This lottery is going to function a little differently than the previous lotteries have. So please pay attention, do not be afraid to ask questions, and do keep your minds open.
Below are the spoilers which briefly explore the lore for the weapons. While the 5 Evils of Mankind is mostly just flavor, the Emperor's Armoury has important lore attached to it that is relevant to their function of distribution.
Five EvilsShow
The 5 Evils of Mankind once belonged to a single man. He had been a priest in his youth, a follower of a solemn spirit, and a practitioner of many Holy arts. A dark and corrupt spirit tempted him with gifts though, beautiful weapons disguised as holy treasures. The Priest gathered them, protected them, and adorned them with him everywhere he went. Slowly the darkness within them would corrupt him, and he would be turned from a Priest, to a servant to the dark spirit.
His heart would eventually be overpowered by the spirit, who would husk his soul from his body and use his body as a vessel for his purpose. The emptied body would wander the world in solitude, carrying the weapons, protecting them from any who dared take them. The only words the body could produce would be the final words of the Priest before he was husked: A prayer for protection from the 5 Evils of Mankind...Ignorance, Anger, Malevolence, Desire, and Envy.
While the husk of the priest has been lost to the ages, word has reached the villages of the location of his treasures. Considered to be the things of mythos, the villages have authorized interested shinobi to investigate.

Emperor's ArmouryShow
The Emperor's Armoury has many origins stories, though the one the speaks of the witch who created them to spread chaos throughout the world is considered the most popular. Few of the stories address the truth of the Armoury though...its persistence. The Armoury is in fact an ancient concept, and it derives its power from energies beyond comprehension of even the most knowledgeable of scholars. The Armoury does not obey the laws of time, or space, and exists as it pleases.
Some say that it's the will of the witch, insisting upon chaos. Others say that the power is too strong to be contained even by primordial forces. Whatever the case is, the armoury chooses it master, it chooses with divine discretion, and when the master loses it, the armoury takes itself back. As such, no village has truly ever been able to control the armoury. Any time an owner dies, the items in the armoury vanish without a trace. While documented changes in ownership exist, there are no recognizeable patterns that allow scholars to divine how exactly the armoury selects it's masters.

Alright. So this is how its going to work.
I'm going to lottery off 2 weapons at a time. One from each set.
If you are interested in a weapon, you must enter with a CHARACTER, you cannot enter with a blanket request. You ARE allowed to enter with a character in registration.
The lottery will be open for 10 days at a time. At day 10, a winner will be selected. If the winning character is in registry, the plot board will not begin until the character is accepted.
Winning the lottery does not guarantee the weapon, it simply puts you in a position to succeed in the plot board. Once you win, you will post a D-rank plot board, for a single [Weapon Retreival] topic. I will approve it, post the topic with the setting, and you will enter, and retrieve your weapon.
Following that, anyone that qualifies for the lottery (meaning they are capable of entering, not that they entered) is allowed to enter the topic with any character of equal or lesser rank. Meaning if the winner is chuunin, you could enter with a chuunin or genin, but not with a special jounin or jounin. Joining characters must have a stat total no greater than +10 the winner
Anyone who enters the topic will have the opportunity to take the weapon. How you do so is entirely at your discretion, may it be killing the owner, or simply grabbing the weapon and running.
The topic will remain open for 10 days, if no one enters, the winner can exit the topic unhindered. If anyone does, the topic will continue until completion, with a 5 day post requirement.
Now, I should make a few things clear:
- You MAY NOT enter this lottery (or attempt to usurp a lottery winner) if you have a Genma. Or if you have won any other weapon lotteries, and exited the plot board with a weapon. Or if you won any of the positions from the Kage lottery UNLESS you fail your Kage Exam.
- There is a cost of 25 points to whoever ends up with the weapon, not to the lottery winner.
- Winning the lottery does not promise you the weapon, I cannot make this any more clear.
- Death in these plot boards is real, so proceed with caution.
- Remember that the 5 Evils of Mankind are village locked, meaning they will remain in circulation where ever they end up after this, please keep this in consideration when entering.
- Reminder that a Genma Lottery will be occurring by the end of September at the latest, so keep that in mind when entering for these as well.
- As with everything else produced by the forum, OOCs cannot place any of the weapons in their own villages unless they are willing for forfeit their position as OOC.
