Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Long raven locks that stretch down to just past shoulder length, normally tied back in a messy high ponytail to keep it out of his way with a few normal stragglers around chin length framing the man's pale white, narrow face. The narrow face has a set of wide, bright purple eyes that seem to rarely be over half open as though he appears tired or sleepy the majority of the time. Coming down from the eyes is a thin nose with a long bridge that ends just above a set of wide but thin lips that are placed above the sharp chin of the man's face.
  • Body: The shinobi sports an athletic body of a runner with slender but toned arms and legs, with only a slightly muscled chest along with visible but not defined abdominal muscles. A number of small scars can be found on his across the upper torso, the most noticeable though are a series of two stab wounds on his right side on the abdomen, scarring due to a burn injury that run down the entire length of the right arm on the outside from the shoulder to the wrist. Lastly, other smaller scars are scattered across the upper back and upper left chest region of the torso.
  • Notable Features: His brilliant bright purple eyes, when they not hidden behind his sunglasses or goggles, and a number of old injuries when his upper torso is exposed.
  • Clothing/Accessories: While on official shinobi business, the man wears a long sleeve, fishnet style under shirt underneath a black short sleeve, mid shin length kimono top tied in the front with a crimson sash. Embroidered in the center of the upper back of the robe is the Aburame clan symbol. Pants are of a traditional variety black cloth ninja pants that run down to the knee where white bandaging wrap around the cuff of the pants from just below the knee to the feet. On the forearms and shins can be found slip on bracers and a pair of standard issue black sandals rounds out the man's attire. Worn around his waist is a large sash like belt upon which has slots for small scrolls and holds his ninja pouches for each hip and his insect container. Off duty attire varies depending on the situation.

    Personality:
    • General: Akiro is found to be excellent at both following orders and providing them, though his leadership experiences have even caused some superiors to defer to him for insight. Having the ability to remain calm under pressure and thrives in battle, his strategic mind constantly preparing him for various scenarios in which to employ his swarm and companions. Allowing for him to be readily adapt leading to him surviving countless dangerous situations. Though it can be said that in the respect of sacrifice, it is simply something a shinobi should be able to do in order to complete the mission, be it to sacrifice a comrade or himself for the sake of the mission. Leaving the safety of himself and his teammates lives to be a secondary consideration, after all a shinobi is a tool to be used by the village, a mission with casualties is inevitable and there are such things as acceptable losses to ensure mission success and the protection of the village's future.

      Like many Aburame, the man can be found to be very reserved with there being a very limited number of discussion topics that he has strong enough feelings towards that he can be found to willingly engage in conversation about with others outside of his shinobi missions. Generally classified as a reclusive individual and with not so much it being that he dislikes people and instead that he is very untrusting of even others with whom he is acquainted with due to events in the past when he had friends that turned that back on the village. Causing for the older shinobi to be simply wary of those he is encountering for the first time and even past that, not one to truly develop deep relationships with others aside from a very select few that could be counted on a single hand. As such, one can often find him simply stand backing from the crowd or group and observing everyone and everything when introduced into an unfamiliar environment, attempting to establish a baseline of everything going on around him.

      It would be an extremely rare sight to see the career focused shinobi doing things that didn't in some way pertain to his job or mission. The only exception being his hobby of tending to the beetle dens and reading the work of four or five different authors; mainly tending to enjoy mystery or suspense novels. Truly having little focus on perusing women at this time in his life but is one to enjoy a few drinks of aged whiskey on his personal down time. Living a very simple and straightforward lifestyle devoted to dealing with the unseen threats in order to keep them just that, unseen and unknown to the rest of the Leaf village.

    A matching set of custom-made katana measuring thirty inches in total length, the metal of the blades is a coal black steel in color with a slender purple stripe running down the middle of the blades. While the handle is created not from the traditional wooden wrapped in leather, but from a special composite material made to fit the user's hands for both normal and reversed grip wielding of the weapons. This are worn in a few different manners: the first being on opposing hips, both blades on the left hip, or in an x-shaped fashion across the man's back.

    As a member of the Aburame clan, [Akiro] has taken on a mutated swarm of the Mushi beetles of his own breeding, the strength of this swarm is based on the [Sync] stat of the user. Due to the unique chakra trait of the swarm itself they have also altered their host's chakra to a dark purple hue.

    <Creature Type> Insect Swarm - Akuma Swarm Description: The Akuma beetles are a species of small, beetle-like insects that are bred and utilized exclusively by the Aburame family member Akiro. Individually, the insects are generally between 5mm and 8mm in size and are a dark purple hue in color.

    Personality: The swarm, due to the training received from their host, is broken down into a military style structure with the queen insect being the overall leader with the remaining swarm broken down three squads each consisting of three teams, each team consisting of five synch worth of insects each totaling fifteen per squad. The leader of each time is slightly larger than the other beetles in its team and the squad leader is larger than the team leader. The remaining five synch worth are a type of personal security detail which protect the host, who houses their queens, at all times. They receive orders from their host to the squad leader bugs who carry out the tasks assigned to them. Once synced with their host they will serve as obedient soldiers that are mentally linked to their host, able to communicate telepathically with one another in order to coordinate movements.

    The Akuma has the ability of possession, allowing for the swarm to take over and control persons or objects that they are able to come into contact with. When interacting with Living Creatures these evil creatures are able to possess the target for up to [Sync/10] Posts. If the target possesses an equal or higher level of Willpower vs the Sync stat of the swarm, they will be able to resist possessing by the swarm. While possessing a target the swarm gains access to their techniques and concentrations for the duration of their possession. Due to the difficulty of possessing a living target the swarm is only able to possess up to [Sync/10] targets at one time. When possessing Inanimate Objects such as normal sized weapons or tools, the beetles are able to possess up to [Synch x4] of those inanimate objects at a time and hold the possession for up to [Sync/2] Posts. Able to move the object about as though it was their own body, even flying through the air like the object had wings like the beetles themselves.

    History:: A mutated species that originated from the chakra devouring Kikaichū breed, the Aburame's original swarm. He allowed for his insects to feed upon the chakra of a captured demon spirit, over the course of a year the swarm continued to feed and reproduce as the chakra slowly changed the beetle swarm until they became a new, unique species of beetle. Taking on the main ability of the demon upon who's chakra they were feeding upon, which was the ability of possession.

    ~Mushi Sight
    D-Rank Ninjutsu
    After the appropriate hand seals, the Aburame shuts one eye, transferring its sight to one of their mushi. The view from this mushi allows for the discerning size, shape, distance, and minor details, lacking the ability to examine intricate details, such as text in a book. The mushi can travel up to a mile away before the link between the Aburame is broken and the technique lasts as long as the Aburame keeps their eye closed for a maximum of six posts.

    The Aburame will command a female mushi to attach itself to a designated target and hide itself using its small form and silent movement. After attaching itself, the mushi will then release an abnormal number of pheromones. The male mushi of that breed can then trace the pheromone trail, allowing the Aburame to effectively track the marked target. The males can only track the female within a three-mile radius, and after five posts, the female mushi does not have the chakra to produce excess pheromones and tracking is reduced to 1/2 mile.

    By channeling their chakra into their swarm and holding the final seal, the Aburame raises the pheromones of one of their swarms to unnatural levels, causing them to rapidly breed, creating larvae by the end of the post. If the Aburame continues to channel chakra into their swarm for another post, the larvae will rapidly hatch and grow into adult mushi, replenishing the ranks of the swarm.

    Gathering of Ten Thousand Shadows:

    This sword style is a mixture of sword and the use of the man's swarm, gaining its name as the swarming Mushi resemble tiny shadows swirling around the swordsman. Akiro has used swarm training developed by the Aburame for use with his swarms through utilization of mental and/or verbal commands to illicit predetermined actions such as forming a specific formation and other practiced actions and combined that with his own swordsmanship. Through this training method the user is granted greater control over the swarm and the ability to manipulate the swarm(s) at a more advanced level without the need to waste additional charka or time issuing additional verbal tasking. Each rank of technique requires the user to have a sync stat equal to the technique. IE: 5 Sync for D-rank, 10 Sync for C-rank, etc.

    Wave of Destruction
    D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
    Having trained intensely with his Mushi swarm, the swarm is able to sync with their host. Releasing his swarm, the Mushi will swirl around his body and move about him like some form of strange Qi that swirls around him and his weapons. When the user performs slashing movements of his sword up to [5 sync] of his Mushi swarm will follow the slash trajectory of the weapon launching forward at [Sync] strength and speed out to [Sync] meters from the weapon in the form of a arching blade attempting to slice through anything in their path. After reaching [Sync] meters the swarm will return to the rest of the swarm around the user.

    Spirit of the Falling Star
    D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
    Having trained intensely with his Mushi swarm, the swarm is able to sync with their host. Releasing his swarm, the Mushi will swirl around his body and move about him like some form of strange Qi that swirls around him and his weapons. When the user performs a thrusting attack with his sword up to [5 sync] of his Mushi swarm will follow the slash trajectory of the weapon launching forward at [Sync] strength and speed out to [Sync] meters from the weapon like an extension of the blade attempting to pierce through anything in their path. This attack can be used while standing on the ground but works best from an elevated position above the target. After reaching [Sync] meters the swarm will return to the rest of the swarm around the user.

    Dance of Shadows
    D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
    Having trained intensely with his Mushi swarm, the swarm is able to sync with their host and act instantly upon just his mental thoughts. In this technique the use will command the swarm to flood out of his body, if they are not already active, from his lower legs and feet in order to create a thin platform of bugs no larger than the size of the user's foot. Allowing for them to push off the 'platform' under each foot as long as their strength doesn't exceed the sync stat of the swarm supporting the user's weight, allowing them to essentially walk or run-on air temporarily. After the user pushes off the platform of Mushi they disperse like tiny shadows that return to the user's body or the swarm around the user.

    Yoshin Kenjutsu:
    Waterfall Country's samurai are the creators of Yoshin, a style of Kenjutsu honing one's precision to strike more precisely than any needle or arrow at the enemy's inherent weaknesses. The human body is full of natural weak spots and vulnerabilities, and Yoshin takes full advantage of those weaknesses in combat with calculated, precise, intelligent strikes and thrusts to cripple and cut down their opponent. Common joints, unseen nerve endings and nerve clusters, critical tendons and muscle groups, and even vital organs are all fair game to the users of Yoshin. The precision required for this style causes most users of its techniques to prefer short blades such as kodachi and wakizashi, often with serrated edges to maximize damage on the blade exiting the wound, though katana can still be used with this style.

    Detailed knowledge of the human body's vulnerabilities and weaknesses are fundamental to learning Yoshin. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge of the precise location of all major organs, tendons, blood vessels, and nerve clusters on both their body and the opponent's body. This allows the practitioner to accurately target those areas even in the heat of combat.

    With a very quick snapping slash or thrust, the practitioner attacks the back of the opponent's weapon-wielding hand or hands. Opponents hit by this technique must have an Endurance equal to or higher than the practitioner's Speed to avoid being disarmed or losing the use of the affected hand until the end of their next post. This technique is only useful for short term debilitation of the hands and cannot cause any significant long-term damage on its own.

    While slashing an opponent, the practitioner twists their wrist while simultaneously channeling the momentum of the first attack into another slash in a different direction, allowing the practitioner to attack another area of the opponent's body with the same sequence of movements.

    Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Ambidexterity].
    Complete control of the weapons one is wielding is a necessity to ensure a practitioner of Zantou is proficient in the style. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to switch either one of their swords (or both, if they wish) from standard grip to reverse grip reflexively, the movements to do so firmly trained into their muscle memory. This allows the Zantou practitioner to ensure that the cutting edges of their blades are always facing the opponent whenever they want them to be. This Discipline can make a Zantou practitioner’s movements difficult to predict in a fight.

    Much of a human's movements are inefficient and waste energy, especially in regard to combat. The practitioner has learned how to fully synchronize and harmonize the movements of their body in and out of combat. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge and mastery of kinetic linking, the efficient movement and transferal of potential energy from one part of the body to the other, eliminating potentially wasted Endurance and chakra and allowing the practitioner to last longer than ordinary in a fight.

    Will of Fire:

    An expression of a true shinobi who has mastered their internal Will Power, allowing for the user to inherit the ability to physically manifest their will in a variety of different methods. Be this allowing for his killing intent to manifest or completely disguising it with a false sense of security in order to either paralyze a target with fear or convince them that he is not a threat.

    C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
    The user concentrated their predatory will, focusing on a single target that they make eye contact with, locking their gaze with their own. If the target has a lower Willpower than the user, it will cause them to become fixate upon the user's eyes and be unable to move for up to the next three posts. During this time, the user must maintain constant eye contact and any movements must be made at half speed to achieve this. Any aggressive action on the user's part will break the trance.



    [Frightful Presence]
    B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
    The user lets out long, drawn out sigh that expands out into the area allowing those within forty meters of his position to hear it. This his infused with his will of fire causing any creature/individual that is within 40 meters of the user's position and can hear the user will be affected by this technique. Should their Willpower be equal to or lower than the user's, they will be filled with a sudden sensation of pure fear. Those affected will be unable to willingly move closer to the user seeing hallucinogenic vision of a set of giant, translucent glowing purple eyes flowing in the air staring down at them causing for their Willpower will be reduced by -3 per post as their body shakes in a natural response to fear they are experiencing. The reduction to their Willpower stacks per post, resulting in -9 by the third post, at which point the technique ends.

    [Fear of One's Own End]
    B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
    The user concentrated their predatory will on a single target that the user makes eye contact with, locking their gaze with their own. If the target has a lower Willpower than the user, it will cause them to fixate upon the user's bright purple eyes. Their brain will be sent into such an intense panic that they are greeted with hallucinogenic visions of their own death gruesomely at the hands of a hideous, demonic version of the user if their Willpower is not equal to or greater than his own. They will not only see these visions but also believe that they feel physical pain of the "damage" they perceived themselves to suffer during the hallucinations. This slows the movement and reaction times of the target(s) causing a -3 speed per post stacking debuff for a maximum of -9 speed at after three posts. These horrific visions and phantom pains last for up to four posts.

    *[Genjutsu • Paranoia of Bugs]
    D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
    The user will do a series of hand seals, then whistle. Anyone who hears the whistle will be captured in this genjutsu. For the following 4 posts, the target will see a shadow similar to the user's swarm of beetles in the corner of their eyes, constantly shifting out of view when they attempt to look at it.

    [Genjutsu • Shifting Blade]
    D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
    The user will do a series of hand seals, then point one of their weapons at the target. Anyone who sees the action of the sword being pointed towards them will be captured in this genjutsu. For the following 4 posts, when the user attacks with their weapon their vision will be slightly altered causing for them to see the strikes of the user off two or three inches to the left or right than the actual strike.

    [Genjutsu • Rising Darkness]
    D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
    The user will perform a sequence of hand seals and life one hand into the air palm up as if lifting something invisible, anyone who sees this action will see black pedals forming in the air all around them. Often targets will be distracted by the sudden appearance of the petals that slightly hinder their view of their surroundings, some even believing that it’s the start of a some ninjutsu. This lasts for three posts.



    [Genjutsu • Multiplying Strike]
    C-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
    The user will do a series of hand seals, then point one of their weapons at the target. Anyone who sees the action of the sword being pointed towards them will be captured in this genjutsu. For the following 4 posts, when the user attacks with their weapon the arm striking with the weapon will appear to split into two additional arms as all three attack the target striking at three different angles.

    [Genjutsu • What is Real?]
    C-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
    The user will perform a sequence of hand seals then hold their weapon out in front of them as if preparing to attack, anyone who sees this will their vision modified, causing them to see two of the users every time the user moves and see one of the user every time they stop. They will see everything twice and will be unsure of which is the real user, and which is just an illusion when the user is moving/in motion as the copy always attacks from the opposing side of the real user. This will last for three posts.

    The start of a life was very basic, normal and uneventful, which is mostly the normal for any ordinary person. As an only child, he was a little spoiled, by what only child isn't spoiled at least some? Yet, he was still kind in his heart and as he neared the age of entrance to the shinobi academy both parents, Ishida and Sato, talked to him about the Will of Fire and how he should engrave this idea into his heart. It would become something that would be there as an inner connection with every person within the village of the Hidden Leaf, something that would him give him not only strength but even peace of mind at times of need.

    Many clans normally have some type of event for their children just before they enter into the shinobi academy and the Aburame Clan is no different in that aspect. But how many people can say that their little ceremony involves attaching of a parasitic beetle larva to their child that would one day grow into an incredible swarm that inhabits their entire body? At the age of ten that time had come for Saito's as the Beetles Spring was upon them and the new generation of beetles would be born within a few days. Even though this was something that his parents and elders had been speaking about with Akiro, it was still something that worried him greatly.

    Who wouldn't worry about having something so strange and unknown taking over within their own body? Even with these fears there was no choice in the matter for the young Aburame child as it was something every one of the clansmen did, to not do so would mean that you did not wish to be a part of the clan. The week after his tenth birthday the child, along with about half a dozen other young children, were escorted out into part of the wilderness surrounding the Leaf village to a specific part owned by the Aburame clan which was strictly guarded to prohibit trespassers from entering. These guards then led the ground down underground through a tunnel system that didn't look like it had been dug by human hands. Pushing deeper and deeper as the temperature began to slightly drop while the soil and rocks became damp from the moisture trapped beneath the surface here.

    This was one of a handful of the beetle colonies nurtured by the Aburame Clan since the time back when they had first become a part of the village in its early years. It was here that hand selected members of the clan took great care in preserving the purity of the clan's three well known breeds of beetles. In the case of any mutations that might have occurred, those are seen as a threat to the other breeds and are removed immediately. The colony here housed all three current species of Aburame insect and today one of them would be chosen by the boy to inherit their new generation of beetles which were still in their larva form.

    Akiro moved closer and examined the new larva; this single organism would be the root of an entirely new colony of mushi with his body. He had been well educated upon the three species of battle but truthfully was unsure of which would be best suited for himself. As he remained crouched down in though a single larvae inched its way forward onto his hand and slowly ascended the exposed skin of the boys are white arm causing for Akiro suddenly standing up. It was almost as if this small creature had chosen him instead of the other way around. As it crawled onto his forearm there was an unexplainable burning sensation where the bug currently was as the tiny larva burrowed into the Aburame's skin.

    This sudden pain caused for the boy to shriek in pain and grasped his left forearm with his right hand before stumbling backwards and falling onto his backside. He could feel the organism wiggling inside his arm and moving up the arm, the boy couldn't explain the sensation with words at that moment. His eyes remained wide with shock and unsureness about the current situation as a single hand fell upping his shoulder, it was an old man appearing to be in his forties and one of the mushi keepers for the Aburame named Jinto. With a simple nod from the stranger, he began to slowly calm down and soon the Kikaichū breed would settle within its host and begin to spawn other Kikaichū larva which would populate the boy's body.

    Soon the newly promoted genin would be assigned to a team with fellow genin and their supervisor, a jounin by the name of Senju Taketo, he would begin to slowly develop as a shinobi but most of his other skills seemed to get placed on the back burner as his main priority was the insect swarm that was slowly growing within him; through using his chakra as fuel in order to do so. The young shinobi’s genin years were rather uneventful to say the least as it was a rinse and repeat of various missions appropriate for the team’s level of proficiency and tutoring from their sensei. Three years later at the age of sixteen and on his second attempt the now young man was able to successful endure and pass the trials of the chuunin exams in order to obtain the then prestigious rank of Chuunin. Something not only him but every genin in his generation was striving so hard to acquire so that they would be able to undertake missions they thought were the true reason of a shinobi, missions that put their lives on the line for their village and comrades.

    Yet, how would one ever guess that it was not the enemy that one could see that would be so dangerous to the chuunin but the one you would never have expected. On a mission at the age of seventeen with three other chuunin, two of the man’s fellow peers had plotted to steal secrets that they were transporting and leave the village and in doing so they caught the other chuunin and Akiro by surprise ambushing them. Left for dead, the chuunin was slowly bleeding out when a single masked man in a white cloak seemed to stumble upon them by sheer luck. An ANBU returning from a mission had found the two, though it was too late to save the other ninja the man was able to stop the Aburame’s bleeding and even track down and eliminate the other two whom had tried to take away secrets of the village.

    It was not long after the chuunin managed to recover that his entire outlook on the village and those within it changed, anyone could be the next threat and the bug user started to become more of a recluse and felt it difficult to trust even his parents. Yet, there was a single exception and that was the ANBU member who saved him, code name Hediko, who came looking for him not to long after the accident. In truth the jounin carried little about the boy or his state of mind, instead he saw an opportunity to recruit someone who would have a drive to deal with threats to the village that others wouldn’t have because of the lack of personal reasoning. After dealing with the entrance process over the course of a month the chuunin was soon placed in the man’s squad, the Tanto squad, and became a full member of the organization. Two years would pass in what seemed like the blink of an eye, the chuunin whom was now at the age of nineteen received the promotion to the rank of jounin and was third in command of the operating unit.

    Several missions and six years passed for the newly promoted jounin who through the help of other members of the ANBU community that were also fellow family member, the man had mutated his beetle, the Kikaichū, into something that was truly terrifying and possessed an ability that could only be compared to something that a demon or spirit could do, possess objects and perhaps even the living. And through it and his sense of strategy on the battlefield did Akiro manage to secure his place as second in command of the squad. But who knew that war was just beyond the horizon as the Great War broke out and the fighting between countries for land and resources was intense as he performed missions as both a jounin and ANBU member for the Hidden Leaf village. It was a bloody time where he lost a number of good friends and family to the intensity of the conflicts.

    Only after five long, war torn years had peace finally returned to the regions, however fragile that peace might actually be. If nothing else the blood-soaked conflict had done nothing more than reinforce the need for the Root and ANBU groups for the village in the man's mind as he looked forward at the future for the village and the threats that still lingers out in the world still against his homeland...
