  • Face/head: Kazue Amaya has long red hair that extends down her backside even when pulled back in a ponytail, bangs hanging past her chin. Her eyes are a deep blue and she has no form of scars or tattoos on her face.
  • Body: Kazue Amaya has always cut a very lean figure, her body finally having developed into that of a woman's by this point in her life. Over the last few years her body has become littered with various scars from her training.
  • Notable Features: Kazue Amaya has a tattoo of an old dragon on her upper right arm that comes up her shoulder and across the right side of her chest. She has several piercings up her ears. She has a significant scar over her right eyebrow and another on her abdomen.
Clothing/Accessories: Kazue Amaya wears a loose pair of pants that tie at the waist, and traditional haori all in mostly black with red accents. She keeps her chest bound in bandages traditionally underneath. In addition she wears simple forearm guards and gloves of similar design.

She may have focused her time since her loss on her physical prowess but locked within her mind are still the secrets of chakra and how to use it. This ability allows her to tap into that sense-memory knowledge as if she hasn't been away from her chakra studies for even a day, mechanically resulting in a change of up to 15 stat points from Strength to Chakra Pool, and of up to 15 stat points from Speed to Control. This ability lasts for up to 8 posts with a 2 post cooldown between.

Chiton has an replenishing effect. This means that Chiton jutsu passively repair themselves when damaged, at no additional cost to the user. The rate of repairing itself is 1/3rd the speed of the technique rounded up, so a Chiton defense that manifests at 10 speed would repair itself at 4 speed when damaged. This only works for the length of the technique, so maintaining the damage to Chiton until the jutsu expires will stop it from regrowing.
Suiton:
Suiton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Suiton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Suiton affinity. Suiton has a passive enveloping effect.
Passive (Enveloping)Show
Suiton's effect is enveloping, meaning that suiton passively surrounds anything that it makes contact with. Suiton techniques that do not last over periods of times (i.e, exploding techniques) drench their opponents, but long term techniques will envelop anything they come in contact with and maintain a hold on it with the 3/4th strength of the technique, rounded down. This means that if a suiton wave is shot forward with 17 strength, it will envelope and move anything with it that does not have more than 12 strength to resist it. This allows Suiton to fill a very powerful role in eliminating tools from opponent's access and capturing targets.

The hallmark of Iaido is its practitioners abilities to launch an attack even when their swords are sheathed. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity to consistently execute a sword draw and slash all in one movement by gripping the edge of the scabbard and pulling the scabbard slightly forward before drawing the sword. This Discipline enables the practitioner to immediately draw their sword and attack at the start of combat.

Since Iaido is a style that prioritizes speed over brute strength, wise usage of the blade is paramount to the practitioner's success in the style. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge of their weapon's strengths and weaknesses in combat, allowing them to use the weapon more efficiently both inside and outside of its use in Iaido techniques and avoid unnecessarily presenting their weapon's blind spots to the opponent.

The practitioner has learned how to more quickly and efficiently sheath his blades. The practitioner can now seamlessly transition from drawing their blade to slash to sheathing their blade, allowing the practitioner to sheath their sword in half the time, up to a maximum speed equal to their Speed score, for the more rapid execution of Iaido techniques.

The most iconic (and most basic) strike of Iaido, the practitioner quickly draws and cuts with their blade in a wide arc in one fluid motion. This simultaneous draw and attack straight from the scabbard makes Iaido well-suited for an initial surprise attack and for taking advantage of openings presented by the opponent.

A simple yet potent defense, especially against other weapons users, the practitioner partially draws the sword from its scabbard and blocks incoming attacks with the back of their blade. This technique is ineffective against opponents with higher Strength than the practitioner's Strength.

D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A defensive technique particularly useful when an opponent is close to the practitioner or is clinching them in a grapple, the practitioner grabs the hilt of their sword with a reverse grip and rams the butt or pommel of the hilt into the opponent's body, pushing the opponent back a number of meters equal to the difference between their Strength scores. Conversely, against opponents with higher Strength than their own, the practitioner can use this technique to push themselves back a number of meters equal to their own Strength score. The speed and simplicity of the attack can push opponents away and give the practitioner the needed space to set up additional attacks.

Prerequisite(s): 8 Speed.
A simple technique meant to cripple the target's vision, the practitioner draws the sword from its scabbard and aims a quick slash at the eyes. This technique can be done in any single direction to either target one or both of the opponent's eyes.

C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Losing the use of one's hand or arm in a fight can be a death sentence, but Iaido has found a simple, elegant response to this desperate situation. Using their free hand, the practitioner momentarily braces the edge of their sword against the inside of the scabbard before drawing. While it does not confer the instant acceleration benefit of its parent technique, this Discipline does allow the practitioner to use Iaido techniques at their normal speed even with only one hand.

The practitioner has learned how to more quickly and efficiently sheath his blades even without the use of both hands. The practitioner can now sheath the blade just as quickly with one hand as could be done with two hands, and so long as the scabbard remains on their person, the practitioner will always have an exact knowledge of the position of their scabbard.

Using Iaido to its fullest requires a keen eye and quick reactions, enabling its users to target weaknesses and openings that their opponents present almost instantaneously. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to attack openings that present themselves, the practitioner now able to reflexively attack an opening in almost the same moment that it is observed. This Discipline reduces the gap of time between a practitioner recognizing a potential opening for attack and launching the attack to exploit said opening to almost nil.

Prerequisite(s): 15 Speed.
Drawing upon the superlative speed of Iaido, the practitioner momentarily torques the muscles in their body to draw their sword from its scabbard and deliver a blindingly fast slash before sheathing their blade. Properly reading this attack requires the opponent to have a Perception technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. Otherwise, they cannot accurately read the attack and will be unlikely to completely avoid the attack, if at all.

Prerequisite(s): 15 Speed.
An abnormally aggressive technique in Iaido, this technique serves as a preemptive counter, attacking the opponent in the split moment between drawing back to prepare an attack and launching said attack. Violently torquing the muscles in their legs, the practitioner more quickly accelerates to their maximum speed (or instantly accelerating to their max speed if their Strength is equal or higher than their Speed) than with normal movement. With this movement, the practitioner bolts toward the opponent and launches an attack, cutting the opponent as they pass to their side. This technique can be used while moving to immediately change direction instead before launching the attack. Properly reading this attack requires the opponent to have a Perception technique of equal or higher rank than this technique.

C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Speed.
A technique refining the concept of targeting multiple opponents with a single draw, the practitioner uses their sheath hand to reverse grip the hilt. Using the one hand, the practitioner quickly torques their body and cuts with a reverse hand slash a full 360 degrees before immediately sheathing the blade. This technique can strike multiple opponents at once, and the reverse grip of the sword allows the practitioner to more easily defend against counterattacks immediately after.

B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Iaido • One with the Sheath], *[Iaido • One with the Sword].
Through incredible amounts of practice, the practitioner of Iaido has learned his weapon and its housing inside and out. The user of this weapon can now reflexively sheath their sword in its scabbard almost instantaneously by instinct with either one hand or both hands without even looking. This facilitates further use of other Iaido techniques.

Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength, 25 Speed, *[Iaido • Ancestral Visage].
In order for Iaido to stand toe to toe with a variety of high-level opponents, refining fundamentals to a new height is necessary. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to more quickly accelerate to max movement speed and decelerate to a full stop at a moment's notice. This does not offer protection against attacks that the practitioner does not know is coming.

B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Iaido • Death’s Gates].
Unlike most of Iaido's techniques, Silent Passing is not particularly useful in the heat of combat. Instead, it is an attack meant to be executed from a standing position, such as while casually walking towards an opponent. Once in close enough proximity to the opponent, the practitioner draws their sword, strikes the opponent's opening, and sheaths their blade with such speed, it appears to the untrained eye that the practitioner continued to simply walk past their target. Properly reading this attack requires the opponent to have a Perception technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. Otherwise, the opponent will not be capable of fully avoiding this attack if they are in range without some sort of passive defense.

B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 20 Strength, 25 Speed, *[Iaido • Death’s Gate], *[Iaido • Spectral Flight].
Building upon the premise established by the Death's Gate technique, this technique now makes it possible to use the technique against opponents at greater distances. Drawing upon the superlative speed of Iaido, the practitioner momentarily torques the muscles in their body to instantly accelerate to their maximum speed. Dashing a number of meters equal to the practitioner's Strength, they draw their sword from its scabbard and deliver a blindingly fast slash before resheathing their blade. Properly reading this attack requires the opponent to have a Perception technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. Otherwise, the opponent cannot accurately read the attack and will be unlikely to completely avoid the attack, if at all.

B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 35 Speed.
The superlative speed of Iaido is harnessed to attain seemingly supernatural feats. By momentarily torquing the muscles in their arms, the practitioner manages slashes so fast that they spawn vacuum blades that follow the trajectory of their original attack. This attack spawns a single vacuum blade that travels up to a number of meters equal to half the practitioner's Speed, rounded down, and hits with 1/2 the Strength of the original attack, rounded down. If this technique is used in tangent with a melee attack, the vacuum blade strikes immediately after the original attack is finished, potentially sealing the opponent's guard and creating an opening. This technique can be used in conjunction with other techniques.

Doing a series of hand seals, the user will clap their hands together, using chakra to boost their cardiac performance, and increasing their speed by +3, however reducing their control by -3 for the 4 post duration of this technique.

*Bold Clotting
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the needed seals, the user will place their hand over an open wound up to five inches wide and two inches deep. After channeling Chiton chakra for a full post, the user will form a superficial blood-clot covering over the wound to prevent further bloodflow from it. While this cover doesn't completely heal the wound, it allows the target's body to recover from the wound naturally without agitation.

*Venipuncture
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the needed hand seals, the user will get a grip on their target, causing two needles from their palms to lash out into the target, pumping their blood into the target. Follow up techniques can be utilized with this jutsu to attack the opponent from the inside out.

*Blood Weapon
D-Rank Chiton Ninjutsu
After performing the needed seals, the user will cause blood to break through their skin, forming a kunai in their hand. The kunai has [Control] strength, and can be thrown. After impact, if falls into a pool of blood that can then be used for other attacks.

*Bathed In
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the needed seals, the user will slather blood on their body. By concentrating Chiton chakra in the blood, the user thins it out, allow the user to spread it over a larger area on their body. As a result, the user will look much more wounded and bloodier as a means to trick the opponent.

C-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the needed seals, the user will channel Chiton chakra into a location on their body. From that location a 2ft long spike of chakra will shoot out from under their skin with [Control] strength at [Control] speed. The spike is sharp, and will either recede back into the body after use, or follow up jutsu can be used with it.

C-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the needed hand seals, the user will focus their chakra on a patch of their blood, at least a baseball in circumference, within 25m of their body. From the patch of blood 5 senbon will form, and fire in whatever direction they choose, at [Control] speed, with [Control] strength. This is most commonly used on blood they've gotten onto the enemy, firing directly into their skin.

*Blood Bond

The user will do a series of hand seals, coating their hands in blood once complete. The next object or person the user touches with either hand will hand ropes of blood grow from the blood on their hands, wrapping around the point of contact. These 4 ropes each hold on with [Control] strength, and can stretch up to 2m from the user. The jutsu lasts for up to 5 posts unless broken.

Kazuki Amaya and her twin brother, Kazuki Ryu, were born to Kazuki Ryoga and his wife Ren. They began life as the children of two warriors with a certain standing in the village. However at the age of five the pair accompanied their parents to an event in Iron Country. On their return they were attacked and their father stayed back to fight the enemy. They never realized that when their mother went back to find him, it would be to return with his body. Kazuki Ryoga was the Overseer of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist and the funeral was befitting a man of his position. But it was the beginning of a terrible time for the family, and not just because of the loss of Ryoga. A year after his death Amaya’s mother became too distraught and committed suicide.

Her death left Amaya and her brother in the hands of their grandparents where Amaya came to hate her mother for the way she left the world, and adore her father’s memory for the way his life ended and the way he led it. She trained day after day, reading old journals her parents left behind to get to know their work and their lives. As she went into the academy she went in with a chip on her shoulder and seemed to practically refuse to try and make friends. She focused almost entirely on the work, and on nothing else.

When Amaya graduated the academy, alongside her twin brother, with was with both pride and purpose and her grandparents in attendance. Finally a Genin, Amaya was ready to prove she was more than the daughter of a coward who committed suicide. Then the news slapped her in the face that her assigned rival would be none other than her twin, Ryu. The news left the pair angry, and constantly at one another’s throats. Their jibes and jokes went from being playful banter to far worse almost overnight. Amaya began taking every opportunity to prove she was stronger than her brother, no matter how trite it might have seemed. Though while for a time it seemed as if the rivalry was going to push the twins apart, over time it actually began to keep them close. Going on missions seemed to reteach the pair how to work together, while still of course maintaining the competition that always existed between the two. During her time as a Genin she managed to meet and befriend the host of a Genma within the village, one Karagata Shinjiro. The pair were immediately very close, even sharing their first kiss together. Yet shinobi duties kept both from spending much time together and the pair seemed to grow apart.

Things became so busy between the two that when Ryu was ready for the Chunin exam, Amaya was not. Her twin rushed into his exam and achieved his next rank while Amaya continued her studies. By time the girl herself became ready for the exams, it was just prior to the start of the war, which was when everything changed for her. Amaya was sent out, as a Chunin, as part of a patrol in Tea Country where they encountered samurai and a fight broke out. Amaya herself was badly injured before being knocked unconscious, and was never recovered by the village.
Kazue's memory only begins during the recent war. She was found unconscious and badly injured by a resident of Tea Country. As far as they could tell she had been there for a couple of days at least. Her clothing was so stained and worn that nothing about her could be discerned, the only thing she still had on her was a strange looking Khyber Knife. She was taken in by the family and treated, and when it became clear she had no memory due to wounds she suffered, she remained in Tea Country.

Since then Kazue has lived in Tea and among the Samurai there, the ones that remained, since the family that took her in was affiliated with them. She learned Iaido from them, picking it up quickly as she seemed to have a natural knack for it somehow. She had prided herself as a protector of the family who took her in, and had taken on a deep hatred of Kiri for what happened to and in Tea Country.

With the war finally ending, and things slowly settling down Kazue has begun to enjoy the peace, but more and more her lack of memory is perplexing her. She is torn between taking care of the family she has come to see as her own, and finding out who she really is.
