Form One: Determination

The Seven Styles:
The Seven Sword Styles of Asami are named after seven forms of combat that were used by a swords woman by the same name. Her styles were varied and useful in various situations, although after her knowledge was passed on, few used it as the styles were meant to be used along side specially made blades. Experts however found that the styles worked along side more common weapons, at the price of taking slightly longer to learn for techniques. Regardless, each style was and still is great in combat, and work best when aligned with a user's own personality. Some styles have their own physical requirements, but all styles utilize Sword based Weaponry in Close Quarters Combat. Additionally, every style uses double edged blades.
Determination:
The most basic of the styles and always the first to learn, Determination is a style that is usable by anyone. Even Asami her self commented that: "The Style is simple, and that simplicity is its strength. It allows focus, a slightly improved chance of connecting with one's opponent. It has no other advantages or disadvantages. It is best used when one is either inexperienced or none of their other styles will fit the situation." Any user of the Seven Styles can move back into this style with ease when forced out of any other style, as such this is the learner's first steps into the Seven Styles, and a master's last line of defense. There are no requirements for this Styles other than the three listed above for all styles. Determination based moves, unless stated other wise, are capable of being used while in other forms. The style is also subject to change between users, many creating custom manuevers and stances to fit their own style.

This style requires [CQC] and [Sword Weapons]
Techniques:
*[Determination • Ready Stance]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
A simple stance, where the user spreads their legs evenly, grips their sword in both hands, and facing the opponent side on. The attacks are usually preformed diagonally, as to minimize movement, making it hard for one to loose their footing, while defensively large swipes are used to deflect range attacks, and close range attacks are met with sharp movements to knock the attacking force away. Use of other techniques in Determination do not need this stance, but having the stance makes preforming them easier.

*[Determination • Disarment]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Manuever
The user preforms a slash to knock away a weapon from an opponent's grip. This usually attacks the weapon itself, rarely directly attacking the hand gripping the weapon. Projectiles knocked away more often than not are dented and damaged, while swords and other medium sized weapons are usually knocked a few feet away. Large weapons however only fall at most a foot away.

*[Determination • Medium Sweep]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Manuever
The user preforms a 180 degree slash to cut multiple opponents, causing damage mostly to the front of their upper arms and their chest.

*[Determination • Low Sweep]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Manuever
The user preforms a 360 degree slash to cut at the opponent's legs. This is usually aimed at the tendons, although those with high levels of strength (25+) have been noted to cut the feet from the legs. Those who are cut tend to have their speed reduced (-3) until treated.

*[Determination • Crowd Control]
D-Ranked Taijutsu Dicipline
Users of Style One focus on fighting groups, more often than not moving into the middle of formations and then spinning or sweeping to slash and kill multiple targets at once. To put it simply, users of this style are much more used to fighting groups, and are constantly aware of the location of enemies and their weapons so long as the enemy is within five meters of themselves.

*[Determination • Twisting Slash]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Manuever
This attack is 360-degree turn with a blade, aiming to slash the opponent at the end of the spin. This allows one to increase the deadliness of their strike, essentially doubling the impact once the blade is swung. For those who aren't at the edge of the swing, the attack is as deadly as normal, so this attack also works for forcing opponents away from the user or damaging multiple enemies at once.

*[Determination • Overleap Strike]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Manuever
When an attack is aimed at the user's legs, the user jumps into the air while simultaneiously performing an over head slash. This both aviods the attack, as well as allows one to bring their blade down onto their enemy with great force. The end result usually results in the bones of the shoulder's being damaged, causing attacks to suffer a -2 in strength.

*[Determination • Backlash]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Manuever
Requirement: Crowd Control
A user, sensing an attack from behind and ducking, the user would slash as they spun, usually cleaving into the chest before turning to the direction they were previously facing.

*[Determination • Following Thrust]
C-Ranked Taijutsu Manuever
When two blades lock and are at a stalemate, most fighters withdraw before coming back at a different angle. Knowing this fact, the user will, when the opponent with draw, pull their blade back slightly, before following the opponent's blade and then either thrusting through the saber of the torso. Do to the fact that it, for a second, seems that the user is withdrawing also and the fact that few expect this attack, is a deadly way of fighting in combat.

*[Determination • Leaping Chase]
B-Ranked Taijutsu Manuever
The user, when an opponent it too far away to fight in melee combat, launches themselves towards them, trying to come down on their shoulder with the blade. The user can launch themselves as far as their strength in meters, as well as cause a -3 to strength if they hit the target.

Before I really get into checking this, is this something you are submitting for a character, or something you are submitting to the archives? If you're submitting it to the archives it has to be a full pyramid, so it has to have at least one S rank jutsu.
