ISHIGURO TAKASHI
'Kumo's Great White Dragon'

["Let me show you how weak you are."]

General Information Age: 27
Gender: Male
Height: 6'1''
Weight: 189 lbs
Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Takashi has a medium length white-blonde hair that is intentionally layered for a messier look. His eyes are a pale grey and skin is fairly pale.
  • Body: Takashi is of a very lean muscle build though with very little actual definition and stands at about six feet tall.
  • Notable Features: While Takashi has a few smaller scars littering his body, his most noteable is a rather large one on the left side of his chest when he was nearly killed on mission by a kenjutsu user.
Clothing/Accessories: Despite now being considered a criminal by his home village, Takashi still maintains his old 'flair' which tends to make him stand out. He wears a pair of dark pants with a vibrant red shirt. He wears a dark blue jacket, not entirely unlike a suit jacket, over it with white lining. For shoes he wears white cowboy boots and is often seen with jewelry such as bracelets, rings and even piercings up the cartilage of either ear.
Personality:
  • General: Takashi is most well known for his overly happy and even cheerful demeanor. He’s seen even as a bit of a drinker and partier when the time is right, though that doesn’t mean he can’t be serious when the time calls for it, it just means he’s often mistaken for not being serious. As someone who could be described as ‘chaotic good’ on a normal day or even ‘chaotic neutral’ on a bad day, he can be a mite unpredictable.
  • Hopes/Dreams: Takashi hopes one day to get back home to Kumo, despite what others might think of him. His greatest hope is to see Hayate, the 9th Raikage who he sees as a usurper, taken out of power, one way or another. He wouldn’t even mind having a role in that removal.
  • Fears: His only real fear is to see his home destroyed by the man he hates the most.
  • Combat Mentality: Though not completely inept when it comes to close quarters combat, Takashi prefers to cripple his opponent with Ninjutsu or Genjutsu first.

Abilities and Concentrations
Abilities
First Ability
Ishiguro:
Denjiton
Born to the Ishiguro clan, this user is able to utilize Disruption Release, a fusion composed of Raiton and Fuuton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require Denjiton. Denjiton has a cancelling effect.
Passive (Canceling)Show
Denjiton is used to cancel the effects of chakra, namely jutsu. Denjiton functions by creating areas where chakra is cancelled out, weakening jutsu, and actually targetting people to cause internal damage by damaging their chakra networks. Denjiton is incredibly difficult to master, takes large amount of control, but has proven itself to be an extremely dangerous element that an completely alter the flow of battle.
Dampen:
The term dampen refers to using Denjiton to lessen the quality of chakra in a specific area. Jutsu that are dampened lose strength and speed.
Second Ability---------
Third Ability-------------
Concentrations
Ninjutsu
Fuuton Affinity:
Fuuton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Fuuton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Fuuton affinity. Fuuton has an cutting effect.
Passive (Cutting)Show
Fuuton has a natural cutting property to it, that exists in all jutsu unless otherwise stated. This gives fuuton a unique opportunity to strike with additional power, and to act as a offensive defense. Regardless of their purpose fuuton jutsu passively cut with no distinct pattern at 1/3rd the strength of the technique rounded down unless otherwise stated. This means if someone punched a 19 strength fuuton wall, they would get cuts on their hand applied with 6 strength. This also means that fuuton jutsu specifically designated to cut things can create devastating wound by essentially striking twice.
Raiton Affinity:
Raiton Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Raiton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Raiton affinity. Raiton has a shocking effect.
Passive (Shocking)Show
Raiton has the effect of shocking, which means causes it's effect to be diffuse upon impact. In organic material, this causes nervous stimulation which results in numbness, tingling, loss of sensation, and sometimes paralysis. In inorganic material, this means that the strength of the jutsu diffuses across an area 2x the size of the attack. In a jutsu that creates a lightning ball 2m in diameter, if it struck a wall the size of the attack would cover a 4m area.

Additionally, the strength of the nervous effect on organic material from raiton jutsu is determined by the ninjutsu stat requirement.
  • 1-10 Ninjutsu Requirement : Tingling, acute numbness
  • 11-20 Ninjutsu Requirement: Loss of Sensation
  • 21-35 Ninjutsu Requirement: Localized Paralysis
  • 36+ Ninjutsu Requirement: Diffuse Paralysis

Denjiton (Ninjutsu)Show
D Rank:
~Slow Down
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, then thrust their hands forward, creating a screen of chakra 3m x 3m in size anywhere within 5m in front of them. Any sources of chakra that pass through the screen will lose 3 speed.

~Weaken
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, then thrust their hands forward, creating a screen of chakra 3m x 3m in size anywhere within 5m in front of them. Any sources of chakra that pass through the screen will lose 3 strength.

~Dampen
D-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, then thrust their hands forward, creating a screen of chakra 3m x 3m in size anywhere within 5m in front of them. Any sources of chakra that pass through the screen that will explode lose 1 exploding tag worth of explosive power.

~Booby Trap
D-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, focusing chakra on a 2mx2m area within 5m of their body. Anyone who steps on that area will have a surge of Denjiton move through them, causing a general muscle soreness in their legs like they had been working out all day. While it doesn't cause any stat debuffs, it can cause for awkward movements and making it easier to overpower someone. This lasts for the next 3 posts.

~Weak Cancel
D-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, then places their hand directly above a D-rank jutsu, cancelling out the chakra in the jutsu. Any physical aspects of the jutsu will remain by the chakra effects will no longer exist. This jutsu fails if used on a jutsu that is not D-rank.
C Rank:
~Shrink
C-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, then thrust their hands forward, creating a screen 5m x 5m in size anywhere within 10m of them. Any jutsu that passes through the screen loses 3 speed and 3 strength, and 1 exploding tag worth of power if it explodes.

~Clone Trap
C-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals then focuses chakra on a 4x4m area. If any clones pass through that area a surge of chakra will shoot up and cancel out the clone, and any effects it may have.

~Denjiton Gauntlets
C-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, creating gauntlets of denjiton chakra around their hands and forearms. The user can use their arms as shields, reducing the effect of jutsu they come in contact with (through the gauntlets) by one rank. This allows them to lessen the burns from katon jutsu, or easier to break out of suiton jutsu that capture them.

~Body Shock
C-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, and sends forth a pulse of denjiton chakra from their hands that travels at 10 speed at a range of 15 meters. Anyone caught in the denjiton pulse will have sudden full body muscle fatigue and a feeling of nausea and discomfort that lasts for 4 posts.
B Rank:
~Genjutsu Cancel
B-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, then places their finger to their forehead, charging Denjiton chakra throughout their entire bodies. The process is quick, and will cancel any B-rank or lower genjutsu they're currently afflicted by. This technique causes a -10 in Control and Ninjutsu for 5 posts after use, however, so it is advised against relying too heavily on it.

~Cancel Clone
B-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, then creates a clone out of chakra beside them. In addition to looking like the user, the clone has the special ability of disrupting an opponent's chakra system for 3 posts upon physical contact. This means that they are unable to cast ninjutsu or genjutsu during this time, however it also dissipates the clone. This clone lasts for up to 5 posts, and has the following stats:
  • Taijutsu: 7
  • Stamina: 4
  • Strength: 3
  • Speed:14

~Cancel Armament
B-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, and then coats a weapon they are holding in Denjiton chakra. This enables them to cancel out the chakra of B-rank and below jutsu that the weapon comes into contact with for the next four posts. It also lowers the control of those it strikes by 3 for three posts.
A Rank:
~Empty
A-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, then places a hand on the targets forehead, charging Denjiton chakra into their bodies. For the next 4 posts, the target's tenketsu will be stunned, preventing the flow of chakra. This prevents the target from using any chakra based effects for the duration of the effect. Another person utilizing Kai on the target will kick start their chakra and cancel out the effect, however.

~Cancellation Armor
A-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, placing their hand on their forehead and focusing chakra around their bodies. The chakra will form a thin, clear armor around their skin. For the next 5 posts, the armor will cancel out the effects of chakra that come in direct contact with their bodies. This allows them to break through barriers, protect themselves from ninpou effects, and otherwise act as a protection from indirect attacks. This armor only serves to cancel. A doton jutsu's chakra would be cancelled, but the blunt force of a rock slamming against them would remain.
Kushou-Ryou (Taijutsu)Show
Kushou:
Kushou-Ryu Soujutsu, or spear techniques, are a collection of Taijutsu techniques focussed around the use of polearms. The techniques can be used interchangeably for users of spears, staves, glaives and similar weapons. These techniques were developed by the military of the Holy City of Towers, rumoured to have been passed from the Holy Mother herself to the males of her land centuries ago. Those who wish to learn the secret techniques of the style must travel there and convince them to teach them. The style itself revolves around keeping the user’s weapon and body moving in order to manoeuvre around an opponent’s guard, or beat their way through it. Requires: [Polearm Weapons], [Deft Hands], [Lower Body]
D Rank:
* Kushou・The Viper Flicks its Tongue
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
This simple technique involves thrusting quickly with the user’s long weapon from a distance before quickly pulling back their polearm to prevent counters. This techniques most useful aspect is that it can be used while in motion without affecting speed or momentum.

* Kushou・The Courtier Taps his Fan
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
This simple technique involves proper use of the pole of the user’s weapon to deflect blows. By properly angling and manoeuvring their spear or staff they can deflect other like weapons, hand to hand blows or even sword blows by striking the right place at the right time, even while in motion.

* Kushou・Parting the Silk
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: * Kushou・Low Wind Rising
This simple technique involves engaging an opponent’s weapon or one of their arms and moving it slightly to one side with the user’s weapon. This creates a very small opening which the user then exploits by kicking the opponent, keeping their weapon guarding the opponent’s arms.

* Kushou・Low Wind Rising
D-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
The foundational stance of the Kushou style, Low Wind Rising involves the spinning of the user’s spear or polearm around their body constantly whilst remaining in motion. While in this stance, the user will be able to deflect projectiles with less strength than their own, while also making unpredictable movements of their spear.

* Kushou・The Swallow Takes Flight
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The user will vault themselves into the air using their polearm and then unleash a powerful blow from above. This technique is used to disorient and surprise foes as well as overpower them as it strikes with all of the user’s body weight and momentum from the spin they perform in the air in order to strike with the spear that was touching the ground moments before.
C Rank:
* Kushou・Folding the Fan
C-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite: [Sword Weapons] concentration
A supplementary stance of the Kushou style, Folding the fan involves pulling back the user’s polarm and using only a portion of its length in order to engage briefly in shorter range with opponents. This sacrifices the user’s range advantage, but also allows them to more properly deal with those who get inside their range. This allows the use of a polearm weapon like a sword weapon.

* Kushou・Twisting the Wind
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: * Kushou・Low Wind Rising
This is the core technique of the Kushou Style. The user will begin in the Low Wind Rising stance and then approaches their opponent. They will begin with a wide arcing blow to begin this combination of blows. Following this they will spin their polearm and their body as they follow their opponent across the battlefield, chasing them down as they block and evade. This technique takes the user’s entire post, and can strike a number of times equal to half their speed. Those who block more than one blow will suffer a -3 to Taijutsu for 3 posts as the weapon’s momentum and force jars their body.

* Kushou・The Swallow Rides the Wind
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: * Kushou・The Swallow Takes Flight
The user of this technique must first launch themselves high into the air as if with The Swallow Takes Flight. They will then begin to spin and unleash a flurry of blows from above. The user is capable of performing up to three strikes in the air, each of them prolonging the user’s airtime. The Swallow Rides the Wind is useful as it maintains the advantageous high ground and all of the forward momentum toward the opponent throughout all of its blows, giving the user an effective +6 Strength and -6 Taijutsu for the three blows.

* Kushou・Bundling Straw
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 15 Instinct
This technique is a kind of mental preparation for the constant movement and spinning involved in the Kushou style. This enables the user to gather snippets of vision, sounds and tactile sensory information in order to be properly aware of the battlefield around them whether standing still or in rapid circular motion. The user is effectively aware of their surroundings within Instinct/3m of their person, able to recognise when attacks are coming and the body positions of opponents.

* Kushou・Unfolding the Fan
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
While rare for a practitioner of Kushou-ryu to be on the defensive, this technique is designed to facilitate effective defence against other close ranged opponents. The user of this technique is constantly aware of distancing between the opponent and themselves, and therefore will aim all of their strikes to prevent the opponent from closing the gap using their long weapon. This will make it extremely difficult for those with less Taijutsu than them to get close to the user safely without somehow neutralising the user’s weapon.
B Rank:
* Kushou・The River Undercuts the Bank
B-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The user of this technique will first block an incoming strike. Then, they will almost immediately cease resisting, causing the opponent to fall forward slightly and lose their balance provided their taijutsu is lower than the users. This successfully created opening allows the user to raise the lower end of their weapon to strike from inside the opponent’s guard, typically at either the groin or the chin with full strength.

* Kushou・Watered Silk
B-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The user of this technique will strike the ground with one end of their weapon hard, dragging it in a line. This will fling a cloud of dirt, rock and dust up into their opponent’s eyes as if the user had thrown it. The use of one end of their weapon in this enables the immediate return of the opposite end for a follow up strike at either a blinded opponent or an opponent that is quite predictably dodging the debris.

* Kushou・Threading the Needle
B-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
After either blocking an opponent’s strike or having one of their strikes blocked, the user will flick their weapon. Using their great leverage and range to their advantage, the user is able to skilfully dart their weapon around the opponent’s existing guard for a quick thrust at their opponent providing their Taijutsu is greater than the opponent’s.
(Genjutsu)Show
D Rank:
*[Genjutsu • When Pigs Fly]
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
A rather simple genjutsu that is put into place when the user says a statement ending in "When Pigs Fly". Seconds later, anyone who hears the user say that will see several pigs with full hawk wings fly past, just a few feet above the user and the victim’s head, serving as a somewhat confusing distraction.

*[Genjutsu • Pins and Needles]
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
After performing the hand seals and pricking the opponent with some sort of small weapon (usually senbon), the opponent feels their arms and legs fall asleep. It feels as if the blood flow to these appendages has basically stopped, making their movements a tad sluggish and just all around uncomfortable. This jutsu doesn’t really hinder a person, but it makes everything they do feel off. For those who are attuned to the way their body feels during battle, it can be extremely distracting. Lasts 3 posts.

*[Genjutsu • Smell Of The Deceased]
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, any victim that sees the user preforming the hand seals will be induced under the genjutsu. This causes the target to begin to smell rotting flesh and decaying bodies. The jutsu can cause nausea and vomiting from the target, depending on how sensitive their sense of smell is. The smell of the dead can also cause some mental stress on the target. This genjutsu lasts for three (3) posts.

*[Genjutsu • Paranoid]
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then point indiscriminately. Should the target see the pointing motion, they'll be captured in this genjutsu. For the following 4 posts, the target will see a shadow in the corner of their eyes, constantly shifting out of view when they attempt to look at it.

*[Genjutsu • Boom!]
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then within the next post, snap their fingers. Anyone who hears the snapping will hear an explosion in the distance behind them. This works as an effective distraction, or a scare tactic, if properly utilized.
C Rank:
*[Genjutsu • Demonic Illusion • Hell Viewing]
C-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
This is a genjutsu technique that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The ninja will perform some hand seals and make eye contact with the target. Once cast, the world will appear normal to the target until they see the illusion. The illusion is at the discretion of the user. However, they can only make a stationary image, or a visual loop, not a controllable visual illusion. Examples would be a decapitated head on a table, or one of their friends running in circles on fire. This illusions may only last up to 4 posts, or until the user ends the jutsu themselves. As a note, this only effects sight.

*[Genjutsu • Burning to Death]
C-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
This is a genjutsu technique which can be used in quite a few ways. The user forms a hand seal, and as long as the opponent(s) see it, then the genjutsu will begin. The user and the opponent(s) will both light on fire and start to burn, from the feet up to the head, in the opponent's mind. The opponent will normally start to panic and try to get rid of the fire, especially since they feel as if they were in actual pain. This genjutsu lasts for 4 posts and will not appear to be able to be extinguished, no matter what the victim does. The illusion is very static, in the sense that it doesn't change with the environment, it merely creates an illusory flame and pain.

*[Genjutsu • Reverse Hypnosis]
C-Ranked Status Genjutsu
This is a three post genjutsu. To start the genjutsu, the ninja does the hand seals that are needed and then places a hand on the target. Until the genjutsu ends the target is able to remember a lot more about their past and has a lighter barrier over their consciousness making it easier for them to spill information. This doesn’t weaken their will, however, meaning if they are aware it’s a genjutsu, they are more than capable of using Kai.
B Rank:
*[Genjutsu • Calm]
B-Ranked Warp Genjutsu
The user does the needed hand seals, and then breaths out, expelling their breath onto their target. If successful, a 4 post long genjutsu will begin on the target. Over the course of the genjutsu, the target won't be able to feel any wind, and if it's raining, the rain will appear and feel like a light drizzle, regardless of how intense it really it. The target will also feel a sense of calm course through their body, as if all their senses have been slightly dulled, usually causing them to relax, be less stressed, and less inclined to combat. Originally created for the use of execution in combative prisoners, the technique now proves to be an effective method in combat to regain control of the battle field.

*[Genjutsu • Fear]
B-Ranked Status Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, the wink at their target. Should the target see them wink, they'll be caught in the genjutsu. For the next 4 posts, the target will have a sense of fear originating from the user and things they do. If the user takes a step forward, the target will be more inclined to take a step back, threats will have a higher efficacy, and they'll be more inclined to simply do what they can to avoid having to fight the user.

History
Historical AccountsShow
Takashi was born to parents who had been trying for a child for years with mostly unhappy results. As such he was raised without siblings, but spoiled, often referred to by his mother as her 'happy miracle'. And as a child he was quite happy, often spending much of his time trying to put smiles on the faces of anyone he met, even if it meant embarrassing himself in some way. This demeanor followed him into the academy, resulting him in having days where he was the class clan, and even days where he was the most dedicated of the students. Though sometimes impressed with him it wasn't uncommon for his teachers to lament that he often was more concerned with the people around him than his studies. But like many other shinobi before him, having a natural talent for things took him much of the way he needed to go in his education.

As a genin he quickly realized he could play multiple roles on the battlefield, though support was always his favorite whether with ninjutsu or genjutsu. When not with his team he spent much of his time with fellow clan mates, but the person he liked to spend most of his time with was a girl he met purely by chance in the marketplace one day. She had red hair that only served to entrance the young boy and she bore the name Shizura. He often spent time with her in the marketplace and the pair became rather notorious for the fact that when Takashi returned from a mission he often went straight to her so she knew he had returned in one piece. It was a tradition that would continue into their adult years.

As a chunin Takashi experienced his first loss, though it was not that of a teammate. His father was killed on mission and even Takashi had been away. By time he returned home his father was dead and buried, and his mother was in a bad way. It was then that Takashi took a short break from missions and even Shizura only saw him if she came by the home as he doted entirely on his mother and tried to bring back the smiling woman who had raised him. Yet it wasn't meant to be. Almost a year to the day after his father passed, his mother took her own life while Takashi was out getting groceries in the market with Shizura. Shizura had even been with him when he discovered his mother's body.

Yet to the surprise of many, Takashi went right back into missions after his mother's death. When asked he would often simply state "She's gone, there's nothing to be done for her now." And he would go right back to whatever he was doing.
Though Shizura noticed for at least a while that Takashi's own usually happy demeanor had diminished, that was something that wouldn't come back immediately.

As a special Jounin Takashi began to throw himself into his studies once more, and started looking to take more dangerous missions, much to Shizura's disappointment. The pair had officially started dating at this point, and Takashi still held to his traditions of coming home and going straight to her so that she knew how he was. Even if he was badly wounded he often sought her out before going to the hospital, a thing which quickly spurred the girl into learning Iijutsu herself.

However it was as a Jounin that things truly took a turn for the worse for Takashi. He and Shizura were sent on a mission together during the Kumo Civil War, but the mission went very badly for the pair. Both were captured, and tortured,
for information they never gave up. As part of the attempts to gain information, Shizura was killed horrifically in front of Takashi. Yet he never spilled a word, knowing Shizura would never have forgiven him, and would have rather died than seen him betray his village. Though he did not give up information, it was then that he learned more of why the war had happened in the first place. He learned who Nakajima Hayate had killed, he learned that he had gone MN himself awhile,
and by time Takashi escaped he learned the man had been placed as Raikage. Seeing this as a power grab, Takashi was enraged and did not return to the village. In his mind Hayate had started the war and bloodshed just to gain power in Kumo, that the man was solely responsible even for the death of Shizura, that the man was a traitor. Knowing this view could get him imprisoned in his own village he did not return, instead now seeks to find a way to gain his revenge from outside the village, silently planning the death of the Raikage himself for what Takashi sees as his crimes.
