I really think that a lot of these unwritten rules should be written down. It wouldn't take that much time to write them down, especially if it's just when you run into an issue with a member. They could just be jotted down in the Miscellaneous Rules section, or at the very least, the mods should have a thread, even on their own, where they can compile said rules and then regularly transfer them over. It's very frustrating when told something is a rule, when there is no evidence of the rule unless you scour through other modifications. (Then, when asking about exceptions, being told that unless it's written down, there are no exceptions to this unwritten rule. I'm the only one apparently that thinks this is contradictory.)

Rules that I am aware of that should be written down in the Miscellaneous Rules, but cannot find in any rules (aka unwritten rules):
  • The maximum for a mod for jutsu is 75 points or 25 jutsu, whichever comes first
  • The jutsu for Style Packs for Member Appreciation Events must be claimed at same time as the pack.
I'm sure there are others, but these are the two I've seen this week.

I feel this will obviously help members know the rules better, and will also help mods, who won't have to repeatedly correct members who didn't know the unwritten rules.

Edit: this actually existed in the past, and should again.

The following jutsu in the Sankaton archives contain text that imply they should require advanced channelling (and thereby ninjutsu specialisation). I can see no reason that they are not using hand-seals beyond simple flavour, but systematically they should be updated to either use hand-seals OR list the Advanced Chanelling Conc as a pre-requisite on each technique:

Smell Control Genjutsu + Custom Smell technique requiring a smelling trigger = Potential to either be broken or a good strategy.

The brain already thinks it's smelling, say, mint from Smell Control. There would need to be an indepth reason behind this having not a chance being a trigger due to the fact that the person's neurons already detects the 'smelling' of mint, which would further help the succession of a genjutsu requiring a smelling trigger.

There's no rule against it, and isn't seen in the miscellaneous ruling, so it wouldn't be an incorrect experience if someone were to do this right now.

Maybe it's a stack strategy yet to be thought of, maybe it's a semantic flaw. Would like to know which is the truth if anyone were to implement it and things like it into roleplay.

For Empathy Sensory there are three nearly identical archives for C rank and B Rank for Doton, Suiton and Fuuton but then at A Rank it only has the Suiton version listed:

This will see out 50 meters, and up to 20meters in depth, evoking flashes of images in the users head of the lay out, and things happening in the area.

It feels like there should also be a Doton and Fuuton version of this technique for the sake of consistency and not locking out 2 elements to be only accessible to specialists at that rank.

It would be an easy enough Fix basically just something like:

Making a request here for basic armor to be given like a set price at it's most basic level, seeing as I have no access to staff threads and all that. Seems to me like it'd help with all that. (like, having a list with weapon pricing "Armour that protects up to X strength: X points for body part protected" or something like that)

That's because they take up both slots, they're larger countries. Owl definitely, you can see in the description of it's borders that it's meant to have 18 to the south and 26 to the north. Pebble maybe? No borders description but it's meant to serve as the war zone between Wind and Earth, so taking up 36 and 37 makes sense.

Okay, so, I checked quite a few of these but the rest that I haven't are out of my hands. What I went through is fixed spelling errors, mistakes, etc. The real quick stuff.

The rest of these, like issues with jutsu that involve not having certain things, like speed or strength or whatever else that isn't a grammatical error but is instead a system error, I will handle with myself and someone else included so I can get some feedback from them.

That being said, those who I have done, I have your post in hand and will do stuff with it tomorrow, when I am not tired.

After performing the correct hand seals and then focusing on a target within 50 feet, visible chakra distortion begins forming around a targeted body part and forces it to separate from reality as long as the user can hold their focus for a short time. The target's body part will phase through solid objects and otherwise be physically intangible but chakra-based techniques or enhanced attacks can still damage it as if it was physical. This migration fades after 2 posts and the target must move at a speed equal to user's Control or the connection breaks and the limb is forced tangible once more with a shock of pain in the area.

*Space-Time Style • Euclidean Migration Technique
B-Rank Migration Ninjutsu
The user floods their body with chakra and then forms several hand seals, then displaces themselves from dimensional space and time. They become capable of moving their body at a speed equal to their control but lose physical form, unable to interact with or be interacted with physically. Elemental techniques that affect chakra can damage them but cannot break them out of migration unless the user wills it, 3 posts pass or if the user attempts to completely intersect themselves with another. This will cause them to be thrown from the attempt and broken from migration, stunned for 1 post.

The payment rule needs to be added into the elemental body rules, as of now it doesn't mention how you pay for it at all. As far as I'm aware it takes 2,000 words.

This either needs to be renamed Master Puppetry or the prereq for the A rank puppetry tech needs to have it's prereq updated. Also there is no intermediate puppetry tech, just the the Initiate one. So the prereq for ADvanced/Master puppetry needs to be updated as well.

Additionally, the mist is saturated in chakra, which makes it impossible for sensors outside the mist to sense who is within it, and those within it it to sense outside of it. This technique lasts a number of posts equal to the user's 1/2 stamina.
That's antisight (mist in the way), anti-scent and anti-hearing. Also, it should specify the speed of manifestation.

If an ability allows for jutsu, you do not need an additional concentration that utilizes these jutsu, as they fall under the abilities skill. <-- Should specify ninjutsu and genjutsu only.

This is intentionally left off of the template because specialisation is not required, and is a little more advanced than a new user might wish to get into - they can always add it if they understand it. The concern is that new users might feel like they need to take one, if it has a dedicated section on the sheet.

Considered the ultimate expression of prowess with the lightning element, this technique creates a bolt of lightning of unmatched power. After using the correct hand seals, the user concentrates lightning between their hands before firing it in a single bolt of lightning which travels for a maximum of 150m. Once it connects with a solid or at the user's will, it will explode with the force of 25 exploding tags, while expanding the raiton shocking quality for an extra 40 meters outside of the explosion radius. This technique causes the user's arms to become paralysed for 2 posts after use.

There is literally no reason to start lower ranked. You get punished stat-wise, point-wise, and effort-wise.

Alright. First thing is first. If you have a problem on a part of the forum and you don't link it, I'm not looking for it. This goes for anyone. If your problem is a general thing, it should be obvious you don't need to link anything.

Okay, now, to the real thing. I've got this narrowed down to six different things that need more than my singular opinion on them and I brought it up with Staff. When I am able to finish them, I will state that I've done everything that has needed a check or wasn't addressed already or didn't have an issue to begin with.

As long as they hold the seal, for up to 4 posts, the user can move the whale around at a speed of 35. The whale's tale can (it's back end) can't be more than 10 meters from the user. This massive creature will impact with 35 strength and cause third degree burns on contact with flesh.

All jutsu performed via a human puppet takes stamina from the puppeteer, as he puppet no longer has any stamina stat.


Human Puppetry
Having educated themselves in the human body, the user has learned how to control the human body through Kugutsu. Additionally, they have learn how to transform a dead body into a puppet, retaining it’s unique concentrations from when they were still alive.
