A unique taijutsu style devised by Satori, Bankotsu Kaigo focuses on erratic movements and unexpected behavior mediated by a peaceful mind. Hallmarks of the style are flips, springs, rolls, handstands, sword throwing, and the appearance of being unbalanced. The style is built upon, and inseparable from, a metaphysical philosophy that hinges on ideas of movement, balance, and a blurred line between the self and the world.

To practice the style and philosophy of Bankotsu Kaigo, one must assume the metaphysical idea that it is possible for the practitioner, through sheer force of will, to move the world around oneself while remaining still. This is considered "enlightened movement." It is also assumed to be possible to detach from this and move through the world as is typically perceived. This is considered "reckless movement." Typically, passive or evasive movements (walking, dodging) are considered enlightened. Aggressive movements (charging, attacking) are considered reckless.

Just in the same way that the practitioner can detach oneself from the movement of the world, one can also attach or detach physical objects from oneself. A sword owned or used by the practitioner would be considered enlightened, while a sword thrown would be considered reckless.

It's important that one maintains a balance between the ideas of enlightenment and recklessness, as spending too much time in either state is considered to be an imbalance. The goal of Bankotsu Kaigo is neither recklessness nor enlightenment, but the space between the two.

In Bankotsu Kaigo, the disciplines and maneuvers of the style are considered to be the physical manifestation of its philosophical tenants.

•The Principle of Center: The idea that any one person or object is capable of becoming the focal point of the entire world, a solitary stationary figure which the rest of the world moves around. It's important to note that centering is not a measure of importance, but simply a matter of physical positioning.

•The Principle of Balance: The idea that it is neither desirable nor beneficial to spend too much time in either the state of Enlightenment or Recklessness.

•The Principle of Enlightenment: Whereas center is the idea that any object or person can be made to be the center of the world, Enlightenment is the act of making oneself so.

•The Principle of Recklessness: The act of removing oneself as center and returning to typical methods of movement.

•The Principle of Scale: The idea that no object is larger, heavier, or more significant than any other, but that they are only perceived to be.

•The Principle of Orientation: The idea that no object or person has any particular usefulness, purpose, or function, but that they are only perceived to.
The Principle of Recklessness

After a lot of practice, Satori has developed the ability to throw any of his swords with the accuracy of any other projectile. He can throw it with a spin, much like a large shuriken, or straight like a lance.

Through extensive training, Satori has developed the ability to spin his swords between his fingers. This is typically used to quickly change the orientation of his blade.

To Roll the World Around Oneself

Satori is able to incorporate rolls into his fighting style, able to move 2 feet in any direction before popping back to his feet with great fluidity.

To Bend Oneself Around the World

Usually used to avoid a strike, Satori will bend over backwards at the knees. He is then able to regain his posture quickly without losing balance.

To Enlighten in Seemingly Unusual Ways

Using the same underlying principle as *[Basic Jutsu • Act of Tree Climbing], Satori will channel chakra to the bottom of his foot in order to secure an item to it. Satori will typically use this with his swords, but it can be used in other ways as well.

Through extensive training, Satori has developed the ability to use his off-hand with the same degree of flexibility and dexterity as his dominant hand.

One of the hallmarks of the Bonkotsu Kaigo style, Satori will perform a move that would likely throw a normal swordsman off balance (for example, putting all of his weight and over extending in a strike). In fact, the appearance of loss of balance is the point, as it gives the illusion of an opening that does not exist. Satori will usually then use this seemingly misplaced momentum to push himself into a roll, spring, or flip.

The Principle of Enlightenment

Through extensive training and knowledge of the construction of his weapons, Satori has developed the ability to grab his own swords by the blade without sustaining injury. He does this by wrapping his hands around the blade in a way that keeps his skin off of the blade itself, applying pressure to the flats of the blade.

Satori is able to incorporate backflips into his fighting style, and is able to use them to land up to 5 meters back.

To Heave the World Forward

Satori is able to incorporate handsprings into his fighting style, and is able to use them to land up to 10 meters back. Similar to a backflip, a handspring has Satori flip backwards to catch himself with one or both hands before pushing off to land on his feet.

If an opponent is attempting to strike at Satori with a hand or hand-held weapon, Satori will attempt to strike out at the forearm of the person to knock the attack away. If Satori's Strength exceeds the target's by more than 5, the target may drop their weapon.

When put in a situation in which Satori has an opponent behind him, he will spin around rapidly and use the momentum to slash at his opponent.

When performing a handspring Satori is able to use the slats on the bottom of his wooden sandals to catch the wrists and weapons of his opponent. He then torques his body with his hands to throw them of balance. If Satori's Strength exceeds the target's by more than 5, the target may drop their weapon.

Through practice, Satori has mastered handsprings to the extent that he is able to perform them with a single finger instead of his whole hand.

To Move Along the Current of Another

A skill requiring a great deal of perception and control of one's own body, Satori is able to move his body in such a way that he avoids taking the full force of a blow while making it appear as though he did not. For example, if someone were to attempt to punch him in the stomach, he would allow for the opponent to make contact with his body as he throws his own body backwards to emulate the momentum of the strike. This can be an incredibly risky move, as it will fail unless both Satori's speed exceeds his opponent's.

Exhibiting incredible upper body dexterity and balance, Satori is able to run at full speed using two fingers on one hand. He's also able to perform kicking strikes, and strikes with his free hand.

First performing handseals, this sensor jutsu is used by shinobi to feel chakra sources within a radius of 35 meters. While this jutsu is fairly helpful in sensing chakra, it is unable to actually pinpoint specific chakras outside of a 10m radius. This only gives the Shinobi an idea of how many entities with chakra are present in their general area.

After performing the needed hand seals, the user focuses chakra to their eyes, causing Maroon chakra to flare up around their eyes. This allows the user to see the chakra of spirits and spirit related objects/people as an aura of Maroon. While useful for a quick glance, it can be used up to [Chakra Pool]/5 posts, before needing to be refreshed.

After performing the needed hand seals and focusing chakra into their hand, the user places their hand on the head of a Spirit host, or on the object containing a spirit. This allows them to speak directly to the spirit in a telepathic link.

After doing the needed hand seals, the user will create a 10x10x10m barrier at [Control] Speed with [Control] Strength. This barrier is created of pure Maroon chakra and will only stop things that are related to spirits, normally jinchuuriki. As a result, those that are stopped by the barrier are unable to make their way through unless they can break it. Those untainted by spirits are able to pass through the barrier at their leisure. This barrier lasts for 4 posts.

*Spirit Binding • Seishin Kanri

After preforming the necessary hand seals, the user shoots out a chain of Maroon Chakra at [Control] Speed & Strength that wraps around a spirit. If the spirit stays sealed within this chain for 4 posts, the spirit is subjected to the control of the user of the technique, regardless of contracts up to 4 posts. If the spirit has more Strength than the chain, it can be easily broken free of. This jutsu can only be used on similar and lower-ranked spirits.

After performing the needed hand seals, the user focuses chakra into their body, giving them a slight Maroon glow. For the next 10 posts, whenever they speak, they are able to communicate with Spirits of all sorts, including those inside of jinchuuriki.

After performing the needed hand seals, the user focuses chakra, causing the Maroon chakra to flare up around their eyes. This allows the user to see the chakra of spirits and spirit related objects/people as an aura of Maroon. Additionally, they are able to see how the spirit is interacting with and influencing their host, be it a jinchuuriki, or a joruri. While useful for a quick glance, it can be used up to [Chakra Pool]/5 posts, before needing to be refreshed.

*Ochiiru • Minor Possession Removal

After performing the needed hand seals, the user will place their hand on an object that is being possessed by a spirit, such as a joruri. Over the course of a full post, the spirit will be pushed from the object unless its Control is equal or greater than the users.

*Kuchiyose • Numa Seitai
B-rank Tenkujutsu
After preforming the needed hand seals, the user summons an area up to 20x20x20 meters that lasts for 5 posts. This barrier creates a swamp overlay transferred from the spirit realm, that is layered with a thick heavy bog, and the sound of muck bubbling up due to carbonation. This allows the user to summon spirits cost free at the cost of one lump sum of chakra up-front.

*Shizumeru • Grasp of Authority
A-rank Tenkujutsu
After performing a set of hand seals, the user focuses chakra towards their hand. A chain made of Maroon chakra will shoot from their palm towards the target with [Control] Speed and Strength. If it hits a spirit, a jinchuuriki, tsukimogami, or other such being, the chain will wrap around them and bind their arms to their sides. These chains cling to the chakra of the Spirit itself and are unable to be broken through physical means. If the target has a Mastery stat or a Spirit has a Strength greater than the users Control, they are able to break the binding. If the chains are able to stay on their target, they will drain away -6 Mastery from hosts or -6 Strength from Spirits until broken free of and for 3 posts thereafter.

After preforming the necessary hand seals, the user places their hand over the spirit as they flood their chakra for an entire post. If the spirit has a control stat higher than the user's, then the spirit will resist the claim. If they do not, they will be bound to the user, and are able to be summoned at any time at the will of the user and have to obey their every command. This jutsu is effective on similar and lower-ranked spirits.

Sensors are shinobi who are able to activate a sixth sense which can locate and read chakra sources. Sensors are able to collect a lot of information through the interpretation of this sixth sense.

A character with this concentration is able to utilize Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Katon affinity. Katon has a passive [color=orangered][i]ignition[/i][/color] effect. Katon's effect is [b]ignition[/b], which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own. Additionally, the strength of burns on organic material from katon jutsu is determined by the strength stat of the individual jutsu.

Raiton has a [color=yellow][i]shocking[/i][/color] effect. Raiton has a passive [b]shocking[/b] effect, which causes its effect to be diffuse upon impact. In organic material, this causes nervous stimulation which results in numbness, tingling, loss of sensation, and sometimes paralysis. In inorganic material, this means that the strength of the jutsu diffuses across an area 2x the size of the attack. In a jutsu that creates a lightning ball 2m in diameter, if it struck a wall the size of the attack would cover a 4m area. Additionally, the strength of the nervous effect on organic material from raiton jutsu is determined by the strength stat of the individual jutsu.

A skill requiring a great deal of perception and control of one's own body, Satori is able to move his body in such a way that he avoids taking the full force of a blow while making it appear as though he did not. For example, if someone were to attempt to punch him in the stomach, he would allow for the opponent to make contact with his body as he throws his own body backwards to emulate the momentum of the strike. This can be an incredibly risky move, as it will fail unless both Satori's speed exceeds his opponent's.

D-rank Storage Fuuinjutsu
A storage jutsu made specifically for Satori's katana, tattooed on the palm of each hand. It is unsealed via channeling, which causes the blade to emerge from the seal point first at just the right distance for Satori to grab the handle.

D-rank Storage Fuuinjutsu
A seal used for holding a specialized audio recording device. When the seal is unlocked via channeling, the recording device inside of it activates while remaining inside the seal, allowing Satori to secretly record a conversation or event.

By channeling chakra and touching his hand to a seal, Satori is able to destroy a D-rank or below fuuinjutsu and render it useless.

By channeling chakra into all of his Sheath Seals, Satori is able to unseal all of them at the same time, extending the handles from the seals so that they can be drawn as if from a sheath.

While this jutsu is fairly helpful in sensing chakra, it is unable to actually pinpoint specific chakras outside of a 10m radius. This only gives the Shinobi an idea of how many entities with chakra are present in their general area.[/spoiler][/table]

After performing the correct hand seals the user will exhale a small ball of flame directly in front of them. After performing the correct hand seals the user draws in a deep breath before exhaling out a cone that is up to five meters long and three meters wide at it's base. The cone travels at a speed equal to [Control] and impacts with a strength equal to [Control].

After performing the correct hand seals, the user runs their hands alongside a potential fuel, once they take their fingers off everything the ran their hand over will ignite, the flame burning at [Control] Strength. Potentially useful in avoiding wildfires, having fueles for a fire used against them.

By channeling katon chakra into a metal weapon or blade, the user will cause it to grow hotter and cover the blade in flames. The imbued weapon will be able to carve through defenses of [Control] or less strength with ease.[/spoiler]

After performing the correct hand seals the user will extend two fingers toward a target. A bolt of lightning will jump up to 10 meters from their fingers at [Control] Speed and Strength.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user will coat a weapon they are holding in Raiton electricity for 5 posts. This causes the shock effect to be produced on any contact with a target, while also granting blunt weapons the ability to cut through skin to produce shallow wounds. This also works for thrown weapons, however if the projectile remains out of contact with the user for more than 2 posts the technique will dissipate early.

D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user will channel Raiton chakra to two of their fingers. They will then be able to fire up to three total bullet sized balls of concentrated lightning from their fingertips. These bullets will travel at [Control] speed, but will not have any physical force. Instead, they will apply light electrical burns similar to a sun burn and will apply Raiton's shocking effect.

*[color=Yellow][b]Sky Spear[/b][/color]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user will create a 1 meter long rod of lightning in their hand at [Control] Speed. They are then able to launch it at their Strength in a single direction. Upon contact the spear will explode with [Control] Strength. If it has not been launched by the end of the second post it will dissipate.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user will seep Raiton chakra in an area around them with a 25m diameter. The user's Raiton will constrict and paralyze jutsu and people who enter it. They will lose -1 Speed per post for 2 posts or until the user ends the jutsu.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will create a clone out of their Raiton chakra. This clone will have the users stats. It lasts for [Control/5] posts.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user will seep Raiton chakra in an area around them with a 25m diameter. This will produce an electric current on the ground in this area visible as crackling lightning on the surface. Any other than the user who step into this zone will have the shocking effect applied and their legs will sustain [Control] Strength shocks. This current lasts 3 posts, while it ends immediately if the user leaves the area.

*[color=Yellow][b]Golden Bird[/b][/color]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user creates an orb of lightning the size of a basketball slightly above their head. They are then able to direct the orb at [Control] Speed at their will, however they may not move while doing this. The orb cannot leave 25m diameter around the user, and detonates with [Control] Strength on contact with a solid. This orb last a maximum of 4 posts, and may be self destructed at any moment in their lifespan at the user's will.

*[color=Yellow][b]Jamming Pulse[/b][/color]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user emits a wave of electricity from their palm in a single direction. This is produced as a 10m wide line which extends 2m into the air and travels up to 25m from the user at [Control] Speed. The wave will apply the shocking effect and reduce the speed of any living thing it strikes by 3 Speed for 3 posts by electrically interfering with the brain's nervous signals.[/spoiler][/table]

This allows the user to see the chakra of spirits and spirit related objects/people as an aura of [color=#b50262][b]Maroon[/b][/color]. While useful for a quick glance, it can be used up to [Chakra Pool]/5 posts, before needing to be refreshed.

After performing the needed hand seals and focusing chakra into their hand, the user places their hand on the head of a Spirit host, or on the object containing a spirit. This allows them to speak directly to the spirit in a telepathic link.

After doing the needed hand seals, the user will create a 10x10x10m barrier at [Control] Speed with [Control] Strength. This barrier is created of pure [color=#b50262][b]Maroon[/b][/color] chakra and will only stop things that are related to spirits, normally jinchuuriki. As a result, those that are stopped by the barrier are unable to make their way through unless they can break it. Those untainted by spirits are able to pass through the barrier at their leisure. This barrier lasts for 4 posts.

*[color=#b50262][b]Spirit Binding • Seishin Kanri[/b][/color]
C-rank Tenkujutsu
After preforming the necessary hand seals, the user shoots out a chain of [color=#b50262][b]Maroon[/b][/color] Chakra at [Control] Speed & Strength that wraps around a spirit. If the spirit stays sealed within this chain for 4 posts, the spirit is subjected to the control of the user of the technique, regardless of contracts up to 4 posts. If the spirit has more Strength than the chain, it can be easily broken free of. This jutsu can only be used on similar and lower-ranked spirits.

After performing the needed hand seals, the user focuses chakra into their body, giving them a slight [color=#b50262][b]Maroon[/b][/color] glow. For the next 10 posts, whenever they speak, they are able to communicate with Spirits of all sorts, including those inside of jinchuuriki.

Additionally, they are able to see how the spirit is interacting with and influencing their host, be it a jinchuuriki, or a joruri. While useful for a quick glance, it can be used up to [Chakra Pool]/5 posts, before needing to be refreshed.

After performing the needed hand seals, the user will place their hand on an object that is being possessed by a spirit, such as a joruri. Over the course of a full post, the spirit will be pushed from the object unless its Control is equal or greater than the users.

After preforming the needed hand seals, the user summons an area up to 20x20x20 meters that lasts for 5 posts. This barrier creates a swamp overlay transferred from the spirit realm, that is layered with a thick heavy bog, and the sound of muck bubbling up due to carbonation. This allows the user to summon spirits cost free at the cost of one lump sum of chakra up-front.

A-rank Tenkujutsu
After performing a set of hand seals, the user focuses chakra towards their hand. A chain made of [color=#b50262][b]Maroon[/b][/color] chakra will shoot from their palm towards the target with [Control] Speed and Strength. If it hits a spirit, a jinchuuriki, tsukimogami, or other such being, the chain will wrap around them and bind their arms to their sides. These chains cling to the chakra of the Spirit itself and are unable to be broken through physical means. If the target has a Mastery stat or a Spirit has a Strength greater than the users Control, they are able to break the binding. If the chains are able to stay on their target, they will drain away -6 Mastery from hosts or -6 Strength from Spirits until broken free of and for 3 posts thereafter.

*[color=#b50262][b]Spirit Binding • Domesticating the Beast[/b][/color]
A-rank Tenkujutsu
After preforming the necessary hand seals, the user places their hand over the spirit as they flood their chakra for an entire post. If the spirit has a control stat higher than the user's, then the spirit will resist the claim. If they do not, they will be bound to the user, and are able to be summoned at any time at the will of the user and have to obey their every command. This jutsu is effective on similar and lower-ranked spirits.[/spoiler][/table]

The Principle of Center - This is basically the Ambidextry tech several styles have which is a D rank

The Principle of Balance <- Would also be a D rank going off precedent

The Principle of Enlightenment <- D

As a general rule while E ranks do technically still exist we've been trying to phase them out so most of them should be D ranks instead
