"Xiao" Feng

General Information
Type: Henchman
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Appearance:
Due to his, unfinished, training as a swordsman Feng has accumulated many scars, and is missing the top portion of his left ear. Other than his scars, Taiin is relatively normal, his has shoulder length black hair, bright green eyes, and some what tanned skin from being outside constantly. Because of his physical training, Feng's muscles are more defined than one would expect for someone of his rank, however, this is only because of his constant physical activity, rather than being any stronger than his peers. He is also missing the tip of his right "pinky" finger.

Feng, like his brother Li, wears baggy, black Hakama pants, tied to his waist with a red cord that also holds two black butt pouches to his waste. On his feet are two toed, black Tabi boots, and on his torso is a tight, almost spandex like, long sleeve, black shirt that also covers his neck. A mask of the same material as his shirt covers his entire head, except for the area around his eyes. In most cases Li will wear a straw Sugegasa with foot long pieces of white cloth hanging from it on each side of his face, to help keep the sun from reaching his eyes.

Personality:
If asked to describe himself with one word, Feng would used Passion. Everything that Feng does, he does with his entire being. No matter how big, or small, the task is, Feng will always give his all to see it complete. He is often seen as a "hot head" because of his passion for not only training, but fighting as well. Simply put; Feng is addicted to adrenaline, and this causes him to go out of his way for fights, but, he has also learned, from his brother Li, to approach situations with a calm, calculated mind. He has learned to fight his battles in his mind before he ever attacks physically, so that he can get the most out of the fight, but also so that there are no unnecessary injuries. When it comes to matters of the village, or family, Feng prefers to allow Li to do all of the talking for him, even though he is just as educated as his brother. It should be noted that Feng is terrified of Genjutsu, and freezes up when he realizes that he is within one.

When it comes to matters of the heart, Feng is actually quite closed off from the world. He believes that his family would hate him if he were anything other than "straight," so he does not allow any other ideas other than being straight to enter his mind. However, he is not always able to keep himself from checking out members of the same sex, though he tells himself it is because he is analyzing their fighting ability. He is so focused on being what he believes his family wants him to be, that he does not actually know if he is attracted to women, or, if he is attracted to men, or if he is attracted to both. The idea of being attracted to members of the same sex literally scares Feng, to the point where he refuses to even speak to his twin brother about how he feels, and thinks.

Sekisetsu KenjutsuShow
Sekisetsu Style Sekisetsu was derived from watching snow flurries dance through the air. Sekisetsu involves constant swaying back and forth, while switching the sword from hand to hand, and from standard position to a dagger like gripped position. Practitioners of this style never stay still for longer than a few seconds and are constantly surging back and forth in an attempt to find a blind spot in their enemies defense. Sekisetsu practitioners typically use a Wakizashi and a Tanto, though other blade combinations are possible.
Required Concentrations: [Sword Weapons], [Deft Hands]

[Sekisetsu - Blade Shift]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Blade Shift is a discipline learned after hours of training, and allows the user to switch from a standard sword grip to a downwards dagger grip, and back again.

[Sekisetsu - Swaying Winds]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The most basic stance of Sekisetsu, the user of Swaying Winds sways side to side, and back and forth, mimicking the way a snow flurry moves. Should the user’s Taijutsu stat be five points higher than the opponent's instinct stat, the opponent will find it incredibly difficult to predict the user’s next move.

[Sekisetsu - Leaping Winds]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisites: Blade Shift
The user will bring their blade upward from their dominant hip, with their dominant hand, in a wide, diagonally arcing, slash, before immediately flipping the blade and slashing back down the same path.

[Sekisetsu - Rebuke]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner will use the pommel of their blade to attack their target by slamming it into them, usually aimed at weak spots on their body.

[Sekisetsu - Ambidexterous]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Through hours of rigorous training the user has learned to not only wield a blade in either hand.

[Sekisetsu - Snowblind]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The Sekisetsu practitioner will first attempt to spit in their opponent's eyes, hoping to temporarily blind the target. They will then immediately follow-up with an upward slash to the target’s abdomen.

[Sekisetsu - Shifting Blades]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: Blade Shift, Dual Polarizing Winds
A staple of the Sekisetsu Kenjutsu style, Shifting Blades allows the user to switch between grips on either blade simultaneously without any delay.

[Sekisetsu - Dual Polarizing Winds]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
An ability gained through hours of rigorous training, Dual Polarizing Winds allows the user to dual wield weapons without any detriment.

[Sekisetsu - Shifting Winds]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: Shifting Blades
As the wind shifts around any obstacle, so to does the user’s blades. Shifting Winds is the trained reaction of redirecting one’s own attack mid swing without losing momentum. Should the user’s Taijutsu stat be five points, or more, greater than the target’s instinct, the target will be unable to follow the movement.

[Sekisetsu - Deflect!]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: Shifting Blades
By constantly changing the grip on their blade, the user is able to deflect a multitude of projectile weaponry. Should the user's (int+tai)/2 be greater than the strength stat of the opponent, the user will be able to deflect any projectile thrown by the opponent.

[Sekisetsu - Snow Flurry]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisites: Ambidextrous, Shifting Blades
The user will bring their blades upward from their hips in a wide, arcing slash, before slashing downwards in an X formation. The user will then shift their grip to a downwards dagger grip, and will attempt to slice through the abdomen of their target in a scissoring attack.
Iaido KenjutsuShow
Iaido Kenjutsu:
Iaido Kenjutsu is a sword style originating from the Land of Tea that focuses on the fact that when first drawn, the linear motion and force of pulling a katana from its sheath are able to generate unusually fast slashes. Iaido capitalizes on this, it's samurai equally skilled in close range hand-to-hand fighting and then being able to switch to single fast slashes and stabs before returning to previous combat, making them unpredictable fighters.
Requires [Sword] and [Perception] Concentrations
*[Iaido • Swift Draw]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 5 Taijutsu, 8 Speed
With the most widely recognized attack of Iaido style, the user draws their katana at a very quick speed, making a powerful slash in tangent with the draw. This technique is dependent on the user's overall reaction speed as it is usually only used when an opening presents itself or when the user needs to draw their sword quickly.

*[Iaido • Block]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 8 Speed
A technique developed out of need to protect himself from other weapon users, Block is simple in its use, but highly effective when used right. By partially drawing their sword, the user of this technique is able to use the back of their blade to block incoming weapon attacks should they time it correctly. The user must be careful when using this technique, should the attacker have a high enough strength, this technique could very well shatter the user's weapon.

*[Iaido • Hilt Strike]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 8 Speed
A simple technique, Hilt Strike is designed for moments when the target is to close for the user to fully draw their sword. Gripping their hilt in a downward dagger position, the user will quickly draw their blade out as far as they can, and use the butt of the hilt to strike their target in an attempt to push them back and set them up for their other attacks.

*[Iaido • Cutting The Eyes]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 8 Speed
A simple, yet very effective technique, Cutting The Eyes is a Line Draw aimed at the target's eyes. The user attempts to horizontally slash the target's eyes in order to remove their eyesight.

*[Iaido • Line Draw]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 8 Speed
The technique is recognized by its signature stance of one hand just below the opening of the katana sheath and the other firmly on the sword. Drawing the sword in one swift motion, the user creates a horizontal or vertical slash in front of themselves before sheathing the sword, often chaining these strikes together for greater effect.

*[Iaido • Clash Draw]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 15 Speed, 10 Instinct
In this technique, the user assumes a firm stance and then draws their weapon in an upward arc. This sort of draw makes it easy to bat away projectiles moving at a Speed equal to or lower than the user's Speed and Instinct stats. This also enables the user to cut through advancing techniques or to clash with an opponent's weapon. This movement, however, may leave the user without the ability to sheath his weapon for some time, limiting the effectiveness of their techniques until they can

History Feng's life was absolute shite in the beginning. His parents died when he was four, a byproduct of being shinobi, and because he had no family to care for him, he was placed into an orphanage. Life in the orphanage was not terrible in of itself, however, the older kids were fond of bullying, which caused Feng to spend most of his time wandering through the village. As he was unsupervised for the majority of his time during the day, Feng began to steal anything, and everything, that he wanted. This led to Feng constantly getting into trouble, until the day that he met Xiao Li. Li caught the boy attempting to steal some food, and wine, and decided to pay for the things for Feng so that he would not have to write up any paperwork on the crime.

After speaking to Feng for a few hours, Li had decided to adopt the boy as a younger brother, naming him Xiao Feng, and placed him into the village's academy. Feng was absolutely horrid at Ninjutsu, and Genjutsu, which came as a surprise to Li because he had found out that the boy's parent's had been a puppet user, and a long range Ninjutsu and Genjutsu user. However, Feng excelled in Taijutsu, and even proved able to split his attention between two weapons at the same time. Upon discovering this aspect of Feng, Xiao Li hired a traveling swordsman he had met on a mission to train his younger brother. This swordsman had developed a sword style known as Sekisetsu, which had been derived from watching snow storms in Blizzard country. Xiao Feng took to this style like a fish to water, and poured his heart, and soul, into it. During his training with Sekisetsu, Xiao Li also forced Xiao Feng to train in Iaido kenjutsu as well, so that he would have more than one option in battle.

With all of the extra training outside of the academy, Xiao Feng's studies began to fall behind, causing him to fail his classes, though with some tutoring from from Xiao Li, his grades quickly rose. While he was unable to effectively use Ninjutsu, and Genjutsu, he still firmly grasped their concepts, and swore that he would one day master them, just as he would his Kenjutsu. He eventually passed his exit exams for the ninja academy, and became a Genin. From then on Xiao Feng was placed with a Taijutsu focused Chuunin who would be able to help the boy hone his kenjutsu skills even further. This caused Xiao Feng to really focus on making his training in Sekisetsu, and Iaido, his own, because he was no longer able to rely on a master to correct him when he did something wrong, as the Chuunin was unfamiliar with both kenjutsu styles. His Chuunin instructor was, however, able to teach him the proper ways to train his body, how to eat healthy, and how to better prepare his body for training, something Xiao Li had over looked, as he was not familiar with Taijutsu training.

Under the guidance of his Chuunin instructor, Xiao Feng's skill in kenjutsu rose at astonishing rates. While he did not learn many new things, he was able to refine his techniques, and was able to perform better overall. His most recent accomplishment has been passing his Chuunin exam, which has allowed him to accompany his elder brother Xiao Li as his student, and retainer.
