- General: Shiina at her core is friendly and outgoing, though prideful and possessing a great deal of confidence that oftentimes seems to border on arrogance, her pride allowing for her to never accept defeat under any circumstances, the very same being said of her belief in her village and those around her. That said, she can sometimes have a hard time getting along with others, always saying exactly what's on her mind and acting as she feels she must, no matter the situation. She also loves an opportunity to stand out and take center stage, whenever the chance to stand out is there she takes it, even often taking charge during missions no matter who she may be working with and should an opponent run off or if she would sense someone, she would be the first to give chase.
However, under all of this is a girl who can't take no for an answer and has a short fused temperament, but rather than being explosive, her anger instead boils over into a quiet, vindictive rage, waiting for an opportune moment to be unleashed. - Hopes/Dreams: Her dream is to one day become special, someone recognized by everyone the world 'round.
- Fears: Despite her general demeanor, she has a huge fear of abandonment, of being alone.

Elemental Specialist:Having devoted their lives to mastering the Elemental affinities, this shinobi is classified as an Elemental Ninjutsu Specialist. Elemental specialist are able to devote a total of 10 concentrations to elemental concentrations, unlike most people who are capped at 8. The user is not able to access any specializations that are marked for Ninjutsu Specialist, but instead, can now pick up concentrations marked for Elemental Specialists. Additionally, their two additional concentrations MUST be used for elements. They cannot use them for ninpou styles. However, they are only able to devote a max of 5 concentrations to Taijutsu, and a max of 5 concentrations to Genjutsu.
As a Ninjutsu Specialist, Shiina is able to utilize Ninjutsu concentrations reserved for specialists, but cannot utilize non-elemental ninjutsu specializations. Born into the Nara house of Konoha to Shiori and Shigeru Nara, Shiina had a rather ordinary childhood, her parents doing their best to instill good values into their only child, for the most part succeeding. It was around the time of Shiina's fifth birthday when they decided to enroll her into the shinobi academy, an event that itself wouldn't occur until several years later, having seen that their young daughter had grown to have an admiration for the shinobi of their village, or at least that was how it had appeared at first glance, and for a while was perhaps even true.
Nearly four years later the time finally came and while she was lagging behind physically, she was very gifted in the art of ninjutsu and chakra control, easily getting the hang of the basics, the young girl very much enjoying the praise that she would receive from her teachers for her talents, though sulking whenever her lack of physical ability was brought up. However it was found that she had an incredible amount of pride, her pride encouraging her to work harder in hopes of receiving more praise, finding along the way that success brought with it an unparalleled sense of joy whereas failure just brought annoyance and pity.
Thanks to her hard work she soon graduated and became a Genin, finding herself placed onto a squad with two others, both clanless with one specializing in genjutsu while the other worked with taijutsu. The trio quickly became friends and worked fairly well together, even despite Shiina's tendency to hog the spotlight, often acting as an unofficial leader in the absence of their sensei, at times to her teammates' displeasure. Nonetheless their time as Genin seemed to move along fairly smoothly, but then came their first attempt at the Chuunin exam. The trio had been working as hard as possible to improve themselves and show themselves ready for a promotion, however once the time came they were horribly beaten not due to a lack of teamwork but rather due to Shiina's pride causing her to simply rush in, ignoring her teammates' screams for her to get back into position, her teammates eventually deciding to join her in her desperate rush as it seemed failure had been inevitable at that point and if they were going to go down, they were going to go down together.
As they had expected, while to a small degree they were praised for their ability to work together, they hadn't quite shown that they possessed the abilities and were stuck as Genin until they could try again.
Fully acknowledging that what had happened had been her own fault, Shiina worked hard to reign herself in just a little and the trio trained harder than ever, Shiina for the first time realizing that the strength her friends put forth was almost like an extension of her own. With this new knowledge, and an emergency plan in case Shiina's pride or tendency to hog the spotlight proved too much for her to restrain, in hand, several months passed and it was time for their second attempt, the team still being defeated but showing a much stronger showing.
