Evasive Maneuvers
A-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite: 34 Instinct
As a result of not being the most physically imposing man, nor a man with much stamina, Shizuo has learned how to adjust to physical combat by avoiding it. In this stance he predicts his opponent’s physical movements by observing changes in their body stance and muscle tension to exploit even slight indications of telegraphed movements. He is also able to predict the movement and trajectory of the opponent’s techniques.

*Fuuinjutsu • Explosive Tag
D-Rank Force Fuuinjutsu
After drawing an 2x5 inch seal formula on a surface the user forms the needed hand seals then touches the seal, arming it with their chakra. Upon being kai'd, the tag releases its stored energy as a D-Rank Explosion of concussive force outward from itself.

D-Rank Storage Fuuinjutsu
After drawing a seal formula on a surface, appropriate in size to the weapon being sealed but no larger than 3x9 inches, the user forms the needed hand seals then may place as many of that singular object into the scroll as desired. When done, the user performs another set of hand seals and touches the seal closing it off as the seal condenses to the shape of the object stored. This seal is the only known sealing applications that allows depth storage and unfortunately this cannot be done at larger sizes. Tools can only be released at a maximum of 10 at a time, and are released with zero force.

*Fuuinjutsu • Tattoo
D-Rank Storage Fuuinjutsu
Developed for clandestine operations originally, instead of using ink and paper, the user draws a seal onto their body the size of the item they are sealing into their body. Upon doing a set of hand seals, the user then slides the item into the tattoo and performs a second seal, causing the seal to go dormant. When kai'd the seal releases the stored item.

*Fuuinjutsu • Air Seal
D-Rank Charge Fuuinjutsu
A truly unique move in that it can be used alongside other Fuuinjutsu, by channeling into their finger as they draw in the air directly in front of them, the user releases raw chakra the lingers for a small amount of time, allowing it to be used as a seal formula. This technique consumes chakra equal to the cost of the technique.

*D-Rank Seal Removal
D-Rank Removal Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: 5 D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user traces the outline of a D-Rank fuuinjutsu. After doing so, the user places their hand over the seal, removing the seal. This does not protect against any traps that may occur as a result of removing a seal.

D-Ranked Charge Fuuinjutsu
After drawing the needed seal, the user performs a single seal and begins speaking into the fuuin. The fuuinjutsu transfers the audio to a linked Intercom fuuinjutsu located within 50 meters.

Prerequisite: Iijutsu concentration
Shizuo draws a small seal on a target. When activated after channeling his chakra, the seal records and transmits the target’s vital signs such as heart rate, oxygen levels, blood pressure, and chakra levels to a Monitor seal.

Secret Message
D-Ranked Augment Fuuinjutsu
Shizuo draws a seal on the outer margins of a scroll or paper. After writing on the paper, the user channels a small amount of chakra to activate the seal. The ink of the message merges with the seal to conceal the words and the seal goes dormant. Once the seal is activated again, the words reappear from the seal.

Soundproofing
C-Ranked Augment Fuuinjutsu
Shizuo draws an array on a surface, usually the wall of a room, and then performs hand seals to activate it. The seal makes the space sound proof, preventing any sounds from within the area to be heard on the opposite side.

*Fuuinjutsu • Secret Seal
C-Rank Augment Fuuinjutsu
After drawing an approximately 1x2 inch seal formula on a targets tongue, the user will chant off a list of words then after forming the needed hand seals touches the seal to activate it. As long as the seal remains on the target’s tongue, their ability to speak those words is removed.

By placing a small seal behind the ear and on the inside of the lip, then channeling a small amount of chakra, the user creates an audio link between themselves and any targets they personally place this seal combination on. While hearing is always active, channeling chakra into the seal allows affected targets to speak, their words being stored and transmitted to the other seals.

C-Ranked Augment Fuuinjutsu
Shizuo places a seal on a tag or directly on a user, then channels chakra to cause the seal to go dormant. Shizuo can later reactivate the seal by remotely activating the chakra, and monitor it using a Monitor so long as it is within 100 meters of the Monitor seal. The seal will alert Shizuo of the Tracker’s location.

*Fuuinjutsu • Four Seal Barrier Formation
C-Rank Charge Fuuinjutsu
After drawing 4 approximately 2x5 inch surfaces, the user forms a set of hand seals arming the tags. When finished, they will place the tags into a square formation up to 15x15 meters in size. After setting the seals in their desired locations, the user may kai any one of the seals at anytime to activate the jutsu, causing a barrier the size of the formation to pop up around the area in-between at a speed of 8. The barrier has a strength of 12.

C-Rank Seal Removal

After performing the correct hand seals, the user traces the outline of a C-Rank fuuinjutsu. After doing so, the user places their hand over the seal, removing the seal. This does not protect against any traps that may occur as a result of removing a seal.

B-Rank Augment Fuuinjutsu
The user will draw a small, 5inch by 5inch seal on their target, completely removing their ability to speak until the seal is removed or deactivated.

Water Wall

Prerequisite: Air Seal
After drawing a seal in the air in front of him, Shizuo forms the needed hand seals and then activates the seal. The seal releases a wall of suiton that is 10 meters long and 7 meters high. It forms at a speed of 18 and has a strength of 22. The wall lasts for 5 posts or until destroyed.

The Grasp of Enera
B-Ranked Augment Fuuinjutsu
Shizuo draws four seals, and then performs hand seals to link them together into a square area no more than 20x20 meters large. Anyone besides the user who enters the area will suffer -3 strength, per post, for 3 posts.

Prerequisite: 30 Control, 35 Instinct, 20 Fuuinjutsu, Receptor Fuuinjutsu
Shizuo draws a large seal containing empty spaces on a surface, and after performing the needed hand seals he activates the fuuinjutsu. He can then place additional Receptor seals within the Monitor fuuin. The Monitor seal allows Shizuo to receive information from up to 10 Receptor seals, and he is able to interpret the seals based on their color, intensity, and pulse frequencies.

Sealed Shut
A-Ranked Augment Fuuinjutsu
This seal is typically drawn on a box, cabinet, or other box-shaped item no larger than 3x3 meters. After drawing the seal Shizuo channels chakra to activate it. The seal adds an additional 13 strength to the object in addition to preventing it from being opened. The object the seal is placed on cannot be opened unless the seal is destroyed or removed.

He has white hair with light grey eyes, a high, narrow nose, and thin lips. The general lack of color in his complexion gives him a rather cold appearance both literally and figuratively. Despite this, he has a gentle face and is considered by some to be handsome. At first glance he seems to be of average build, but he has toned, lean muscles, especially in his arms, shoulders, and torso.

[color=#5C6895][b]Clothing and Accessories:[/b][/color] Shizuo typically wears a thick dark green shirt with 3/4 length sleeves. He often pairs it with a black hooded jacket that stops mid-thigh. The jacket has several pockets: one large pocket on each of his sides, two smaller breast pockets on each side, and two large pockets on the inside of the jacket, one on each side. Shizuo often carries a small black messenger bag filled with some of his equipment. He wears light grey pants and heavy black boots. When on missions in the colder areas, he adds a heavy dark grey coat to his outfit that stops at his knees, and thick, black fur-lined gloves. Shizuo wears a black, beaded necklace known as Envy and keeps it tucked beneath his collar. 

[color=#5C6895][b]Personality:[/b][/color] Shizuo is generally amiable and sociable, and is considered easy to approach. Once he considers someone a friend, he is very open and freely gives advice and suggestions so they may live their best life. He enjoys being out and about in the village, especially at restaurants and taverns. He enjoys a boisterous nightlife, though his daily life is generally much calmer. In between missions, he usually makes time to read and reflect on his ideas regarding strengthening himself, his comrades, and the village as a whole. 

At his worst, he is stubborn and argumentative and steadfast in his opinions to a fault. Shizuo is slow to admit he is wrong and often resents others who point out his flaws and mistakes. He often holds grudges and does not readily give others second chances. In his mind, third chances are out of the question. When making decisions, he tends to focus on the negatives before the positives.

The shinobi loves his village above all else and would do anything to ensure its strength and success. He hopes to increase Iwagakure's influence in neighboring countries and eliminate any opposition or threat to the village's authority. He has a deep resentment that borders hatred for all of Iwagakure's rival villages and would gladly see them all either annihilated or conquered. 

[color=#5C6895][i]Combat Mentality:[/i][/color] Shizuo typically functions as support and rarely, if ever, plays an active offensive role in battle. He focuses on developing a strategy and assists his allies to keep the battle going in their favor.

[spoiler=Historical Accounts][spoiler=Early Life]One year in Rock Country, the first rains of the season signaled the usual annual Nyuubai celebrations and massive caravans of the barbarian tribes from the north traveling south to Iwagakure. However, with the rain came an outbreak of disease that ravaged many of the caravans. One young woman who was nearing the end of a difficult pregnancy became ill as her caravan approached Iwagakure. Despite his reservations about shinobi, the father was desperate to save her and their unborn child. He took her to a hospital run by shinobi and demanded that they save his wife and child. Due to the woman's dire condition, the doctors were forced to induce labor. The child was born extremely pale with wisps of snow white hair, and his cry was weak as he was just as ill as his mother. 

After several weeks in the hospital, the new mother mostly recovered, but the child remained dangerously ill. Convinced the child would die, the parents abandoned the child in Iwagakure and returned to the north with their caravan. One of the baby's many nurses pitied him and charged herself with nursing him back to health. She persevered, and two months after he was born, the unnamed infant was given a clean bill of health. Despite her fondness for the baby, the young nurse was in no position to adopt him. Fearing he would be subject to a difficult life as an abandoned child - or worse, be forced into slavery - she asked two family friends to take him in. The couple, Komiya Satoru and Kikyo, were kind and childless merchants, and they happily took the baby in. They named the baby Shizuo and loved him as their own.

Shizuo was a kind and happy child, eager to learn and explore the world around him. He loved his parents dearly and, as an only child, was given everything he could ever want, if his parents could manage it. Though they were not an esteemed family, the Komiya were well off. Satoru had inherited several ancient family heirlooms that were kept in a large cabinet in the back of their modest home. Shizuo was absolutely forbidden to  touch the items and the cabinet itself.

When Shizuo was seven years old, an unfruitful harvest season left Iwagakure with few supplies to last through the winter. Food was stringently rationed and in the dead of winter, some citizens had reached their breaking point. When Shizuo accompanied his parents to buy what little food they could, a riot erupted, and the family was caught in the fray. The boy cowered behind his mother as citizens fought one another, breaking windows and starting fires in the process. Then, the shinobi of Iwagakure fell upon the rioting crowd and swiftly got everyone under control. Shizuo was impressed with the strength and discipline of the shinobi, and the experience would change the course of his life.[/spoiler][spoiler=Academy and Genin]Days later, the young boy announced he would one day be a shinobi. Worried for their only child, his parents initially refused. But he incessantly discussed his future plans to be like "those super strong guys." Eventually his parents relented and allowed him to enroll in the academy. Life as an academy student was harder than he thought. Coming from a civilian family, he knew nothing of the ninja arts and he struggled with the concept of chakra. But the boy was stubborn, and though he had no talent when it came to elemental ninjutsu and barely understood genjutsu, he refused to give up his goal of becoming a powerful shinobi.

One day after a particularly frustrating day of projectile exercises, a nine year old Shizuo was welcomed by an empty house. The day has been an endless barrage of being incessantly bossed around by both his sensei and classmates and being told he would never be good enough to graduate. Still reeling from his horrible day, he stomped around the house while muttering bitterly to himself about being told what to do. Eventually he found his way to his father's treasured cabinet, and he wrenched it open to have a look at the ancient heirlooms. The inside of the cabinet was covered in intricate black designs, but the Shizuo only admired them for a moment before turning his attention to the items inside.

Impulsively, he reached for one of the smaller items: a wooden box with emeralds embedded in the lid, dotted with what appeared to be faded gold symbols. As soon as his fingers curled around the box, a wave of energy ripped through his body and sent him flying into the wall, and a high, cruel laugh filled his ears as he slipped into unconsciousness. Hours later, the boy awakened in a hospital. His parents were at his side, their faces unreadable, and they said little to him until they returned home. They refused to explain what happened to him but made him promise to never, ever open the cabinet again. Shizuo was frightened by the experience and agreed, but he became obsessed with understanding the box.

Months later, his curiosity got the better of him and while his parents were out, he again opened the cabinet and removed the box without directly touching it. As soon as he closed the cabinet behind him, a chilling whisper filled his ears. Shizuo quickly realized the voice was coming from within the box in his hands. He hid the box in his room and it continued to speak to him, and eventually he began to speak back. Through conversation with the voice, Shizuo learned that it was a trapped spirit and it urged the boy to release him from its prison. The boy, however, was unable to pry the lid open to free it, so he returned it to his parent's cabinet.

From that day on, Shizuo became obsessed with understanding spirits and he dedicated much of his remaining time in the academy to learning tenkujutsu. Since he had little interest in offensive techniques and maneuvers, he also learned iijutsu so he wouldn't be completely useless in the field. He graduated from the academy at the age of twelve.

His life as a genin was largely uneventful. He performed the menial tasks assigned to him and spent his free time studying spirits and, occasionally, secretly speaking with the spirit locked in his parent's cabinet. [/spoiler][spoiler=Chuunin and Special Jounin]As Shizuo became more experienced as a shinobi, he concluded that his talent lied not within being the biggest or the strongest, but supporting those who were. He intensively studied sensory and iijutsu, and by the time he took the chuunin exams, he was skilled with creating strategies and helping his teammate navigate the battlefield. He passed the exams with the other genin on his team and began his career as a chuunin.

As a chuunin, not only did Shizuo improve his skills with tenkujutsu, sensory, and iijutsu, but he also trained his body physically so he wouldn't fall far behind his comrades. By the time he was eighteen, Shizuo had honed his skills and was promoted to special jounin.[/spoiler][/spoiler]

A beaded necklace most often worn around the neck, Envy is a precarious weapon. By snapping the string that holds the beads and channelling chakra through them at the same time these beads quickly increase in size and mass, becoming 18 lbs. each, which float behind and can be controlled by the user. The beads can be controlled as if like a swarm, functioning via the user's 'Envy' weapon stat as the Sync stat. The beads can be destroyed with a strike greater than the weapon stat; however, they can repair themselves, taking [100/'Envy'] posts to repair, rounded up, with a maximum of 7 posts. The beads can only extend up to 20 meters from the user; any further and they immediately return to orbit behind the user's back. These beads all have an almost gravitational like pull to them, pulling things towards them with a strength equal to 3/4 the 'Envy' stat.[/spoiler]

This includes modifying, speeding up, or slowing down the biological processes. Iijutsu is known for it's advanced nature and requires precise chakra control to work effectively. It can be differentiate from normal techniques by the faint light green colour of the chakra used in Iijutsu techniques.[/quote][/spoiler][spoiler=Sensory]
Sensors are shinobi who are able to activate a sixth sense which can locate and read chakra sources. Sensory is advantageous as it allows shinobi to perceive without using any of their conventional senses, which can easily be deceived. Sensors are able to collect a lot of information through the interpretation of this sixth sense.[/spoiler][spoiler=Storage & Force Fuuinjutsu]This user is able to utilize Storage Fuuinjutsu and Force Fuuinjutsu, making it possible for them to utilize any jutsu with the Storage or Force Classification. Storage Fuuinjutsu can be used to store supplies, weapons, armor, or anything in between. Force Fuuinjutsu are used to release, counteract, and capture energy.[/spoiler][spoiler=Charge & Augment Fuuinjutsu]This user is able to utilize Charge & Augment Fuuinjutsu, making it possible for them to utilize any jutsu with the Charge & Augment Classification. Charge Fuuinjutsu are used to create jutsu-like effects using seals. Augment Fuuinjutsu are used to enhance or limit the power of whatever they are placed on.[/spoiler][spoiler=Advanced Channeling]This user has superb chakra control, and has learned to perform jutsu by channeling, without the use of hand seals. The user can channel any ninjutsu that is designed to be channel, and there are no specified parameters in which a jutsu must fall to be channeled by this method. To get this concentration the user must be a Ninjutsu Specialist, and have picked Control as one of their specialized stats.[/spoiler][c]

This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu.[/spoiler][spoiler=Deft Hands]The fundamental skill of [b][Deft Hands][/b] indicates the user’s proficiency with using their hands in very specific and complex movements, like sleight of hand and targeting very small and specific points on an opponent’s body. This facilitates their use of related Taijutsu in various ways.[/spoiler][spoiler=Sword Weapons]The fundamental skill of [b][Sword Weapons][/b] indicates the user’s proficiency with swords and sword-like weapons such as knives, daggers, sword-breakers and the like. Tenkujutsu jutsus fall underneath their own pyramid, and do not have ties to Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, or Genjutsu.[/spoiler][/table]

Having devoted his life to mastering the arts of Ninjutsu, this shinobi is classified as a Ninjutsu Specialist. Ninjutsu specialist are able to devote a total of 10 concentrations to Ninjutsu, unlike most people who are capped at 8. However, they are only able to devote a max of 5 concentrations to Taijutsu, and a max of 5 concentrations to Genjutsu.

The user can determine who has more chakra strength than others, allowing them to pick out possible risks. This technique is not very reliable as a determining factor, however.

A general sense of the direction and number of chakra sources can be determined at about 50 meters. It should be noted that this jutsu requires intense concentration, often making the user shut their eyes so they can focus on the jutsu solely. Even with high levels of Chakra Control and Instinct, this jutsu can be mentally taxing as it requires the user to sort through the individual chakra sources in the sensor’s range.

This means if it’s a projectile, they’ll be able to track and see the projectile in their minds eye. If it’s a fuuinjutsu, they are able to see that a fuuinjutsu is activated, but will not be able to follow the result unless they activate this jutsu again. This jutsu is very effective due to it’s broad mechanic.

As sanitation cannot always be guaranteed in field operations, this technique provides a quick substitute to traditional sterilization methods. This chakra will chew away at harmful bacteria and other foreign bodies on the skin, cleansing it until it is thoroughly sterile, and can be spread to objects, most commonly surgical tools. Of course, this takes both concentration and time, and in order to sterilize the entire upper body, it will take a duration of one (1) post. Users of this technique can also choose to sterilize certain parts of their upper body or the wounds of another person instead for a lesser concentration period. Once they are sanitized, they remain this way until coming in contact with more bacteria.

This highly useful field technique is applied to bleeding wounds to help encourage the coagulation of the blood. Wounds must be dealt with one at a time, and the number of wounds that can be tended to within the three (3) posts that this technique lasts depends on their size. Small wounds take very little time to clot, while moderate wounds take one (1) post of concentration to clot, and large wounds take two (2) posts to clot. Although this technique stops the bleeding, the wound remains vulnerable and will require further care after this has been performed.

Once this is done, the user will lift his/her finger and touch it to the other side of the wound, causing a visible 'stitch' of chakra to appear. This is repeated until the wound has been pulled together. Although precision is key, this technique can still be performed relatively quickly. Small to moderate wounds take very little time to stitch, while large wounds will take one (1) post of work to mend. This technique drains a minuscule amount of chakra from the person it is attached to in order to keep the stitches going, theoretically, ad-infinitum, and can be cancelled at any time by the user with a single handseal. Any intensive or strenuous movements will cause the stitches to break.

As the chakra is channeled into and around the burn, it cools the area and works to prevent harmful, scar-producing blistering in the affected area. To provide this soothing relief to small areas of first degree burns, it's fairly quick to do. For small areas of second degree burns, it takes one (1) post of concentration to achieve the same effects. This technique is ineffective when applied to larger areas or burns worse than second degree.

After channeling chakra into an object (such as a leaf, piece of cloth, etc.), the user is able to apply it to the wound of a patient. Once applied, the selected object will adhere to the flesh around the wound, protecting it from bacteria and other harmful foreign bodies. Objects used for the bandage technique are automatically sterilized in the process. These bandages drain a minuscule amount of chakra from the person it is attatched to in order to keep them stuck on, theoretically, ad-infinitum, and can be cancelled at any time by the user with a single handseal. While not as effective at stopping bleeding as the [Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching] technique, they hold on much better in the case that strenuous movement is necessary.

Using this chakra as an internal extension of his/her hand to feel for abnormalities and other issues, the user is often able to determine the problem after some time and concentration. In order for a thorough examination to provide sufficient answers, the user will focus for up to one (1) post, seeking signs of internal and external damage, organ malfunction and disease among other ailments. Although skilled medical-nin have the possibility to work faster, skill cannot be substituted in for thoroughness.

[i]C-Ranked Ninjutsu[/i]
Often utilized by medical-nin to heal small, superficial wounds or for producing excess skin to use in skin grafts, the [i][color=#008b5e]*[Iijutsu • Skin Generation][/color][/i] technique has its number of uses. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will channel it into a small area of skin cells on the patient's body. This chakra will force the skin cells to multiply at an ample rate by confusing this area of the body into its reconstruction stage that is achieved during slumber. As this is a type of regeneration, users must keep in mind that each cell draws from nutrients in the patient's body, and as such, too much can cause serious harm. In order to regenerate medium-sized areas of superficial wounds, it takes one (1) post of concentration. Areas smaller than this take considerably less time. In the case that the skin sample is separate from the body, the cells can be multiplied more quickly than they could be otherwise. These types of samples are generally use for skin grafts. The [i]*[color=#008b5e][Iijutsu • Skin Generation][/color][/i] technique can be held for four (4) posts.

In the event that a foreign object gets lodged into a patient's body, such as the point of shuriken or a senbon, the [i][color=#008b5e]*[Iijutsu • Removal Technique][/color][/i] can be utilized to retrieve it. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will place them on either side of the wound in question. From here, the medical-nin will carefully manipulate the surrounding tissues by channeling chakra into them, coaxing the foreign object to the surface of the wound in order to extract it. Users of this technique are advised to analyze the severity of the wound beforehand, as more complex wounds will take longer than the one (1) post of concentration needed to extract most objects from superficial to moderate wounds. This technique should be used in conjunction with a tissue regeneration technique or the [i]*[color=#008b5e][Iijutsu • Blood Clot Technique][/color][/i]. The [i]*[color=#008b5e][Iijutsu • Removal Technique][/color][/i] can be held for a maximum of four (4) posts.

In the event that creating an antidote is not possible, users of this technique can still help their patient fight off toxins, infections and other foreign bodies. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will begin to channel it into the patient's body. As this chakra flows into the body, the leukocytes will react to its presence and begin to multiply rapidly. This influx of white blood cells takes one (1) post of concentration to create. Over the course of five (5) posts, the new and old leukocytes are able to fight off poisons that are C-Rank and below that have entered the body. During these final five posts, the medical-nin does [b]not[/b] need to continuously focus chakra into the patient. It will take care of itself at this point.

[b][color=#008b5e]*[Iijutsu • Bone Fracture Technique][/color][/b]

Once the [i][color=#008b5e]*[Iijutsu • Chakra Scalpel][/color][/i] has been activated, users may choose to use this jutsu as an alternative to the aforementioned technique's usual action. When in close range, the user will attempt to jab his/her charged hand at the opponent, seeking to connect with a bone. If successful, the chakra will be released into the opponent's body as a sharp, precise burst to the area of contact, causing the bone to fracture. If this area is struck again in the same spot, the bone will inevitably break. This technique does not harm anything but the bone—not even the skin—and is dispelled after three (3) posts or until contact with the opponent is made. However, since both hands are charged, the user has two chances with this technique per use (one per hand).

A useful, but particularly taxing technique, the [i]*[color=#008b5e][Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique][/color][/i] is performed on poisoned patients. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will make a small incision (with a knife, scalpel, etc.) on the patient and then place his/her hands over the new wound. As this chakra is channeled into the body, it extracts the poison out of it and into the user's palm. After one (1) post of the extraction process, the user will remove his/her hand, and place it over a container of some sort (anything that can bear liquid). From here, the liquid poison will be ejected from the hand along with the remaining chakra that was used to extract it. As this chakra interacts with the poison over the course of a second post, its molecules will be rearranged to form the antidote for the poison in question. This works only on C-Rank or lower poisons. The antidote takes a total of three (3) posts to fully rid the body of the poison.

Once the antidote has been concocted following the description of the [i]*[color=#008b5e][Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique][/color][/i], the user will begin to channel additional chakra throughout the antidote to make it especially potent. This increased potency not only rids the body of the C-Rank or lower liquid poison that was in the body over the (3) posts it takes to work, but also induces an immunity in the patient which lasts for seven (7) posts.

This technique is similar to the Basic Antidote technique in all but the middle steps. After taking (1) post to extract the poison from the patient, Shizuo places it into a container. Throughout a second post, the molecules rearrange to form an imperfect antidote. Once the medicine is injected into the patient, instead of ridding the body of the poison it simply reduces the effects of the poison by one rank, and extends the duration of the poison by 4 posts. This only works on C-ranked and lower poisons.

Perhaps one of the most dangerous and revered Iijutsu honed by medical-nin, the [i][color=#008b5e]*[Iijutsu • Chakra Scalpel][/color][/i] is no precision instrument. After performing the necessary handseals, the user will begin to focus an ample amount of chakra into his/her hands. Once charged with chakra, the user will attempt to place his/her hands on the target. If the user is able to connect the entirety of his/her palm, the chakra will be released into the opponent's body, slicing tissue, organs and veins up to 4 inches from the surface in an area roughly the size of the user's hand. The skin remains unblemished by this technique, as it only causes small to moderate [i]internal[/i] wounds. As this technique is dangerous and mostly uncontrolled, the precision needed to kill instantaneously is lost. The chakra used in this technique is highly visible when first activated and emanates from both hands for a duration of three (3) posts or until contact with the opponent is made.

This handy technique is used in cases where patients have suffered temporary paralysis somewhere throughout their bodies. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will apply them to the affected area and begin to channel chakra through the muscle tissue. As this chakra interacts with the temporarily lame muscle tissue, it will restore natural mobility to the area. Areas as large as an entire limb will take one (1) post of concentration to release, while releasing half the body from paralysis will take two (2) posts, and finally, to undo the entire body from paralysis, it takes three (3) posts of concentration. This technique is only effective on paralysis caused by jutsu or certain poisons.

Although simple to explain, the [i]*[color=#008b5e][Iijutsu • Bone Regeneration Technique][/color][/i] requires both skill and patience in order to mend the fractured or broken bones of patients. After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will begin to channel it through the area of the break or fracture. As this chakra makes contact with the bone, it will stimulate the calcium production of the body and begin to mend the bone. To mend small-to-medium breaks, it takes one (1) post of concentration, while fractures are usually very quick to mend. Multiple breaks can be mended during the use of this technique as it lasts for a total of five (5) posts or until canceled. Users should beware that, like other regenerations of this kind, the nutrient stores of the patient's body are being depleted during its use, and too many uses of this technique in a short span of time can cause serious damage.[/i]

Just as its basic form, the [i]*[color=#008b5e][Iijutsu • Intermediate Antidote Technique][/color][/i] is a useful, but particularly taxing Iijutsu performed on poisoned patients. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will make a small incision (with a knife, scalpel, etc.) on the patient and then place his/her hands over the new wound. As this chakra is channeled into the body, it extracts the poison out of it and into the user's palm. After one (1) post of the extraction process, the user will remove his/her hand, and place it over a container of some sort (anything that can bear liquid). From here, the liquid poison will be ejected from the hand along with the remaining chakra that was used to extract it. As this chakra interacts with the poison over the course of a second post, its molecules will be rearranged to form the antidote for the poison in question. This works only on B-Rank or lower poisons. The antidote takes a total of three (3) posts to fully rid the body of the poison.

Once the antidote has been concocted following the description of the [i]*[color=#008b5e][Iijutsu • Intermediate Antidote Technique][/color][/i], the user will begin to channel additional chakra throughout the antidote to make it especially potent. This increased potency not only rids the body of the B-Rank or lower liquid poison that was in the body over the (3) posts it takes to work, but also induces an immunity in the patient which lasts for seven (7) posts.

Prerequisite: 25 instinct, 25 Control
This technique is similar to the Basic Antidote technique in all but the middle steps. After taking (1) post to extract the poison from the patient, Shizuo places it into a container. Throughout a second post, the molecules rearrange to form an imperfect antidote. Once the medicine is injected into the patient, instead of ridding the body of the poison it simply reduces the effects of the poison by one rank, and extends the duration of the poison by 8 posts. This only works on B-ranked and lower poisons.

When done, the user performs another set of hand seals and touches the seal closing it off as the seal condenses to the shape of the object stored. This seal is the only known sealing applications that allows depth storage and unfortunately this cannot be done at larger sizes. Tools can only be released at a maximum of 10 at a time, and are released with zero force.

Developed for clandestine operations originally, instead of using ink and paper, the user draws a seal onto their body the size of the item they are sealing into their body. Upon doing a set of hand seals, the user then slides the item into the tattoo and performs a second seal, causing the seal to go dormant. When kai'd the seal releases the stored item.

A truly unique move in that it can be used alongside other Fuuinjutsu, by channeling into their finger as they draw in the air directly in front of them, the user releases raw chakra the lingers for a small amount of time, allowing it to be used as a seal formula. This technique consumes chakra equal to the cost of the technique.

Shizuo places a seal on a tag or directly on a user, then channels chakra to cause the seal to go dormant. The seal will alert Shizuo of the Tracker’s location.

After setting the seals in their desired locations, the user may kai any one of the seals at anytime to activate the jutsu, causing a barrier the size of the formation to pop up around the area in-between at a speed of 8. The barrier has a strength of 12.

The [b]Monitor[/b] seal allows Shizuo to receive information from up to 10 [b]Receptor[/b] seals, and he is able to interpret the seals based on their color, intensity, and pulse frequencies.

Through the use of acupuncture and their knowledge of pressure points, the user is able to quickly apply a series of pricks, leaving the needles in, that dulls pain in localized areas of the body, or even the entire body. This method only isolates pain receptors, not other receptors, allowing someone under the effects of this technique to continue to function. The pain dulling effects will last for up to 5 posts, at which points the needles will have to be removed then replaced.

Through the use of needles, the user will target a series of pressure points on a targets back or chest, using it to stun their nervous signals, preventing movement, causing full body paralysis from the neck down in their patient, and dulling all pain receptors as well. While the technique has effective medical purposes, it can also be used in combat. The paralysis lasts for 4 posts, before fading, at which points the needles must be removed and replaced to sustain it.[/spoiler]

This allows the practitioner to accurately target those areas even in the heat of combat.

A unique attack within Yoshin, this particular technique is meant to dig as deeply into the opponent as possible, many times slashing into bones to cause as much long term damage as possible. The depth of the cut can also cause serious blood loss over time.

Aside from causing significant pain, an opponent hit by this technique will have difficulty breathing, causing future techniques they use to take up more physical stamina due to oxygen deprivation.

With a very quick snapping slash or thrust, the practitioner attacks the back of the opponent's weapon-wielding hand or hands. Opponents hit by this technique must have an average of their Strength and Stamina stats, rounded up, higher than the practitioner's average of their Taijutsu and Speed stats, rounded down, to avoid being disarmed or losing use of the affected hand until the end of their next post. This technique is only useful for short term debilitation of the hands and cannot cause any significant long term damage on its own.

While these cuts are not life-threatening, the damaged muscles prohibit the opponent from fully drawing strength from their core and back into their limbs. Aside from causing significant pain, this technique also imposes a persisting -3 Strength penalty on the opponent due to the damage the muscles have sustained. This penalty can be lifted if the opponent receives medical attention.

Dropping low to the ground, the practitioner launches a quick, wide slash to the front of the opponent's shins. The cut targets a long nerve across the front of the shin which, if cut, can restrict the opponent's movements. Considering the size of the nerve being targeted and the relatively thin skin covering it, even cuts that only graze these nerves can be effective. Aside from causing significant pain, this technique also imposes a persisting -3 Speed penalty on the opponent due to movement of the legs becoming more difficult. This penalty can be lifted if the opponent receives medical attention.

Dropping low to the ground and hooking their blade around the back of an opponent's ankle, the practitioner draws a heavy slash against the ankle's tendon, immediately causing a jolt of intense pain. The pain causes even the slightest step to send shocks of pain through the nerve. Aside from causing significant pain, this technique also imposes a persisting -3 Speed penalty on the opponent due to being unable to place weight upon the foot. This penalty can be lifted if the opponent receives medical attention.

This allows the practitioner to accurately target those areas even in the heat of combat.

A unique attack in Yoshin, the practitioner strikes the opponent’s temple with their fist, elbow, or the pommel of their sword’s hilt. The nerve cluster in the temple being struck sends a jolt of intense pain through the opponent’s brain and body, causing severe disorientation, uncontrollable shaking, and severe blurring and distortion of the opponent’s vision. The opponent suffers a -3 penalty to their Taijutsu and a -3 penalty to their Instinct for four posts as the brain must recover from the shock.

Useful both as a counterattack and as a technique on its own, the practitioner targets the weak point of a joint on their opponent’s body, such as under the shoulders through the armpit, into the elbow from the crook inside the arms, or behind the knees, and violently thrusts their sword through it, destroying the functioning tendons, muscles and cartilage of the joint, potentially even ripping the affected bones from their sockets. The damage caused by this technique is often permanent if the opponent does not seek highly skilled medical treatment.
