Physical Features:
- Face/head: Hazumi's face has soft skin and narrowed eyes. The eyes are a dark brown, a color closer to chocolate than anything else. He also has short and scruffy hair, the kind that always looks unorganized and messy no matter how much he tried to take care of it. The hair is blonde but doesn't get in his eyes even during various movements and actions.
- Body: The best word to describe Hazumi's body is lanky, as he's on the skinnier side and never really showed any sort of proficiency in taijutsu. His pale skin is another sign that he doesn't train out very much, as he usually works on his own ninjutsu indoors.
- Notable Features: Hazumi has a birthmark on the top right of his forehead. They are three brown moles that form a triangle. The mark holds no significance and has been there since the day he was born.
Personality:
- General: Coming from a modest family, Hazumi was always taught to show respect to all. Hazumi's father only ever received the rank of special jounin, and as such never made it to the highest tier of shinobi. Knowing the family's lower position, Hazumi will always try to be kind and make friends in order to not bring trouble to himself or his family name. He's not agreeable to the point of being annoying, but it takes someone really pushing his buttons for him to go out of his way to be rude to them in return.
- Hopes/Dreams: Hazumi wants to achieve the rank of Jounin over anything else, as it would be a rank higher than his father ever achieved. Along with this he wants to become one of the most proficient fire users in Kiri.
- Fears: Hazumi fears that he'll perform poorly as a shinobi due to his weaker physical state, and that he'll bring a bad name to his family.
- Combat Mentality:As a Ninjutsu expert Hazumi would prefer a mid-range battle over everything else. Using his fire jutsu he aims to light his enemies on fire and just let them burn away.

Hazumi was born to his parents, Melka and Enya Bikou. Enya was a shinobi in the mist village, having attained the rank of Special Jounin and having a specialty in torture and interrogations. As a lower member of the Karagata family, Enya had no problem with being ruthless. Learning about violence at a young age allowed him to be able to torture someone for hours with no feelings of remorse or hesitation. He preferred to use electricity to make his enemies talk, not being a fan of the genjtusu that warped the senses. He believed that the best way to make someone talk was purely through pain. Melka on the other hand wasn't a shinobi at all, bur rather a civilian that Enya fell in love with. She was known around the village for selling bouquets of flowers. Enya enjoyed her soft and beautiful nature, and found that she was a joy to come home to. The two were married and soon bore a child together. The union didn't come without its problems though. Several members of the Karagata family, including Enya's own parents, did not approve of the marriage, believing that a child born from a non-shinobi female would be too weak to be useful. Regardless, Enya loved his wife faithfully.
Melka did not make a great deal of money selling her flowers, and so Enya decided to perform mission after mission to help secure a good amount of money in his early years, in the hopes that he'd be able to work less once Hazumi came in to the world. Melka was lonely, but she knew that Enya was only working so hard so that they could spend their time together later. Hazumi was born with a happy father present, one ready to raise his son well.
Hazumi continued his work for the village, but also made sure to take the time to train his son. As the years came, he found that Hazumi had a specialty with fire and ninjutsu in general. The boy was smaller, and didn't seem to take well to too much physical endeavors. It caused Melka to be concerned, but Enya assured her that their son would grow in to the work of a shinobi or at least be trained and placed in the right team upon leaving the academy. Despite his physical weakness, Enya was right. Hazumi went on to graduate from the academy, and now looks forward to beginning his career as a shinobi.
