Kyōhō Sato

[The Cleaving Swordsman]

[One must continue to put one foot in front of the other, revenge will be sweet.]

General Information Age: 26
Gender: Male
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 185 lbs.

Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Average facial features with eyebrows that are very straight and slightly diagonal in appearance as they come down a bit near the nose. A slightly long face with messy, unkempt light red hair that falls down to nearly shoulder length. Connecting the head to the body is a somewhat thin looking neck. The only noticeable feature on the man's face is a pair of slate grey irises that often attract attention from strangers who find them beautiful or unique from the normal eye colors.
  • Body: Sato has a rather skinny over all body build with lanky arms and legs, seeming to lack any real muscular definition while the body's limbs appear to be a bit longer than they should be.
  • Notable Features:The man's body tall body is notably "to thin" as if the young man is unable to put on any muscle at all. Leaving little define features like muscle tone. Only a few visible scars from his clashes against shinobi during the great war, leaving a long vertical scar on the left side of his plain looking face, a handful of scars on his arms, along with one long diagonal scar from right to left across his flat chest and torso from a wound that nearly claimed his life. Perhaps due to the uniqueness of the ronin's body, he appears to be in his early twenties.
Clothing/Accessories: A simple black, sleeveless kimono that is tied at the waist with white wrapping that stretches down to just above the man's ankles. Upon his feet are a simple pair of open toed sandals of a tan color. Depending on the weather, Sato will wear either a sleeveless black and white robe left open in the front that flows down to around one level. During colder climates he wears a similar robe only with sleeves. On the back off the robe can be found his family symbol embroidered in black with a diamond around it, something that he refuses to take off even as it makes him a target for those still hunting him from his actions in Dragon country during the great war.

Picture:

Normal Clothing appearance

Personality:
  • General:
A straight forward, genuinely kind man who was brought up in a loving household in which he was taught how to persist even during times of hardships. The man's sole desire is his focus to become stronger, becoming a fighter who is able to stand on the same level as the strongest shinobi and samurai. Due to his experiences in traveling around many countries with his late master, the man had always wished to help those in need. As was the way of his former master and company. Coming from a family of cooks, he welcomed such opportunities as to prepare meals for others. Normally found with a gentle smile and good attitude.

Where his line in the sand is drawn is the world of the shinobi, due to them hunting down and ending the life of his master over a secret scroll of chakra. Though he does not know the origin of the shinobi who hunted his master, in his mind they are all the same and objects of his vengeance. This was only compounded during the conflicts in the great war with the shinobi from Konoha who invaded and subjugated Dragon country and his homeland. While he can still show compassion, the war has left him distant and very far removed from the former genuinely decent person he once was under the tutelage of his late master. Some might even go as far as to describe the former honorable samurai to be more like a hired thug or criminal at this point in his life after he has now fled his homeland and family.

Is he too far gone to return back to his former life as a quiet samurai? That is left to see as his current navigational course only continues to push him down a rather dark and windy road that is far from the higher road he walked alongside his former master...
  • Hopes/Dreams: All his former dreams as a swordsman have either faded or been pushed away as foolish, only living for a chance to take pieces of his revenge against the world of shinobi, with Konoha pushed to the top of the list for their actions against his homeland and for the scars he sport's on his body from the clashes against the ninja from the Hidden Leaf.
  • Fears: Being unable to keep his promise to his master.
  • Combat Mentality: Sato's style of combat is based upon his usage of his elastic body combined with basic taijutsu and his two "machetes" to take down targets. Using the unique striking capabilities of the flexible and extending body of his to strike in ways that catch opponent's off guard or from odd angles while combined various styles of swordsmanship he's learned in his travels.

First Ability
Sutoretchi:

A secret ability of the Kyōhō that allows them to manipulate their unique bodies to stretch. Due their multiple miniature bones within their body and their specialty technique, they are able to stretch and control their bodies above the capabilities of a normal Human. Those with the ability of the Kyōhō can stretch their bodies to their will, retaining their full control of their bodies so long as they have an appropriate Endurance stat. Their bodies may extend past the listed 'limits' but control and versatility will be limited without the use of specific supplementary taijutsu.

Machete TaijutsuShow
Machete Weapon Style:
Being an unbalanced weapon, one can’t fence with the machete but rather must rely on fast footwork and evasive body movement as the first line of defense, while parrying and blocking remains a less preferred mode of use (but still has its place). A machete can be used at an extended range as well as in close quarters when the second hand comes into play for controlling the opponent.

Requires: [Close Quarters Combat], [Perception], and [Sword Weapons]
Chop
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The user arcs their machete and chops at their target. Instead of a slash attack commonly associated with the machete, this attack places all of the impact at the point of contact to literally chop the target into two pieces. Though useful in multiple instances the effectiveness of the chop can be seen most prominently when taking off the limbs of people who underestimate the simple strike.

Slash
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The user arcs their machete and slashes at their target in an attempt to hit a large surface area. This can be done in a variety of different directions and can be quite devastating to those that are impacted by the blade as the wound is often quite deep and runs across wherever it connected.

Side Step Slash
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: [Slash]
After stepping up beside the target or sidestepping an attack from the target, the user utilizes a quick striking method, drawing a very firm slash across the side, ribcage or arm of the target. The user slashes with the intent to both injure and startle the opponent, hoping to catch them off guard and disrupt the flow of their attacks. This particular technique is meant to dig as deep as possible, many times slashing down into the bones to cause as much long term damage as possible.

Pivot
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
In the case the user needs to rapidly switch directions or move away from something without losing speed, by planting their next step firmly, they will be able to pivot on it allowing him to redirect themselves up to forty five degrees and continue on their path without losing any speed. This is particularly useful for performing feints.

Step Step Chop
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: [Chop], 10 Speed
When a target approaches with a swing-like attack at the user they will simply step back out of range from the incoming attack while countering with a sudden downward chop aimed at the limb of whatever/whoever attacked them. This techniques aims to severe the outstretched limb of the attack.

Hammering Chop
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: [Chop]
A technique that utilizes the thick spine of the user’s Machete’s. The user will perform a slash with one machete aiming to force a block from the opponent before then performing a powerful downward chop with the other weapon after flipping the blade over. This allows for them to use the second blade like a hammer as they drive the heavy weapon’s thick spine down onto the spine of their other weapon, attempting to break their opponent’s blocking weapon in two under the force of the impact.

Body and MindShow

[Vision of the Swordsman]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: Perception
Developed of years of training with his late master and placing himself in dangerous situations that walked the thin line between life and death. The swordsman's visual acuity has reached a level that almost nothing is able to escape from his visual range. Firstly, allow for him to accurately see out to [30] of meters in foggy, misty, or cloudy conditions (such as while in the effect of a smoke bomb), at night or other low light vision, or through the natural distortions caused by water.

His ability to track the movement of objects, weapon, and other targets has also increased to a super human level. Allowing him to track a total number of targets to his [Endurance/10], at any one time seeing them in perfect clarity as long as they are not moving at a [Speed] greater than his own. As a side effect of this level of mental and physical training Sato's normal range of sight is also doubled in normal or favorable conditions.

[Expose the World]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: Perception
The user’s has trained their sense of hearing to such a degree as to allow for them to be able to pick up the very slightest of sounds from vast distances compared to the normal human. With his mind, Sato has managed to combine his hearing and mental facets to formulate the sounds and echoes of each and every sound created around him. This in turn allowing the swordsman to manifest a mental image of the world surrounding himself, allowing for him to visualize a nigh 360 degree view of the battlefield within range.

This ability allows the user to fight though this mental overlay of his surrounds, allowing him to visualize the sounds and echoes from up to 80 meters away. Working through smoke, debris, underground, and even from behind cover. It also grants the user the ability to detect stealthier opponents not using a matching level stealth technique, and listen in on distant conversations.

SutoretchiShow

Quick Jab
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
This is a signature technique of the Kyōhō clan. This technique aids the user to be able to hit someone who is a little bit further away than normal. By focusing their Kekkei Genkai into their forearm, they are able to extend it forward based on the user's Endurance stat.

Long Kick
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
This is a signature technique of the Kyōhō clan. This technique aids the user to be able to hit someone who is a little bit further away than normal. By focusing their ability to their shin, the user is capable of extending their leg forward based on the user's Endurance stat.

Basic Serpent Control
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
When controlling a limb or their tongue after focusing on their elasticity in the body part they are able to manipulate the path of the limb from start to finish when striking or attacking causing for it to be more unpredictable like the head of a serpent. Allowing for it to slip through openings in the opponent's defense.

Bent Strike
D-Rank Taijutsu Technique
The user must focus their elasticity into their striking limb. This allows for the limb when blocked or an opponent is behind an object to have the limb bend around or arch around whatever is blocking their path in order to continue the attack striking at the target.

Soften the Blow
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
This technique allows the user to elasticize a part of their body that they know is going to be hit. This allows the user to soften the blow and turn a blunt attack that could cause damage, into a minor pain reducing the force of the incoming blows by blunt attacks by ten strength.

Head and Neck
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
With a full understanding of the user's own body. By focusing their elasticity to their neck it allows them to extend and move their neck in unlikely positions and unbelievable ways. Moving it in such ways as to allow for them to turn it to look 180 degrees and to avoid killing blows to the head. EX: Dodging a Kunai, Sword, or even a punch.

Tongue Hand
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user must focus their elasticity to their tongue. When applied, the user can use their tongue like a hand and extend it forward. By wrapping their tongue around objects, they have the same strength and speed as their hand and arm would.

Whip Choke
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The user focuses elasticity in one of their arm then thrust it forward. Based on their Endurance Stat, they can go for as long as their limits are. When the arm reaches the target the arm expands attempting to wrap around the targets neck. When at the limit of distance the arm would tighten around the Target's neck, causing a choking action that can be broken if the target has a equal strength to that of the user.

ToryuShow
Toryu Kenjutsu:
Toryu Kenjutsu is a sword style originating from the Land of Pebbles that focuses on not just performing kenjutsu but also weaving close quarters style taijutsu into the blade work. Toryu's specialty is not only learning to capably slash a sword with one hand but also learning to use the hands, joints, legs and even the head to make frighteningly dangerous close quarters fighters. An inelegant style, it is commonly associated with the more 'rough' samurai but in truth it's reliance on two opposing impulses and control of the body makes it one of the more difficult Kenjutsu styles to learn. While usable with most blades, experienced fighters often prefer wakizashi, ninjato and even tanto daggers instead of katana for increased mobility.
  • Requires: [Upper Body], [Sword] Concentrations

*[Toryu • Skipping Stone]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The signature Stance of Toryu, practitioners relax the muscles in their bodies, gaining additional flexibility in their movements in how they approach the enemy, how they retreat, how they evade attacks, and how they attack the opponent. This Stance allows the practitioner to more easily read opponent's attacks and defend against them by evading in unusual ways, such as ducking, bending around, and quickly sidestepping attacks without needlessly exposing themselves to additional attacks. This fleet-footed Stance lets the practitioner mix up their movements to confuse and misdirect the opponent, allowing them to attack lesser-known openings in the opponent's guard. It also allows the practitioner to rapidly and reflexively change the angle, position and grip of their weapon with minimal movement, allowing them multiple manners in which they can attack the opponent or defend against attacks.

*[Toryu • Sinking Quicksand]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 8 Strength.
One of Toryu's many grappling techniques, the practitioner steps in close to the opponent, slamming their heel into the opponent's foot to lock the target in place. In the same movement, the practitioner grabs the opponent's arm and flips them over their back, slamming them to the ground unless the opponent has an Acrobatics technique of an equal or higher rank than this technique. The prone position this leaves the opponent in leaves them exposed to an attack of opportunity from the practitioner's weapon after executing this technique.

*[Toryu • Cobblestone Skeleton]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
A practitioner of Toryu is capable of attacking with every part of their body, even their heads. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity and experience with executing palm strikes, heel strikes, knee strikes, elbow strikes, and headbutts/skull bashes just as effectively as regular punches, kicks, and sword strikes. This Discipline allows the practitioner to consistently execute these kinds of attacks while minimizing or eliminating openings in their defenses or shock/damage they would experience while using these kinds of strikes.

*[Toryu • Lethal Familiarity]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Many of the Toryu techniques would put the user in incredibly daring positions where a single mistake could instantly spell disaster for the swordsman. As a result, Toryu practitioners must train themselves constantly to avoid letting their fears distract them from their task. A practitioner with this technique has learned to shut out fear in the heat of combat, allowing them to perform attacks and techniques without the risk of failure due to fear responses.

*[Toryu • Granite Epitaph]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 25 Strength.
After much training with grappling, clinching, blocking, deflecting, and parrying weapons, the practitioner gains skin as sturdy as rock, allowing them even more avenues for defense and attack. This Discipline represents the practitioner's body conditioning for toughening their skin all over their bodies, especially on their hands. This makes the practitioner's skin harder to cut or penetrate, and it allows the practitioner to perform normally self-destructive feats, such as blade catches, without needlessly harming themselves.

ZantouShow
Zantou:

The ancient warriors of the Frost Country, battling both against harsh, unforgiving climates and constant attacks from outside forces, developed Zantou, a special style of Kenjutsu to fight back against invaders while defending even the strongest of arctic gates. Unlike most other styles, which often make use of highly technical swordplay, elaborate footwork, and blinding speed, Zantou attacks the mind of the opponent and defeats him both in body and in soul. Zantou is unique amongst the traditional kenjutsu styles in that it mandates the use of twin swords. While most practitioners opt for pairs of kodachi or ninjato for superior defense while maintaining a strong offense and adequate reach, any pair of swords can be used with this style. A combination of intense mental focus, quick and powerful strikes, and harnessing one's will to influence themselves and their opponents using Kiai, Zantou brings the body, mind, and soul of the warrior together in a fierce union, becoming an embodiment of the blades they wield.

Requires: [Sword Weapons], [Perception], [Deft Hands] Concentrations.

*[Zantou • Winter Solstice]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The basic Stance of Zantou, the practitioner holds one blade forward, parallel to the ground, and holds the other high over the head, pointing toward the opponent. The low blade grants the practitioner the ability to quickly defend against an opponent's attack while the blade raised overhead allows the practitioner to either quickly attack or counterattack with a powerful downward swing or thrust. This pairing of defense and offense serves as one of the cores of Zantou's swordsmanship. Drawing in a deep breath, the practitioner also gathers up their energy and releases a kiai. This Stance allows the practitioner to ignore non-critical distractions and minor environmental factors, such as small amounts of excess heat, small amounts of excess cold, small amounts of fatigue, and even small amounts of pain, allowing them to focus entirely on their opponents' movements and the tasks at hand. While in this Stance, the practitioner is conferred with a +2 increase to Strength and +1 increase to Will Power but suffers a -2 penalty to Chakra Pool and -1 penalty to Control. The practitioner may end this Stance whenever they so wish.

*[Zantou • Ambidexterity]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After practicing for a long amount of time with the concept of using both of their hands with equal skill, the user has developed a level of ambidexterity that allows them to utilize both hands equally and as effectively without any penalty. This extends to other methods of combat or simple everyday life as well.

*[Zantou • Winter River Flows]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The physical training and mental focus encouraged by Zantou allows for the practitioner to adapt quickly and take advantage of opportunities to attack when they present themselves in combat. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to alter the direction of their blade mid-cut. This can be used to work around a block, or simply to act as a powerful feint and strike all in the same motion without stopping. This Discipline can make a Zantou practitioner’s movements difficult to predict in a fight.

*[Zantou • Eyes of the Snow Owl]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Ambidexterity].
The practitioner of Zantou must be capable of both defending and attacking within the same movement. This Discipline represents the practitioner's training and capacity to block an attack with one sword while simultaneously attacking with the other while wielding two or more weapons, making it more difficult for opponents to adequately block or counter the practitioner's attacks.

*[Zantou • Shifting Winds]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Ambidexterity].
Complete control of the weapons one is wielding is a necessity to ensure a practitioner of Zantou is proficient in the style. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to switch either one of their swords (or both, if they wish) from standard grip to reverse grip reflexively, the movements to do so firmly trained into their muscle memory. This allows the Zantou practitioner to ensure that the cutting edges of their blades are always facing the opponent whenever they want them to be. This Discipline can make a Zantou practitioner’s movements difficult to predict in a fight.

*[Zantou • Cold Snap]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter River Flows].
While slashing an opponent, the practitioner twists their wrist while simultaneously channeling the momentum of the first attack into another slash in a different direction, allowing the practitioner to attack another area of the opponent's body with the same sequence of movements.

*[Zantou • Falling Icicle]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter River Flows].
This technique can be performed as a standalone technique, often supplemented by feinting a slash, or can be linked to another attack. The practitioner twists their wrist and channels their momentum into a downward thrust, lodging their blade into the opponent and potentially pinning them to the ground or another surface. The opponent can force the practitioner away if their Strength stat is higher than the practitioner's Strength stat, but doing so hastily can cause additional damage as the blade continues to expand the wound even further. Conversely, the practitioner can opt to twist the blade in the wound and pull it out, causing further damage to the opponent and possibly severing important tendons or veins.

*[Zantou • Frigid Gust]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Zantou harnesses the inner strength of its warrior to cause the opponent to falter. Intentionally clashing with the opponent's weapon at a weak point, the practitioner immediately torques the muscles in their arm to violently push and twist the weapon in a single direction. An opponent affected by this technique must have a Strength higher than the practitioner's Strength to avoid losing their grip on their weapon or being disarmed entirely. The practitioner can immediately follow up on this opening with a slash with the other weapon if they so wish.

*[Zantou • Winter Snow]
C-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter Solstice].
Building upon its parent technique, this Stance further builds upon further sharpening and refining the practitioner's capacity to focus on the opponent and the task at hand. The practitioner holds one blade forward, parallel to the ground, and holds the other high over the head, pointing toward the opponent. While in this Stance, the practitioner can more easily ignore non-critical distractions, focusing solely on the opponent(s). They also are able to ignore moderate heat, moderate cold, moderate fatigue, and even a moderate amount of pain. They can read the opponents' muscle contractions and body positioning more accurately in this stance, and they are able to read both the direction and the type of attack that is imminent. The opponent can still effectively mask their movements if they have a movement-concealing Stealth technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. While in this Stance, the practitioner is conferred with a +2 increase to Strength and Will Power but suffers a -2 penalty to Chakra Pool and Control. The practitioner may end this Stance whenever they so wish.

*[Zantou • Wolf Pack Paradigm]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Much of a human's movements are inefficient and waste energy, especially in regards to combat. The practitioner has learned how to fully synchronize and harmonize the movements of their body in and out of combat. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge and mastery of kinetic linking, the efficient movement and transferal of potential energy from one part of the body to the other, eliminating potentially wasted Endurance and chakra and allowing the practitioner to last longer than ordinary in a fight.

*[Zantou • Wolf Pack Prowl]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The practitioner carefully scrutinizes his opponent's defenses and attacks whatever openings present themselves. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity to quickly recognize the base effective range of an opponent's weapon and inherent weaknesses in their defenses, including if there are none. This technique does not provide supernatural insight into an opponent's techniques which could alter those parameters, but this technique can be used in conjunction with other information the practitioner has to build a complete mental profile on the opponent's capabilities.

*[Zantou • Wolf Pack Fangs]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Using the opponent's own guard as an avenue for attack, the practitioner will feint as to clash against the opponent's defense. Then, as the blade's edge is about to make contact, the practitioner will twist the said blade and push the blade forward as the flat of their weapon makes contact against the opponent's guard. This allows the practitioner to initiate a slash or thrust against the opponent by sliding the flat of the blade along the opponent's guard. This tricky technique can allow the practitioner to exploit inherent weaknesses in the opponent's guard and even push through an opponent's defenses to attack them.

*[Zantou • Wolf Pup Bite]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
As opposed to most attacks, which aim to do as much damage as possible as in few movements as necessary, this technique aims to slowly whittle away an opponent from the outside in. Whenever an opponent parries or blocks an attack, the practitioner can quickly sidestep, dragging the weapon along the opponent's guard and making a small incision somewhere along their outer extremities. While the cuts themselves are shallow and may appear superficial at first, continued use of this technique against an enemy can result in significant blood loss. Each successful application of this technique will leave a wide, shallow cut that will increase the pace at which the opponent loses blood and, in turn, Endurance.

*[Zantou • Twisting Blizzard]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Ambidexterity], *[Zantou • Shifting Winds].
The practitioner uses their skills with their weapons to obfuscate their next attacks. By constantly spinning the blades with their hands and fingers, randomly switching directions, the practitioner can reflexively choose not only what kind of strike to use and which direction to launch the attack from, but also whether to use standard grip or reverse grip the split-second before launching the attack. This can make the practitioner very unpredictable in a fight. This technique can be used in conjunction with other techniques to help mask the practitioner's intentions.

*[Zantou • Polar Bear Conservation]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Wolf Pack Paradigm].
The Zantou practitioner has learned to more precisely control their Endurance expenditures through the use of controlled and precise breathing. This Discipline represents the practitioner's proficiency at constantly using efficient breathing techniques both in and out of battle, further conserving Endurance and chakra. This Discipline ensures that only the exact amount of energy needed for each movement is expended, not a single iota more. This allows the Zantou fighter to endure and persist in battle long after other fighters would have passed out. This Discipline also allows the practitioner to function normally in oxygen-deprived environments, such as very high altitudes and vacuums. The practitioner can hold their breath on-demand for a number of posts equal to their Endurance stat.

History
Historical AccountsShow

Born into a small portion of the Kyōhō family that resided within the borders of dragon country, though the family is not well known outside the borders of the country that are rather well known for their cooking skills. Even as a young child the boy whom was named Sato was taught about cooking and preparing various delicacies that would make the mouth of even a noble man water with anticipation for a taste. But the young Sato truly had lofty dreams after first seeing a samurai at the age of eight and then a shinobi at the age of ten which allowed for him to understand just how ordinary him and the rest of his family seemed to be. He desired for so much more than just becoming another cook for some noble family or restaurant as he desired to be able to train and fight his way to reach a level at which he would be able to stand as equals with the mighty samurai and shinobi that reigned supreme within the world as he understood it.

From a young age the boy tried to search out people to train him and even convinced his father to let him train some bladesmenship from a few of the old warriors that had settled down in retirement within the small village. While it was gratifying to learn some techniques and to soon after discover the secret of his family in that they were able to manipulate their bodies in a rather unique way which helped to explain why his body had always been different from the other kids he'd grown up with. But Sato was truly just touching the tip of the iceberg when it came to understanding his own body and at the age of sixteen after having crafted himself a pair of machete style cleavers, his own personal cooking knives, that doubled as functioning fight blades he would depart from his home under the promise that one day he would return and his family would be able to live an easy life.

After this the young man began to wonder as he traveled outside of his home country for the first time where he met a handful of different people, a few whom were able to pass on to him some fighting techniques of different styles that helped to start broadening the inexperienced fighter's eyes to the world of sword combat. But one thing that couldn't be tough was the fighting spirit that resided within the young dragon countryman's heart and a strong moral compass. Using these two things he hoped to be able to overcome any tribulation that fell down upon him in order to rise up stronger than before and one day in the future hope to achieve his personal desire.

Something that he felt that he could final realize after meeting a strange swordsman who had a rather funny way of talking and carried a basket of swords upon his back. Though the man was a bit odd his was someone with tremendous fighting spirit and a good heart. Perhaps somewhat unwillingly through the constant persistence of Sato the older man took the rookie under his wing as an official student. After having a pair of machete crafted for the young swordsman the pair set off on a long journey, during which they often traveled along an old chubby monk who spoke of safeguarding four great evils.

This journey would only last two years as the two man spent time traveling to various countries to study their swordsmanship styles in order to progress their own personal styles. It was in the countryside of River country, his master's homeland that the pair were ambushed by a group of village shinobi. Unknown to Sato, his master had acquired a secret scroll of chakra that he intended to use for his students and to even eventually spread the knowledge to others outside od even them. The man had always been a teacher who was able to inspire others and develop even a novice such as himself into a proper swordsman with a strong future.

Even then the young man found himself still lacking when compared to the shinobi who had tracked down his master and himself. Though he wished to help he was pushed away by the older swordsman whose only worlds were to live and grow stronger after saving him early in the fight against the ninja who outnumbered them. It was then that he made a decision that he regrets still to this day, that he did as his master ordered and fled until his legs could no longer carry him. His master was able to fight the shinobi to a standstill for quite some time due to his inherent abilities and mass weapon fighting style. But one man could only last for so long and in the end collapsed from pure exhaustion of pushing his body and mind far beyond normal human limits.

The swordsman's body and items were taken away, no trace but the blood stained terrain that had been destroyed by the fighting of one swordsman against many shinobi. It was this image that sometimes still comes up in the man's dreams two years later as the young swordsman walked a harsh path of strengthening his body and mind in order to seek out and avenge his master. Wishing to carry on the man's dreams of becoming a warrior who stood above others and could establish a peaceful world through the strength of his own two swords. A much different man from that day two years ago Sato has emerged from his solitary training and seeks to carry out his mission.

But his timing in his reemergence to the world was met head on with the flames of war that consumed the smaller countries of the world as the shinobi began their rapid expansion into lands that they were once friendly neighbors with. And these troops of shinobi would arrive to his own homeland as they attacked and seized control of Dragon Country, despite his own forceful opposition against the shinobi from the Land of Fire, village hidden within the leaves. But his own land was not one of warriors and a single man could only hold back the tidal wave that was the Shinobi for so long before he was overwhelmed. Fighting with all the skills that he'd learned from his former master and years of personal training was enough to cause the invaders to attempt to hunt him down. The once gentle swordsman had become something much darker as he didn't hold back from killing a ninja when given the chance, still enveloped with the darkness of revenge fueled even more by the invasion attempt from Konoha.

Yet, in the end he was forced to flee leaving behind his family and homeland because of his hostile actions against the now occupying nation, he was simply not strong enough alone even with all his abilities. Marked a murder, among other things, the red headed ronin was forced to transition to rather less than popular places were murderers and thieves seek refuge as he moved to the coast. With hunter's looking for him he fled far outside the borders of Dragon country as he found work in a rather unsavory way that the younger version of him would have never allowed himself to fall to, working as hired muscle for criminals and pirates...
