- General: Vale is a very mature and discipline shinobi when it comes to his emotions and others. He often holds them back when interacting with most people, only letting the barest hint of what he truly feels appear on the surface. Though not an extrovert, he is averse to social interaction, able to chat easily with others. He is respectful towards both his elders and his superiors, and tries to be amiable with his peers. For him, if there are no problems between them, there is no reason to make any.
He often feels like an outside peering in: his existence as an Akari often draws looks of uncertainty and wariness from those unaccustomed with them, while he himself maintains an even colder relationship with his clan. To this end, he can often be found in the company of only himself.
When it comes to his loyalties, all one needs do is know his epithet to know the truth, "Black Dog of the Akari". More of an insult than a title, Vale has made it clear through his actions and his behaviors that he considers himself a shinobi of Iwa first, and a Akari second, making him a black sheep of the clan, and a dog of the village.
Vale has developed a subconscious fear of death, or more specifically, death from a fellow Akari. The idea of his life being snuffed out, and him being devoured is a nightmare he suffers often, and hopes to never come true. - Hopes/Dreams: To be free of the old ways, To be a shinobi of dependability.

- Combat Mentality:Vale prefers to be in control and aware of his environment at any given time. To that end, he often employs sensory jutsu to gain an advantage of territory, while then using a variety of the trap-based jutsu in order to further coral his opponents. Once done, he often engages at close range, using his shiin in conjunction with his great axe to finish the fight.
