Physical Features: Although she is a slim woman Fusae is quite toned, evidence that despite her current profession she has not slacked in training. She has pale skin and near waist-length silver-white hair. Due to her personal light, her eyes are pale purple.

Clothing/Accessories: Over the years, Fusae has grown quite an extensive collection of elegant kimono. She is almost always wearing a kimono while in her tea shop, and some of her favorite colors to wear are purple and red. Beneath the kimono she usually wears a form fitting 'battle outfit.' She wears a grey and purple long-sleeved top with a plunging neckline, and a black sash tied around her waist. Fusae wears simple black cutoff pants. She wears white sandals most of the time, though her short black boots are never far away.

Personality: Fusae was once a volatile and impulsive young woman, prone to angry and oftentimes violent outbursts. Over the years she has matured and learned how to control her emotions more masterfully, and takes great care to consider consequences before she acts. This along with her skill in manipulating and reading others has led her to become a shrewd businesswoman. Her history as a rogue has given her a cruel streak, and she is willing to go to great lengths to protect herself, her son, and her business. Fusae takes great pride in her appearance and femininity, and although she prefers not to get her hands dirty she is certainly not above doing so.



History
Early Life

Born in Konohagakure, Awai Fusae lived a charmed life. She was spoiled and doted on by her parents, who taught her to have pride in both her clan and herself. The young girl aspired to be like her mother, a strong and dignified proper lady, and like her father, who was a strong shinobi. She adored her older brother Takahiro, who was five years her senior, and he kept her close in turn. He lovingly referred to her as his little flower that was forever pointed toward him, her sun.

At age seven she enrolled in the academy, quickly finding her talents were primarily in ninjutsu. Fusae loathed taijutsu, viewing it as distasteful and unfeminine. She preferred to fight at a distance, her reason being it was unladylike to get her hands and clothes stained by dirt and blood. She trained diligently at both the academy and at home, finding her natural talents in hiton and katon made up for her weaker skills in taijutsu and genjutsu. Socially, the conventionally pretty Awai was the object of many boys' affections and she reveled in the attention. Other girls were typically hostile to her, and she attributed their dislike toward her to jealousy, ignoring the fact that she often bullied girls she deemed as ugly and masculine. She was a quintessential mean girl.

After graduating at age twelve, Fusae found the grunt work that was typically assigned to genin were not befitting for someone of her prim and proper nature. She often ditched missions to go shopping or relax at an onsen with her friends, and she found herself disciplined constantly by her jounin sensei. She was usually the root of discord among her teammates: Daiji, a red-headed boy who had an intense crush on Fusae, Etsuko, a tall and gangly blonde girl who in turn had a crush on him. The Awai used the love triangle to her advantage by using Daiji's affection for her to manipulate into doing the brunt of her mission work, and Etsuko's disdain for her to goad her into trying to outshine her by taking on more tasks. In this way Fusae found she had talent in manipulating others based on how they responded to her beauty, and it was a skill she would perfect and utilize throughout her life.

From Chuunin to Defector

When it was time for the chuunin exams the fifteen year old Awai was completely uninterested. During the team battle she lagged behind, allowing her teammates to fall one by one. When faced with a one-on-one battle with the chuunin proctor she surrendered, refusing to dirty her hands with what would have been hand-to-hand combat. Her surrender was viewed as shameful. For weeks she was shunned by her parents and other members of her clan. Being starved of attention filled the young genin with resentment toward her family and by extension, Konoha. Fusae had considered giving up her life as a shinobi, but her elder brother had convinced her otherwise by showering her with the love and attention she desperately craved. Takahiro's encouragement did what no others' could. During the second examination she gave it her all and severly injured her opponent. Despite the victory Fusae was still subject to sneers and reprimands from some members her family, but her brother's praises were all that mattered to her.

In the months after becoming chuunin, Fusae's outlook on her clan and village became more and more grim. The reaction towards her failed first exam, the constant berating from her sensei, and her parents' conflicting expectations from her filled her with resentment. Then, on one winter night, her world was shattered. Takahiro, the light of her life, defected from the village without warning. The girl was interrogated relentlessly by both the village and her family, but despite their strong relationship she had no idea why her brother had deserted the village. It soon became clear that no one believed her. Fusae's bitterness grew.

It took over a year after her brother's desertion for the village and the clan to ease their close watch over the girl. But Fusae was a patient girl. When she was finally permitted to go on a mission near the border of Fire Country, she knew it was her time to act. Once the team completed the mission she turned on them, unleashing her pent up frustrations on especially on Etsuko. After maiming them she fled. Fusae, still following in her brother's footsteps, became a missing ninja at age sixteen.

Rogue

Life as a missing ninja was a vasty different experience. She befriended noteworthy and dangerous missing ninja - notably Dokusha Yaksha, Laxus, and Licht - and even met the infamous Fushinkou Yaku during her travels. Once averse to blood and killing, Fusae quickly found her means of survival was murder and manipulation. She used her feminine charm and blossoming sexuality to her advantage, all while avoiding detection from Konoha shinobi who may have been searching for her. She searched desperately for her brother but clues to his location were few and far between. However, mere months after her own desertion she found that Takahiro was long dead.

For a while she was broken. She wandered the world, searching for her place and purpose. Fusae found comfort in her lover Licht, a powerful Kumogakure rogue several years her senior. Despite their difference in age and worldview the two fell in love. At the same time, the Awai took over a up and coming tea house in Tea Country and took the alias Igarashi Setsuko. Finding that the country was too close in its relationship to Konoha, "Setsuko" relocated the establishment to Miracle Country. It became well known in the country for its exotic and expensive teas - and, in certain circles, for its beautiful and expensive whores.

Not long after finding success in her business Fusae's life changed drastically once more. At age nineteen her lover Licht died suddently. She mourned his death, but although she had lost one love she had gained another. Mere weeks before his death Fusae had become pregnant with his child. She named the boy Kosuke, and found her purpose in life now lie in protecting not only herself but her son. Fusae kept her true name and history hidden from the boy, along with the identity of his father. She was often away on business related to the tea house, though she would occasionally take on jobs that required to her use her skills as a shinobi. When he was old enough she had him trained by samurai - no son of hers would be a weakling - and when the boy discovered chakra she taught him more about his Awai lineage.

Kosuke left home to pursue his own adventures, and although Fusae naturally worries about him - he is certainly his father's son - she knows she raised him well and has largely left him to his own devices. Once again, Fusae has found herself wondering what the next stage in her life will bring.

Hiton, also known as Light Release, is an elemental fusion that combines Raiton and Katon to create and manipulate hard light to accomplish various feats. Hiton starts as relatively weak jutsu that create light and distractions, but at high levels creates super heated lasers and grids of compressed light. Hiton jutsu are known for their blinding quality that exists unless otherwise stated. This quality, combined with the burning power of raw light creates a powerful offensive style that has a game-changing supplemental ability. The brightness of Hiton jutsu, and the burning power they have is based on the strength of the technique.

As with its parent element Hiton, Fusae can now manipulate natural light around them taking their control past just hard light, and into a realm of utilizing natural light to create absences of light, warp light around them, to use the light to brighten/heat up an area, or to reduce it. With this Fusae can also make vision distorted by warping light around them. Hiton: Natural Light requires its jutsu to actively burn or blind rather than inheriting its parent's passive effects. Hiton: Natural Light goes off the same pyramid as plain Hiton, and is granted fusion channeling.

Katon Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Katon affinity. Katon has a passive ignition effect.
Passive (Ignition)Show
Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own.

Additionally, the strength of burns on organic material from katon jutsu is determined by the strength stat of the individual jutsu.

Passive (Erosion)Show
Sankaton is an incorporeal element that comes in the form of a fine red haze, that exudes warmth, and has the ability to erode. Anything physical that comes in contact with Sankaton is eaten by the energy, which consumes the Sankaton. This gives Sankaton incredibly powerful offensive and defensive capabilities. Sankaton jutsu are notoriously draining, and are known to push the user to the absolute limit. Sankaton jutsu are limited in size by their control prerequisite, which can make them difficult to use effectively. Sankaton is unaffected by energy based elements, and the two simply pass through them. This makes Sankaton's strength, and it's weakness non-matter based elements.

A passive technique, the user has learned to weaken the intensity of light from their jutsu that comes towards them. This means that users are affected less by the blinding and by the burning quality of their techniques. Having this technique gives a permanent -1 to Chakra Pool.

Performing hand seals and then holding out their hand, the user produces a softball sized ball of light that is the same color as their personal light in the palm of their hand. This ball glows with an intensity equal to the user’s [Control]. It can also be thrown or used in melee combat. When it hits something it acts like a gas and spreads out over the impacted area, causing a blinding flash of light and heat with a strength equal to the user’s [Control] up to an area of [Control]x[Control]x[Control] meters. This jutsu lasts for 4 posts unless used earlier.

After grabbing a weapon or small object and flowing Hiton chakra into it, the user causes the object to glow with their personal chakra color and essentially turns the weapon or object into a constantly glowing, explosive flash tag. This infusion lasts for 4 posts. The 'infusion' does not make the object more durable in any way. The user can also release the Hiton chakra stored inside once and cause it to let out a large burst of explosive light equal to that of the user’s [Control].

Performing a small series of hand seals, the user creates a solid hiton shield around one or both hands. The shield of light is roughly ([Control]/5)x([Control]/5) meters in size. The shield forms at a speed and strength equal to the user’s [Control]. The shield lasts for 4 posts, or until destroyed.

Performing the hand seals for the technique, the user then puts both hands out forward and from both palms a basketball sized beam of light colored the same as the user's personal light shoots forward. The projectile moves in a straight line to a maximum distance of 10 meters at a speed and strength of the user’s [Control]. As it hits it breaks up like gas against the object when it hits, spreading out over the person.

The user performs a few hand seals and then puts both hands out forward, creating a solid light barrier up to 25 meters away from the user. This barrier measures approximately [Control]x[Control]x[Control] meters in size. The barrier’s walls are formed at a speed and strength equal to the user’s [Control]. This barrier lasts for 5 posts unless destroyed.

After forming the hand seals and focusing chakra into one hand, an Awai is capable of solidifying and shaping their personal chakra into the shape of any single handed weapon. The weapon forms at a speed and strength equal to the user’s [Control]. It also stores charing heat inside the weapon which can cause scalding or searing upon contact. The blade lasts for 3 posts or until destroyed.

Performing the hand seals, the user then puts one hand up and is able to create a brightly shining disc of condensed light up to 1 meter in diameter that is the same color as their personal light. The disk created is extremely thin like a blade. The user is then able to throw the blade up to 25 meters upon which when it makes contact or reach the end will expand up to [Control]m in diameter with a strength and speed equal to the user’s [Control] slicing everything in its path. This disk can be held for up to 5 posts before dissipating.

Prerequisites: Hiton: Natural Light concentration
Focusing chakra into their body, the user performs hand seals and then manipulates the way light refracts around their bodies, allowing them to make themselves visually invisible. They still have a chakra signature, must breathe and still make noise, but they are completely invisible to the naked eye. The user can only move as fast as the lowest stat between [Speed] and [Control]. This lasts for 4 posts.

After performing the necessary hand seals the user will then create three rings of light around their arms. They can throw these rings out towards a target up to 25 meters at a speed equal to the users [Control]. These rings will then wrap and bind whatever they make contact with a strength equal to that of the user’s [Control] constricting constantly. These bindings last for 4 posts unless broken.

After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will cause natural light to bend around them for four posts. During this time, the user will appear to shimmer and glitch, and their position will visually fluctuate rapidly from side to side and back and forth. This will make it difficult for opponents to pinpoint her location, since her position will fluctuate anywhere within five meters of her true position.

After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will create a solid light barrier within 25 meters of their position. This barrier is formed at up to [Control] speed and strength, and has [Control] x [Control] x [Control] size dimensions. The barrier lasts up to five posts, or until destroyed.

After the user performs the necessary hand seals, they’ll shoot off a beam of light from one or both hands at a speed and strength equal to the user’s [Control]. These beams of light however are capable of reflecting across any surface as if it were a mirror allowing these shots to bounce and hit around corners if angled right.

After performing the necessary hand seals, the user creates rings around themselves up to [Control]/2m in diameter that appears translucent. However when anything makes contact with these rings will be instantly met with the barrier solidifying at a strength equal to the user’s [Control]. This reactive barrier lasts for 5 posts unless destroyed before.

Prerequisites: Hiton: Natural Light concentration
The user performs a series of hand seals then thrust their hands into the air. Within a 40m radius from their hand in all directions, the light will suddenly vanish. Within the range everyone will be completely blind. From outside the range of this technique the area will simply look like a black dome of emptiness. No new light will be able to be made within the area and the darkness will persist for 7 posts.

After the user performs the necessary hand seals, approximately 8 orbs of light will appear around them that they can control at will within 65 meter radius with themselves as the epicenter. These orbs of light are solid, and can be moved with a strength and speed equal to the user’s [Control]. While controlling these orbs, the user cannot cast any other Ninjutsu. These orbs are approximately 0.5 meters in diameter, and they last for 5 posts unless destroyed before.

After performing the hand seals and then attacking an opponent. There will be a gang of arms approximately 6 of them that appear from the back of the user that the user can control as additional limbs up to a strength and speed of the user’s [Control]. These arms last for 4 posts unless destroyed.

After performing the necessary hand seals, a barrier with [Control] strength will form near the user up to 65 meters away and the barrier will be up to ([Control]/2)x([Control]/2)x([Control]/2) meters in area and begin to flood with hiton chakra. This hiton chakra will heat up and brighten the area at a speed and strength equal to the user’s [Control]. This chakra will also progressively wear down an opponent’s Endurance by -5 per post. This area will last for up to 4 posts.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user runs their hands alongside a potential fuel, once they take their fingers off everything the ran their hand over will ignite, the flame burning at [Control] Strength. Potentially useful in avoiding wildfires, having fueles for a fire used against them.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will exhale a small ball of flame directly in front of them. The ball lights up the surrounding area in a 10 meter radius and requires Strength greater than [Control] to destroy. Unless destroyed, it will stay locked in its location for 5 posts before fading.

After doing the needed hand seals, the ninja covers a small projectile in Sankaton chakra. Whenever the projectile hits a target, the sankaton will strike first at [Control] Strength, eroding the material it strikes.

After doing the needed hand seals, the ninja gathers Sankaton chakra in their mouth, creating a blob. After spitting it out, it grows to a .5x.5.x5 meter diameter ball that travels at [Control] Speed, up to 10 meters away, eroding anything it strikes with [Control] strength.

*Annihilation: Introduction
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Rather than using hand seals, the ninja is required to put their hands in a specific formation, as if gripping a basketball with each hand. As they do this, a .5x.5x.5m diameter film of pure Sankaton chakra is created in the space between their hands. The film can then be moved around and controlled within a 10m area of the user, weakening the strength of anything that passes through it by [Control] strength, and causing anything smaller than the film to completely disappear.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After doing the needed hand seals, the ninja sends Sankaton chakra into a metallic object, rusting it. When the metallic object pierces the flesh of a living person, the chakra spreads throughout the wound, infecting the area. This causes muscles in the injured area to constantly contract, preventing some movement and causing -3 Speed. This lasts for 5 posts.

After performing the needed seals, Fusae flips her hair. Anyone who sees this motion falls into the genjutsu. Her targets will feel their heart skip a beat and rush whenever they look at her for the next three posts. The sensation is similar to the feeling one gets when they see someone they are strongly attracted to.

After performing the needed seals, Fusae makes eye contact with a target. This target will then see a very faint glow around Fusae. It is not extremely noticeable like the glow from channeling jutsu, but it gives Fusae an angelic, glowing appearance. This effect lasts two posts.

C-Ranked Status Genjutsu
This is a three post genjutsu. To start the genjutsu, the ninja does the hand seals that are needed and then places a hand on the target. Until the genjutsu ends the target is able to remember a lot more about their past and has a lighter barrier over their consciousness making it easier for them to spill information. This doesn’t weaken their will, however, meaning if they are aware it’s a genjutsu, they are more than capable of using Kai.

Bone Breaker Style was created by shinobi in order to disable another fighter quickly in a fight to prevent them from utilizing limbs, and weathering the opponent down by short powerful strikes aimed at weak spots in the skeletal structure to fracture or break entirely. The style is strongly based off the strength and skill of the user. If a user is strong they can snap bones easily, but if they are uncoordinated the style is essentially useless, same if it was the other way around, a weak person cannot snap bones no matter how well they're coordinated. The style is an utterly brute and ruthless one used to typical lethally injure or disable an opponent for other means.

Prerequisite: 10 strength.
This taijutsu utilizes the weaker spot of the fibula in the calf to snap the soft bone. This creates intense pain in their calf, making them unable to stand, and it causes immense pain on the damaged leg. The practitioner's Strength must be 5 points higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

*Stop Pointing
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
This technique requires the practitioner to get close and personal, grabbing the opponent and forcing them into an armbar. Once the opponent is forced into an armbar, the practitioner must then open up their fingers and bend them back with immense force until they break or dislocate. This prevents the opponent from forming handseals unless they relocate their fingers or mend the bone breakage. The practitioner's Strength must be 5 points higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

*Fault Line
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner throws a palm strike towards an opponents leg utilizing all their momentum and force by swinging their shoulders and hips, targeting the opponent's thigh. Landing this strike causes immense discomfort and a hairline fracture in one of the bones, and if the opponent continues to heavily use and strain the targeted leg, the hairline fracture can degrade into a full severe fracture. The practitioner's Strength must be 5 points higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

*Drunk Goggles
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner claps their opponent's ear with the palm of their hand, swinging wide to gather as much force as possible before the strike. This causes bleeding and a ringing sensation in the opponent's ear, hampering their ability to hear properly. This also causes an influx of pressure in the opponent's ear canal, compromising the opponent's balance. The practitioner's Strength must be 5 points higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 15 Strength
The practitioner approaches behind the opponent or slides behind them before crouching low to the ground. Supporting themselves with their hands, the practitioner delivers a powerful kick to the opponent's spinal cord, attempting to fracture their spinal disks. These fractures create a strain on the opponent's back, making it difficult to remain standing upright or make wide movements. The practitioner's Strength must be 5 points higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

*Humorous Humerus
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 10 Strength
The practitioner delivers an open palm strike to the opponent's arm, attempting to break the humerus bone and render the arm unusable. This makes the opponent unable to move the affected arm or perform hand seals. The opponent will also feel immense pain in their injured arm and will have trouble moving the arm any further down than the shoulder. The practitioner's Strength must be 5 points higher than the opponent's Strength to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

B-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 20 Strength
The practitioner crouches under an opponent's strike before uppercutting them with an open palm strike to their lower rib cage, attempting to break the lower ribs and debilitate the opponent's breathing. If the full force of the blow lands, the opponent becomes short of breath, and the damage can possibly cause bones to put pressure on their opponent's lungs, making breathing even more difficult.
