General Information Age: 32
Gender: Male
Height: 5'11

Physical Features:
  • Face/head:Sharp and well-defined features are the immediately noticeable features when gazing at this Masculine face. The eyes are stern and piercing with a hue and Glow to them that is unnatural and yet do not intimidate or challenge any onlookers. The gaze is hard and appraising but is somehow saddened by something within, yet that sadness won't be revealed further without digging. His features are likewise more foreign to these lands as if his bloodline were from farther west than many had traveled
  • Body: Well muscled and weather worn the body of this man tells a story of hard work in the sun and elements and of a history that is patterned out on his body through what look like tattoos from a distance but are something more deeply and permanently embedded in his flesh. His skin is tanned a light olive tone and yet it was easy to see that its natural hue was much more light and fair. He was well proportioned for his height though his torso was long and where the majority of his height was gained from.
  • Notable Features: The Tattoos he has , Running down his arms from under his shoulder guards, that adorn his bare chest and trail down the center of his abdomen. If there are any along his upper back the back piece that connects his shoulder guards there covers them up. There are twin runes on the backs of his hands and one each on the tops of his fingers as if his fingers had a tattoo. His Eyes Glow with a supernatural hue that is hard to see in the lught of day but at night it can be clearly defined as otherworldly. This Glow is a bright Turquoise that does not pulse and is steady.. There are times when it brightens but only during moments of intense emotion.
Clothing/Accessories:He Wears a Traditional pair of Hakam pants that were once adorned with some sort of design but after what may be years of abuse from manual work the designs have faded and been stained out but luckily the majority color of the pants is black so they do not make him look too shabby. His boots are not traditionally Japanese however, going for a more Western look from the 1500-1600's era, a Knee-high Leather boot with buttons up the outer side that a strap was wound about to keep them taught. Likewise, he wore a pair of metal shoulder guards that looked as if they were more for decoration than anything else, they wrapped around his upper back and shoulder area and were secured with a leather underbody that was what held them in place comfortably, covering up his upper back as if hiding something.
Personality: In a Word? Stoic. "I wish to be seen as stern and off-putting, but I am friendly enough to most who are friendly back and willing to put in the effort to work passed my gruff first impression. There is something to be said about weeding out those who aren't willing to try and find out who you are when you aren't openly warm but not outwardly hostile either." - Bastion is a man who keeps himself close to the chest and does not like to put himself out there for others, others have to come to him and he has to see that they genuinely wish to know him before he will even open that lock a crack. He has had a bad past when it comes to people and will not willingly see himself burned like that again.

  • Hopes/Dreams: I want to discover life, experience things that no one like me has ever experienced before, and make a name for myself in the grander world. The dream of having a partner, the dream of fighting a grand battle and winning are all there but I simply wish to live my life to its fullest and experience what is out there.. If in doing so I find a grander goal so be it. - Bastion is a simple man who simply wishes to get through life while experiencing all he can in it. If he drifts into the path of someone who'se goal is grand or somehow compelling he may help them acheive it if he can.
  • Fears: "Dying without having lived life.. Being cut down before I had tasted everything from this world I could drink or eat. Having never seen a friend smile at me with warmth... Centipedes...." - He does not fear death itself so much as an early demise before he has done what he deems is enough, and Centipedes.. They are too long and did you know those things are VENOMOUS?! No thank you! The one fear that he does not mention that he does not even acknowledge is darkness.. He will always keep a light nearby or a source to see by but the closer darkness creeps the more nervous he will get.
  • Combat Mentality:"Come and break yourself upon me, and while you are focused on the wrong body My Puppet will come and rend you from this Mortal coil" - Bastion is not a fast fighter, his body is well muscled and his skin is tough from what would appear to be years of physical labor. He will wait and bait in faster opponents before locking them down and pinning them between himself and his puppet.. A wall of Metal and bone that will grind his foe to ash and blood. If he must he can also use Fuinjutsu to combat his enemies, though he abhors its use beyond puppet control as the Runes carved into his flesh scream with pain when used.

First Ability
Rune Carved:
The Characters Flesh has been Branded with runes made from a strange metal alloy that does not shine any more than wet flesh might. The character can Set his Chakra Network ablaze in a fire that erupts out from the Runes embedded in the flesh, coating them in an armor of Chakra fire that does not cast light, but simply devours darkness around it leaving behind a Grey Landscape in the absence of light.

This fire burns until the user ceases to concentrate on it and while active it decreases their chakra pool by -3, while the fire burns it has a Strength equal to the user's control and Any Runes created by the Irezumi Neru Concentration will Burn as well, Allowing the user to control the Puppet or Weapon without the need of a jutsu for the duration, this is done through either the puppet following the users movements as he makes them or by The user sitting in a meditative position and controlling the puppet mentally while unable to move themselves. This Body mod is required for the Irezumi Neru Concentration to be learned or taught, the character is able to give this Body modification to others.

Each Bearer of Rune carved is bestowed a different color dependant on the users chakra network either randomly allocated or players choice

This user has superb chakra control, and has learned to perform jutsu by channeling, without the use of hand seals. The user can channel any Ninjutsu that is designed to be channeled, and there are no specified parameters in which a jutsu must fall to be channeled by this method.
Storage & Force Fuuinjutsu:
Storage & Force Fuuinjutsu
This user is able to utilize Storage Fuuinjutsu and Force Fuuinjutsu, making it possible for them to utilize any jutsu with the Storage or Force Classification. Storage Fuuinjutsu can be used to store supplies, weapons, armor, or anything in between. Force Fuuinjutsu are used to release, counteract, and capture energy.
Charge & Augment Fuuinjutsu:
Charge& Augment Fuuinjutsu
This user is able to utilize Charge & Augment Fuuinjutsu, making it possible for them to utilize any jutsu with the Charge & Augment Classification. Charge Fuuinjutsu are used to create jutsu-like effects using seals. Augment Fuuinjutsu are used to enhance or limit the power of whatever they are placed on.

This concentration allows for the user-to-user chakra to affect the biological processes of a living creature. This includes modifying, speeding up, or slowing down the biological processes. Iijutsu is known for it's advanced nature and requires precise chakra control to work effectively. It can be differentiate from normal techniques by the faint light green color of the chakra used in Iijutsu techniques.

The fundamental skill of [Medicine] describes the user’s mental and physical ability to perform traditional and mainstream medicinal practices. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.
Irezumi Neru:
Irezumi Neru
The runes imparted by "Rune Carved" allow the bearer to bind their Chakra network directly to inanimate objects via a Special Jutsu that must be used during the creation of these items, crafted by the user of this concentration. The Chakra network can be imparted into Puppets or weapons created by the user, puppets imparted with this Network can be controlled via this same skill. Puppets Controlled by this Concentration need to be connected to the ground at all times and can not "fly", However, if the puppet is snake-like it can coil around anything on the ground I.E the puppeteer or a pole and extend itself out to its full length without touching the ground itself. Any Puppet controlled in this way share their "senses" with the Controller, allowing the user to see/hear remotely

This Puppeteer replacement Concentration uses Endurance Rather than Control for its Stat due to the use of the runes causing pain to the user directly. Puppets controlled in this fashion have half the range as standard puppets.
Stealth:
The fundamental skill of [Stealth] describes the user’s proficiency in remaining silent, unseen and unnoticed as they go about tasks. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.
Deft Hands:
The fundamental skill of [Deft Hands] indicates the user’s proficiency with using their hands in very specific and complex movements, like sleight of hand and targeting very small and specific points on an opponent’s body. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu in various ways.
Weapons Crafting:
With large amounts of experience in the forge and with creation, individuals with this concentration are able to craft and create most types of weapons and armor. While this typically doesn’t grant the individual himself any additional powers, it allows him to make more powerful tempered gear for himself and shinobi than what can typically be found. However, those with such familiarity with weapons and armor are often skilled at noticing the strengths and weaknesses of weapons they face, and allow them to more easily exploit them.
Ancient Runes:
With large amount of experience in the ‘arcane’ as it was once called, this individual is able to imbue chakra, and skills into material things, crafting highly sought after mystical weapons through the usage of Ancient Runes fuuinjutsu. While this typically doesn’t grant the individual themselves any additional powers, it allows them to make more powerful gear for themselves and shinobi that what can typically be found. Those with this concentration are able to imbue equipment with a wide range of abilities that can only be explained by jutsu. Enchanters use sample of chakra to mimic and imbue abilities into weapons and gear.

A jutsu used with the purpose of activating seals and a range of devices and weapons, this technique begins with a single handseal. Once this has been performed, the user will focus a dollop of their chakra into what they are looking to activate in order to complete the task. Seals activated with this technique must be within 10 meters of the user's position.

A rather simple technique that allows the user to escape from a genjutsu. The user will form a single ram seal and focus to reset their chakra system to purge themselves of foreign chakra. The stat requirements for this technique can be found in the genjutsu rules.

After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will hold their hand over a seal, and begin to remove it. This removal will be successful as long as the user has more [Control] than that of which the Fuuinjutsu was sealed with.

Iijutsu
D Rank *[Iijutsu • Sterilization Technique]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
The user will channel the needed chakra throughout their upper body (torso, arms, hands, face) at [Control] Speed. This chakra will chew away at harmful bacteria and other foreign bodies on the skin, cleansing it until it is thoroughly sterile, and can be spread to objects, most commonly surgical tools. Users of this technique can also choose to sterilize certain parts of their upper body or the wounds of another person instead. Once they are sanitized, they remain this way until coming in contact with more bacteria.

The user uses their refined knowledge of special blacksmithing methods, their chakra, and other materials to enhance the capability of a weapon or item by increasing its [Strength] and [Endurance] stat by 5 points each time the technique is used on the item. Due to the crafter's level of proficiency, they are able to perform this crafting enhancement at half the normal cost.

Prerequisite: 5 Control
While often thought to be an enchanting process, the process of creating chakra tempered weapons is known to most any smith who has basic chakra control. The skill represents the smith’s ability to recognize minerals and ores that are good for accepting the tempering process, and know how to temper weapons with chakra. This ensures all equipment made by this crafter is tempered and does not require a static strength.

This smith has specifically learned how to craft various types of Pole weapons such as Spears, Staves and the like, reducing the production cost by half.

The user has learned all appropriate pressure points on a body. In the event of bleeding, they know where to apply pressure to slow the bleeding while treatment is administered.

Though the tutelage of a forging master and the combination of his in-depth knowledge in the intricacies of the puppet creation process, the user has learned the method of producing different types of puppet frames. This smith has specifically learned how to craft this various type of frames through diligent practice, reducing the production cost for them by half. Puppet frames have a base starting strength of 15 at initial creation.

Prerequisites: [Charge & Augment Fuuinjutsu Concentration]
Not an actual fuuinjutsu technique, this discipline is the first step in a fuuinjutsu user being able to utilized 'Ancient Rune' techniques. A highly sought after talent, Runes are an ancient form of fuuinjutsu much stronger than the standard fuuinjutsu and are used to embed jutsu effects into things on a permanent basis. This discipline shows that the user has the knowledge to understand Runes, and can interpret what a Rune does through visual inspection. This technique is required to learn any [Ancient Rune] technique.

D-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
Reflective of the first step to actually utilize Runes, the 'Novice' is able to embed D-rank Ninpou effects with up to [25] Control and any other subsequent stats into a Rune. A semi-permanent version of fuuinjutsu, previously shaped chakra can be placed into a rune and then embedded into an object, allowing for the effect to be retained by the weapon indefinitely. Unlike standard charge fuuin, Runes cannot be removed via fuuinjutsu removal, but are negated when the object is detempered. This technique cannot be performed in combat. The Novice must know the technique being embedded, or currently have it stored in another Rune.

Bastian was brought out to the Land of runes when he was a young babe, his parents were travelers from far out to the west or at least that is what they would tell any who asked of their origins. Both Fair haired and hardy people they were obviously foriegn compared to the denizens of Cairdeas. When he was a Younger child his Father had been hired as a laborer for a smaller smithy in the city and Bastian had been accepted as his Apprentice. Bastian was good enough to progress over the years to assistance blacksmith and was often the one making the bulk work that the smith took orders for. He was up late finishing an order of simple Nails for his Master and a strange man came to the smithy, covered in dark robes and hooded. He tossed a small chunk of strange metal to Bastion and demanded to know if he could forge it.

Bastian tilted his head and went to touch it as the man hissed and tried to stop him, Bastians fingers dragged along its surface and he tilted his head as the metal was cold to the touch despite it being quite warm out. He Said he would have to ask his master, and the man reinforced his question stating that he had asked Bastian, not his master and wanted to know if Bastian could forge it. Bastian looked at the robed man and tossed the metal into the forge, watching as the fire turned from red/Orange to a deep violet color and then pulled the glowing violet strip of metal out of the forge and struck it with his hammer.. It felt like Steel but a bit softer and he nodded to the robed man before suddenly he found himself blacking out.

When Bastian had awoken he could not see, and when he tried to reach up to rub his eyes he found he was bound to table he could feel himself upon as he woke up more and more. It was then he heard the pounding of metal nearby and the only light to pierce the darkness around him was a runic sigil of bright burning Turquiose that loomed and hovered in the dark before being driven into the center of his chest, but instead of simply branding him his flesh knitted to the Metal, as if gripping it and demanding it become one with his body. The pain was unbearable and yet so intense that his mind could not simply shut down, as more runes were embedded into his flesh while surrounded by pure darkness. Slowly as his entire upper body had runes of some sort embedded in the glowing light of the runes subsided as they finally cooled.

He fell asleep soon after the pain having drained him and the stress of not being able to see and only hearing his own screams and begging for the pain to end crushed his stamina. when he awoke he was in a room, chained by the wrists, biceps, neck and waist to the floor sitting in a meditative cross-legged position. He was fed, but any time he spoke he was struck with the spoon used to feed him. He was watered and shaved from head to toe before finally the only person to not touch him without his will entered the room. He recognised the man has a Ninja, his master made equipment for one once.. The ninja set a scroll on the floor and unfurled it about a foot and set it down infront of Bastian wordlessly. He then formed handseals swiftly and slammed a hand against bastians mouth, telling him that he would earn the ability to speak when he could break the seal on his tongue.

Bastian then tried to speak and found his mouth would not obey him. The ninja gripped his jaw and forced Bastian to stare at him as he explained he was being paid to train Bastian in the ways of chakra, and Bastian would learn or he would die.. So he had better pay attention. It was from that day on that Bastian began to learn the basics of chakra control.. He was 10 years old at the time and it took 2 more years until h was able to form chakra well enough to break the seal on his mouth and speak. His first words were expletives at the Ninja who trained him, curses and insults slung at them with vitriol and hate built up over literal years and yet when he was done he simply sat down at his seat and waited for his next lesson... Having been broken of any hopes of escaping long ago.

When Bastian figured he was around 13.. It was hard to tell exactly he was taught how to control his first puppet.. And send it into the Darkness. The First time he sent a puppet inside Bastian rushed it back out of there and screams as he backed up into the nearest wall breathing heavily stammering about what he saw. Not a soul beleived him expect for the Chanter that had been sent to oversee the event who simply smiled and nodded for the ordeals to continue. It has been many years now since bastian escaped through the darkness alone... And has left the land of runes, fearing that Na Hiarrthóirí hunt him.
