Gene will gather a concentrated amount of lightning in his hand after performing the hand seals for this technique. The lightning causes a sound similar to thousands of birds chirping over the top of each other while it is in existence. He will then dash at full speed toward a target. He will then attempt to thrust his hand into(through) their target's body. The lightning is able to give the hand the ability to burn through a person's body. The lightning then shocks the target as per Raiton's passive abilities. Those with 35+ speed will find this technique gives them +10 strength when combating defensive techniques. The lightning disappears from the user's hand after 2 posts.

Note: With Gene's Instinct level being so high (33) he can use this technique without experiencing the effects of tunnel vision.

Raiton • Raiton Release: Shadow clone
A-ranked Raiton Jutsu

Created through the study of the infamous Shadow Clone technique, Gene has applied the fundamentals of Kage Bunshin to a unique form of Bunshin dubbed; Raiton Release: Kage Bunshin, otherwise known as Lightning style: Shadow clone. Like the standard Shadow clone the Raiton Kage Bunshin takes after the creator in both appearance and physical mass meaning that it is able to interact with the physical world and cast jutsu. However, the Raiton style Shadow clone is not perfect by any means as a solid blow or two is enough to destroy it. This variant of the Shadow clone technique carries all of Gene's stats evenly varying by the number of clones created (save for stamina).

After performing the correct hand seals, a beam of lightning will erupt from the user's hand. The lightning will travel 50m at 20 speed and explode with the force of 4 explosive tags on contact, while applying the Raiton shocking effect throughout the explosion's area.

Prerequisites : 20 Instinct, 15 control

Description This technique was created by Gene for the specific purpose of augmenting his physical body in terms of Endurance. By concentrating Raiton elemental chakra throughout his entire being Gene is able to stimulate both muscles & nerves of the brain essentially improving his reaction time by marginal amount. The armor envelops Gene at a speed of 18 and lasts for up to 5(five) posts unless damage in excess of (22) strength is sustained.

B-ranked Raiton Jutsu
The user will first perform the correct hand seals before releasing a basketball sized orb of lightning 15m into the air. The orb will then cascade sheets of lightning down in the shape of a dome over the caster, with a 15m radius. This dome, apart from being exceptionally loud, forms a sort of protection against attacks. It comes into being at 20 speed, and is able to redirect hits of up to 20 strength in a downward direction. These sheets of lightning also serve as a visual obscurity. This technique lasts for up to 3 posts depending on the user's discretion.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will seep Raiton chakra in an area around them with a 20m diameter. The user's Raiton techniques will travel 5 points faster when they travel through this zone for 3 posts. This technique ends the moment the user leaves this area. They also return to normal speed upon leaving the area. This technique does not apply the shocking effect.

C-ranked Raiton Jutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user emits a wave of electricity from their palm in a single direction. This is produced as a 10m wide line which extends 2m into the air and travels up to 25m from the user at 10 speed. The wave will apply the shocking effect and reduce the speed of any living thing it strikes by 5 points for 3 posts by electrically interfering with the brain's nervous signals.

C-ranked Raiton Jutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user creates two orbs of lightning the size of basketballs slightly above their head. They are then able to direct these orbs at a speed of 10 at their will, however they may not move while doing this. These orbs cannot leave a 40m diameter around the user, and detonate with the power of a single explosive tag each on contact with a solid. These orbs last a maximum of 4 posts, and may be self destructed at any moment in their lifespan at the user's will.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user emits a wave of electricity from their palm in a single direction. After performing the correct hand seals the user covers their body in a layer of visible static which crackles around them for 4 posts. Anything which comes within 6 inches of their body will be repelled with a force of 5 strength and have the Raiton Shocking effect applied.

D-ranked Raiton Jutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user will coat a weapon they are holding in Raiton electricity for 5 posts. This causes the shock effect to be produced on any contact with a target, while also granting blunt weapons the ability to cut through skin to produce shallow wounds. This also works for thrown weapons, however if the projectile remains out of contact with the user for more than 2 posts the technique will dissipate early.

D-ranked Raiton Jutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user will channel Raiton chakra to two of their fingers. They will then be able to fire up to three total bullet sized balls of concentrated lightning from their fingertips. These bullets will travel at 5 speed, but will not have any physical force. Instead, they will apply light electrical burns similar to a sun burn and will apply Raiton's shocking effect.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will create a copy of themselves out of Raiton chakra. The clone will be able to move with the stats labelled below, while also exploding with the force of a single exploding tag upon death (which also applies the raiton passive effect). Concentrating Raiton elemental chakra in one or both of his hands Gene allows the stored energy to become violent. Once charged, these small sphere's of Raiton elemental chakra can be thrown as a projectile toward any noun within feasible distance. Upon contact with said noun the projectile will latch on to the target and detonate with the force of one explosive tag.

This clone favors him in both appearance and substance; however, it functions at about a third of the creators Stamina capacity meaning that it cannot perform Ninjutsu or Genjutsu techniques. However, what it lacks in the two categories it makes up for in raw Taijutsu ability and speed. Carries the Raiton passive effects once killed.

A B-rank clone has 45 stats to distribute with a maximum of 18 in a category. Clones can't perform ninjutsu or genjutsu by default anyway (without a penalty to stats/rank) so that line doesn't change anything. Gene has a Stamina of 13 and the clone has 10, so I'm not sure what you mean by it functioning only at a third of his stamina capacity. Also to channel this technique you will need to be an Elemental Specialist and own the Advanced Channeling conc.

Also I note that the formatting here doesn't match the existing jutsu on your character page - would you like a nocode PM'ing over?

I'm going to argue that you aren't going to get a Shadow Clone made with Raiton at the same rank as Shadow clone. Shadow Clones are very specific in their function and it almost seems like you are just... wanting a clone that works like both.

If you want a Shadow Clone with Raiton infusion, you are going to need to make an A-Rank technique that is just shadow clone with raiton. If you want Raiton clones, then follow the clone rules in the Jutsu/Concentration section of the rules.

Okay, so here is the A-ranked variant of the Shadow clone technique as taken from the Archive section of the Ninpou techniques/

The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but they will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original and any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. Given that the clones are an exact replica of the user, they share the same stats except for stamina, which is determined by the number of clones presently in effect. The advantage of this form of the technique is that once dispersed, the chakra distributed to the clones returns to the user, allowing any un-used chakra to be regained, slowing the draining usage of this technique. However, unlike the standard Shadow clone technique chakra used to create the clone is not returned to the user but instead is discharged in the form of electricity applying the Raiton passive effect affecting any person/animal/thing caught within a one meter radius of the discharge.

Notice anything here? For one, the key variable: CHAKRA IS NOT RETURNED TO THE CREATOR is stated blatantly automatically setting it apart from the aforementioned A-rank version of the same technique. Secondly, while the obvious parent jutsu to this technique is the Shadow clone it is an elemental technique that abides by the passive effects of Lightning and should be looked at as such. Evaluating this objectively; even in the description wherein the jutsu is first explained with "essentially a Shadow clone infused with Raiton chakra," the design & function is blatantly made clear since you (the moderator) know what a Shadow clone is. Now considering that this version of the technique is arguably weaker than the B-rank version (as far as stats go) and definitely not in a class with the A ranked counter part I'd say that B rank seems fair if not pushing it. Now I'm pretty much all for moderator calls and what have you but this kind of seems like nitpicking unless I'm missing something pretty vital which in that case, let me know.

Now to explain what Ginja meant. He was asking if you'd rather have a straight up raiton jutsu, that is a clone. That would be subjected to the clone rules of its stat distribution, and special properties, yadda, yadda.

Now he was asking if you'd rather have a ninpou shadow clone with raiton as a pre-requisite. This basically just means you get the benefits of a shadow clone, (your stats, split stamina, ability to use any jutsu in your inventory), but with the benefits of when they die they inflict the raiton passive against the thing killing them. This would lead to it be 1 ranked higher because of its shadow clone capabilities with a special effect of raiton.

The raiton clone would be restricted by the clone stats, as well as deranking stats, and being limited to raiton only. This way you'd have a B-rank clone with E-rank stats, but the ability to explode with raiton upon death, the ability to use raiton jutsu up to its own rank, and to split stamina like a shadow clone.

Initially the idea was to have it not use any Jutsu despite being a "Shadow clone" (in name only) and instead have the copy be proficient in Taijutsu. Basically giving it a huge handicap altogether for the sake of being reasonable; however, after further consideration I'll just go with bumping it up to an A-ranked Jutsu. Edited

Please change this to reflect current Shadow Clone description.

I'm afraid I will have to say no to cutting out the tunnel vision aspect; although limited in its use, this is still a +10 strength boost and the tunnel vision is the main balancing factor to offset that.

Description This technique was created by Gene for three specific purposes; the first of which being to augment his physical body in terms of speed. By concentrating Raiton elemental chakra throughout his entire being Gene is able to stimulate both muscles & nerves of the brain essentially improving his reaction time by marginal amount. The second and likely most overlooked aspect of this technique is that it acts as protection from moderately powered Taijutsu attacks - granted coupled with his improved reaction time this extra defense serves to protect Gene from those whom might still be able to keep up with him despite the temporary boost in speed. Lastly and perhaps the most important (in Gene's opinion) aspect of this Jutsu is that due to the Raiton surrounding his body, the phonon's that would ordinarily generate sound during his movements are being passively manipulated by the produced electromagnetic field around him essentially making him almost "Sound proof." Of course those with higher instinct than 20 would still be able to hear him moving albeit faintly.

A little difficult to follow. As I understand it, it's creating a layer of Raiton chakra around Gene that acts as armor, bestows a +6 speed boost, and makes him move (almost) silently? I think each of those should be separate jutsu. Also, the armor needs a speed that it forms at and a strength it can withstand; the speed boost needs a corresponding debuff.

Great for buying time, creating diversions or simply watching things in pain - this jutsu was designed by Gene in humor.

Noun? Typo? Otherwise I'm not sure what the jutsu is targeting. Also note that at D-rank the passive is just tingling and very minor numbness, it wouldn't inflict pain at this level. But you could make the jutsu detonate with the strength of 1 explosive tag if you wish.

I think it should be "all of Gene's stats save for stamina which is split evenly among the number of clones created." (or words to that effect).

@Armor - Interesting. Ordinarily I'd still like the speed boost and defensive armor to be separate jutsu, but in this case I think it's okay; the -6 stamina debuff from the speed boost is actually counteracting (in a way) the defense boost you're getting from the armor, which works to balance the two-in-one effect of the jutsu. I'm happy to approve it - but just making sure you are also satisfied with that?

@Sticky Grendade - Ok, but I don't understand targeting a noun. How do you throw something at a type of word? I apologise if it seems like I am being difficult - I am just trying to make the jutsu clear for myself and anyone else that may need to read it in the future!

The raiton Shadow clone section was fixed to the stamina suggestion and yes, I would like to keep the Raiton armor as is. As for the sticky grenade noun being reference to a person, place or thing which are all things that could be affected by the jutsu. So yes, keep that.
