Naegi Chin
[The Creeping Vine]

Physical Features:
- Face/head: A mass of vegetative matter that has grown and compressed in turn to the shape of a human head, presenting a spiral pattern across the entity that is most prominent on the face.
- Body: Like the face, Chin's humanoid 'plant body' consists of a mass of thorny vines dark purple in hue. At the end of each vine is a ten petal, crimson color carnivorous bloom that is oval in shape. The backside of the bloom appears normal with the under side revealing get a long tooth filled 'mouth' whole a small 'head' with a smaller tooth filled mouth can be found extending off the to of the bloom (see pictures). In this form the blooms are only about six inches in length with three twisted vines makes up each extremity. While the remaining portion ofvines and plant roots swirl into a spiral pattern which is presented across the entity of the body, causing the young man's body to look like that of a Jishu clone.
- Notable Features: His entire body in humanoid form is created from a spiraling mess of vines, that's pretty notable if he exposes it. Also through his vine created body can be found a series of crimson color 'flowers'.

Personality:
- General: Before the situation occurred, the young man could have been considered a bit naïve to the world around him, but he has been woken up now. Chin is not the leader type and instead a person whom makes a good follower being able to assist and help out as well as follow directions to the letter not wishing to be a leader doesn't mean the former shinobi isn't intelligent. Despite his current circumstances he is the kind of person who would still stop to help another but at the same time don't expect him to go completely out of his way to help a stranger, especially if it risks him exposing himself for who he has become to the outside world. Being raised within Suna he doesn't realize that others in the world care far less about such things then his home village did as some even applaud those who manage to do so as it can be seen as increase in power or strength for them. The young man has always gravitated to strong individuals with whom he can add in his skill set to aid them in their missions as he has always had the mentality of a support character, being there to help aid others into accomplishing the main mission through him helping with a small piece of things.
- Hopes/Dreams: Hopes to find a place were he is accepted for what he has become and that he has some sort of safe haven to call home. Also one day he hopes to be able to free his father from imprisonment from his former village.
- Fears: Being caught by hunter-nin from his home village.
- Combat Mentality: Chin prefers to remain out of the line of combat, watching from a distance but if forced into combat he will utilize his Flourish Style Ninjutsu and vine body to combat foes at mid-to-far ranges while always looking for an opportunity to break contact and escape.

Elemental specialist are able to devote a total of 10 concentrations to elemental concentrations, unlike most people who are capped at 8. The user is not able to access any specializations that are marked for Ninjutsu Specialist, but instead, can now pick up concentrations marked for Elemental Specialists. Additionally, their two additional concentrations MUST be used for elements. They cannot use them for ninpou styles. However, they are only able to devote a max of 5 concentrations to Taijutsu, and a max of 5 concentrations to Genjutsu.
As a Ninjutsu Specialist, [Chin] is able to utilize Ninjutsu concentrations reserved for specialists, but cannot utilize non-elemental ninjutsu specializations. Additionally they are able to enter the God Tier [45+] on select stats, and meaning as a specialist they can select stats to break into the God tier. These stats can only be [Instinct], [Strength], [Control], and [Stamina].

~[Flourish Style: Cardoon Plant]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After forming the necessary one handed seals while holding onto a Jishu seed or channeling chakra while holding the seed, the Naegi will throw it at an opponent as it activates. Once activated the seed will peel along it's length, revealing vegetative matter that quickly grows, expanding into the shape of the Cardoon plant's artichoke globe. This globe is roughly 5 inches in diameter and has 3 inch long spines growing off of it. These spines pierce like senbon and because it's spiked all around, it makes removal a little more difficult without a delicate touch. After about 5 posts, the Cardoon globe will wither and it's spines will fall off.

After forming the necessary hand seals, the Naegi will focus chakra into a Jishu seed and activate it. Upon being planted, this seed will spend a solid month growing into a large bush that is capable of producing the special seeds the Naegi use. Should an advanced growth technique be used, all the seeds produced by the plant will be dead seeds that are incapable of growing into plant life. Should it be allowed to grow normally, the plant can be harvested for it's seeds that are stockpiled by the Naegi. The growth process of this plant must be monitored as it requires specially controlled conditions to grow.

After forming the necessary hand seals or channeling chakra, the Naegi will focus Suiton into a dead seed and force it to increase in size as it absorbs the moisture. This technique can make a dead seed grow to be nearly 1m in diameter and because of the moisture it has absorbed, it will weigh nearly 50 lbs. This swollen seed can be throw like a projectile or used in other means.

After forming the necessary hand seals, the Naegi will focus chakra into their eyes. Once this is done, their irises seem to glow from the excess chakra, making it look like small ethereal flames are smoldering from their eyes. At this level of strength, the Naegi are able to determine the health of most flora they can see. This will allow them to see if the organism is damaged, what it needs in regards to nutrients, or even what kind of care it may require. This technique is primarily used by the Naegi to determine what crops are ready for harvesting, although other applications still exist for it. In regards to length, this doujutsu will last for a number of posts dependent on the Naegi's Stamina.

After performing the necessary hand seals or channeling chakra, the Naegi will focus chakra into their mouth and into a seed within 1m of their person. The seed will be summoned into their mouth, where they can proceed to spit it out at a Speed equal to half the Naegi's Strength and impacts with same force it was spit . The seed itself will travel up a to a distance equal to their Strength in meters.

After performing the necessary hand seals or channeling chakra, the Naegi will focus chakra into a Jishu seed and activate it. Upon being planted, the seed will grow into an Aloe Vera plant that can be picked for use in healing burns. By utilizing their Iijutsu knowledge when focusing chakra into the seed, they are able to enhance the soothing properties of the plant to make it heal up to 2nd degree burns within 2 posts of being applied as it soothes the pain and slowly heals the burn. After being created, this plant will remain on hand for a total of 5 posts.

After performing the necessary hand seals or channeling chakra, the Naegi will focus chakra into a Jishu seed and activate it. Upon being planted, the seed will grow rapidly with a Speed of 10 into a sprawling shrub like plant. This plant can grow over obstacles, attempt to grow over people, or even grow straight up like a shrub wall. The reasoning for this is not defensive but as a trap. The plant's leaves all hide the real danger beneath as the plant is made up of vines that have large, sharp thorns. These vines and the arrangement of their thorns are almost like razor wire and will attempt to tangle up anything that passes through it. This vegetation will last for a total of 5 posts.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals or channeling chakra, the Naegi will focus chakra into a plant they have started growing. This will cause any produce producing plants to grow to maturation within one post. This technique will prevent that plant from producing viable fruit or vegetables and keep the Jishu Plant from giving off Jishu seeds. Instead the result is a fully grown plant that can produce rotten fruit/vegetables or dead seeds. While most would see this technique as a hindrance given it doesn't produce fruit, the rotten fruit can be utilized as a gen trigger or just a nasty projectile.

After performing a series of one hand seals or channeling chakra while holding a dead seed, the Naegi will proceed to throw it at their opponent or an obstacle blocking their path. Upon impacting into something within 10 meters of where it was thrown from, the seed will detonate with the C rank force.

B-Ranked Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: Requires Iijutsu Concentration
After forming the necessary hand seals or channeling chakra, the Naegi will focus chakra into a Jishu seed and activate it. Touching the seed to an ally or themselves, it will proceed to release ivy vines that latch onto the person's clothes and grow over them. The ivy will grow rapidly with 20 Speed towards any existing wounds as it grows over them. Once it reaches a wound, the ivy vines and leaves will form a protective cover over it as it releases healing chakra into the wound(s). In regards to wound size, small to moderate wounds heal within an entire post while large wounds take about 3 posts total to heal. The ivy vines will remain attached for a total of 5 posts before withering and falling off, growing and healing any wounds that target may incur. It should be noted that these vines will not engulf the target entirely, but rather slither towards wounds like a snake, leaving minimal foliage upon them.

Due to the user's plant body and its lack of organs or muscle, the user can use their body to store objects of varying size. By channeling a small amount of chakra within the body, they can absorb something into the body or pull it out by using the vines to move the object in question to wherever he/she wants it to be. This means they can absorb a Kunai into their chest and move it down the arm in to the hand, letting it poke out through the skin to be used as a weapon.

Having a body made vines does come with some advantages. By channeling a small amount of chakra into the Jishu seed core within his body, Chin can utilize the vines that make up his body as though they were prehensile tails. At this level, he can control one group of vines accurately, using them for anything ranging from grabbing an opponent to grabbing weapons, to pulling himself out of harm's way. Their maximum range at this rank is 10 meter, and they move and act with a speed and strength equal to 5.

Channeling chakra into up to three blossoms upon its vines, the user is able to cause the flower(s) to act as ones eyes and ears for a brief time allowing the user to be able to see and hear through the bloom for up to four posts.

By channeling chakra into the Jishu seed core within his body, Chin regrow his demon plant vines to replace damaged vines through out the body as a form of regeneration and is able to continuously channel this for up to four posts depending on the damage being repaired. Taking up one post for minor wounds, two posts for moderate, and four posts for extensive wounds.

This is an easy taijutsu to perform, using his numerous vines, Chin will untangle the vines making up one arm using them in an attempt to lash out and entangle enemies within range, up to five meters from himself.

After channeling a small amount of chakra into one or both of his vine constructed arms, the user is able to releasing the vines that hold them together and using the vines within his body to manipulate them at a distance. The vine arms must stay attached to his body, otherwise he will lose control over the arms. The limbs detach at the forearm, just before the elbow, and as long as he maintains chakra within the vines, he can control his arms within a max distance of 15 meters.

Taking the Prehensile Vine technique one step further, the user channels chakra through their body, allowing them to utilize the vines of his body as though they were prehensile tails. At this level, he can control up to a maximum of three groups of vines accurately, using them for anything ranging from grabbing an opponent to grabbing weapons, to pulling himself out of harm's way. Their maximum range at this rank is 15 meters and they move and act with a speed and strength of 10.

After channeling chakra throughout his body, Chin's plant body will compress itself down about four times smaller than normal, and his arms and legs will mesh themselves together. Then the vines will begin to worm their way out of his body, allowing the shinobi the ability to slither around on the ground like a snake by using the vines to move. While in this form, he can squeeze himself through any hole large enough to allow his heart safe passage and can move around freely as though he were serpentine.

Taking Mid range mode to a farther level, Chin channels chakra through his body, allowing him to utilize the vines of his body as though they were prehensile tails. At this level, he can control up to a maximum of five groups of vines accurately, using them for anything ranging from grabbing an opponent to grabbing weapons, to pulling himself out of harm's way. Their maximum range at this rank is 20 meters and they move and act with a speed and strength of 20.
[Paralysis Pollen]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After forming the necessary hand seals or channeling chakra, the Naegi will focus chakra into a one of the vine body's crimson blooms. The bloom will then release large amounts of silver pollen into the air that spread out over a 25 meter area at a speed of twenty. If the pollen is inhaled the opponent will begin to lose the use of their legs over the course of the next two posts. This temporary paralysis caused by this plant last for up to two posts but can't affect the same target for six posts afterward the paralysis wears off the first time. The pollen can also be ignited to create a brief fireball that can inflict second degree burns or the pollen can be used as a means of triggering Genjutsu. The flower will continue to pump out a cloud of pollen for the next four posts.

Becoming stationary, the user channel chakra through their body forcing a number of vines to grow outwards from their position through the ground at a strength of five and speed of forty five. The vines release waves of chakra out between one another, these waves of chakra will bounce back to the user after traveling out between the ground. As the chakra returns to the user it will evoke a series of images in the users head of the area covered by their vines, anything touching the ground in that area, and anything up to 5 meters underground. For each post of meditating, they are able to extend his vines one third of a mile out, up to a max of posts equal to 1/2 their control (rounded up).

After performing the necessary hand seals or channeling chakra, Chin will divide his elemental plant body into two identical halves with a single core located within each. This second Chin is identical to the original except each only had six vines instead of twelve and is able to operate independently from the other. But the two halves share a powerful connection being able to communicate telepathically with one another across vast distances.

A fundamental skill in a hunter’s repertoire, Chin has learned to move at a walking pace without his steps making any discernable sounds. Even in thick foliage he can identify and navigate around fragile twigs and dry leaves and step on vegetation in a way as to not make a sound.

This pseudo-camouflage technique doesn’t grant any form of true invisibility, simply it dictates user's ability to approach and stalk targets unseen. Much like the animals of the forest the user can seem to disappear simply by stepping into the foliage, knowing exactly how to navigate any natural or artificial cover that may present itself without exposing himself to visual identification save for the most perceptive of targets.

In his time since being exiled from Suna, Chin has spent a lot of time learning how to track animals and man alike in a variety of environments. He can easily pick up on most trails, observing and analyzing footprints, scuff marks, broken branches and the like. Unless heavily marred by environmental factors the user can follow the physical sign of a trail even if it is several days or weeks old.

The winds of an approaching sand storm were like the faint screams of a banshee drifting through the darkness of the spring night within the Naegi living district. In one of the eighteen living compounds the wails of wind filled sand nearly drowned out the walls of a new born baby boy. A few wisps of snow white hair and a slender body with near perfect white jade color, Chin was welcomed into the world becoming the first born son of his father Nagano.
Four years passed in a flash as the baby boy was now a young child. While the young Chin's days were spent between helping with his new baby sister and playing with a few kinsmen around his age in the family. It was also at the age of four that he was introduced into the at of botany that the clan's name was built around. Learning not only patience but also being instilled with discipline, two things that would help him later in life as a shinobi. At the age of six was when the young Naegi was then introduced into the basic workings of the art of the shinobi. Along with the history of Sunagakure and those shinobi that had came before him, inspiring Chin to dream of becoming a powerful ninja.
At the age eight the young Naegi would officially begin his training to become a shinobi of the Sand village by entering the ninja academy. His Ninjutsu skills were above par while his Taijutsu was a bit lacking, a trend that would follow him through the years to come because of his focus on his clan arts and elemental Ninjutsu. At the age ten, after a long wait in his mind, Chin was bestowed with his first Jishu seen which he would plant within a pot in his room so that it could be tended to at the end of the day.
Chin would graduate the with average marks before signing his the year service contract, moving to a student team with a fellow genin and a special jounin who helped guide the pair of fresh amateurs. Training seemed to have stepped up a notch as he tried to keep up with the ever changing life of a minor shinobi learning his place in the world. But he would always be able to calm down after a long day by returning to his home to care for his personal Jishu Plant. A little over a year passed like this before the genin was reassigned into a Junie squad with three other genin of different families and skill sets. It was over the course of the next two years that his days was spent training and increasing his ability to work as a team with these fellow Suna nin as well as using insights from them to open his eyes in the path of progression towards the rank of chuunin.
At the age of sixteen, Chin would attempt Sunagakure's chuunin exams, which at the end come to a one on one fight to demonstrate ones combat abilities. Being a Naegi who had taken a different path in his way of the shinobi, in that his skills weren't developed for single targets. The young plant user had tailored himself into a type of support fighter who could control parts of the battlefield to better add the team. In the end it was a loss but because of his battle prowess he was still promoted to the rank of chuunin.
Yet before he was even able to ascend into the ranks of an assault team Chin would be sucked with an unforeseeable event that who change everything for the young man. His father had been preparing a special gift for his son successfully passing the exam, it had to do worth the research that he was doing on demon sealing involving specially designed Jishu seeds. The hope was to create a bear similar to that of a spirit companion for clansmen to increase their offensive potential. On this specific day Chin was one of four shinobi helping to maintain a fuuin array as his father sat closer to the center controlling the actual sealing portion of the technique to transfer a captured greater soul demon from a medium sized jar into a chakra enforced Jishu seed.
The seed infused with this greater soul would create a powerful plant creature and the manner of its development bedded for the seed to have to depend upon the body of an Naegi and this unique chakra to survive. It seemed full proof but no one had considered what might happen if the demon spirit was stronger than the shinobi trying to bind the newly created spirit plant. The demon plant could sense that Chin was the weakest amongst the group and is moist promising avenue of taking a body for itself rather than becoming another's play toy.
As the ritual had come to an end and the group of experienced shinobi, approached the new creation with thoughts of a stronger clan future the seed suddenly moved of us own according slamming into the young boy's chest and rapidly sprouting roots that entangled around the shinobi's heart and inner organs. They attempted to surpass the demon plant but we're unable. After consulting with the medical nin of the village they all agreed that this plant which was slowly killing the boy's body would also take his life if it was forcefully removed.
Chin's father had only one thought on his mind and that was that their was not anything of limits or outside of the law of it could save his son. An old friend of the man brought him a crazy idea, it was a kinjutsu used by those wishing to attempt to create an elemental body, something like this was an extreme taboo in the Sand village. But at least if he achieved success then it would all be worth it...the night after in the underground area of the clan the man and a few of his most trusted guards attempted the forbidden technique upon Chin's weakening body that wouldn't last another day, utilizing two specially created Jishu seeds to serve as anchors for the consciousness and what remained of Chin.
With himself now sealed within the pair of Jishu seeds, the roots of the plants attempted to infiltrate these as well as it finished corrupting and destroying the fragile body of the youth. Yet, even though it took hold it was unable to achieve more that forty five percent control over Chin. This was partial die to his new existence within the seeds that allowed him to think and control his chakra with more focus and precision. But it also had to do with one's will to survive, to struggle no matter what the outlook appears to be in order to keep living. Fit as soon as one entered into the mind set of death or dying then it was truly already over for that person.
The shinobi's father knew that the situation could either go one way or another but at this moment their was no other aid he could pee his son but to believe that he would be able to absorb the demon plant and gain complete control over it, using it to reform his body. Knowing this the man had a barrier erected with the underground garden of the Naegi to prevent anyone from interfering and as a back up in case his sons lost this battle so the demon plant would be contained and could be sealed or destroyed if it came down to that. And just like this minutes passed, hours passed...
Days became weeks and weeks became months, during which time the struggle for survival between the two was like a seesaw going back and forth. But over the period of six months Chin's strength in Ninjutsu and even more so in the art of control had unneeded tremendously. It was at this point that he had managed to take control of seventy five percent of the demon plants body and only needs a small push and everything would topple down. Terri months later it finally occurred as he ripped away the plant body taking full control using it to reconstitute his body. Though the body formed was not that of even humanoid in nature...
At first it seemed like a mass of twelve thick vines with grew from a center mass of roots, layer developed a carnivorous bloom on the end of each vine. From outside the barrier the boy's father and a few higher echelon shinobi from the village who had been notified secretly watched on not sure of what to make of the developments occurring and if it was by the means of Chin or the plant's. It would grow to be about ten meters in height with the purple carnivorous blooms investing in size as well, this process took place for over a week's span the a mass of smaller vines emerged from the root cluster and began to swirl into what appeared to be a humanoid shapes with hints of a resemblance to the teen.
Finally, almost nine months after the ordeal began the partial humanoid shape seemed to regain some sort of consciousness as its swirled face began to look around at it's surroundings before slowly lowering is head downward. Chin had achieved victory but at such a price...he had become this monster of his former self. How would he be able to pursue his dreams now that he would be a damnation in the eyes of even his closest friends and clansmen, not to mention the other villagers. Luckily the boy's father had managed to keep this from the majority of even the clan. The rest of the clan were only told that Chin had experienced a terrible accident while training and was in a coma since the accident. In this condition obviously he could not continue his enlistment as a Suna nin, this in itself weighed heavily upon the young man. The months passed as Chin managed learn to control the plant body which regained a human sized and shaped figure which he then used baggy clothing and a mask to hide.
But it only took one slip up to have the truth of the situation revealed as the ridicule and contempt came upon the boy and his immediate family and it escalated to the point were the young man's father helped him escape the confines of the village. Though this was at a tremendous cost to the young man's father whom was swiftly captured and imprisoned within the infamous 'Pit" to most likely to ever see the light of day again, something both of them would have to live with, sadly. This was about six months ago from the present day were the man had been simply slipping around in the shadows attempting to sort out his life and seek some protection for himself.
