Cell conversion chakra, (or Metaplasia chakra) or the ability to manipulate cells to turn them into other cells, is a specialist stat that is most often seen in those who devote their entire lives to being medical ninja, and have devoted themselves entirely to the pursuit of how to heal not only themselves but their companions. Starting with themselves, they are able to create new cells using different cells from their bodies and reconfiguring them into the cells needed for a healing jutsu.

Metaplasia is the irreversible conversion of one differentiated cell or tissue type into another. Metaplasia usually occurs in tissues that undergo regeneration, and may, in a pathological context, predispose to an increased risk of disease. Studying the conditions leading to the development of metaplasia is therefore of significant clinical interest. In contrast, transdifferentiation (or cellular reprogramming) is a subset of metaplasia that describes the permanent conversion of one differentiated cell type into another, and generally occurs between cells that arise from neighbouring regions of the same germ layer. Transdifferentiation, although rare, has been shown to occur in Nature. New insights into the signalling pathways involved in normal tissue development may be obtained by investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms in metaplasia and transdifferentiation, and additional identification of key molecular regulators in transdifferentiation and metaplasia could provide new targets for therapeutic treatment of diseases such as cancer, as well as generating cells for transplantation into patients with degenerative disorders. In the present review, we focus on the transdifferentiation of pancreatic cells into hepatocyte-like cells, the development of Barrett's metaplasia in the oesophagus, and the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying both processes.
With the influences of this, the user is able to do extraordinary things, at the cost of only being able to perform them once in a very short while. It helps with transplants, regrowing limbs that aren’t normally possible, and even using plant cells to heal wounds of a patient that doesn’t have the strength to heal themselves through conventional Iijutsu means.
There are 5 masteries of the Cell Conversion Chakra stat, as follows in the table below, conferring bonuses to the user when they use the skill for up to 5 consecutive posts. These abilities can only be used once per thread, as it is taxing on the user. (see Cell Conversion Perfection)
- 1st mastery: (stat 1-10) Able to use your own cells to regenerate your own wounds, up to minor ones, for the five posts, reducing the stamina drain of standard Iijutsu by one rank, able to access E ranked Cell Conversion Chakra Jutsu.
- 2nd mastery: (stat 11-20) Able to use your own cells to regenerate the moderate wounds of others for the five posts, reducing the stamina drain of standard Iijutsu by one rank, able to access D ranked Cell Conversion Chakra Jutsu. This includes the abilities of the 1st mastery including the reduction of 1 rank.
- 3rd mastery: (stat 21-30) Able to use others’ cells to regenerate their own extensive wounds for the five posts, reducing the stamina drain for them of standard Iijutsu by one rank, able to access C ranked Cell Conversion Chakra Jutsu. This includes the abilities of previous masteries. - 4th mastery: (stat 31-40) Able to use other human cells interchangeably with human cells, to transfer stamina from one patient to another with lower cost for both individuals used in the standard Iijutsu by one rank. Able to regenerate critical wounds. Able to draw from chakra freely given by those in the procedure for that event. Able to access B ranked Cell Conversion Chakra Jutsu. Able to use D ranked and below Cell Conversion Chakra Jutsu without activating the Cell Conversion Chakra stat for the 5 posts. (permanent at will usage.) The user is able to regenerate lost limbs while maintaining this form for themselves in over the course of the full 5 posts. - 5th mastery: (stat 41-49) Able to convert plant and other animal cells into cells for humans or E-bodies, converting them into the cells or energy that they need in order to heal at a rate that can keep up with life-threatening wounds. Does not require consent of the things around them in a 60 meter radius, and the draw is so miniscule for the surrounding living beings, that it does not harm them. Can also use freshly dead cells to reconstruct living cells, regenerating limbs that have been gone for quite a while (up to 2 in character weeks). Able to access A ranked Cell Conversion Chakra. Able to use C ranked and below Cell Conversion Chakra Jutsu without activating the Cell Conversion Chakra stat for the 5 posts. (permanent at will usage.) The user is able to regenerate lost limbs while maintaining this form for themselves in over the course of 4 posts. Able to regenerate per the regeneration table as if the user had 46 control, except that the regeneration takes 1 less post than the tables show, listed regeneration abilities here: https://www.narutosaigen.com/forums/vie ... &t=8341480 They also gain +5 control during these 5 posts. - Cell Conversion Perfection: (stat 50) Able to deconstruct dead or inanimate cellular structures in order to synthesize cells for implantation and cheat death itself. This cannot synthesize any sort of kekkei genkai or special abilities, even if studied, but can repair the cells of any living thing, plant or animal with the basic building blocks around them. At this point in the mastery, people are able to turn water into blood, rock into bone, sand into sinew, air into lymph. The world is just a tool to help their fellow shinobi recover. The user is able to regenerate lost limbs while maintaining this form for themselves in over the course of 3 posts. The shinobi gains access to S ranked Cell Conversion Chakra Jutsu. Able to use C ranked and below Cell Conversion Chakra Jutsu without activating the Cell Conversion Chakra stat for the 5 posts. (permanent at will usage.) They also gain +10 control, +10 chakra pool, and +5 endurance during these posts and are able to use energy from their surroundings to recover their depleted chakra for these five posts. This includes the abilities of previous masteries.
