Gender: Male
Appearance: Standing at 6’2”, weighing in at 217lbs, Kohon is a large man with an intimiating appearance. His shaggy black hair is cut short to his head, his eyes brown. He features a strong jaw lined, defined even further by the five ‘o clock shadow he seems to have at all times. Lacking any tattoos, his arms, chest, and back are all covered in large and small scars alike from his rigorous years of sword training. Kohon has two outfits, his standard outfit and an outfit with his gear. His standard outfit is what he normally wears, while his outfit with his gear being strictly for missions. His standard outfit is made up of a black shirt, and black pants. He wears his steel fiber cape with this outfit, clipped together on his chest, with the hood. He wears his forehead protector as his belt, and has no weaponry pouch, just the two hilts for his Nui Wei Dao. He wears black ninja shoes, as opposed to the sandles. When wearing his gear, he adds on his flak jacket, arm guards, and greaves.

Personality: Kohon spent much of his youth training, and it shaped him as a person. He was taught patience and perseverance. His training created a very calm demeanor, making Kohon someone who is very hard to read. This isn’t to say he doesn’t experience emotion, on the contrary Kohon has a very sympathetic heart. However, he doesn’t very often express his emotions in full. Happiness, to any length is just a small smile. When he gets angry he just doesn’t talk as much. When he’s laughing, it’s just a small chuckle. Many say this makes him very intimidating, and Kohon likes to embrace this, knowing intimidation is important in the world of a shinobi.

Meticulous and careful, Kohon does his best to notice the slight details in things. He sticks to his habits, and is always ensuring his body, and equipment are in their best shape. He’s always looking out for the safety of the people around him, and would quickly put himself between an innocent and the blade. A lawful good through and through, Kohon believes in playing by the rules. He’s a Kirigakure shinobi at heart, and despises the scum that tarnish the name of his village. He questions the methods of his village, as his moral compass was formed before the village could intercept them, but never questions his orders. He’s quick to perform, and always puts his best foot forward, to ensure that he does the best he can. Kohon is a welcoming soul, and is always encouraging people around him to learn and get to know each other. He believes strongly in the bonds he forms, but understands sacrifice must be made.

Kohon focuses on his weapon proficiency in combat primarily. Equip with a wide range of weapons Kohon is well equip for most situations and relies on his advanced hearing and array of weapons to track down and quickly finish his opponents. Due to the unique ability of his swords, it's not uncommon for Kohon to create a massive amount of dust and then quickly eliminate his opponent in a single blow. He aims for large, deadly blows to finish his opponent quickly, but if not incapable of dealing minor wounds and simply outlasting his opponent. Perhaps most important of Kohon's skills however are his genjutsu combined with his silent fighting style, that he uses to cause small distractions to create openings he can utilize.

He wears full arm guards on both arms, weighing approx 5lbs each, the guards have three metal fins along the outside of the
forearm that end in a sharp blade, allowing him to deal blows and catch swords. Both arm guards are bond to his arm by a clip that can be pressed to discard them.

He always wears metal greaves, weighing approx. 5lbs each. Over the knee cap are three 2 inch spikes in a triangle shape that

Two Niuewi Dao utilized by Kohon, they are each 27in long, and are 1.5in at their widest point, with a 8in hilt. Despite their small size they each weigh 4lbs, which gives them an incredible amount of force behind their strike, which can be very deceiving. Most important about these blades is that when they are swung, they release a stream of dust, the length of the swing, and about 1ft in thickness. This dust cannot be manipulated, and is easily blown away by fuuton jutsu. It’s effective in masking attacks, and causing coughing or slight itching. These Dao are kept in two hilts attached to his hips, one on each side.
Flak Jacket
Kohon wears an armored flak jacket, weighing about 30lbs, it gives Kohon resistance to blades and blunt impact.
Additionally, he wears a steel fiber cape that locks around his neck and has a hood attachment. He can wrap this around his body to help block attacks and protect him from various elements, but does have some weight to it. The flak jacket, cape and
gear weighs' him down by [3] speed, despite his strength. The cape can be released by undoing the clip that attaches it to the flak jacket. The flak jacket has a wire woven through it that binds it all together. By tugging on the wire the flak jacket will fall off his body.

Single BlowShow
Single Blow:
The Single Blow style is a Kenjutsu style focused around evasive maneuvers to close the distance between the user and opponents to get in close to finish the opponent with single strikes with swords. A mixture of speed and strength, practitioners of this style dance around the battlefield, and their opponent, until the time is right to land a heavy strike that ends the fight, often leaving victims cleaved clean in half.

Round Step

Aware a projectile is flying along their projected pathway, the user will step with their lead foot, and pivot, circling their body around the projectile. This will allow them to continue their path without losing any speed. This jutsu does not allow the user to bypass their wit or taijutsu stats, but simply allows the user to maintain speeds when making movements.

Side Step

Spin
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Utilized when the user is vulnerable on the ground, this technique allows him/her to get up easily while expelling nearby weapons and people. To perform Spin, the user swings their legs around above them, causing them to spin around. This subsequently knocks away the objects and people in their proximity at a strength equal to the user's while allowing the user to get to get up.

Experienced with their swords, the user is able to spin the sword in their hands, with Kohon’s dust producing swords, this allows him to rapidly create a large quantity of dust.

Scissor Cleave
C-rank Kenjutsu Maneuver
If the user has closed the distance between themselves and the opponent, they’ll spread their arms out wide, holding both swords out. With a quick inward swing with both arms, they’ll cleave both swords into the opponent, ranging from decapitating them, to bifurcating them depending on where the swords strike. The success of this technique is not independent of the targets armor, and other factors, and all should be considered when using the technique to determine how extensively it damages at target.

Gut
C-rank Kenjutsu Maneuver
Wielding a single sword, the user will hold the hilt with both hands. Pulling back, they’ll quickly thrust the sword forward into the opponent’s stomach, gutting them.

Slap

The user will strike with the flat of their sword, rather than the blade. This has an impressive amount of force, and anyone with 2 less strength than the user will be knocked to the ground.

Hilt Jab

When drawing a sword out of the sheath, the user will immediately follow with an upwards motion, slamming the hilt into the chin of someone directly in front of him. In a close quarters situation this is enough to disorient someone long enough to begin an attack.

Having years of experience with their sword, the user has learned to maximize efficiency by limiting themselves to only deliberate motions. Because of this, the user tends to be very still in fighting, only moving when necessary to attack or defend themselves. Due to the deliberateness of their movement, they are able to perform maximum strength attacks with their sword at any given moment.

When in enclosed areas, many swordfighters find themselves limited by space, and cannot use full force when attacking. This person has experience fighting in tight spaces, and is proficient in making quick, deadly strikes without sacrificing any power.

Bifurcate
B-rank Kenjutsu Maneuver
Due to the nature of the swords Kohon wields, he’s able to channel a great amount of power through them despite their small size. If ever given at least 10 feet between him and an opponent, Kohon simply has to charge forward with the sword extended and cleave straight through the opponent. If they do not put anything between themselves and the sword, or dodge the attack, Kohon will cleave straight through the enemy, killing them. The user has learned to move silently, and does not produce any sound when walking. They cannot be heard unless a person listening for them has a specialized hearing technique.

Any time the user is moving, they have trained themselves to be attuned to the sound of people moving. This passive technique allows the user to differentiate the sounds of multiple people to determine how many people are in a given area even if he can’t see them. Loud noises, or large quantities of people will throw off the success of this technique.

The user has attuned their hearing to the sound of things moving through the air. This allows them to hear projectiles flying at them from a general location, even if they can’t see them. This technique does not work in enclosed areas where sounds bounce off walls/doors/windows/etc.

The user will do a series of hand seals then let out a quick whistle. Anyone who hears this whistle will experience no change, however if they come within 2m of the user in the next 3 posts they will suddenly hear the sound of foot steps approaching behind them for 10 steps, then the genjutsu ends.

Kunai
D-rank Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then make a throwing motion. Anyone who sees this will see a kunai with an exploding tag fly from the users hand in the direction they threw it. The kunai will disappear if it hits anyone, otherwise it will stay wherever it landed for 3 posts then disappear.

Shadow
D-rank Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals then let out a quick whistle. Anyone who hears this will experience no change, however if they come within 2m of the user in the next 3 posts they will see a shadow come from above them, as if someone is jumping to block out the sun, descending on them. This shadow lasts for only a brief moment then vanishes.

Buzzing
D-rank Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals then whistle, anyone who hears the whistle will suddenly hear buzzing in their ears. While it isn't too loud, it will cover up quiet sounds such as foot steps. The buzzing lasts for 4 posts then fades as if a bug flew away.

Hot
D-rank Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals then let out a whistle, activating this genjutsu in anyone who hears. For the next 3 posts, anytime the victim touches metal it will be hot. Though not hot enough to burn them, it will be uncomfortable if they sustain contact.

Black Out
C-rank Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals to activate this technique. Anyone who sees him do so will experience no change, however if they come within 2m of the user in the next 3 posts they will experience a sudden flash of light which will blind them for a brief moment before returning their sight to them perfectly, ending the genjutsu.

Shocking
C-rank Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals then snap his fingers. Anyone who sees him do so will see a spark of electricity jump from his fingers. If they get within 2m of the user in the next three posts they will feel a sudden shocking sensation in their hands, typically enough to interrupt hand seals or make them drop whatever they’re holding.

Tunnel Vision
C-rank Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals then point a weapon at their target. If the target sees this they will develop tunnel vision that lasts for 4 posts.

Suspense of Disbelief
B-rank Status Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals then point at a target. If the target sees this pointing motion they will entered a state of Suspended Disbelief. While not having a direct effect, this makes victims less inclined to question abnormal events, something typically required when in theatre. For the sake of this technique it means that when seeing the results of genjutsu, or if the user has a weird action that acts as an initiator, the target will be less inclined to question it. This technique lasts for 5 posts.

History Kohon was born to a typical shinobi family. Both his parents were genjutsu users, his father a chuunin, his mother a special jounin. They were committed to the village, just as any other shinobi were, but they had other aspirations in life. Being shinobi was almost secondary to them. They continued to do their job, and to re-up their contracts, but they wanted a family. They loved each other, and wanted to share their lives. Enter Kohon, he was smart, loving, and friendly. He got along with people, and was a quick learned. When he became of age, he was a shoe-in for the top academy.

He had a knack for genjutsu, just as his parents expected, but he was never really into them. Perhaps the concept of them had grown old, having been surrounded by them his entire life. What he really loved was taijutsu. Ninjutsu was too much “magic” for him, too much sitting down and getting no results. But taijutsu? It was brilliant. Gorgeous. You could see your body getting stronger, getting tighter. You could feel the energy through you as you kicked and swung, ducked and dived. Yes, yes, Kohon loved taijutsu.

When he graduated from the academy, he focused all his skills into being a taijutsu master. He did his best to master his punches, and to get good at his kicks. He knew that with taijutsu, he’d have to be strong, and he’d have to be fast. Without any way to fight at a range, he would he to be able to dodge attacks, and close distance. He knew that, even when he was young, so he was a focused and diligant learner.

He graduated when he was almost 9, and by time he was 11, he had decided he wanted to get more proficient in weaponry. So, with two renewed contracts under his belt, Kohon decided not to renew his third. He instead, gave his life to a blacksmith that worked in the merchant caste. Known for his unique swords, Kohon knew this was the man that could shape his future. Kohon worked tirelessly under this mans guidance, to learn the ways of his smithing. This man had many secrets beyond smithing, however. By time Kohon was 14, the smith said he no more smithing skills to teach Kohon. But Kohon knew there was more the old man could teach. Kohon knew there were many skills the man had once had. And Kohon wanted to learn them.

For 4 more years, Kohon was under the mans tutelage. Here, he learned all of the swords arts. He was amazed at the way the smithing so naturally correlated to the swordsman skills. How many of the things he was taught to craft a sword, helped in using the sword as well. Kohon was still under the man’s guidance when the old man died. The man’s son inherited the smith shop, but Kohon had nothing to learn from his son. So he decided he would return to the duty he had been born to do. He had been out of duty 7 years at that point, and re-entered service to the village. Still only a genin, Kohon was lightyears ahead of his class. He took his chuunin test mere weeks into reentering services, and passed with flying colours.

As a chuunin, however, he did meet some difficulty. His opponents were smarter, stronger, faster...better. So he had to continuing getting better as well. He began focusing on his fundementals again. Learning how to move quietly. To hear more. To move with precision and accuracy, to become a shinobi that could kill with a single blow. Then, something amazing happened. The son of the smith that taught him everything contacted him, telling him that he had found something of his fathers he thought Kohon deserved.

The Ancient Twins. They weren’t exemplary, or anything world changing, but the son thought Kohon deserved to have one of his fathers more personal works. Kohon took the Ancient Twins with confidence, he had already began developing the skills needed to use them. So he continued on. He showed ingenuity and masterful insight into tactics and hand to hand combat. Yes, Kohon was young, but he was destined to be great. At 19, only a year after he qualified for chuunin, Kohon went up for jounin. It was a natural progression, and it was a surprise to no one.

Kohon has since been placed in several teams, all trying to find the right fit for someone designed to rule the battlefield on his own. He’s recently been paired with another swordsman, who gets along with him rather well. He has set his eyes on the prestige of the best swordsmen in the village, the Seven Swordsmen.

General Information
Type: Henchmen
Gender: Male
Age: 12
Appearance: Standing at 4’6” and weighing in at just over 65lbs, Kowai is still just a boy. His small frame is exaggerated by the baggy shirt and pants he wears. His skin is pure, pale white that seems to be a result of his years in the mist, with a complete lack of blemishes, scars, or marks with the exception of freckles that dot his cheeks just under his large, blue eyes. Almost unnatural in size, and brightness, Kowai’s eyes are likely his most notable feature, his silky black hair hangs loose around his head, at ear length, parted to keep his eyes in view. Small delicate fingers, and smooth joints give the small boy a pure and innocent look.
Personality:
  • General: Much like his boyish look, Kowai is full of boyish charm. He’s shy and quiet most of the time, rarely speaking and hiding from onlookers. When around people he’s comfortable with, Kowai will speak up more often, but his soft voice and quiet demeanor often demands people lean towards him, or ask him to speak up. He’s easily discouraged, most of the time, and if he has to repeat himself too often, will simply give up and retreat back to hiding. The only time Kowai feels fully in place is when playing with his porcelain dolls, which he is extremely defensive of.
  • Hopes/Dreams: Kowai’s true passion is his porcelain dolls, and dreams that one day a Mizukage will ask him to make a doll of themselves.
  • Fears: Kowai is terrified of….just about everything. Fire, spiders, heights, public spaces, crowds, using the bathroom outside of his house, talking to groups of people, drowning, bears, dogs, cats, and the list goes on and on. The only time Kowai seems oblivious to his fears is when he’s defending his dolls.
  • Combat Mentality: Kowai absolutely refuses to fight, except for under one specific circumstance: defending his dolls. Specifically, his prized doll. If anyone insults his dolls, tries to damage one of his dolls, or even so much as touches them without his permission, Kowai flips into a rage, filled with a blood thirst that often cannot be sated without killing them. While measures can be taken to prevent this, and to stop him from taking their life, Kowai is well known by the Kirigakure command structure for his...volitile nature.

A [D-rank] doll, Gishou is approximately 24inchs tall, and weighs about 5lbs. The small boy doll is dressed in a white t-shirt with a winter jacket with a fur lining, and black pants with small black shoes. He has bright blue eyes, and blonde hair that hangs down to his neck. Small features, with skinny arms and legs, Gishou has bright pink lips that default into a wide smile as if he just finished laughing. Gishou has One Mechanism
  • Gishou’s fingers each have senbon built into them, and they can be extended at any point to act like claws capable of tearing through flesh.

Abilities and Concentrations [c] A unique ability of Kowai, this ability has a function similar to that of an elemental body. Kowai carries around small porcelain dolls that he can, in a way, turn “on”. When activated, the dolls function with clone stats. This is not unique, however, the unique part is that Kowai can actively replace himself with a doll. In this case, his body receives the clone stats the doll had, and his stats are transferred to the doll. This often severely limits his own combat ability, to rapidly and suddenly, enhances the combat power of his doll. While in the dolls, he functions as an elemental body, able to function regardless of damage and passively repair himself, and use his doll parts as fuel for jutsu. However, this leaves his main body susceptible to attacks. The porcelain dolls have bright blue eyes that act as their anchor, only one must be destroyed to disconnect the doll, which kills Kowai unless he returns to his own body via jutsu beforehand. These dolls are designed under the [Puppet] rules for mechanisms, but are treated as a rank above (C-rank doll get D-rank mechanisms, and so forth). Kowai can only use one doll at any given time. Kowai can channel any [Lets Play Dolls] jutsu, but cannot channel Porcelain jutsu, even when inside a doll. For the purpose of jutsu, when Kowai is inside a doll, his body is treated as a doll as well.

The user will channel into one of their dolls, allowing it to sense where the user is, and return to it. This works even if the dolls senses are subdued or blocked, or if it’s under misdirection. The doll must be within 30m of him for this to work.

Bronze Edition

The user will channel into a D-rank doll within 10m of them, allowing them to take over the dolls body, and transfer the clone stats to their own body. This is permanent until released. While possessing a doll, their [Bright blue porcelain eyes] act as their anchor. Destroying either eye will kill the user. Killing the users body causes them to be trapped inside a doll until a new body is found or their body is repaired and returned to life.

The user will do a series of hand seals, then focus on two pieces of porcelain he’s either touching, or within 5m of him. If they were formerly connected, the two pieces of porcelain will adjust to where they broke, and join back together, repairing their damage.

The user will do a series of hand seals then focus on a piece of porcelain within 20m of him. When struck, the porcelain will crack away from the impact, even if it was not strong enough to break it, and reveal jagged teeth of porcelain that cut with 5 strength.

Reform
D-rank Porcelain Jutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then focus on one the porcelain dolls. Any cracks on the dolls, or minor breaks on the face, fingers, or feet, will repair themselves at 5 speed over the course of 2 posts. The doll must be within 10m of him for this to work.

The user will do a series of hand seals and focus on a piece of porcelain no larger than 8inches by 8inches, and reinforce it with 5 strength, increasing it’s resistance to being broken. The target must be within 10m of him for this to work.

The user will do a series of hand seals, then channel chakra through one of their dolls. Anyone who hears the next auditory sound the doll makes will be caught in this genjutsu for 5 posts. Whenever the user looks at someone’s eyes, they’ll see the eyes as if they were doll eyes, glassy and bright blue. No matter where the target moves, the eyes will appear to follow them, often giving a creeping sensation.

The user will do a series of hand seals, then channel chakra through one of their dolls. Anyone who hears the next auditory sound the doll makes will be caught in this genjutsu for 5 posts. For the next 5 posts, the target will sporadically hear the sound of tiny foot steps rushing somewhere around them. When they turn to look at the sound, nothing will be there. This can be very deceptive and distracting when used correctly.

Echo
D-rank Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then channel chakra through one of their dolls. The next person to look at the doll will have this genjutsu initiated in them for 4 posts. This genjutsu causes all the sounds originating from the user, or their dolls, to echo slightly. The echo is weak, but distinct, and can be very off putting if combined with other genjutsu. This echo also echoes sounds made in genjutsu.

Goosebumps
C-rank Status Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then channel chakra through one of their dolls. Anyone who hears the next auditory sound the doll makes will be caught in this genjutsu for 5 posts. Once activated, the genjutsu causes a sort of creeping sensation in the targets mind. While not strong, the feeling is often enough to cause goosebumps. When used appropriately this genjutsu can help put someone on edge and freak them out.

History Born to a different name, Kowai’s had two unique parents, eccentric merchants that lived below their means, despite having noble blood. They angered their families with their strange lifestyles that brought shame to their names. Before he was even two, Kowai’s parents were murdered in their own homes, Kowai left sitting in a pool of their blood, his mothers glassy eyes locked onto his. The young boy would never understand what happened to him, and he was found clutching onto a porcelain doll given to him by his parents, crying from hunger. He moved through foster homes throughout Kirigakure, taken care of by his noble blood, given a new name and denied his parentage.

He was raised in a comfortable life style in various noble homes, treated as a “nephew” or “cousin”, not the son of that exotic pair that died...mysteriously in the night. Eventually, an experiment within Kirigakure’s depth needed a new candidate, and Kowai, sitting in a unique position, was chosen at the tender age of 6. Through 4 years of experimentation, deception, and manipulation, the fragile young boy became reclusive and quiet. Finally after all the years he was released back into the village, a completely different person. He would be considered a ward of the village, no longer belonging to his family as he was considered more of a "thing" than a person. He was immediately entered into the academy where he sat as an outcast...except for one trait.

He was vicious. The boy showed no fear in fighting classmates who tried to touch the precious doll he carried with him everywhere he went. He excelled, despite his meek demeanor, and proved to be truly what Kirigakure was about: power. After graduating from the academy, the boy was carried for by his family and monitored closely by the village. He was no conventional chuunin, despite standing on par with one in terms of skill. Finally, the village elected to find him a suitable candidate to shape him into the legend he could surely become.
