to the Toukougenma's ability to create autonomous constructs from thin air. These constructs will follow the order of the host, an order given mentally during the casting of the jutsu, to the best of it's ability. While unable to strategize or think critically, Animate Creations are capable of acting indepentantly of the host once they are created, and once their task is completed, they will sit idle until destroyed or dismissed.
HomunculiShow
"Homunculi" refers to the Toukougenma's ability to create a facsimile of life, albeit perverse and flawed by it's very nature of existence. The creations made by this level of power are not truly living creatures; They are not sapient entities, but they are sentient and can utilize their senses to react to stimuli and perform their tasks. They cannot cast jutsu of any kind, and are treated as constructs for the purpose of mechanics. However, they are capable of instinctual reactions and thoughts, and follow the mentally delivered orders of the host without question to the best of their abilities. These creations can range through a variety of forms, ranging from animalistic to humanoid to monstrous, and can be made of any logical form of matter, either "Simple" or "Advanced" in nature. In any case, they are capable of basic communication, and when their tasks are complete, they will return to the host by default, awaiting their next order. They are in no way capable of free thought, and cannot act beyond the scope of what they have been ordered by the host to do, but they can handle obstacles in their way to the best of their ability based on their form of existence. A Homunculi can be 'programmed' with certain personality traits and features, as well as a general mindset when it comes to approaching obstacles and tasks set before them, but cannot act beyond the purview of that mindset. In other words, they aren't capable of improvisation beyond the scope of the mindset granted to them by the host. Homunculi are treated as puppets for the sake of how many Takuma can control at once, and in addition, this allows him to 'purchase' Homunculi as if they were puppets, following all of the same rules as puppets.

Form 0: Simple CreationShow
In Form 0, Takuma shows a few unique characteristics of the Toukougenma's influence. His eyes, once blue and vibrant, have been replaced by what appears to be a 'spiral galaxy' that swirls within the orbs, though they still function as eyes normally would. Occasionally while moving, harmless wisps of white chakra will flit off of him, appearing like stars in the night sky trailing behind his movements. And of course, his chakra has permanently changed to a deep, dark blue with white specks within, appearing like space itself.

From Form 0 and onwards, Takuma has the ability to create "simple" creations using the Toukougenma's power. In addition, having access to this form grants Takuma a 5% price reduction to any weaponry or gear he purchases.
Form 1: Advanced CreationShow
In the first form of the Toukougenma, Takuma's skin will turn incredibly pale as the white chakra of the Toukougenma begins to envelope his form. A single speck of white chakra, a star of sorts, will appear above Takuma's head, and slowly orbit his head in a circle. Along his arms, several layers of lines will form running up the arm, and at times it may appear that his skin is harmlessly peeling back, though at no point do his arms ever actually peel back. His stomach will begin to darken with the black chakra of the genma, with a few specks of white throughout.

While in form 1, Takuma is capable of creating "Advanced" Creations. In addition, having access to this form grants Takuma a 5% price reduction to any weaponry or gear he purchases.
Form 2: Simple Animate CreationShow
In the second of the Toukougenma's forms, Takuma's skin will become even paler, almost appearing pure white, and his hair will begin to turn a pale blue. The black chakra within his stomach will begin to spread up into his chest, stopping at about pectoral level, and there will be more white specks throughout this area as the stars in his chakra grow in volume and intensity. The lines stretching along his arms reveal themselves to be 'bandages', peeling back slightly around the fingers, revealing more black chakra that takes the form of his fingers. These fingers are still physical, and can be cut or damaged as normal. The tatters of pale chakra that was his flesh trail behind the movements of his hand, turning intangible and passing through matter, thus not hampering movement. The number of stars around his head will increase to three that orbit his head in concentric circle.

While in form 2, Takuma is capable of creating "Simple" Animate creations. In addition, having access to this form grants him an additional 5% reduction to any weaponry or gear he purchases, as well as allowing him to add any "basic" weaponry to his sheet for free. Basic weaponry is defined as a normal, unenhanced piece of gear, such as a standard sword or throwing weapon.
Form 3: Advanced Animate CreationShow
In this, the third form of the Toukougenma, Takuma's appearance truly begins to become alien and strange in nature. His skin and hair will both turn stark white now, flowing with powerful chakra. The dark black chakra in his chest will stretch down into his groin and hips, and the specks within this area will grow further in number, appearing less like a night sky and more like deep space itself. The tatters of flesh that peeled from his fingertips will peel back further, going back to his wrists, elongating the intangible chakra bandages and revealing more of his 'astral self' as his entire hands are now made up of the black and white speckled chakra of the Toukougenma. As he opens his mouth to speak, more of this chakra can be seen congregating within his mouth in small amounts, as if the power is ready to burst out of him. The number of stars around his head will increase to six, all orbiting in separate concentric circles.

While in form 3, Takuma is capable of creating "Advanced" Animate creations. In addition, having access to this form grants him an additional 5% reduction to any weaponry or gear he purchases.
Form 4: HomunculiShow
In this form, the most powerful of the genma's forms, Takuma's appearance give him an image that can only be described as a cosmic god. His entire body, including his hair and the gems embedded in his body, will turn stark white with chakra. The exception of this is front of his torso from the chest to the hips, which will turn a deep, dark black with white specks of chakra throughout. Within this area, a roiling nebula of colors will shift and shape itself into various forms, the contrast of colors giving the illusion that Takuma's torso is hollow, with space itself taking shape within him. As he opens his mouth, the genma's chakra will completely obscure the inside of his mouth, and this 'space'-like chakra will ooze out of his mouth as he speaks in a gaseous form, as if he is breathing the stars themselves in and out of himself. From the elbow down, the flesh coating his arms will harmlessly split and fray backwards into bandages of intangible white chakra that trails his movements. In there place, Takuma's actual hands will appear as if they are made of his chakra; Dark black with white speckles of chakra throughout, appearing almost transparent. This makes them appear to be extensions of his astral self, though they function as normal and can be damaged as normal. Finally, around his head, over a dozen 'stars' of white chakra will orbit in concentric circles, creating a cosmic halo of sorts.

While in form 4, Takuma is capable of creating "Homunculi". In addition, having access to this form grants him an additional 5% reduction to any weaponry or gear he purchases, as well as allowing him to add basic puppet frames to his sheet for free. A basic puppet frame is simply a puppet frame with no weapons or enhancements added to it.
Third Ability: Bunsekigan "All Things Begin with Understanding"

Granted to him by the Toukougenma herself, Takuma's galaxy eyes bear within them a powerful Doujutsu known as the Bunsekigan (Analyzing Eye). This allows Takuma to observe and analyze anything within his sight to understand exactly what it's matter is made up of, down to the atom, and how exactly those atoms come together to make up the matter in question. The Bunsekigan does this by breaking the matter in question down piece by piece, creating what is essentially a mental blueprint within Takuma's mind, detailing the specifications of what he's looking at down to the smallest particle and how it all fits together. With this knowledge in mind, Takuma is then capable of using Toukoujutsu to replicate the item in question, down to the atom, with exactly the same combination and merging of those atoms as the original, creating matter that in indiscernable from the original unless the chakra within the matter is sensed. This allows him to recreate everything from your run of the mill sword or kunai, to complex chemical compounds such as toxins, acids, and even human bodies.

Ninjutsu
Kugutsu:
[Puppetry] is an old, tradition-bound style with some variation found within each Hidden Village. Chakra Strings are the progenitor style of Puppetry and is limited to Sunagakure ninjutsu only, due to the secret techniques. Chakra String users learns to utilize the tenketsu on their fingers to create strings of chakra, which can be used to control a multitude of things. Most users focus primarily on the use of puppets, wooden, or partially wooden contraptions. Puppeteers as they are called, rely on high control.
Ninjutsu: Advanced Channeling:
This user has superb chakra control, and has learned to perform jutsu by channeling, without the use of hand seals. The user can channel any Ninjutsu that is designed to be channeled, and there are no specified parameters in which a jutsu must fall to be channeled by this method.
Fuuton Affinity:
Fuuton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Fuuton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Fuuton affinity. Fuuton has an cutting effect.
Passive (Cutting)Show
Fuuton has a natural cutting property to it, that exists in all jutsu unless otherwise stated. This gives fuuton a unique opportunity to strike with additional power, and to act as a offensive defense. Regardless of their purpose fuuton jutsu passively cut with no distinct pattern at 1/2 the strength of the technique rounded down unless otherwise stated. This means if someone punched a 20 strength fuuton wall, they would get cuts on their hand applied with 10 strength. This also means that fuuton jutsu specifically designated to cut things can create devastating wound by essentially striking twice.

This user is able to utilize Storage Fuuinjutsu and Force Fuuinjutsu, making it possible for them to utilize any jutsu with the Storage or Force Classification. Storage Fuuinjutsu can be used to store supplies, weapons, armor, or anything in between. Force Fuuinjutsu are used to release, counteract, and capture energy.

This user is able to utilize Charge & Augment Fuuinjutsu, making it possible for them to utilize any jutsu with the Charge & Augment Classification. Charge Fuuinjutsu are used to create jutsu-like effects using seals. Augment Fuuinjutsu are used to enhance or limit the power of whatever they are placed on.

This concentration allows for the user to user chakra to affect the biological processes of a living creature. This includes modifying, speeding up, or slowing down the biological processes. Iijutsu is known for it's advanced nature and requires precise chakra control to work effectively. It can be differentiate from normal techniques by the faint light green colour of the chakra used in Iijutsu techniques.

Deft Hands:
The fundamental skill of [Deft Hands] indicates the user’s proficiency with using their hands in very specific and complex movements, like sleight of hand and targeting very small and specific points on an opponent’s body. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu in various ways.
Perception:
The fundamental skill of [Perception] describes the user’s practiced methods of more keenly focussing their senses for a short time. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.
Acrobatics:
The fundamental skill of [Acrobatics] includes the user’s ability to contort their body into unfamiliar positions in order to avoid attacks, as well as the user’s ability to fall safely and perform Ukemi and other feats of gymnastics. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.
Close Quarters Combat:
The fundamental skill of [Close Quarters Combat] indicates the user's proficiency to efficiently utilize martial arts and advanced combat moves involving the body, for example but not limited to, advanced kicks, grapples, advanced punches, etc.
Medicine:
The fundamental skill of [Medicine] describes the user’s mental and physical ability to perform traditional and mainstream medicinal practices. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.
Weapons Crafting:
With large amounts of experience in the forge and with creation, this individual is able to craft and create most types of weapons and armor. While this typically doesn’t grant the individual himself any additional powers, it allows him to make more powerful gear for himself and shinobi than what can typically be found. However, those with such familiarity with weapons and armor are often skilled at noticing the strengths and weaknesses of weapons they face, and allow them to more easily exploit them.

The user will do a series of hand seals then thrust one of their hands forward, causing large crystal spikes 2ft in length to then burst from the ground in varying directions at a speed and strength equal to [Control], traveling to a distance of up to 10 meters.

D – Ranked Ninjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals then throw their hands upwards. A crystal wall will break through the ground immediately in front of them, 5m in width and 3m in height, rising at a speed of [Control] with a strength of [Control].

Shouton • Cosmic Embrace
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Takuma will perform a series of hand seals before placing his hand on a target, usually either himself or one of his puppets. In doing so, dark blue crystals will grow out from his body and enshroud the target touched, encasing them in a suit of crystalline armor. This armor is non restrictive, allowing for full range of motion without inhibiting movement options. In addition, this armor is lined with 2 inch spike protrusions of crystal, capable of piercing flesh if an enemy gets too close. The strength of this armor and the speed with which is manifests are equal to Takuma's [Control].

D-Rank Ninjutsu
Much like the original Transformation Jutsu, the puppeteer does the needed handseals and causes their puppet to take on the appearance of their own body and their own body into the appearance of their puppet. By consistently emitting chakra throughout their body, the user is able to keep their appearance adjusted at the cost of their Chakra Pool draining over time. As this technique is quite strenuous to uphold, experienced shinobi may see more clearly through this delusive disguise. This technique lasts for a number of posts equal to that of the user's Chakra Pool.

After completing the necessary handseals, the user is able to quickly substitute his/her body with one of their puppets. This substitution allows the object to take the force of the attack that was meant for the user, additionally allowing the user to create distance between him/her and the opponent. By releasing less chakra into his chakra strings, the user is effectively able to 'turn off' some of his chakra strings, giving them no ability to pull or retract anything. In order to accommodate this, the strings will lengthen and shorten so they don't react to anything that they are attached to. The strings can be reactivated by putting a bit of chakra into them, letting the user use them again. This can also be used to attach wires to someone, and then deactivate the wires so they aren't able to feel the wires at all until they are needed. The strings can still be removed as if they were on, though.

The Puppetry Technique is a Ninjutsu technique used by puppeteers. By releasing chakra from their tenketsu, the puppeteer is able to release chakra strings from their finger. While an inanimate object is being controlled, it’s treated as if it has a speed equal to the puppeteer’s control.

By writing out the needed fuuinjutsu on a scroll, the user is able to seal puppets into scrolls. Unlike other storage fuuin, this is able to store much more. However, whenever the puppet is removed, the user is only able to connect their chakra strings to the puppet and are unable to use any non-puppetry jutsu for the rest of the post. Puppets can't be sealed this way in combat.

Takuma will perform a series of hand seals before channeling the power of the Toukougenma, using it's ability to create a rod of pure silver that is embedded in the ground. This rod is only about an inch in diameter, but can stretch up to 5 meters into the air, and spreads out over a 5 meter area underground. The rod is created with [Control] speed and strength, and any lightning techniques that come within 15 meters of this rod are drawn towards it. If the lightning's strength is less than the strength of the rod, the lightning technique will be pulled into the rod completely and harmlessly dispersed into the ground, whereas if the lightning exceeds the rod's strength by less than 5 it's course will still be altered as it gets partially pulled towards the rod. Any lightning techniques that exceed the strength of this rod by 5 or more are unaffected by it's pull. A blow that exceeds the strength of the rod will destroy it and render it's effect useless.

Performing a series of hand seals, Takuma will funnel the power of the Toukougenma into the air, hanging over a 15 meter diameter area. This chakra will rapidly take shape as a mass of water up to 15x15x15 meters in size, which will rain down on the target location. The water forms with [Control] speed, and any fire techniques that exist or pass through this 15 meter diameter area have their strength and speed reduced by [Control]. The water is also completely drinkable and fresh, and does not conduct electricity due to it's purity.

The matter takes form with [control] speed and strength, making an effective barrier if necessary, or it can be used as a source for transmutations.

Takuma will gather the power of the Toukougenma's chakra into his finger tip before snapping his fingers, causing a small bolt of electriticy to form anywhere within 15 meters of his person at a speed and strength equal to his [Control]. Upon formation, the bolt is uncontrollable and will simply seek the quickest route to the ground. However, should any form of conductive material exist within range of the bolt, such as Silver or Copper, the bolt will seek that conducter with unerring accuracy, sending an electric jolt into the conductor and anything connected to it. This will cause electric burns and numbness / paralysis within any enemies touching the conductor.

Takuma will perform a series of hand seals, focusing the power of the Toukougenma into his hand. When completed, this chakra will take the form of a hand held metallic canister with a pin release. By pulling the pin and activating the device, the next kinetic impact against the canister will cause it to burst open, releasing a colorless, flammable methane gas into the air. The cloud of gas can be detected by it's 'rotten egg' smell and the audible 'hiss' of the canister as the gas releases from the canister. This condensed gas will expand out to 30 meters in any direction from the point of impact at a speed equal to Takuma's [Control] and remain in place for two posts before dissipating, unless blown away by other outside sources. When ignited, the entire cloud of gas will erupt into explosive flames, causing burning damage equal to the strength of the source flame throughout it's area of effect in addition to explosive force. This consumes the cloud of gas.

Takuma will perform a series of hand seals, focusing the power of the Toukougenma into one of his hands. Once done, this chakra will shape itself into a hand held launching device. This device, made of steel, has a trigger mechanism attached to a pneumatic hammer that pulls back and jerks forward when the trigger is pulled, launching balls of lead with a 12mm diameter forward through a 13 centimeter long metallic barrel at a strength and speed equal to Takuma's [Control] stat whenever the trigger is pulled. Upon creation, the Pneumatic Launcher is loaded with six lead balls stored in a revolving chamber, and once empty the weapon must be reloaded manually using additional balls of lead.

Takuma will perform a series of hand seals, focusing on a particular assortment of matter previously or currently being analyzed with his Bunsekigan. He will then form his chakra into an exact replica of the matter in question, with the same density, composition, shape and size as the original. With this level of replication, Takuma can only replicate a single, inorganic object with a maximum size of 2x2x2 meters. This replication takes shape within 20 meters of Takuma at a speed and with strength equal to Takuma's [Control].

Prerequisite: Fuuton Affinity
Performing a series of hand seals, Takuma will hold his hand up above him, funneling the Toukougenma's chakra out of his palm and into the air above him. In doing so, he will create a cloud of various weaponized projectiles, such as Kunai, Shuriken, Makibishi and so on, up to 10x10x10 meters in diameter. This cloud will then be pushed forward by a powerful gust of wind towards a designated area within 15 meters of Takuma with [Control] Strength, moving at [Control speed, and bombard anything within this range mercilessly. While typically made of some kind of metal, this barrage of weapons could be made of almost any form of solid matter.

Takuma was born to Matsu and Shino Kouseki on a quiet desert night, the oldest of two children. His younger sister, Koko, was born only two years after him, and so the two have spent a good deal of their lives together. The young Kouseki boy had always had a fascination with toy figures, finding the articulation of the various parts so interesting that he would take them apart and put them back together, just to see exactly how each part worked individually. As a member of one of the oldest and most prominent clans of Sunagakure, it was only natural that a career in the Shinobi Military was considered by Takuma. And when he saw his father's puppet for the first time, a large serpentine beast, he was sold; he too would become a shinobi and learn the ways of puppetry, putting together and operating his own toy figures for the benefit of the village.

The decision to join the academy also put him on the fast track for completing the infamous 'Coming of Age' Ceremony of the Kouseki clan, and so he was sent into a mine commonly used by the Kouseki to retrieve their minerals and gemstones to look for one that called to him. He went down deep into this shaft, not finding any stone that truly called to him. Before he knew it, the sun had risen and set, and the cavern was so dark one could barely see. But then, as he lit a lantern in the darkness, he looked ahead and saw a stone unlike any he had seen before. For a moment, he thought he was looking up at the night sky, full of swirling stars. But as he walked closer, he realized it was a stone; Blue Goldstone, to be precise. He had found the stone that called to him, and took great joy in chiseling a nice chunk of the stone out of the walls of the mine.

As he advanced through the academy, learning the ways of the shinobi, he found that while his physical skills were sorely lacking, he excelled far and beyond even graduated genin in the ways of chakra manipulation. Between his father's urgings and the boy's own aptitude, Takuma was given his first taste of the Kugutsu style by one of his mentors, and the shear joy he felt by manipulating each and every part of the training puppet reinforced his choice to become a shinobi. It was like breathing life into the lifeless. But if he were to truly become a puppeteer, he'd have to build his own puppet from scratch. So as he neared the date of his graduation, he gathered all sorts of spare parts and gizmos from his father's collection and began his work, carefully piecing together bits and baubles that even Matsu had forgotten he even owned. It had taken weeks, but by the time Takuma was finished, he presented his father with Tokage; the boy's very own puppet.

Finally, the day before his graduation from the academy, he somehow found the time to take the last of the Blue Goldstone he had left from the mines and slowly but surely carve it into a perfect circle. The way it was cut, made the whole gem appear as if it were a spiral galaxy, the very same one might see in the night sky. As the specimen was more than adequate, the Galaxy Goldstone was placed in his forehead with a painless graft, so that the next day he went to the academy with his coming of age complete and his rank of Genin attained. But as fate would have it, this was far from the most interesting thing to happen to him in his genin years...

A few months after his gradutation, the boy was brought to see one of Sunagakure's councilmembers; Mikado, Akihito. The man was responsible for overseeing the spirit users of the village, and it was Takuma's time to face his destiny, for he was to serve as a host to one of Sunagakure's most powerful spirits... Janesisu no Toukougenma, the Heaven Genma. Although fear set in at first, the realization of what he could do for the village with this power was more than enough motivation for him to agree, and so that very night he was taken to a secret chamber deep under the village. There, a ritual was conducted, and the symbol of his sealing was forever tattooed into his upper back. The symbol of Janesisu's imprisonment. The young Takuma was now a Jinchuuriki.

The coming trials would push the boy to his limits and beyond, but he will have to bear down and resolve himself to overcome the demon within him, so that he might use it's power for the glory of Sunagakure.

Appearance:
  • Face/head: Long white hair cascades down Makoto's back and shoulders, reaching mid back at it's longest length. Her green eyes have been sharpened by years of service, and her facial features are soft in contrast to her hardened gaze.
  • Body: Makoto's figure is thin and lithe, with toned muscle throughout her form. Her pale skin is largely unmarred, with exception of the scarring around her prosthetics.
  • Notable Features:The most obvious features of Makoto's body are her prosthetic body parts. Her left arm starting at the shoulder is prostethic, as is her left leg from the mid thigh down, and her right arm from the elbow down. Additionally, though far less obvious, her right eye is made of glass, but functions as a normal eye.
Clothing: Makoto typically wears a large tan cloak over most of her body, obscuring much of her body with the exception of her face. Underneath this however, the woman wears what amounts to a one piece suit. The suit comes up and over her shoulders, ties around the waist and covers most of her body, leaving her hips and a few other bits of skin exposed. She's also known for her signature "Fox Mask" that she uses to obscure her identity when operating as a Genma Handler. She also has a black ninja pouch on her right hip.

  • General: Makoto is very blunt and harsh in her words. Hardened by events that have left her body damaged beyond recognition, she sees little sense in suger coating what she says or how she says it. This doesn't always mean that she's a mean person; she's just as blunt with good things as she is with bad. Rather, she simply lack subtlety in the way she handles social encounters, seeing such subtleties as a waste of time.
    Her duties are at the forefront of her mind at all times, having devoted any and all of her remaining time to the village that saved her quality of life. Without her prothetics, her life would have been over, but because of them she's able to continue her life of service, and for that reason her dedication to her tasks goes beyond most. Her leisure time is spent honing her skills, though she does rarely indulge herself by reading "dirty" books.

After preforming the necessary hand seals the user will then place his palm against a target. If the target is imbued with the power of a spirit their hand will visibly flare up with Maroon chakra.

After performing a set of hand seals, the user focuses chakra towards their hand. A chain made of Maroon chakra will shoot from their palm towards the target at [Control] speed, up to 20 meters away. If it hits a spirit, a jinchuuriki, tsukimogami, or other such being, the chain will wrap around them, placing their arms, if they have any, to their side, stopping them from performing hand seals. These chains cling to the chakra of the Spirit itself, and are unable to be broken through physical means. If the target has a related Mastery stat or a Spirit has a strength stat higher than 10, they are able to break the binding. If the chains are able to stay on their target, they will drain away -1 Mastery from hosts or -1 Strength from Spirits until broken free of.

After performing the needed hand seals, the user focuses chakra to their eyes, causing the Maroon chakra to flare up around their eyes. This works similar to a doujutsu, but with no physical change to the eye itself, allowing the user to see the chakra of spirits and spirit related objects/people as an aura of Maroon. While useful for a quick glance, it can be used up to [Chakra Pool]/5 posts, before needing to be refreshed.

After performing the needed hand seals and focusing chakra into their hand, the user places their hand on the head of a Spirit host, or on the object containing a spirit. This allows them to speak directly to the spirit in a telepathic link.

As a result, those that are stopped by the barrier are unable to make their way through unless they can break it. Those untainted by spirits are able to pass through the barrier at their leisure. This barrier lasts for 4 posts.

*[Zantou • Winter Solstice]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The basic Stance of Zantou, the practitioner holds one blade forward, parallel to the ground, and holds the other high over the head, pointing toward the opponent. The low blade grants the practitioner the ability to quickly defend against an opponent's attack while the blade raised overhead allows the practitioner to either quickly attack or counterattack with a powerful downward swing or thrust. This pairing of defense and offense serves as one of the cores of Zantou's swordsmanship. Drawing in a deep breath, the practitioner also gathers up their energy and releases a kiai. This Stance allows the practitioner to ignore non-critical distractions and minor environmental factors, such as small amounts of excess heat, small amounts of excess cold, small amounts of fatigue, and even small amounts of pain, allowing them to focus entirely on their opponents' movements and the tasks at hand. While in this Stance, the practitioner is conferred with a +2 increase to Strength and +1 increase to Will Power but suffers a -2 penalty to Chakra Pool and -1 penalty to Control. The practitioner may end this Stance whenever they so wish.

After practicing for a long amount of time with the concept of using both of their hands with equal skill, the user has developed a level of ambidexterity that allows them to utilize both hands equally and as effectively without any penalty. This extends to other methods of combat or simple everyday life as well.

D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The physical training and mental focus encouraged by Zantou allows for the practitioner to adapt quickly and take advantage of opportunities to attack when they present themselves in combat. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to alter the direction of their blade mid-cut. This can be used to work around a block, or simply to act as a powerful feint and strike all in the same motion without stopping. This Discipline can make a Zantou practitioner’s movements difficult to predict in a fight.

D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Ambidexterity].
The practitioner of Zantou must be capable of both defending and attacking within the same movement. This Discipline represents the practitioner's training and capacity to block an attack with one sword while simultaneously attacking with the other while wielding two or more weapons, making it more difficult for opponents to adequately block or counter the practitioner's attacks.

D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Ambidexterity].
Complete control of the weapons one is wielding is a necessity to ensure a practitioner of Zantou is proficient in the style. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to switch either one of their swords (or both, if they wish) from standard grip to reverse grip reflexively, the movements to do so firmly trained into their muscle memory. This allows the Zantou practitioner to ensure that the cutting edges of their blades are always facing the opponent whenever they want them to be. This Discipline can make a Zantou practitioner’s movements difficult to predict in a fight.

D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter River Flows].
While slashing an opponent, the practitioner twists their wrist while simultaneously channeling the momentum of the first attack into another slash in a different direction, allowing the practitioner to attack another area of the opponent's body with the same sequence of movements.

D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter River Flows].
This technique can be performed as a standalone technique, often supplemented by feinting a slash, or can be linked to another attack. The practitioner twists their wrist and channels their momentum into a downward thrust, lodging their blade into the opponent and potentially pinning them to the ground or another surface. The opponent can force the practitioner away if their Strength stat is higher than the practitioner's Strength stat, but doing so hastily can cause additional damage as the blade continues to expand the wound even further. Conversely, the practitioner can opt to twist the blade in the wound and pull it out, causing further damage to the opponent and possibly severing important tendons or veins.

D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Zantou harnesses the inner strength of its warrior to cause the opponent to falter. Intentionally clashing with the opponent's weapon at a weak point, the practitioner immediately torques the muscles in their arm to violently push and twist the weapon in a single direction. An opponent affected by this technique must have a Strength higher than the practitioner's Strength to avoid losing their grip on their weapon or being disarmed entirely. The practitioner can immediately follow up on this opening with a slash with the other weapon if they so wish.

C-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter Solstice].
Building upon its parent technique, this Stance further builds upon further sharpening and refining the practitioner's capacity to focus on the opponent and the task at hand. The practitioner holds one blade forward, parallel to the ground, and holds the other high over the head, pointing toward the opponent. The low blade grants the practitioner the ability to quickly defend against an opponent's attack while the blade raised overhead allows the practitioner to either quickly attack or counterattack with a powerful downward swing or thrust. This pairing of defense and offense serves as one of the cores of Zantou's swordsmanship. Drawing in a deep breath, the practitioner also gathers up their energy and releases a kiai. While in this Stance, the practitioner can more easily ignore non-critical distractions, focusing solely on the opponent(s). They also are able to ignore moderate heat, moderate cold, moderate fatigue, and even a moderate amount of pain. They can read the opponents' muscle contractions and body positioning more accurately in this stance, and they are able to read both the direction and the type of attack that is imminent. The opponent can still effectively mask their movements if they have a movement-concealing Stealth technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. While in this Stance, the practitioner is conferred with a +3 increase to Strength and Will Power but suffers a -3 penalty to Chakra Pool and Control. The practitioner may end this Stance whenever they so wish.

History Makoto's life up until her chuunin years was harsh, but largely uneventful, outside of the fact that she was an orphan who saw Shinobi Service as a means of bettering her life. In fact, given that she became a chuunin at the young age of 13, her life had gone quite well up until that point. She had her own apartment, her own friends... her own life. But then, at a prison built for spirits in the middle of the desert, a litany of spirits broke free and began tearing their way through Wind Country. Makoto was one of the many shinobi deployed to stop the spirits, but she never could have expected what would happen to her...

A creature, six armed with various weapons, got ahold of Makoto while she was aiding another shinobi... The carnage it visited on her in that instant was beyond description. It had torn through her body, leaving her with little remaining flesh and desecrating the torn flesh to the point that any chance of saving it was nill. As the crazed entity was about to deliver a lethal blow, the last thing Makoto saw was a series of maroon chains firing off from another shinobi's hands, restraining the entity.

When she awoke, after who knows how long, she found that she was in a hospital back in Sunagakure. She got her bearings as quickly as she could, and wept as she realized the state of her body... Her life was ruined. All she had left was a nub for a right arm and her right leg. She was even missing one of her eyes. But, after an intense amount of healing, an option for prosthesis was given to her. A chance to continue her life in service, to regain her movement and retake her life after the grueling incident.

She accepted, and she was quickly outfitted with top of the line prosthetic limbs. They even got her a working eye, it was a miracle how far Suna's prothetics had advanced. Her first move after regaining control of her body was to learn the very art that had saved her life from that awful spirit; Shizumeru. And, such an interest put her in a position to be placed as a Genma Handler, to watch over the new jinchuuriki of Sunagakure. And she would serve faithfully, as the village had given her her life back... She owed them more than she could ever repay.
