The First Step to Fixing a Problem
Alright so the first step is admittance, and seeking help when you need it. I've come at leading from the wrong angle, tried to imitate, and play the same games with the same style which doesn't work and isn't received well. Of which I've tried to reinforce, rebuild, and redo this same style of leading which is ineffective. It doesn't build good morale, it doesn't get us anywhere in a discussion, and it simply brings down productivity/drive. I've come to have a slight disdain for the site for the way I get treated and talked about, but I cannot blame those who talk about me this way. Because the key is perception, and perception is what you make it. And I've made myself an asshole for lack of a better word.
I've portrayed confidence, but it wasn't confidence that was received but instead pompous arrogance. Which isn't the way you guys should feel about a leader, and certainly isn't the image that should be portrayed. There should be confidence in actions, but confidence in that it will better the site. Not arrogance in that you always know better. For arrogance is what destroys communities as it fills leaders with irrational opinions, and self over-inflated worth of knowledge. I should be confident in the site and its ability to preserve and solve problems. Not as if I hold all the answers, because to be honest why would I have an admin team, a productive member base to make suggestions, to help solve problems even we can't solve.
So my point of all of this is to say, I messed up, and I haven't been giving you guys the admin you deserve. This isn't a resignation, this isn't me saying goodbye or promoting someone. This is me asking you guys how can I better myself into a leader you wanna see, how I can better handle situations, treat, and discuss problems. Obviously not being the rude, arrogant, and pompous person I was trying to be, but a more productive person. What are key problems you see with me, and how I handle things so that I can better improve upon myself. Because what I've been acting like isn't the real me, and it's time for me to start stepping up to be who you guys want me to mature into. The reason I'm not resigning is because I want to be that person you guys want to see, the person you guys think highly about, and the one you all say was a good admin. Not some nineteen year old who went power crazy.
As an official apology, I am sorry for the way I've acted. And it's time to start doing better, so please help me grow as a leader.

Shiv PersonalityShow
"Having been trained to follow orders and accomplish any task given to him, Shiv has become a desensitized killer with an elitist attitude, being utterly rude to those that he deems lesser than himself. This can be seen through his interaction with people as he is quite the remorseless and sarcastic individual. His disregard for those around him can be seen through his logic of comparing people to weapons. He is professional, calculating, and ambitious by nature, with his professional side only being shown when dealing with those that he deems worthy of his respect."

Be a little less impulsive, talk things over with folks before you make a decision, especially considering there's rarely a decision that needs to be done immediately.
when you find yourself being frustrated/mad at a member, practice stepping back. I feel like this is when you usually do/say the things you regret or bothers others.
Delegate, hoss. You can't do everything yourself, let others do it for you (/make others do it for you haha)
thats really all i can think of, otherwise you've been doing a great job.

We're all a bunch of losers and shitposters, we don't deserve a good admin. Then again, we've never had one, either, so you're doing pretty good by our standards.
"It's so sad!" the reader said to the writer with a frown. "The character in my book just died!" The author turned to her and burst out into tears, "I know!" he said, "So did mine!"

The First Step to Fixing a Problem
One of the points of contention I know that several people weren't pleased with, were some sudden jumps to Global Moderator. At the time I thought it was best and necessary for me to help delegate tasks, and keep things in-line. However I can do plenty with them as mods, and set things as necessary. So I've went ahead and set them as moderators. They can still do checks, act within necessary bounds, but the leap was unnecessary and I admit that.

Do note, this is a discussion thread. Not a place to make jokes and try and make things personal or about anything else than it is.
The First Step to Fixing a Problem
I mentioned vibes relative to this perspective in a few of my posts here and there. In the end, it all comes down to this mindset you've achieved. Most RP admins I've encountered never touched your sense of enlightenment and spent the time experiencing self-reflection. Let alone let it be known to the world.
For that, you have my respects.
It is pretty hard to be an admin. Although a bit loose minded on purpose, Saigen is the first RPed I joined after retiring as an RP admin for some years. I can say that it only gets greater later with you now. For you're going a path many were too prideful in themselves to go.
A better road starts when genuine threads like these finally exist.
