Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Kazue has long white hair that she often keeps back and out of her face. Her eyes are a pale blue, often seen cold and emotionless.
  • Body: Kazue has spent years training her body, and it shows. Her body is built of a lean muscle though it is not so detailed as to appear as a six-pack in the abs or something of that nature. Her skin is still smooth and feminine without too much detail in the muscle tissue.
  • Notable Features: Kazue has only a single scar across her back from one shoulder and down/across nearly to her hip. It is the only scar she hasn't had removed by Iijutsu.
Clothing/Accessories: Kazue's ensemble is meant to allow free movement while protecting most of her modesty. Most of it is made of a deep purple, nearly black, dyed leather. An upper bodice that has a front piece coming down to tie against a piece that looks much like underwear, but the two coming together to look more like a very short skirt. She also wears thin leggings of the same dark color as the rest, gloves going up past her elbow. In addition she has metal guards on her shoulders and hips that may detach when not needed. She often wears a dark red scarf that can be brought up over her head as a hood.
Personality:
  • General: Kazue is known most for being quiet, cold, and collected. Emotional outbursts are something that haven't been seen from her since she was young. She is also rather unforgiving. Slights against her are often repaid in blood.
  • Hopes/Dreams: Kazue has not been a girl with either hopes or dreams for a very long time. Her only goals now involve gaining strength to bring glory to her village, that she might be a weapon wielded by the village.
  • Fears: Kazue would be foolish enough to say she's a woman without fear, however the fact is she has a rather simple fear. She fears total failure.
  • Combat Mentality: The best way to describe Kazue's combat mentality is total focus. Once she has a target in sight, and her intent is clear, she will not hesitate in her goals whether that goal is to kill her target, or otherwise.

The mist covers 20x20x20m area. The mist limits the visibility of those inside to 4 meters in any direction. This technique lasts a number of posts equal to 1/2 the user's stamina.

*Moving Mist Technique

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will cause the mist to shift and move in whatever direction they please. This mist moves at 5 speed, and while casting this technique the user cannot move or cast other techniques.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user slowly moves their hand down, stabilizing the mist in the area. D-rank fuuton jutsu will still work in the mist, but will no longer displace it, allowing the mist jutsu to be maintained easier. Additionally, the duration of the mist will be extended by 2 posts.

After performing the correct seals, the user materializes and creates a clone of themselves. When destroyed, they explode in a poof of *Hidden Mist Technique. The hidden mist will release and burst outward from the clone. This acts as a good container and transportation for the mist jutsu. These clones can only use taijutsu. These clones have a taijutsu of 3, stamina of 3, strength of 1, and 5 in Speed. The clone exists for a maximum of 4 posts before detonating early.

*Thick Mist

While inside the mist, the user will perform the correct seals and clasp their hands to initiate the jutsu. The water will increase and substantially grow in thickness. This will make anything that enters or is within the mist experience -3 speed so long as they are inside it. This technique lasts 4 posts.

*Mist Constriction

After performing the correct handseals, the user will focus on a 3x3x3m area of mist. This mist will then become extremely dense, weighing down with 10 strength. Anyone caught within this area with less than 10 strength will be unable to move, and anything with more than 10 strength passing through the area will have its speed reduced by 6.

While inside the mist, the user will perform the correct seals and clasp their hands to initiate the jutsu. In response, the whole mist will become outstandingly thick with water. The opponent and anyone inside the mist will be able to move normally, but their breathing space will be limited and choked with water. This causes them to lose 1 point of stamina for every post they spend in the mist. This jutsu lasts for 10 posts.

The user will do a series of hand seals, then throw their hands downwards. From the top of the mist cloud, water will rapidly condense, forming into golf ball size pebbles that will rain down with 30 strength at 10 speed, throughout the area of the mist for one post.

After forming the required hand seals, the ninja creates a blanket of mist which covers the area around them. The mist covers 40x40x40m area. The mist limits the visibility of those inside to 2 meters in any direction, and dampens scents, weakening any advanced scent techniques, or controlled scent techniques by 2m. Additionally, sound is dampened as well, which can make it more difficult to communicate plans through the mist without advanced hearing techniques. This technique lasts a number of posts equal to the user's 1/2 stamina.

After doing the needed hand seals, the user creates a small vortex of Fuuton chakra around a projectile in their hand that spins with a strength of 5. This causes the projectile to corkscrew through the air, allowing it to travel an extra 10m and applying the Fuuton passive when thrown. This doesn't make the projectile any faster, only increases its range and ability to cut.

After doing the needed hand seals, the user gathers wind around their feet. Then, the user will use the wind to blast them from the ground, enabling them to leap into the air an extra 10 meters at 3 extra speed. The user also has 3 less Taijutsu until they once again touch the ground. Those with less than 5 Taijutsu (after deduction) will stumble and fall when trying to land. The Fuuton passive is not applied in this technique.

After performing the needed hand seals, the user is able to glide on air as if they were skating on ice. This allows them to move faster (+3 speed) but lowers their accuracy and agility (-3 Taijutsu). This doesn't allow them to fly, but rather to travel over things like land, water, and ice with greater ease. The user is only held several inches off of the ground. This Jutsu does not expire until the user’s chakra supply runs out or the user shuts it off. The fuuton passive is not applied in this technique.

After performing the needed hand seals, the user covers a projectile they are holding in fuuton empowered wind. Then, when the weapon has been thrown as normal, the user is able to change it's direction by up to 90 degrees once with no drop in momentum on the projectiles part. This technique only lasts one post.

After performing the required hand seals, the user expels a basket ball sized ball of wind from their mouth. This ball of wind travels up to 20m at 5 speed, and explodes with the strength of a single explosive tag on contact with solid matter or at the end of its range.

By performing the needed hand seals and bringing their hands to their mouth, the user can release a wide blast of air. This wave of air moves outward in a cone shape with a 15m width at the end of the cone and moves with a speed of 10. Once it makes contact with a substance, the wind both cuts at it and pushes it away with 10 strength. This blast goes out for a maximum of thirty feet if it doesn't hit anything, where it will dissipate into the surrounding air.

After forming the necessary hand seals, the user will thrust their hands forward as a vortex of wind blasts through with a speed of 10. The vortex's direction can be controlled with a Control stat of at least 15. The control, however, is limited; it can only be moved in a 45 degree angle, up to three times. A hit from this vortex packs a large push back force, though the person can avoid being pushed back with a strength of 5 or greater. Control of this Jutsu fades after two posts and spans an area 3m wide and up to 20m in length. Direct hits result in long but shallow cuts on the victim's body, covering the whole radius of the techniques point of contact, no deeper than half an inch.

After forming the necessary hand seals, the user coats their weapon in a vortex of wind. This extends the weapon's range by 1m while not adding anything to its weight for 5 posts. It also causes the weapon to gain an edge as sharp as your average sword. This also applies the fuuton passive with a strength of 10 on contact with an opponent.

After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will create a clone out of their fuuton chakra. This clone will be able to act entirely independently of the user for 5 posts before dissipating, with physical capabilities equal to the stats listed below. The user will first perform the required hand seals and then gather wind around an opponent. This will form a tornado around them at a speed of 12 which extends 10m into the air and has a radius of 3m. The tornado will push back anything that touches it with a strength of 8, while also cutting at whatever tries to push through as well as a kunai would with the same strength. This technique lasts for 4 posts.

After making the required hand seals, the user will focus chakra into their mouth. They will release the wind chakra as a large sphere with a 10m radius at 20 speed, which has a maximum range of 50m. Should the target be hit within the first 30m, the attack will inflict the maximum amount of damage, causing an explosive force equivalent to 4 explosive tags, spreading cutting winds capable of slicing close to the bone over the same area. Should they be struck in the last 20m, it will only apply 3 explosive tags worth of force and range.

After performing the required hand seals, the user stirs a great amount of wind around their person. A tornado with a 10m radius will form around them at 20 speed, extending up to 30m in the air. This wall of wind is perfect for defence or trapping an opponent in an enclosed area. Anything that tries to pass through the winds will be sliced viciously with 20 strength blades of wind as sharp as katana blades. This technique lasts for 4 posts, unless released earlier.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will spray water created from the inside of their chest through their mouth. Once the water is expelled, it will form an umbrella shape that is concave to the user and about two meters in diameter. This defense is somewhat solid and can be formed in any direction the user can spit, up to five meters away. The defense is shot at a speed of 5 and has a strength of 5 and unless completely destroyed it lasts for three posts before falling lifelessly to the ground.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will form a shuriken of water approximately 6 centimeters in diameter in their hand. When kai'd, this shuriken explodes with a force equal to a D-Rank explosion and covers the immediate area in water. If not consumed, this technique lasts for three posts.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will form a dense ball of water approximately 6 centimeters in diameter in their hands. Upon lurching forward, they will release the ball towards an opponent up to 10 meters away at a speed of 6 and with a strength of 4.

After channeling chakra into their hands the user will fire two jets of water from their hand, essentially hurling and propelling themselves in the opposite direction of their jets as if thrown by a strength of 5.

Upon impact it will burst spilling all over the immediate area making it extremely slippery. After performing the correct hand seals the user expels three 3 2-centimeter diameter droplets of water from their mouth in quick succession, each of which explode with a force of one D-Rank explosion each on impact, scattering water all over the immediate area. After performing the correct hand seals the user expels a massive conical water torrent that drenches an area thoroughly, capable of soaking a meter down nearly instantly for soil and like materials. After performing the correct hand seals the user expels a massive tidal wave of water 10 meters wide and nearly 5 meters tall. This wave travels forward at a speed of 10 and with a strength of 10 for up to 15 meters before losing it's steam and failing.

Created to safely incapacitate opponents, after performing the correct hand seals, if the opponent is within 15 meters and is standing a top a body of water with the user's chakra in it, the user will begin to churn their chakra causing the water to turn into a vortex and engulf the opponent, trapping them in a vortex about two meters in diameter. Once the target is inside, the user must hold the last seal and cannot use any other techniques, capable of holding this for up to five posts. In order to escape, the target must have at least 10 strength to physically make their way out, or the user must be disrupted. Most shinobi would pass out after two posts due to a lack of oxygen. However, if a target possesses a stamina stat higher than 10, it would require three posts for them to pass out. Should the target possess a stamina stat above 20, it would require five posts for them to pass out, but anything higher than 30 would allow them to resist passing out altogether.

*Suiton • Water Dragon Projectile

After performing the correct hand seals the user creates a dragon head of water. Once it has been created, the user can launch the three-meter diameter projectile towards a target at a speed of 15 and with a strength of 25 for up to 20 meters. Following the head is a long body and tail, stretching nearly six-meters. During the course of it's travel, the user may alter the course of the dragon three times, allowing it to complete a U-turn per alteration.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will expel a large amount of water from their body as a sweeping defense against hostile techniques. The water from the technique forms a cylinder around the user at a speed of 15, and flows around the user. It is approximately 7 meters around and 2 meters thick, leaving only the top unprotected. The wall has the ability to deflect things with a strength of 25, but even if something break through, the walls thick nature makes traversing through the water fully troublesome. The wall lasts up to three posts unless dispelled earlier by the user or destroyed.

B-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user is able to spew a large ball of water that stands at three meters in diameter. This ball rolls forward at the desired target up to 20 meters away and at a speed of 20. Should this strike the target, they will become engulfed within the sphere. However, if this manages to strike multiple targets, it will envelop them as well, up to a total of 3 prisoners. One can resist being pulled into the ball if they have a strength higher than 20. The trapped targets will spin with the sphere and may become nauseated and dizzy from the disorientation. The technique lasts for a total of 4 posts before bursting.
Yoshin Style - TaijutsuShow
Yoshin Kenjutsu:
Yoshin Kenjutsu is a style of sword techniques that originate from Waterfall Country. The style's method of attack is considerably different from normal sword techniques, as each one is actually focused more on intelligent strikes to the body at critical places. Nerves, muscles, organs, even joints, are all targets of Yoshin Style. Because of this, practioners typically use short blades such as wakizashi or kodachi, though katana users are not unheard of. The typical stance of the style is to hold your sword at chest level to make the typical jabbing motions of the style more accessible.

Prerequisite: 10 Taijutsu
After practicing for a long amount of time with the concept of using both of their hands with equal skill, the user has developed a level of ambidexterity that allows them to utilize their preferred weaponry without any sort of issue. This extends to other methods of combat or simple everyday life as well.

Prerequisite: 5 Instinct
After stepping up beside the target or sidestepping an attack from the target, the user utilizes a quick striking method, drawing a very firm slash across the side, ribcage or arm of the target. The user slashes with the intent to both injure and startle the opponent, hoping to catch them off guard and disrupt the flow of their attacks. Unlike many other Yoshin techs that focus on shallow cuts that flare up in pain, this particular technique is meant to dig as deep as possible, many times slashing into bones to cause as much long term damage as possible.

Prerequisite: 5 Instinct
With a quick feint, the user quickly draws their sword up in an arc, aiming at a foe's eyes usually with intent to slash across their face and injure their eyes. The nature of the technique's movements make it easily read, prompting the target to avoid or dodge.

D-Ranked Kenjutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 5 Instinct
Using a quick striking method, the user of this technique quickly draws a very firm slash towards the hands of the target aimed towards the fingers or palm. The user slashed with the intent to injure the gripping portions of the opponent's hand to knock weapons free with the slash, though the attack itself is shallow. Typically the technique is only useful as a quick disarm method and unsuitable for long term disarming.

History There are so few childhoods that can really be called unique, even in Kirigakure. The life of Kazue began just like many others. She was brought screaming into the world from a woman barely in her twenties and who had gotten married young. Her mother's name and father's name however are words the young has not spoken for years, she hardly remembers who they were. Still, it did not change the fact that her life began rather happy. Her father was a shinobi and her mother worked in a small clothing store in the village. The woman was well known to be all smiles, happy, and thoroughly in love with the man she saw Kazue's father to be. She knew little of what he did as a shinobi, simply because the man often worked as an assassin. He spilled blood for his village and did all he could to keep his work out of his home. As he had fallen in love with his wife he was often heard saying she was his escape from the bloodshed, and so even as they had gotten married he never told her anything about his missions. Some thought the pair fools, living in a so-called paradise that only children sought, and yet for a time they were happy behind their rose-colored eyes in this life.

Kazue was born of this happiness, herself and her twin sister Keiko were inseparable from the day they met. By time they reached the appropriate age, both were begging their father to enroll them into the village academy. The man at first denied them, wanting to keep his girl's sheltered from that life but his denying them did not last long. They not only pestered the man, he began to receive pressure from his own family to cave to the girls' wishes. When he finally did he made them promise him only one thing, that they would avoid his path as a shinobi. They were children, full of smiles and living a sheltered life, as much as one could in Kiri, and they made that promise to their father with very little idea of just what he meant. As Kazue went into her Genin years she felt as if it were her time to shine, her optimism was at an all time high, a high she would never see again. Yet unfortunately it didn't last long. Her first year was quiet, small missions that certainly didn't amount to much, the standards of helping out locals with various tasks. Though one day as she was tasked to help a local with something concerning their business, she was paired up with a boy from the Karagata. He was only a year older than her, but he was already cold and Kazue found him heartless. The things he said bothered her, especially when he spoke of the worthlessness of life itself. He spoke of death as if dealing it out was an every day occurrence for him, a boy who had actually been prepared for a life of bloodshed. As Kazue wasn't brought up prepared for such a thing she found himself insufferable and often tried to avoid him. Yet the more she tired to get away from him, the more she saw of him. His name was Riku, and as he came to realize just how sheltered Kazue really was, the more he took an interest in picking on her. Naturally, as things go in Kiri, that picking turned rather quickly into a rivalry. Kazue's father quickly explained the concept to her and within a month of finding herself hating Riku, she found herself meeting him daily for a spar that they might both better themselves in battle.

As Kazue and Riku spent more and more time together, sparring, training, and running missions, they both matured. Kazue matured in that she started to see the world within Kiri for what it really was. Riku matured in that he saw Kazue's naivety as a weakness and a problem, and so the young Karagata took it upon himself to begin teaching her everything he could about the world, about fighting, and most importantly the need to kill on behalf on one's village without hesitation. Kazue's father wasn't happy about these developments or lessons, but he said nothing against it, knowing it was the path his daughter had chosen. It was the path the twins had both chosen, he was just glad to see the pair weren't rivals against one another. He didn't think they'd have the strength to truly fight one another to their fullest abilities when the time came.

At the age of fourteen Kazue had her toughest lesson in the world of Kiri and bloodshed. Everything took a sudden turn as she came home one day to find her mother lying in a puddle of her own blood, dead, at the feet of Kazue's father as he still held the blade he had killed her with and tears streamed down her face. Kazue would find out later that her mother had been using her connections with suppliers at her shop in order to pass along information to those outside of Kiri. She had been writing down what little information she knew from her husband about his missions and the happenings of the village and passing the messages along. When the village found out, they put out an assassination order on the woman and gave Kazue's father first chance at it. It was made clear to him that it was the only way to prove he wasn't part of the problem, and so without hesitation he slaughtered his own wife. However before he could find out anything further the grief overtook him and shortly before Kazue came to her Chunin exam, the man committed suicide. Considering her father committed suicide just days prior to her first attempt at the Chunin Exam, Kazue failed and rather miserably at that. Her rival, Riku, left her battered and bloody in such a way that she was in the hospital for two weeks before she was permitted out. Even then she had an appointed guardian for a time, her aunt, her and her own twin living with the woman following the tragic loss of both their parents. Keiko hated it there, she hated living with the woman as she found her to be rather paranoid and controlling of the twins' lives and their activities. Keiko was the more out going of the two and boy obsessed, and so naturally she hated having an authority over her like her aunt. Yet Kazue herself was a bit different. She was quiet, had only had a couple of crushes growing up that she had never pursued. She wasn't outgoing in the least and didn't mind the control much at all. In some ways she liked it, she felt like it showed how much the woman cared about her. After losing the two people she had always seen as being so in love and loving of herself and her twin, it was almost a relief to see there was someone who still cared.

Yet there was much to attend to with no regard to love. She trained every day, her rival, though he was now a Chunin, still trained with her. He pushed Kazue harder than ever and not just physically. He pushed her mentally, hammering into her own head the harshness of life that she still fought to keep from her mind. Every day that she came home her Aunt would say she could see the girl slowly changing. Within her mind she was fighting a battle against the tragedy of her parents, and the words of Riku, she fought to hold on to her own naivety and that sheltered upbringing she had lived in for so long. Yet a day was coming that it would all win out, that she would give in to that reality, but no one saw it coming the way it did.

Kazue was given another chance at the chunin exam, and thanks to Riku's aide, she passed. It seemed so much simpler she would often tell Riku she didn't think her opponent had been nearly as strong as he had been, but the Karagata boy would constantly remind her that she was the one who had become far stronger. As Kazue basked in her own happiness at attaining Chunin, a rare moment of happiness at that, everything fell apart again. Her sister, who had made Chunin some time ago, had gone outside the village on what seemed a small mission to help out a neighboring town and had never come home. There were rumors of plot and Kazue was given the task of finding her sister. If rumors were true, she was to kill her own twin. Naturally Kazue was not allowed to go alone.
Kazue was more than a little surprised that her own rival, Riku, was appointed to go along with her for this mission. A third party of the rank Jounin was sent along as well but frankly Kazue never really noticed who the man was. She knew why they were there, their job was to keep her on task as she went on the hunt and if she couldn't complete her mission, they would do it for her. By time they had garnered the information necessary to find her twin's location, Kazue was a fresh Special Jounin. Her sister's betrayal didn't seem to phase the girl even as she had progressed through her life as a shinobi and her callousness showed even more as she went on the hunt itself.

Riku would later be quoted as saying that Kazue killed her twin without a second thought, despite Keiko screaming and begging her sister to understand, begging her to stand by her side. No Kazue showed no emotion in the moment and she did not spare her sister. She killed her and carried the body back to Kiri herself. It was upon her return that she made two new vows.

She vowed to never waver from her village loyalty, disavowing her own family name in the process.

And she vowed to serve the Karagata in any request made of her. She wanted to become an assassin, a goal she was already well on her way to attaining. In addition she felt that she owed the family Riku belonged to, for in her mind it was that family that was responsible for the shinobi she had become, through Riku. He had trained her, he had toughened her up and even walked alongside her as she had performed the hardest task ever set before her.

It's said the woman feels nothing, and now, as a Jounin and some time after her sister's death, she strives to make a name for herself and her village.
