Naruto Saigen Roleplay

Any time I have ever created a character here, it was for flavor purposes. I never think to create the most broken character the site has ever seen. I don't intend to make my characters tournament-ready so they can compete with genma and multi-ranked up characters. I don't try to make my characters super strong. I make my characters to have a fun factor. Now I know this doesn't seem like a big deal to some of you who take this site way to damn seriously and do everything for the competitive factor (which I personally find saps the fun from it), but to those like me it's kinda...degrading.

"Why do you have that jutsu? That's stupid and useless." No, get off your high-horse. Just because something is stupid and useless to you doesn't mean the creator feels the same way.

"You need stat boosting jutsu" No, I really don't. Quit being a try-hard prat.

No I don't believe you're the only one, Sia. Granted I haven't played any tourneys but that is because thy do not interest me. I do not like PvP in general, I'm here for the Roleplay aspect and the story! I'm not sure about you but If I really wanted to do PvP I would probably could do it, by researching.

But where is the fun in that? Where is the fun in creating a non-factor character? People may like to dance around this, Dark Souls PvP, is a prime example!

No, I can't say as I've ever really done that beyond trying to make sure that the character reflects some kind of martial competence as a trained killer with magic in his fingers.


But then again neither do I make self indulgent topics to pat myself on the back for good roleplaying.

I don't know enough about this game to be power-hungry. I'd rather have a full character with an IC history rather than a collection of unbeatable jutsu.

Ummm, not a single one of my characters has been made with ultimate power in mind. Each has something they're good at, and each has things that can and will royally screw them over. Katsu? Overwhelming physical might but piss poor genjutsu response and easily taunted/baited. Inoriki? Great support and information gathering but has little to no combat ability. Lee? Great defensive and negotiating ability but lacks the willpower to go for the outright kill. Shinobu? All out heavy assault and massive spectacle appeal but absolutely no real synergy. So no, you're not the only one. Nor are you the only one that ignores efficiency in favor of flavor. So ultimately, purpose of this thread isssssss?

I make characers because I get an idea in my head I want to try >_> Like the Iwa I want to make is a Sakebi that uses a heavy shield and heavy armor and bangs on the shield with his hammer to generate energy for his own jutsu. Its not because I plan to kill people, I've gotten over that cause I'm the only person here that doesn't mind losing their characters, it is because I want to see the idea played out.

Call it whatever you want, Jesse deary. But being on a high horse wasn't my intention.
