Face/head: The only particular distinction individual's have noted on Harlequin's behalf has to be the unique color of his eye's. Green just like Jade radiated from his iris', only commonly seen within his family. Spending the majority of his time travelling, the man's silver hair often drapes in front of his eye's; lightly bouncing around with the rest of his ruffled up hair sculpted naturally by wind.
Though it's rather unlikey, Harlequin may wear his previous Sunagakure headband in order to stir confusion if attempting criminal activity; merely attempting to "push" the heat onto his previous homeland. Having strong disbeliefs in the Shinobi Law System, the man often masks his identity as a current member of the Sunagakure Military to cause conflict between countries.
Clothing/Accessories: Travelling through various countrys Harlequin seemed to develop a... Rather "complex" style of clothing, combining different articles of clothing together. In order to stay warm for his voyage to the Land of Waterfalls, the man purchased a crimson stained wolf pelt tailored into a jacket. With his left over funds, Harlequin decided to get another hide dyed black with his family's symbol stitched into the back; Creating a traveler's belt for his journey.
Though many might consider his style to be a "darker abstract;" Harlequin hand-picked beautiful gem's throughout the lands he had travelled, twining them into bright pendant's tied off the side of his black leather chaps fitting his legs snug. Having devoted their lives to mastering the art of taijutsu, this shinobi is classified as a Taijutsu Specialist. Taijutsu specialist are able to devote a total of 10 concentrations to taijutsu, unlike most people who are capped at 8. However, they are only able to devote a max of 5 concentrations to genjutsu, and a max of 5 concentrations to ninjutsu.
As a Taijutsu Specialist, Harlequin is able to utilize taijutsu concentrations reserved for specialists, and is able to enter the God Tier [45+] in Taijutsu,Control, Speed and Instinct; meanwhile the Shinobi is incapable of surpassing [39] in Ninjutsu, Stamina, Strength and Genjutsu.
PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAITS
General Information: "Intelligence is nothing to waver, for it's Harlequin's largest pawn in life. " If that dialogue didn't give any comprehension of this man' personality, perhaps you're just 'dull.' Though Logic and ideal's have to be prioritized in mandatory situations, life isn't meant to be lived in the slow lane; at least not in his eyes. Harlequin's bubbly attitude can either motivate any individual, that or drive them to insanity...
A firework is meant to explode, this Shinobi tries to live by that concept by being lively as possible; expressing his happiness and motives with the rest of the world. Though Harlequin's preconceptions of life aren't the loveliest, he doesn't see a need to allow that to portray his own personality.
Combat Mentality: Instinctive combativeness is Harlequin's concept of fighting, using his intelligence and perception alongside his enhanced attributes in Raiton and medical knowledge. Seeing how rare it is for him to lose his cool, the Shinobi often strategists two steps before reacting; with such tuition Harlequin understands the dire error of making a wrong move.
After year's of witnessing accidental injuries being a practitioner in Yoshin Style; the mere sight of a comrade being struct doesn't often phase the man. Having extensive knowledge in medicine, Harlequin is capable of telling whether or not an injury is fatal or not. Self inflicted blood loss however tends to make the Shinobi uneasy; having a small stature with little blood to begin with.
Harlequin often hesitates in battle without using stances to ignore his human instincts, without using a particular stance to combat this issue; it's unlikely to see the man jump straight into combat without any strategy. Having a large variety of techniques to choose from, he's capable of keeping mid-ranged distance if necessary. |

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will coat a weapon they are holding in Raiton electricity for 5 posts. This causes the shock effect to be produced on any contact with a target, while also granting blunt weapons the ability to cut through skin to produce shallow wounds. This also works for thrown weapons, however if the projectile remains out of contact with the user for more than 2 posts the technique will dissipate early.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will channel Raiton chakra to two of their fingers. They will then be able to fire up to three total bullet sized balls of concentrated lightning from their fingertips. These bullets will travel at 5 speed, but will not have any physical force. Instead, they will apply light electrical burns similar to a sun burn and will apply Raiton's shocking effect.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will create a two meter long rod of lightning in their hand. They are then able to launch it at 15 speed in a single direction. Upon contact the spear will explode with the force of a single explosive tag and apply the Raiton shocking effect. If it has not been launched by the end of the second post it will dissipate.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will seep Raiton chakra in an area around them with a 20m diameter. This will produce an electric current on the ground in this area visible as crackling lightning on the surface. Any other than the user who step into this zone will have the shocking effect applied and their legs will sustain first degree electrical burns. This current lasts 3 posts, while it ends immediately if the user leaves the area.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user emits a wave of electricity from their palm in a single direction. This is produced as a 10m wide line which extends 2m into the air and travels up to 25m from the user at 10 speed. The wave will apply the shocking effect and reduce the speed of any living thing it strikes by 5 points for 3 posts by electrically interfering with the brain's nervous signals.

The user will first perform the correct hand seals, and then fire a cone of lightning which begins at 5m wide closest to them and then 30m wide at the furthest point. The cone extends 40m from the user's body at a speed of 20. This cascade of lightning roars tremendously loud, and strikes all caught within it at 15 strength. Those caught in the blast will have their speed reduced by 5 points for 2 posts.

The user will first perform the correct hand seals before releasing a basketball sized orb of lightning 15m into the air. The orb will then cascade sheets of lightning down in the shape of a dome over the caster, with a 15m radius. This dome, apart from being exceptionally loud, forms a sort of protection against attacks. It comes into being at 20 speed, and is able to redirect hits of up to 20 strength in a downward direction. These sheets of lightning also serve as a visual obscurity. This technique lasts for up to 3 posts depending on the user's discretion.

After stepping up beside the target or sidestepping an attack from the target, the user utilizes a quick striking method, drawing a very firm slash across the side, ribcage or arm of the target. The user slashes with the intent to both injure and startle the opponent, hoping to catch them off guard and disrupt the flow of their attacks. Unlike many other Yoshin techs that focus on shallow cuts that flare up in pain, this particular technique is meant to dig as deep as possible, many times slashing into bones to cause as much long term damage as possible.

With a quick feint, the user quickly draws their sword up in an arc, aiming at a foe's eyes usually with intent to slash across their face and injure their eyes. The nature of the technique's movements make it easily read, prompting the target to avoid or dodge.

Using a quick striking method, the user of this technique quickly draws a very firm slash towards the hands of the target aimed towards the fingers or palm. The user slashed with the intent to injure the gripping portions of the opponent's hand to knock weapons free with the slash, though the attack itself is shallow. Typically the technique is only useful as a quick disarm method and unsuitable for long term disarming.

In this technique, the user switches from the typical critical blows to a more specialized 'swirl' pattern of slashing, which while much less effective in terms of damage, is useful in distraction. Wounds inflicted are patterned to flare up with pain when those muscle areas tighten, causing moves the opponent's make to recoil slightly on their bodies, the wounded areas acting as a detrimental pain in their actions.

The user will attempt to disarm a weapon in their opponent's hands by attacking the opponent's forearm with their blade. Whether by slashing or by stabbing, the damage this causes to the muscles and tendons in the forearm is usually enough to cause an opponent to drop whatever they are holding should the attack connect, while simultaneously lowering the target's strength by 3 due to the damage the muscles have sustained. This debuff lasts until the target receives medical attention to treat the wound.

Dropping down to one knee in front of a foe, the user performs a pair of quick slashes across the foe's shins. The user aims for a long nerve across the front of the shin to obstruct their movements. Striking the nerve can be detrimental to the opponent as the nerve is hard to 'miss', considering its size and the relative thin skin against the shin makes even grazes effective. Opponents struck by the effects of this technique suffer a spark of pain that drops the target's speed by 3, making it effective for retreating from a foe. This debuff lasts until the target receives medical attention to treat the wounds.

Focusing on a group of muscles along the opponent's torso, the user of this technique delivers a series of slashes while in movement. This produces a series of evenly spaced lines across the target's mid-section and sides. These cuts are not extremely damaging to the body, but the muscles targeted in that area aid in back and limb movement. Unable to fully draw power from their back or limbs, the target's Strength will reduce by 3 until proper medical attention is reached.

Ducking low and hooking their blade around the back of an opponent's ankle, the user draws a critical slice against the ankle's tendon, instantly shooting jolts of pain up the user's body. The pain causes even the slightest step to send shocks of pain through the nerve. Targets afflicted by this technique will lose 3 Speed until proper medical attention is reached.

By performing a series of well calculated and precisely aimed stabs or cuts at an opponent's body, the user aims to pierce or slash their blade into any nerve clusters they can properly target. Common targets for this technique are the front of the shoulders, underneath the armpits, the solar plexus, the forearms and the thighs. Striking any one of these areas can effectively result in incapacitation, temporary paralysis or total body shock by sending waves of intense pain through the nerves in the area. Generally speaking, a target with high pain tolerance can resist many of the effects this technique causes.

Unlike most of the Yoshin style, the user performs this technique with either a bare hand or the hilt of their sword. Users quickly smash their hand or object into the temple of the foe before retreating out of striking range. The placement of this blow sends a concussion throughout the entirety of the brain, causing dizziness and reduced focus. The target's Taijutsu drops by 4 and their instinct drops by 5 for 4 posts as the opponent tries to reorient themselves.

Quickly moving in close to a foe, the user lunges at a weak point of a foe's joints, such as under the shoulders through the armpit, into the elbow from the crook inside the arms, or behind the knees, etc, and slams the tip of their sword through it in an attempt to obliterate the functioning tendons and cartilage of the joint with any bones it can. This technique is severely debilitating, requiring an Iijutsu user to repair the damage, in some cases rendering the limb below the joint inoperable if a clean hit is delivered.[/spoiler]

After drawing a seal formula on a surface, appropriate in size to the weapon being sealed but no larger than 3x9 inches, the user forms the needed hand seals then may place as many of that singular object into the scroll as desired. When done, the user performs another set of hand seals and touches the seal closing it off as the seal condenses to the shape of the object stored. This seal is the only known sealing applications that allows depth storage and unfortunately this cannot be done at larger sizes. Tools can only be released at a maximum of 10 at a time, and are released with zero force.

After drawing an 2x5 inch seal formula on a surface the user forms the needed hand seals then touches the seal, arming it with their chakra. Upon being kai'd, the tag releases it's stored energy as a D-Rank Explosion of concussive force outward from itself.

By having an empty scroll with a seal formula placed on it, the user is able to use the seal as a defensive measure. Holding a single, one-handed hand seal, the user attempts to block the incoming small sized weapon (kunai or smaller) with the scroll. Right before contact is actually made, the weapon will be sealed into the seal. This seal cannot be used multiple times, and if the incoming projectile has more than 5 strength, it will overpower it, making the technique useless.

Developed for clandestine operations originally, instead of using ink and paper, the user draws a seal onto their body the size of the item they are sealing into their body. Upon doing a set of hand seals, the user then slides the item into the tattoo and performs a second seal, causing the seal to go dormant. When kai'd the seal releases the stored item.

[Weapon Dimensions:] The hilt of the blade is approximately six inches long; crafted from Sunuke wood with a silk saya wrapping. Meanwhile the Chakra Conducting Blade peaks at nine inches in length, the entire weapon being 15 inches long in total.
[Weapon Description:] Being crafted from refined steel, "Jonsokuna ejji" requires 15 strength in order to wield it efficiently; such a heavy mass is intended to assist the offensive ability of Harlequin's Sword. This straight edged Tonto made from Chakra absorbent steel has a ruby encrusted into the epicenter; capable of conducting Chakra with techniques such as "Flying Swallow, etc."
[Weapon Ability:] Within the encrusted Ruby lies a complex seal, capable of being activated via Chakra for two post's per thread; needing time to recharge. Whenever activated, a Shadow Clone replica of Harlequin is created containing quarter of his total stat value in each category (I.E: 20 Strength = 5 Strength.) This replica obliges by the same rules and guidelines as your standard Shadow Clone and will dissipate if struck by Strength of equal force to the clone.

Being beaten by his drunken Father at the end of what seemed like almost ever dispute, a caring family decided to take matters into their own hand; adopting Harlequin over child neglect. It took year's for the child to crack a smile, in time discovering the true joy's that life has to bring. Perhaps such a harsh uprising was destined for Harlequin in order to teach him instinctive traits; following with him for many year's to come.
To the least of many individuals surprise; Harlequin had enrolled in Iwagakure's Academy by the age of 8, becoming a Genin at the age of 12 years old. During the four years enrolling at the academy, teachers helped the boy discover his elemental traits; even successfully capable of using Lightning Release by the time of graduation. As time passed, Harlequin slowly began contemplating on why he even enrolled to begin with; little did he realize the severity of deciding to dedicate his life as a Shinobi...[/spoiler]
[spoiler=Genin (Arc II)]Graduating the Academy seemed like an accomplishment to Harlequin early into his Genin Day's, especially being one of the youngest within his class; unfortunately fate had other motives to teach the Shinobi of how wretched common mistakes may be in dire situations. Ignorance thrived through the young during their time within the Academy; merely discovering the fundamental's of Ninjutsu. It wasn't until Harlequin's third mission he discovered what a dark and misleading corrupt system Shinobi Law truly is...
This particular mission hadn't been thoroughly assessed; under looking the requisites for ranking. Such a simple mistake lead to the death's of his comrades before Harlequin's innocent eyes. A group of which was supposed to be a mere pitiful bandits turned out to be a vanguard of missing ninja, easily outnumbering the inexperienced squadron. Prepared to give his life, Harlequin was thankfully sparred after witnessing a tragedy so horrific; the boy couldn't move a single muscle. Whether it was pity or perhaps even the mere desire for Harlequin to develop a vendetta, the memories of that day stained into his eye's; contemplating why Shinobi even give their lives to begin with.
After being transferred into a new Squadron, Harlequin's arrogance towards his selected profession died along with his previous comrades; redefining his life around the aspect of instinctive intuition rather than the teaching's of Shinobi. This was the beginning to the boy's long dwelling content of one day destroying the Shinobi System for what it was; nothing more than a masochistic selfish act to prove power and distribute immoral teachings resulting in that fateful day. [spoiler=Chuunin (Arc III)]Proving his potential within the Shinobi Rankings, Harlequin was promoted to Chuunin by the age of 14; however he didn't feel any emotional connection towards the mere entitlement. Whether Harlequin was running daily errands, on a tedious mission; thoughts of the concept of "Shinobi Way" pondered within him. It wasn't until he learned about the harsh reality of Iwagakure's "Slavery" that slowly drove the man in time to insanity.
Though the nation doesn't necessarily "hide" their intent with slaves, Harlequin's mindset on it was absolutely boggled. Higher authority of the land insisted on giving slaves "mere rights" in return for their hard work, often seen in the steel factories manufacturing weapons. This appalled Harlequin, astonished that individual's would merely sit by as human life is entitled to "masters;" some even learning to enjoy a lifestyle comparable to an animal's. It wasn't any more clear that something had to be done about the corrupt System; surely happening world-wide.
Having new aspirations, Harlequin was motivated to focus primarily on his ability in Taijutsu. Each day and night consisted of a near death-defying routine, only ever resting for meals and sleep. In the first year, his squadron was astonished with his transformation; developing a well-toned stature alongside his new profound art in swords and Iaido. As the Chuunin reached fifteen, he was promoted yet again to Special Jounin; understanding it's time to create his own path in life.[/spoiler]
[spoiler=Spec Jounin (Arc IV)]Leaving the country seemed to be inevitable; no matter his potential, Harlequin pondered on consistent dreams of freedom. After being merely laughed at in request to visit the nation's on his own means, ideas of conspiring a revolution lead the man to absolute insanity; realizing the only means of escape from the ever living nightmare is to desert Iwagakure after his graduation ceremony.
Days after graduation, Harlequin started his tedious packing; gathering supplies and clothing necessary for the voyage. Thought's of turning back consistently pondered in the back of his head realizing the severity of the crime he would commit. Contemplation quickly turned to depression, feeling the tensity of the situation go from a dream to mere reality. Harlequin was destined to restore a new system of peace to the world; therefore he couldn't allow his own emotion's to change the course of his destiny.
Harlequin successfully traveled from Iwagakure no Sato to the peak of the south eastern border after several weeks of his laborious journey, deciding to take refuge in the Land of Waterfalls. Though, that time compared to the three year's inhabiting the minor country might seem pitiful. Harlequin has spent his time exploring the country, learning the infamous Yoshin Style through dojo's in various towns. Achieving tranquility through meditation, the Shinobi's control has dramatically increased; along with his physical stature through his training in attempts to learn the "Ki Sabre Style."[/spoiler]
