[Clan] Takiyasha

Children of Takiyasha
A sip to kiss the sky, a drink to jump over the moon.

General Information

Type: Clan
Country: River
Size: Small (Scattered individuals)
Traits: Almost immediately recognizable by hairs in shades of green ranging from almost black to nearly turquoise, those who have the Numakon Trait do not quite fit in physically with normal society. Members of the clan tend to be either incredibly short (as small as 3 feet tall) or incredibly tall (sometimes upwards of seven feet tall), with very little in between. Eye colors tend to be either a green or brown, and their skin tends to be fairly pale. More strange physical features tend to plague the clan as well, such as overly long limbs, for their heights, as well as webbed fingers and toes .
Traditions: The Numakon trait that inhabits members of this clan tends to be primarily recessive, families can carry the gene for generations before it rears its head in the form of a child. Because of this, the owners of this trait are less of a 'family' and more of a rare mutation, and often don't share the name 'Takiyasha' unless the parents decide it to be so. The otherwise accepting nature of River Country makes this not much of a problem in terms of integrating with society, but those who leave their home country will often find themselves ostracized as strangers and freaks.
History Ancient stories of a woman who took the name Takiyasha-Hime circulate throughout River Country, who reclaimed her throne from a powerful despot with the aid of powerful frog spirits that she commanded with an iron will, bonding with them to become one of the first users of ninjutsu. It is believed that this is where the start of the clan began, as she took one of the spirits as her husband, and ruled over the ancient land that is now known as the Land of Rivers and Streams. Her dynasty's fall from grace is less well known, however, as records of such things were lost to time, and now only believed to be stories by most. The lineage still carries on thanks to the Numakon trait, however, and the story of her existence grows with the birth of every Takiyasha.

Samurai Information
Kekkei Genkai:
Numakon
The Numakon trait is a rare ability found once every several generations in people all across river country. The ability itself is said to be the result of fornication with swamp spirits, though the actual causes are unknown. The ability itself provides its owners with a long, prehensile tongue (roughly three feet in length) that functions as an extra limb, stronger than average legs which allow them to jump twice the height and/or distance their strength would indicate, along with sticky saliva that is produced in copious amounts thanks to incredibly active saliva glands, which grows more powerful with age and use, primarily dependent on their Endurance to determine its strength. Skilled Children of Takiyasha have also been known to channel their frog genes outwards in strange and esoteric ways.

Perfect Crime
D-rank Taijutsu Manuever
By quickly spitting out their tongue and sucking it back in, the clan member can grab hold of small objects up to the size of a small scroll, and hide it within their mouths, able to speak/act normally while it is there without ruining the object.

Spot on Spit
D-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Thanks to their excessively dexterous and powerful tongue, the clan member has learned to work the spit in their mouth, aim, and shoot it towards targets with great distance, speed, and precision. The distance that this spit can fly with the aid of this technique is [Strength+Taijutsu]/2. The speed at which it flies with the aid of this technique is [Speed+Taijutsu]/2. This allows them to put out one glob of spit per post, and a single glob of spit is enough to cover a 1mx1m area. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the spit, it has an impact strength of 1 regardless of speed or distance traveled.

D-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Prerequisite: Spot on Spit
By toying with the saliva in their mouth for a full post, the user forcefully hardens it after a full post. Normal actions and maneuvers may be performed in this time, but their mouth and tongue will be otherwise occupied. Once the saliva has hardened in the center, though still partially liquid on the outside, the user can spit it out following the rules of Spot on Spit in terms of speed and distance traveled. Because the saliva is hard for this jutsu, it impacts with a blunt force equal to [saliva strength+taijutsu+strength/3].

Wall Climber
D-rank Taijutsu Manuever
By applying a small amount of their special saliva to their hands and/or feet, the clan member can stick their palms and feet to objects such as walls and climb them with relative ease and little fear of falling.

Lockpicker
D-rank Taijutsu Manuever
By rolling their saliva in their mouth until it's almost hardened, the clan member can spit into a lock. The saliva will ooze into the locking mechanism, and the parts it seeps into will harden first after just a moment or two. Using this, the lock can be opened with a quick twist of the saliva outside of the lock. This does, however, ruin the lock, making it unable to be opened up by a key ever again.

Hunting Javelin
C-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Prerequisite: Spot on Spit
By toying with the saliva in their mouth for most of a post, and slowly drooling it out for the remainder, the user forcefully hardens it after a full post. Normal actions and maneuvers may be performed in this time, but their mouth and tongue will be otherwise occupied. Once the saliva has hardened in the center, though still partially liquid on the outside, the user can spit it out following the rules of Spot on Spit in terms of speed and distance traveled. Because the saliva is hard for this jutsu, it impacts with a piercing force equal to [saliva strength+taijutsu+strength/3].

Connecting Conundrum
C-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Having learned to master their incredibly sticky spit, the user can spit, leaving a string of saliva to their mouth, and then spit again at another object, connecting the two. The saliva will continue to stretch and connect the two objects up to the saliva's strength in meters.

Raucous Reel
C-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Further mastering their odd saliva, the user can spit, leaving a string of saliva connecting to his mouth, and then suck in with force, pulling the object towards him at a speed equal to the saliva's strength.

Weapon Maker
C-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Working their spit in their mouths, the clan member can spit out vaguely weapon shaped objects that function the same as their parent weapons. Using this technique, the user can spit up to one sword sized object out, 5 knife sized objects, or 15 senbon sized objects. Weapons produced this way will still have the sticky properties of their creators saliva.

Rainy Season
B-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Forming a large glob of their saliva in their mouths, the user will spit with their mouths mostly shut. This creates a spray of their saliva in an area around them with a diameter of [strength+taijutsu] in meters, raining down from the sky like a sprinkler, and soaking just about anything in that area in the members saliva.

Bubble Shower
B-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Forming an "O" shape with their mouths, and blowing out while pushing their spit with it, the clan member creates a spray of hundreds of bubbles that float through the air in the direction they're facing at a speed of [taijutsu+strength/3]. When these bubbles pop on an object, they cover an approximate 1 inch radius circle each. The bubbles will pop on their own after 4 posts if left to their own devices.

Brachiation
B-rank Taijutsu Discipline
Having gained extreme mastery over their tongues, the clan members can use them to grab onto things and swing around like they were ropes or vines designed to do just that, leaving their hands and feet open in the midst of this movement pattern.

Complete Arsenal
A-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Working their spit in their mouths, the clan member can spit out vaguely weapon shaped objects that function the same as their parent weapons. Using this technique, the user can spit as many weapons as they want in relatively rapid succession, up to the size of your average Odachi. These weapons will retain the sticky properties of their owners' saliva.

Big Blowout
A-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Similar to Bubble Shower, the user will begin to blow bubbles, but this time instead of creating multiple small ones, a single gigantic one will form, slowly generating over the course of a full post, until it is about a 30m diameter sphere. As it frees itself from the clan members mouth, it can be quickly blown in a singular direction, moving at a speed equal to the users [taijutsu+strength/4]. On impact, it will explode with a mighty popping sound, and cover whatever it touches in an excessive amount of saliva, all in all coating up to 200m in saliva.

Takiyasha-Hime's Divine Rain
S-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Similar to Rainy Season, the user will start by forming a large glob of their saliva in their mouths, the user will spit with their mouths mostly shut. This creates a spray of their saliva in an area around them with a diameter of [strength+taijutsux2] in meters, raining down from the sky like a sprinkler, and soaking just about anything in that area in the members saliva.
Ninjutsu SamplesShow
Instant Harden
D-rank Ninjutsu
With a single handseal, the clan member will instantly harden any of their saliva they choose up to 20 + (Control/2) meters away, leaving it with the same strength as when it was wet.

Instant Release
D-rank Ninjutsu
With a single handseal, the clan member will instantly powderize any of their saliva they choose up to 20 + (Control/2) meters away.

Special Tracker
C-rank Ninjutsu
By sitting down, performing a series of handseals, and concentrating on some of their saliva, clan members can track it theoretically anywhere across the known lands. Saliva within 50m will be pinpointed exactly, saliva within 1km will be given a good general direction, while anything further away than that simply provides a generic cardinal direction to follow.
