Abilities and Concentrations
Abilities
First Ability
Kiyohime’s Birthright:
Those of this Birthright are born with unique appearances akin to the dragon. In the case of Mika she manifests with horns, a tail, wings, and some scales. Her horns are about seven inches long each, with a 3 inch diameter and at the end the tips split into an upward and downward point each that are about an inch long apiece (measuring from the split). Her tail is about six feet long, complete with flattened flesh and bone on the tip that looks like a spade. With a sharpened point at the tip and sharp edges on either side, those edges are about eight inches long each. In addition her tail is decorated with spikes running up its length from tip to base, each spike about three inches long and at least a dozen of them in total. Her wings have a full span of about twelve feet if she were really to stretch them out.

However, as a part of Mika’s birthright the above is a partial transformation for her now. While she was born that way, she is not always that way any longer. She can transform into this form at will without the use of additional jutsu, though at the cost equal to a single D Rank jutsu.

As a Last part of the birthright, Mika has a full dragon transformation (See Left) which can only be achieved once her Endurance reaches 25 and its shape is influenced by her Affinity as well. In this transformation she may gain access to a new line of jutsu (to be written) based on natural weapons and armor gained within the full transformation. Because of her natural affinity, as well as the form's combination of feathers and fur rather than scales, she also gains the ability for natural flight without the need for additional jutsu. However transforming into this form comes at the cost equal to a single B Rank jutsu.

Bone Breaker StyleShow
D Rank:
*Fault Line
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner throws a palm strike towards an opponents leg utilizing all their momentum and force by swinging their shoulders and hips, targeting the opponent's thigh. Landing this strike causes immense discomfort and a hairline fracture in one of the bones, and if the opponent continues to heavily use and strain the targeted leg, the hairline fracture can degrade into a full severe fracture. Once the opponent is forced into an armbar, the practitioner must then open up their fingers and bend them back with immense force until they break or dislocate. This prevents the opponent from forming handseals unless they relocate their fingers or mend the bone breakage. The practitioner's Strength must be 5 points higher than the opponent's Endurance to achieve the desired effect of this technique.

*Drunk Goggles
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner claps their opponent's ear with the palm of their hand, swinging wide to gather as much force as possible before the strike. This causes bleeding and a ringing sensation in the opponent's ear, hampering their ability to hear properly. Kūgāpou StyleShow
D Rank:
*Kūgāpou • Soft Paws
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Soft Paws is a bare-handed deflection technique and is used against bladed weapons. At this level, the practitioner is able to read the angles of the attacks to place the flat of their hand against the flat of the blade and push it away without getting cut by the weapon. However, prolonged use of this technique will cause the practitioner to suffer bruises on their hands.

*Kūgāpou • Soft Elbow
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Soft Paws
After using Soft Paws to slap a blade away, the practitioner will continue moving forwards while jutting out their elbow. The momentum from the target's original attack that was slapped away, coupled with the sudden defenselessness of the target after having their attack deflected, makes for a powerful counter-attack. The elbow can be aimed anywhere on the torso and above, but is usually aimed at the target's face.

*Kūgāpou • Down Paw
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever a bladed weapon is coming towards the practitioner, they can slam their palm against the top of the blade, pushing it downwards. This can either cause the sword to miss or, if the practitioner's Strength is equal to or higher than the Strength of the attack, can force the sword into the ground. This technique only works on blades that aren't double-edged.

*Kūgāpou • Down Rush
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Down Paw
After using Down Paw to drive the opponent’s blade downward or into the ground, the practitioner will rush forward and ram their shoulder into the opponent, driving them back and away from their weapon or even taking the weapon from them outright.
Ninjutsu:
Basic JutsuShow
D Rank:
*[Basic Jutsu • Clone Technique]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After completing a set of handseals, the user forms a slight chakra 'body', thus creating a single, massless clone. The clone created from this technique is very basic and will dissipate when hit with anything. These clones do not possess vital signs or a unique chakra signature, meaning they don't disrupt the environment, and anything on their person is superficial. The clone has 1 in each stat. They are limited to basic movements.

*[Basic Jutsu • Transformation Technique]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After completing the needed handseals, the user of this technique will be able to alter their physical appearance to match that of another person. By consistently emitting chakra throughout their body, the user is able to keep their appearance adjusted at the cost of their Chakra Pool draining over time. As this technique is quite strenuous to uphold, experienced shinobi may see more clearly through this delusive disguise. This technique lasts for a number of posts equal to that of the user's (Chakra Pool/2).

*[Basic Jutsu • Chakra Kai]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
A jutsu used with the purpose of activating seals and a range of devices and weapons, this technique begins with a single handseal. Once this has been performed, the user will focus a dollop of their chakra into what they are looking to activate in order to complete the task. Seals activated with this technique must be within 10 meters of the user's position.

*[Basic Jutsu • Act of Tree Climbing]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
By focusing chakra into his/her feet, the user is able to walk up trees and other vertical surfaces in a similar fashion to walking along the ground. This chakra amount must be precise, and although all shinobi learn this technique, the user's control stat will determine how well this jutsu can be executed. Users with low control 2 or lower will often fall during the use of this technique, while users with average control 3 or higher will be able to use this technique functionally. It lasts for a number of posts equal to the user's Chakra Pool.

*[Basic Jutsu • Act of Water Surface Walking]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
A variation of the Act of Tree Climbing technique, this jutsu requires the user to focus a precise and balanced amount of charka into the soles of his/her feet. By doing so, the user is able to walk on the surface of water as though it were a solid surface. Users with low control 2 or lower are much more likely to fall through the surface of the water, while users with average control 3 or higher will be able to use this technique functionally. It lasts for a number of posts equal to the user's Chakra Pool.

*[Basic Jutsu • Kai Release]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
A rather simple technique that allows the user to escape from a genjutsu. The user will form a single ram seal and focus to reset their chakra system to purge themselves of foreign chakra. The stat requirements for this technique can be found in the genjutsu rules.

*[Basic Jutsu • Change of Body Stance Technique]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After completing the necessary handseals, the user is able to quickly substitute his/her body with a nearby object that is at least 2/3rds his/her size, but no bigger than their body. This substitution allows the object to take the force of the attack that was meant for the user, additionally allowing the user to create distance between him/her and the opponent. The object used in this jutsu may not be objects that are imbued with chakra or controlled by it, and they may also only be single, solid objects within a 10 meter radius of the user. This technique may only be used a total of one time in a single thread, give or take how many times Shunshin no Jutsu has already been used.

History Senkensha Yuka was a priestess in a small mining community in Frost Country. Unlike most in her country however, she did not follow the religion of Kyoujiru. She declared herself priestess of an unnamed Dragon god, a fact that while it caused some tensions among her community, was largely ignored by many as she also functioned as a half decent medic. What very few realized however was that her belief had gone so far as her finding an ability within herself to transform into a beautiful humanoid red dragon, yet her beliefs and her ability spurred her own obsessions with certain myths and legends. Specifically she became obsessed with the myth of Kiyohime. According to the myth, the woman Kiyohime fell in love with a monk named Anchin, and when he rejected her she turned into a great serpent in her rage and killed him. Over time, Yuka became so obsessed with the legend that she was convinced it was her destiny, foretold by her god, that she was Kiyohime reborn. When a shinobi, one Natsuki Takeo, came to her mining community to help, she was immediately taken with him, convincing herself that he was her Anchin.

She considered her daughter who came from their 'meeting' to be a blessing from the gods. The girl's unique appearance from birth only lent to this idea in her mind. She raised the girl within the community. Mika was always a carefree child, her unique qualities seemed to be accepted by those around her. She loved to play and often had to be fetched out of the mine itself as she insisted on "following her friends". But two years ago her world changed. It seemed the community had had enough with her mother's fanaticism after all and their home was set aflame as they slept. Mika managed to get out, but her mother did not. And sadly escaping was not the end of her suffering. When she was spotted by villagers the girl thought it all had to be some horrible accident and they would save her, yet instead she was attacked.

Mika only made it out because of a single miner who couldn't stand to see a child hurting. He managed to get her away from the crowd and out of town, but from there even his own issues came to light as he simply dropped her off with a cloak and a sack with a couple of her belongings left in it. From that day forward Mika was an orphan, as well as homeless. Her unique appearance meant no orphanage would take her in, and most were too scared of her to help her. She wandered Frost Country, often hiding in her cloak and sometimes even stealing a little here and there just to survive, all the while wishing someone would just help her.

In her travels, at the age of 11, she was soon found by the most unlikely of creatures, a great dragon named Kori. Through him she found herself a new family, a new organization, and a new home. She now lives in a place she feels is perfect and has learned from members of her new family how to use the secrets of Ninjutsu, how to transform herself that she now has a 'normal' appearance to show the world but also a place to be free to be herself if she so wishes. In her mind, she is free. She has even picked up an instrument that she has been learning to play in her time, the shamisen. She spent five years being raised by Kori, by Katsu, and the rest of the family of the Titans. She learned how to stand up for herself. It was as if she was frozen in time for awhile and simply lived her life. She was protected and was allowed to become a naive child for a time, though at one point that naivety was shaken when she met a man named Shinjiro who threatened her family. Still after that she continued to grow and learn from her family, and learn many secrets of chakra from them. To this day she lives in River Country with them, learning what she can and now determined to become stronger. Age has pushed aside naivety and the girl finds herself curious for more, striving for strength.

Kekkei Genkai:
Numakon
The Numakon trait is a rare ability found once every several generations in people all across river country. The ability itself is said to be the result of fornication with swamp spirits, though the actual causes are unknown. The ability itself provides its owners with a long, prehensile tongue (roughly three feet in length) that functions as an extra limb, stronger than average legs which allow them to jump twice the height and/or distance their strength would indicate, along with sticky saliva that is produced in copious amounts thanks to incredibly active saliva glands, which grows more powerful with age and use, primarily dependent on their endurance to determine its strength. Skilled Children of Takiyasha have also been known to channel their frog genes outwards in strange and esoteric ways.

Jutsu
Toryu Kenjutsu - TaijutsuShow
Toryu:
Toryu, a style of Kenjutsu founded in the Land of Pebbles, melds traditional kenjutsu swordplay with subversive feints and sudden bursts of close-quarters combat, two unyielding hills crashing together to form a mountain. Toryu typically favors the use of the blade with one hand, utilizing the freedom of movement to use one's hands, joints, legs, head, and even the hilt and handle of the sword to make an already deadly style more unpredictable and more lethal. Ignorantly considered a very "unrefined" style by most practitioners of the sword, Toryu is actually one of the most difficult styles of Kenjutsu to learn and master. The very basic premise of the style revolves around the firm control and manipulation of one's own movements and body, some techniques requiring execution while using another attack as a feint or misdirection while not sacrificing strength. The style has no weapon requirements outside of a sword, but many users often prefer kodachi, wakizashi, ninjato, or even tanto, the reduced size and weight of the blades having fewer blind spots and making the user's weapon more mobile.

Requires: [Close Quarters Combat], [Sword Weapons] Concentrations.
D Rank:
*[Toryu • Skipping Stone]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The signature Stance of Toryu, practitioners relax the muscles in their bodies, gaining additional flexibility in their movements in how they approach the enemy, how they retreat, how they evade attacks, and how they attack the opponent. This Stance allows the practitioner to more easily read opponent's attacks and defend against them by evading in unusual ways, such as ducking, bending around, and quickly sidestepping attacks without needlessly exposing themselves to additional attacks. This fleet-footed Stance lets the practitioner mix up their movements to confuse and misdirect the opponent, allowing them to attack lesser-known openings in the opponent's guard. It also allows the practitioner to rapidly and reflexively change the angle, position and grip of their weapon with minimal movement, allowing them multiple manners in which they can attack the opponent or defend against attacks.

*[Toryu • Ambidexterity]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After practicing for a long amount of time with the concept of using both of their hands with equal skill, the user has developed a level of ambidexterity that allows them to utilize both hands equally and as effectively without any penalty. This extends to other methods of combat or simple everyday life as well.

*[Toryu • Cobblestone Skeleton]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
A practitioner of Toryu is capable of attacking with every part of their body, even their heads. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity and experience with executing palm strikes, heel strikes, knee strikes, elbow strikes, and headbutts/skull bashes just as effectively as regular punches, kicks, and sword strikes. This Discipline allows the practitioner to consistently execute these kinds of attacks while minimizing or eliminating openings in their defenses or shock/damage they would experience while using these kinds of strikes.

*[Toryu • Dust Eater]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner moves in and initiates a feint in the form of a thrust. Partway through the thrust, however, the practitioner twists their arm to the side and drops low, rotating and lashing out with a spinning low kick, attempting to sweep the opponent's feet out from under them. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can resist the tripping effect.

*[Toryu • Falling Stone]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Moving in to launch either an unarmed attack or an attack with their blade, the practitioner will launch a simultaneous unarmed attack or weapon attack with their other hand, bringing their fist or the pommel/butt of their weapon to slam into the opponent's guard, targeting their hands or wrists. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can resist being disarmed. Otherwise, the practitioner slams the opponent's guard aside, potentially allowing the original attack to strike the opponent directly.

*[Toryu • Sinking Quicksand]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 8 Strength.
One of Toryu's many grappling techniques, the practitioner steps in close to the opponent, slamming their heel into the opponent's foot to lock the target in place. In the same movement, the practitioner grabs the opponent's arm and flips them over their back, slamming them to the ground unless the opponent has an Acrobatics technique of an equal or higher rank than this technique. The prone position this leaves the opponent in leaves them exposed to an attack of opportunity from the practitioner's weapon after executing this technique.

*[Toryu • Sundering Gravel]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 8 Strength.
Designed as a counterattack but also a potent attack by itself, the practitioner will first wait to block or parry an opponent's attack with their weapon. Then, the practitioner will quickly counter with a swift knee strike to the opponent's stomach or diaphragm to stun them or cause them to stagger by winding them, followed by a quick slash or stab to their chest or stomach. The practitioner may choose to use this as an attack instead by immediately leading off with the knee strike if they so wish. Opponents with equal or higher Endurance than the practitioner's Strength can resist being winded.

*[Toryu • Pebble Split]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Designed as a counterattack but also a potent attack by itself, the practitioner will first wait to sidestep an attack before countering with a swift elbow strike with their sword hand to the opponent's face to stun them or cause them to stagger by winding them, grabbing the opponent's arm or garment with their unarmed hand to hold them in place. Immediately following the elbow strike, the practitioner will pull the opponent to one side while executing a slash in the opposite direction with their sword hand. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can escape from the grappling component of this technique.
C Rank:
*[Toryu • Lethal Familiarity]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Many of the Toryu techniques would put the user in incredibly daring positions where a single mistake could instantly spell disaster for the swordsman. As a result, Toryu practitioners must train themselves constantly to avoid letting their fears distract them from their task. A practitioner with this technique has learned to shut out fear in the heat of combat, allowing them to perform attacks and techniques without the risk of failure due to fear responses.

*[Toryu • Spite Breaker]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
An unorthodox use of swordsmanship, the practitioner rushes the opponent and leaps at them, attempting to land on their shoulders. Should the practitioner succeed, they will forcefully shift their weight onto the opponent's shoulders, potentially unbalancing them. Opponents with an Acrobatic technique of an equal or higher rank than this technique can resist having their guard be disrupted. Otherwise, the opponent will be suddenly thrown off balance, leaving their head, neck, or torso exposed for the practitioner to attack with their sword.

*[Toryu • Fury Guard]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A technique allowing the practitioner to partially customize their focus on defense or offense, the practitioner guards against attacks while immediately attacking subsequent openings with their free hand. The form this takes depends on which hand they prioritize for defense. Should they choose to guard with their sword hand, the practitioner deflects the attacks outwards, away from the opponent's center of mass where their guard is strongest, and responds by launching unarmed counter-attacks like a punch, elbow, or throw. If they choose to guard with their unarmed hand, the practitioner blocks the attack by intercepting the haft of the weapon or the opponent's wrists with the back of their fist or forearm and counter with more lethal slashes and stabs from their sword.

*[Toryu • Misery Drop]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength.
A variant of the Spite Breaker, the practitioner rushes the opponent and leaps at them, spinning and attempting to land on their shoulders, clinching their legs around the opponent's neck. Should the practitioner succeed, they will forcefully shift all of their weight back, potentially unbalancing the opponent. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can resist having their guard be disrupted. Otherwise, the opponent will be suddenly thrown back and flipped down before slamming face-first into the ground. The practitioner can roll up onto the opponent's back with this motion, offering a clean stab down into the back of the opponent's skull to finish them off.

*[Toryu • Grave Digger]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength.
Rushing in towards the opponent either as a charging attack or after evading an opponent's attack, the practitioner starts with their arms crossed in front of their chests before quickly sweeping their elbows up over their heads, the flat of the practitioner's front-most elbow potentially striking the opponent under their chin. While this elbow strike can cause considerable damage by itself, the purpose of the elbow strike is to cause the opponent to dodge. With their arms crossed over their heads, the practitioner braces their unarmed hand against their sword arm and swings both down at once. The additional torque provided by the unarmed hand allows the sword strike that follows to immediately accelerate to maximum speed. The practitioner can twist or sidestep during this downswing to compensate for where the opponent is dodging.

*[Toryu • Crushing Despair]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength, *[Toryu • Cobblestone Skeleton].
A brutal, raw technique, the practitioner quickly dashes into an opponent's range, often after avoiding an enemy attack, momentarily torquing the muscles in their legs before launching a powerful knee strike directly up into the target's diaphragm and sternum in an attempt to stagger the opponent. Aside from potentially fracturing or even breaking bones, the opponent can potentially be left winded. This sudden attack can potentially open up many vulnerable areas on the opponent's body for possible finishing moves.
Numakon Clan - TaijutsuShow
D Rank:
Perfect Crime
D-rank Taijutsu Manuever
By quickly spitting out their tongue and sucking it back in, the clan member can grab hold of small objects up to the size of a small scroll, and hide it within their mouths, able to speak/act normally while it is there without ruining the object.

Spot on Spit
D-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Thanks to their excessively dexterous and powerful tongue, the clan member has learned to work the spit in their mouth, aim, and shoot it towards targets with great distance, speed, and precision. The distance that this spit can fly with the aid of this technique is [Strength+Taijutsu]/2. The speed at which it flies with the aid of this technique is [Speed+Taijutsu]/2. This allows them to put out one glob of spit per post, and a single glob of spit is enough to cover a 1mx1m area. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the spit, it has an impact strength of 1 regardless of speed or distance traveled.

Throwing Rocks
D-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Prerequisite: Spot on Spit
By toying with the saliva in their mouth for a full post, the user forcefully hardens it after a full post. Normal actions and maneuvers may be performed in this time, but their mouth and tongue will be otherwise occupied. Once the saliva has hardened in the center, though still partially liquid on the outside, the user can spit it out following the rules of Spot on Spit in terms of speed and distance traveled. Because the saliva is hard for this jutsu, it impacts with a blunt force equal to [saliva strength+taijutsu+strength/3].

Wall Climber
D-rank Taijutsu Manuever
By applying a small amount of their special saliva to their hands and/or feet, the clan member can stick their palms and feet to objects such as walls and climb them with relative ease and little fear of falling.

Lockpicker
D-rank Taijutsu Manuever
By rolling their saliva in their mouth until it's almost hardened, the clan member can spit into a lock. The saliva will ooze into the locking mechanism, and the parts it seeps into will harden first after just a moment or two. Using this, the lock can be opened with a quick twist of the saliva outside of the lock. This does, however, ruin the lock, making it unable to be opened up by a key ever again.
C Rank:
Hunting Javelin
C-rank Taijutsu Manuever
Prerequisite: Spot on Spit
By toying with the saliva in their mouth for most of a post, and slowly drooling it out for the remainder, the user forcefully hardens it after a full post. Normal actions and maneuvers may be performed in this time, but their mouth and tongue will be otherwise occupied. Once the saliva has hardened in the center, though still partially liquid on the outside, the user can spit it out following the rules of Spot on Spit in terms of speed and distance traveled. Because the saliva is hard for this jutsu, it impacts with a piercing force equal to [saliva strength+taijutsu+strength/3].

History Setsuko was born and raised in River Country. She grew up on a simple rice farm, enjoying a simple life with both of her parents. The farm was relatively successful, but the way the nobles taxed them left her family in a state near poverty. Setsuko herself would often try to find odd jobs to earn what money she could the moment she was able, starting as young as eleven. She started training in the use of her swords around the same time her Numakon mutation was discovered, and she wanted to train how to fight in order to protect her family.

But sadly in the end she couldn't protect them. When she was thirteen her parents were unable to pay their taxes, and mercenaries came at the behest of the local nobles to 'claim what was theirs'. When they tried to take Setsuko herself as part of their claim, likely to sell off as a slave, things became ugly. Her parents tried to intervene and both were killed in the process. Setsuko fled her farm, taking refuge in a forest for a time.

She ended up under the tutelage of a wandering samurai for a time, another resident of River Country. When the wars came and many residents fled as refugees, Setsuko chose to stay. After being forced from her family farm and her home once already, she decided she couldn't do it again and chose to stay, claiming she would do what she could to protect those that remained, as well as she could.

Over time she came to meet these Titans herself, those that now stand in charge of River Country, and in making friends with them she got to know the youngest of their group, a dragon girl named Mika. The child seemed lost even among her new family, and her naivety of the dangers of the world struck Setsuko. After seeing the girl terrified from a run-in with a shinobi, Setsuko took it upon herself to protect the girl and now watches over her with a careful eye.
