*[Remove Sealing: Lesser]

Requirements: 5 control, *[Remove Sealing: Tiny]
By doing the needed hand seal, the user traces the outline of a C ranked fuuinjutsu. After doing so, the user places their hand over the seal, removing the seal.
Hideki sighed and stared at the scroll lying on the table in front of him. It was sealed with a moderately complex locking technique but fuuinjutsu was something he had often avoided simply to spite his mother. Now that he needed to open this scroll, he was beginning to regret such a childish decision, even if he had made it as a child. Even someone as logical as Hideki was prone to moments of stupidity when dealing with their parents. With a sigh of annoyance, Hideki flopped back in his chair and leveled a death glare at the scroll, as if willing it to spontaneously combust. The scroll remained stubbornly unlit. Perhaps one day Hideki would develop some kind of eye modification that would allow him to cause spontaneous combustion with his gaze alone. Alas, today was not that day.

Looking down towards the scroll with a rather large and intense amount of sheer, utter distaste, Hideki would sigh as he placed his hand along the edges of the scroll. He knew the basics of removing seals, so theoretically he should be able to break open this one. It would just take a little more chakra and control than normal, right? Deciding it was worth a shot, Hideki made a set of hand seals that he used for the removal of simpler seals and rolled the scroll over until he found a logical starting point for the fuuin that kept it closed. After a brief pause he would run his left hand along the seals of the scroll instead, channeling a very fine and minute amount of chakra into his palm as he did so. With his quite extraordinary precision in regards to controlling his chakra flow in every kind of manner, he wasted not a drop as he began to unravel the seals from the locked and keyed scroll in front of him, be it ever so slowly none the less.

The chakra, despite the amount of control he was exerting over the technique, only managed to cover perhaps half of the inked on locking seal before it started to putter and fade. His attempt to use the hand seals for a lower ranked technique on a higher ranked fuuinjutsu was most likely the problem. While there was some amount of leeway in how much chakra could be added to a technique manually, it was ultimately the hand seals that would determine how effective a technique would be. Given what he knew of the technique he was attempting and what he knew of hand seals and how they worked, the doctor ran through the mental calculations and made the necessary adjustments to the hand seal sequence.

Once more he gathered his chakra down through his arm and pooled it in his left hand, running his hand along the seals covering the scroll. His chakra reached out, his control as fine as ever, the added hand seals and thus extra chakra allowing him to spread it over the outline of the fuuin in question. Steadily it spread until finally the entire seal was glowing with Hideki's chakra. He made one final hand seal and the entire thing simply vanished, leaving an unmarked scroll. The doctor unraveled it to find it was a simple invitation to dinner from his mother.

… He was going to kill her one of these day.

This jutsu is an even further extension of [Broad Sense]. With this jutsu, a sensor sacrifices quality for quantity. They can view to much greater distances compared to a normal sensor, but their ability to differentiate between people starts to become muddled, meaning multiple people in close proximity will appear simply as a large chakra mass, without the users being able to distinguish how many people are there. By sitting down and meditating, they are able to start to sense further and further away. For each post of meditating, they are able to see one third of a mile out, up to a max of posts equal to their control.

[Archive • Chakra Signature]
C-Rank Ninjutsu
By studying an individual chakra source within his range, Hideki is able to record and store that particular chakra signature in his mind. The range at which he can study a single chakra signature is determined by which Senses technique he applies at the time. Alone, this only allows Hideki to record and recall individual chakra signatures with perfect clarity, but it serves as a gateway for other sensory techniques.
Hideki stood across from Oboro, his one-time personal assistant. Since he had left the Head Hunter Regiment and she had remained behind, they were now merely colleagues. That being said, Oboro felt some semblance of loyalty towards Hideki still and the doctor wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth. He required a test subject for his latest project and Oboro was more than happy to comply for once. Mostly because this was the first time in a long time Hideki's project didn't involve any kind of poking, prodding, or stabbing of any kind.

The blue haired doctor closed his eyes and held his left hand in a half-ram seal, focusing his chakra into his senses and then honing them entirely onto Oboro. With his eyes closed, he couldn't see her per se, but he could 'see' her chakra signature. The energy that her chakra emitted, a veritable font of information if one knew how to decipher it. That was what Hideki was attempting to do today. With all of his attention focused on Oboro's chakra signature alone, he could ignore any other signatures that could serve as distractions. He was watching the way it flowed, how quickly it moved, how controlled it was. The 'colours' he could 'see', the output he could feel. He studied all of it, taking it in, memorizing it.

If there was one thing Hideki was skilled at it was recording and recalling information with an uncanny amount of clarity. Right now he was taking that one step further. He was using his own sensory chakra to carve out a portion of his mind to store what he was seeing; this default, resting state of Oboro's chakra that would serve as a basis for any future analysis. When he ordered her to move, he never opened his eyes, but he turned his head out of habit as he followed the movements of her chakra and how they coincided with her physical movements. How the chakra swirled move in each individual leg as she applied more or less weight when taking a step.

Really, the study of chakra signatures was fascinating. It was a shame he hadn't thought to do this before. As he watched, his own chakra was still working inside his mind, recording what he was witnessing with perfect precision. Finally he asked Oboro to stop and let go of his sensory technique. With a smirk, he vanished in a plume of smoke and reappeared in his own office, rather than her office in the Head Hunter Regiment headquarters. From here he closed his eyes and tapped into the portion of his mind his chakra had just been working on before drawing up his Sensory technique again.

Within a few minutes he had found Oboro's chakra, able to easily ignore every other signature in his range due to the fact he knew precisely what he was looking for. This would be useful indeed.

*[Fuuinjutsu • Dimensional Seal]
B-Ranked Fuuinjutsu
By doing the needed hand seals, the ninja then inscribes a fuuin into the ground. After the fuuin is completed (1 post), they do an additional seal, and strike the fuuin with their palm. The seal then expands up to half a mile, augmenting the ground to become a 'forbidden' ground. As long as the seal is active, any summon that's brought onto the field will immediately be returned from where they came. This only works on summoned things, so anything that's stored in storage fuuinjutsu will still be able to come out. Once the user leaves the area or stops channeling chakra to the seal, the fuuin fades away.
Hideki looked across to the animal trapped within a cage on the other side of the room. The beast was no normal animal, some strange hybrid of dog and the element of fire. Such was the norm for spirits though. The beast's summoner was slightly off to the side, Oboro, his former assistant. Hideki had required the use of a spirit for some experiments and she had been happy to provide. Well, he said happy, he had bribed the woman into letting him try a few techniques on the beast that he guaranteed her would not cause permanent harm. At least he assumed it wouldn't cause it permanent harm.

He knelt down, withdrawing his ink pot and brush. Unscrewing the cap he dipped the tip of the brush into the midnight black ink and carefully wiped the excess on the side; in the creation of fuuinjutsu every movement needed to be exact, every line precise. One errant drop of ink and what started as a simple storage seal could became an explosive ten times more powerful than that of the average exploding tag. The doctor performed a set of hand seals, gathering his chakra into his hand, and then down into the brush and the ink. And so Hideki started to draw, carefully tracing the lines of the seal he had studied in depth for the last few hours. He had gotten much better at retaining information since his youthful experiments in the art of sealing. What once took him days now only took him hours.

The black ink started with a circle, characters written so small they appeared to be almost a single line. A square followed, surrounding the circle, and then another square diagonal to the first to make a six pointed star. An even-numbered seal layered over an even-numbered seal, adding to the power. Along either side of the symbol he wrote out the rest of the fuuinjutsu in larger characters. These characters were what guided the shaped part of the fuuinjutsu, or at least would do so when Hideki started actively channelling chakra into the ink. He applied the finishing touches to the seal and carefully laid brush atop the ink pot, ensuring that if by some chance it did drop it was nowhere near the fuuinjutsu.

The first set of hand seals he had performed where to 'charge' the ink with the power to create the fuuinjutsu. But this particular seal required another little application of chakra in order to activate. So Hideki brought his hands together in one final hand seal and then placed his palm against the middle of the fuuinjutsu, passing his chakra into the ink and willing it to expand. Sure enough, the small seal rapidly expanding, the ink racing along the ground, stretching to cover the entirety of the floor in the room they were occupying. The chakra within the fuuinjutsu reacted to the presence of the spirit and triggered the true effect of the seal.

In a cloud of smoke, the fire-coated canine disappeared. Hideki nodded to himself. The seal performed exactly as predicted. Good.

*[Fuuinjutsu • Remove Sealing: Amazing]
A-Ranked Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: 9 control, *[Fuuinjutsu • Remove Sealing: Greater]
By doing the needed handseal, the user traces the outline of an A ranked fuuinjutsu. After doing so, the user places their hand over the seal, removing the seal.
Hideki sighed as he stared at the door in front of him. Why on earth someone had thought to seal it with such a complex Fuuinjutsu was beyond him. Perhaps he would find whoever created the seal and use them for an experiment later. But for the moment, he needed to get into the room that lay beyond the accursed sealed door. Drawing chakra into his eyes with a few hand seals, Hideki studied the seal with a slight frown marring his lips. He had assumed it was a standard locking seal but it was far more complex than that. This was something he had never tried to break before. A small smile replaced the frown. It was going to be something new then. How exciting.

Letting the chakra in his eyes fade, he brought his hands together in another set of hand seals, this time far longer and focusing the chakra into his finger. A maroon glow appeared at the tip of his finger, the colour annoying Hideki. Ever since he had started messing with the balance of his chakra to try and physically interact with chakra-based spirits, his chakra was this accursed colour. Shaking his head to clear his mind of the distraction, he focused on the seal. It was large, covering the entirety of the door in chain-like ink, so it would take time to trace and more than a little skill. Some of the segments of the fuuin were things he had honestly never considered before.

He started at the middle of the seal, a large circular shape right in the centre of the aged wooden door, with the character for 'impenetrable' in the middle of it, which Hideki traced as well, leaving behind a glowing line of chakra. The process was meticulous, tracing the outline of each character, ensuring the glowing line of chakra was completely intact and covering every point of a character or symbol before moving on to the next. It took a level of concentration and a surprising amount of chakra control, beyond the norm that was usually required for a technique of A-Rank level. Not that that particularly fazed the doctor, if there was one thing he had never been found lacking in, it was chakra control.

Once the central part of the seal was complete Hideki moved on to the top left quadrant of the door, having mentally divided the work into subsections in order to better handle it. It would have been impossible to do it all in one swift movement, the seal was simply too large and too complex. So he got started on this particular quadrant, made up of several diagonal seals that linked back to the centre, making precise, deft movements with his extended finger though keeping up a decent pace so as to not spend all day breaking open the one seal. He had better things to be doing with his time. One line became two lines which became five lines and then ten. Soon he was staring at a glowing mass of maroon chakra in the shape of the seals he was outlining. The entire process was tedious and frustrating and caused the doctor to let out a harsh sigh.

He shook his hand out, making sure to keep control over his chakra to avoid breaking the connection between his hand and the tracing he had done already, before moving to work on the next quadrant. This time it was the top right of the door, a mirror image to the top left he had just traced. Ultimately, the more he traced the more similarities he was beginning to find. It was an even numbered seal layered over and over a few times, at least as far as he could tell in the process of unravelling it. That kind of seal took skill to create and with the amount of layers there were no wonder it was so difficult to break.

In his musings on the complexity of the seal, he had finished another quadrant. This one was significantly quicker than the first of the four sections, given that it was just a mirrored copy of the one he had just done. The next zone was, thankfully, a little different and thus required Hideki's attention again. The repetitiveness was beginning to become mind-numbing. Instead of the chain-like designs, well, it still had those, but it had a few intricate patterns almost like a spider web, made up of a number of even numbered designs to further enhance the strength of the overall fuuinjutsu. It really was an impressive piece of work; it was almost a shame to destroy it.

Almost.

Hideki traced this part of the seal with just as much skill as he had traced the rest, his maroon coloured chakra quickly enveloping the black ink until there was none of it left. Finally he moved to the last portion, this time again a mirrored version of the quadrant he had just completed. Line after line was traced and then finally there was no more visible seal, just a mass of glowing maroon chakra that Hideki could eradicate at his will. He took a step back, admired his handiwork for a moment, and then with perhaps a little too much joy balled his hand into a fist. The motion caused his chakra to glow brightly for a moment before vanishing, taking the seal with it without a trace left behind.

[Patient Monitor]
C-Rank Fūinjutsu
A Fūinjutsu created by Hideki in order to monitor the health of others whilst in the field. After writing out the seal directly onto the skin of an individual, on their chest over their heart, the doctor will activate it. Physically the seal is a circle of ink with a blank space in the middle. This seal has no time limit and will last until physically removed, though it can be toggled on and off by Hideki. The blank space in the middle is filled with a number between 1 and 5, depending on when it is activated. Once activated, it will link to Hideki's parent seal, [On-Call], and alert him if the holder of the seal is in danger of death due to their physical state.
Ugh, training. The concept itself was far from foreign to Hideki, yet the act was always one of the most boring things he ever had to do in his career. Especially fuuinjutsu, because although he loved the various wonderful applications and benefits that came his way due to knowing fuuinjutsu, they were inherently boring in and of themselves. There he was, sat over a table, ink brush, ink pot, and blank slates. It was the beginning of new things, for science. Across from him, within arm's reach, there was a male, seated. He knew not even the man's name, for it was unimportant. Next to him, two other men and two women. They each faced Hideki with a blank expression plastered upon their face. Willing test subjects. None of them had clothing of any sort; that would only complicate things and get in his way. The great scientist of Kirigakure dipped his ink brush into the well and began to make the necessary strokes.

He knew exactly what he wanted; he knew it all too well. This was but a part of a series of fuuinjutsu that would supplement his natural iijutsu prowess. This one in particular was meant to aid him in monitoring individual's physical health and general well-being. It required another fuuinjutsu to link to but that was not entirely important to the current task at hand, as he had already created the hub fuuinjutsu. Starting with the first man, he drew the brush round in a circle, letting the bristles wash over the man's chest, directly over where the Hirohito knew the heart to be. Years of study of human anatomy gave him the exact and precise location he knew he would have to make the circle. Inside this circle, there was blank canvas. He drew out the number one, for this was his first subject.

This series of events would continue, Hideki having applied a miniature droplet of chakra into the fuuinjutsu of the first subject before moving on to the next. His precise control allowed him not to waste any of it. The next male received an identical circle in both size and location. However, on the inside of the circle Hideki placed a two, rather than a one as before. He performed the exact same movements on the next patient, but with a three. The women as well, earned their circles upon their chests with a four and a five to boot. It was complete.

[Denial of Passage]
A-Rank Augment Fūinjutsu
A two-part Fūinjutsu used in order to restrain individuals to a specific area. The first part of the seal is applied to the captor's neck, going all the way around like a choker, with the symbol for 'Pain' on the back of their neck right over their spine. The second seal is then placed on a specific point taking up a 1m2 area. When the seals are triggered, the binding seal activates and ties to the captive seal. As long as the seal is active the captive will be unable to move more than 5 meters away from the binding Fūinjutsu, experiencing sharp lances of pain akin to daggers being stabbed into their spine if they and paralyzing them from the neck down. The captive seal can be applied to 3 times before requiring another binding seal.
"You can't do this to me! Do you have any clue who I work for!? My boss will gut you for this!"

A middle aged man was currently struggling against the leather straps of a stainless steel operating table, completely naked and under a blinding overhead light. He was covered in tattoos, symbols of his devotion to his gangster overlord, a record of every job he had ever done. It was quite the impressive rap sheet, really.

Out of the shadows a lone figure stalked forward, causing the man to start struggling even harder. The figure was naught but shadow, the only thing visible about his was a glinting pair of spectacles, reflecting the image of the naked man struggling to escape his fate.

"I believe you shall find I can do whatever I like with you. You are nothing but trash, the muck on the sole of the boot of greater men. Your existence is meaningless. Your boss's existence is meaningless. The work you do is meaningless." The figure leaned in, the light breaking through the shadow, revealing the blue haired form of Hirohito Hideki. The man on the table started to scream. He knew the stories. Everyone knew the stories about the mad scientist. "Don't worry though. I will give your life meaning," the doctor paused and cocked his head to the side, a sardonic smirk twisting its way across his lips. "What little remains of your life at least."

"No no no, please no. I- I'm beggin' you! Please!"

Hideki just smiled and pressed a glowing finger to his forehead. Instantly the man passed out, the chakra scenting him into the equivalent of a medically induced coma. With a shake of his head, Hideki took out a pot of ink and a paint brush. He was curious to see if his latest creation was effective.
Hideki started to write out the calligraphy he would need to create his new seal. Yanking the unconscious man's head forward, he started at the back of the neck. Each brush stroke was meticulous, tiny traces of chakra dripping through his tenketsu and into the ink as he wrote. In the creation of fuuinjutsu every movement needed to be exact, every line precise. One errant drop of ink and what started as a simple storage seal could became an explosive ten times more powerful than that of the average exploding tag. The last thing Hideki needed was to be cleaning up an exploded skull.

When Hideki was done with the seal around the man's neck it looked like a solid black tattoo in the shape of a choker; the characters so tightly compressed they were difficult to make out to the untrained eye. The only part of the seal that was obvious was the large character right in the middle of the back of the man's neck; the symbol for pain.

Moving away from the table, he started to paint more symbols onto the ground. These characters were what connected the seal on the ground to the seal around the man's neck, or at least would do so when Hideki activated the technique. He applied the finishing touches to the seal and carefully laid brush atop the ink pot, ensuring that if by some chance it did drop it was nowhere near the fuuinjutsu.

As he stood up he drew forth his chakra, channelling it into the ink, causing it to take on a glow as the seals guided the energy in much the same way hand seals normally would. The ink around the man's neck started glowing as well. Undoing the leather shackles that kept his latest test subject bound, he stepped out of the confines of the circle before he made a single hand seal.

Immediately the man's eyes shot upon. It took him a moment to realize he was awake and unbound, and that Hideki was just standing there completely unarmed. With a defiant cry he leapt from the operating table and made to tackle the doctor. The second he stepped outside the circle on the ground, the seal around his throat flashed and a scream of pain tore its way from his throat as he collapsed to the ground.

Hideki walked forward and ran some chakra through his body. As he suspected, the man was now completely paralysed.

"Excellent."

[Three Directions Sealing Barrier]
B-Rank Charge Fūinjutsu
A set of three fūin used in tandem in order to set up a trap. Hideki begins by marking three points an equal 5 meters from each other in order to form a triangle; these can be applied via tags marked with the technique formula or the technique formula can be applied directly to the point. Once in place, Hideki will channel chakra into the technique formulae and set the trap. The next chakra signature to enter the zone that does not belong to Hideki will trigger the trap, causing a pyramid-shaped barrier to spring into existence at a Speed of 15, the three technique formulae acting as the three points of the pyramids base. The barrier has a strength of 25.
Sometimes Hideki thought he had a little too much fun messing with the scum he dragged in to use as live test subjects. His next experiment was going to be interesting, to say the least. Still, it did require some preparation work, and so he found himself once again with a pot of ink and a brush, drawing away on the floor of his basement. This particular technique required the use of multiple fuuinjutsu formula and his unique understanding of chakra signatures. Everyone had one, even the untrained. By applying the knowledge to the art of fuuinjutsu, it was entirely possible to prevent unauthorized chakra signatures from entering an area.

He finished painting the first seal, applying a little chakra to it to ensure it dried and was ready to be activated, before he measured out the distance between that one and where the next one should go. Each seal would be similar; a triangular array of characters with a blank tip pointing towards the middle of the three formulae. Each one was exactly five meters apart, Hideki was good with mental measuring, and he knew that each one was written out flawlessly. Not to brag but Hideki was particularly skilled with fuuinjutsu, he could probably write the more basic ones in his sleep without risk of blowing himself up.

Channelling chakra into the three seals, they lit up for a moment as they triggered before once again fading into black paint. The doctor made his way down the hallway a little and opened one of the doors, revealing his latest test subject; the middle aged gangster. Making a hand seal, he deactivated the seals that kept him bound to his little circle around the operating table before walking away without saying a word. Of course the foolish man wasn't as eager to get paralysed again. He took a few tentative steps towards the outline of the fuuin and, once he stepped voer the line and realized he wasn't collapsing in agonizing pain, was quick to make for the door.

Hideki stood in the shadows, waiting. The man ran past Hideki, completely ignoring the dark alcove in favour of the freedom that the door at the end of the hallway offered. The second his foot stepped past the first of the three sealing formulae that Hideki had finished painting earlier, the three points glowed and released solid walls of chakra, creating a barrier of energy around the gangster. He screamed and punched against the wall, achieving nothing. They didn't even waver in the slightest.

"You're a sick fucker, you know that!?"

Hideki just shrugged. "It's been mentioned once or twice by your compatriots in the past. I do wish to thank you for assisting in my experiments though. You're far more efficient than a mouse would have been."

[D-Rank Seal Destruction]
C-Rank Removal Fūinjutsu
Prerequisite: [D-Rank Seal Removal], [Chakra Read • Fūinjutsu]
Hideki channels chakra into a seal he can sense within 20m of his position. After doing so he completely overrides the seal's chakra, destroying it. This does not protect against any traps that may occur as a result of removing a seal.
Hideki sighed and stared at the scroll lying on the table in front of him. It was sealed with a rather simple locking technique but it was still rather annoying to have to deal with. Looking down towards the scroll with a rather large and intense amount of sheer, utter distaste, Hideki sighed as he decided to try something a little different.

It would just take a little more chakra and control than normal.

Deciding it was worth a shot, Hideki closed his eyes and brought his chakra forth, focusing it into the seal in front of him without ever actually touching it. Channelling a very fine and minute amount of chakra into an imaginary finger, he began to trace the seal and overflow the chakra within with his own.

Hideki frowned as he opened his eyes and considered the process. Breaking down fuuinjutsu was simple enough with direct contact. What he was attempting to do, to tear it down without every physically interacting with the seal, was a feat he had never attempted before. Perhaps instead of attempting to mimic a finger tracing the outline of the fuuinjutsu was the problem. Simply coating the entire sealing array in his chakra and then forcing it through the seal should be enough. Occasionally brute force coupled with finesse was a finer solution than finesse alone.

Admittedly experimenting with a new technique simply for the sake of it was likely part of the reason.

Once more he gathered his chakra, feeling it flow from himself to the seals covering the scroll. His chakra reached out, his control as fine as ever, adding a little extra power to the technique which was allowing him to spread it over the entirety of the fuuin in question rather than just the outline. Steadily it spread until finally the entire seal was glowing with Hideki's chakra. He made one final mental push and the entire thing simply vanished, leaving an unmarked scroll. The doctor unraveled it to find it was a simple invitation to dinner from his mother.

… He was going to kill her one of these day.

[Muscle Cramp]
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Hideki channels chakra into a senbon, causing it to take on a green glow. When it next makes contact with a target within 3 posts, the chakra will pass into the target and then begin attacking the muscles of the arms of the victim. The chakra causes the rapid and painful contraction of the muscles, resulting in a sharp pain and an involuntary loss of control of their arms for a single post, causing them to drop anything they were holding or stopping any hand seals they were performing.
"Do hold still. This will only a sting a little if you simply relax. Keep struggling and it will hurt."

"Fuck you you sick fuck!"

Hideki only sighed and shook his head before lifting a senbon from a nearby table, lining it up with his latest test subjects forearm. He was performing a new set of experiments this time around; rather than testing new seals he was playing around with the limits of what could be achieved with Medical Ninjutsu. While most only thought of the healing applications of the art, Hideki was considering using it for the reverse. Manipulating his victim's body with Iijutus should be child's play. And so he was beginning with something simple.

Channeling chakra into the needle, he adjusted its composition and rate of flow as it left his body and infused the steel, causing a light green glow to envelop the senbon. It had taken a lot of training to be able to perform medical Ninjutsu without hand seals, but it was worth every second he had spent on it. Encoding orders into the chakra without hand seals was so much more efficient, he could work with his tools and prepare his techniques at the same time this way, instead of having to put down a scalpel and making hand seals to stop excess blood flow he could do it while still cutting.

The chakra he had channelled into the senbon was encoded so that it should, in theory at least, spread through the nearest limb of a target to the point of contact. If the senbon were to hit them in the chest, it wouldn't do much, but in the arm or leg and the chakra within the needle would force its way into the target's tenketsu and rapidly contract, forcing the muscles within the tense up along with the chakra.

Pressing the senbon down, he applied just enough pressure to cause a tiny pinprick, a small droplet of blood welling up from the gangster's bound arm. The glow from the needle immediately passed from the needle and into the arm, spreading out over the point of contact and seeping in through the man's pathetically underdeveloped tenketsu to reach the muscle below. A second passed and Hideki frowned, wondering why nothing was happened, when the man suddenly let out a harsh scream amidst his tirade and his arm jerked violently, the bindings preventing it from curling up but Hideki knew the signs of a cramp well. The doctor smiled. This was indeed an excellent start.

[Localized Paralysis]
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Hideki channels chakra into a senbon, causing it to take on a green glow. When it next makes contact with a target within 3 posts, the chakra immediately seeps into the muscles and nerves of the nearest limb. This chakra serves to cut off the signals from the brain that control motor function, acting as essentially a barrier between the nerves in the limb and the neurons from the brain, painlessly paralysing the affected limb for 4 posts.
With his recent success fresh in his mind, having occurred literally only a moment ago, Hideki was quick to move on to the next technique he had written out. He had a large scroll filled with ideas and jutsu theories which he was now putting through the paces. Theories were pointless without experimentation to provide evidence as to their viability or otherwise. Once more he channelled chakra into his needle, having swapped out the old one in favour of a new, sterile one in order to avoid any risk of infection. He so hated the idea of wasting chakra healing this fool in order to continue his experimentation.

Hideki had gagged the man this time, having decided he didn't feel like dealing with his constant swearing. It wasn't the language that annoyed him, it was just an unnecessary distraction. Concentrating on his chakra, he drew it fourth and channelled it along his arm and through his fingertips, coating the senbon he was holding until it took on a green glow once more. Like usual he encoded the chakra with directions as he channelled it, the way the chakra would move and flow when the conditions of its use were met. This time around he planned to completely paralyse the arm instead of causing a cramp. It was the next logical step.

Pressing the needle down, the chakra flowed from the senbon into his test subject's arm, once more causing it to take on a subtle green glow as the chakra went to work. Hideki waited a moment for the chakra to die down and settle in. In theory the chakra would serve as a sort of barrier between the neurons from the man's brain and the receptors in his arm, rendering it completely useless for as long as the barrier was held. It would also cut it off from any sensations; he wouldn't be able to feel what he was holding or the wind that ran across the skin or even pain.

Once Hideki had allowed enough time to pass, he put down the needle in favour of a scalpel. The look in the man's eyes was screaming 'DON'T DO IT'. Hideki smiled. Without so much as a second of hesitation, he drove the scalpel down into the man's forearm. Nothing. No twitch, no scream of pain, not even a flinch. The doctor dragged the blade down, cutting open the skin of the forearm enough to reveal a good section of the muscle and tissue below. Still no reaction.

Fascinating.

[Regeneration Suppression]
A-Rank Ninjutsu
Hideki channels chakra into a senbon, causing it to take on a green glow. When it next makes contact with a target within 3 posts, this chakra passes into their system, flooding it with Hideki's iijutsu chakra and preventing the body's natural healing process. This lasts for 5 posts and those with Regeneration abilities or being healed by an outside source require more Control than that of Hideki to override his suppression.
The large wound on the man's arm, courtesy of Hideki's scalpel, was bleeding rather profusely which presented another opportunity for Hideki to test his skill in manipulating the human body through the use of Medical Ninjutsu. Getting up and walking to the door, he poked his head out and grabbed the first person who happened to be walking past. Thankfully it was Oboro, whom he knew was more than capable of using the Mystical Palm technique. "I need you to heal this man's injuries." The look she gave him told Hideki exactly what she thought of his asking for help. Hideki sighed and shook his head. "I am going to attempt to override the healing process. Obviously I can't heal him while trying to override the process at the same time." Oboro sighed and shook her head but otherwise said nothing and simply waited.

Hideki moved back over to his bound and gagged test subject and picked up a third senbon. This one would take a little more concentration than either of the previous attempts to mess with the limits of Medical Ninjutsu. The last two had been simple enough effects and localized to a single limb. This, if successful, would affect every cell in the man's body simultaneously. So he began channelling chakra, his hand and the needle it was holding taking on a green glow. The time it took to program the chakra was significantly longer than his last two uses and the glow was significantly brighter, indicating just how much more chakra this was taking.

Once he was done and sure he had encoded the chakra correctly, he pressed the needle down to the man's paralysed arm and let the chakra flow from the needle and into the man's system through his tenketsu. There was a moment where his entire body was glowing green before the chakra sunk down into the cells and the glow ceased. Turning to Oboro, he motioned for her to attempt the healing process. The thing about the Mystical Palm technique was that it didn't undo the damage done. It simply accelerated the natural healing process and enhanced it with chakra.

She made the hand seals and pressed her glowing hands to the large scalpel incision on the gangster's forearm. The chakra went down into the wound as expected, and Oboro turned to offer Hideki a sarcastic smile. Hideki offered his own in return and gestured to the wound. Nothing was happening. The woman scowled and poured more chakra into the technique but still the wound refused to heal.

"It would seem that technique works rather splendidly."

[Autoimmune]
A-Rank Ninjutsu
Hideki channels chakra into a senbon, causing it to take on a green glow. When it next makes contact with a target within 3 posts, this chakra passes into their system, flooding it with Hideki's iijutsu chakra and rewrites their immune system, causing it to attack the host's body. For the next 3 posts their own body will attack itself from the inside, causing internal bleeding and damage to their organs, resulting in the coughing up of blood and constant pain. The damage from this will persist even after the chakra fades until the target gets assistance from a medical ninja.
Now knowing he could affect the body on the cellular level with his Medical Ninjutsu, Hideki decided it was time to try something a little more risky. Instead of ceasing a process, he would attempt to rewrite one entirely. The theory was he would make the one he infected with his chakra's immune system believe that there was a foreign substance within the host body and needs to be eradicated. The resulting internal damage would be caused not by Hideki's chakra but by the target's own immune system. It was an ingenious idea really, that was if it worked as he intended it to. If it didn't… well, he would cross the bridge when he came to it.

Closing his eyes he drew his chakra from his core as he started to encode it with no more than his own mental control. Hand seals were a thing of the past for the doctor. Encoding the chakra, he made sure there would be enough to affect the entire immune system on the cellular level and began rearranging the structure of the chakra to it would act as a foreign substance that needed to be rejected by the host body. It wouldn't last long, maybe a few moments or so, but that was all he really needed to do some serious internal damage to the poor fool who got caught on the receiving end of this technique.

Looking down at his poor gangster test subject, he wondered if he was pushing the man too far too quickly. Admittedly Hideki didn't care about his life, it was more the inconvenience that having to go and capture another live test subject that was bothering him. Still, there was work to be done, putting aside his concerns for the moment, Hideki lowered the senbon until it was digging into the man's chest. He pushed hard enough to break the skin and watched as the chakra lowered into his system, the glowing energy vanishing after a moment.

Pulling the senbon away, he channelled chakra into his hand and then pressed it to the forehead of the strapped down gangster. Closing his eyes he spread the chakra through his body, feeling for any abnormalities and damages. He soon found his own chakra, infecting the sod's immune system. Sure enough he felt it as the man's body started attacking itself in an attempt to destroy an non-existent virus or parasite. Soon enough the man was choking on his own blood, the gag preventing him from coughing it up. Hideki sighed and removed the leather, allowing the man to turn his head to the size and spew out all the blood that had gathered in his mouth and lungs.

He was definitely going to reach his expiration date soon.

[Myocardial Infarction]
S-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 40 Ninjutsu, 50 Control
Hideki channels chakra into a senbon, causing it to take on a green glow. When it next makes contact with a target within 3 posts, the chakra will pass into the target which then attacks the heart, interrupting the blood flow and damaging the muscle. Each post after this technique has been applied the victim will gradually grow weaker, losing 10 Stamina per post for 5 posts. They have until their Stamina reaches 0 to receive medical treatment, at which point they will suffer cardiac arrest and die.
"I must say, you've been a most useful subject."

"F-f-fuck you." The gangster that had once been so full of pride and zeal was now struggling to get words out, his body was constantly shaking from the pain he was in, and blood was visible in his mouth when he spoke. But he still had sass. Hideki could appreciate that. Lifting one final needle, Hideki held it up to the light, turning it over between his fingers, as he began to channel chakra into the long, slender piece of sharpened metal.

"I warn you, if this technique is successful, you will die. You can consider it penance for your numerous crimes against the citizens of Kiri if you like."

"I-I will k-kill you."

"No, you won't."

The chakra he was channelling into the needle was of a higher grade and of more numerous amount than anything he had attempted before. And yet the premise behind what he was about to do was far simpler than any of the other techniques he had tested on his soon-to-be expired test subject. The heart was a tricky muscle to manipulate. There were tenketsu and chakra pathways that surrounded it in such an intricate manner that trying to use chakra on or around the heart was always a risky procedure. Hideki was relying on that intricacy to induce a fatal case of cardiac arrest. The chakra was, should his theoretical technique prove to work correctly, going to attack the heart muscle and slow down how effectively it circulated blood until it couldn't do it at all.

It was a slow and painful way to do but also an effective one. There was little a normal human could do to prevent it. Unless there was a qualified medical ninja close by the technique would kill whoever it affected in only a short amount of time. Death was the unavoidable conclusion. The problem was the amount of chakra and the amount of control necessary to manipulate the technique without having to constantly make adjustments. He had to essentially program a number of contingencies into the technique in the preparation stages and once it was in effect it would be entirely out of his control. Hideki didn't like leaving things up to chance but in order to make the technique combat viable he had to make this necessary sacrifice.

Once he had gathered enough chakra into the needle and was sure he had made the necessary adjustments to its composition, he tapped the needle against the gangster's chest. He didn't even draw blood this time. It wasn't necessary. So long as the needle made contact the chakra could pass from the senbon and to the host's chakra circulatory system. Dark blue eyes watched as the green glow sank into the skin around the gangster's heart. The doctor stood up and channelled chakra into the man, measuring his vitals, so he could monitor how effectively the offensive medical Ninjutsu would be.

Within moments he registered a sudden drop in blood pressure as the chakra began to attack the heart and the tenketsu around it. With the drop is blood pressure, the rest of the vitals started fluctuating wildly out of control. The gangster was screaming, blood was coming out of his mouth, but Hideki watched completely impassive to the situation, his mind focused entirely on monitoring the man's steadily decreasing health. It took a moment for the first seizure to pass but when it did the heart rate steadied for a moment. It was weaker than it had been, the chakra having done a significant amount of damage to the muscle.

"This… is taking longer than I anticipated it would."

"I t-t-told you didn't I? I'm go-go-going to kil-" The man's declaration of Hideki's impending murder was interrupted by a scream of pain. Hideki felt his chakra attacking the heart again. Not quite how he intended the technique to work, but perhaps by combining subsequent attacks on the heart and the natural strain placed on the organ after each attack it would serve in a more efficient capacity than simply attacking the heart once and waiting. Hideki felt the man's vitals plummet once more, the beating of his heart slowing to almost a complete standstill and the blood being pumped through his body wasn't anywhere near strong enough to do a complete circulation.

With each moment that passed the man got weaker. The technique was working like a charm. The doctor smiled a little to himself, ignoring the fact that he was killing a man on a whim, simply to test a theoretical technique. It wasn't as if he hadn't done the same thing a million times in the past. It was nice to know that his skill in Medical Ninjutsu hadn't receded in his pursuit of other avenues. The man's vitals finally flat lined as his heart gave out. Hideki cancelled the technique that let him keep track of how efficient his experiment had been and sighed.

Poking his head out of the door, Hideki called into the hallway. "Clean up required in examination room 3."

The only answer he got back was the vague call of "Again!?" from somewhere up stairs.

By making physical contact and channelling chakra through a person or an object, Hideki can teleport them to any part of his Realm. The target can choose to resist this if they have a control of 10 or more.
Hideki had once again found himself in the basement of the SRI building, the walls safely covered in seals that would prevent him from doing any real damage to the building or the outside world in case this went wrong. While he had been playing around with a number of new techniques lately, he had been neglecting his experiments into the manipulation of space-time with Ninjutsu. It was time to rectify that mistake.

Scattered around the room were a number of objects ranging from no larger than a kunai to a statue the size of Hideki himself. He knew he could teleport himself to his alternate dimension made purely of chakra, and he knew he could take objects or people with him if he so chose. This experiment was to see if he could teleport items into the dimension without having to go along with them.

Stepping up to the kunai, he closed his eyes as he drew on his chakra and reached into the back of his mind for the connection he shared with his Realm. He could reach it with a practiced ease now. Once the connection was established, he drew on the chakra that made up the Realm and channelled it down along his arm, mixing it with his own naturally occurring chakra, and letting it pool in his fingertips. He would worry about trying to teleport things from a distance once he had ascertained whether it was even possible to do with physical contact.

Picking up the kunai, he flooded it with the chakra he had created when he successfully established his space-time Realm. At first nothing seemed to happen and Hideki frowned slightly, but then the ninja tool began to grow transparent, like his own body turned when he was disjointed from reality. Hideki frowned, that wasn't the intended effect. He changed the ratio of the chakra mix, adding more chakra from his realm and less from his body. Perhaps that would be sufficient in creating the connection to the alternate dimension.

It seemed his theory was correct as instead of simply turning transparent there was a flicker of energy as the chakra stitches that represented a portal to his dimension appeared along the length of the kunai before it seemed to get sucked within. Hideki tensed his fingers into a loose fist and then loosened them. No remaining residue of the kunai, it was a successful teleportation. Closing his eyes, he teleported to his Realm and found the kunai laying innocuously of the floor of the lobby that made up his Hospital. Hideki frowned a little at that. He would need to work on his aim.

Channelling his chakra to open a one-way portal in front of him, Hideki can call forth a single person or object currently within any part of his Realm at a speed of 10. The target can choose to resist this if they have a control of 10 or more.
Having teleported back to the training room in the basement after successfully completing his experiment to see whether or not he could teleport an object without having to go along with it, the question now was could he draw them back out of his Realm without having to go in after them and bring them out manually. This was going to be far more complicated than the previous experiment for the sole fact that while he had a constant mental connection to his Realm, he couldn't actually see what was there. He would be relying on his memory to picture exactly where an object should be in his realm and then drawing it out with a portal rather than drawing out solely the object. If for some reason the object he was after had been moved, he could end up teleporting nothing but thin air. Or worse, an entire operating table rather than just a scalpel.

Closing his eyes, Hideki focused on the connection he maintained to his Realm and drew up a mental picture of exactly what he was looking for. The lobby of his Hospital, the area he had just left, where he had teleported his kunai to not a moment ago. He knew it's exact location, how far it was from the uncomfortable wooden benches, exactly the way it was facing; the tip was pointed south, towards the 'exit' that didn't actually lead anywhere. Taking a deep breath, he reached out his hand and focused his chakra into the air in front of him, drawing up his space-time chakra and creating a connection with his Realm.

A series of glowing chakra stitches appeared in the air just in front of his hand, slowly but methodically. Hideki didn't dare rush something that could potentially destroy part of his alternate dimension. He would so hate to have to rebuild it. Keeping the image in his mind of the kunai, he finished the construction of the portal and 'pulled' the chakra stitches open slightly. Instead of a blank space there was a dark void that appeared between the chakra stitches. The air seemed to swirl he drew on the portal and its connection to his Realm, creating another portal exactly where the kunai was on the lobby floor.

A moment later there was the distinct clank of metal hitting cement and Hideki opened his eyes, severing his connection to the alternate dimension. The portal closed, sititching itself back together before vanishing, and there on the floor in front of him was the kunai.

After channelling chakra into 2 points within 30m of his position, Hideki will create a pair of portals at a speed of 20 that are linked to one another; anything that passes through one portal will come out of the other at the same speed and strength. These portals appear as chakra stitches in the air, pulled apart to create a 5m2 opening, and lasts for 3 posts. Anything too large to fit into the portal will not be redirected and instead be 'cut off' from the remainder of the object, while the rest of it will pass around the portal.
Picking up the kunai at his feet, Hideki spun it around by the pommel on his forefinger before catching the handle in the palm of his hand. The doctor hummed before looking at the statue he had had brought it with the intention of practicing his Space-Time Ninjutsu on. With a slight cracking of his neck, the doctor took a deep breath and began to channel his chakra, mixing it with the chakra from his alternate dimension, before lifting his empty hand and pointing it in the direction of the statue. The hand gesture was unnecessary but it served to help focus his mind while he was experimenting with new techniques. Once he had mastered the process he could likely do it while he hands were in the middle of a delicate surgery.

Behind the statue appeared the series of chakra stitches that signified one of his portals were about to be created. This one was considerably larger than the one he had created when he was simply summoning a kunai from his alternate dimension, large enough to consume the entire statue if he so pleased. Lifting his other hand, the one currently holding the kunai, he focused more chakra down along his arm and into a point only a few feet away from his outstretched arm. Another series of chakra stitches appeared, again as large as the statue, though both had remained closed for the moment, simply floating in the air.

Closing his eyes, he reached for the connection with his space-time realm, and made another two portals within the alternate dimension. Unlike the two he had created in reality, these two were almost touching, right next to each other. The process was tedious but if his theory was correct then it would prove to be an invaluable tool in combat and other situations. Once all four portals had been established, Hideki channelled a little chakra into all of them and 'pulled' them open, causing the stitches to split apart until they revealed an expanse of darkness which quickly gave way to a mirror.

Looking into the portal at his hand, Hideki could see through it to the back of the statue. When he turned his head to look at the portal behind the statue, he could see himself from a side on angle. It was an interesting perspective to say the least. Still, he needed to test the technique more than just visually. He flicked the kunai rather lazily through the portal by his hand. It sailed easily through the portal, passed through his dimension of the briefest of moments, before it came out and embedded itself into the back of the statues head. Hideki let out a sigh and released his hold over the four portals, letting them vanish.

A useful technique but one that would take time to master. The mental taxation alone of holding open two two-way portals at once was painful.

After channelling his chakra, Hideki creates a 5m2 portal at a speed of 10 within 25m of his position, appearing as a series of chakra stitches that pull open to reveal Hideki's dimension. Hideki can then call fourth a number of items stored within his Realm at a Strength of 30, causing them to be launched in a straight line from the portal. This portal lasts for 3 posts and can expel up to 25 objects stored within Hideki's Realm per post so long as they could all fit through the portal at once.
Hideki had spent the last twenty minutes gathering up every senbon, scalpel, and other miscellaneous small arms he could scavenge from the halls of the SRI and storing them all within his Hospital Realm. He hadn't bothered to sort through them, simply letting them pile up on the floor of the lobby. There was no point, if his next experiment went well then they would all be back in this plane of existence in a few minutes. He had figured out he could draw an object from his realm without having to manually carry it out, but it had fallen to his feet. Now he was going to attempt to draw it out with some amount of force.

So Hideki once again retreated to the fuuinjutsu reinforced safety of the basement and sealed the door behind him. Reaching along his mental connection to his Realm, Hideki lifted his hand and took a breath as he began channelling his chakra into the air in front of him, beginning the process of creating a portal. Once the chakra stitches had formed and he could feel the connection settle to his alternate dimension, right below the pile of weapons he had stockpiled, Hideki sucked in another deep breath and 'pulled' with his chakra.

The portal in front of him opened and spat out a single senbon. It landed a few feet away from the portal instead of right in front of it, so obviously it was possible. Perhaps he simply needed to add more chakra to the portal that was in the Realm. Focusing on the portal, he channelled more chakra into it, almost double the amount he had made his first attempt with. And once more he 'pulled' with the chakra, opening the portal and sucking in as many of the weapons as he could manage. This time a group of five assorted senbon and scalpels came through and he heard the sound of metal bashing against cement as they impacted against the far wall. They simply bounced off, which was to be expected, but it was an improvement.

This time when he manifested the portal Hideki poured almost triple the amount of chakra he had used in his initial attempt, the exertion causing a few beads of sweat to break out on his forehead and jaw. This was the problem with experimenting with multiple Ninjutsu in quick succession, it led to overuse of chakra. Still, he refused to give up when he was so close to proving his technique could be done. With a grunt he forced the portal open and pulled on the other side of it, drawing through a cluster of senbon, scalpels and kunai which rained against the wall of the basement.

Released his hold on the portal, Hideki let out a long sigh and wiped the sweat on his brow away with the back of his wrist. That was enough messing around with space-time for one day.

[Space-Time • Flash Step]
A-Rank Teleportation Ninjutsu
After channelling his chakra, Hideki bends the space between himself and any point within eyesight unprotected by a chakra-enhanced barrier. The speed at which he folds this space and teleports is equal to his control, appearing as if his body simply fades away before reappearing elsewhere in the same moment. By having physical contact with a single person or object, he can bring them along; if they have a Control of 25 or higher than can choose to resist the teleportation. This technique has a cool down period equal to the amount of times Hideki has teleported in a particular thread.

A new day had dawned in Kirigakure and Hideki found himself, rather surprisingly, outside the SRI building and in the courtyard in front of it. Where yesterday had been devoted teleporting items to, from, and through his Realm, today Hideki was going to attempt to bend the space of this reality. He knew it was possible, he already could, but that was through the use of a Fuuinjutsu to act as a guide and it took far too long to be used in the middle of combat. Now it was a matter of taking the concepts he had already proven and applying them to a different set of circumstances.

It was a challenge he was looking forward to.

Closing his eyes, Hideki began to channel his chakra, causing a soft blue glow to encompass the entirety of his body. At this point he would normally hone the chakra in on one of his fuuinjutsu marked areas and simply let that guide his chakra, dragging his body along with it. This time he had no such guide. Opening his eyes, he focused on a point a few meters in front of him and tried to push his chakra in that direction. What resulted was nothing short of catastrophic. His chakra moved forward but his body didn't simply break down and move it, he was physically dragged along and fell face first into the hardened dirt of the concrete, his chakra forcing its way back into his body and making him grit his teeth in pain.

Obviously that method wasn't going to work.

Gingerly pulling himself back to his feet, Hideki dusted off his lab coat and rolled his shoulders. Obviously he needed the fuuinjutsu guide to teleport in that fashion. Eyes remaining open this time, Hideki began to gather his chakra and instead of focusing on a path of travel he began to focus chakra into the point he wished to travel to at the same time. If he required a beacon to travel to, he would simply have to create one out of pure chakra. He refused to be limited to the tedious process of applying a fuuinjutsu every time he wished to move to a point that would normally be out of his reach.

When he was sure that his chakra was steady and the chakra he had built up a few meters ahead of him was stabilized as well, Hideki took a step forward. As he did he applied his space-time chakra to the two points. The space between his chakra and the marked area twisted around him until it was nothing, and as he put his foot down he had moved 5 meters in a single step. Hideki looked back to where he had begun and smirked before turning his eyes to the roof of the SRI building. Again he built up his chakra and took another step, only for the chakra to fade out and his body to start screaming in pain. Apparently breaking down his cells into pure chakra in order to move in rapid succession was painful.

Good to know.

[Preservation]
A-Rank Augment Fūinjutsu
A seal used in combination with a medium to pass chakra through, usually a body of water, for the use of preserving living bio-organic material. As long as the seal remains active, it will flood the medium with chakra and keep the living tissue within in a state of semi-stasis, preventing decay but allowing for chakra-induced healing. If removed from the medium, the chakra still lingering within the organic material will continue to preserve the tissue for at least 5 posts, at which point the natural decaying process will begin. This allows Hideki to make modifications to the tissue and organs held within and observe the changes, rather than sealing them away in a scroll in a state of permanent stasis.

Hideki was hunched over his lab table, scalpel in one hand and chakra furiously rushing through the other, desperately trying to keep the heart on the table in front of him from decaying while he worked. This was the problem with working with older organs, the second they were bought out of stasis within their storage scrolls they began to decay at a rapid rate. It was a pain in the ass that Hideki was starting to get sick of dealing with. When his incisions finally reached the inner chambers of the heart and he saw the part he had intended to modify was already showing signs of decay, Hideki growled and sealed the heart back into the scroll, before tossing the scroll into a nearby waste bin.

Another wasted attempt.

Having had enough, Hideki pushed away from the table and went to fetch and ink pot and a scroll. Fuuinjutsu could store chakra, so maybe he could make a fuuinjutsu to run his medical chakra through an organ to constantly preserve it. It was worth a shot at least.

Once he had his tools and a large enough scroll, Hideki began the tedious process of painting the seals. He had a rough idea of what he needed it to do, and given he had spent years studying the art of fuuinjutsu, experimenting on the fly like this was only… moderately dangerous. A few quick brush strokes and he surrounded the large scroll with characters and symbols that would guide chakra inwards to whatever was in the centre of it. He drew up the medical chakra he normally used when preserving an organ during the transplant process and channelled it into the seals, watching them glow for a moment, before he opened up another scroll and unsealed the heart held within.

Dropping the heart into the centre of his experimental fuuinjutsu, Hideki watched as the chakra began to pass from the seals and into the organ. He arched an eyebrow when it seemed to be working fine. He rarely got fuuinjutsu like this right on the first try. Just as he was about to call the technique a success however, the heart was overloaded with chakra and exploded in a gory spray chunks. Hideki slowly picked a piece of it out of his hair with a scowl. So much for the first try.

Apparently channelling that much chakra directly into the organ wasn't going to work. He didn't particularly like the idea of leaving random body parts scattered about his laboratory atop scrolls anyway. Perhaps he would modify it…

It took him a bit to gather the new tools, but now he had a small metal tub and a few buckets of water. The theory was he could use the water to distribute the chakra over a broader area instead of funnelling it all directly into the organ. He wrote out the seal on the bottom of the tub and activated them before pouring the buckets of water into it. The water took on an eerie green glow the same colour as his iijutsu techniques did but didn't seem to be under threat of suddenly exploding. Unsealing yet another organ, this time a liver, he dropped it into the water. The liver took on the same green glow and floated down towards the bottom of the small tub.

Hideki slowly removed the large plastic shield attached to a headband he had worn, just in case. It didn't seem to want to explode this time. Excellent.

[Restoration]
A-Rank Augment Fūinjutsu
A seal used in combination with a medium to pass chakra through, usually a body of water, in order to restore those submerged in the medium. When activated the seal will flood the medium with healing chakra, capable of regenerating tissue at a rate following the regeneration rules, though it is incapable of regenerating lost limbs or organs. Note that due to the fact that it is an outside source of chakra completing the restoration, there are no permanent stamina drops attached to the healing.
Hideki couldn't believe the sight before he eyes. Three. Three of his employees had managed to go and trigger a highly dangerous and experimental explosive. All of them were groaning and nursing burn wounds. Thankfully there were no missing limbs; Hideki would so have to grow new ones for the morons. Still, he had better things to do than to waste his time healing them individually. In fact, this was the perfect opportunity to test out a new seal he had been considering ever since he had developed his preservation seal. If he could pass medical chakra through a medium to keep something from decay, perhaps he could pass medical chakra through a medium in order to stimulate the healing process.

Leaving the three morons in the infirmary for the time being, Hideki went down to one of the nearby labs to fetch three large tubs, each big enough to hold a grown man. With his experiments last week he knew he needed a medium less he wished to overload whatever he intended to use the fuuinjutsu on, so he would need to fetch some water later, but for the moment he had a fuuinjutsu to create. Reaching into his pouch he withdrew the pot of ink and brush and started to paint. The seal was large, covering the majority of the bottom of the tub, and would likely need to be modified and honed later. The general idea behind the seal was to evenly distribute the medical chakra he would add to it, which would essentially flood the entire medium with a version of the Mystical Palm technique, though perhaps a little slower to take effect.

When he finished the seal, he ran through a set of hand seals and gathered his medical chakra in his hand, causing it to take on a green glow as if he were about to use the Mystical Palm technique. Pressing his hand into the center of the seal, he flooded it with the medical chakra, causing the sealing array to glow green for a moment before fading into black. Now all he needed was to add water and then activate the seal, hopefully. He repeated the process for each of the tubs, using up not a small amount of his chakra reserves in doing so. With a grunt he teleported all the tubs into his space-time realm and made his way back down to the infirmary.

Ordering the three morons out of bed, he teleported the beds away and replaced them with the tubs, filling them with water from the faucet. It took a little time, though he made sure that idiots one, two, and three where in the tub while they were being filled. When they were submerged up to their neck, Hideki shut off the water and made a hand seal, channeling chakra into the fuuinjutsu in each of the tubs.

Cries of shock and horror reached his ears as the idiots realized they were being used for one of their boss's experiments, though they were too injured to get out of the tubs before the fuuinjutsu took effect and the water started to glow green with healing chakra. The cries died down when they realized their wounds were being healed. Hideki frowned a little. He was hoping at least one them would have exploded.

… Just to teach the idiots a lesson of course.

[B-Rank Seal Removal]
B-Rank Removal Fūinjutsu
Prerequisite: 5 B-Rank Fūinjutsu
After channeling chakra into his finger, Hideki traces the outline of a B-Rank Fūinjutsu. After doing so, Hideki places his hand over the seal, removing it. This does not protect against any traps that may occur as a result of removing a seal.
Channelling chakra into the seal with a practiced ease, Hideki studied the seal with a slight frown marring his lips. He had assumed it was a standard locking seal but it was far more complex than that. This was something he had never tried to break before. A small smile replaced the frown. It was going to be something new then.

How exciting.

Letting the chakra fade, he brought his hand up and channelled chakra at the tip of his finger, Hideki stared at the seal and hummed.

Soon he was staring at a glowing mass of chakra in the shape of the seal he was outlining. The entire process was tedious and frustrating and caused the doctor to let out a harsh sigh. Finally, he moved to the last portion. Line after line was traced and then finally there was no more visible seal, just a mass of glowing chakra that Hideki could eradicate at his will. He took a step back, admired his handiwork for a moment, and then with perhaps a little too much joy balled his hand into a fist. The motion caused his chakra to glow brightly for a moment before vanishing, taking the seal with it without a trace left behind.

With that, it was time to go deal with the moron who thought it would be funny to lock Hirohito Hideki out of his own home.

[Blind]
B-Rank Augment Fūinjutsu
Hideki draws a small 5"2 seal on the target, typically the forehead, and channels chakra into it to activate it. This seal removes the target's ability to process visual information, rendering them blind until the seal is removed or deactivated. Any attempt to activate a Doujutsu whilst this seal is active results in an immense amount of pain in the target's eyes.
Ever since his success in creating an artificial Doujutsu for his Kuro, Hideki had been experimenting on and off with different attempts to create new and improved versions. Unfortunately, most of those had ended in failure or simply the recreation of the same doujutsu he had already created, which simply wouldn't do for the doctor. His latest attempt had been a little too successful. They Doujutsu was permanent active and no matter how much chakra the man channelled into his eyes it simply wouldn't shut off. So Hideki was going to resort to drastic measures.

Picking up his ink pot and brush, Hideki made his way over to the restrained man. Hideki had knocked him unconscious for the sake of his own sanity; the man simply would not stop screaming. While he could have removed the eyes he still wanted to experiment further, so this was a happy medium, so to speak. He began painting a series of characters on the man's forehead, channelling a little chakra into the ink as he went to ensure it didn't run. That was the annoying thing about using the human body as a canvas, it wasn't made to be painted on. A few more brush strokes and a flourish of his wrist and the seal was mostly complete.

Ideally the seal would channel chakra into the man's optic nerves, shutting off the connection and preventing him from seeing anything, essentially rendering him blind. That was the theory at least. For all Hideki knew it could cause the man's head to explode. And considering he had already had bits of a human heart in his hair already this week, he would rather avoid that particular conclusion. He went over the seal a second time, adding a few characters to inhibit the amount of power that would be able to channel through the seal at once, and evened out the chakra distribution a little better, before he finally decided that it was about as good as he was going to get it.

Putting down the pot of ink and his calligraphy brush, Hideki brought his chakra into his hand and traced the outline of the seal, leaving a glowing trail in his wake, which sunk into the seal and caused it to glow, setting it. With a touch more chakra, the glow was set and the chakra was constantly swirling through the seal. Making a set of hand seals, he added a little medical chakra to his hand and pressing it to the man's forehead, just above the seal, and brought him back into consciousness.

Thankfully there were no screams. Hideki waved his hand in front of the man's face and got no reaction other than questions as to what was going on and how Hideki made the pain stop. Hideki sighed. At least now he would able to work in relative peace.

[Ethereal Chain Prison]
B-Rank Charge Fūinjutsu
Hideki begins by writing out the sealing array before channeling chakra into it to set it. When activated, a series of three chains made of pure chakra will manifest from the seal, reaching out to grab the nearest life form that isn't Hideki within 10m of the seal. The chains move at a speed of 15 and capture with a strength of 25, manifesting a shackle around their throat and wrists, dragging the capture victim back towards the seal. These chains last for 5 posts unless broken.

Hideki scowled at the scene before him. How on earth did he constantly manage to get into these situation? Lifting his hand, he channelled chakra into his finger tips and began to draw shapes in the air, leaving a trail of glowing chakra in his wake. With each line he completed, each stroke as masterfully crafted as if he were painting using a brush and ink, the doctor created more and more of a sealing array until the air in front of him was practically a solid wall of glowing chakra, with only the occasional gap to show where one character ended and another began.

A thundering roar echoed through the halls and made the man wince a little, the sound of shattering glass reaching his ears. This was why he hated animal testing. He still had to make a few final adjustments to the glowing sealing array floating in the air in front of him before he would finally have the confidence to call it complete. The chakra would, theoretically at least, create a series of chains made entirely of chakra for the sole purpose of capturing a live target and imprisoning it. The only problem was it was likely to reach out for the first thing the seal detected, which in his case would be Hideki.

Not even a giant monkey rampaging through the halls of his building could rush him into making a novice mistake like that.

He didn't even want to know who thought bringing the monkey into his labs would be a good idea.

His finger twitched quickly, writing a series of even smaller characters behind the current sealing array, adding in the clause to the technique that would make it target the nearest lifeform that didn't have his chakra signature. Final set of characters complete, Hideki channelled one last bit of chakra into the floating array and let it go to work. From the seal a set of three blue glowing chains shot forward, despite being made of chakra they seemed to make the sound of actual metal chains. Hideki noted how slow they seemed to move, he would need to work on that later, though he hoped that the speed wouldn't translate to the strength of the chains as well.

Thankfully his idiot employees had the presence of mind to move out of range of the seal as soon as they saw it, which left only the monkey within range of the sealing array. There was a howl of rage as a set of three distinct clicking sounds seemed to echo through the halls and the chains started to get dragged back towards the seal. Despite how much the monkey thrashed, the chains held up.

That taken care of, it was time to use whoever brought the monkey into his lab as his next experiment subject.

[C-Rank Seal Destruction]
B-Rank Removal Fūinjutsu
Prerequisite: [C-Rank Seal Removal], [Chakra Read • Fūinjutsu]
Hideki channels chakra into a seal he can sense within 20m of his position. After doing so he completely overrides the seal's chakra, destroying it. This does not protect against any traps that may occur as a result of removing a seal.

Perhaps he would have been better off letting someone else delve into an ancient crypt that supposedly housed the remains of an ancient sealing master. Or at least let someone else go in ahead of him as fodder. But no, Hideki had decided that anyone else would most likely destroy any secrets the crypt held and so here he was, covered in layers of filth, progressing so slowly through the accursed place Hideki was beginning to loathe ever hearing of it. At least it was definitely the right place.

Closing his eyes, Hideki reached out with his chakra and found the next seal in a long line he had dealt with already. The place was booby trapped like a paranoid rogue wouldn't even bother with. Breaking down seals from a distance was always more difficult that doing it up close, but Hideki persevered. Channelling his chakra, he sent it outwards and to the seal until it was nestled nicely over the sealing array, coating every inch of it despite the fact that Hideki couldn't actually see what was happening. This was why he relied on his Mind's Eye for this particular method of seal removal, one wrong move and he could fail entirely and waste chakra, which was something Hideki hated the idea of.

So he got a firm picture of the fuuinjutsu using his sensory abilities and then reached out with even more chakra, coating the seal he could sense as if he were painting it with a brush, covering every aspect of the foreign chakra until Hideki could sense nothing but his own covering the seal. It took a little longer than he had expected, suggesting the seal was a little more complex than the ones he had been dealing with so far. Hideki made a few alterations to the way the seal was covered, reducing a little chakra here and adding more there. He could just dampen the entire thing and smother it, but that was extremely inefficient.

Once he was sure the seal was covered completely and in the most efficient manner possible, Hideki turned the chakra inwards on itself, forcing his chakra to collapse and sink into the fuuinjutsu below. There was a moment when the doctor wasn't sure if he had put enough chakra into the technique in his efforts to increase overall efficiency but soon enough the seal below collapsed and Hideki was safe to take another few steps into the crypt.

Next time he was definitely sending in cannon fodder first.

[Chakra Read • Sensor]
C-Rank Ninjutsu
By using his own sensory abilities to study the area around him, Hideki is capable of sensing whether or not another sensor is currently using their own abilities. The range at which he can determine this is determined by which Senses technique he applies at the time. Sensor-type Ninjutsu have a distinct set of markers that Hideki has learned to recognize, being able to discern if an Empathy Sensor is at work by noting these particular markers in a wide area of an element or if a Mind's Eye sensor is active by reading the chakra in the atmosphere.

Hideki was stood in the middle of one of the training field of Kiri, a rare enough sight in and of itself. The rarer sight was that Hideki was actually training. Not experimenting with some new technique, but further refining one of his old skills. It had been a while since he had bothered to focus on his sensory skills, a set of techniques he had picked up when he was working with the Head Hunter Division. Since becoming a Bannin he had been expanding his skillsets further than he had ever anticipated. Where once Hideki prided himself on his prodigious talent in solely the healing arts and his ability to manipulate poisons, his mind had grown bored of such a linear pursuit.

Hence why he was currently in the training fields.

He closed his eyes and reached out with his senses, not searching for a particular chakra signature but simply expanding his senses to find anyone and everyone around him. As his senses reached further and further out he began to pick up a chakra signature spread throughout a large expanse of mist. He arched his eyebrow a little. Someone was training with the Hidden Mist technique, apparently. But something felt off about it. Like there was too much chakra lingering in the mist for it to be the technique his village was infamous for.

Focusing his senses on the mist, he took note of the chakra. It was evenly dispersed and seemed to be flowing back and forth through the mist and then back to a central point before it pulsed outwards again. Definitely not the usual chakra flow of the Hidden Mist technique. The way the chakra moved was interesting. It didn't seem to expand all the way through the mist, it reached out until it hit something solid and then turned around and went back to the source. Almost like it was reaching out to look for something before heading back, similar to echolocation some animals were known for.

Was that what was happening?

Hideki honed his Mind's Eye even closer, finding a point in the mist that held an active chakra source but didn't seem to be responsible for the mist. As he felt the chakra expand out through the mist once more, Hideki saw the way it reached the chakra signature and flared up, turned around and carried that new information back to the source of the technique. Fascinating. Hideki had stumbled upon someone practicing Empathy-type sensory. He let his focus relax and he took in the entire picture in his Mind's Eye. Now that he could see the whole picture, it was fascinating to watch really. And there were certain markers in the chakra he could feel that were associated with his own sensory technique, despite the different methods in which they were employed.

That was surprisingly useful information. Who knew training could be so illuminating?

[Chakra Read • Backtrack]
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: [Chakra Read • Sensor]
After having determined whether a Sensor is active within his range, Hideki can follow the chakra back to its source. The range at which he can trace the chakra is determined by which Senses technique he applies at the time. This will begin with a general direction over the course of the first post, and by the end of the second post will lead Hideki directly to the source of the Sensory chakra. If the target is a chakra signature Hideki has previously recorded, that information is added to that signature's 'profile'.

Now that he had found out there was another sensory type shinobi in the area, Hideki decided that since he was out here to train he may as well train. Focusing his Mind's Eye on the mist he had sensed earlier, he found the markers he had noted that signified a sensory type technique was in use, before he felt the pulse of chakra surging through the mist once more. It took a minute to pick up the flow of the chakra but once he had Hideki could easily follow the pulse outwards and predict when the next one was coming.

When the next pulse of sensory chakra carried its way through the mist, Hideki honed in on it and followed it when it hit something to turn around and carry that information back along the path it had taken to get there. It was the easiest way he could think of to back track the sensory technique to the originator of the jutsu. Admittedly he could have likely just expanded his senses and found every chakra signature in the area and then made a series of educated guesses on which one was the source of the technique but this way was far more precise even if it took a little more effort on his part.

Hideki managed to follow the trail back a way before he lost it, the chakra travelling to fast for him to keep up in his first attempt at tracking chakra in such a fashion. Chakra signatures were easy to follow, but raw chakra like this was a little harder to keep track of, it moved in its own unique ways. Rather than try and start again or keep searching blindly, Hideki waited. Sure enough another pulse came out, and Hideki only had to wait a few minutes for it to start heading back towards the source, giving Hideki the opportunity to follow it once more.

It took a few more attempts like this but eventually Hideki finally traced the chakra back to the source of the sensory technique. Smiling, he studied the chakra signature as it flared and released another pulse through the mist. He had never seen another sensor at work and, while they utilized different style, it was still fascinating to see from an outside perspective. Noting the chakra signature and the fact it could perform sensory techniques, Hideki opened his eyes and let out a sigh. There was an ever so slight pain behind his eyes, the oncoming's of a headache that he had come to associate with using his sensory technique to often in to short a time span.

[Perfected Senses]
S-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: [Augmented Senses], Ninjutsu/Control/Instinct stats of 40
As an extension of Augmented Senses, the ninja is able to increase the range and power of their sensor jutsu. The ninja is able to view very great distances at not as much of a build up. They are able to pinpoint precise chakra locations at ranges of up to 200 yards away, while getting a general sense of directions and number of chakra sources of up to 400 yards away. It should be noted that this jutsu requires intense concentration, often making the user shut their eyes so they can focus on this jutsu solely. Even with high levels of Chakra Control and Instinct, this jutsu can be mentally taxing as it requires the user to sort through individual chakra sources in the sensor's range.
Hideki was seated on the cold concrete floor of the basement within the SRI building. There was no light in the room, no sound penetrating the walls; nothing to distract the scientist from his current task. The man himself was sitting with his legs folded and lab coat spread out behind him, hands resting lightly over his knees as he focused his chakra. With his eyes closed there was no physical stimulation to his senses to draw his focus away from the chakra he was channelling into the area around him; the chakra that was extending his senses, his Mind's Eye, to the walls of this room and beyond. This was a final test, to see is he could achieve that perfect balance between precision and power that would mark him as a master of the sensory arts.

As his mental picture expanded beyond the walls of the bunker, and further to beyond the building, he started to pick up blue flares of chakra that signified life. First it was the chakra signatures of his employees within the building, and then people wandering on the streets outside, and then even further until he could feel the chakra of everyone within compound that made up the SRI district. As he began reaching the edge of the fifty yard range he had previously maintained, he felt the familiar strain beginning to set in. The one that told him his brain wasn't meant to be absorbing this kind of information from this kind of distance. It was a strain that Hideki had learnt to ignore back when he first started tapping into his sensory abilities. Taking a slow, deep breath, Hideki relaxed even further to his meditation, pushing his senses forth.

There was a moment where he wasn't sure if he would be able to keep going. Like his senses were fighting against an invisible barrier and he didn't have the strength to break it. He kept pushing and shoving until finally the mental barrier gave way and his senses reached out just a little over the fifty-yard mark.

Once he could sense that first chakra signature, that first blue spark of energy, over the fifty-yard line, it was like a floodgate had been opened. His senses went from straining to get past fifty yards to expanding well beyond, reaching out a few yards at a time rather than in small increments of a few feet like he was used to. In fact, he was spreading his senses too far too quickly at this point; the effort was taking his previous headache and turning it into a migraine. Hideki quickly released the control he held over his chakra and allowed his senses to recede back to their usual state. The doctor groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose, pushing his glasses up his forehead in the process. He would continue this tomorrow.
It had been a week since his first attempt to 'broaden his horizons' as it were; a week where Hideki had practiced on and off extending his sensory range further without causing him so much discomfort it became impossible to maintain said extended range. Eyes closed, hands tucked into the pockets of his lab coat, Hideki reached out with his chakra, expanding his Mind's Eye and searching out chakra signatures. He was getting a lot faster at expanding his reach, his chakra snaking out to taste each new chakra signature it found before moving on to the next one. A week ago, he would have found himself struggling to maintain this level of concentration, monitoring so many chakra signatures at once, for even a short amount of time. Now he could reach out to his old fifty-yard limit with ease.

Fifty yards turned into one hundred and he could still sense everything with a perfect degree of clarity, though he didn't feel the migraine coming on that he had felt the first time he had attempted to push his limits to such a degree. As he acclimated to the new chakra signatures he was picking up, he constantly kept pushing his senses further, seeking out more life.

He had spent years, decades even, honing his chakra control. He expended no more chakra than was absolutely necessary to use a technique to its fullest. This was no different. Now that he had had a week to practice and adjust, it was easier to maintain the fine control necessary for spreading his senses out over a broad area. It had never been a question of whether he had the chakra or control necessary for such a technique, as he was quickly coming to realize. His mind had just not been prepared for the mental strain of tracking so many chakra signatures. Now though, as he reached out and found even more, a small smile graced the doctor's lips.

This was easy.

[Chakra Read • Evaluation]
A-Rank Ninjutsu
By studying an individual chakra source within his range, Hideki is capable of breaking down and studying everything about the signature. The range at which he can study the chakra signature is determined by which Senses technique he applies at the time. As the body develops both physically and mentally, so does ones chakra signature. Hideki can read these signatures and determine the target's Control, Stamina, Speed, and Strength stats. If the target is a chakra signature Hideki has previously recorded, that information is added to that signature's 'profile'.
There was a curious thing about the chakra signatures of both trained shinobi and untrained civilians. Everyone had chakra, in some small amount, that much was a known fact. What wasn't quite so well known was that every single chakra signature was different. Most who used chakra, even those who used it on a daily basis, saw chakra as chakra. It was an energy that could enhance their fighting ability or heal others. But chakra flowed through every individual cell of the human being, constantly changing to make up the unique chakra that was their chakra signature. With enough experience or training, one could learn to read these signatures as clearly as one could read a book.

Or in Hideki's case, a medical file.

He was in his office, a young man sitting across from him, hands folded in his lap and back ramrod straight, obviously trying to hide his nerves. On the desk in front of him was a file that someone else had put together on the man that was an apparent measure of his strengths, weaknesses, skillset, etc. Hideki sincerely doubted what he was reading was an accurate measure of the man. While he continued to stare, Hideki subtly drew up his Mind's Eye sensory technique and began to scan the man's chakra signature.

Every signature was unique, and this man was no different. Hideki automatically recorded the signature for later; chakra signatures changed over time but not so much he wouldn't recognize it again a few years down the road. That out of the way, he began to delve deeper, picking apart the layers of the chakra signature. First was the physical energy that made up one half of the energy that was chakra, the yang half. This was the most easily measured, the stronger and more physically fit a person was the more prominent their yang chakra would be. It allowed Hideki to gauge the man's physical attributes, which he marked down in the file without ever breaking eye contact.

Next was the spiritual side, the yin half. This was slightly more difficult to measure, as it was made up of experiences and mental capability, and unless it was evenly balanced with the yang half there would never be a perfect amount of control over the combined energies that was chakra. He took note of the man's measured halves, which suggested he would actually have almost perfect control, and then measured the two energies put together for the man's overall chakra capacity. Abysmally small. Hideki sighed and made a final mark in the folder before closing it and letting his technique fade.

This man was a waste of his time. What he needed was someone with a ridiculous amount of chakra, not so little that one B-Rank technique would knock them unconscious.

[Phantom Step]
D-Rank Illusion Genjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Hideki will take a few steps in a direction. Anyone who witnesses him walking those steps will be caught in the illusion. After he stops moving, an illusionary clone will continue to walk along the same path while Hideki himself will simply appear as a shadow on the ground. This only lasts until the beginning of the next post and is broken if Hideki moves from his position.
Hideki was casually strolling through down the main corridor that made up the second level of the east wing of the SRI. It was a rare morning that found the doctor rather relaxed in his gait rather than stalking everywhere. The reason for his current state of contentment was the folder he was reading as he walked. It contained a rather extensive workup on a patient he had assigned to his new favourite pupil. By patient, he of course meant one of his test subjects. As near as he could tell, the man was in perfect physical condition even after being tortured for three days straight. It seemed that, despite Hideki's initial thoughts that anyone the division assigned to his department would be completely hopeless, there was still a glimmer of hope.

It was as he rounded a corner that he noticed it. Barely a whisper of a shadow, if he had been a less perceptive man he would have missed it. There was someone trailing him. With a small sigh and a shake of his head, he snapped the folder closed and tucked it into the pouch he had attached to his belt. Even while he was going about that, he was trying to recall the hand seals for a Genjutsu he hadn't performed in a good long while. If he could recall correctly, then he would not only be rid of his stalker but could also quietly retreat back to his office.

His fingers came together as they formed the seals, his chakra flow building as it responded to his mental commands. With each hand seal, he grew a little more confident in his ability to perform the illusion. It had been a long time, true enough, but it was also a particularly simple technique he was rather fond of as a Genin. When he finished the hand seals, Hideki let the chakra flow about him and he took two steps and wound up in the middle of a 4-way intersection in the corridors. Just as his heel touched the ground on his second step, Hideki stopped and stood stock still.

The chakra that had been prepared in advanced suddenly surged forward and all of a sudden there was a clone of Hideki that continued to walk in the direction he had been heading. He waited for a few moments until he felt something pass over head. Whoever was following him was using the ceiling to avoid being seen in his peripheral vision. If it wasn't for the fact he would have broken the illusion if he moved, Hideki probably would have tried to get a good look at his stalker.

As it was, the shadow continued on down the corridor that illusion-Hideki was walking down. The scientist gave it another few moments before he released his hold on the illusion and quickly ducked down the left corridor. He didn't particularly feel like giving up his good mood to deal with whatever the HHR needed him for, he would recognize those stealth techniques anywhere. His illusion faded and Hideki felt the confusion in the chakra of whomever had been following him. Chuckling to himself, he bent space and stepped through a portal to his office. Perhaps a cup of tea would go well with his good mood.

[Path to Silence]
D-Rank Illusion Genjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Hideki will reach out his hand towards a target. If they see this motion, it will trigger the illusion. A portal will appear in front of his hand and an illusionary copy of his hand and arm will appear from behind the target, reaching over their shoulder to wrap around their mouth. This has no force nor physical feeling to it, simply being a visual illusion, and lasts for a single post.

Drawing on his use extensive use of manipulating space and time to get a one-up on his enemies but not willing to waste the amount of chakra necessary for such a ploy, Hideki drew his hands together and weaved a set of hand seals, something he did not often do anymore. His chakra reared up in response to his need, flowing and changing as each hand seal programmed the energy to do what needed to be done. The scientist dodged out of the way of an oncoming barrage of kunai and shuriken, landing against a nearby wall and splitting his attention for a fraction of a second between finishing the set of hand seals and flowing chakra to his feet in order to maintain attached.

Hand seals complete and chakra sufficiently prepared, Hideki stretched out his hand and felt his chakra run along his arm, down the length of each of his fingers, and then it all rushed out at once, an invisible wave of energy that only Hideki could truly sense. Like a wave crashing against a cliff, his chakra washed over his attackers, though instead of bouncing back as water would it was absorbed into their very skulls, mixing with their own chakra pathways and rewriting the signals to their brains. Hideki smirked as the three men all suddenly freaked out and spun around.

He had programmed his chakra to do one very simple thing. It was a trick he had used on many occasions before, though usually by bending space so he could reach someone without ever taking a step. The image implanted in their minds was one of Hideki tearing open a portal in front of him and then his hand appearing from behind them, stretching out over their shoulder to wrap around their face and cover their mouth. It was a simple illusion, something a child could break out of, but it was the suddenness of it and the fact that he could do the exact same thing with Ninjutsu that made it so effective a tool. How could they be sure if it were an illusion or if it was really him, reaching out to crush their larynx from behind. Precious seconds were wasted in reaching up to grab his hand only to feel nothing.

The scientist took careful aim, though he didn't sacrifice speed to do so, and fired two shots in rapid succession from his senbon launcher. Two heavy thuds later, Hideki stepped down from the side of the wall and looked over his two new test subjects. Oh, he couldn't wait to play.

[True Devotion]
S-Rank Status Genjutsu
Prerequisite: 37 Genjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Hideki will speak the words 'Your loyalty is to me' directly into the ear of his intended target. Once this Genjutsu has been triggered, the victim will find themselves feeling increasingly loyal to Hideki and incapable of conjuring up an aggressive thought towards the man. If Hideki overtly attempts to kill the target or majorly harm them in anyway, this loyalty will break, otherwise this feeling lasts for 5 posts unless dispelled, requiring 37 Genjutsu to break it.
Hideki stared at the man before him. He had bled him dry, flayed his skin from the muscle, subjected him to some of his more interesting and painful poisons, and yet he still had not divulged the information he required. The willpower to suffer through that amount of torture and come out on the other end with only giving up unusable nonsense was almost something to be admired. Almost. He had bargained, blackmailed, tortured, and it seemed he was running out of traditional methods. Perhaps, then, he should rely on an untraditional method. For him at least.

The scientist moved to sit in front of the man, closing his eyes and bringing up all the information he could recall on Genjutsu and how it interacted with the human mind. There was a possibility he could cause the man immense mental suffering, enough to break him, but physical pain hadn't worked so he doubted mental pain would. He mentally disregarded that block of information, bringing up the rest of what he had on the illusionary arts. Perhaps manipulating his emotions? Imbuing the man with a false sense of trust could work. Though it would have to be planted deep, a core function on the man's very psyche. He didn't need trust, he needed the man's absolute loyalty in order to overwrite the sheer amount of damage he had subject the man to.

Bringing his hands together, Hideki very slowly and deliberately began to make hand seals, one after the other, carefully manipulating the flow of his chakra with each motion. Each seal had a specific use and in certain combinations affected the outcome of an illusion. Whether it would affected the senses or the emotional state of the victim, whether it would be long lasting or over in an instant, if it would require a simple trigger or something more complex, whether it was designed to affect a single individual or everyone around. Hideki had to account for all of it. The hand seal string continued, growing longer, far longer than any set of hand seals Hideki had to weave for an illusion in the past.

It only added to the intimidation factor that he was doing it right in eyesight of the man he planned to use it on. The longer he took, the more complex the technique he was preparing became, the more Hideki could see a certain amount of dread in his victim's eyes.

When he had finally finished weaving the hand seals, Hideki gathered his chakra in his throat; more specifically in his vocal cords. He felt the energy humming, ready to be expended when he next spoke. Leaning down, he got right next to the man's ear, and in a simple whisper he spoke the words that would result in all his pain being for nought. It was almost sad that Hideki hadn't thought to try this earlier.

"Your loyalty is to me, now."

As the words flowed past his lips, the chakra escaped his mouth and wound its way into the man's ear, seeking out his chakra pathways and interrupting the natural flow of chakra. Hideki watched with fascination as the man's expression changed. All the hatred, the pain, the dread; it all simply was washed away in the wake of his technique. In it's place was left an expression of fierce determination and unquestionable loyalty. The man was looking at Hideki as if the scientist had just promised him everything he had ever wanted in the world.

Now it was time to test that theory.

Reaching up, Hideki very casually unclasped the iron manacles that kept the man bound to the wall behind him. He immediately slumped down to the ground, legs weakened from a week of misuse and having been healed only partially. He struggled to his feet but Hideki motioned the man away. "Kneel, my friend. It is easier than standing." He did so, making Hideki smile. Standing to his full height, Hideki loomed over the man, shadows spreading across his face as he obscured the light of the room. "Now, tell me what I want to know."

And he talked.

[Merely a Shadow]
A-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Hideki will speak the phrase 'I was never here' in some fashion. All who hear him speak will trigger the illusion. Hideki will appear to fade into his own shadow, simply disappearing into the floor, and this his shadow will vanish as well. While active, Hideki can move around freely completely invisible to those affected by the illusion. Should he attempt to fatally wound the victim, the genjutsu will immediately end, otherwise this lasts for 5 posts.
Hideki stood in a room surrounded by five of his subordinates; by that he meant five random Chuunin he had plucked from administrate duties in order to assist him with a round of training. While the scientist did not often spend time training his skills as a shinobi, his recent successes with the art of Genjutsu in situations outside of the norm had spurred him to flexing his imagination. He was skilled at dispelling Genjutsu but had rarely bothered to cast them. This was a new experience, or at least one he was relearning.

Bringing his hands together, he weaved a set of hand seals, moulding his chakra and shaping it until it swirled up along his chakra circulatory system and gathered in his throat, along his vocal cords, ready to be dispersed over the air and into all five of the Chuunin who were within audible distance of him. A technique like this one, designed to affect multiple people, took more chakra that Hideki was used to using for a Genjutsu, but it was still nothing in comparison to the power he wielded on a daily basis. Taking a deep breath, Hideki opened his eyes and looked around the room.

"I want you all to listen very carefully. I was never here." The second half of his sentence had a little more emphasis, his voice echoing through the sealed training hall. There was a slight quality to the words that seemed to vibrate in the air, carrying more meaning than what was spoken. As the chakra expanded, it struck each of the Chuunin that had listened to his words; not physically of course, but the chakra went through their tenketsu, worked its way into their chakra circulatory systems, and wound its way up into their brains.

To the Chuunin it would appear as if Hideki was… sinking. Straight into the floor, like a melting snowman just without all the water. One moment he was standing there and the next all that remained was his shadow on the floor; after a moment passed that too disappeared from their view. The scientist waited one moment. Two. The Chuunin were looking at each other and then around the room, trying to find where Hideki had gone. It was fascinating, really, how well Genjutsu could affect the senses. If he were to move or even breath too loudly, the sound could give away his position.

Lifting his arm, he waved in their direction. Nothing. Pulling back his sleeve, he very deliberately took aim at one of the Chuunin with his senbon launcher, flared his chakra as if he was preparing to fire, and watched with curiosity as the man gasped and dove out of the way. Human survival instincts seemed to override even a Genjutsu as strong as the one he had cast. Fascinating.

[Suspension of Disbelief]
A-Rank Status Genjutsu
Prerequisite: 30 Genjutsu, 30 Control
After performing the necessary hand seals, Hideki will adjust his glasses, making them flash. Anyone who sees this motion will then trigger the illusion. Over the course of the next 5 posts, the victims of the illusion will be less inclined to question events that don't make logical sense, such as more overt triggers for Genjutsu or events caused by an illusion, and in fact mentally argue that it actually makes sense.
He had tested something that altered the visual senses, the capacity to completely remove his form from the eyes of enemies would be undoubtedly useful, but it was time to test something a little more complex. Genjutsu that targeted the baser human senses, sight, sound, scent, taste, touch; these were common, simple, powerful to be sure but not difficult to cast. Hideki was going to attempt to manipulate the mind in it's entirety; make it question what was normal and abnormal. Or more specifically, make it not question the abnormal and interpret it as normal every day fare.

Thankfully, the scientist had an extremely high amount of knowledge on how the human mind functioned, how certain chakra pathways interacted with certain parts of the brain. It wasn't simply knowledge of Genjutsu that allowed him to excel at the art, it was his medical expertise. He knew that if he triggered certain centres of the brain, he could incite different emotions. Apathy being one of them. Technically speaking, apathy wasn't an emotion, it was an absence of them. Then again, black wasn't a colour, but people still called it a colour so…

Disregarding his own mental argument over how to define apathy before it gave him a headache, Hideki began to go through his index of hand seals and how they interacted with chakra being prepared for an illusion. He knew how each sign moved his chakra, how the combinations would come together in segments to 'program' the illusion. It was just a matter of finding which combination would affect the centres of the brain he required. He mentally created, tested, and threw out five or six different sets of hand seals before deciding on one to physically test. He estimated his chances of success to be… well, astronomically high. He was a genius, after all.

Bringing his hands together, Hideki began to weave the seals, slowly at first, gaining speed as he grew more comfortable that his chakra was moulding in the correct pattern. As the chakra moved from his core, along his arms, and down into his hands and fingertips, Hideki finished the seals with a clap of his hands; the chakra pulsing outwards, carried on the soundwave of the clap, and reaching out to the Chuunin whom he still had not yet let leave his training session. Once he was certain that the illusion had settled into their systems, Hideki turning in a grand circle, arms splayed wide, laughing maniacally into the air, his own voice echoing back at him, making it sound even more insane.

Only one of the Chuunin blinked. And that was to get an eyelash out of his eye.

Hideki's laughter intensified. He was most definitely a genius.

[A 'Friendly' Warning]
B-Rank Warp Genjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Hideki will raise a finger to his lips. Anyone that sees this motion will trigger the illusion though it will remain dormant for the next 5 posts. If they come within 5 meters of Hideki while the dormant illusion is active, an illusionary clone of Hideki will appear by their side. This clone can say or do anything Hideki sets during the initial casting of the Genjutsu, though those that hear it speak will get the feeling that they should heed Hideki's words unless they wish to suffer severe and painful consequences. The clone lasts from the time it is triggered until the original 5 posts are up unless dispelled.
Illusion- and Status-type Genjutsu were the two most commonly employed within the ranks of the common shinobi. Outside of those who specialized in the illusory arts, which were few and far in between, these were often the only types of Genjutsu that people even knew of. Hideki, through his years of study, knew of another kind. One that could manipulate both the sensory nervous systems as well as the mental state of an intended target; commonly known as Warp-type Genjutsu among specialists. The question was, could Hideki wield that power for himself? The answer was obviously yes, he was Hirohito Hideki and there was little beyond him, but to what extent was the true question.

And he now planned to find out, surrounded by a myriad of Chuunin test subjects.

Lifting his hands, Hideki began to weave a set of hand seals for a technique that would normally leave an illusory copy of himself within the line of sight of anyone who was caught in the technique. Simple enough, and an Illusion-type Genjutsu. Half way through the sealing sequence, he modified the hand seals and added a string that would mould his chakra and guide it towards the chakra pathways in the brain closest to the amygdala, the part of the brain that was in part responsible for the human body's reaction to fear. A Status-type genjutsu and one Hideki used fairly frequently; fear was an excellent motivator, after all.

Now the question was how to tie the two together. He could feel the chakra he had gathered already beginning to break apart. Fear and an illusion by themselves were effective but to cast them both at once, saving precious time and chakra, required something more. Closing his eyes, Hideki mentally searched through his index of hand seals and what effect they would have on his Genjutsu at this point. He needed something to tie one technique to the other and create a seamless Genjutsu. Perhaps… if he tied to fear to a specific motion from the illusory clone?

Adding a trigger for the fear was easy enough. It would simply apply when Hideki spoke, it was his most used trigger for illusions after all so it was something he was already familiar with. He just had to make sure that trigger only applied to the voice of Hideki's illusory self and not his physical body. Feeling that the Genjutsu was ready, he added the final hand seal and rose his finger to his lips, gesturing for the Chuunin to come closer. The second they were within range of Hideki, they paused and turned to look to their side, as if listening to someone standing beside them, before turning to look at Hideki's true form with a look of horror.

Hideki smiled and adjusted his glasses, the motion causing the lenses to flare. The gulps seemed to echo in the training hall and his smirk grew even wider.

[Mirror World]
B-Rank Warp Genjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Hideki will initiate this genjutsu by making direct eye contact with his target. The target's vision will become distorted for a moment before righting itself, though after which the world be in reverse. To the victim's vision, left will become right, up will become down, and forward will become backwards; all of this is compounded by the target's sense of balance being manipulated to believe this is correct. This Genjutsu lasts for 3 posts unless dispelled.
Hideki took a step forward, subconsciously channelling chakra into his feet. He knew the illusion was exactly that, an illusion, but his body naturally reacted to being upside down. Or at least as perceiving the world to be upside down. Frowning, he stared at the Chuunin who had cast the technique before flaring his chakra, overpowering the simple illusion with a Genjutsu Kai. The world was suddenly righted, and Hideki's stare turned into a glare. This Chuunin thought he could cast an illusion on Hideki and get away with it? The scientist didn't care he had been doing the same thing to the man for hours, he was a Bannin damn it, it was his right to treat them as play things.

Lifting his hands together, Hideki began to weave a set of hand seals. The Chuunin's eyes widened as he saw the hand seals Hideki was making were the same as the ones he had just used. Except they went on. And on. What was a simple C-Rank illusion for the Chuunin Hideki was upgrading, twisting, until it was his very own version of the technique. He wouldn't simply turn up to down, he would turn left to right and forwards to backwards. He would quite literally invert their world just to prove a point. It was a surprisingly simple process, as it was just one sense he was affecting, just that he was affecting it in its entirety.

Once the hand seal sequence was complete, Hideki turned to the one that had cast the illusion on him and stared dead into his eyes, willing his chakra forward and into the eyes of his latest victim. A beat past and nothing seemed to happen before Hideki moved backwards. The man flinched and tried to run away only to run closer to Hideki, causing the scientist to smirk. Lifting his right hand to smack the man's cheek, the Chuunin raised his arms to guard his left side. Hideki knew striking the man was liable to break the Genjutsu and Hideki still had more testing to do. Forward was back, left was right. But was up, down?

He waved his hand, lifting it high above his head and in doing so summoned a kunai from his personal realm, the blade appearing in a swirl of chakra, which he drove down towards the Chuunin's skull. He tried to dodge, the poor man, but in doing so only seemed to move into the attack. Hideki paused the blade's path just before it could do any damage and released the illusion, smirking evilly at the man. Who knew Genjutsu could be so fun?

[Swarm]
B-Rank Warp Genjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Hideki will reach out an arm, his hand open and fingers splayed. Anyone that sees this motion will trigger the illusion. An illusionary summoning seal will appear in the air before Hideki's hand, out of which a swarm of small nondescript insects will appear and chase down the target regardless of how fast they run. Once they swarm the target of the Genjutsu, they will begin to sting them over and over again, each causing phantom pain equal to a normal insect bite. Each sting causes a small welt to appear on the skin and over the course of the illusion the pain will exponentially grow and spread through their veins, they will begin to find it difficult to breath, and their sight will become blurry. This Genjutsu lasts for 5 posts unless dispelled.
He had tested a number of illusory techniques, most of which didn't have much in the way of mid-combat application. It was time to change that. Hideki was well aware that his methodology towards combat was one of misdirection and sustained damage, rather than overpowering with brute force he took his opponents apart piece by piece. The downside to such a fighting style was, of course, it took time which gave them a chance to fight back. He needed a way to distract his opponents from fighting him and giving them a reason to expend their energy on some other task. Perhaps running for their lives would be both efficient and amusing?

Turning towards one of the Chuunin in the room, all of whom were now staring at Hideki with wary eyes and had a slight twitch to their fingers as if they were getting sick of being treated as training dummies, the scientist smiled. He would be done with them soon enough; his chakra reserves were beginning to grow weaker from constant use on previously theoretical techniques. Lifting his hands, he began to weave a set of hand seals. Now that he knew he could successfully combine Illusion and Status type Genjutsu, why not abuse that fact and make more of those type of techniques? They seemed to be rather efficient.

Creating an illusion of a swarm of insects was easy enough; programming the illusion to give them a realistic source was decidedly more difficult. He settled on created an illusory version of a summoning seal. The more realistic an illusion, the less likely the victim of said illusion was to question it. Insects appearing out of the hems of his coat? Slightly fantastical. Insects appearing from a well-known sigil that summoned all sorts of Spirits? Slightly more believable. Now he had to adjust the illusion to give the mandibles of each individual insect summoned a trigger for pain and poison. Hideki was beginning to strain. Forming the chakra, moulding it to how it should be, all of that was easy. He was just starting to run out of chakra to mould. Drawing on all of his considerable control, he adjusted the current amount of chakra he had and decided on a weaker version. Instead of making them catatonic as planned, he would settle for making them feeling weak.

Lifting his hand, Hideki released the chakra in a pulse and waited for the screaming to begin. And begin it did; the Chuunin were quick to flee the room in an attempt to escape the swarm of bugs. Only two of them had the skill to dispel the illusion but, seeing an opportunity to flee the room, they took it and left Hideki on his lonesome. The scientist fell to the ground and let out a harsh sigh. That was enough training for one day.

After performing the necessary hand seals, Hideki will hold up a vial towards a target. If they see this vial, it will trigger the illusion. Over the course of the next 5 posts they will believe Hideki somehow poisoned them and will become desperate to get the 'antidote', the vial Hideki held up to trigger the illusion, by any means necessary. The longer they go without the 'antidote' the worse they will feel, beginning with a slight case of light headedness and by the 5th post they will feel incredibly nauseous as if the world were spinning.
Folding his fingers through a set of hand seals, Hideki drew his chakra up from his core, moulding it and encoding it with instructions. The majority of shinobi functioned on an instinctual level; do the hand seals and the technique happened. Hideki, as a scientist, had broken down the art of manipulating chakra into its baser components and studied it until there was little left to study. His prowess with Ninjutsu was next to none and his knowledge of Genjutsu wasn't to be sneezed at either. That knowledge allowed him control over his chakra to a point few others would consider possible. He didn't just know the hand seals, he knew what each miniscule movement meant for his chakra, how to change his fingers motion to guide his chakra with more efficiency or for more lethality.

It was also what allowed him to create technique son the fly, in the middle of combat, while being chased by a bunch of less than sane tribesman from one of the lesser explored islands of Water Country. Honestly, he just wanted to find some new ingredients to experiment with. He hadn't set out to desecrate their sacred burial ground. Blasted natives.

Drawing his chakra up into his fingers, Hideki reached into his coat and retrieved a vial filled with Borish Blue. It was a relatively inexpensive poison to make so he had no qualms sacrificing a vial of it in order to test his new technique. Coming to a sudden halt in his run, Hideki spun around and faced the five tribesmen chasing him; they were supernaturally fast, it was fascinating, really. Holding the vial up, he let go of the tight hold he had on his chakra and allowed it to pulse outwards, passing through each of the tribesmen in an invisible wave.

The effects were immediate. They paused in their step, looking down to their stomach as if they all had a sudden and simultaneous gastric movement. The scientist was quick to load the vial into his wrist-mounted launcher. If the technique had worked as he intended, he would seen be home free. Taking aim in a random direction away from where he had left his ship, Hideki fired the vial high into the sky. The tribesmen all screamed out at once, following the vials path like dogs watching a bone being thrown before they started scrambling over each other in an attempt to chase after it. Shaking his head, Hideki set out at a more sedate pace; he had done more than enough running today, thank you very much.

[Listen]
C-Rank Status Genjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Hideki will say the words 'pay attention' in some fashion. All who hear him speak will trigger the illusion. For the next 5 posts, whenever Hideki talks, those affected by the illusion will find themselves drawn to Hideki's words and will want to listen to them, drawn away from whatever it was they were doing previously.
Hideki watched from the sidelines as one of the Chuunin he was working with for this mission was held up at the gates of the building they were trying to infiltrate. There was only one entrance, which meant they had to use that entrance unless they wanted to blast the place. Any obvious use of Ninjutsu would be poor form as well. With a long-suffering sigh, Hideki formed a number of hand seals and gathered his chakra, drawing it up into his throat as he prepared the illusion. Technically speaking he shouldn't even bother to get involved; this kind of work was above him.

The illusion was simple enough, something even a Genin could break. The question was more whether the two gate guards would notice the illusion in time to prevent what Hideki intended. Stepping out of the shadows, Hideki stalked towards the duo with all his usual gravitas. "You there, I need you to listen to me very carefully, so pay attention, I would be loathe to repeat myself." Hideki released his chakra in a pulse as he spoke the words, feeling the energy wash over the guards. They blinked a few times, taking their eyes off the Chuunin they had been talking to, and Hideki smirked.

"I have reason to believe one of you have been less than loyal to the Hidden Mist and, well, that is hardly something I can abide by, now is it?" The more he spoke, the more he drew the duo in. It helped that Hideki was a figure of authority to these two. The chakra lacing his words was making them focus on him, hang on to every word, and when he mentioned that one of them might have been a traitor they both turned to look at the other for a fraction of a second. "Now!" Hideki snapped, drawing their attention back to him, and completely away from the Chuunin who slipped behind the two and into the building behind them. "There are a number of ways I could go about this. Torture. Rip open your mind. Kill you both and simply call it a day. But really, I'd rather one of you confess now and save me some trouble."

Hideki could see the gears turning in their mind, as they both started sputtering excuses and trying to explain how they couldn't possibly be the traitor. Something seemed to click in the mind of the left guard and he looked between Hideki and the other guard, who was now trying to pin the blame on him, before he made a hand seal and then glared at Hideki. The scientist smirked before cancelling the illusion. "For the men meant to be guarding my building from intrusion, you're doing a poor job." Hideki motioned to the third Chuunin he had employed to break into his own building, the SRI, and test the defences.

Hideki had decided to test them himself as well. "Remember, trust no one. Not even me. Especially not me."

C-Rank Warp Genjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, Hideki will swing his scalpel through the air, triggering the Genjutsu in all who see the motion. This genjutsu causes the victim to see the slice from the scalpel appear somewhere on their person, usually their chest, and have it begin to spurt blood that they cannot stop no matter how hard they try. Over the next 5 posts as the blood flows they gradually feel weaker, getting light headed and feeling woozy. By the end of the fifth post they will feel as though they are about to pass out from the blood loss, then the genjutsu ends. The body usually takes a post after the full duration to recuperate from the feeling of near complete blood loss.
Hideki closed his eyes for a moment and began to draw on his own chakra, pooling it in his scalpel while holding it the gap between his forefinger and thumb, twirling it between his fingers and hands as they moved through the seals he brought up in his mindscape. In the darkness that made up his mind, Hideki pictured a large pair of hands as they went through a set of hand seals. With each one, the doctor adjusted his chakra flow to match what he knew the seal to do, programming the chakra to do exactly as he intended. Rather than trying to manipulate the chakra by force, mentally picturing the hand seals gave him the timing and made adjusting the flow of his chakra just a little easier. By the time he had finished channelling chakra into the scalpel and the hand seals were complete, Hideki was sure that this attempt would be successful.

Opening his eyes, he stared at his training partner, one of his assistants at the SRI and previously at the HHR, Oboro, and gave a slightly dark smirk as he stopped twirling the scalpel between his fingers. He could feel the chakra within, waiting to be released. The problem with illusions was that he couldn't simply let go of his control of the chakra and let the technique activate. No, he had to direct the chakra into his opponent's system so it could, essentially, infect their brainwaves. With that thought in mind, he brought up arm up and whipped it in front of him, slicing the air with the blade of his scalpel.

As he made the motion, the chakra within the blade was released and immediately sought out Oboro. While the entire process took only half a second, Hideki felt it took a lifetime as his chakra seeped into his system and went to work. There was a shadow of doubt, lingering in the back of his mind, which told him he had once again failed in his attempt to get the illusion to work without hand seals before he heard Oboro's surprised scream.

A slow smirk spread across his lips as he watched the young medical technician feel at his stomach, making sure she hadn't actually been cut so deep it would have made her intestines spill out. Again, Hideki started twirling his scalpel as he arched an eyebrow towards Oboro when she looked up at him. He would have to make it faster, this time.
