It took us some time but we found a solution that seems to be a happy medium for those who wish to have such a thing as their central theme, or for those who wish to add some life to their character. Starting as of now, everyone has access to one FREE D-Rank companion if they so choose to take it. This allows those that start at lower ranks to have no issues with grabbing their fluffy dog or adorable cat. It also allows those at higher ranks the same deal. You will still be able to acquire a higher ranked pet/companion if you so desire via PlotBoards.
The next change is something that was brought to our attention recently and very swiftly solved. As of right now, those within a Fusion Clan, such as your Ishiguro and your Enkouten, will now be able to use Ability Channeling with said clan. As of right now this will only extend to Fusion clans and it may extend further if we feel that it does not bring too much harm. If anyone is curious as to why we decided on this, a member of our staff brought up a small train of thought of how Fusion clans could have been simply done with concentrations as opposed to an ability slot and we felt that sacrificing an ability for what is essentially a glorified concentration was not worth it. In this endeavor, we have given them innate Ability Channeling to give them something to make them more of an ability and allow those who have a Fusion to not be forced to take something like Elemental Specialist to be able to channel what they desire.
HOWEVER! This ability channeling does not extend to the parent sources. If you are a Arashiyama, you can channel Storm with Ability Channeling, but not Suiton and Raiton. Very simple.
