How does the Deftness stat of the puppet translate into speed/strength and/or range of projectiles launched by the puppet?

Ori nailed the head of the nail here.

Deftness is useful if you don't wanna spend several mechanisms to substitute a mechanisms speed or strength. So lets say you wanna make use of all your mechanisms, without using multiple for just one. You'd want your deftness stat and strength stat high to make sure they power them.

Thanks guys, that makes more sense to me now. Appreciate the clarification.

Edit: Then is strength the defining factor on range or would that be Deftness in the case of puppets?
