[The Ishiguro Clan]

History There was a time when the people of the Ishiguro Clan were more of a Nomadic Tribe. In the time of the Genma, when the great spirits roamed free the people of the Ishiguro lived separate from much of the world. They stayed among their own kind in the mountains of what would later become the Lightning Empire, staying in the mountains, the caves, and even forests where they might hide away. As a people that have never been physically imposing in appearance, they have always trained their minds over their bodies and kept much to themselves. Yet as the Genma roamed and they saw the threat for what it was, they also reached out and sought knowledge on the Great Beasts.
It was in their search of knowledge that they began to learn of other nations in their search of things they saw as ‘magic’, things they would later come to learn as ‘chakra’ and over time they experimented with it as well. They had always known they were different from others, and learning of chakra piqued their curiosity, intensifying their own experimentation. They discovered the ways of Wind (Fuuton) and of Lightning (Raiton). They thought they might one day bring storms down on the mountains they lived in but instead something very different happened. One of their members brought down an explosion. And yet in the wake of it there was no physical damage to anything around them, some claimed it had to be a shared hallucination of some kind. Yet damage was eventually found, damage to chakra sources and to people themselves that was only temporary. They tested again and again, soon finding their talents in Denjiton, and the devastating effects it had on chakra itself. They found their weapon against others, and more importantly they felt they had a weapon perhaps even against Genma.
They grew in strength and finally started to leave their own ways of the Nomad, feeling their way out into the world, seeking out the Nobles of their country. They forced their way onto the world stage by helping to bring down the Genma with their arts, and forced their way into the needs of Kumogakure itself by aiding in the capture of the two spirits that would later serve the village.
Given the strength and even danger of their own elemental release however, the Clan itself has sworn itself to the Village as a whole, following the orders of its Raikage and otherwise staying out of politics rather than allowing itself to be used for other gains or as mercenaries. Even when the village expanded into an Empire, the Clan held true to their vows to follow the orders of their Raikage without question.

Traits:
- Hair in shades of Gray, Silver, or White that tends to darken with age (though staying within these shades of color still, never going further than a Dark Gray). Typically kept in a longer style (though not required).
- Eyes in shades of Grey, Gold, or Amber.
- Bodies are typically of a frail body-proportion unless specifically trained otherwise. Whatever muscle mass they do train would be compacted and of a very lean build.
- Wrinkles come early, often as early as around the age of 35.
- Coming of Age - Age 15 - On a Clan Member's fifteenth birthday, a party is held at the Clan Member's home. Every clan member is invited to participate by simply giving gifts that are meant to be a good wish towards the Clan Members future as an adult (The party itself is usually immediate family only due to the way their accommodations are set up). These are typically geared towards the individual's profession. Naturally if the individual is a shinobi these may be in the form of scrolls, weapons, and the like. If those leaving the gifts know of the person's interest or hobbies they may leave items geared more towards those items. If the gifts are coming from individuals who might not be shinobi themselves they may be items from their own trade that are considered valuable as they may not have access to shinobi related items. At some point during the party, the ruling Clan Elder will present the individual (if a shinobi) with the honor of the first bead for their Shinobi Braid (see next tradition for more information).
- Shinobi Braid - Members of the clan who become Shinobi are considered warriors and are both respected and designated separately as such. While having long hair is not required in the clan, members who are shinobi will have a section of hair that is kept longer as a requirement and kept in a braid, referred to as their Shinobi Braid. This braid will be decorated in beads of varying materials and colors to designate achievements through their career and is begun the day the Shinobi comes of age and is presented with their first bead by the ruling Clan Elder. This bead is always Amber in color regardless of what material it is comprised of. This braid is never to be cut, and if it is this is considered a great humiliation and dishonor. However the braid WILL be cut if the member ever goes Rogue/Missing.
If a Rogue Shinobi returns to the village, the braid may be re-earned on a case by case basis which can only be determined by the current Clan Elder (some may be concerned permanently unworthy depending upon crimes committed). Even if re-earned the short length, and lack of beads, of the current braid will be a constant reminder of their past to themselves and others within the clan and will color their interactions with clan-mates for the rest of their life. - Ritualistic Meditation - Members of the Ishiguro Clan believe in more than training the body, but also in training the mind, something that is made more apparent by the clan's typical lack of physical prowess. As a part of this, in addition to regular studies in the sciences and theology, clan members take part in regular ritualistic meditation. Major meditations may last all night or longer after major events such as promotions, deaths in the family, and similar. They also may take part in shorter meditations weekly or even daily as they feel comfortable doing just as a way to feel in balance with their world and their mind, or at peace with themselves and the power they wield. This Meditation is considered key to controlling themselves and their own emotions and mental state, due to the unique strengths of the power they wield.
- As far as Village-Wide Politics go, the Ishiguro typically keep to themselves rather than getting involved in the politics of the village proper. It isn't forbidden by any means, but it current just isn't an interest of the clan except to remain a part of the village and its forces as well as its citizens.
- In Clan Politics, there is a single Clan Leader who runs the clan with a few trusted right hands who advise and work for them. When attempting to Cancel an opponents jutsu, the Strength of the Denjiton jutsu and the Control of the opponents jutsu are taken into account. If the Strength of the Denjiton jutsu is greater than the Control of the opponents jutsu, the jutsu will Cancel. The Control of the opponents jutsu is assumed to be equal to the jutsus rank unless there is a prerequisite on the jutsu for another Control amount which is then used, or if the jutsu is continuously channeled the Control used is the users actual Control. Jutsu and people who are Canceled dissipate into energy or become inert in the case of jutsu while people affected are unable to use chakra but are otherwise unharmed. Denjiton is incredibly difficult to master, takes large amount of control normally and for continuous jutsu larger amounts of chakra than usual per jutsu rank, but has proven itself to be an extremely dangerous element that an completely alter the flow of battle.
Dampen:Requirements:The term dampen refers to using Denjiton to lessen the quality of chakra in a specific area. Jutsu that are dampened lose strength and speed.
- Ishiguro can only learn Raiton, Fuuton, Denjiton, and extensions of the three.
- Ishiguro must have a higher Control than average for their rank at start up.
- Ishiguro Clan Members cannot have Elemental Bodies due to the nature of their Element which would pull them apart if they tried to achieve such a state (Even if that elemental body was not made up of Denjiton itself).

The user does a series of hand seals, focusing chakra on a 2mx2m area within 5m of their body. Anyone who steps on that area will have a surge of Denjiton move through them, causing them to lose 3 control and making jutsu harder to control. This lasts for the next 3 posts.

The user does a series of hand seals, then places their hand directly above a D-rank jutsu, cancelling out the chakra in the jutsu with 5 Strength. Any physical aspects of the jutsu will remain by the chakra effects will no longer exist. This jutsu fails if used on a jutsu that is not D-rank.

C-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, then thrust their hands forward, creating a screen 5m x 5m in size anywhere within 10m of them. Any jutsu that passes through the screen loses 3 speed and 3 strength, and 1 exploding tag worth of power if it explodes.
*Denjiton • Clone Trap
C-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals then focuses chakra on a 4x4m area. If any clones pass through that area a surge of chakra will shoot up and cancel out the clone, and any effects it may have.
*Denjiton • Denjiton Gauntlets
C-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, creating gauntlets of denjiton chakra around their hands and forearms. The user can use their arms as shields, reducing the effect of jutsu they come in contact with (through the gauntlets) by one rank. This allows them to lessen the burns from katon jutsu, or easier to break out of suiton jutsu that capture them.

C-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, and sends forth a pulse of denjiton chakra from their hands that travels at 10 Speed at a range of 15 meters. Any jutsu caught in the denjiton pulse will be assaulted by Denjiton chakra with 10 Strength.
B Rank:*Denjiton • Genjutsu Cancel
B-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, then places their finger to their forehead, charging Denjiton chakra throughout their entire bodies. The process is quick, and will cancel any B-rank or lower genjutsu they're currently afflicted by. This technique causes a -10 in Control and Ninjutsu for 5 posts after use, however, so it is advised against relying too heavily on it.

The user does a series of hand seals, then creates a clone out of chakra beside them. In addition to looking like the user, the clone has the special ability of disrupting an opponent's chakra system for 3 posts upon physical contact. This means that they are unable to cast ninjutsu or genjutsu during this time, however it also dissipates the clone. This clone lasts for up to 5 posts, and has the following stats:*Denjiton • Cancel Armament

The user does a series of hand seals, and then coats a weapon they are holding in Denjiton chakra. This Denjiton chakra will assault and try to cancel any jutsu that the weapon comes into contact with for the next four posts.

A-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, then places a hand on the targets forehead, charging Denjiton chakra into their bodies. For the next 4 posts, the target's tenketsu will be stunned, preventing the flow of chakra. This prevents the target from using any chakra based effects for the duration of the effect. Another person utilizing Kai on the target will kick start their chakra and cancel out the effect, however.
*Denjiton • Cancellation Armor
A-rank Ninjutsu
The user does a series of hand seals, placing their hand on their forehead and focusing chakra around their bodies. The chakra will form a thin, clear armor around their skin. For the next 5 posts, the armor will cancel out the effects of chakra that come in direct contact with their bodies. This allows them to break through barriers, protect themselves from ninpou effects, and otherwise act as a protection from indirect attacks. This armor only serves to cancel. A doton jutsu's chakra would be cancelled, but the blunt force of a rock slamming against them would remain.
S Rank:*Denjiton • Temple
S-rank Ninjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then slowly lift their hands up. A dim haze will fill in a 50x50x20m area in front of them. While it doesn't obstruct vision, the haze remains for 5 posts. While within the haze, all chakra will automatically be cancelled. Those within the haze will feel no ill-effect, but all ninjutsu are cancelled upon creation, often severely limiting the arsenal of many shinobi.
*Denjiton • Creation of a Void
S-rank Ninjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, focusing chakra into a ball in their hands. The user can hold this ball in their hands for up to 3 posts. Whenever ready, the user will throw the ball into the ground. From the point of impact, the chakra will spread over a 50x50m at 35 speed. It will envelop anything it passes over, cancelling out the chakra with 35 Strength, ending any jutsu that cannot resist. Any jutsu without physical form will fall apart without the chakra to support them, and anyone caught within the range, aside from the impact point, will be unable to use chakra.

If the Strength of the Denjiton jutsu is greater than the Control of the opponents jutsu, the jutsu will [b]Cancel[/b]. The Control of the opponents jutsu is assumed to be equal to the jutsus rank unless there is a prerequisite on the jutsu for another Control amount which is then used, or if the jutsu is continuously channeled the Control used is the users actual Control. Jutsu and people who are [b]Canceled[/b] dissipate into energy or become inert in the case of jutsu while people affected are unable to use chakra but are otherwise unharmed. Denjiton is incredibly difficult to master, takes large amount of control normally and for continuous jutsu larger amounts of chakra than usual per jutsu rank, but has proven itself to be an extremely dangerous element that an completely alter the flow of battle.

This allows them to lessen the burns from katon jutsu, or easier to break out of suiton jutsu that capture them.

This technique causes a -10 in Control and Ninjutsu for 5 posts after use, however, so it is advised against relying too heavily on it.

This means that they are unable to cast ninjutsu or genjutsu during this time, however it also dissipates the clone. This clone lasts for up to 5 posts, and has the following stats:

Another person utilizing Kai on the target will kick start their chakra and cancel out the effect, however.

This allows them to break through barriers, protect themselves from ninpou effects, and otherwise act as a protection from indirect attacks. This armor only serves to cancel. While within the haze, all chakra will automatically be cancelled. Those within the haze will feel no ill-effect, but all ninjutsu are cancelled upon creation, often severely limiting the arsenal of many shinobi.

The user will do a series of hand seals, focusing chakra into a ball in their hands. The user can hold this ball in their hands for up to 3 posts. Whenever ready, the user will throw the ball into the ground. From the point of impact, the chakra will spread over a 50x50m at 35 speed. It will envelop anything it passes over, cancelling out the chakra with 35 Strength, ending any jutsu that cannot resist. Any jutsu without physical form will fall apart without the chakra to support them, and anyone caught within the range, aside from the impact point, will be unable to use chakra.[/quote]
