Toryu StyleShow
Toryu Kenjutsu:
Toryu Kenjutsu is a sword style originating from the Land of Pebbles that focuses on not just performing kenjutsu but also weaving close quarters style taijutsu into the bladework. Toryu's specialty is not only learning to capably slash a sword with one hand but also learning to use the hands, joints, legs and even the head to make frighteningly dangerous close quarters fighters. An inelegant style, it is commonly associated with the more 'rough' samurai but in truth it's reliance on two opposing impulses and control of the body makes it one of the more difficult Kenjutsu styles to learn. While usable with most blades, experienced fighters often prefer wakizashi, ninjato and even tanto daggers instead of katana for increased mobility.
  • Requires: [Upper Body], [Sword] Concentrations
D-Rank Toryu Kenjutsu

*[Toryu • Close Quarters]
D- Ranked Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite: 5 Taijutsu
The signature stance of the style, Close Quarters teaches users of this style how to rapidly change the angle, position and even grip of their weapon without moving their hand from it's signature position at the user's waist for maximum versatility. Users of this style often assume a one foot forward, one back, slightly swayed stance to free up movement as well at the expense of leaving their center open.

*[Toryu • Lunging Feint]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 5 Speed
A basic technique of the style wherein the user moves in for a basic lunge-thrust with their weapon, only to turn in mid thrust and attempt to sweep their leg under the opponent's own. This tends to be useful as a basic feint and can usually knock down those with less strength than the user who get caught by it.

*[Toryu • Guard Break]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 5 Strength
After rushing in on a foe and initiating an attack the user waits for the opponent to guard, either with arm or weapon, before quickly lashing out with their hand or pommel of their blade and attempting to smash the guarding hand or arm aside with a wrist smash. The pain as well as damage can interrupt the guard of opponents, leaving them wide open for the initial attack to hit.

*[Toryu • Limb Lock]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: *[Toryu • Close Quarters] , 5 Taijutsu
A dangerous close quarters 'option closer', the Toryu user will sweep in close and try to slam their foot down on an opponent's as well as quickly sweep their arm around the opponent's to lock their elbow with the user's own. This technique is usually utilized for setting up blows or blocking off the weapons of dual-wielding foes and it forces the opponent to break out of the move before counter-attacking.

*[Toryu • Counter Kick]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 5 Taijutsu, 5 Strength
The user of this technique will attempt to block the blow of his opponent with his blade, relying heavily on the durability of their weapon and their own strength to resist the strength of the opponent's attack. Should they be successful, the user will follow up with a swift kick to the target's chest or stomach to push them away and stun them, then follow up with a quick stab to the chest or stomach.

C-Rank Toryu Kenjutsu

*[Toryu • Leg Hook Grapple]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 15 Taijutsu, 10 Speed
A potent close quarters move that is performed by rushing at a foe and attempting to jump onto the opponent's shoulders. Then, assuming they land, the user shifts their weight in an attempt to unbalance the victim. If performed correctly on an opponent with 10 or less strength who cannot compensate for the weight and momentum it causes them to tip back or go off balance, setting up for a secondary slash or stab at their now exposed head or torso.

*[Toryu • Subversion Grappling]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 15 Taijutsu
One of the more utilized techniques in the arsenal of the style, it involves the shifting of offense and defense, specifically utilizing the sword as a defensive weapon and the hand as the main weapon; by blocking far off the center of the clash (to the side, above, below), the user opens up an opposing swordsman or weapon specialist to punches, quick closes and even more complicated maneuvers simply by forcing their sword back for a moment. The downside of course is it lessens the overall effectiveness of the sword.

*[Toryu • Sweep Cutter]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 15 Taijutsu
During close quarters or after engaging a foe via a rush, the user quickly forces themselves back as they divert body weight downwards typically causing a quick and controllable slide under the opponent's field of control, usually between the legs or to the side. During this slide the user attempts slashes, stabs or even hooks or drags the opponent down with them to open up for more techniques or just deal considerable damage.

*[Toryu • Disregard of Fear]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 15 Instinct
Many of the Toryu techniques would put the user in incredibly daring positions where a single mistake could instantly spell disaster for the swordsman. As a result, Toryu practitioners must train themselves constantly to avoid letting their fears distract them from their task. A user with this technique has learned to shut out fear in the heat of combat, allowing them to perform their death defying attacks without the risk of failure due to fear responses.

*[Toryu • Staggering Knee Strike]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 15 Taijutsu, 15 Strength
The user quickly dashes into an opponent's range while delivering a quick knee strike to the target's solar plexus in an attempt to stagger the opponent. The aim is to get the target to lean forward while holding their gut, opening up the many vulnerable areas of the back, neck and skull to various possible finishing moves.

Ochiba StyleShow
Ochiba Style:
Ochiba
Ochiba is a weapon style originating from the fire country, one of the few weapon styles developed by Shinobi and not Samurai. Ochiba translate as “Dead Leaf” As it is a weapon style that focuses on the use of a Kunai which are similar in appearance to a leaf. The kunai is held in a reversed manner, the handle comes up by the thumb and the blade comes down by the bottom of the hand. This allows for short, yet quick strikes and parries. Though this style is developed to use a kunai it can be transposed to other short weapons such as ninjato & tanto, though not all techniques will be available.
Requires: Deft Hands, Sword Weapons & Upper Body
D-Rank Ochiba Taijutsu

*Ochiba • Single Finger Draw
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Utilizing this Maneuver, the user is able to quickly draw a kunai from its holster. This is done by placing their finger through the lip of the holder and into the ring of the pommel, flicking it up and out quickly, having the kunai in the user’s hand within an instant.

*Ochiba • Oaken Defense
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 10 Speed
A technique that specializes in fighting Samurai and equalizing the battle field. The user will wait for their target to attack, and will quickly counter this by gliding the blade of their kunai onto the opponent's blade. The user will quickly move in towards their opponent while also sliding their kunai closer and closer to the opponent's hilt. This will force the angle of their blade to be raised and leaves the opponent wide open for attack.

*Ochiba • Dance Detour
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 10 Speed
A technique that relies highly on speed, much like a floating leaf being swept away by the wind, the user will attempt to slap away any incoming melee strikes or projectiles with their kunai. The user’s the average of the user's speed and strength needs to be higher than the strength the projectile was thrown at, using the momentum of their own speed to deflect the strike.

*Ochiba • Extending Branch
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 10 Taijutsu
Using extremely quick thinking, if the user attempts to land a hit but their kunai is just short of hitting their target, they can very quickly spin the kunai on their finger, effectively extending its reach by a few inches.

*Ochiba • Round and Round
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The user will start by performing an extremely quick and powerful slash aimed at the target, and then continuing with that movement, they will spin themselves around and follow up with a powerful roundhouse kick.

C-Rank Ochiba Taijtusu

*Ochiba • Somersault Assault
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The user awaits for an attack by the enemy, baiting them into aiming for their head. When the opponent strikes they will take a step back in order to dodge, crouch down, and run at the target. If they successfully get to their target, the user will then attempt to land a few quick slashes with their kunai, do a backbend, and flip their legs back to get away from the opponent. While doing this, they will also try to slam their feet into the opponent’s jaw.

*Ochiba • Guerilla Warfare
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
The user has become a master at movement and energy expenditure being able to make the best of quick movements while also being able to maintain awareness and escape from a sticky situation. They utilize the utmost of their speed to make every movement count, and can create quick formulated movements that are efficient.

*Ochiba • Leaf Duster
C-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
The user will place their middle finger through the pommel of the kunai, gripping it so the blade hangs out of the side of the palm, using the weapon as a knuckleduster. The user will keep their hands up to protect the face in this stance as they prepare for maneuvers mostly hand to hand based, but blades at the ready should they need them. Any physical punches used with this technique will add blunt damage.

*Ochiba • Blinding Leaf
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 15 Speed
Utilizing their kunai as a throwing weapon, the user sprints at their opponent and when they are less than a meter away, whilst sprinting, they will toss their kunai directly at their target’s face. If the attack is done correctly, it will simultaneously blind the target by blocking the majority of their vision and distract them. Also, it creates the appearance that the user is actually thrusting with the kunai instead of releasing it, allowing them the opportunity to strike.

*Ochiba • Spare Ribs
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
A simple, yet effective strike. Often used in correlation with Ochiba • Oaken Defense, however not required. The user simply needs to be up close, they will swing their kunai in a horizontal motion towards their opponent's rib cage, aiming for the cavities between the ribs and damaging any organ behind it. The user will then turn the kunai, breaking the rib if their strength is 5 higher than the opponents and even has a chance of separating it entirely from the rib cage.

Flawless Aim StyleShow
Flawless Aim Style:
This style of combat is favored by specialists preferring to use projectiles, often serving as a staple for taijutsu-based projectile users. Focusing on the synergy between their hands and senses they strive to make their reach as far as possible with flawless aim.
Requires [Projectile Weaponry] and [Upper Body] concentrations
D-Rank Flawless Aim Technique

*[Flawless Aim Style • Sentinel Stance]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
A stable and steady stance practiced by nearly all wishing to use projectiles. At this stage they are planted and focusing on their arms and shoulders, moving in smooth motions to mitigate unnecessary movements that may ruin their aim.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Multi-shot]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner is able to knock multiple arrows upon a single shot, loosing all of them simultaneously. Their accuracy suffers from this, taking a cumulative -2 Strength for each additional shot.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Arcing Shot]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner is able to shoot in arcs up and over most obstacles, being able to accurately hit a target that is behind obstructions as if they were in the open. Granted, they must know of their target’s location or have another means of detecting them.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Tracking]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
This allows the user to hit a moving target so long as it is moving in a way predictable to the user. They must still take into account travel time, and sudden changes in path will still affect the outcome.

*[Flawless Aim Style • Rapid Shot]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The user will hold multiple projectiles in their hands to reduce the amount of time needed between each shot. When required they can quickly and fluidly draw more projectiles and keep up a steady stream of attacks. However, while utilizing this Stance the users feet must be planted, limiting the range of their assault, and their ability to be mobile while using it.

Chapter One: Upbringing

Growing up Kagutsuchi was very involved in his family's business. His father was a blacksmith and his mother was a seamstress. Together they made great armor, weapons, ceremonial clothing, and even combat based clothing. Kagutsuchi adopted both of their skills in craftsmanship. He never knew his father or his mothers past, he was always told that they met in a small village and fell in love. Their lives were pretty simple and Kagutsuchi enjoyed every second of it. During traveling sales days, Kagutsuchi's father would take him to many different lands. During their travels Kagutsuchi's father would teach him about combat, fighting strategies, and tell old tales of when he was a warrior.

Chapter Two: Family Trip Gone Wrong

During Kagutsuchi's travels with his father, he would always be in awe in how his father would rant about changing the ninja world. He would tell Kagutsuchi that sometimes people had to put their differences aside to fight for a cause. He told Kagutsuchi that all of the ninja villages were perfect examples of that since different houses and families joined together to create a better future.

One day Kagutsuchi and both of his parents had a big meeting with a large company that was interested in their products. This was their chance to make a lot of money. They had a carriage and two horses pulling it. They all sat on top of the carriage and it contained a lot of their best metal works and clothing that they could make. As they were making the 4 day drip, on day 2 Kagutsuchi's life changed forever. During their trip they were confronted by bandits. Without hesitation, they killed his mother and held a knife to Kagutsuchi. The father offered all of their hard earning in the wagon, but they wanted to bring him back to a place called Kirigakure to get money for turning him in. Within seconds, the father weaved a few hand signs and created a mist in the area. He was able to apprehend some of the bandits and free Kagutsuchi. However, in the mix Kagutsuchi's father got hit in the back with a blade and fell to the ground. Kagutsuchi saw his mother dead and his father dying. In the mist he held his father as the bandits knew they got him, but couldn't find anything. All of a sudden Kagutsuchi felt a key slip in his hand, his father told him to go back to their home and go into the basement. Behind their bookshelf was a secret compartment and a keyhole. Everything would be explained there. Kagutsuchi hid the key and ripped the blade from his father's back. He used their voices to lead himself to the two bandits left. When the mist cleared, he struck them from behind and killed them. At that point the horses ran off with the wagon which lead to Kagutsuchi having to return home by foot.

Chapter Three: His Hertiage, His Destiny

It took a long time for Kagutsuchi to get home. He luckily was taught survival skills from his father and was able to return without much trouble. Kagutsuchi was an emotional mess when he got home. He saw family photos, their messy bedroom, and just about everything in general reminded him of his parents. How could you forget your parents that were just killed? He remembered his fathers words as he walked down to the basement, but he also remembered the word "Kirigakure" that the bandits used. With hatred and confusion in his heart, he moved the bookcase to the side and placed the key in the key hole. He was able to open a whole hidden room. Inside was a military based room. It looked like there were a few cases of custom made Kunai and Shuriken along with dual swords and a custom made ninja jacket. What was even weirder is that he found a large table and on that table was an open map that had a circle and coordinated on a place in the Dragon Country. Kagutsuchi was very familiar with the Dragon Country, but never ventured to the specific area that was circled. He looked to the right and found two headbands hanging up. One was clearly custom made by his father and his mother, but the other one had 4 marks (Kiri Symbol) on it and had one single cross through it horizontally.

Chapter Three: Time to Learn

Kagutsuchi has taken everything that was in his father's secret room and now is traveling to learn about chakra. He knows someone out there must know and it is only a matter of time before he meets someone. He has taken on missions that have been protecting smaller villages. Soon he will create his own ninja village and change the course of smaller nations.
