Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Emi's black hair is usually kept in a long pony tail, with long bangs that are swept to one side. Her hair is messy usually, and simply kept out of her eyes using hairpins or her forehead protector. She sports the infamous eyes of the Henrin Family - Black Sclerae with red irides.
  • Body: Emi's lean, small frame is light and limber, with enough muscle tone to perform her shinobi duties but not enough to actually show very much in her physique. Her skin is very pale, with only minor nicks and scars here and there to be found.
  • Notable Features:The Henrin Family's features are prominent in Emi, her black hair and unique eyes easily giving away her family heritage. Beyond that, the woman is rather plain and ordinary - not much really stands out about her.
Clothing/Accessories: Starting from the top, Emi wears her forehead protector as a headband with black cloth, and a black leather collar around her neck, leading down to a black button up crop top with short sleeves. Underneath this crop top is typically a chest binding or sports bra to keep everything in place. Going down to her hands, the girl wears black evening gloves that leave her fingers open for dexterity's sake. For legwear, she wears a pair of asymmetrical shorts - Her right leg comes up to about mid thigh, while her left goes down to her knee. A leather belt holds these pants up, and attached to this belt is a ninja pouch hanging over her right cheek. She wears thigh high leggings, held up with a garter belt, and combat boots for footwear.
Personality:
  • General: Emi, unlike her mother, is quiet and stoic in most social settings. Not one to be rude and turn down a conversation, the girl simply isn't very interested in idle chit chat most days. Since her mother's death, she has had a lot weighing on her mind, and tends to prefer seclusion and isolation when possible. She has been known to be rather cold on occasion, harshly lashing out if the situation rubs any raw nerves or topics that she finds particularly uncomfortable or hurtful. That being said, the girl isn't completely agoraphobic; she has hobbies and interests beyond the life of a shinobi or Henrin. One of her favorite past times is Horticulture - the girl has a green thumb, and has a very successful garden that she takes care of, growing exotic plants and herbs not normally found in Wind Country with the success of a Naegi family member. More than once she has volunteered to assist in the daily management of the Naegi greenhouses, helping to provide food and medicine to the people of her village.

    The girl is very big on family - With her mother gone, she has stepped into a caretaker role as best she can, working alongside her father and aunt to provide care for the rest of her siblings. Of friends, she has few, but she's a rather easy person to work with; willing to follow directions as needed, but also happy to give her own input on the matter. The girl has a lot to prove, and strives hard to make her own way in the world, but she is always happy to find allies and friends that she can share her personal self with.
  • Hopes/Dreams: Emi seeks to step out from her mother's shadow. Being the child of the 12th Kazekage, she feels like all anyone sees is "The Daughter of the Kazekage". Her dream is to make a name for herself, in such a way that her name isn't always paired with her mother's.
  • Fears: Emi's greatest fear is Insignificance. The most crushing thing for Emi to handle would be to realize that, in spite of doing everything right, she simply isn't capable of fulfilling her duties and responsibilities.
  • Combat Mentality: Emi is a fierce combatant, utilizing a myriad of skills to handle her foe in whatever manner she believes is best for that particular foe. She seeks to create and exploit weaknesses in an opponent's skill set, searching for what they are the least experienced in and using that manner of combat to her advantage. Whether it's direct combat with her sword and ninjutsu, or indirect combat with genjutsu and the like, Emi is a well rounded shinobi with a wide array of skills to suit any occasion.

A weapon crafted from the very Light of her mother, at first the weapon appears to be nothing more than a 10 inch sword hilt with cross guards extending off of where a blade normally would be. The hilt is golden in color with a spiral grip wrapping around it, and a dark red ruby in the shape of a flame is suspended in it's pommel. The weapon's power is revealed when Emi activates it with her chakra, causing a 42 inch blade of golden light to spring to life from the hilt. The blade is made of hard light, allowing it to impact against other matter as if it were solid. It glows bright enough to illuminate the area around Emi, and it's cuts burn a target as the blade passes through them according to Hiton's passive. By focusing on the blade, Emi can cause the illumination effect to dampen down to only 1 meter around her, or brighten an area up to a number of meters equal to the weapon's strength. Additionally, she can focus on the blade to increase it's illumination so much so that it blinds anyone looking at the blade, as per the Hiton Passive. The blade's stats are decided upon manifestation, and currently, the weapon has a maximum of 20 strength and manifests with a maximum of 20 speed when activated. It remains active until dispelled. This weapon is suspended from Emi's hip, attached by a leather cord so that it can dangle but remain supported.

A character with this concentration is able to utilize Raiton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Raiton affinity. Raiton has a shocking effect.
Passive (Shocking)Show
Raiton has the effect of shocking, which means causes it's effect to be diffuse upon impact. In organic material, this causes nervous stimulation which results in numbness, tingling, loss of sensation, and sometimes paralysis. In inorganic material, this means that the strength of the jutsu diffuses across an area 2x the size of the attack. In a jutsu that creates a lightning ball 2m in diameter, if it struck a wall the size of the attack would cover a 4m area.

Additionally, the strength of the nervous effect on organic material from raiton jutsu is determined by the Strength stat range they fall into.

Fuuton has a natural cutting property to it, that exists in all jutsu unless otherwise stated. This gives fuuton a unique opportunity to strike with additional power, and to act as a offensive defense. Regardless of their purpose fuuton jutsu passively cut with no distinct pattern at 1/2 the strength of the technique rounded down unless otherwise stated. This means if someone punched a 20 strength fuuton wall, they would get cuts on their hand applied with 10 strength. This also means that fuuton jutsu specifically designated to cut things can create devastating wound by essentially striking twice.

A character with this concentration is able to utilize Kuuton, and advanced form of Fuuton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Kuuton affinity. Kuuton has a gravitational effect. These gravitational pockets can reach through barriers, walls, and function like a real source of gravity.
Passive (Pressure)Show
Kuuton users chakra to create pockets of gravity in a specific direction. Through the use of these technique Kuuton users can launch objects away from them, pull things in to a specific place, or crush things down into the ground. Kuuton jutsu operate off a focal point, and always move towards or away from that focal point. This means that all Kuuton jutsu cover some sort of area, and only effect what is within that area. They can not be used on a micro scale.

The fundamental skill of [Close Quarters Combat] indicates the user's proficiency to efficiently utilize martial arts and advanced combat moves involving the body, for example but not limited to, advanced kicks, grapples, advanced punches, etc.

The fundamental skill of [Acrobatics] includes the user’s ability to contort their body into unfamiliar positions in order to avoid attacks, as well as the user’s ability to fall safely and perform Ukemi and other feats of gymnastics. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.
Perception:
The fundamental skill of [Perception] describes the user’s practiced methods of more keenly focussing their senses for a short time. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.

Genjutsu

After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will imbue a projectile they are holding with chakra. Once they have thrown that projectile, they are able to cause it to return to them at equal speed as it is currently moving at within the next 2 posts. However, this projectile is only able to travel in a direct straight line from its position to the user, and it must be within 15 metres. Any projectiles which are stationary when called to return move with [Control] speed.

After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will raise up to 3 projectiles which will hover approximately 1.5m off of the ground in mid-air, and set them facing in a single direction. They are then able to cause them to be launched in that direction with [Control] speed and strength at any time over the next 3 posts, even immediately. If they are not fired during this time, the projectiles will simply drop to the ground.

After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will kneel down and touch the ground. This will cause the ground around them for 15 metres in every direction to become a focal point. All things within this area will be thrust into the air for 8 metres, unless they resist it with a strength higher than [Control].

D-Ranked Kuuton Nintaijutsu
After first channeling chakra throughout her body, Emi will direct this gravity chakra into the soles of her feet, enabling her to jump in a single direction at her normal speed. This can be used to jump even when a surface is not present, such as in mid air, and given it's simplicity is extremely easy to prepare at a moment's notice, allowing her to chain jumps together for repeated effect.

Emi channels a small amount of chakra around her body, forming a well of gravity with her as the focal point. This gravity pushes outward from her body in all directions up to a range of up to 15 meters from her person. While it is capable of forcing away even the strongest of attacks, it's main purpose is keeping harmful particulates from reaching her body, such as sand or mist. The current active range of the jutsu can be altered by focusing on the technique for a moment, allowing Emi to reduce or increase it's effective range as needed. This lasts for 3 posts.

After performing the necessary hand seals, Emi directs her chakra into one of her hands before thrusting it out in a direction. This releases a wave of gravity from that hand that flows forward for 30 meters. The wave is 10 meters in diameter and moves with [Control] speed, Harmfully pushing anything or anyone hit by this wave away from Emi using gravity with [Control] strength.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will create a black orb the size of a baseball made of gravity within 25 metres of their person. That orb will push on anything within 5 metres of itself with [Control] strength, forcing it away from it for 3 posts. This affects the user.

Emi will channel chakra through herself before funneling it into her body, creating a gravitational force centered on herself that pushes her away from the ground with enough strength to slow her fall. This enables her to slowly return to the ground as needed in the event that the fall may prove painful. While in effect, Emi can fall as little as 1 meter per post, or as fast as she wishes, slowing her descent as needed until she touches the ground. The jutsu ends after 4 posts or when she chooses to end it.

Emi will gather her chakra, directing it towards one of her hands. From this hand, a series of lightning bolts 5 meters in diameter will fly forward for 15 meters, flying with [control] strength and speed. After the correct hand seals are performed, the user coats themselves in a thick layer of lightning. This armour of lightning forms near instantly and requires [Control] Strength to break. During this time, the user's physical strikes apply the Raiton shocking effect.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will seep Raiton chakra in an area around them with a 25m diameter. This will produce an electric current on the ground in this area visible as crackling lightning on the surface. Any other than the user who step into this zone will have the shocking effect applied and their legs will sustain [Control] Strength shocks. This current lasts 3 posts, while it ends immediately if the user leaves the area.

Utilizing either her unique weapon or a similar weapon enhanced by chakra in some way, Emi will swing the weapon at an incoming ranged technique or attack with the intent of deflecting the strike away from her. Should she be able to make contact with the attack and her weapon's strength sufficient, she should be able to redirect the attack away from her enough to avoid damage.

Years of practice in the art of rolling have enabled Emi to effortlessly disperse kinetic energy through her body using simple rolls and proper falling technique. This allows her to not only 'roll with the punches', taking slightly less serious wounds by going with the flow of an attack, but also to use such rolls as a means of approaching an opponent in an unorthodox manner such as diving forward into a roll before springing to her feet for a strike.

Simple in practice, Emi will move as if to attack an opponent, readying her blade for a strike of some sort. As she draws near for the attack however, she will swiftly flourish her blade into a defensive stance instead, aiming to deflect an opponent's preemptive strike to her supposed offense in order to create an opening for a true offense. This technique's strength lies in it's versatility, as it can be employed in place of almost any other attack.

Emi will effortlessly twirl her sword in her hands by maneuvering her wrist in flourishing circular patterns, causing the weapon to spiral around her arm and body while she pivots and twirls on her feet. This is a standard stance for her style with two main benefits - The ability to deflect and bat away attacks and projectiles of weaker strength than her own, and making her movements and attacks far trickier to predict, as she can lash out with slashes and stabs from nearly any point during this stance's movements.

While thrusting her sword forward to stab at an opponent, just as she reaches the edge of her effective range, Emi will shift her upper body forward slightly while rotating her torso and twisting her wrist. This simple action pushes her sword arm further than normal, granting slightly longer range on her stab than she might otherwise have.

D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Emi can use this attack during any full body spin or turn, lashing out with her blade in a horizontal slash at the opponent's feet. While she turns her back to her opponent briefly, she will lean back slightly, raising her sword above her body to lash out with another horizontal slash aimed at the opponent's chest or head. The two attacks happen with rapid succession, the entire technique unleashed in the small amount of time it takes the woman to twirl around, and can be followed up with additional attacks with ease.

Emi will begin with what appears to be a stab aimed towards the opponent's upper body. However, as the blade draws closer, she will quickly turn her wrist and change the trajectory of the stab, aiming instead for the target's legs or feet.

Simple in action, Emi will hold her sword out with it's tip pointed towards her opponent as she steps backwards, waving the blade slightly as she puts space between her and her opponent. At any point during this stance, she can plant one of her feet and lunge forward at a following enemy, or use the waving motion of her sword to transition into a deflecting parry.

Emi will begin by crouching forward towards her opponent, placing her hand on the ground for stability before quickly flipping backwards into a cartwheel, aiming to kick her opponent in the chest or head as she completes the flip. This kick aims to knock her opponent either slightly into the air or off balance, and as she lands on her feet again, she will lunge forward with her sword in an attempt to stab her opponent.

Emi will throw her whole body forward into a horizontal slash aimed at her opponent, twisting her body with the path of the weapon while leaping off of her feet into an aerial cartwheel. While airborne, she will aim for both of her feet to make contact with an enemy's head or chest before landing facing her opponent, ending with another slash or stab aimed at the opponent.

Utilizing the unique nature of her signature weapon, Emi will aim to clash with her foe to make them think they are about to encounter the solid force of her blade. However, just as the weapons are about to connect, Emi will cease focus on her weapon's blade, causing it to dissipate in an attempt to get her opponent to throw themselves off guard with their own swing. She will then reactivate the blade after it has passed by her opponent's weapon, then adjust her angle so that she might thrust the tip of the light blade into her opponent's torso or slash at their limbs.

While the user has access to writing materials, they will enter a trance like state while recalling a memory in full detail. The Henrin will proceed to transcribe anything they might have seen onto paper. This can be anything from a book they might have read to drawing a portrait of a person they might have seen. The process itself can take anywhere from a post to 5 posts depending on the complexity of the transcription they're performing

By quickly using their Doujutsu, the family member can recall a small portion of any memory in a fraction of a second, in order to recall specific details such as clones, Genjutsu triggers, and the like. This takes almost no focus or effort, allowing The family member to recall the detail with pinpoint accuracy and speed

C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
By memorizing their surroundings with keen detail, the family member is able to recall the scenery, and, going above that, see the scenery in almost any angle. The reconstruction is done entirely by their eye, letting them 'see' in each different part of the area. However, there are limitations. This doesn't allow them to actually see through anything, but, the eye 'fills in' what isn't there. So, if someone is hiding by a bush, they would see a normal bush. It takes a full post to complete the picture, so other Dosatsugan jutsu cannot be used.

Using their ability to follow and analyze their opponent, the family member will watch carefully for any form of movement. Using this technique, the Henrin can react to an opponent's movement much faster and more precisely, allowing the member much more oppurtunity for a counter attack or dodge in encounters with her enemy. This level of the technique only allows for the Henrin to focus on a single target.

Using their photographic memory, a Henrin can effectively memorize the way an opponent utilized a specific Taijutsu technique. Thereafter, should that opponent attempt to use the same technique while the Henrin has their eye open, they can almost instinctively react to it as they have memorized and figured out the technique the first time. Essentially, the same Taijutsu technique does not normally work on a Henrin twice.

D=Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
Emi will gather her chakra before waving her sword at her enemy. Those who see this motion will be captured by the Genjutsu, which triggers whenever Emi gets within 1 meter of a target. Once within this range, the target will suddenly see Emi leap up into the air, aiming a slash for the target's upper body. In reality, this is an illusion meant to draw their attention to a false attack, leaving their defenses weak elsewhere. If the genjutsu has not been activated within 3 posts, It will deactivate harmlessly and the chakra will be wasted.

Emi will gather her chakra before using a light source to create a flash of light. Those who see this flash of light will be caught within the genjutsu, which causes them to see Emi as if she were two meters to the right from where she actually is, in relation to the target's orientation of right and left. This lasts for 3 posts.

History

Emi was the first born child of Kiyori Henrin and Arata Fujitsuna. Named after her mother's first love, a Kouseki woman she met as a genin, Emi was deeply loved by her family. However, around the time Emi turned 4, her mother rose to become Sunagakure's 12th Kazekage, and became known throughout the world as "The Sun's Radiance". Naturally, this meant Emi had less time with her mother, while her mother and Arata continued to have many other children, as is the way for the Henrin Family. Eventually, Emi felt like just another face in the crowd, even in her own home. The only person she seemed to relate to was a Naegi friend of her fathers, who helped to calm her by teaching her the art of Horticulture, a hobby the woman continues to this day.

Eventually, Emi began to feel like she wasn't even her own person anymore. After all, her mother was the famous Kazekage of Sunagakure - She began to hear "Daughter of the Kazekage" more than her own name. As the war broke out throughout the world, Emi sought to learn the ways of the shinobi herself - If only so that she might have the means to distance herself from her mother's reputation by carving out her own. Throughout her years of the academy, the girl found that she was adept in multiple forms of combat, and took to swordplay especially well. It wasn't any wonder when the girl graduated the academy at the age of 11, top of her class, and quickly acclimated to her life as a newly promoted genin of Sunagakure.

Things changed soon after her 12th birthday however, as the 12th Kazekage took ill shortly after the end of the war. Realizing her time was short, the woman elected to follow in the footsteps of the great Henrin before her, and performed the Daruma ritual. In doing so, Kiyori's life ended, but by encasing herself in silver as a statue, her memories would forever be preserved so that they might be used to further assist the peoples of the world. Before her mother's passing, the woman left with her a strange, ornate hilt with no blade, with clear instructions for Emi - Take the hilt to Konoha, inform them of her passing, and meet with Awai, Fanho. The cryptic message was only fuel to the fire for Emi... Her mother's sudden passing left Emi with a whirlwind of emotions to deal with - All those years mostly absent dealing with other responsibilities had left Emi with little connection to her mother, despite her obviously wanting one for all those years. She was bitter, angry and resentful of Kiyori for leaving her with only her father and a litter of children. And so she vowed that one day, she would rise so far beyond her mother's name that none would dare speak Emi's name in the same breath as Kiyori's. This is the mentality of a child, left feeling forgotten by her mother, as she moves forward in her life as a shinobi of Sunagakure.
