Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Koyama's face is very masculine, with a strong, angular jaw and a few different scars on his face. His eyes are a unique, dark red, a side effect of his abnormal clan genes. His hair is long and black in color, falling to his shoulders with the exception of his cut bangs.
  • Body: Koyama is a mountain of a man, standing at a whopping 8 foot 2 inches and weighing 500 pounds of pure muscle. His body is rippled with strength and covered in scars, all of which he takes great pride in. Despite the usual cold of Rock Country, Koyama's skin is moderately tan.
  • Notable Features: Being an Akari, Koyama has various notable features, the most obvious of which is his immense size. On top of that, his eye color is abnormal, and goes with the abnormal color of the Phasmashiin he was born with. He has three scars on his face and various other scars of different sizes along his body.
Clothing/Accessories: Koyama wears long brown pants with a simple belt to hold them up. Attached to this belt is his ninja pouch and shuriken holsters, and attached to his right leg is a kunai holster. While he does wear a shirt on occasion when necessary, most of the time he refuses to wear a shirt, opting instead to wear a cloak he made out of a skinned bear while out in the cold of Rock Country.

Personality: Koyama is a Iwagakure loyalist to the highest degree. There is only one thing the boy respects; power. Those without it are worth nothing in his eyes, and those with it are his greatest comrades. He is fiercely loyal to his comrades, willing to put everything on the line to protect them and fight for them, but if they cannot fend for themselves he would rather let them die. Most would consider this cruel, but in Koyama's eyes the weak and pitiful who cannot defend themselves have no place in the village hidden by rocks. Only the strong will survive to continue their service to the village.

When on missions Koyama refuses to let anything at all get in the way of him and mission success, even his own comrades. Should anything at all pose a threat to mission success, he will confront it with his full attention and power until the problem has been solved. As an Akari, he also holds a certain greed to him in relation to the rest of his clan, a desire to consume his fellow clanmates to become the most powerful of the Akari so that he might better fight for his village. Whenever possible, Koyama will take missions to hunt down or defeat other Akari, and when talking to another Akari of his strength level he will almost always issue a challenge to the clan member. Such is the way of the Akari clan, and it is a mentality that Koyama has absorbed like a sponge.

Outside of the combat mentality, Koyama can be a rather agreeable guy when he's approached in the right way by the right person. He's very capable of having friends, and those who he considers friends will have one of the strongest in Iwa at their side. The quickest way to earn the man's respect is to kick his ass or overpower him, a feat that only the strongest of Iwa have managed to do. He hopes to claim the title of Akari leader through his might, and lead his clan to further glory. Overall, Koyama can be seen as a hard headed, merciless and uncaring darwinist on the outside, but those who he calls friend will see a completely different person who values their comradery and will selflessly assist them in whatever way he can.

Combat Mentality: Koyama is absolutely ruthless in a fight, resorting to using his various Shiin for offensive and defensive purposes. He relies mostly on his Phasmashiin to do damage, while his Lacrishiin and Eroshiin are mainly for defense and utility. He is also capable of performing decently powerful ninjutsu techniques, though he reserves these for tougher opponents or situations in which melee combat may not be preferred.

Shiin:
The main bloodline of the Akari clan is their shiin. While the size, shape, and abilities of the shiin depends on which chakra the organ is connected to. The shiin, while manifesting itself, is a constant within them. Unlike other similar clans, the shiin is the only thing that alters itself, leaving the Akari's body largely in tact. However, because of this, the shiin is just another part of the body, just as someone's arm or leg.

Koyama's phasmashiin emerges from his right arm, where the elbow meets the forearm. It extends out and raises itself up about 2 inches from his arm, allowing his arm to maintain freedom of movement without worrying about accidentally brushing against the shiin while performing hand seals. After extending out of the arm, it widens out to a meter in width at it's base which tapers into a point about half way down the length of the shiin, and extends out to 2 meters in length. The shiin itself appears to be a skeletal looking double edged blade, with serrated edges and a finely sharpened point. It is red in color, a rare abnormality within the Akari clan.
LacrishiinShow
Koyama's Lacrishiin emerges from his throat and grows over his entire body, with the exception of his head and hands. The armor leaves his hands open for freedom of movement for hand seals and such, while the head is left unprotected for ease of movement and a greater ability to perceive his surroundings. The Lacrishiin is blue in color.
EroshiinShow
Koyama's Eroshiin emerges from his shoulder blades, growing out to a 2 meter wingspan. The Eroshiin takes the shape of long wings, with spines holding together what appears to be a gelatinous membrane that allows grants the wings their ability to fly. The Eroshiin is red in color.
Second PhasmashiinShow
Acquired from a would-be assassin that tried to kill his Ward Akari, Ume, this shiin manifests from his left forearm as a large yellow disc-shaped shield. The full diameter of the shield is 1 meter, and all along the face of the shield are various barbed spikes that deal damage when used for bashing. Along the edge the disc is bladed in a sort of serrated buzzsaw fashion, enabling one to swing the disc and slash into people with it's edge. Lastly, the shiin can be commanded to spin via ninjutsu, causing the disc to turn into a literal buzzsaw. It's position on his forearm allows him to perform hand seals uninhibited.

Fuuton has a natural cutting property to it, that exists in all jutsu unless otherwise stated. This gives fuuton a unique opportunity to strike with additional power, and to act as a offensive defense. Regardless of their purpose fuuton jutsu passively cut with no distinct pattern at 1/3rd the strength of the technique rounded down unless otherwise stated. This means if someone punched a 19 strength fuuton wall, they would get cuts on their hand applied with 6 strength. This also means that fuuton jutsu specifically designated to cut things can create devastating wound by essentially striking twice.
Katon:
Katon Affinity
A character with this concentration is able to utilize Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Katon affinity. Katon has a passive ignition effect.

Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own.

Additionally, the strength of burns on organic material from katon jutsu is determined by the ninjutsu stat requirement.

After channeling chakra into one of their fists, the user will then attempt to strike their target and if successful, they will release additional concussive force in the form of an outward explosion at D-Rank force from their fist. If the user does not strike a target within 3 posts the jutsu dissipates.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
An advanced form of the Transformation Technique, after performing the correct hand seals and holding the final one temporarily, the user will coat and mold chakra around their body into the shape and form of something or someone which is no more than twice their size at a speed of 4. This technique's true advantage is that the disguise is given physical substance. This means, for example, if they transform into something with claws, they will have claws that can physically be used. For the disguises 5 post duration, if it is damaged by a hit of 16 or more strength, the disguise "poofs" from existence. This includes collateral damage caused by striking an opponent that may occur to the disguise.

*[Ninjutsu • Shadow Clone Technique]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user proceeds to create a number of clones of themselves (maximum is equal to 1/3rd the users stamina). Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies of the user in both appearance and substance. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but they will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original and any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. Given that the clones are an exact replica of the user, they share the same stats except for stamina, which is determined by the number of clones presently in effect.

[Ninjutsu • Blasting Orbs]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
Koyama performs a series of hand seals, gathering chakra in the palms of his hands to form two separate orbs of unstable chakra. These orbs can be thrown like throwing weapons and after reaching a max distance of 30 meters, making contact with something, or being activated by the Kai technique, each orb will explode with B rank strength. They last for 4 posts, or until expended.

Channeling chakra to their shiin, they cause it to inflate, fully forming into its full glory. The phasmashiin takes the shape of a scaled and skeletal weapon over one of the Akari's limbs. The phasmashiin have a strength equal to Akari's, but a stamina equal to the clan member's stamina+3, while causing the limb that they are on to move at 3 speed less.

Type: Eroshiin
Channeling chakra to their shiin, they cause it to inflate, fully forming into its full glory. Taking the form of energy-like jelly small wings, they are incapable of flight on their own, however are very aerodynamic, allowing for the user to slowly float down, based on their prerequisite taijutsu. The Eroshiin has a strength and stamina equal to 3/4ths the user's strength and stamina.

~Basic Formation: Lacrishiin
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Type: Lacrishiin
Channeling chakra to their shiin, they cause it to inflate, fully forming into its full glory. Taking the form of an almost opaque armor with an appearance of glass, the lacrishiin almost completely covers the user's body. As a pseudoarmor, the lacrishin has no inherent strength, but has a stamina equal to the Akari's stamina+3, while causing the Akari to move at 3 less speed.

A partially automatic technique once learned, but can be stopped if need-be, an Akari is able to cause the manifested form of their shiin to deflate at command or whenever they go unconscious. While the uses of this aren't directly obvious, it does allow them to hide the fact that they do in fact have a shiin.

Channeling a bit more chakra throughout himself, Koyama has learned how to manifest multiple shiin at the same time. Using this he can activate as many as 3 Shiin at the same time, each of them having their own strengths and drawbacks as determined by their respective ~Basic Formation Jutsu.

~Strengthen the Armor

Type: Lacrishiin
By doing the needed hand seals, the user is able to channel chakra directly into their shiin. This strengthens the armor, giving it an extra durability of 5. However, while doing so, they are unable to use any ninjutsu or genjutsu while this is in effect. This lasts as long as they continue to channel chakra into their shiin.

After performing the needed hand seals, Koyama concentrates Katon chakra into one of his hands, creating a tiny flame the tip of his finger. He will then proceed to draw this finger on an minor wound, no longer than 6 inches and no wider than 1/2 inch. After a brief amount of time and a great deal of pain, the wound will be cauterized and closed as well as slightly burnt.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will exhale a small jet of flame directly in front of them. The ball lights up the surrounding area in a 5 meter radius and has a durability of 5. Unless destroyed, it will stay locked in it's location for 5 posts before fading.

D-Rank Ninjutsu
A variation of the Torch technique, Koyama performs a series of hand seals and exhales a small jet of flame from his mouth. This flame condenses into a ball of flame that hovers above his head, lighting up a 5 meter area in all directions for 5 posts before fading away. The ball of flame will follow his around, allowing him to scout out dark areas.

Prerequisite: 11 Ninjutsu
Koyama will perform a series of handseals before channeling a good amount of katon chakra into one of his hands. Moments later, a small sphere of flame will form in his open hand. The sphere is made of dense flames, but since it is created by Koyama he alone is safe from the burning of the technique's flames. Anytime within the next two posts, Koyama can throw this sphere of flame like a throwing weapon. Upon doing so the ball will expand into a 3 meter orb of fire, impacting with force equal to his strength.

By channeling katon chakra into their body, the user will release a short, uncontrolled burst of flame outward from their body that travels just a few centimeters and lasts hardly a second. The short-lived burst of flame pushes outward with a strength of 10.

B-Rank Ninjutsu
Koyama will begin by performing a string of hand seals before stomping his foot on the ground, releasing a hefty amount of Katon chakra into the earth beneath him. Then, a 8x8x8 meter wave of fire will begin to make it's way in a direction designated by Koyama until it comes into contact with it's target or hits it's maximum range of 40 meters, impacting with 25 strength. The wave moves with a speed of 15. The wave will then remain in place for 4 posts, causing burning pain every post to anyone within the wave.

Koyama will attempt to grab his opponent by a part of their clothes or body, usually catching hold of a limb before cementing his grip on their head and feet. Then, Koyama will lift his target high above his head and use all of his strength to bring them crashing down on his knee, resulting in a powerful back breaking grapple that can easily shatter the spine of someone with less strength than him.

Koyama can perform this technique whenever he grabs hold of an enemy's limb, usually their legs. Though rather simple in appearance the effects of this technique are quite brutal, as Koyama will lift his target into the air by their limb with a single hand before slamming them into any hard surface he can find, usually the ground over and over again. This technique can cause an incredible amount of damage and only gets worse with each impact, but someone with a higher strength than Koyama can overpower him and work their way out.

Type: Melashiin, Temershiin, Phasmashiin, Eroshiin, and Lacrishiin.
Due to training with their shiin, Akari members are much more at balance than those without a shiin. This holds especially true for those with temershiin, as the tail-like protrusion provides a counterbalance. This also allows for clan members to use their shiin as legs for balance, if able.

~Slow Fall
D-Ranked Discipline Taijutsu
Type: Eroshiin
While not quite the same, by opening their shiin to the fullest, an Akari is able to slow their fall without fear of falling, even if thrust downward. While unable to gain height, even with gusts of wind, this protects an Akari from damage caused by falling, given they have enough space to fall.

D Rank Taijutsu
Type: Eroshiin
Koyama starts this grapple by getting a hold of an opponents head or shoulders, then stuffing their head between his knees. Next he reaches for their hips and turns them upside down while holding them rigid, then ends the technique by flying up high with his Eroshiin and slamming the enemy down on their heads in an attempt to shatter their skull with his strength and weight. An opponent with more strength than Koyama can force themselves out of the grapple before the pile driver happens.

D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Type: Phasmashiin
Koyama uses the flat, scaly side of his Phasmashiin as a shield, blocking everything from weaponry to hand to hand blows and even ninjutsu with relative ease. This does however put his Phasmashiin at risk of being broken if used too liberally.

C-Ranked Discipline Taijutsu
Type: Eroshiin
Requirements: ~Slow Fall
A much more advanced version of ~Slow Fall, this technique allows the user to effectively glide, as long as their shiin is out. While they still can't gain height through this technique, they are able to slow their descent to ridiculous levels, and, with enough control (Taijutsu stat of 19), they are able to descend at a 80 degree angle.

Type: Phasmashiin
Koyama swings his Phasmashiin blade into the ground and then slashes sideways creating a fairly deep deep crater, around five inches, in the ground in front of him. This kicks up a splash of rocks and dust to blind and disorient foes, making an opening for Koyama to lunge into his foe with an attempt to knock them over or slash at their legs.

Type: Phasmashiin
Bringing their blade down and pointing the tip towards their enemy, the user will thrust the length of their blade into his opponent in an attempt to jam their sword through the opponent's torso. To finish the technique the user will lift their target off of their feet by lifting the blade before throwing them as far as they can, swinging the blade to fling them off the tip.

C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Type: Phasmashiin
Koyama will swing around his Phasmashiin in a seemingly wild fashion without truly aiming to connect with a target, at least not with any real accuracy. While it seems to be totally uncalculated to the untrained eye, Koyama is in fact attacking in such a way to protect themselves from other attacks while making a steady approach. By swinging his Phasmashiin in large circles around his body, he creates a whirlwind of strikes that not only serve to bat away blows of lesser strength, but can easily tear apart an opponent on a direct hit.

C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Type: Phasmashiin, Eroshiin
Using the power of flight granted by his Eroshiin, Koyama will take to the skies and swoop down on his opponents with his Phasmashiin, tearing them apart with a powerful slash before taking back to the skies again. This hit and run style assault makes it difficult to retaliate against him, and can be maintained as long as needed.

~Glide
B-Ranked Maneuver Taijutsu
Type: Eroshiin
Requirements: ~Feather Fall
Effectively the same as the prior technique, this allows the Akari to glide in all measure of the word. They are able to 'ride' the wind, gaining height through the use of the natural wind or [Fuuton] techniques.

B-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Type: Phasmashiin
Requirements: 25 strength
Being born with an incredibly large and heavy Phasmashiin, Koyama has trained himself in body and in mind to be virtually unencumbered by the immense size of the weaponized organ. This allows him to swing the bladed Shiin as easily and accurately as a Ninjato, allowing him to attack and defend himself with incredible speed.

Stretching their shiin to their fullest, the Akari is able to fly just as well as any bird would be able to, up to a maximum of 20 meters. Other than the height restriction, the user is able to travel equal to their speed, treating it just as if they were moving on land.

From the day Koyama was born, even as an infant, it was easy to see the boy would be a powerful force for the village of Iwagakure. Born at 10 pounds 5 ounces and 24 inches in length, Koyama was so large that his mother had to be cut open to get the boy out. Nevertheless, with the right iijutsu his mother survived the birth, and Koyama was brought into the world. As he grew it became more and more evident that he was going to be incredibly huge, at the age of 5 he towered over most other children at a whopping 4 foot 7 inches and 55 pounds, even beginning to show hints of muscle growth at his young age. It was clear that the boy was meant for service to Iwagakure, and as with all Akari the boy was raised to become a living embodiment of strength and power. Once he was ripe for the academy at the age of 8, He entered without question, already steeled and determined to become a shinobi to make him, his clan and his village proud.

His academy years were actually rather rough, as the boy was raised mostly to use his brawn, not his brains. While strength alone would get him through some of the academy, he had to quickly adapt to using his brain more in order to succeed at the written exams and ninjutsu training. As it happened, his skill in ninjutsu rivaled his strength, no doubt due to his clan's inherent disposition towards chakra control and his desire to awaken his birth Shiin. He also discovered his affinity for Katon and Fuuton as well, though he was still anxious to unlock his very first shiin. Luckily, about 3 months before the end of his academy days, his Phasmashiin emerged in all of it's glory, and it's odd color immediately caught the eyes of other Akari. While he graduated the academy with flying colors, his real challenges were only just beginning...

While most Phasmashiin-wielding Akari weren't looked at too much for their gifts, Koyama's unique colored organ was seen as a delicacy to the clan. However, being that Koyama was 6'2 at the age of 13 and rippled with muscle, it was rare that one of his clanmates actually tried to challenge him. It wasn't until his time to rank up to chuunin that the boy got to experience first hand what the Akari's traditional arena bouts were like... and he loved it. The thrill of a life or death battle to weed out the weak so that the strong could get stronger was something the boy immediately clung to, and when it was his turn to fight, he wasted no time and showed no mercy. His opponent, while gifted with the slightly rarer Lacrishiin, was a fool and a coward who chose to barrage Koyama with ninjutsu instead of fight him like a man. Koyama's huge Shiin pierced the weakling's Lacrishiin with a single stab, tearing through his chest and executing him in an instant. And as he feasted on the man's throat, devouring the Lacrishiin for himself, the clan cheered and whispered of how powerful this young Akari would become...

It was clear as the boy became a chuunin that his place was on the battlefield. He was not a strategist, nor was he especially clever, but he was a savage who thrived on carnage. So it was no surprise that the village exclusively dispatched him on missions that played to his strengths; shows of force and combat. Dealing with bandits and chakra enhanced wildlife and bodyguard duty were common missions for him, but as his strengths grew and his power grew, he began to become greedier in relation to his clan... He wanted more Shiin. As such, he began to look into rogue Akari ninja, looking for one that had a powerful shiin he wanted to acquire. The one he settled on was known for having a weak Phasmashiin and a weak Melashiin, but the Eroshiin he was born with was known to be quite powerful... it would be Koyama's before the month's end.

He set out to hunt the Akari known as Tetsuo, and chased the man's trail through multiple minor countries for over two weeks. When he finally cornered him, the ensuing battle put both the men to their limits. At the end of the confrontation though, Koyama had shattered all three of the man's shiin and tore off his legs with his bare hands, leaving him at his mercy. As a show of pure, unbridled carnage, Koyama ate the man's Eroshiin while he was still alive, the screams of his pain only serving to fuel his rage. Only after fully devouring the Eroshiin did he end the man's misery with a stomp to his skull. When he returned to Iwa and participated in another Arena fight to cement his rise to Special Jounin, he encountered what he felt to be one of the weakest Akari he had ever met. He was genuinely surprised the bastard even made it to this point, his Melashiin and Temershiin was absolutely pathetic. Koyama eviscerated the poor bastard without breaking a sweat, but when the time came to devour his shiin, Koyama refused.

"I will not dignify this pathetic bastard's blood by carrying on his frail Shiin. They will die with him!" He bellowed out before crushing the bastard's skull. He wanted more shiin to be sure, but he would only take the best of the best. The clan only revered his power more after that day, still waiting for the moment he slipped up so that he might be devoured instead. In Koyama's eyes though, that would never happen. He was eight feet of pure, solid power; none of his clanmates would best him.
