Shadow of the Tail
C-ranked Taijutsu Discipline
If being followed by somebody with a lower average between instinct and taijutsu, Zai can get the feeling she's being followed even if she can't see the individual. For this to work, the stalker must follow her for at least one post (or an in-character equivalent amount of time). The technique works on a subconscious level, picking up clues from the tiniest factors like crowd patterns, reflections, movements of particles in the air and on the ground, etc. Things so minute she can't pick out normally, but her sub-conscience can. This technique only tells her she's being watched and a very vague general direction.

Advanced flex
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Through her intimate knowledge of her body, she is able to flex any muscle. This doesn't have many practical effects, but she uses it for unique launching mechanisms attached to her body and outfit.

Emptying of the mind
C-ranked Taijutsu Stance
After years of practicing her meditation, Zai is now able to completely calm and quiet her mind. This technique doesn't have many practical purposes but is useful against those that read minds and can be blocked through will and imagination. It does nothing against those that can search through her thoughts or push past mental defenses, but it does allow her to prevent herself from thinking anything she wouldn't want them to hear if they're only capable of reading active thoughts. While doing this, her Ninjutsu/Taijutsu and Genjutsu are effectively 1

Steel Flex
B-ranked Taijtusu Stance
By focusing her strength and flexing all of the muscles in an area at the same time, Zai is able to exert her full endurance on one location. Her muscles become as durable as materials made of 3/4 her strength stat. Meaning blades would cut the overlying fat and skin, but would feel like it had hit metal (depending on her strength stat) once it hit her muscles.

Finger Daggers
B-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: Steel flex
By performing steel flex and hardening the muscles in her fingers, Zai is able to use her fingers like weapons. She has to move at a speed and strength high enough to penetrate a material despite not being sharp. Additionally, her bones are still just as strong as before, so impact with a stronger surface or force may cause damage.

Strength-Speed Transfer
A-ranked Taijutsu Stance
By focusing all of her energy away from her speed-related muscles to her strength related muscles or vice versa, Zai is able to transfer up to 12 stat points from speed to strength or vice versa. The transfer happens almost instantaneously and lasts for up to 7 posts. Any increase in one of the stats, will cause an immediate equal debuff on the other. Once the technique ends, it can not be performed for another 2 posts and results in -2 to both speed and strength for the next 2 posts.

Omnipresence
S-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 34 Speed
By turning her head rapidly every quarter second and responding to what she sees, Zai is effectively able to fight as if she were three people. So long as she's moving at a speed greater than or equal to 10 more than her opponents, she's able to see and react to attacks that are coming from different directions and angles. The speed of her movement makes it look like there are three of her rooted in the same spot, her after images almost seeming like ninjutsu-created appendages and portions of her body. This only works if the targets are at most 180 degrees apart.

After years of practicing, Zai has mastered the ability to mimic virtually anybody. By watching her targets, she is capable of perfectly mimicking any mannerisms, vocal tones and idiosyncrasies that she witnesses. This jutsu is passive during the observation stage, in that she's naturally observing everyone around her and catching all of the subtle things that would sell the act if she were to pretend to be them. Generally, if she's heard somebody say around a paragraph's worth of dialogue, she can mimick their voice to say anything, but it's risky since they may have unique pronunciations and mannerisms when saying things Zai didn't hear them say.

So long as some of a target's relavent muscles are visible while they're launching a strike, Zai is able to tell if they're about to feint. By watching what muscles are being tensed, she can see if the target is preparing to pull into a different direction, giving her a split moment's prediction which is often more than enough to give her an advantage in battle.

Impact Spread
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
By opening up her palm when delivering a strike and very carefully rolling the attack through her hand, Zai is able to apply all her force but diffuse it greatly through the target. This results in a strike having almost all of its strength used to push instead of creating an impact. This is mostly used to be able to subdue weaker targets without damaging them too greatly or killing them.

Ranged blast
A-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: 34 speed and strength
By launching a swift strike with all her speed and strength and then pulling back and twisting the limp sharply, Zai releases a blast of raw air and force that can go up to 10 meters. The blast is only the size of her fist and on impact, spreads evenly across the surface. It impacts with a strength equal to half the average between her strength and speed. The point of impact immediately feels like it was hit by a regular Punch by that strength, but the force is then dispersed and pushes the target back an amount of meters equal to half the average of her strength and speed.

Vacuum Pull
A-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: 34 Speed and Strength
With an open palm, Zai pushes her hand out with all her strength and speed before suddenly and very sharply pulling it back, the result being that she creates a very temporary vacuum in front of her. This vacuum is 5 meters long, but is only as wide and tall as her palm. On impact, the target feels like the portion that Zai's palm targetted was pulled by a magnet with a force equal to half the average of her speed and strength

The rest of the swords are within the scabbard that's usually attached to her outfit, the partial sealing seal on the inside of the scabbards keeps the blades sealed away partially while exposing the hilts so they can be easily grabbed.

Staff-2
A six-foot long staff that's kept on her outer left thigh. The staff is kept in a pocket on her clothing that is lined with a partial sealing seal, allowing for only four inches of the metal staff to be revealed.

Whip-2
She has an 8-foot long leather whip, one foot of which is the handle. A thick, rounded metal handle that juts out of a small pocket on her right outter thigh. The rest of the whip is in the pocket which is lined with the partial sealing fuuinjutsu that hides a majority of the weapon.

Leather gloves-2
Fingerless thick leather gloves that don't provide much in the way of defending against impacts, but are useful in allowing Zai to touch blades without immediately being cut. Of course, this pretty much only protects her hand when touching a blade that isn't moving fast or strong enough to cut through leather.

Wrist launcher-20
An angled blade with one sharp point and three inches of blade curving back on both sides. This almost boomerang-shaped blade is attached to the back of her leather gloves and can be launched with a speed and strength of 25 by performing very specific muscle flexing through the Advanced Flex technique.

Rods -3
one foot long with a 10 cm diameter, these are small but dense and heavy cylinders. Zai uses them in place of her arrowheads for non-lethal attacks. They distribute all the force of a regular projectile but very little penetrative ability.
  • She keeps 25 of the rods on little pockets kept around her waist like a belt. Each one only is partially visible, as the rest is in the pocket that's lined with a fuuinjutsu seal.
  • She keeps four on each arm, two on her forearm and two on the opposite side, also in special pockets.

Zai has had an eventful life, and it started from about as low a point as one could in any of the great villages. An untouchable of Kirigakure.

Her father was once a rich merchant who long ago succumbed to his addiction to gambling and alcohol, taking him from one of the richest merchants within his province and a valuable source of income within the Karagata family to a discarded and forgotten thief. His income came almost entirely from cons and thefts. He was surprisingly a good thief and con-man, having plenty of skill and charm. His success was irrelevant, however, as any income was immediately turned into wasted outcome.

Her mother was a prostitute that was also officially an untouchable, so her clientele was limited. Zai's father had been a client of hers, but she refused to give up the child when she was accidentally impregnated. Her father was not a fan of the obligation, but allowed it in exchange for having a relatively attractive sex toy as well as a potential source of income in the future, and that's exactly how he treated his "wife" and daughter.

From the moment she could first form sentences, Zai was both remarkable and rebellious. she was essentially raised by her mother who tried her best, and the incredible amount of misfortune and suffering around her. Since she was first able to move or speak in defiance of her father, she did and was beat mercilessly for it. Her mother received a similar fate, with the added bonus of being consistently raped. It changed the two of them, making Zai angry and her mother focused on survival. She drilled the concept of self-preservation into her daughter, hell-bent on ensuring the world would never break her the way it had done to her.

By the time Zai was 10, she could already steal just about anything within grabbing distance without anybody noticing. She had decided at 7 that she could not depend on the income of her mother, and she was definitely not going to put herself in her father's debt. Her ability to detect and see through bullshit was impressive even for an adult's standards, and she had absolutely no patience for oppressors or authority. Even so, she was not at all ready for the day her mother died at the hands of her father. She was far more mature and strong than anybody her age, but seeing her mother beaten to death during a drunken rampage and then seeing her father not brought to justice broke her. What she had left of her childhood died on that day, along with both her parents. Her father was awoken for a brief moment that night, just long enough to see his daughters eyes staring down coldly at him while the sharp pain of a penetrating knife clawed its way up from his jaw until he was gone.

The next few years contibue to be a blur for her. She had nobody in her life any more and had only one goal: survival. She taught herself how to stay hidden, how to take advantage of her size, appearance and intelligence to one-up stronger and more dangerous clients. She would go a whole day picking peoples pockets and breaking into their homes to steal things, and never have a single interaction. She learned very early on how to disappear and get what she wanted.

At the age of 15, she managed to pick the pocket of a Jounin that was on assignment in the area. The jounin didn't notice the theft itself, but almost immediately noticed the lack of the jingle that had previously been there. Noticing just in time to watch her carefully and subtly sneak off, the Jounin chased after her. To his surprise, the young untouchable gave him an incredibly difficult chase that resulted in him having to use sensory to find her hidden in one of her many spots, bewildered she was discovered.

The jounin was beyond impressed. Untouchable or not, he recognized her potential and figured the social ramifications would be worth it if she became a shinobi that brought pride to his family. It'd also be a lie if he didn't admit something about the wild, viscious look in the girl resonated with him, making him want to help. So after much convincing of both Zai and academy and village officials, Zai w as adopted into the family that her father had previously been adopted into as well.

While she was far from a team player, the girl was unleashed at the academy. She immediately fell in love with Taijutsu and just as quickly made it clear why she had been accepted into the academy. Less than a year into her studies and she was blowing away the competition, even her upper classmen, when it came to taijutsu. She picked up styles with ease and immediately set to personalizing them, creating her own variations. Her ability with ninjutsu was also above average, but it didn't interest her, not nearly enough as the phsyical arts. It was the first time she was able to relieve stress and have fun at the same time, and she spent as much time as possible practicing.

Graduating the academy with ease, she very quickly rose through the shinobi ranks. Her ability with taijutsu only increased and grew more ruthless, leading to her creating her own style of assassination techniques that impressed even those whose job was primarily asassination. She was quickly growing into the ideal Kiri shinobi, especially now that she was taking an interest in ninjutsu. Having realized the power it could grant her, she began dedicating more of her time to it on top of her taijutsu.

Quickly, the village promoted her to special jounin tasked with hunting down targets and killing them. She not only did well, she flourished. Her name immediately rang through relevant circles and she quickly became known as a rising star and exemplary Kiri shinobi. She was treated better, approached by shinobi and citizens alike positively and frequently praised by her superviors.

Yet all the while, the girl was never satisfied. Her instinct for self-preservation had grown to one of self-determination. She had no friends, no significant others, no family. The jounin that effectively adopted her learned immediately that she would not be raised by him or anybody else. She rarely slept in a bed and almost never in the house she had been allowed to live in. She popped in out of a responsibility to the man that changed her life, but they had little more than a casual rapport and he was the only person she spoke to at all in a non-professional setting.

Her dedication to her training was primarily for her self, to ensure that nobody could ever put her in the position her mother was put in. She refused to be weak enough to allow any entity to control or limit her. As soon as she became a special jounin, she barely spent any time in the village, returning only when required. She was referred to frequently as the killer cat of kiri, by those not great at making nicknames, for her tendency to just quietly show up and leave, avoiding contact with just about everyone along the way.

The longer she spent outside of the village, the more she learned that what was normal in Kiri was very much not in the rest of the world. She learned that some places were much worse off, with people suffering for what seemed to be such easily solved and stupid reasons. Then she learned that Kiri's cruel caste system that was ultimately responsible for her childhood was not at all a normal at not at all a necessity, and for the first time she turned from ambivalent about her village to resentful. Her resentment grew with each visit back, and each interaction she hd with other countries did the same for her with the entire world.

It was all so stupid. The usually logical, apathetic and cold Zai was slowly plunged into bitter resentment and anger, which she did not handle well. Her obsession for strength only grew and she gave herself the goal of becoming the most powerful person in the world, destroying anything and everything that got in her way. She wanted the power not only for full independence but to be able to destroy any of the institutions she deemed stupid, which was most of them. Eventually, she just stopped returning to the village entirely.

She created created an organizaion of missing ninja, promising them protection and brotherhood in exchange for their contribution of strength. She aimed to create her own army, further securing her independence and giving her the tools to do what she wanted. In the proccess, she discovered the existence of Jikukan and immediately decided she had to have it. She chased down all leads for information on the style that she could find, with each of them either leading nowhere or resulting in assistance that wasn't sufficient. She couldn't learn it just from snippets of information, demonstrations and rumors, which would normally be enough for her to reverse engineer anything. The style was too complex and her mastery of ninjutsu was lacking, so se studied and she pursued. She needed a teacher, so she improved her ninjutsu and hunted down the first Jikukan user she could find.

Almost immediately, realizing how much of a threat the woman was, her target threw her into his personal realm. He was far weaker than her in all respects except for his knowledge of ninjutsu and Jikukan, which really only made im able to lock her way, not strong enough to defeat her. She was a constant drain on his already weak stamina for two years. His plan to grow strong enough to defeat her held a serious flaw: he could only train slowly, lesst he deplete his stamina and let her escape, but she was unencumbered with nothing but time.

Zai took the two years to train in a new way: mentally. Her prolonged solitude left her no choice but to either go insane or look inward. It was the most personal development she had ever experienced and by the end of it, she was practically a new woman. Her ruthlessness was there, but it was directed now. Her hatred for the systems of the world changed from a desire for anarchy and destruction to a desire for a new world order with her a the helm. Her fighting abilities became more crisp, precise and thoughtful,, straying from the brutal and primal nature it previously had. Those two years honed her edge, she was almost thankful.

As her control over chakra and her own body grew, the hold her captor had on her weakened. He could tell she was growing stronger and eventually had no choice but to hire a team of missing ninja to help him go into his realm and kill her. He severely underestimated just how much stronger she had gotten, getting him and four other b-ranked missing ninja killed, releasing her back into the main realm.

Escaping before it all crumbled behind her, Zai was now ready to take on the world. Quickly, she began searching for her old organization recruits as well as looking for new ones. Having formed a small team, she has begun the first stage of her plan: taking control of Juu no Kuni. It was less than four months between her escape and her building of a base within the country, she has a plan and no intention of going slow. The world was just waiting for her to fix it.

Her body is riddled with scars and burn marks, but she had always been and always is careful about not scarring her face.

She has a variety of sealing tattoos around her body as well.
[b]Clothing/Accessories:[/b] Zai likes to prepare herself for any situation that might arise. Whether wearing a traditional kimono in the courts of a Daimyo or an all-blac body suit sneaking through back alleys, she keeps a number of hidden compartments spread throughout her outfits. When going on a mission, she wears a sturdy outfit made out of black materials inlaid with light metals to provide her with maximum flexibility and protection. The overcoat of her chestpiece has a hood sewn into it for both protection and to hide her identity. She usually keeps a pair of bandana on her at all times, one plain black and the other stamped with the symbol of her organization. The latter is used much less frequently than the former given her penchant for laying low.

When wearing all of her gear, almost none of her skin is left exposed. Every last inch is covered except for her eyes and forehead. Additional hidden compartments are built into her thick leather pants. Her boots are nonchalant and black to match the rest of her outfit. They're custom-designed and include further compartments, to say nothing of their capability for trudging through muddy terrain.

[b]Forehead Protector:[/b] She has an in-tact kiri forehead protector in a hidden compartment in her clothing right above her heart. She also has a bland forehead protector with no symbol that she sometimes actually wears around her forehead, usually disguised by her hood.

Zai is best described as logical and pragmatic. She believes that everything happens for a reason and has a very cold, calculated approach to the world. She still has emotions, of course, but is much more capable of controlling and manipulating them. She also just doesn't care about them in general, either. While she understands humans well and knows how to manipulate them and their emotions, she does not at all care about filtering her words to comfort others. She believes in being 100% honest all of the time, unless it's useful for her not to be. If all that's at stake is a person's feelings, she literally couldn't care less.

Zai has spent a considerable amount of time and effort growing into the person she is today. Before, she was angry at the way the world worked and desired absolute power to be able to wreak havoc in it. She wanted to grow strong enough that absolutely no entity could ever be above her, nor tell her what to do. It was a culmination of both her massive ego and her inability to be in a position where anybody has control or power over her. As time went on and she learned more of the world, it became clear that the best course of action wasn't the dark, cruel path of killing and fighting as much as she could, but instead, in creating the efficient, productive future she imagined.

Despite her callous and apathetic nature, Zai is good at heart. She desires a fair and equal world and if it were up to her, everybody would have the opportunity for greatness. With that said, however, she has absolutely no qualms with killing 10,000 people if it means saving 10,001. She has a general disdain for humanity that causes her to avoid interaction as much as possible and not be particularly bothered by death. If there's somebody taking up her time and annoying her, she's also more than happy to punch them in the face rather than commit to small talk. She may be good at heart, but she's an asshole in every other regard.

Her intelligence, adaptability, objectivity, and understanding of humans is what makes her a remarkable shinobi. She is capable of developing long and complex plans and change them entirely at a moment's notice. She understands humans in the way a scientist understands an animal, knowing what reactions to expect from certain stimuli, even if she herself would never react in such a way. Coupled with her pragmatic training of all her skills, this allows her to be a magnificent actor and leader. When she feels like it, at least.

After two years stuck between dimensions, Zai finally knows what she truly wants, what's always made her so frustrated. The world is broken, and not for some stupid reason that requires a stupid answer like killing all humans. People are just dumb, those that were unfit to govern almost always did. With her abilities, her network and her intelligence, she plans to fix it all. She shoots for perhaps the tamest and most socially responsible form of world domination, where she controls everything not for power, well not entirely, but also for the sake of the world she's conquering.

With all that said, however, Zai still loves to fight. Since she first started her career as a shinobi, combat has been her favorite thing.
In another life, she would have done competitive martial arts and devoted her entire life to it, as nothing brings her more entertainment. The challenge of pairing your knowledge and physical abilities against somebody else's and adapting on the spot to survive was thrilling. The mechanics of taijutsu enthralled her so much that it even surpassed her desire for greatness, leading her to ultimately dedicating more to taijutsu than ninjutsu even though she believes the latter to be more practical and powerful. To this day, she's passionate about taijutsu and will often take vacations to research new styles she's caught wind of. Entire carefully crafted plans have become close to being ruined because she met an opponent with a unique fighting style that she just HAD to engage. Those that interact with her often are usually surprised to see the outpouring of energy, enthusiasm and emotion she displays during fighting but just about nowhere else.[/spoiler][i]

Both he arrowhead and the shafts are made of one piece of metal, so they can't be easily broken like a regular shaft and arrow. The arrowheads themselves are a regular size for arrows.

The soles of the boots are thick so as to contain the four blades that can be activated and forced to jut out. There’s one in the toe area, the heel area and on the left and right side of the boot. Zai activates the blades with a pulse of chakra, revealing whichever of the blades she wishes. The same process is used for retraction of the blades. Each blade is three inches long. The rest of the boots go up to just below her knee, with a metal-rimmed guard jutting out to protect her knee. The inside of this raised portion of the boot is also lined with senbon.
[*][b]2 Scythe-daggers[/b] kept partially sealed in the scabbards on her back. The inner lining of the scabards seal the remainder, leaving just the hilt. The blades are particularly lethal when pulled out of a wound, tearing flesh as they do so. [list][*][b]1 Shoulder Shield[/b]- kept partially around her shoulder, with the remainder of he shield kept within the cloth covering with fuuinjutsu that partially seals it, allowing the shield to be pulled out and used as a traditional shield instead of a shoulder guard. When fully unsealed, the shield is a rectangular shield with one curved corner hat measures 5 feet long and 3 feet wide. There is a handle made into the shield at the center that the user can hold onto, and the shield is made of durable steel.

The hilt and two side prongs of the trident are showing, but the main blade is partially sealed into the fuuinjutsu on the underside of her belt, allowing easy access to the weapons without them stabbing her in the leg while moving. The blade is 2 feet long.

The blade is curved and serves both as an efficient weapon and a useful tool. The handle of the karambit has a unique grip that only those familiar with the weapon can effectively use. The tip of the handle has a loop where the user can put a finger through it before holding the blade with the curve inward and the point jutting outward, making it easy to manipulate and almost impossible to disarm. The blade is only 11 inches long, but has two sections where the blade edge is serrated, one towards the point and one towards the handle. These edges cause massive ripping and tearing when the blade is pulled out from whatever it impaled.[/i][/spoiler][i][i][i]

[*][b]Staff[/b]- A six-foot long staff that's kept on her outer left thigh. The staff is kept in a pocket on her clothing that is lined with a partial sealing seal, allowing for only four inches of the metal staff to be revealed.
[*][b]Whip[/b]- She has an 8-foot long leather whip, one foot of which is the handle. A thick, rounded metal handle that juts out of a small pocket on her right outter thigh. The rest of the whip is in the pocket which is lined with the partial sealing fuuinjutsu that hides a majority of the weapon.
[*][b]Leather gloves[/b]- Fingerless thick leather gloves that don't provide much in the way of defending against impacts, but are useful in allowing Zai to touch blades without immediately being cut. Of course, this pretty much only protects her hand when touching a blade that isn't moving fast or strong enough to cut through leather.
[*][b]2x Wrist launcher[/b]- An angled blade with one sharp point and three inches of blade curving back on both sides. This almost boomerang-shaped blade is attached to the back of her leather gloves and can be launched with a speed and strength of 25 by performing very specific muscle flexing through the Advanced Flex technique.
[*][b]Rods[/b]- One foot long with a 10 cm diameter, these are small but dense and heavy cylinders. Zai uses them in place of her arrowheads for non-lethal attacks. They distribute all the force of a regular projectile but very little penetrative ability. [list]

Zai has had an eventful life, and it started from about as low a point as one could in any of the great villages. An untouchable of Kirigakure.

Her father was once a rich merchant who long ago succumbed to his addiction to gambling and alcohol, taking him from one of the richest merchants within his province and a valuable source of income within the Karagata family to a discarded and forgotten thief. His income came almost entirely from cons and thefts. He was surprisingly a good thief and con-man, having plenty of skill and charm. His success was irrelevant, however, as any income was immediately turned into wasted outcome.

Her mother was a prostitute that was also officially an untouchable, so her clientele was limited. Zai's father had been a client of hers, but she refused to give up the child when she was accidentally impregnated. Her father was not a fan of the obligation, but allowed it in exchange for having a relatively attractive sex toy as well as a potential source of income in the future, and that's exactly how he treated his "wife" and daughter.

From the moment she could first form sentences, Zai was both remarkable and rebellious. she was essentially raised by her mother who tried her best, and the incredible amount of misfortune and suffering around her. Since she was first able to move or speak in defiance of her father, she did and was beat mercilessly for it. Her mother received a similar fate, with the added bonus of being consistently raped. It changed the two of them, making Zai angry and her mother focused on survival. She drilled the concept of self-preservation into her daughter, hell-bent on ensuring the world would never break her the way it had done to her.

By the time Zai was 10, she could already steal just about anything within grabbing distance without anybody noticing. She had decided at 7 that she could not depend on the income of her mother, and she was definitely not going to put herself in her father's debt. Her ability to detect and see through bullshit was impressive even for an adult's standards, and she had absolutely no patience for oppressors or authority. Even so, she was not at all ready for the day her mother died at the hands of her father. She was far more mature and strong than anybody her age, but seeing her mother beaten to death during a drunken rampage and then seeing her father not brought to justice broke her. What she had left of her childhood died on that day, along with both her parents. Her father was awoken for a brief moment that night, just long enough to see his daughters eyes staring down coldly at him while the sharp pain of a penetrating knife clawed its way up from his jaw until he was gone.

The next few years contibue to be a blur for her. She had nobody in her life any more and had only one goal: survival. She taught herself how to stay hidden, how to take advantage of her size, appearance and intelligence to one-up stronger and more dangerous clients. She would go a whole day picking peoples pockets and breaking into their homes to steal things, and never have a single interaction. She learned very early on how to disappear and get what she wanted.

At the age of 15, she managed to pick the pocket of a Jounin that was on assignment in the area. The jounin didn't notice the theft itself, but almost immediately noticed the lack of the jingle that had previously been there. Noticing just in time to watch her carefully and subtly sneak off, the Jounin chased after her. To his surprise, the young untouchable gave him an incredibly difficult chase that resulted in him having to use sensory to find her hidden in one of her many spots, bewildered she was discovered.

The jounin was beyond impressed. Untouchable or not, he recognized her potential and figured the social ramifications would be worth it if she became a shinobi that brought pride to his family. It'd also be a lie if he didn't admit something about the wild, viscious look in the girl resonated with him, making him want to help. So after much convincing of both Zai and academy and village officials, Zai w as adopted into the family that her father had previously been adopted into as well.

While she was far from a team player, the girl was unleashed at the academy. She immediately fell in love with Taijutsu and just as quickly made it clear why she had been accepted into the academy. Less than a year into her studies and she was blowing away the competition, even her upper classmen, when it came to taijutsu. She picked up styles with ease and immediately set to personalizing them, creating her own variations. Her ability with ninjutsu was also above average, but it didn't interest her, not nearly enough as the phsyical arts. It was the first time she was able to relieve stress and have fun at the same time, and she spent as much time as possible practicing.

Graduating the academy with ease, she very quickly rose through the shinobi ranks. Her ability with taijutsu only increased and grew more ruthless, leading to her creating her own style of assassination techniques that impressed even those whose job was primarily asassination. She was quickly growing into the ideal Kiri shinobi, especially now that she was taking an interest in ninjutsu. Having realized the power it could grant her, she began dedicating more of her time to it on top of her taijutsu.

Quickly, the village promoted her to special jounin tasked with hunting down targets and killing them. She not only did well, she flourished. Her name immediately rang through relevant circles and she quickly became known as a rising star and exemplary Kiri shinobi. She was treated better, approached by shinobi and citizens alike positively and frequently praised by her superviors.

Yet all the while, the girl was never satisfied. Her instinct for self-preservation had grown to one of self-determination. She had no friends, no significant others, no family. The jounin that effectively adopted her learned immediately that she would not be raised by him or anybody else. She rarely slept in a bed and almost never in the house she had been allowed to live in. She popped in out of a responsibility to the man that changed her life, but they had little more than a casual rapport and he was the only person she spoke to at all in a non-professional setting.

Her dedication to her training was primarily for her self, to ensure that nobody could ever put her in the position her mother was put in. She refused to be weak enough to allow any entity to control or limit her. As soon as she became a special jounin, she barely spent any time in the village, returning only when required. She was referred to frequently as the killer cat of kiri, by those not great at making nicknames, for her tendency to just quietly show up and leave, avoiding contact with just about everyone along the way.

The longer she spent outside of the village, the more she learned that what was normal in Kiri was very much not in the rest of the world. She learned that some places were much worse off, with people suffering for what seemed to be such easily solved and stupid reasons. Then she learned that Kiri's cruel caste system that was ultimately responsible for her childhood was not at all a normal at not at all a necessity, and for the first time she turned from ambivalent about her village to resentful. Her resentment grew with each visit back, and each interaction she hd with other countries did the same for her with the entire world.

It was all so stupid. The usually logical, apathetic and cold Zai was slowly plunged into bitter resentment and anger, which she did not handle well. Her obsession for strength only grew and she gave herself the goal of becoming the most powerful person in the world, destroying anything and everything that got in her way. She wanted the power not only for full independence but to be able to destroy any of the institutions she deemed stupid, which was most of them. Eventually, she just stopped returning to the village entirely.

She created created an organizaion of missing ninja, promising them protection and brotherhood in exchange for their contribution of strength. She aimed to create her own army, further securing her independence and giving her the tools to do what she wanted. In the proccess, she discovered the existence of Jikukan and immediately decided she had to have it. She chased down all leads for information on the style that she could find, with each of them either leading nowhere or resulting in assistance that wasn't sufficient. She couldn't learn it just from snippets of information, demonstrations and rumors, which would normally be enough for her to reverse engineer anything. The style was too complex and her mastery of ninjutsu was lacking, so se studied and she pursued. She needed a teacher, so she improved her ninjutsu and hunted down the first Jikukan user she could find.

Almost immediately, realizing how much of a threat the woman was, her target threw her into his personal realm. He was far weaker than her in all respects except for his knowledge of ninjutsu and Jikukan, which really only made im able to lock her way, not strong enough to defeat her. She was a constant drain on his already weak stamina for two years. His plan to grow strong enough to defeat her held a serious flaw: he could only train slowly, lesst he deplete his stamina and let her escape, but she was unencumbered with nothing but time.

Zai took the two years to train in a new way: mentally. Her prolonged solitude left her no choice but to either go insane or look inward. It was the most personal development she had ever experienced and by the end of it, she was practically a new woman. Her ruthlessness was there, but it was directed now. Her hatred for the systems of the world changed from a desire for anarchy and destruction to a desire for a new world order with her a the helm. Her fighting abilities became more crisp, precise and thoughtful,, straying from the brutal and primal nature it previously had. Those two years honed her edge, she was almost thankful.

As her control over chakra and her own body grew, the hold her captor had on her weakened. He could tell she was growing stronger and eventually had no choice but to hire a team of missing ninja to help him go into his realm and kill her. He severely underestimated just how much stronger she had gotten, getting him and four other b-ranked missing ninja killed, releasing her back into the main realm.

Escaping before it all crumbled behind her, Zai was now ready to take on the world. Quickly, she began searching for her old organization recruits as well as looking for new ones. Having formed a small team, she has begun the first stage of her plan: taking control of Juu no Kuni. It was less than four months between her escape and her building of a base within the country, she has a plan and no intention of going slow. The world was just waiting for her to fix it.[/i]

By focusing her attention, Zai is able to hear certain keywords while listening to multiple people speak. This technique doesn't let her drown out any other voices, but it allows her to know which direction/source the voice that uttered her targeted keywords.

Strike Gauge
D-ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Whenever striking an opponent with a part of her body, Zai is able to tell how much force she actually delivered. Meaning if the opponent managed to slightly block or evade the attack in some way, the response she would feel in the attacking limb would tell her just how much force she managed to inflict.

Projectile Ear
D-ranked Taijutsu Discipline
After a lifetime of practicing taijutsu and specifically with projectiles, Zai's become adept at understanding the sounds objects make while cutting through air. This technique doesn't improve her ability to hear or locate projectiles coming towards her, but instead allows her to have an idea of the size and speed of the projectile based on the sound it creates so long as it's within a 5 meter diameter.

Scent lock
D-ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Pushing her physical ability to smell as well as her memory and focus to a new level, Zai is able to recognize any scent that she's smelled before so long as she's within range to be able to smell it in the first place. This technique doesn't locate the scent, but allows her to smell it above all other scents while also recognizing what the scent belonged to last time she smelled it.

Shadow of the Tail
C-ranked Taijutsu Discipline
If being followed by somebody with a lower average between instinct and taijutsu, Zai can get the feeling she's being followed even if she can't see the individual. For this to work, the stalker must follow her for at least one post (or an in-character equivalent amount of time). The technique works on a subconscious level, picking up clues from the tiniest factors like crowd patterns, reflections, movements of particles in the air and on the ground, etc. Things so minute she can't pick out normally, but her sub-conscience can. This technique only tells her she's being watched and a very vague general direction.

Advanced flex
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Through her intimate knowledge of her body, she is able to flex any muscle. This doesn't have many practical effects, but she uses it for unique launching mechanisms attached to her body and outfit.

Emptying of the mind
C-ranked Taijutsu Stance
After years of practicing her meditation, Zai is now able to completely calm and quiet her mind. This technique doesn't have many practical purposes but is useful against those that read minds and can be blocked through will and imagination. Constantly aware of her own body and movements, Zai always knows exactly what movements she has made throughout the battle and is able to replicate them perfectly. This technique is useful when she has discovered a battle strategy that is effective against an opponent and wishes to replicate it.

Exercising her control over her body as well as her experience with meditation, Zai is able to appear to be dead. She slows her breathing and pulse to such a point that even direct contact with her would indicate she was dead to those without a more advanced method of checking for life. Her heart pumps blood and her lungs move air once every four posts for up to eight posts.

C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Knowing what physical attributes are examined to test if somebody is lying, Zai is able to appear to be lying and attempting to hide it. She can manipulate her heartbeat, sweat and temperature as well as making the proper body language and eye movement to subtly indicate to a professional that she's lying. To see through this technique, opponents require an instinct higher than Zai's.

C-ranked Taijutsu Stance
With the intention of hiding her true strength, Zai is able to hold herself back well enough that she can lower what her stats appear to be. By consistently running and responding slower, for example, she can convince her opponents she has lower speed. By pulling her strikes and overreacting to damage, she can also lower her perceived strength and stamina. To see through this technique, opponents require a [Taijutsu+Instinct]/2 greater than Zai's.

Mouth-breather
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Through extreme breathing control, Zai makes ensures no air enters her nostrils. To accomplish this, she breathes normally through her mouth while also constantly releasing a small stream of air through her nose, pushing away at any air trying to enter. This jutsu does not do much more than prevent any particularly offensive odors or particulate from entering her nose.

By manipulating the muscles in hear hears and focusing, Zai is able to expand the strength of her hearing. This technique allows her to boost her hearing threefold, making both close and far away noises louder. This does leave her susceptible to being injured by any particularly loud sounds, however. It also allows her to hear whispers up to 20 meters away.

By manipulating and focusing on the insides of her nostrils, Zai is able to smell three times better than before. This enhanced sense of smell allows her to pinpoint what direction smells are coming from as well as detecting faint smells up to 20 meters away. This technique does leave her susceptible to being overwhelmed by particularly bad smells, however. To perform this technique, Zai needs to be standing still and focusing on her sense of smell.

Organ Check
B-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Zai uses this jutsu on individuals with particularly unique anatomies. By slapping them powerfully either on the back or chest, Zai can get a feeling for what's going on within the target's body. This doesn't give her any physiological information, but it does tell her the location and size of everything that's within the target's body, such as their organs.

By pushing her hearing and her concentration to the outer limits, Zai is able to get a fairly accurate idea of who's around her. She listens for voices, parts of the body touching each other while moving, the sound of a body moving through the air, hearthbeats and even internal body functions like a gurgling stomach to locate the targets around her. This technique lets her know the exact locations of the people up to 5 meters way from her, but only the general direction and number of sources for up to 15 meters away. This technique does require extra focus to perform and as such, she is incapable of performing any ninjutsu while the technique is active.

Zai can use this technique to tell if a target is lying. To be performed accurately, she needs to have her finger on the target's pulse and have a good line of sight on them. After asking a question, she is able to watch the target's body language, body temperature, pulse and perspiration to know if he's lying. Targets with a greater or equal [Taijutsu+Instinct]/2 than her are able to fool her.

When desired, Zai can manipulate her body's movements to make her harder to track when moving at full speed. By keeping her body far more compact and minimizing the amount of time spent not continuously moving, she makes it more likely that an on-looker couldn't make out her movements. Those with an (Instinct+Taijutsu)/2 lower than her speed will be incapable of properly tracking where she is and what body parts are moving, mostly looking like a big blur when spotted. The smaller the difference between the two, the less blurry it is.

Reallocating some of the mental energy she subconsciously dedicates to manipulating her body, Zai is able to temporarily boost her instinct. For the duration of this technique, she loses 9 strength but gains the same amount in instinct. This technique lasts up to four posts and can be deactivated at any time.

After years of practicing, Zai has mastered the ability to mimic virtually anybody. By watching her targets, she is capable of perfectly mimicking any mannerisms, vocal tones and idiosyncrasies that she witnesses. This jutsu is passive during the observation stage, in that she's naturally observing everyone around her and catching all of the subtle things that would sell the act if she were to pretend to be them. Generally, if she's heard somebody say around a paragraph's worth of dialogue, she can mimick their voice to say anything, but it's risky since they may have unique pronunciations and mannerisms when saying things Zai didn't hear them say.

Focusing her concentration and energy into her reflexes and muscle memory, Zai is able to draw the very best out of her physical combat abilities. The focused concentration increases her reflexes and motor skills temporarily, improving her taijutsu by 9. This requires a great deal of control and focus, making it impossible for her to perform any new genjutsu, as well as losing 6 instinct.

Steel Flex
B-ranked Taijtusu Stance
By focusing her strength and flexing all of the muscles in an area at the same time, Zai is able to exert her full endurance on one location. Her muscles become as durable as materials made of 3/4 her strength stat. Meaning blades would cut the overlying fat and skin, but would feel like it had hit metal (depending on her strength stat) once it hit her muscles.

Finger Daggers

By performing steel flex and hardening the muscles in her fingers, Zai is able to use her fingers like weapons. She has to move at a speed and strength high enough to penetrate a material despite not being sharp. Additionally, her bones are still just as strong as before, so impact with a stronger surface or force may cause damage.

By focusing all of her energy away from her speed-related muscles to her strength related muscles or vice versa, Zai is able to transfer up to 12 stat points from speed to strength or vice versa. The transfer happens almost instantaneously and lasts for up to 7 posts. Any increase in one of the stats, will cause an immediate equal debuff on the other. Once the technique ends, it can not be performed for another 2 posts and results in -2 to both speed and strength for the next 2 posts.

Using the principles of echolocation, Zai is able to get a fairly accurate read of her surroundings by sending out a quick chirp reminiscent of a bird. Using the sound of the chirp bouncing back to her ears, she's able to almost immediately tell what's around her within a 10 meter radius. This technique only provides her with snapshot pictures and can only inform her of shapes within that radius.

Assassin's Radar
A-ranked Taijutsu Stance
After years of practicing killing in the dark, Zai has perfected the ability to see without using her eyes. So long as she can hear and smell her opponents, she can pinpoint their locations within a 20 meter diameter. She is able to use the delay of sound between ears and smell between nostrils to know the direction, and the intensity of both to know the distance. To perform this technique, she needs to close her eyes to shut off the visual stimulation and is incapable of performing any chakra based techniques while it's active.


Omnipresence

Prerequisite: 34 Speed
By turning her head rapidly every quarter second and responding to what she sees, Zai is effectively able to fight as if she were three people. So long as she's moving at a speed greater than or equal to 10 more than her opponents, she's able to see and react to attacks that are coming from different directions and angles. The speed of her movement makes it look like there are three of her rooted in the same spot, her after images almost seeming like ninjutsu-created appendages and portions of her body. This only works if the targets are at most 180 degrees apart.

Mantis Stance
D-ranked Taijutsu Stance
This jutsu is the primary form Zai takes when using the Executioner's Blade style. In this form, Zai keeps her legs at shoulder-length width, but with one slightly in front of the other. This provides her with stability, but at the same time grants the freedom to move back and forth easily, allowing her to avoid incoming strikes. When in this form, her hands are kept up, her hand only slightly curled into a very loose fist, allowing her to easily transition between fast slapping motions, precise pokes and powerful punches.

Sly draw
D-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
After years of practice, Zai has mastered the ability to draw her hidden weapons more fluidly. By knowing where they are and being so familiar with her weapons, Zai can easily draw without having to stop to pull them out. In one fluid motion, even while performing another task with the same hands, she can easily slide a hidden weapon into her grip and be able to immediately use it. This technique is usually used during surprise attacks or quick combination strikes.

Pressure Strike
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Zai can strike various pressure points on the body to hit sensitive areas. This technique makes it so for the next 3 posts, a poke produces the same amount of pain as a powerful punch. While this jutsu itself can cause the opponent quite a bit of pain, this technique can't be used to do anything otherwise, such as freezing up parts of the body or causing spasms. This technique is even more effective and painful if Zai uses a weapon, but completely ineffective unless she can strike at least three pressure points.

Floating Snap
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body's weak points, Zai can strike the opponent's lower ribs with her fist (more commonly known as the "floating ribs") and can easily cause them to fracture. If Zai's strength is 5 or more higher than the enemy's, the rib completely breaks instantly, otherwise, the ribs only completely break after enough repeated successful strikes. This jutsu is often used on stronger opponents while using other Executioner's Blade jutsu, as she can switch between fast combination strikes to delivering a powerful punch when the opportunity presents itself.

Achille’s hurdle.
D-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body’s weak points, Zai can make it so targets feel pain whenever they walk. By very accurately impaling a target in their Achille’s tendon in a perfect way, Zai makes it so the target feels a strong pain each time they move the tendon. The impaling object can be easily pulled out but while it’s in the tendon, it proves to limit movement a good deal, seeing as how painful movement becomes. The target of this technique, if properly struck, loses 1 speed and experiences a strong pain every time they put weight on that foot. The larger the penetrating weapon is, the worse the pain becomes. This jutsu lasts for as long as the object is in the heel.

Cracked Support
D-Rank Taijutsu
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body's weak points, Zai can target the opponent's legs with a damaging strike. Zai can kick the side of the knee, striking a pressure point that can cause the knee to buckle and fracture. While this can cause significant pain, this will by no means debilitate the joint or cause it to stop functioning properly unless used multiple times on the same spot.

Limb Yank
D-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
By grabbing an opponent’s limb and pulling sharply, Zai can pull the limb out of its socket, thus dislocating it and causing a great deal of pain. This jutsu works better if Zai manages to use leverage, such as pulling the arm with one hand while pushing against the target’s body with the other. Without leverage, this jutsu only works on those with 3 less strength than her. With proper leverage, this jutsu can also work on stronger targets.

Throat punch
D-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
A simple but effective jutsu where Zai literally punches the target's throat. This will impair the target from breathing for at least three posts, thus making talking also impossible. Many times, this is the first move used in an executioner's blade jutsu combination, as it silences the target quickly while allowing for rapid follow up strikes.

Sly hands
c-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
A technique known to most assassin's and thiefs, Zai has mastered the art of pickpocketing and sleight of hand. She is able to utilize distractions (such as bumping into somebody or making them look elsewhere) along with very quick and nimble hands to steal things without people noticing. With this jutsu she can easily take objects out of, or put them in to, a target's pocket. This does not work on people that have a (taijutsu+instinct)/2 greater than her (taijutsu+speed)/2.

Assassin's Roll
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
After years of experience and training, Zai has mastered the art of falling in a way that not only doesn't hurt her, but also makes practically no sound. Upon landing, Zai will immediately break into a roll, causing the force to be distributed more slowly and more equally through her legs. This allows her to land from falls of up to [Taijutsu/2]*5 meters without hurting herself. Additionally, the same principle that saves her ankles from breaking also causes less noise to be created, making landings with this jutsu (so long as the height wasn't too high) virtually without sound.

Puppet limb
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: Karambit
When blocking a hand or foot strike with her hand, Zai can curve her karambit so that the curved edge hooks onto her opponent's wrist or ankle at a slight angle. This angle makes it so that at most, she'll cause a shallow cut, but allows her to pull the opponent's ankle/wrist downwards, opening them up for further attacks. If, in the process of pulling the limb downwards, she manages to alter the angle of her hand, she can cause a deeper cut.

Shadow Walk
C-ranked Taijutsu Stance
Through years of practice, Zai has perfected the art of following a target. She has learned the full limits of a human's optical range and followed targets through countless different situations. With this experience, she is able to follow almost anybody without so much as giving them the "feeling of being watched." This technique mostly accomplishes this by avoiding reflections, always remaining out of sight even if it's just in the corner of the person's eye, never being seen twice unless under a different disguise, and ensuring that she doesn't attract attention from others, even if they aren't the target, for that's another way that the feeling of being watched is brought about. This jutsu of course only works when Zai performs it properly and nothing unexpected exposes her. She also can't perform this jutsu while moving at a speed higher than her taijutsu stat.

Axiliary Strike
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body's pressure points, Zai can manipulate the axillary nerve in a counter attack. When provided an opportunity, Zai attempts to ram her index finger and forefinger into the opponent's axiliary nerve, which is located just above the armpit. This causes the arm to spasm and sends a painful shock up to the opponent's head.

Jaw dislocation
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
By forming a single knuckled punch in a very specific location, Zai can easily dislocate a target’s jaw. The location is directly below the jawline that’s right below the ear. By applying concentrated force through a single knuckled punch, the targets jaw can be instantly dislocated. This jutsu works immediately on those that are weaker than her.

Sleeper hold
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
By wrapping her arm around a target’s neck and squeezing tightly, Zai can knock them out. The squeezing of the neck stops the blood flow to the targets head and if held for a full post, will knock out any targets with a stamina lower than 25. Targets with stamina between 26 and 40 require 2 posts, and those with 40+ stamina need to be choked for three posts before they'll knock out

Foot stomp
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
A simple but effective jutsu where Zai stomps onto the targets foot in an attempt to break it. This jutsu is delivered by slamming Zai’s heel onto the arch of the target’s foot, instantly breaking it if she's strong enough and the conditions are ideal. If the opponent is stronger, Zai will have to perform repeated strikes on the exact same spot to cause it to break. If Zai uses a weapon to perform this technique instead of her foot, she requires less force to break the foot.

Golgi Break
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body's pressure points, Zai can cause one of the four major joints to break violently. Zai strikes the opposite side of golgi tendon in the inside of the target's knee or elbow, possibly severing the tendon itself and disabling the arm or leg completely. If Zai uses this correctly and exerts enough force while pulling one end and striking the middle, she can even break the limb.

Weapon gravity
C-rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: Karambit
When locking weapons with an opponent while using her karambit, Zai will hook the karambit around the weapon and pull it in a direction she desires. This allows her to immediately switch from a block to a counter attack, as the opponent is temporarily open.

Chest Lock
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body's pressure points, Zai can cause the opponent's upper torso to constrict. By striking the pressure points below the back of the ribcage, Zai can cause the respective side of the opponent's upper torso to lock up, restricting their movement for the next four posts and resulting in -2 Taijutsu for the remainder of the next two posts. Because of the area of the body it affects, it will also negatively affect the opponent's breathing.

Preemptive strike
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
This technique allows Zai to diminish the force of an incoming strike, as well as allowing her to transition quickly from defense to offense. Whenever an opponent winds up a kick or a punch, Zai rushes forward and hits the limb with anything she can. The objective is to interrupt the attack before it's actually fully released (as the force of a strike comes afterwards, when the limb is extended fully and the attack is followed through). This causes these attacks to have a drastically diminished strength. This is mostly used during fast exchanges so that Zai can practically neutralize a target's attack while also temporarily tying down an attacking limb and getting her closer to the opponent.

Speechless
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: 20 strength
Through great accuracy and skill, Zai target’s a persons’s voice. By slamming two fingers in the proper location, Zai damages the already sensitive vocal cords, paralyzing them and making the target in capable of anything other than breathing. The strike is not enough to cause damage to anything else, however. This lasts until the target receives medical attention. This technique can also be performed with weapons and at a distance with projectiles, but it would cause the target to be incapable of breathing as well.

Collapsed Tunnel
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
By striking a target’s wrist expertly, Zai hits the median nerve and its surrounding nerves. The strike causes the target momentary numbness and lack of control over all of their fingers except their pinky, making grasping or holding onto anything tightly impossible. This only lasts for a brief moment, however. If she performs this technique with a blunt weapon, such as the hilt of her karambit, this effect lasts until the end of the opponent's post.

Ranged Death
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: projectile weapons
This jutsu is simple but requires years of training and practice. After familiarizing herself so well with the Executioner's Blade jutsu, she is able to turn any of her assasin's strike jutsu that use bladed weapons into a ranged attack. She merely has the same target, but using a projectile weapon. The result of this jutsu is that she can have the effects of other Execuioner's Blade jutsu using her projectiles, but of course, these are easier to evade.

Rising death
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: Assassin's roll, bladed weapons.
After performing the assasin's roll technique and rolling towards a target, Zai will time it just right so that she ends the roll by leaping up suddenly. Meaning that the moment she finishes rolling, Zai will leap upwards with basically no transitional period. As she does so, she can slash at an opponent with the bladed weapons in her hands, allowing her to combine this technique with other jutsu. Most frequently, this is combined with Femoral Slice when dealing with front facing opponents and Golgi Slice when dealing with opponent's not facing her.

Opening block
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: Karambit
Whenever an opponent strikes with a weapon or a limb at the proper angle, Zai can hook her karambit around the weapon/limb and pull it diagonally downwards towards the proper side. As she pulls the hooked weapon/limb, she also swivels on the balls of her feet and turns her body at full speed, aiming to strike the target with her free hand. This jutsu is effective because targets are usually open after having their weapon/limb pulled and the spin happens quickly enough that even those that are significantly faster than her have trouble reacting in time.

True sight
B-ranked Taijutsu Discipline
So long as some of a target's relevant muscles are visible while they're launching a strike, Zai is able to tell if they're about to feint. By watching what muscles are being tensed, she can see if the target is preparing to pull into a different direction, giving her a split moment's prediction which is often more than enough to give her an advantage in battle.

Occipital Slumber
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body's pressure points, Zai can cause the opponent to black out. By striking the opponent's head on the occipital ridge (where the base of the skull meets the spine), Zai can cause the opponent's senses to dull and make it so essentially all of their senses are halved in strength. (Blurry vision, poor smelling/hearing/tasting ability) This effect lasts for 3 posts. If she uses this technique on those that aren't as durable as she is strong, she can usually cause the targets to fall unconscious at the end of the post they were struck. If fighting stronger opponents, Zai can strike repeatedly to be able to induce the same effect. Targets will remain unconscious until woken up, essentially as if they were asleep.

Assassin's sprint
B-ranked Taijutsu Stance
After years of training and experience, Zai has mastered the art of running silently. By switching between running on the balls of her feet and distributing weight through the surface of her foot very carefully, like when rolling to distribute force, Zai is able to run without making a sound. She can only do this if she's moving at a speed equal to or lower than her taijutsu stat, however.

Impact domination
B-ranked Taijutsu Stance
After years of taking beatings as well as giving them, Zai has developed a master understanding of force and impact. Through this knowledge, she can cause strikes delivered to her body to be cause far less damage by moving with the attack and ensuring that most of the opponent's attack's force is avoided or absorbed more slowly. This is done in a variety of ways, such as jumping up when being pushed or being struck with an open palm, causing her body to be sent flying easier, but less of the force is distributed to her body. Or when dealing with a strike like a punch to her side or to her face, she can turn along with the punch, causing only a fraction of the strike's force to actually hit her. This technique can cause strikes to be extremely weaker than they were originally intended to be. While this works for the force behind cutting/piercing attacks, it does nothing to stop the cutting/piercing itself.

Femoral slice
B-ranked Maneuver
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body's pressure points, Zai can cause the opponent to bleed out through their femoral artery (inner thigh) with just a slight wound. By aiming expertly at the target's femoral artery and making a hole as small as a kunai's or karambit's tip, Zai can puncture the artery. Because it's an artery, the puncture instantly increases in size by itself and blood gushes out. Targets struck by this jutsu will last [target's stamina]/5, with a minimum of 1, posts before falling unconscious. Targets will remain unconscious until healed, and if they continue to bleed out for an additional [Target's stamina]/3 posts, they will die. If combined with another similar blood loss jutsu, the post count until the target knocks out and until the target dies is lowered by 1 for each additional jutsu, with a minimum of 1.

Carpal Rift

Using a bladed weapon, Zai creates a gash through the target’s wrist, specifically aiming for the target’s median nerve and surrounding tendons. If succesful, the target loses control and feeling over all of their fingers other than their pinkies. This effect lasts until healed.

Discombobulate
B-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body, as well as her very fast Executioner's Blade style, Zai slaps the opponent's ears powerfully with a well-aimed open palm. This attack can be performed with just one or with both ears. When struck, the opponent becomes temporarily dazed with their vision becoming blurry and their hearing sounding like they're underwater. Additionally, their balance is thrown off and they're treated as -3 taijutsu and -3 Instnct for 6 posts. If this is done on only one ear, target's only experience balance issues when moving the side of the body that was struck.

Carotid Slice
B-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body's pressure points, Zai can cause the opponent to bleed out through their neck with just a slight wound. By aiming expertly at the target's carotid artery and making a hole as small as a kunai's or karambit's tip, Zai can puncture the artery. Because it's an artery, the puncture instantly increases in size by itself and blood gushes out. Targets struck by this jutsu will last [target's stamina]/5, with a minimum of 1, posts before falling unconscious. Targets will remain unconscious until healed, and if they continue to bleed out for an additional [Target's stamina]/3 posts, they will die. If combined with another similar blood loss jutsu, the post count until the target knocks out and until the target dies is lowered by 1, with a minimum of 1.

Achille’s Slice.
B-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: Achille's hurdle
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body’s weak points, Zai can make it so targets are incapable of manipulating their ankle. By using a bladed weapon to slice a target's achille's tendon, the user makes it so the target can no longer control the up and down movement of their foot. They can still stand, although any pressure on the foot would cause pain, but they will be unable to do more than waddle.

Golgi Slice
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: Golgi flex
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body's pressure points, Zai can cause one of the four major joints to stop functioning completely. Using a bladed weapon, Zai can slice at the inside of the knee or elbow, severing the golgi tendon itself and disabling the arm or leg completely. This damage can't be healed naturally or repaired without iijutsu.

Axiliary Slice
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: Axillary strike, bladed weapon
Using her intellect and knowledge of the body's pressure points, Zai can cut the axiliary nerve in a counter attack. When provided an opportunity, Zai attempts to slice her weapon across the opponent's axiliary nerve, which is located just above the armpit. This causes the arm to become paralyzed for the rest of the thread until healed and sends a painful shock up to the opponent's head.

Leaky Faucet
B-rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: Bladed weapon
By creating cuts just deep enough to draw a lot of blood (usually two inches deep), Zai causes the target to lose three physical stamina per post per cut. This stamina drains for up to three posts, at which point the targets blood clots enough to stop bleeding and stamina loss.

Temple strike
B-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
By applying a very concentrated strike to the target’s temple, Zai can very likely knock them out with one strike. The temples are the thinnest area of the skull, and by concentrating all of her strength on this location, Zai causes serious damage. Most people that are weaker than her will be instantly knocked out, while stronger opponents need repeated strikes.

Sternum split
B-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
By applying a very concentrated strike to the target’s sternum, Zai can very likely kill them with one strike. If Zai is stronger than the target and applies a concentrated single-knuckle punch to the sternum, she can usually cause it to break in half while simultaneously pushing against it, actually causing the resulting bones to perforate the targets lungs. If the target is stronger, Zai will have to strike repeatedly to break the sternum.If Zai performs this technique with a weapon, such as the hilt of her karambit, it becomes even easier to break the target's sternum.

Muscle Lock
A-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
with each usage of this technique, Zai may lower a target's speed and strength. By creating a precise two knuckled punch, Zai is able to strike specific abdominal muscles that in turn spasm and swell up, causing the target to lose 3 strength, 3 speed and 3 taijutsu for the next six posts.

Impact Spread
C-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
By opening up her palm when delivering a strike and very carefully rolling the attack through her hand, Zai is able to apply all her force but diffuse it greatly through the target. This results in a strike having almost all of its strength used to push instead of creating an impact. This is mostly used to be able to subdue weaker targets without damaging them too greatly or killing them.

Ranged blast
A-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: 34 speed and strength
By launching a swift strike with all her speed and strength and then pulling back and twisting the limp sharply, Zai releases a blast of raw air and force that can go up to 10 meters. The blast is only the size of her fist and on impact, spreads evenly across the surface. It impacts with a strength equal to half the average between her strength and speed. The point of impact immediately feels like it was hit by a regular bunch by that strength, but the force is then dispersed and pushes the target back an amount of meters equal to half the average of her strength and speed.

Vacuum Pull
A-ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Prereq: 34 Speed and Strength
With an open palm, Zai pushes her hand out with all her strength and speed before suddenly and very sharply pulling it back, the result being that she creates a very temporary vacuum in front of her. This vacuum is 5 meters long, but is only as wide and tall her her palm. On impact, the target feels like the portion that Zai's palm targeted was pulled by a magnet with a force equal to half the average of her speed and strength [/spoiler]

I think I said this before privately, but if your putty has a passive it should be elemental based. There are no ninpou based releases that have passives, and this would set the precedent for that.

So, my biggest concern of course is that this is potentially incapable of breaking. For example, if you had a 30 strength defense, it could successfully block a 50 strength attack, because it only takes half of the damage. Basically, an A rank with a little bit of a prereq could stop the pinnacle of ninjutsu. That seems... yeah.

I feel the need to echo this concern.

As it stands this is simply too OP. But unfortunately I have no suggestions on how to fix it.

I'd say multiple posts actually. In the past, analyzing someone's fighting style and learning how best to counter it has taken multiple posts. I can go pull some old examples of that if you like, but ultimately it shouldn't take you a single post to uncover someone's fighting method and prepare the perfect counter for it.

I just need clarification on something that's not entirely clear in the history, but is sort of implied by that first sentence.

Was she herself considered an untouchable?

If so, then she would have never been allowed into the academy as in Kiri, the untouchable caste are treated as even less than human, left to rot in the slums.
