When traditional stitching supplies aren't available, *[Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching] truly shines. After performing a short set of handseals, the user will gently place his/her index finger at the base of the patient's wound. Once this is done, the user will lift his/her finger and touch it to the other side of the wound, causing a visible 'stitch' of chakra to appear. This is repeated until the wound has been pulled together. Although precision is key, this technique can still be performed relatively quickly. Small to moderate wounds take very little time to stitch, while large wounds will take one (1) post of work to mend. This technique drains a minuscule amount of chakra from the person it is attached to in order to keep the stitches going, theoretically, ad-infinitum, and can be cancelled at any time by the user with a single handseal. Any intensive or strenuous movements will cause the stitches to break.

As sanitation cannot always be guaranteed in field operations, this technique provides a quick substitute to traditional sterilization methods. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will channel the chakra throughout his/her upper body (torso, arms, hands, face). This chakra will chew away at harmful bacteria and other foreign bodies on the skin, cleansing it until it is thoroughly sterile, and can be spread to objects, most commonly surgical tools. Of course, this takes both concentration and time, and in order to sterilize the entire upper body, it will take a duration of one (1) post. Users of this technique can also choose to sterilize certain parts of their upper body or the wounds of another person instead for a lesser concentration period. Once they are sanitized, they remain this way until coming in contact with more bacteria.
5 *[Iijutsu • Burn Ointment Technique]

This field-oriented technique is used in place of typical anesthetics when they're not at hand. After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will place them over a group of muscles. As the chakra is channeled through the chosen area, numbness will begin to creep throughout it, beginning with the flesh before seeping into the muscle below. Small areas of numbness require very little time, while medium-sized areas (equivalent to half a limb) require one (1) post to numb, and anything larger than an entire limb requires two (2) posts of concentration to numb. This numbing begins where the user has placed his/her hands and spreads outward until the hands are removed. The numbness can only cause pain equivalent to being stabbed with a kunai to be nullified. Once numbed, the effects last for four (4) posts before fading.

A step up in the ability to treat burns, *[Iijutsu • Burn Treatment] is used to alleviate pain caused by burn wounds. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will hover them above the burn wound. As the chakra is channeled into and around the burn, it cools the area and works to prevent harmful, scar-producing blistering in the affected area. To provide this soothing relief to medium-sized areas of first degree and second degree burns, it's fairly quick to do. For small-sized areas of third degree burns, it takes one (1) post of concentration to achieve the same effects. This technique is ineffective when applied to larger areas or burns worse than third degree.
*[Iijutsu • Cleanse Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
In the event that creating an antidote is not possible, users of this technique can still help their patient fight off toxins, infections and other foreign bodies. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will begin to channel it into the patient's body. As this chakra flows into the body, the leukocytes will react to its presence and begin to multiply rapidly. This influx of white blood cells takes one (1) post of concentration to create. Over the course of five (5) posts, the new and old leukocytes are able to fight off poisons that are C-Rank and below that have entered the body. During these final five posts, the medical-nin does not need to continuously focus chakra into the patient. It will take care of itself at this point.

Prerequisite: *[Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique]
Formulated to work in conjunction with the *[Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique], *[Iijutsu • Imperfect Cure] extends upon the antidote created in the aforementioned technique. Once the antidote has been concocted following the description of the *[Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique], the user will begin to channel additional chakra throughout the antidote to make it especially potent. This increased potency not only rids the body of the C-Rank or lower liquid poison that was in the body over the (3) posts it takes to work, but also induces an immunity in the patient which lasts for seven (7) posts.

Perhaps one of the most important Iijutsu techniques to date, the *[Iijutsu • Medical Diagnosis Technique] allows its users to probe another's body in search for medical answers. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will begin to channel it into the patient's body. Using this chakra as an internal extension of his/her hand to feel for abnormalities and other issues, the user is often able to determine the problem after some time and concentration. In order for a thorough examination to provide sufficient answers, the user will focus for up to one (1) post, seeking signs of internal and external damage, organ malfunction and disease among other ailments. Although skilled medical-nin have the possibility to work faster, skill cannot be substituted in for thoroughness.
*[Iijutsu • Skin Generation]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Often utilized by medical-nin to heal small, superficial wounds or for producing excess skin to use in skin grafts, the *[Iijutsu • Skin Generation] technique has its number of uses. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will channel it into a small area of skin cells on the patient's body. This chakra will force the skin cells to multiply at an ample rate by confusing this area of the body into its reconstruction stage that is achieved during slumber. As this is a type of regeneration, users must keep in mind that each cell draws from nutrients in the patient's body, and as such, too much can cause serious harm. In order to regenerate medium-sized areas of superficial wounds, it takes one (1) post of concentration. Areas smaller than this take considerably less time. In the case that the skin sample is separate from the body, the cells can be multiplied more quickly than they could be otherwise. These types of samples are generally use for skin grafts. The *[Iijutsu • Skin Generation] technique can be held for four (4) posts.

Wounds covered by this jutsu not only are safeguarded against bacteria but also applied an antiseptic and burn ointment to further provide aid.

After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will place both over the target's chest or back. Additionally, the hands can be placed over the heart to stimulate it as if it was manually receiving CPR.

After focusing chakra into their hands, the user will hover them over the bleeding wound and begin to channel chakra through it. The chakra will began to thicken the blood, causing it to clot at [Control] Speed. Wounds can be dealt with one limb at a time and the number of wounds that can be tended to within the three (3) posts that this technique lasts depends on their size. Although this technique stops the bleeding, the wound remains vulnerable and will require further care after this has been performed.

The user will channel chakra into their hands and then place them over a group of muscles. The user will channel their chakra and then make a small incision on the patient before placing their hands over the new wound. As this chakra is channeled into the body, the poison is extracted and contained in a green orb of chakra in the user's palm at [Control] Speed. Once extracted, the liquid poison will be suspended in the containment orb. Their chakra then mutates the poison at [Control] speed and rearranges it into an antidote. This antidote is effective on C-rank or lower poisons and induces immunity to the specific poison the patient was ailed with for 7 posts.
*[Iijutsu • Skin Mask]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
This particularly disturbing technique is typically utilized by medical-nin operating covertly. After obtaining a dead body, the user will channel chakra into the deepest layer of skin to carefully remove the facial skin from the underlying tissue. Once this has been done, the user will focus their chakra into the separated skin before applying it to his/her face. As this chakra makes contact with the user's skin, the skin cells will bond, creating a seamless mask. This new face remains stable for up to three (3) threads before it will begin to rot.
*[Iijutsu • Blood Transfer Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
The user must make small incisions into the patient and donors' bodies to open a vein. Once the vein has been opened, the user will begin to channel chakra into the donor and the patient at [Control] Speed. The patient's blood pressure will increase and stabilize itself while the donors blood pressure will decrease due to the transfer of blood. No more than 1 liter (2 pints) of blood can be transferred using this technique without repercussions such as fainting, loss of sensation, anemia, and death. In the event a donor is not available, the user may act as the donor. This also acts to allow the donor and patient to be a synthetic match so as to not send the patient into shock. This technique does not transfer KKG permanent or otherwise to the patient.

The antithesis to the famous *[Iijutsu • Mystical Palm], the infamous *[Iijutsu • Chakra Scalpel] is no precision instrument. The user will channel chakra into their palms before attempting to place them on a target. If the user is able to connect the entirety of their palm, the chakra will be released into the opponent's body at [Control] Strength. If cast with 34 [Control] or less, this chakra will slice through thinner body tissues, such as arteries, ligaments, tendons, or veins with ease but cannot slice thicker tissue such as that found around organs, up to 4 inches from the surface in an area roughly the size of the user's hand. If cast with 35 [Control] or more, thicker tissue can be sliced through. The skin remains unblemished by this technique, as it only causes internalwounds. The chakra used in this technique is highly visible when first activated and emanates from both hands for a duration of three (3) posts or until contact with the opponent is made.

Prerequisite: Arts of Medicine Concentration
A simple medical jutsu, the user is able to handle things with great care, minimizing the risk of bruising or tissue damage, and also of breaking a delicate object they may be holding. More a passive manner of holding things than an actual jutsu, this technique requires no chakra to use, but by utilizing it, one may handle with even greater care.
*Tissue Patch Technique
D-Ranked Iijutsu
As most low-rank medics are incapable of regenerating tissue or cells, some learn to do a makeshift, shoddy version. By performing a variant of the clone jutsu on a patient's wounds, they are able to make a small amount of their tissue over a wounded area to perform a makeshift sort of healing for them. This is capable of "healing" any visible wound which effects only a singular layer of tissue (A burn, for instance, could have skin placed copied over it instead of regenerated, reducing the risk of infection and giving the body a chance to heal naturally with less scarring.) This tissue, without proper supplement, will die in three posts. However, being living tissue, if the skin is properly supplied with chakra or a blood supply (and other things the tissue in question may need to be kept alive), it may be kept going indefinitely. Note that this can only clone singular layers of tissues, and not more complex things such as organs or bodies.

After forming the necessary pair of hand seals, the user is able to dispel their "tissue patch" technique, removing substances created by this jutsu which are foreign to a patient's body, and thereby stopping the immune system's fight against it. Note that it will take three posts for the immune system to stop it's activity, and that in those posts, it falls to the medical ninja to keep their patient alive.

While performing surgery on a patient, the user is able to put chakra within the tissues surrounding the area on which the medical ninja shall be operating. Doing this makes the tissues slightly sturdier and more malleable as well, providing them with a small amount of give before they break and also increasing the amount of pressure they can take before breaking. This technique merely helps minimize the risk of injury to the patient during surgery.

Prerequisite: Diagnosis Technique
During various medical procedures, a Medical ninja is able to use this technique to keep a constant watch on a patients vitals, including but not limited to their O2 levels, temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing. This allows the medical ninja a chance to stop procedures or respond to patient's needs faster than they otherwise would be able.

B-Ranked Iijutsu
Prerequisites: Putting Under Technique
Rather an alteration on an already existing jutsu than a whole new technique in itself, a medical ninja is able to use this technique to keep himself conscious and clear while sedated. S/He will be able to perform the procedures on himself, but it will be with a -2 to his/her willpower, because the user is not able to completely avoid feeling groggy while under anesthetic. If the user's willpower is above 9 when this technique is used, it will only drop by one point, as the user's ability to maintain clarity is improved to that extent. The user's strength, however, will drop by 3 while this technique is used, as control of the limbs and more precise extremities (such as the fingers) becomes more challenging. Some pain from the procedure will still go through and be felt, but it will be only a painful annoyance, not detracting from their medical capabilities. The user is able to move while under the influence of this technique, but is unable to travel. Even walking is not achievable without losing concentration and interrupting the jutsu.

Prerequisite: *[Chakra Scalpel]
While *[Chakra Scalpel] is in use, the user will focus and enhance the chakra into a precision blade unable to be used to damage an opponent in combat but perfect to make precision incisions in patients. The user will then separate soft tissues with a brief touch and be able to cut only what needs to be cut, in exactly the way it needs to be cut, ensuring that the user may remove, heal, or focus on only the tissue in question for up to 5 posts.
**[Eye Removal]
C-Ranked Iijutsu
Prerequisite: **[Careful Cut]
The user will channel chakra into their free hand while the other maintains the **[Careful Cut] jutsu. The user will then place their hand over an eye or pair of eyes and infuse them with this chakra. This chakra will coat the eye ball(s) and numb the nerves while preserving it after it is removed with the **[Careful Cut] jutsu.
**[Tissue Preservation]
B-Ranked Iijutsu
The user will channel chakra into their free hand while the other maintains the **[Careful Cut] jutsu. The user will then place their hand over an organ removed from a fallen shinobi. With this chakra, the cells of the organ will be kept preserved as if it was recently removed for an additional three (3) threads and may be re-cast to extend this limit.
**[Organ Removal]
B-Ranked Iitaijutsu
Prerequisite: **[Careful Cut]
The user will channel chakra into their free hand while the other maintains the **[Careful Cut] jutsu. The user will then place their hand over an organ and infuse it with this chakra. This chakra will coat and numb the nerves while preserving it after it is removed with the **[Careful Cut] jutsu.
**[Anesthesia]
B-Ranked Iijutsu
After forming the necessary hand seals and focusing chakra on a patient outside of combat, the user is able to heavily sedate them. This sedation technique is used to perform deeply invasive surgeries on patients, preventing them from moving while under and also keeping them deeply asleep and lasts for up [Chakra Pool]/2 posts. If a patient wakes up during the procedure, they will find themselves, depending on their [Willpower], mentally scarred from the intense amount of pain the surgery causes, and their vitals will go insane while they are awake unless they possess a sufficient [Discipline] to remain collected under immense stress and pain. Patients require greater or equal Control than the user's Control to fight off the sedation completely.
**[DNA Extraction]
A-Ranked Iijutsu
The user will channel the needed chakra and focus it into an adequate amount of tissue containing the DNA of a KKG or other ability. The cells making up the KKG or other ability will agitate to the point they are able to be easily focused and extracted from the subject. This technique does nothing by itself but begins the process implantation.
**[Inhibiting the Inhibitor]
A-Ranked Iijutsu
When a foreign substance or object invades the human body, the immune system responds and attempts to remove the threat. In order to prevent this, iryou-nin have developed a jutsu to acclimate the body to specific foreign organic substances. After forming the needed hand seals, the user is able to introduce a set amount of a given organic substance to a patient and to allow their immune system to respond naturally. This technique is also used to acclimate the patient to bloodline limits and prevent them from going out of control while the patient undergoes surgery.
**[Organ Stitching]
A-Ranked Iitaijutsu
Prerequisite: **[Chakra Stitching]
The user will place an organ or a tissue into it's proper place in a patient's body, be it a replacement or an implantation, and then channel chakra into their hands. They will continue to hold their hands over the tissue or organ in question and connect the various other tissues in the patients body where it needs to be connected with **[Chakra Stitching]. Blood vessels, connective tissues, muscles, etc. will all be connected to the organ in question, ensuring that once implanted, it will stay nourished and protected as if it were the body's own.
**[Optical Implantation]
A-Ranked Iitaijutsu
Prerequisite: **[Eye Removal]
After all the necessary precautions are taken, the user will begin by removing an eye from the patient in question to create a spot for the donor eye to be implanted with the **[Eye Removal] jutsu. They will then soften the orbital of the eye to make it more pliable, allowing them to place the donor eye within the socket. Following that, they will perform the actual placement, and then finally connect the tissues to the proper places, making sure that the ocular nerve is in the correct spot.
**[Cognizant Anesthesia]

Prerequisites: **[Anesthesia]

After all the necessary precautions are taken, the user will begin by removing an organ from the patient in question to create a spot for the donor organ to be implanted with the **[Organ Removal] jutsu. They will then place the donor organ within the appropriate cavity. Following that, they will perform the actual placement, and then finally connect the tissues to the proper places. This results in the patient being granted organ-based Kekkei Genkai such as the Akari or Kaguya.
**[Cell Implantation]
S-Ranked Iijutsu
The user is able to splice cells with a particular chakra element into a patient to give them the elemental chakra in question. Implanting the cells of a Yugeton user, for instance, would grant a patient use of the corresponding element. The patient must have the concentrations for or must have room to acquire the concentrations for the elements which make up the Fusion, Super, Extension, etc. spliced into them. A patient who receives Yugeton, for instance, would receive not just the [Yugeton] concentration but the [Katon] and [Suiton] concentrations as well.
**[Self Implantation]
S-Ranked Iitaijutsu
Culminating all of their knowledge of the human body and medical expertise into one point, the user will be able to perform transplants on themselves, potentially giving themselves a Kekkei Genkai, body modification, etc. The user of this technique performs everything themselves or else with limited help, including pre-operational work, maintaining the sedation on themselves during the procedure, monitoring their vitals, the act of implantation/splicing, connecting tissue to tissue and organ to body. The time this procedure takes is dependent entirely on what is being implanted, but because the doctor is impeded by being the patient, it generally takes longer than normal.

This increased potency not only rids the body of the S-Rank or lower poison that was in the body over the (3) posts it takes to work, but also induces an immunity in the patient which is permanent. This permanent immunity only applies to A-Rank and lower liquid poisons.

The highest ranking technique in its line, the *[Iijutsu • Master Antidote Technique] is a useful, but particularly taxing Iijutsu performed on poisoned patients. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will make a small incision (with a knife, scalpel, etc.) on the patient and then place his/her hands over the new wound. As this chakra is channeled into the body, it extracts the poison out of it and into the user's palm. After one (1) post of the extraction process, the user will remove his/her hand, and place it over a container of some sort (anything that can bear liquid). From here, the liquid poison will be ejected from the hand along with the remaining chakra that was used to extract it. As this chakra interacts with the poison over the course of a second post, its molecules will be rearranged to form the antidote for the poison in question. This works all poisons. The antidote takes a total of three (3) posts to fully rid the body of the poison.

This is done in the blink of an eye for most wounds.
