Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Junpei has long red hair that he often keeps pulled up and a bit wild, as if spiked out to the side. His skin tans easily and quickly which is the normal for his clan, though pales some when he spends too much time indoors studying his theories. His eyes are a deep crimson red, instead of whites of his eyes, they are black.
  • Body: Taking a particular pride in his appearance, Jun presents a lean and muscular build that he has worked very hard on. He has very few scars, if any, and at this time has no tattoos even due to the pride he takes in his appearance. (He trusts no one to not mess up when working on him)
  • Notable Features: Junpei has what appear to be four rings tattooed on his forearms from his wrist up to his elbow (Like This), and a seal on his chest not unlike a tattoo (Like This).
Clothing/Accessories: Junpei typically wear's dark pants and black boots. In lieu of a shirt he wears a long camouflage style hooded coat that he often leaves completely open on the hotter days, but is able to zip up if it cools off. He also wears a necklace that almost looks like it's made of some creature's sharpened teeth or something similar. (See image)
Personality:
  • General: Junpei is very protective of those around in, in particular of his sister. In general he can be very kind and even charismatic when dealing with others. However he doesn't have a whole lot of patience for ignorance and bullies and can turn into a smartass pretty quickly. He likes making his share of quips either to make others crack a smile or make them feel awkward, depending on the situation at hand.
  • Hopes/Dreams: Junpei doesn't really have hopes and dreams so much as he has a single goal in mind, to protect his sister and keep her safe.
  • Fears: Above all Jun fears the loss of his sister.
  • Combat Mentality: Junpei is primarily a caster type, focusing primarily on Ninjutsu but also enjoys dabbling in Genjutsu. He isn't incapable of dabbling into Taijutsu but only resorts to it as a last ditch effort to protect himself or others. He typically keeps his tactics to Nin or Gen overall.

History Hizashi Junpei is the oldest of two, and has always been protective of his little sister. The pair have been practically inseparable since she was born, to the point that Jun even delayed his entry into the academy due to his desire not to "abandon" his sister. Eventually he did go, his entry wasn't delayed more than a year and homeschooling from his parents helped bridge any gaps, but it took extra convincing on the part of his parents and even some pushing on her part. He wound up being a little older than his peers as a result, but at first that wasn't too big of a deal. Any teasing was put down with his usual sarcastic remarks or he'd just find things to return the ridicule with, and so he took it all pretty well in stride.

He graduated around the middle of his class and wound up assigned to a mentor about the same age as him. His first mentor was incredibly uncomfortable with this, and took a rough approach to the Genin's training as a result. The ridicule that Jun faced in this case was completely different than the teasing he had faced in the Academy. It was something more akin to daily shame and put downs, something he found he couldn't bear with as much grace and it showed in his daily demeanor. He had more and more trouble on his missions, and even started becoming more sullen and angry in his home life. It didn't take long for other superiors and his family to notice the way it was affecting him. Though it wasn't the boy himself who put in the request, it was one of his parents, he was eventually assigned a new mentor, one who wouldn't be so bothered by Jun's age as it related to his rank.

Jun began to thrive under his new mentor, and soon began to grow in power and aptitude quickly. He now looks forward to training near daily, as well as spending time with his sister again. His mind is once more focused on his work and his studies and he is back on task.

Hizashi:
Kaenton [Heat Element]

By fusing together Katon [Fire Element] and Fuuton [Wind Element], members of the Hizashi clan are able to create and use Kaenton [Heat Element].
Passive (Heating)Show
Kaenton has to ability to heat anything, increasing its temperature, causing burns, and introducing people to heat strokes, dehydration, and even possibly death. While Hizashi are naturally resistant to increased temperature, even they can succumb to the excessive heat of their techniques. The heat increase, and the area they can increase is determined by the rank of techniques, which means higher ranked techniques are able to create flashes of heat that can kill with ease.

Shishire no Shigenma
The Shigenma, commonly referred to as the Soul Genma, is a Genma sealed away and controlled by [Sunagakure no Sato]. The Shigenma is named as such due to it’s ability to manipulate the souls of others. The Shigenma has Four Forms and with the mastery of each comes access to new soul based abilities. The wide breadth of the Shigenma’s powers means a single host rarely touches on everything, and while some may focus on the resurrecting of lost souls, others will focus on the manipulation of souls currently on this plane. The Shigenma is compatible with only those who have a Katon affinity.
Influences: Shishire’s deathly appearance is apt for it’s skills, and the beast shares these features with its host. While it will often vary, the hosts of the soul genma usually look to be somewhere between the plane of the living and the dead, with features that would indicate poor health...or worse.

Personality: The Shigenma is a very snooty, self-important being. It views itself as much better than everything else, and is quite hypercritical of the host and anybody with whom it interacts. The Shigenma has a tendency to be rather shallow, placing great importance on things such as appearances and reputations. When it finds something that it truly dislikes, it will go to great lengths to hurt it in any way possible, just out of spite; Shigenma holds grudges for quite a long time. Also, when the Shigenma comes across something that it is confident it is superior to, it will be playfully sadistic and sinister for the sake of its own amusement.

Transformations: Like most of the genma, Shishire does not always turn his hosts into replicas of himself, and how they go through the transformations varies from host to host. However, each stage has the same boosts:

Base Stage (0 Mastery):
  • Appearance: The Host has a fuuinjutsu seal on their chest, four rings (Like This) from wrist to elbow on each arm, and black schlera of the eyes.
  • Skill(s): In Base Stage the Host is able to summon non-humanoid souls for various tasks and functions. They may give them orders or force them to do their bidding through the use of Shijutsu. These souls range from formless wisps small enough to fit in the palm of one's hand to the size of horses. Each serve specific single functions based on the jutsu used to summon them such as leading the user to a specific target or down a specific path, or sneaking into a nearby location for intel or items. The jutsu used must specify the form and use as well as the duration.
  • Unlocked: When Angels Fall, Part One
Stage 1 (4 Mastery):
  • Appearance: Upon entering this stage wings of black chakra form from their back. When in this stage or any beyond, or using Shijutsu, the host's chakra is an inky black. The first ring on each forearm breaks open into a wispy form (Like This).
  • Skill(s): In Stage 1 the Host is able to read souls to gain a true understanding of who they are and who they were. This means that whether living or dead the user may essentially "read" the soul in the way a telepath "reads" a mind. The Platonic Soul is said to be separated into three parts, Reason, Spirit, and Desire. At this stage the user may read the soul of either the Living or the Dead to find out the content of any of these three parts using the appropriate jutsu. This could mean something that might look like Genjutsu in asking "What is it you most desire?" and getting a true answer, but in actually it is not Genjutsu but Shijutsu (This is but one example). After all, reading the soul isn't like reading the mind after all, you can't just open it like a book and read the pages, it must be asked. (Plato's Theory of Soul)

Stage 2 (14 Mastery):
  • Appearance: The second ring on each forearm breaks open into a wispy form (Like This).
  • Skill(s): In Stage 2, the Host may now raise the souls of the dead and manipulate them as they see fit. In raising the souls of the dead, the user may force them into corpses in order to create zombies if using the appropriate jutsu (though of course they cannot create life from these zombies). In addition they may raise souls for the sake of communication or interrogation, and even put addition jutsu on them to force them to tell the truth using Shijutsu rather than the usual methods.

Stage 2 Ascended (28 Mastery):
  • Appearance: The second ring on either forearm fades into nothingness, making it seem as if that portion of the arm is missing entirely and there is nothing connecting one section of the arm to the next.
  • Skill(s): The host may move directly into this Stage from the Base Stage without having to move through the previous Stages first. Additionally the host may now use skills from Form 1, and 2 while in Base Stage.
  • Unlocked: Not Yet Unlocked.
Stage 3 (30 Mastery):
  • Appearance: Upon entering this stage black horns form from the forehead, curving back before twisting and tapering into an end. The third ring on each forearm breaks open into a wispy form (Like This).
  • Skill(s): In Stage 3, the Host may now manipulate the souls of the living as they see fit. They may target a living individual with Shijutsu to cause a numbing or paralytic effect across limbs and parts of their body. They may also use Shijutsu to aid in interrogations and force their target to tell the truth by "touching" their soul as well. They may also employ Shijutsu in combination with Iijutsu to heal Soul Damage (or cause it more acutely, in line with Iijutsu rules). At its highest level they may even exert complete dominion over a living soul, possessing and controlling them against their will. (Results determined via stat battle, as detailed in the specific jutsu)

Stage 4 (40 Mastery):
  • Appearance: The fourth ring on each forearm breaks open into a wispy form (Like This).
  • Skill(s): In Stage 4, the Host is now able to resurrect souls and reanimate the dead exerting complete control over their bodies and minds as they see fit. The reanimated corpses retain all of their stats, abilities, and jutsu that they had in life and are compelled to obey the host's every order (Edo Tensai). They may only be released from the Host's will, if the Host wills it. Accumulating bodies follows companion and body snatching rules as they are written. In addition, this level of reanimation can only be utilized with the host soul's original body.

Stage 4 Ascended (50 Mastery):
  • Appearance: The fourth ring on either forearm fades into nothingness, making it seem as if that portion of the arm is missing entirely and there is nothing connecting one section of the arm to the next.
  • Skill(s): The host may move directly into this Stage from the Base Stage without having to move through the previous Stages first. Additionally the host may now use skills from Form 1, 2, 3 and 4 while in Base Stage.

Third Ability
The Living Soul GemShow
As a Host of Shishire, Junpei may now tap into the souls of those that they control to use their skills and abilities to their own ends. Specifically the user may steal and seal a soul into a tattoo on their back. In doing so this allows them to access any abilities, elements, or jutsu the stolen soul had access to. This can only be done a set amount of times, every soul stolen/sealed takes a companion slot. Also this has a side effect, the user will have a permanent presence in their mind from the sealed soul. As a note, the user only has access to one Sealed Soul at a time, can only seal a maximum of four at a time in the tattoos on their back, and there must be a post of break between accessing or switching souls. This post increases by one for every soul they have accessed during this thread. While accessing this soul, the soul may appear as an ethereal visage beside them as if making the same motions and actions as they are making, moving as they move. This visage may be targeted by tenkujutsu.

Katon:
Katon Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Katon affinity. Katon has a passive ignition effect.
Passive (Ignition)Show
Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own.

Additionally, the strength of burns on organic material from katon jutsu is determined by the strength stat of the individual jutsu.

Passive (Cutting)Show
Fuuton has a natural cutting property to it, that exists in all jutsu unless otherwise stated. This gives fuuton a unique opportunity to strike with additional power, and to act as a offensive defense. Regardless of their purpose fuuton jutsu passively cut with no distinct pattern at 1/2 the strength of the technique rounded down unless otherwise stated. This means if someone punched a 20 strength fuuton wall, they would get cuts on their hand applied with 10 strength. This also means that fuuton jutsu specifically designated to cut things can create devastating wound by essentially striking twice.

Deft Hands:
The fundamental skill of [Deft Hands] indicates the user’s proficiency with using their hands in very specific and complex movements, like sleight of hand and targeting very small and specific points on an opponent’s body. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu in various ways.

A pure channeling jutsu, the Hizashi is able to channel Kaenton chakra to parts of their body, heating them up by up to 20 degrees Celsius. This jutsu has no range and can only warm up the user's body, allowing for first degree burns on contact, this jutsu lasting for the next five posts.

By performing a series of handseals, the clan member can increase the temperature of the air around them. This creates a 10 meter diameter area of heat centered on the clan member for the following seven posts. Anybody within the area will feel an intense heat that will usually cause them to perspire, feel thirst and in general make them uncomfortable.

After doing the needed hand seals, the user floods the weapon they're holding with Kaenton chakra, raising its temperature by up to 15 degrees Celsius, causing burns on sustained contact. This temperature remains for up to 5 posts or until cancelled by the user.

After channeling the user concentrates heat to their fists, causing them to heat up at which point they then punch the target, releasing the built up heat upon impact in an outwards burst causing first degree burns around the point of contact and also slightly heating up the same area.

After performing the necessary hand seals the user releases heat into a ten meter area around their body, heating up the area and thus causing the air to rise, knocking projectiles thrown with strength less than or equal to [Control] slightly off course.

After doing the needed hand seals, the user creates an identical copy of themselves formed of condensed heat, this copy having all of the user's own stats and being capable of utilizing any Kaenton techniques the user may know.

Prerequisite: ~Kaenton • Heat Aura
By performing a series of handseals, the clan member can increase the temperature of the air around them. This creates a 5 meter diameter area of intense heat centered on the clan member for the following five posts, causing great discomfort to those within. Additionally those aside from the user within the area will feel an intense heat that will drain 1 endurance per post for the next two posts. This area travels with the user at a speed of [Control]. If the user moves faster than [Control] speed, the area will follow behind at the speed with which it was cast.

Prerequisite: 5 Control
After doing the needed hand seals, the user places their hands outwards, with their palms out. As long as they keep their hands out in this way, they will channel Kaenton chakra outwards into a 5 meter radius around them, creating a Kaenton circulation system. Whenever ah flame or a Katon technique enters this area with strength less than the user's control, the user can deflect it. The flame/katon will always be dispersed along the edge of the radius until it reaches the opposite side of where it struck. This area lasts for up to 3 posts, or until it has deflected 3 attacks.

C-ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the needed hand seals, the user touches an object with their hand. The object must be a material that doesn't have an abnormally high melting point, must be inorganic and can only be a maximum of 1x1x1 meter large. If the object meets these criteria, the user can flood it with Kaenton chakra for a full post and heat it up. The heating up is done to such a point that the object actually melts into a hot pool and remains in that state for at least 3 posts, after which it begins to cool down at a normal rate (thus the rate at which it returns to normal depends on the temperature of the environment). This pool is extremely hot and capable of causing even fourth degree burns, but the user cannot control or mold it in any way and they will be damaged by it just like anybody else.

C-ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the proper hand seals, the user releases Kaenton into a 20 meter radius around them, causing heat to disperse in the air within that area. This heat will cause a minor increase of up to 5 degrees Celsius, but its real strength is in the way the hot air behaves. The behavior of the heated vs. cold hair causes a Mirage field where everything's appearance is slightly distorted, leaving them unable to properly gauge distances or the size of people and objects unless they have a perception technique of the appropriate rank, this technique lasting for the next seven posts.

The ball lights up the surrounding area in a 10 meter radius and requires Strength greater than [Control] to destroy. After performing the correct hand seals, the user runs their hands alongside a potential fuel, once they take their fingers off everything the ran their hand over will ignite, the flame burning at [Control] Strength. By channeling katon chakra into a metal weapon or blade, the user will cause it to grow hotter and cover the blade in flames. The imbued weapon will be able to carve through defenses of [Control] or less strength with ease.

Ochiba Style Taijutsu:
Ochiba is a weapon style originating from the fire country, one of the few weapon styles developed by Shinobi and not Samurai. Ochiba translate as “Dead Leaf” As it is a weapon style that focuses on the use of a Kunai which are similar in appearance to a leaf. The kunai is held in a reversed manner, the handle comes up by the thumb and the blade comes down by the bottom of the hand. This allows for short, yet quick strikes and parries. Though this style is developed to use a kunai it can be transposed to other short weapons such as ninjato & tanto, though not all techniques will be available.

Utilizing this manoeuvre, the user is able to quickly draw a kunai from its holster. This is done by placing their finger through the lip of the holder and into the ring of the pommel, flicking it up and out quickly, having the kunai in the user’s hand within an instant.

Appearance:
  • Face/head: Ayumi has long white hair she often keeps in in a single braid down one side of her head, with both sides of her head shaved and tattoos on either side of her head as well. As part of the tattoo on the right side of her head she has her clan symbol worked into it. Her eyes are an oddly piercing shade of white. She has a strangely strong jawline for someone born female, but also very full lips. Her eyes are always in shadow, an odd birthmark she was born with, though not a defect.
  • Body: Ayumi is fairly well built of muscle through the shoulders, arms, and abdomen. Her chest is less developed, lacking too many feminine details to the point that she can get away without wearing a bra most days without anyone really being able to notice. She has a handful of scars but nothing really all that notable.
  • Notable Features: Just her tattoos on her head, including her clan symbol on the right side.
Clothing: Ayumi typically wears simple lightly colored pants with tan boots and a no-sleeve top of a similar shade. Though she does have a dark cloak that pins at her shoulder for the colder times of day. Her Village symbol is typically tied around her left bicep.
Personality:
  • General: Ayumi is seen as a generally silent and tense individual, her physical countenance is typically seen as intimidating but the reality is that she's actually a fairly understanding and even nurturing individual. She allows others to see her as intimidating, and saves her true nature for only those who bother to get to know her, or who have the opportunity to. Of course the exception to this are children, who she simply can't help but be herself around.
  • Hopes/Dreams: Ayumi's dream is to support another into the position of Kazekage, to be the reason someone feels like they finally have the support and understanding they need to go as far as they can in their life as a shinobi.
  • Fears: Her fear greatest fear is to fail someone to the point where she cannot help them get back on their own two feet again. And also bees.
  • Combat Mentality:As a Dasu, Ayumi is the epitome of support but in more than one way. From within her partner, from behind them, whatever it takes to protect them in the best way she deems necessary. Regardless of where she is at on the field or in relation to her ward, her interest is protecting them.

This fusion is heavily dependent on their endurance. While fused, they take all damage that the host body takes, so if the host dies, there is a very high chance that the parasite will die. Due to the fusion, if one is affected by a genjutsu, the other is as well, as they both have interconnected chakra systems and bodies.

Fuuton has a natural cutting property to it, that exists in all jutsu unless otherwise stated. This gives fuuton a unique opportunity to strike with additional power, and to act as a offensive defense. Regardless of their purpose fuuton jutsu passively cut with no distinct pattern at 1/2 the strength of the technique rounded down unless otherwise stated. This means if someone punched a 20 strength fuuton wall, they would get cuts on their hand applied with 10 strength. This also means that fuuton jutsu specifically designated to cut things can create devastating wound by essentially striking twice.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will focus chakra into a rope, wire, or a similar object in their possession. After coiling around the target, the chakra will cause the object to harden to [Control] Strength. After 4 posts the chakra will run out and the bind will break.

This technique's true advantage is that the disguise is given physical substance. This means, for example, if they transform into something with claws, they will have claws that can physically be used. For the disguises 5 post duration, if it is damaged by a hit of more than [Control] Strength, the disguise "poofs" from existence. This includes collateral damage caused by striking an opponent that may occur to the disguise.

Using a dual-powered attack, the host grabs onto the target's arms, keeping them in position. As long as they are in that position, the parasite is able to punch and kick at the target almost freely, due to the target being captured. Someone with a higher strength than the host can easily break the hold, though.

A neutral stance taken by even entry level practitioners. This stance involves turning your body to be perpendicular to your opponent. One foot is rested directly in front of the other with just the toes in contact with the ground. A hand is held back while the other is forward, pointing up. This stance provides ease of dodging incoming blows by using the least amount of motion possible while still being ready to launch into an attack.

A kick meant to disrupt the opponent that can be launched from nearly any position. This kick is delivered quickly with +6 Speed but with -6 Strength and is aimed at any possible opening and extremely difficult to defend against, quickening the tempo the practitioner is keeping.

An often difficult attack to accomplish but good for setting up a string of further attacks. The user will sweep low, attempting to kick their target's feet from beneath them. Before they fall, a second kick will attempt to launch them airborne a number of meters equal to the difference in the practitioner's strength from their target.

History
Since a young age, Ayumi has known responsibility for others as a vital part of her life. Her parents passed away when she was only eight years old, both killed on mission as shinobi. The girl was already on her own path to shinobi, but her life suddenly took on a new goal, to keep her family together. Ayumi was the oldest with twin younger brothers who were two years younger than her and they were quickly placed in another family's care. The family was kind enough, but had children of their own. By time Ayumi graduated the academy at ten years old, she could already see signs of the family favoring their own children and a silent resentment building in her two brothers. The young Genin saved every dime she had from every mission, taking pride in family and in her work, planning to take care of her brothers to the best of her ability.

By the age of fourteen she achieved the rank of Chunin, and finally had enough money to get a place for herself and her brothers. It took a good deal of convincing with the family they had been staying with, and even an appeal to Clan Elders. Her status as a Chunin allowed her to do so as a 'trial basis' which quickly became permanent as she proved more than ready to care for her brothers. All three were in their own home now, with their own rooms, and Ayumi had effectively taken over as a parent to her brothers and raised them up with no favoritism for anyone else.

Though raising her brothers did come with a cost, she spent many years as a Chunin. She often had to sacrifice training time to help her brothers, to the point where both achieved Jounin by time she finally achieved Special Jounin at the age of twenty. With her brothers finally old enough to be on their own, she had to turn her nurturing personality on to other goals, her own goals. She almost wasn't sure what to do with it. She started to dedicate herself to the protection of others, and after a few years of it only recently found herself asked by Meiyo Souta himself to take on the task of helping and protecting the host to the Soul Genma. Though she had no Tenkujutsu at the time, she was assured the jutsu wasn't the point, but her nature and the boy's need.
