As a Titan you are seen, you are heard, you are respected, and you are welcome. To this end no single Titan is treated as greater than another, though each has their skills. Each is welcome to speak and challenge, but all challenges are expected to be resolved with honesty to one's self and each other, and the unity of the family preserved. The same is required of each Titan to those outside, as all are welcome within the family lest they prove themselves otherwise.

Yamanaka, Inoriki

phpBB [video]

General Information
Type: Henchman
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Appearance:
  • Face/head: Inoriki's face is rather soft with a sharp pointed chin and large eyes. A strong nose hovers over a wide mouth with no sign of wrinkles or lines. His eyes are icy blue with high brows. Atop the man's head is a long mane of grey/white hair that falls like curtains over his shoulders and down the back, terminating just below the chest/shoulder blades. Occasionally this will be tied up in a basic pony tail if expecting to being physically engaged.
  • Body: A slim frame with little bulk muscle and soft features, Inoriki betrays no true physical power. His chest and core has mild fat but one can tell he retains a healthy build. His skin is abnormally pale though, almost white in some harsh lights. Aside from the odd scuff of dirt of patch of hair in normal places his body is nearly unmarred by scars or blemish.
  • Attire: A shirt with a deep V neck and several unnecissary belts are worn beneath a heavy ankle length leather trench coat. He wears a pair of black denim cargo style pants with a heavy studded leather belt and several small pounches. His feet are covered with dark to black leather combat style boots that lace up to mid calf. Black leather gloves with a large cuff are worn as well. On the right arm is a metal band that carries the visage of a bird of pray. The other side is a ghostly face. All in all, Inoriki enjoys dressing as if he's the reaper himself, regardless of what others might think.
Personality:
  • General: Inoriki cares about himself and his business first and foremost. He'll analyze any potential relationship, situation, or deal with the soul thought of what he can get out of it. If necessary, he will be underhanded and cruel in his dealings, not above blackmail, torture, or murder to get his way.

Despite this, Inoriki honors the contract above all else. If an agreement is signed he will uphold his end of the bargain, if only to the letter of that deal. Expectation is the same to any other party involved. Those who fail to do so are given a single chance to correct the mistake before recompense is taken via any means he deems suitable to the offense.

During all conversation, business or not, he holds an air of polightness and sophistication. He will discuss nearly any topic at great length, showing particular interest when his company is on about their passions. He encourages others to seek their bliss in all things and indulge in their earthly desires, so long as he doesn't have to pay for it.
  • Hopes/Dreams: The measure of a man is not his estate but those who live upon it. While fully committed to gathering as much wealth as possible and growing his empire, Inoriki longs for recognition and respect. Hedonistic to an extreme, he surrounds himself with fine luxury from song to whores. but true bliss is when he's enjoying respect and luxury with others who can appreciate it.
  • Fears: Having left Konoha and voided his military contract, Inoriki fears that debt will be collected. While he doesn't keep his head down, he is paranoid that any meeting or contract could be a Konoha operative coming with either irons for his wrists, or a blade for his back.
  • Combat Mentality: Inoriki is completely avoidant of any sort of close quarters physical engagement. Understanding of his physical limitations when confronted, he'll analyze any situation and get as much Intel as possible, sending that information to allies rather than directly engaging.

Abilities and Concentrations
Concentrations (3/10)Show
Conscious ControlShow
The Yamanaka have created a secret series of ninjutsu techniques that allows the user to seize control, manipulate, and erase information from a target’s conscious mind by overwhelming it with their own. This is most commonly used to take control of the target, allowing the Yamanaka to gain a situational advantage in battle. It can also be used to read the mind of a target, and create mental blocks in their thinking process.
Requires: Above average Control. While supplemental techniques can be of any rank, techniques that involve the manipulation of consciousness must be at least D-rank. Additional guidelines:
  • A Yamanaka cannot perform any jutsu their opponent knows, even while in possession of their body.
  • A Yamanaka can perform their own jutsu while in possession of an opponent, provided the opponent's body is compatible with the technique. (Example: A Yamanaka with Katon ninjutsu can perform said jutsu through their opponent if the opponent has the Katon concentration). The only exception to this is Yamanaka Clan techniques, which can be performed regardless of the opponent they are possessing. This drains from the Yamanaka's chakra pool, not the opponents.
  • A Yamanaka cannot do anything that would explicitly damage an opponent under their control, such as stabbing themselves with a Kunai, without damaging their real bodies as well.
  • A Yamanaka does not have inherent access to a possessed target's memories or thoughts, and must use a separate technique to gather such information.
Any jutsu that requires the full use of the user's consciousness will cause the body to go limp, while any jutsu that uses a piece of the consciousness will elicit a Will Power debuff based on Control for the duration of the technique:
  • 1-9 Control: -1 Will Power
  • 10-19 Control: -3 Will Power
  • 20-24 Control: -6 Will Power
  • 25-34 Control: -9 Will Power
  • 35 Control: -12 Will Power
The effectiveness of Yamanaka techniques are dependent on the Will Power stat of the target:
The formula for this calculation is: Control versus the opponents Will Power.
If the user's Control is higher than the opponents Will Power, their technique will be successful.
SensoryShow
Sensor
Sensors are shinobi who are able to activate a sixth sense which can locate and read chakra sources. Sensory is advantageous as it allows shinobi to perceive without using any of their conventional senses, which can easily be deceived. Sensors are able to collect a lot of information through the interpretation of this sixth sense.
Ninjutsu: Advanced ChannelingShow
This user has superb chakra control, and has learned to perform jutsu by channeling, without the use of hand seals. The user can channel any Ninjutsu that is designed to be channeled, and there are no specified parameters in which a jutsu must fall to be channeled by this method.

Jutsu
SensoryShow
C:
Sensory: Ghost Sight
C - Nin
Inoriki has set up a jutsu trigger that can be toggled to allow him to see chakra sources within 25 meters of himself. This sight doesn't pierce solid objects but can tell him if an object is being manipulated by a jutsu. The jutsu is revealed by a slight brightening of his eyes as chakra swirls around them and he sees his target's natural chakra signatures in texture and color. Should he see a spirit host he'll witness the spirit as a separate chakra source, but gain no further insight. While active this has a continual chakra drain, but also imparts a -1 control.

Sensory: Elemental Sight
C - Nin
Requires: Sensory: Ghost Sight
Inoriki channel or do seals to allow for his Spirit's Sight to detect elemental natures of chakra. Any elemental chakra used will be detected as a different color within the individual or the jutsu (brown for doton, yellow for raiton, ect.) He will only see someone's elemental affinity via this at first, not being aware if they're truly skilled in elemental ninjutsu until they prove so otherwise. If he is able to focus on an individual for multiple posts, other elemental affinities will become known, revealing 1 conc per post of concentration.

Sensory: Control Gauge
C - Nin
Requires: Sensory: Ghost Sight
By focusing on an individual while using his ghost sight Inoriki can begin to look at their tenketsu and see the chakra flowing through them. After a full post of observation he can estimate if they're roughly better or worse than he currently is. With another post of observation he can get a feel within five of where they're at. However, he'd need to observe them actively using a ninjutsu to get an exact pin on what their chakra control is.

Sensory: Mental Fortitude
C - Nin
Requires: Sensory, Yamanaka
Inoriki will channel or do the proper seals and then extend a fragment of his consciousness out to 25 meters at a speed of [control], max [speed]. This mass is a transparent wisp of white/blue chakra that's difficult to see outright. This uses only a portion of his mind, allowing him to act and respond physically, just with his WP lowered accordingly. By brushing against someone's mind he can get a rough estimate of their WP, determining if they're more mentally sturdy than himself or not. If allowed to investigate with this ghost self he can get more complete understanding, sensing their WP to within five of the actual stat.

Sensory: Chakra Potency
C - Nin
Requires: Ghost Sight
Inoriki can study an individual target for a post and channel more into his "Ghost Sight". Doing so allows him to gain an estimate of the size of the chakra well within a creature of object. Upon a glance he can notice if its greater or less than his own. With a full post's study he can estimate to within five, never being able to get an exact picture. Note, this can give false readings as modes that increase pool, or various levels of exhaustion, will only allow him to see what is there currently, not the base.

Sensory: What Makes You Special?
C - Nin
Requires: Yamanaka, Mind's Eye
Inoriki must first establish mental contact with an individual in order to use this jutsu. Once contact is established he is able to read their mind, as well as their chakra signature, to fully explore their abilities. After either channeling or doing the seals for this jutsu he will begin to root through their mind, specifically looking for ability based information. After a full post he will gain access to the first ability if applicable, and a second post grants insight into a second, ect. If an ability is broken into multiple parts (I.E. Katsu's Parasite) it will treat each part separately as opposed to the whole. If at any point the Yamanaka loses contact via distance, WP, or otherwise, this fails to gather further information from point of lost contact forward. Any existing information will be retained.
YamanakaShow
E:
~Ninjutsu • Absent Mind, Rigid Body
E-ranked Ninjutsu
As the Yamanaka's consciousness leaves their body, they'll force chakra throughout their body in order to make it rigid, preventing it from falling over while their mind is absent. This drains a negligible amount of chakra every post due to being such a low ranked technique.

~Ninjutsu • Consciousness Return
E-Ranked Ninjutsu
A staple technique to the Yamanaka Clan, by channeling a small amount of chakra the Yamanaka can expel their consciousness from anything or anyone that it currently inhabits, returning all pieces of their consciousness to their body over the course of a full post.
D:
~Ninjutsu • Mind Lapse
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After the necessary hand seals, the Yamanaka will project a portion of their consciousness at a target at a speed of [Control] and a range of 10 meters. If the chakra makes contact with a target and the target has less Will Power than the user's Control, the target will forget whatever they were doing or had planned to do. However, it doesn't prevent future processes.

~Ninjutsu • Stow Away Mind
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After the necessary hand seals, the Yamanaka projects their consciousness at a target in at a speed of [Control] and a range of 10 meters. The Yamanaka does not attempt to take over the target's body, instead they sit in the background experiencing everything that the target does, causing the target to feel a strange presence while affected. This jutsu only functions properly if the target has less Will Power than the user's Control. Since this does not take control over the target's body, the Yamanaka will not receive any damage that the target receives. Lasts for 4 posts, during which the user's body goes limp.

~Ninjutsu • Thought Insertion
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the hand seals, the Yamanaka sends a portion of their consciousness out at a speed of [Control] and a range of 10 meters. If it makes contact with the target, the Yamanaka can insert a single thought into the target's head. Things such as "this is a bad idea", "Don't go in there" and "attack this." The target will be unable to discern where the thought appeared from if they have less Will Power than the user's Control. The user has a -1 Will Power for the duration of the technique.

~Ninjutsu • Piece of Mind
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the hand seals, the Yamanaka sends a portion of their consciousness out at a speed of [Control] to a range of 10 meters. If it makes contact with the target, the Yamanaka will elicit a debuff of -1 Will Power as they fill a portion of the target's consciousness with blank thought to slow down the target's thought process. This causes -1 Will Power in the Yamanaka themselves for the duration of the technique. The target will be unable to clear the blank spot if they have less Will Power than the user's Control

~Ninjutsu • Memory Exchange
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the hand seals, the Yamanaka will place their hand upon the head of a willing target, and summon up one of their own memories to be transferred into the target's brain. They can only exchange one memory, and it is a one-way transfer as the user can only transfer one memory and cannot receive any other memory. The target will only receive the visual experience of the memory, and will not feel the physical or mental effects of the memory. After the memory has been transferred the technique ends.

~Ninjutsu • Over Sensitivity
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the hand seals, the Yamanaka will shoot off a piece of their consciousness that travels at a speed of [Control] at their target. If successful the conscious will begin to overwork the target's senses, and overload it by working their senses double time making them hyper sensitive and susceptible to powerful lights, smells, temperatures, and etc. This technique endures for 3 posts while impeding a -1 Will Power penalty to the user as they focus overloading the target's conscious.
C:
~Ninjutsu • Mind Body Change
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After the necessary hand seals, the Yamanaka projects their consciousness towards a target with a speed of [Control] and a range of 25 meters. If this makes contact, the mind of the victim is forced to watch as the Yamanaka controls their actions. If the target has more Will Power than the user's Control, they can overpower the intruder and force them out of their body. Control allows them to control basic movement. It should be noted that any damage the possessed opponent suffers will be reflected on the Yamanaka's original body. If avoided or resisted, the consciousness takes one post to find its way back to the body. Lasts for 5 posts, during which the user's body goes limp.

~Ninjutsu • Communion of Mind with Mind
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After the necessary hand seals, the Yamanaka projects a portion of their consciousness with a speed of [Control] and a range of 25 meters. If this makes contact, the Yamanaka and the target will be able to relay their thoughts to one another. Only works on a willing target. Lasts for 5 posts, eliciting a -3 to Will Power for the duration.

What are you hiding?
C - Nin
After having formed a mental link with a target in some form the Yamanaka may channel or do the proper seals and then quickly searches their mind. This is specifically searching for information about the subjects carried equipment, attempting to find hidden details such as body mods or hidden weapons. This works by the amount of time he spends searching, giving him more information by the post. 1 post is all basic weapons. 2 posts is the existence of seals as well as any weaponry that may be hidden. 3 posts is the contents of any existing seals as well as details for those weapons. 4 posts is the exact intricate details of any and all weapons including special weapons. If at any point contact is broken via distance, the Yamanaka's control becoming less than the target's WP, or another viable means, this fails.

Who are you?
C - Nin
After having formed a mental link with a target in some form the Yamanaka may channel or do the proper seals and then quickly search their mind. This looks for personality details through memory banks and thoughts. They get a basic outline of the person's personality, and their combat style, though this does not give jutsu information nor ability information directly. If at any point contact is broken via distance, the Yamanaka's control becoming less than the target's WP, or another viable means, this fails.
B:
~Ninjutsu • Mind Transfer
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After the necessary hand seals, the Yamanaka projects their consciousness towards a target with a speed of [Control] and a range of 40 meters. If this makes contact, the mind of the victim is forced to watch as the Yamanaka controls their actions. If the target has more Will Power than the user's Control they will be able to fight off the Yamanaka's control. Control allows them to control movement, speech, and jutsu control based off of the restrictions of the Yamanaka. It should be noted that any damage the possessed opponent suffers will be reflected on the Yamanaka's original body. If avoided or resisted, the consciousness takes one post to find its way back to the body. Lasts for 6 posts, during which the user's body goes limp.

~Ninjutsu • Memory Rip
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, the Yamanaka places their hand upon the target's head as they pull a memory from the target to visualize and experience. From here the Yamanaka copies the memory for themselves being able to recall it at any time as if it were their own. However the Yamanaka may be resisted if the target has less Will Power than the user's Control. This will cause a painful disconnection for the Yamanaka as they are yanked out of the target's consciousness.

What're your skills?
B - Nin
After having formed a mental link with a target in some form the Yamanaka may channel or do the proper seals and then undergoes a prolonged search through the subject's mind. This specifically target's a person's jutsu knowledge, granting the Yamnaka a full list of jutsu known at a rate of 10 per post of searching, starting with D ranks and working up. If at any point contact is broken via distance, the Yamanaka's control becoming less than the target's WP, or another viable means, this fails.

History
Chapter 1Show
Inoriki was born into the Yamanka bloodline to a pair of loving parents. As he grew through the years he expressed deep interest in the mind and how it actually worked, indeed finding a way to manipulate it. His manipulations were purely natural at first, simply trying his best to get what he wanted from people through clever tongue and smile. However, it grew to such a point as some would flat out refuse to take him at face value. He always had an alternative agenda. Eventually he personally elected to join the academy on his own accord, and spent several hours a day trying to learn the Yamanaka's hidden style on his own.

The academy was already warned of his silver tongue and he was assigned an instructor that would have none of it. Maddened to the point of hatred Inoriki finally began to seek help from clan elders to develop his own mind much quicker. By the time he had left the academy he had learned two very important lessons. The first was to never try and manipulate someone who was wise to the situation. The second was that his Yamanaka bloodline could grant him mastery over someone's mental state.

His genin years found him taking more and more missions that required a diplomatic hand. His silver tongue had finally found a constructive use as he handled some tense situations, granted on a minor scale. When combat was presented he often took a back seat and tried to find openings before diving into the fray, however his physical ineptitude left even that difficult, relegating him to little more than a spectator. When his squad leader finally suggested him learning how to use the sensor style Inoriki wasted no time and went to work learning it, mastering the fundamentals relatively quickly.

Upon reaching a point where remaining a genin would be ridiculous Inoriki personally requested his unit to go to the chuunin exams. He was old for the rank and wished to advance finally to be able to move about more freely. However, his original request was denied on discovery of an attempted bribe. Distraught but not crushed he took to almost resigning from being a shinobi to persue a more lucrative and comfortable career. Inoriki set up a small business and began to run it well. Indeed, he was making a fair deal of money on a daily basis. However, something kept nagging at him come the end of every month and year. The village and then the daimyo wanted a cut of the money he was working hard to earn. It got to the point Inoriki once again began to delve into his Yamanaka abilities cutting raw deals and making record profits under the table, until he was discovered.

When he shady dealings came to light the village sent a task force to reclaim all the goods he owed back taxes on. This left him almost penniless. Without another resort he re-enlisted as a shinobi of the village, progressing his powerful mind further. Eventually his new squad leader signed them up for the chuunin exams, and he passed with remarkable colors for teamwork and support. His ability to get inside another person's mind, literally, won them the match very quickly. With the new rank of chuunin under his belt Inoriki thought it was time to reattempt his business but this time away from the village.

Biding his time and saving his money Inoriki began to set up plans for leaving and erasing his name from the books. Only the former of his plans would happen as he rounded up all his cash one day and made a trip out in a caravan wagon. He paid the guard's their tax, for the last time. As he neared the next village over Inoriki staged an assault on his caravan, leaving it but not the cash as "evidence" of his demise. From there he left and headed towards lands unknown, eventually establishing his business again. He used a ghost name but still held to some of his shady business dealings. He has constructed a small empire for himself now with wagons traveling for him to take his supplies from village to village. He ducks taxes left and right simply be using a different name, and duping the tax collector with his Yamanaka skills.
Chapter 2Show
Having spent a number of years living easy on an empire of wealth and luxery, Inoriki grew complacent. The merchant had several minor country leaders and revolutionaries alike buying his smuggled goods. Weapons from the outskirts of rock country were being transported to various militant factions all across the central lands. Drugs manufactured in the lands surrounding Kiri itself were gleefully finding the hands of the desperate in the land of fire. With business booming, his ego grew exponentially.

With an inflated ego came a sense of untouchability. Sure the odd debtor would put up a fight but soon their shoulders bore the mark of his lash. Even the occasional assassin sent to bring him down was little more than a hired thug with a knife or arrow. Inoriki enjoyed toying with their heads, often getting not only their employer, but their unwavering loyalty as well. True they were forever slaves to his growing empire, but they were at least alive. That sense of being above everything was very forcibly brought down when a woman knocked on his chamber door.

She smelled of lavender and honey with hair matching a raven's wing. A lovely dress of deepest purple hinted at what lay beneath. Stricken with lust at the beauty before him, the man's guard relaxed too quickly. Before the night was done a blade was at his throat, his feet bound by his own trousers, and hands shackled in irons. Caught with his literal pants down, he knew he'd been had. Without resisting the man knew someone was here to collect on some perceived wrong and there wouldn't be escaping, at least not with words.

She had made the mistake of allowing his hands to be together. As softly as possible, he formed the seals and let his mind escape ever so subtly. The mistake alone told she wasn't a shinobi. However, only a single other mind was within his range. A woman of apparent hospitality. A brief brush told of unfathomable hostility beneath though. Beneath the surface of peaceful serenity was an endless voice of bloodlust and rage. Sensing it'd have to do he began planting thoughts, bringing this woman towards his prison and jailer. It didn't take long as the blinded man heard the screaming. A sound akin to an animal's call preceded the shrill shriek of his captor's terror. A few small words told that he had traded one form of imprisonment for another. "You fucked up getting in my head, Yamanaka. With me or die." An ultimatum never being a good thing he had but one response. "Heh, lead the way, miss."

Varu'kahn

phpBB [video]

General Information
Type: Henchman
Gender: Male
Age: 37
Appearance:
  • Face/head: Varu'kahn's face is dominated by his eyes. His eyes are smoldering pits of fire that leave ember trails as he moves. The union with Korialstraz has made it impossible to see his origional eyes. However, once the union is broken the brown eyes shine through in full intensity. A strong brow with full black eyebrows outline and contrast the flaming sockets, prominent cheekbones doing nothing but accenting that. Long black straight hair with various ties and braids spill around his face, further bringing out those intense eyes. A scraggy mustache and goatee rests on a strong jaw.
  • Body: The man is very square bodied with well defined shoulders, chest, and back. His core shows some definition but no where near the power of what it supports. Powerful biceps lead into stronger forearms and hands, testament to years of bow use. Upon those shoulders is a strong and thick neck. All of this muscle mass stays lean and close to his skeleton, not bulking as some do and betrays a more agile inclination over raw power. Wrapping all this man is ashen skin with orange scars here and there. In many places the flesh seems to "crack" and the flame of the tyrant is almost visible as it gently licks outward. Should Kori ever leave his host for any reason Varu'kahn's skin would reclaim its olive and brown tones.
  • Notable Features:Varu'kahn's eyes are forever smoldering pits, and his skin ashen, due to the union with Korialstraz; The Tyrant Wyrm. These features fade upon the beast leaving his body and soul. Aside from this union the man has several tattoos that mark him, though he refuses to say what they are or where they're from. On his left shoulder is an intricate spiraled pattern. On his right leg is a similar design that wraps around his calve and thigh in red ink.
Personality:
  • General: Varu treats all aspects of life as a learning experience. To face challenges is to be tested by the spirits that guide all creation. To meet new peoples is to know the wisdom of other paths. To learn a new skill is to better one's self in the eyes of the ancients. To perfect that skill is to become closer to the divine. Always should one seek divinity, and never should one sink into the godless void of apathy.

While one should always seek knowledge so too shall they share it. Chasing divinity should never cause you to squelch others. In this Varu always seeks to pass on his knowledge in any skill, craft, or lore he can. He believes the sharing of wisdom brings two beings closer together and together they can chase perfection faster. Even better is the sharing of experiences as they happen, bringing two souls into one as they challenge, struggle, and learn together.

While chasing perfection one should never fall into the trap of isolation. Varu always checks his ego at every turn, constantly reminding himself that others have experience he may not. He makes every effort to uplift and motivate those around him, constantly attempting to make strong foundations for any group he may be a part of. Due to this, he'll attempt to be diplomatic with most foes before resolving to violence. Once battle is joined, he'll chase perfection in the craft of war as well.
  • Hopes/Dreams: The shaman seeks communion with the spirits of any land he is in. Their ancient wisdom and guidance proves more valuable than all the gold in the land to him. However, a specific beast holds great interest. Dragons are elevated to the heights of divinity. Their power and majesty, combined with their legendary knowledge and immutable resolve, is the peak of all possible forms to the man. Even after having been chosen as the permanent host for such a divine creature, he strives ever harder to learn from it and emulate its majesty in all ways without losing himself.
  • Fears: Isolation and solitude cause the mind to idle. Apathy and indifference cause one's path to stagnate. To continually push forward is not to forget where one comes from. Due to this Varu has a deep rooted fear of abandonment. Its caused him to become a beat of a people pleaser at sacrifice to personal well being. While he understands not all can be made to peacefully get on with each other, to abandon a potential ally or be rejected from a potential union can cause the man to become depressed for days.
  • Combat Mentality: When all options have failed only the bloodshed is left. In this Varu is very efficient. He prefers a ranged fight, often mounted to out pace his foe. He'll lay down withering fire, aiming to disable his opponent over kill them. A war is not won by killing your enemies, but by removing their resolve to fight. Should single combat become a melee, he'll focus on evasive tactics, once more aiming for wounding and crippling strikes. Should a foe surrender, he will stop the attack there. Allies will be allowed to claim their wounded. If no allies are available, he'll give the wounded water and treatment to the best of his ability, often carrying them back to their homes himself.

    • Composite Recurved Bow - This bamboo core bow is layered with animal horn and sinew to offer flexibility and power. It uses a type of animal glue to hold the whole thing together, wrapped in birch bark to offer mild protection. The entire weapon is roughly a meter and a half long. The string is made from treated animal sinew. This bow is usually kept in a quiver on his back, unstrung, or around his neck and shoulders when strung.
      • Barbed Arrows x60 - Varu'kahn's primary arrows are made from treated ash, roughly a meter long by one centimeter thick, and fletched with the feathers of an eagle. The arrow heads are steel and sharpened to a razor's edge with triangular tip. At the base of the three centimeter wide head are once centimeter barbs that curve backwards to make removal difficult and painful. These arrows are kept in a large quiver vertically on the back, head down.
      • Fireball Arrows x15 - These arrows are made from a softer pine wood and completely saturated with an explosive solution that goes off a couple seconds after meeting a spark. The head is a normal triangular steel point, but a small lever comes off the flat side. This lever is stiff attached to a flint that's stiff enough to avoid movement during firing or storage. However, upon impact the flint strikes and lights a short two second fuse before causing the whole shaft to explode with the force of a single tag. This explosion can ignite nearby materials.
    • Long Glaive - This polearm is made from an ash shaft roughly two meters long and about five centimeters in diameter. At one end is a roughly forty centimeter long and fifteen centimeter wide blade brought to a chisel grind on both sides. A tanto points is in place of a normal thrusting point and a five centimeter spike protrudes off the base of the "back". From the base of the blade leather strips are wrapped around the spear down about half way. This weapon. is most often carried.
    • Side Dagger - A simple steel dagger with full tang made in the style of a hunting knife. The fifteen centimeter hilt is made from two pieces of birch pressed and riveted against the tang. The nearly twenty five centimeter blade is sharpened on one side, with the back being a serrated saw for clearing brush. This is worn on the left back hip.
    • Scimitar - This roughly four centimeter wide blade curves to its pointed termination at fifty centimeters long. The fifteen centimeter hilt is created by riveting two pieces of goat horn to either side of the tang. A guard rests between the hilt and the blade, extending four centimeters beyond the blade on either side in a sturdy flat, slightly curved upwards, sheet.
  • Armor
    • Studded Leather Cuirass - This thick padded cloth covers his torso naturally, including his pants. His chest is covered in a thick hardened leather cuirass that covers from shoulder to gut. Along the gut are several small square plates of steel riveted in place to offer additional protection without restricting movement, though gaps between the plates do leave a weak spot in the armor.
    • Studded Leather Skirt/Boots - A skirt made from firs, treated skins, and cloth covers from waist to knee all around. Several dozen thick metal plates are riveted to this skirt to offer additional protection as well as modest impact absorption. The boost are made from the same type of material and come up halfway up the calf. Along the toe and across the back of the calf is a steel plate.
    • Studded Leather Gauntlets/Shoulders - Both hands are covered with soft leather gloves that offer minimal protection while not restricting movement. Sewn into the back of these gloves are hard leather pads covered in steel rivets. The gloves cover up to a third of the forearm as well, with a hardened steel plate being riveted to hard leather pads. Upon the shoulders thick leather pads are cushioned with soft cloth. Several horns and spikes line each shoulder pad, ranging from three centimeters to a large central horn being twenty centimeters and pointed straight up on either side.

Jutsu
Flawless AimShow
Flawless Aim Style (Description):
This style of combat is favored by shinobi preferring to use projectiles, often serving as a staple for ranged taijutsu users. Focusing on the synergy between their hands and senses, they strive to make their lethal skills reach as far as possible with absolute precision.

Requires: [Projectile Weapons] Concentration.
D:
*[Flawless Aim Style • Sentinel Shot]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Taking multiple projectiles into hand and priming the muscle groups required for launching projectile weapons, the practitioner can quickly shoot projectiles in rapid succession and just as quickly reload. While in this Stance, the practitioner can maintain a near-constant stream of projectile attacks. However, due to the amount of coordination required for this Stance, their movement is limited, suffering a -3 Speed penalty while in this Stance.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Rapid Reload]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After years of training, the practitioner has learned how to quickly and accurately access their ranged weapon stores at all times in combat. This cuts the effective "reload" time by half, up to a maximum speed equal to the practitioner's Speed score. This also applies to returning unused projectiles to their storage containers or switching between types of projectile weaponry.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Tracking]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After much training and study, the practitioner has learned how to read an opponent's movements and adjust their aim accordingly to compensate without penalty. This Discipline allows the practitioner to accurately hit moving targets, though sudden changes in the opponent's movements will still affect accuracy.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Repeater Shot]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Preparing multiple projectiles, the practitioner launches each of the projectiles at one or more targets. For each target beyond the first, the accuracy of each of the attacks is decreased, suffering a -1 Strength penalty for each additional target.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Arcing Shot]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner can launch projectiles in arcs up and over most obstacles, being able to accurately hit a target that is behind obstructions as if they were in the open. The practitioner must still be able to locate their target by some other means to ensure the projectile will hit its target.
C:
*[Flawless Aim Style • Evasive Maneuvers]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The practitioner has learned how to accurately launch projectiles while moving through the flow of combat. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to accurately launch projectiles while moving at full Speed, while jumping, rolling, sliding off the ground, or while performing other basic combat movements.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Hidden Shot]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
By launching two projectiles, one immediately after the other, the practitioner attempts to create a decoy for the second. The first projectile is often larger or of equal size, and the second projectile is slightly behind and below it, the second projectile hiding in the first projectile's shadow. This masks the second projectile and makes it more difficult for the opponent to completely avoid. Opponents with a Perception technique equal or higher in rank may be able to see both projectiles clearly within a reasonable distance, though they'll still have to properly defend against it.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Twisting Path]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Preparing a projectile, the practitioner launches the weapon with a slight tailspin, causing the flight path of the weapon to warp as it travels. The practitioner uses this slight change in the projectile's trajectory to hit a variety of targets that could not be targeted by normal means. This can be used to hit a target that is hiding behind another person or object, particularly useful against opponents behind human shields.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Sweeping Shot]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Momentarily crouching, the practitioner launches one or more projectiles in a low arc, the weapon(s) flying close to the ground before arcing up in a single direction when approaching the target. If the practitioner launches more than one projectile, their trajectories can cross over each other, making it difficult for the opponent to ascertain which projectile will rise up to strike them first.
B:
*[Flawless Aim Style • Uncanny Shot]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After much training and study, the practitioner is able to launch projectiles from previously impossible positions. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to launch projectile attacks without any detriment to their aim regardless of the position of their body. This includes while contorting their body or making rapid adjustments such as dodging attacks or performing acrobatic maneuvers.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Blind Sight]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After much training and study, the practitioner no longer needs to rely on their sense of sight, instead using their other senses to locate and attack targets. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to launch attacks at targets that may be behind, above, to their sides, or even behind terrain without sacrificing any accuracy without having a line of sight on their opponents. This Discipline does not allow the practitioner to ignore terrain or obstructions, merely allowing them to account for those factors when aiming and launching projectiles.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Intercepting Shot]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner is able to launch a projectile in the direct path of an oncoming solid mass attack (i.e. Doton). If the Strength of this projectile meets or exceeds the Strength of the attack it is clashing against, the attack is deflected away from the practitioner. If the projectile is only slightly weaker than the attack (-5 Strength or less), the attack is still partially deflected, though the practitioner must supplement their defense with other techniques or movements to fully avoid the attack. The practitioner must still be able to detect and track the attack in order to defend against it.
A:
*[Flawless Aim Style • Absolute Aim]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Having mastered the art of ranged combat, the practitioner is capable of calculating all outside factors before launching their projectiles. Ambient factors such as temperature, winds, moisture, any terrain, and even lack of sight on their target can not hinder their aim. So long as they have a means of detecting the location of their opponent and no impassible objects or unavoidable defenses stand in their way, the practitioner's attacks will strike their target with pinpoint accuracy without fail. Living targets must have a Perception technique equal or higher in rank to be able to perceive the practitioner's attacks without some sort of additional defense.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Sniper’s Mark]
A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Focusing for half a post and torquing every single muscle in their body, the practitioner concentrates on their target and launches a single, long-distance projectile attack. This attack can strike its target without losing Strength, Speed, or Accuracy up to [(Speed + Strength)/2] x 100 meters, rounded down.

History
Chapter 1Show
Varu was born in Iron country to a family of nomads passing through. His mother protected and raised him, teaching him various skills in archery, cooking, and basic leather working. While growing she would instill him with great respect for the world around him. She'd speak at length about the ancestors and the spirits that govern the natural world. He was told to respect all life and see divinity and sanctity in its various forms. Every fortnight they'd do rituals to honor and greet the spirits. They'd give thanks over every kill, wishing the spirit of the animal peaceful rest. He was told, with no lack of import, that the spirits want nothing but to see all life grow in their own ways, and to seek growth and wisdom is the ultimate honor to one's ancestors and the natural world.

Varu's father got work on the road, often traveling with caravans as a sell sword and handy man. His skills were a master's envy in wood work and masonry. He also possessed a silver tongue that'd make blood born hatred turn to long standing friendships. With every breath he seemed to chase a dream of perfection, though always spoke as if the dream was unobtainable. When able, the father and son would venture by themselves to clearing to practice various techniques. Father would teach proper spear and sword work, as well as how to ride a horse with naught but your legs. He'd also tell stories of the spirits and the divines, imparting upon him the importance of sharing knowledge and wisdom.

As years passed and Varu grew into a man he began to formulate who he would be forever more. The legends of old stuck with him and watching several hardships developed into compassion. Varu would seek out village elders and craftsman at every stop, often vanishing for days at time to his parent's great discomfort. Always he'd come back beaming with joy at having learned a new skill, or honed an existing one. Always he'd write down the stories and share them whenever asked. One story stuck with him more than any other though. The story of a magnificent beast born of power and stature. A creature purely not of this earth yet somehow its master. The name of the creature was dragon, and the overwhelming nature of its existence captivated young Varu.

The story was related to his parents once more upon the road. They confirmed the tales and shared many of their own. All of them overwhelmed the now teenage boy. He made it his life's goal to commune with such a creature, to bath in its glory. All his life he'd had the importance of duty and craft instilled in him. Now he wishes to push himself further than before. He seeks to make himself worthy of divinity's grace. In this he redoubles his efforts, often passing out in the middle of a craft. The boy's father would often carry him back to their bed, leaving the project for later completion. However, he'd insist on the project's completion as soon as Varu woke.

When Varu turned twenty two he spoke to his father of joining a traveling mercenary group. He sought knowledge and experience beyond what the quiet life of a nomad could offer. Ever the egalitarian, his father approached his mother and they both gave blessing with smiles as wide as the heavens. Varu gathered his bow and spear, his clothes and armor, and readily left with a parting hug to both. As a parting gift Varu's mother gave him two gifts of wisdom. His father spoke of diligence but peace. His mother spoke of humility but pride. With final knowledge within, Varu joined another family upon the roads through all the nations.

In ten years Varu grew a reputation for his silver tongue. He was chosen as the spokesmen even above the leader. He further honed his aim and horsemanship as well, becoming a great rear guard. His arrow would warn of impending danger, his voice prevent it in the first place. Many of the men grew happy with his ways. Jobs were plentiful but often blood was shed only in a final call. As he rose through the ranks he earned the title of Kahn, an honorific within a small sub group of a larger mercenary core. The title was held with pride.

Eventually the group began to tire of the road. Several would seek comfortable lives away from the road with a family to call their own. Others fell in battle and their stories remained honored in their name. Upon the turn of the summer, their leader had found wife and daughter, settling in the land of water. He took over the company and lead them for a short time further. Eventually he sought to return to his original goal. Leadership of his family was a great point of pride, but he was no great leader of warriors. He was a poet and shaman before then. The Titan's band was left in the hands of another, Varu saying his goodbyes once more.

For a couple years the man simply traveled from land to land, seeking stories and wisdom as he wished. His tongue was employed in negotiations for money, his bow in defense as well. In time he traveled to a land of rivers and streams. He had heard tale of the small tribal peoples and overgrown temples. The spirits would be strong in such a place of lush life. There he witnessed something never before thought possible. A woman built of power and scale, an old friend dearly missed by not forgotten, and a beast of divine magnificence. No hesitation was had in greeting the mercenary king, and great eagerness greeted the dragon known as Korialstraz. He begged to be included in the group's evening meal. He had no imagining of the great offer he'd receive in the coming days.
