DescriptionShow
Clothing/AccessoriesShow Yutaka wears a sleeveless, high-collar black shirt that hugs his body and exposes his midriff. On top of this is a beige jacket made from various pelts, with pale ruffs of fur from the animals he hunted back in Konoha's forest. It's fairly misshapen, with three large claw-marks tattering the front of it, but as it's his last gift from his mother before he turned his back on Konoha, he refuses to find a replacement until its in shreds. A black glove covers his left hand, while a bracelet of excess fur adorns his right wrist. He has a blue pouch attached to his right thigh and a kunai holstered to the loop of his belt. His pants are dark brown to match a fairly earth-toned look, with high black ninja sandals. HistoryShow Yutaka was born into the Inuzuka clan, the third of an eventual four-child brood. His eldest brother, Takeshi, already excelled in ninja training by the time Yutaka was old enough to understand the world around him, and his control of both his jutsu and the mutual respect between him and his new canine partner deeply inspired the six-year-old boy. Though his best run was still a toddle, the little Inuzuka began (what he thought was) intense training with a small stuffed toy he called his ninken. He was going to be a ninja like Takeshi, of this he had no doubt. At eight, he began to pine for his canine partner more than ever before. He was the only of his siblings who didn't have a ninken yet- really, him nor his four year old sister, but for argument's sake he felt she hardly counted. His older brother, Isuma, was happy to rub his newly acquired partner in Yu's face, making sure to play and train with his ninken especially enthusiastically when he knew Yutaka was within earshot. Being closest in age of the four children, a rivalry between the two had sparked early on, and the two years waiting for his rite of passage were some of the longest in Yutaka's life. Finally, the sun of his tenth year began to rise, and with a swath of stars still twinkling in the milky pink sky, Yutaka's father escorted him into the woods just outside of Konoha. Deep in the forest, Yutaka was introduced to a litter of recently weaned pups, all of differing grey-and-white hues. It didn't take long for Yutaka to figure out which he was destined to bond with- of all the wriggling young dogs, the ninken he would later know as Tsume clasped down on his hand and refused to let go for a solid six minutes. Tsume was a stubborn brat of a puppy, making the beginning of Yutaka's passage particularly miserable. By the end, through their adventures and hardships as a lone pair in the woods, their bond was slowly coming to fruition. Once they were back at home, however, what finally inspired the young dog to fully cooperate was the rivalry between Isuma and Yutaka. Tsume wasn't going to get beaten by his kin, and put his trust in Yutaka to counter them. Together, the new pair enrolled into the ninja academy. Having spent the majority of his life interacting solely with his clan and their ninken, Yu was not prepared for the judgmental eyes of his peers. He learned the hard way what people thought of the Inuzuka clan and their relationship with the canines of Konoha's woodlands. It was around this time that Yutaka noticed the Hokage. He marveled at the sheer amount of unwavering respect the Hokage was given by everyone in the village, wherever he went. Not once did he hear anyone call him a beast, or tell him that he smelled like a wet dog. What especially blew his mind is that the boy's favourite ramen place even insisted on serving the Lord for free. So easily did Yutaka's imagination go wild, following the Hokage around the village. In his young mind, he could see himself standing tall in his Lord's place, clad in the Hokage's red-and-white garb with Tsume beside him. No one would call him names then, and he would have all of the free food that two stomach's could possibly fit. It became all he could think about. Most of his classmates vocalized their ridicule, saying the beast boy's dream was laughable, but he knew one day he would make it happen. From then on, Yutaka picked up his studying habits (of which he grudgingly still struggled) and trained fiercely with Isuma whenever he wasn't training with his new Genin team. He wanted to excel and prove his peers wrong. When neither of his brothers were home, he would even train with his little sister. He dropped his loud and enthusiastic nature to become more focused, because as he got older, what became apparent to him was the respect becoming Hokage would give to his clan. He was beginning to realise how much they needed it. At age twelve, after graduating the academy, he was put into a Genin team consisting of himself, a girl from the Aburame clan and a swordsman whose family name held no weight. He was uncertain about them at first, as he had naturally become wary of other children, but he eventually warmed up to them to the point even Tsume would let them pet him. They were his first real friends outside of his clan and he finally felt a sense of belonging among his fellow peers. Though his goal was still on the front of his mind, with his two teammates, he began to relax. He became more friendly and charismatic when he was with them; he was more willing to open up and joke around again. They grew as a team and strengthened this bond until they were ready for their Chunin exam. He felt unstoppable as a Chunin. His team's dynamic had developed even further after the exam, each pushing themselves to become better in their respective field. The Hokage was the best shinobi in the village, so Yutaka knew he had big shoes to fill. At the exam, he had nearly lost Tsume, and his Aburame teammate drained her chakra at one point supporting him and the swordsman. There was much he still had to learn, not just about his abilities but what he could do for those around him. He wasn't just fighting for himself as a shinobi, but his teammates and the village he was certain he would one day lead. Unfortunately, his dream would experience a hiccup. On what should have been a simple escort mission, his team was ambushed by roadside bandits. Fending them off as they encroached on the merchant's carriage, Yutaka learned too late of the bloodied blade that had taken the life of his comrade on the other side of the wagon. It was one of the first times Yutaka let himself lose control. He wiped out the remaining bandits in a fit of rage alongside his mournful Aburame teammate, but the vengeance was bittersweet. The road was littered with corpses, and lying among them was one of his best friends. No amount of bloodshed could change that, and the reality of this loss absolutely crushed him. After bringing the swordsman's body to his family, Yutaka silently sought comfort from his remaining teammate. Only, the Aburame woman had become cold to him. He began to wonder if she blamed him, for he often mulled over the idea. As an Inuzuka, he felt he should have picked up on the bandits' presence. He wondered what he could have done differently, or how he could have paid more attention. After enough wallowing, he no longer tried to rekindle their friendship, accepting bitterly that things would never be the same again. As a Jounin, it seemed he barely even saw her in the village. The village... How could he protect the village as Hokage if he couldn't even protect his teammate? He spent months on high-risk missions, trying to perfect his clan's techniques and build a reputation for himself. He had a political ladder to climb and he was prepared to do whatever it'd take to garner respect for the Inuzuka clan. Mission after mission, he found he wasn't progressing like he felt he should have been. In fact, he found he was at the same status as his eldest brother, who had been a shinobi for much longer than he had. Takeshi was a masterful ninja, superior to his two little brothers, but somehow he, Isuma and Yutaka were all treated the same. They were stagnant. Unwilling to accept this, Yutaka went as far as to learn katon, much to his mother's objections. As a clan with deep respect for mother nature, the idea of being able to spread fire was uncomfortable for her to accept. Yutaka had similar fears, at least initially, but katon was considered the most dangerous of the elements, and for that reason, he thought it most powerful. Most fitting of Konoha's Hokage. Still unmoving, eventually, Yutaka confided in his father one evening about his stunted progress and his ambition of becoming Hokage. The latter was something his father was aware of- Yu had spouted it often enough as a child. Only, when the boy had gone to focus, his father thought with relief that he had dropped the idea, and that it had been the verbal vomit of a young child. But finally, his old man responded with the words that would shape Yu's future in a way he would have never expected. His father informed him that as the youngest clan in Konoha, a family viewed as 'wild beasts' no less, there was no hope that Yutaka would ever become Hokage. It was just not a privilege the clan had and one that, in his gut, Yutaka had been fighting the truth of all along. That was the last he and his father spoke of his dream. Silently, Yutaka had decided that he was not going to serve a village that didn't respect him. All of his hard work was meaningless. He sat on this idea, distancing himself from any relations he still had, even within his clan. Using Konoha solely as a resource, he took months to extend his katon style into sankaton. He knew he would need it with the path he was forging. Once he was comfortable with his abilities, in the middle of one night, he visited his sleeping sister and left his old stuffed toy by her side. His final peaceful gesture within the village. Yutaka then left through Konoha's main gate, Tsume by his side. He was going to get stronger and build his legacy, but it wasn't going to be in Konoha. |

Combat StyleShow Yutaka treats his opponents like a predator treats its prey. When facing someone notably weaker than him, he will toy with them like a dog playing with its food. When engaging with someone his level or higher however, he gets incredibly focused. When 'hunting', he engages in a chase with terrifying speed. He will wear down his enemy's stamina and aim for pressure points or limbs with a combination of his elemental affinities and his natural Inuzuka ferocity. Not many come to battle prepared to deal with the wild fighting technique of an Inuzuka- tearing out one's jugular with his teeth has become something of a calling card. He will also try to hinder one's ability to walk by crippling his opponents through whatever means imaginable. He is particularly vicious to those hunting him as a missing-nin, as the idea of being someone's prey is absolutely insulting to him. Taijutsu Specialist:
