The Forge
"Life's a forge! Yes, and hammer and anvil, too! You'll be roasted, smelted, and pounded, and you'll scarce know what's happening to you. But stand boldly to it! Metal's worthless till it's shaped and tempered! More labor than luck. Face the pounding, don't fear the proving; and you'll stand well against any hammer and anvil."
Gods Among Men

Type of Organization: Central Org

Location of the Organization's Main Base: Sanrou, Iron Country

Description of the Organization: The development arm of Iron Country, 'The Forge' is the direct work of Mistaki, Shio to expand Iron Country and make it a more viable world superpower. Much of the focus of the Forge is shaping talent into agents of the country, allowing them to extend it's influence beyond the borders. Secondary to this, The Forge is responsible for covert weapons development, which have long not been a priority for Iron Country. Finally, the Forge is the body that Shio uses to represent the country in international affairs, including the development of a internationally recognized military village. Due to the purpose of Iron Country, Sanrou is recognized as a military power but is distinct from the recognition of the Grand Five. The Forge is meant to be the body that will empower Iron Country to bring it forward into being officially recognized as a military village and acknowledged alongside the Grand Five.
Kemurigakure no Sato The shinobi village created by the Forge, Kemurigakure acts as the special operations command center for Iron Country. Samurai selected to train at Kemurigakure are equitable to shinobi, they learn how to manipulate chakra, are taught highly specialized skillsets, and are meant to reproduce, counter, and infiltrate shinobi units. In contrast to the anti-shinobi talents of samurai, Kemurigakure produces shinobi, allowing them to counter shinobi with shinobi-based skills, rather than samurai based ones. This makes them highly efficient as countering units that utilize things like fuuinjutsu, genjutsu, or hyper-specialized kekkei genkai.

While many people like within Kemurigakure, almost everyone living there is a shinobi or trained in shinobi arts. Much like how Iron Country is a society of samurai, Kemurigakure is a society of shinobi. Virtually everyone within the village is capable of operating as a fully realized shinobi in a tactical unit. One of the most notable attributes of Kemurigakure is the effect of the indigenous Locust species that is controlled by the Taishou. The swarm radiates chakra that forcibly induces a [Euphoric] state in everyone around them. Visitors to Seikoujo note how happy, relaxed, and comfortable they feel when nearing and entering the village. Residents of Kemurigakure are trained in how to stave off this sensation, but visitors often do not understand it. Every resident of Kemurigakure is given equipment that hides their chakra from sensors, making non-residents highly noticeable to the society of sensors.
Requirements of the Organization: Non-Citizens of Iron are given a token that recognizes their belonging to The Forge. Which grants them free passage in and out of Iron Country - as well as security should they need a place to hide out.
New members of Iron Country meant to work out of Kemurigakure are encouraged to give 20 ryo to the organization at startup, giving them access to the [Rice Sun Hat] and all jutsu obtainable via the Forge.

Organization's Jutsu & Equipment
Weapons & Equipment : (113/150)Show
Rice Sun Hat (62):
Developed by The Forge, the Rice Sun Hat is a specially crafted sun hat made by experts in Sanrou. The hat is roughly 1m across, and has [50 Strength], making it incredibly durable. Additionally, the hat has a blade within its rim, that can be manually pulled out, or will forcibly come out when the hat is spun at at least 10 speed. There is no mechanism to force the blade out otherwise. The most important aspect of the hat is that when worn, it masks the wearer’s chakra signature, reducing them to appear as a normal civilian in strength, without any information being able to be drawn from their chakra via sensory techniques.
Detemper Blade (51):
Detemper Blade
A standard katana crafted by The Forge, roughly 80cm in length with a short two handed hilt. After the standard forging process is applied to the blade and it is tempered, a second metal is then forged to be applied to only the blade edge of the weapon. This second metal is highly reactive to the tempering process, and when comes it comes in contact with tempered weapons, it removes their tempering, reducing them to their default strength. This allows the samurai to (very often) easily destroy most weapons used to defend against them, quickly disarming their opponents.
JutsuShow
[Temperament]
E-rank Ninjutsu
Doing a single hand seal, the user is able to regulate their intake of Sage Chakra, allowing them to reap the benefits of Sage Chakra without suffering the [Euphoric] effect. This technique is very easy to maintain and can be maintained without effort, or while utilizing other jutsu.

[Off]
D-rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: Temperament
Doing a single hand seal, the user is able to turn off their chakra sensory, regardless if they have the [Sensory] concentration or not.

[Mute]
D-rank Ninjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then release a pulse of chakra resulting in a barrier forming around them in a 15m radius. No sound from outside the barrier will be able to enter it, and everything will be silent within the barrier. The barrier has [Control] strength, however it is permeable and can be passed through with minor pressure without breaking it, meaning it must be broken with intentionality.

[Chakra Sword]
D-rank Ninjutsu
All the shinobi of Kemurigakure no Sato are also samurai, and are highly skilled with the use of swords. Should they ever be without one, these shinobi are able to generate a sword of chakra with [Control] strength at [Control] speed. This sword can be maintained for up to 5 posts, and can be utilized with any techniques that call for a sword.

[Induction]
C-rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: Must be from Iron Country, and have lived there for extended periods.
Having lived for long periods in spaces highly saturated with sage energy, the shinobi of Kemurigakure are highly skilled in manipulating it. After performing a series of hand seals, the user can touch someone, inserting a large dose of sage chakra into them. For the next 4 posts, the target will suffer from -3 Willpower, and will have a sudden surge of upbeat, positive feeling.
Toryu StyleShow
D-ranksShow
*[Toryu • Skipping Stone]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The signature Stance of Toryu, practitioners relax the muscles in their bodies, gaining additional flexibility in their movements in how they approach the enemy, how they retreat, how they evade attacks, and how they attack the opponent. This Stance allows the practitioner to more easily read opponent's attacks and defend against them by evading in unusual ways, such as ducking, bending around, and quickly sidestepping attacks without needlessly exposing themselves to additional attacks. This fleet-footed Stance lets the practitioner mix up their movements to confuse and misdirect the opponent, allowing them to attack lesser-known openings in the opponent's guard. It also allows the practitioner to rapidly and reflexively change the angle, position and grip of their weapon with minimal movement, allowing them multiple manners in which they can attack the opponent or defend against attacks.

*[Toryu • Cobblestone Skeleton]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
A practitioner of Toryu is capable of attacking with every part of their body, even their heads. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity and experience with executing palm strikes, heel strikes, knee strikes, elbow strikes, and headbutts/skull bashes just as effectively as regular punches, kicks, and sword strikes. This Discipline allows the practitioner to consistently execute these kinds of attacks while minimizing or eliminating openings in their defenses or shock/damage they would experience while using these kinds of strikes.

*[Toryu • Dust Eater]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner moves in and initiates a feint in the form of a thrust. Partway through the thrust, however, the practitioner twists their arm to the side and drops low, rotating and lashing out with a spinning low kick, attempting to sweep the opponent's feet out from under them. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can resist the tripping effect.

*[Toryu • Sinking Quicksand]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 8 Strength.
One of Toryu's many grappling techniques, the practitioner steps in close to the opponent, slamming their heel into the opponent's foot to lock the target in place. In the same movement, the practitioner grabs the opponent's arm and flips them over their back, slamming them to the ground unless the opponent has an Acrobatics technique of an equal or higher rank than this technique. The prone position this leaves the opponent in leaves them exposed to an attack of opportunity from the practitioner's weapon after executing this technique.

*[Toryu • Sundering Gravel]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 8 Strength.
Designed as a counterattack but also a potent attack by itself, the practitioner will first wait to block or parry an opponent's attack with their weapon. Then, the practitioner will quickly counter with a swift knee strike to the opponent's stomach or diaphragm to stun them or cause them to stagger by winding them, followed by a quick slash or stab to their chest or stomach. The practitioner may choose to use this as an attack instead by immediately leading off with the knee strike if they so wish. Opponents with equal or higher Endurance than the practitioner's Strength can resist being winded.

*[Toryu • Pebble Split]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Designed as a counterattack but also a potent attack by itself, the practitioner will first wait to sidestep an attack before countering with a swift elbow strike with their sword hand to the opponent's face to stun them or cause them to stagger by winding them, grabbing the opponent's arm or garment with their unarmed hand to hold them in place. Immediately following the elbow strike, the practitioner will pull the opponent to one side while executing a slash in the opposite direction with their sword hand. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can escape from the grappling component of this technique.
C-ranksShow
*[Toryu • Lethal Familiarity]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Many of the Toryu techniques would put the user in incredibly daring positions where a single mistake could instantly spell disaster for the swordsman. As a result, Toryu practitioners must train themselves constantly to avoid letting their fears distract them from their task. A practitioner with this technique has learned to shut out fear in the heat of combat, allowing them to perform attacks and techniques without the risk of failure due to fear responses.

*[Toryu • Spite Breaker]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
An unorthodox use of swordsmanship, the practitioner rushes the opponent and leaps at them, attempting to land on their shoulders. Should the practitioner succeed, they will forcefully shift their weight onto the opponent's shoulders, potentially unbalancing them. Opponents with an Acrobatic technique of an equal or higher rank than this technique can resist having their guard be disrupted. Otherwise, the opponent will be suddenly thrown off balance, leaving their head, neck, or torso exposed for the practitioner to attack with their sword.

*[Toryu • Fury Guard]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A technique allowing the practitioner to partially customize their focus on defense or offense, the practitioner guards against attacks while immediately attacking subsequent openings with their free hand. The form this takes depends on which hand they prioritize for defense. Should they choose to guard with their sword hand, the practitioner deflects the attacks outwards, away from the opponent's center of mass where their guard is strongest, and responds by launching unarmed counter-attacks like a punch, elbow, or throw. If they choose to guard with their unarmed hand, the practitioner blocks the attack by intercepting the haft of the weapon or the opponent's wrists with the back of their fist or forearm and counter with more lethal slashes and stabs from their sword.

*[Toryu • Misery Drop]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength.
A variant of the Spite Breaker, the practitioner rushes the opponent and leaps at them, spinning and attempting to land on their shoulders, clinching their legs around the opponent's neck. Should the practitioner succeed, they will forcefully shift all of their weight back, potentially unbalancing the opponent. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can resist having their guard be disrupted. Otherwise, the opponent will be suddenly thrown back and flipped down before slamming face-first into the ground. The practitioner can roll up onto the opponent's back with this motion, offering a clean stab down into the back of the opponent's skull to finish them off.

*[Toryu • Grave Digger]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength.
Rushing in towards the opponent either as a charging attack or after evading an opponent's attack, the practitioner starts with their arms crossed in front of their chests before quickly sweeping their elbows up over their heads, the flat of the practitioner's front-most elbow potentially striking the opponent under their chin. While this elbow strike can cause considerable damage by itself, the purpose of the elbow strike is to cause the opponent to dodge. With their arms crossed over their heads, the practitioner braces their unarmed hand against their sword arm and swings both down at once. The additional torque provided by the unarmed hand allows the sword strike that follows to immediately accelerate to maximum speed. The practitioner can twist or sidestep during this downswing to compensate for where the opponent is dodging.

*[Toryu • Crushing Despair]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength, *[Toryu • Cobblestone Skeleton].
A brutal, raw technique, the practitioner quickly dashes into an opponent's range, often after avoiding an enemy attack, momentarily torquing the muscles in their legs before launching a powerful knee strike directly up into the target's diaphragm and sternum in an attempt to stagger the opponent. Aside from potentially fracturing or even breaking bones, the opponent can potentially be left winded. This sudden attack can potentially open up many vulnerable areas on the opponent's body for possible finishing moves.
B-rankShow
*[Toryu • Granite Epitaph]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 25 Strength.
After much training with grappling, clinching, blocking, deflecting, and parrying weapons, the practitioner gains skin as sturdy as rock, allowing them even more avenues for defense and attack. This Discipline represent's the practitioner's body conditioning for toughening their skin all over their bodies, especially on their hands. This makes the practitioner's skin harder to cut or penetrate, and it allows the practitioner to perform normally self-destructive feats, such as blade catches, without needlessly harming themselves.

*[Toryu • Grim Kamikaze]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): Strength stat must be equal to or higher than Speed stat.
A difficult technique designed to use the opponent's own forward moment against them, the practitioner waits until the opponent begins advancing. Then, waiting for the opponent to launch an attack, the practitioner throws themselves bodily into the opponent before the attack is executed, slamming into the opponent and potentially stunning them. Then, momentarily torquing the muscles in their body, the practitioner grabs the opponent's arm and releases that energy into a violent downward flip that accelerates the throw to the practitioner's max Speed. The practitioner drops to one knee to finish the throw right in front of them, cratering their opponent as they immediately bring their blade down to stab the opponent in the chest, neck, or head. This technique can be used as its own attack or as a counterattack. The opponent can escape the grapple if they have an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique.
A-rankShow
*[Toryu • Charge of the Faithful]
A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 35 Strength.
The practitioner will momentarily torque the muscles in their legs as they brace themselves against the earth. Then, the practitioner will rocket forth in a dash towards the opponent, the force of their movement causing a localized earthquake within a number of meters equal to the practitioner's Strength. The earthquake rocks the ground with a force equivalent to 3/4 the practitioner's Strength stat, rounded down. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique are stumbled, the movements of the ground preventing them from moving. The practitioner then slams into the opponent with a charging attack. This charging attack will knock away any opponent with a lower Strength than the practitioner's Strength up to a number of meters equal to the practitioner's Strength, aside from causing significant damage. The practitioner can choose what form this attack takes, such as a punch, kick, knee, elbow strike, headbutt, shoulder charge, etc.

Organization's Headquarters and Outposts (1/1)
OutpostShow
Name of Base: Sanrou - The Three Headed Wolf
Location of Base: Iron Country
Intent of Base: The capital of Iron Country, and one of the two established villages in the country's dangerous terrain. Sanrou is the seat of samurai power, and the Taishou. The Forge is run out of Sanrou and acts as an official arm of Iron Country’s political power, but considers Sanrou an extension of the main headquarters in Seikoujo.
Defense jutsu tied to the Base: -
HeadquartersShow
Name of Outpost: Kemurigakure no Sato (Seikoujo)
Location of Outpost: Located in the north of Iron Country, in much of the land formerly belonging to Fur Country. Seikoujo is located on a plateau surrounded by the hostile landscape of Iron Country. While much of the outside world recognizes Seikoujo as a simple training outpost, the plateau it sits on has mostly be hollowed out much like Sanrou, and is actually the location of Kemurigakure no Sato. The bulk of Kemurigakure is within the plateau, and operates as a functional city. Seikoujo and Kemurigakure is home to an indigenous species of Locust that induces everyone within a mile of the village into a sage mode state called [Euphoria], which among other things, grants the targets the ability to use sensory. However, given that everyone in Kemurigakure utilizes chakra hiding equipment, non-residents of Kemurigakure are immediately recognizable to the entire population, making it incredibly difficult to sneak into the village without means to hide your chakra signature.
Intent of Outpost: Specialize Operations Headquarters of Iron Country.

[Locust Sage Swarm]
X-rank Jutsu
When Shio is not in his [Taishou] state, his Locust swarm remains naturally around Seikoujo as an indigenous locust species. However, they still naturally release chakra that supercharges the natural energy around them into Sage energy. This results in everyone in Seikoujo and the mile radius around it being in the [Euphoric] state produced by Shio. Consequently, anyone within Seikoujo has a passive sensory ability of roughly 100m, and suffers from -9 WP.
Detoxification CenterShow
Given the hostile nature of the ecology of Iron Country, there are not many liveable spaces in the country outside of Sanrou and the land taken from Fur Country. Several of the indigenous species of animals and plants are highly toxic, venomous, or poisonous. These various poisons and toxins are utilized by the Forge to generate specialized weapons, and the Detoxification Center is an off-sight location that Iron Country uses to manage these poisons and toxins. Located near the North-West border, the Detoxification Center is mostly underground, going several stories below ground with a variety of different rooms and sections hidden within it. It is not well-known that Iron Country utilizes poisons, and the Detoxification Center is a secret facilities. From the outside, it looks like a standard border outlook, a large tower with enough space to house a small squadron of 4 to 8 samurai. However, the actual detoxification center is large enough to house up to 100 samurai. The underground component of the Detoxification Center is made up chakra-resistant stone, which makes it impossible to sense through chakra based means.

Webbing
X-rank Jutsu
In the mile radius around the Detoxification Center, a complex system of wires, threads, and strings are set up. They are embedded into the ground, across trees, through foilage, making them virtually impossible to avoid. The webbing system is doused in chemicals that deter animals, keeping the region immediately around the detoxification center free of any wildlife. Should any of the webbing be interrupted, touched, or disturbed, it causes the wiring around it to collapse, causing a cascading effect that alerts samurai at the Detoxification Center where the interruption has occurred.
