Time Limit for Mission ~
Storyteller: Strat.
The sun is starting to rise, Takahashi spoke - peering out from a small crevice where a hole had been made to view the vast Desert lands from beyond his cave. Since being labeled a threat to his former home by those of the high council Shinji had attempted to seek refuge in various places but none of his relatives would betray their beloved Kazekage. As such, he'd found himself a ways away from the main village in the desert lands where for a while, he lived in peace. Obtaining money for essentials had always been a chore but with his skills and knowledge over Sunagakure as a whole, finding worth while contracts wasn't too difficult.
It's almost time. He remarked.
The previous day
"Listen, are you sure you want to go through with this? Once we put our foot in the door there won't be any turning back. I just want to make sure you know the risks. For the longest time after the words of a close friend broke the air, silence ensued. For only a moment; Shinjin considered the possibility of failure, what it would mean to him and most importantly, what it would mean for his friend here. Could he really live with the guilt? A lump slowly moved down his throat as Shinjin swallowed - bringing with it, all thoughts of hesitation and discontent. "Yeah, I've made up my mind. We will deliver 'that' information at all cost even if it means we die in the process. He tried to hold it together, to be strong, but after years of being a companion Takeshi had learned to pick up on Shinji' unease. Right...Alright then, it's settled. But let me carry the documents."
What? Why?! I'm more capable than you are when it comes to battle - you know that. Yeah, I do. But they know it too. After all, you're the one who went and made a scene the last time. Shinji groaned, You've gotta let that go. The two shared a laugh before exchanging documents - one containing secrets, the other containin falsified information. Alright, we'll meet back up at the Cave tomorrow afternoon. Don't be late.
It was strange, Takeshi had warned him not to be late but was taking the most time himself. Could he have been?- No, thinking like that wasn't good for the mission or himself. Shrugging it off, he moved to preoccupy himself with other things like setting up paper bombs in key locations around the cave. Roughly half the size of a football field, the cave was fairly large and offered perfect shelter against the ever raging wind storms out in the Desert. Not to mention that it'd been just out of reach of the village which meant that he could enter and exit in disguise whenever he so pleased but of course, he chose not to due to always expecting the worse. Besides, he had enough close calls with Shinobi of the Sand to want to deliberately go back to stir up the hornets nest. After this mission assignment, he would likely flee the country and settle somewhere less - eager to see him dead. But for now, he waited on his colleague.
