  • Face/head: Miyako has incredibly soft, feminine facial features with large purple eyes with a jewel-like sparkle, surrounded by long thick lashes, this all accompanied by long black hair that falls down to her mid-back.
  • Body: While lacking in height, being a bit pale, and not possessing much in the way of actual muscle tone, Miyako is a strikingly curvaceous woman with long supple limbs and mostly unblemished skin.
  • Notable Features:Just underneath her right breast is a fairly grotesque, jagged scar left from a near fatal stab wound
Clothing/Accessories: Miyako's primary outfit consists of a low-cut black dress with long wide sleeves, the dress itself falling nearly to her ankles and having a slit up the entire left leg, overall being designed and worn to be flexible and easy to move in while also being easily removed should the need ever arise. Along with this is a veil of sorts and a complete lack of footwear.

  • General: Miyako, despite her circumstances is a very friendly, emotionally charged young woman who wears her heart on her sleeve, having a tendency to speak bluntly and seeming to be lacking any concept of personal boundaries, preferring to get up close and personal with those that she's grown to care about, this going along with a great degree of cunning, though some would rather call her manipulative, and an ability to quickly adapt to near any situation that she finds herself in.
  • Hopes/Dreams: While she's unsure if it would really qualify as a dream, her main hope at the moment is simply to repay the favor owed to her saviors, to bring a sense of unity and peace to the world.
  • Fears: She has a great fear of failing in her newfound duty.
  • Combat Mentality:Being naturally adaptable as well as having a fairly versatile skillset, Miyako never fully relies on any one method of combat, though she typically starts out fights at a range, making use of her bow as she studies her opponent, switching things up only once an appropriate opportunity arises.

This means if someone punched a 20 strength fuuton wall, they would get cuts on their hand applied with 10 strength. By releasing two projectiles back to back the user attempts to create a decoy for the second. The first projectile is often larger or of equal size and the second is slightly behind and below it, usually attempting to hide in the first’s shadow. This masks the attack to some degree. However, perceptive opponents who have an instinct greater than the user’s tai may be able to see through the charade, provided they have means to do so.

By adding a spin to the weapon before it is launched the user is able to give the it a warping motion as it flies through the air. With much practice, the user is able to predict the weapon’s shifting motion and aim accordingly. This can be used to hit a target that is hiding behind another person or object, and is especially useful against a human shield.

The practitioner knows their own reliance on ammunition thus emphasizes never being caught without. With the right technique they are fully capable of launching nearly anything, so long as it possesses at least the mass of a standard kunai, they could otherwise throw or shoot as if it were designed to do so in the first place. Unfortunately, this has an impact on the strength of the impact in the form of a -3 strength.

The user is adept at following targets they may not be able to see. By using their other senses they can loose attacks at targets that may be behind, above, to their sides, or even behind terrain without sacrificing any accuracy. The practitioner is able to launch a projectile in the direct path of an oncoming solid mass attack. This projectile carries with it the full force of the one who launched it and is intended to deflect or destroy the attack before it comes near them. The user’s stats must be capable of tracking and intercepting the attack as well as deflecting it.

Having advanced in their arts the practitioner is able to launch projectiles from inconceivable positions. Having surpassed even the masters of ranged combat the adept is capable of calculating all outside factors before releasing their shot. Ambient factors such as temperature, winds, moisture, water and even total blindness to their target can not waive their aim. So long as they have a means of detection and nothing is in their path that can’t be forced through or gone around they will hit their mark every time. Living targets must have a (speed+tai)/2 higher than the adepts (tai+instinct)/2 to dodge the adepts attacks without having another form of defense.

Toryu Kenjutsu:
Toryu Kenjutsu is a sword style originating from the Land of Pebbles that focuses on not just performing kenjutsu but also weaving close quarters style taijutsu into the bladework. Toryu's specialty is not only learning to capably slash a sword with one hand but also learning to use the hands, joints, legs and even the head to make frighteningly dangerous close quarters fighters. An inelegant style, it is commonly associated with the more 'rough' samurai but in truth it's reliance on two opposing impulses and control of the body makes it one of the more difficult Kenjutsu styles to learn. While usable with most blades, experienced fighters often prefer wakizashi, ninjato and even tanto daggers instead of katana for increased mobility.

The signature stance of the style, Close Quarters teaches users of this style how to rapidly change the angle, position and even grip of their weapon without moving their hand from it's signature position at the user's waist for maximum versatility. Users of this style often assume a one foot forward, one back, slightly swayed stance to free up movement as well at the expense of leaving their center open.

A basic technique of the style wherein the user moves in for a basic lunge-thrust with their weapon, only to turn in mid thrust and attempt to sweep their leg under the opponent's own. This tends to be useful as a basic feint and can usually knock down those with less strength than the user who get caught by it.

After rushing in on a foe and initiating an attack the user waits for the opponent to guard, either with arm or weapon, before quickly lashing out with their hand or pommel of their blade and attempting to smash the guarding hand or arm aside with a wrist smash. The pain as well as damage can interrupt the guard of opponents, leaving them wide open for the initial attack to hit.

A dangerous close quarters 'option closer', the Toryu user will sweep in close and try to slam their foot down on an opponent's as well as quickly sweep their arm around the opponent's to lock their elbow with the user's own. This technique is usually utilized for setting up blows or blocking off the weapons of dual-wielding foes and it forces the opponent to break out of the move before counter-attacking.

The user of this technique will attempt to block the blow of his opponent with his blade, relying heavily on the durability of their weapon and their own strength to resist the strength of the opponent's attack. Should they be successful, the user will follow up with a swift kick to the target's chest or stomach to push them away and stun them, then follow up with a quick stab to the chest or stomach.

A potent close quarters move that is performed by rushing at a foe and attempting to jump onto the opponent's shoulders. Then, assuming they land, the user shifts their weight in an attempt to unbalance the victim. If performed correctly on an opponent with 10 or less strength who cannot compensate for the weight and momentum it causes them to tip back or go off balance, setting up for a secondary slash or stab at their now exposed head or torso.

One of the more utilized techniques in the arsenal of the style, it involves the shifting of offense and defense, specifically utilizing the sword as a defensive weapon and the hand as the main weapon; by blocking far off the center of the clash (to the side, above, below), the user opens up an opposing swordsman or weapon specialist to punches, quick closes and even more complicated maneuvers simply by forcing their sword back for a moment. The downside of course is it lessens the overall effectiveness of the sword.

During close quarters or after engaging a foe via a rush, the user quickly forces themselves back as they divert body weight downwards typically causing a quick and controllable slide under the opponent's field of control, usually between the legs or to the side. During this slide the user attempts slashes, stabs or even hooks or drags the opponent down with them to open up for more techniques or just deal considerable damage.

Many of the Toryu techniques would put the user in incredibly daring positions where a single mistake could instantly spell disaster for the swordsman. As a result, Toryu practitioners must train themselves constantly to avoid letting their fears distract them from their task. A user with this technique has learned to shut out fear in the heat of combat, allowing them to perform their death defying attacks without the risk of failure due to fear responses.

The user quickly dashes into an opponent's range while delivering a quick knee strike to the target's solar plexus in an attempt to stagger the opponent. The aim is to get the target to lean forward while holding their gut, opening up the many vulnerable areas of the back, neck and skull to various possible finishing moves.

After doing the needed hand seals, the user creates a small vortex of Fuuton chakra around a projectile in their hand that spins with a strength of 5. This causes the projectile to corkscrew through the air, allowing it to travel an extra 10m and applying the Fuuton passive when thrown. This doesn't make the projectile any faster, only increases its range and ability to cut.

After doing the needed hand seals, the user gathers wind around their feet. Then, the user will use the wind to blast them from the ground, enabling them to leap into the air an extra 10 meters at 3 extra speed. The user also has 3 less Taijutsu until they once again touch the ground. Those with less than 5 Taijutsu (after deduction) will stumble and fall when trying to land. The Fuuton passive is not applied in this technique.

*Fuuton • Wind Skating
D-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
After performing the needed hand seals, the user is able to glide on air as if they were skating on ice. This allows them to move faster (+3 speed) but lowers their accuracy and agility (-3 Taijutsu). This doesn't allow them to fly, but rather to travel over things like land, water, and ice with greater ease. The user is only held several inches off of the ground. This Jutsu does not expire until the user’s chakra supply runs out or the user shuts it off. The fuuton passive is not applied in this technique.

D-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
After performing the needed hand seals, the user covers a projectile they are holding in fuuton empowered wind. Then, when the weapon has been thrown as normal, the user is able to change it's direction by up to 90 degrees once with no drop in momentum on the projectiles part. This technique only lasts one post.

After performing the required hand seals, the user expels a basket ball sized ball of wind from their mouth. This ball of wind travels up to 20m at 5 speed, and explodes with the strength of a single explosive tag on contact with solid matter or at the end of its range.

C-Ranked

*Fuuton • Great Breakthrough
C-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
By performing the needed hand seals and bringing their hands to their mouth, the user can release a wide blast of air. This wave of air moves outward in a cone shape with a 15m width at the end of the cone and moves with a speed of 10. Once it makes contact with a substance, the wind both cuts at it and pushes it away with 10 strength. This blast goes out for a maximum of thirty feet if it doesn't hit anything, where it will dissipate into the surrounding air.

After forming the necessary hand seals, the user will thrust their hands forward as a vortex of wind blasts through with a speed of 10. The vortex's direction can be controlled with a Control stat of at least 15. The control, however, is limited; it can only be moved in a 45 degree angle, up to three times. A hit from this vortex packs a large push back force, though the person can avoid being pushed back with a strength of 5 or greater. Control of this Jutsu fades after two posts and spans an area 3m wide and up to 20m in length. Direct hits result in long but shallow cuts on the victim's body, covering the whole radius of the techniques point of contact, no deeper than half an inch.

After forming the necessary hand seals, the user coats their weapon in a vortex of wind. This extends the weapon's range by 1m while not adding anything to its weight for 5 posts. It also causes the weapon to gain an edge as sharp as your average sword. This also applies the fuuton passive with a strength of 10 on contact with an opponent.

After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will create a clone out of their fuuton chakra. This clone will be able to act entirely independently of the user for 5 posts before dissipating, with physical capabilities equal to the stats listed below. This clone applies the fuuton passive to enemies it touches.

C-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
The user will first perform the required hand seals and then gather wind around an opponent. This will form a tornado around them at a speed of 12 which extends 10m into the air and has a radius of 3m. The tornado will push back anything that touches it with a strength of 8, while also cutting at whatever tries to push through as well as a kunai would with the same strength. This technique lasts for 4 posts.

B-Ranked

B-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
After making the required hand seals, the user will focus chakra into their mouth. They will release the wind chakra as a large sphere with a 10m radius at 20 speed, which has a maximum range of 50m. Should the target be hit within the first 30m, the attack will inflict the maximum amount of damage, causing an explosive force equivalent to 4 explosive tags, spreading cutting winds capable of slicing close to the bone over the same area. Should they be struck in the last 20m, it will only apply 3 explosive tags worth of force and range.

B-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
Prerequisite: Some kind of Fan
After completing the needed hand seals, the user imbues their fan with chakra and waves it, launching multiple gusts of wind at an opponent at a speed of 20. If the opponent cannot escape in time then the winds will circle them and rise into a tornado that continuously cuts the victim trapped inside. This will cause moderate to serious injuries depending on how long the victim remains trapped inside. This has a max range of thirty feet and the trapped victim can escape with a strength of 20 or higher. This Jutsu lasts a maximum of 3 posts and is 5 strength weaker for each consecutive post.

B-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
After performing the required hand seals, the user stirs a great amount of wind around their person. A tornado with a 10m radius will form around them at 20 speed, extending up to 30m in the air. This wall of wind is perfect for defence or trapping an opponent in an enclosed area. Anything that tries to pass through the winds will be sliced viciously with 20 strength blades of wind as sharp as katana blades. This technique lasts for 4 posts, unless released earlier.

A-Ranked

*Fuuton • Flying Swallow
A-Ranked Fuuton Nintaijutsu
Prerequisite: Sharp Weapon
Focusing wind type chakra to his or her blades, the user of this technique is able to enhance the sharp quality of their wind-element chakra, invisibly extending the reach of the weapon by up to 1.5m. The cutting edge given to the weapon has a strength of 25. This technique lasts for 3 posts.

Miyako was born as an only child into a fairly ordinary family within Sunagakure, her parents both being chuunin shinobi. From a young age Witshe proved to have a very healthy curiosity, spending a lot of time reading and she was even sociable as well, oftentimes visiting different areas around the village simply to learn about the daily going ons of the people within. This nature even spread to her interactions with her parents, spending time with them whenever possible and wanting to learn everything she could about themselves and their duties as shinobi.

Years passed and it soon came time for her to enter the academy herself and she excelled both socially and academically, easily making friends with her classmates and greatly impressing her teachers with her ability to adapt to different scenarios, performing well in all areas though excelling in none, however it seemed that while she didn't entirely lack the ability to utilize it, the one area she would prove to struggle in would be Genjutsu.

And so her time in the academy quicky passed by and she soon became a Genin, her tendencies leading to her training in a variety of different styles and techniques, the young girl quickly finding that she had no real preference as to what skillset she should pursue farther, as such deciding to become a jack of all trades, her mentor luckily being willing and able to help her in that pursuit, though she was warned that her approach could lead to trouble when up against specialists.

As to be expected, it was also during this time that she began going on missions, simple things like finding lost animals or making emergency deliveries and the like, often finding herself pairing with a number of different partners over the next couple of years.

Soon enough it came time for the chuunin exam, the now 15 year old Miyako put up against a girl whom she would soon find was just like her, a jack of all trades, having a lot of the same skills as well. Unfortunately, this meant that the pair were fairly evenly matched, though Miyako herself would remember it being a fairly enjoyable fight. But regardless, Miyako eventually was able to gain the upper hand, dodging a kick and following it up with a strong blow of her own, knocking her opponent off balance and allowing her to ultimately win the bout, though both combatants would soon find themselves promoted to Chuunin for the skills and general prowess that they had shown.

As a chuunin, Miyako found herself training harder than ever to keep up with the fact that she had gained more responsibilities and was going on increasingly difficult missions, and while she didn't yet know it, one mission in particular would have a great impact on her future. She and a partner had been sent off on a mission to escort a group of traders across the border of wind country and drop them off at a village in a country to the south. It was a long exhausting trip, though it had been mostly safe until they arrived at their destination, finding the small village ransacked by bandits, the perpetrators next turning their gaze onto the tired group. Somehow Miyako and her partner managed to fend off the bandits, Miyako feeling a sense of sadness as she looked over the ruined village, its people scared and helpless. Why had they not heard anything about this back at the village? If they had been told then they would have moved faster.

Anyways, their mission complete, the pair of shinobi returned home, doubt beginning to eat at Miyako's heart all the while.

Several more years passed and Miyako found herself promoted to Special Jounin and then Jounin. And it was with her promotion to Jounin that Miyako and two others were sent out on a mission to hunt down a missing nin whom had left the village several years earlier. It took quite some time but eventually the group found their quarry traveling through a thickly wooded area, their opponent making use of the area to defeat the group with relative ease, killing her partners and leaving Miyako herself on the brink, the young woman having fainted from the severe wound inflicted on her.

Feeling that death would naturally take its course and that it was best to now flee, the woman they had been hunting quickly left the area, a young girl from a nearby village arriving not soon after, spotting the unconscious Miyako and running for help.

Some time later, Miyako awoke finding that the young girl, named Ayaka, and her family had patched up her wounds, effectively saving her life. The situation was frankly confusing but nonetheless she did as she was told and stayed put, feeling a mix of gratitude and massive guilt. She was not only the sole survivor of the hunting team but as well as that she had failed in her mission and would have died herself if not for these people making use of their very limited resources to save her. They had saved her.. a shinobi, when the major villages didn't seem to give a damn about anything or anyone outside of their own walls, only electing to help when there was money and reputation involved.

And so it was at that moment that she made a vow.. that she would do everything she could to not only repay her saviors but to end village tyranny, to bring unity to the world. She would make the villages see that there was a world and people outside of their own walls that needed their help, no matter what.
