Abilities and Concentrations
Abilities
First Ability Shikigami no shukufuku [Paper elemental body] (pending Approval)
SpoilerShow
Toya was born with unique wiring in the neuropathways that made up who he was. Depending on who you consulted this could be seen as a defect. A malformation of an otherwise perfected neurological structure. We all hear voices. We just make a conscious effort to drown them out. These 'voices' might be packaged in unique ways of course. Negative thoughts after a mistake, a desire that doesn't fit the socio-normative context of the moment, and even positive thoughts of reaffirmation. They all come from a source from which, debatably, there is little information. Chemical reactions account for the catalyst but do not amount to the entirety of the conscious.

Toya shares consciousness with an entity in the same way a congenial twin would. Instead of being physically attached to the boy, it lurks in his psyche gaining power as he gains powers. This entity is known as the "Shikigami" and will drive the boy into both madness and his elemental body. The source of this entity can be theorized, but no conclusion will ever be drafted. It is not a spirit or a bijuu, ethereal beings that are matter in a sense. The shikigami could be a psychic twin driven mad by the void, a 'Boogey man' manifest into the real by Toya's psyche, schizophrenia, etc. All that matters is Toya exists and eventually this concept, this 'thing' will take hold of his body transforming his body into a continuous stream of paper.

The process will be done with an arbitrary ritual that holds significance to the shikigami itself. Limbs of the innocent and sinners alike will be piled into an altar worthy of its vision. Toya's consciousness will be essentially copied over by the entity. It won't be drowned or tucked away. The shikigami will take his place, identity, personality, and mannerisms. His ideals, motivation, plans, etc will be perverted to fit the shikigamis desires. Toya's flesh will become the very paper he held dominion over.
Toya's body is composed of a continuous stream of sheets of white paper. It revolves around his brain taking whatever form he so desires. The location of the brain is in a constant flux meaning it doesn't necessarily stay within the representation of his head. The size of what he can physically shape himself into cannot be smaller than his actual core/brain. His expansion rate follows the 'akimichi' expansion logic except his is defined by control and is not bound to humanoid shapes. His brain being the core applies the effects of 'Shikigami's Envoy' if someone directly looks at it within a range of 4 feet.

His body recieves a rank higher in damage from suuton and katon sources. It has, however the capability of flight and Toya can essentially 'ride' fuuton techniques by paying their cost in chakra as well.
Second Ability Shikigami no shisetsu [Shikigami's envoy]
As the envoy of the Shikigami, Toya's chakra as as a medium that spreads the Shikigami's influence. A defenses quality, this effect activates under a number of different circumstances:
  • Should they sense his chakra by way of sensory techniques or doujutsu
•Should they use ninjutsu to invade his mind (such as the Yamanaka conscious control techniques)
•Should a genjutsu be used on him
•Should they look directly as his core
Should any of these requirements be met, a 'bug' that operates like a genjutsu will be initiated in that person if they have a Willpower stat lower than Toya, causing a cascading effect that lasts for 8 posts. This effect can be broken like any other genjutsu, and when doing so grants [3 posts] before that person can be 'bugged' again. The effect of this bug can be read in the spoiler below.
Initiating costs Toya a D rank amount of chakra.
SpoilerShow
Post 1 - The afflicted are immediately hit by a sense of extreme unease at what they see or sense. This feeling grows stronger after the initial post.

Post 2 - The afflicted begin to hear fluttering. Inspection will reveal origami birds innocuously perched around the environment. Attempts at attacking them will result in their destruction, but they will continue to show up in the afflicted's blind side.

Post 3 - Origami in the shape of things that are meaningful to the afflicted begin to appear here and there. They will not manifest while t afflicted is looking and appear after a turn, closing of eyes, lapse in attention, etc. If the afflicted hold nothing of value in their heart/mind, paper will appear scattered everywhere with drawings resembling the void. Burning/destroying them will cause flashes of what they represent suffering the same fate. Burning/destroying the void papers will cause flashes of being consumed by the flames/destruction themselves.

Post 4 - Humanoid paper beings will begin to appear hiding behind things. They whisper dark secrets the afflicted carry. At this stage, the feeling of unease has evolved to extreme paranoia. Killing the paper beings will only result in them turning into a cluster of origami birds that fly away. They will keep appearing until the conditions are met to resolve the affliction. They manifest much like the bird although in a context where they can only appear directly in front of the afflicted they will rise from the ground, unfolding into their shape.

Post 5 - At this point, the afflicted is surrounded by the symptoms of all stages to a higher degree, however, in a moment of seemingly clarity it all stops abruptly. The birds fly away, the humanoids disappear and the pieces from stage 3 all go away.

Post 6 - After the stage of clarity, the afflicted are struck by a feeling of extreme anxiety and panic. An indescribable sound, horrendous smell, and bile taste are the precursor to unimaginable horror. The Shikigami has arrived. Upon sight of the entity, the afflicted goes mad. The shikigami will follow them for what seems to be an eternity. Attempts at destroying it have similar results to stage 4. After this stage the afflicted is left with lingering feelings of panic and distress.

Third Ability
Concentrations
Ninjutsu
Shikigami no Mai:
Shikigami no Mai
A concentration unique to Toya due to his connection to the Shikigami, Toya is able to cast jutsu to create and manipulate paper sheets. This includes controlling the paper that makes up his own body. Shikigami no Mai has a Locking passive, which causes it to suspend the initiators for genjutsu in them for an indefinite period. This means a genjutsu initiated by looking, sensing, or touching a specified paper will be able to initiate indefinitely unless that piece of paper is destroyed by burning or tearing it. Additionally, Shikigami no Mai can be used to facilitate fuuinjutsu by writing fuuin directly on them. Like fuuin, jutsu produced by this concentration are weaker to Katon.
Fuuton Affinity:
Fuuton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Fuuton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Fuuton affinity. Fuuton has an cutting effect.
Passive (Cutting)Show
Fuuton has a natural cutting property to it, that exists in all jutsu unless otherwise stated. This gives fuuton a unique opportunity to strike with additional power, and to act as a offensive defense. Regardless of their purpose fuuton jutsu passively cut with no distinct pattern at 1/2 the strength of the technique rounded down unless otherwise stated. This means if someone punched a 20 strength fuuton wall, they would get cuts on their hand applied with 10 strength. This also means that fuuton jutsu specifically designated to cut things can create devastating wound by essentially striking twice.

History
Historical AccountsShow
A female therapist observes a small, frail looking boy. Pale eyes and snow white hair that
contrasted the desert from which they hailed. Assigned to Toya after an incident at home, she
was given the responsibility of making him open up about the experience, something he still
wouldn't talk about, months after the incident. In his hands was a piece of paper. He fiddled
around with it in seemingly meaningless ways, yet in the end there would be something that
bared resemblance to some animal. Orgami was the only thing the therapist could get the boy
to express himself. Depending on the animal made, she'd question him in regards to emotion.
For a child his age, emotions were either too abstract and subjective to explain or they were to
simple and dull for the child to care about. Toya fell in latter. His actions were obvious to himself,
and he knew very well how he felt about them. It wasn't, however, wise to open himself up to a
stranger, especially adults. So he'd continue the silent charade until the adults stopped nagging
him to talk about something that, in his mind, wasn't even that big of a deal.
Toya, did you this? Toya did you do that? Why did you do it? Did she make you upset? You
can tell me. You can trust me. Her parents are upset and just want to know the truth.

The voices of his parents echoed through the walls of his mind. They were objectively good
parents. Both shinobi of the hidden sand village. Their ranks were, disappointingly, lackluster.
Toya saw them as passive machines in the cog that kept the sandy village running. The pawns
as some might say. Which means that any narrative that might lean towards them for Toya's
incident was false. The boy was simply different. Luckily for him, Toya was born into a militarized
village of assassins on payroll. His incident didn't land him in jail or worse, but in therapy. Dogs
that show aptitude for killing were kept and those that winced were slaughtered. It was the way
of the world. They could not, however, teach someone out of their mind that displayed psychotic
tendencies. Toya was too young to mentally outmaneuver the therapist or even comprehend the
plans set in motion for him, but he knew that keeping his mouth shut was the answer for the
moment.
Session after session he'd make more origami art for his therapist. His manual skill with the
pieces of paper had increased showing an either advanced cognitive function or an extreme
compulsive disorder.
One day the boy showed up to her office with a box. In it were a series of highly intricate origami
designs. All resembled people in Toya's life. First was his mother, Kokoro. Her features were so
well defined, the therapist could only ponder how long it took to fold such master pieces. Then
he showed her his father, Duncan, which was followed by the therapist herself and finally the girl
from the incident. Her origami wasn't as pristine as the rest. The paper was stained with dry
blood and the smoothness found in the others was replaced by rigged crumples. It was little
hibi-chan. The therapist didn't react, but simply observed the macabre work of art in silence.
Toya Takahashi was a young boy going through psycho therapy after an incident of violence
with someone close. Due to his age and notable skill with chakra his parents decided to enlist
him within the sunagakure academy in the hopes he'd forget about what happened or move
past it. The therapist never agreed with this decision, but it was ultimately up to them. The boy
was in every sense normal, but at very specific moments she'd see something. A flash of what
was really hidden behind those dull eyes.
Within a few years he got through the academy and was promoted to gennin status. There was
never a single report against him or incidents similar to the one with Hibi. Toya made friends and
was praised by his teachers. He'd continue to attend the therapist in secret to everyone but his
parents although as time goes on they wonder if it's even necessary anymore. The therapist
insists on it and keeps the bloody origami with her to this day.
