[PB] Dealing with the demon.

A Strange Fusion - Thread One
A medium sized group of shinobi, many dressed in the normal uniform that belonged to that of the shinobi of Sunagakura, were on the outskirts of the Zentoyuubou desert were the sandy ground began to give way to rough scrub brush and rocky terrain. There were almost upon the mountain range that trisected the country into its main three deserts. It was here that their destination lay as a pair of worn looking young travelers rode near the ground acting as guides to the mountain side village that they were guiding the group to. They had come seeking the help of the village to deal with a demon who had seemingly invaded the part of the mountain range before beginning to prey upon the villagers. Unable to defend themselves against the strange beast they sent the two young men out to get up, the trip itself was only a few days each way but the pair had a worried look in their eyes. Truly unsure what would be waiting for them as it was extremely difficult for them to escape the demon's grasp and they were two of the strongest of the mountain people, it was doubtful any others had been able to escape after them. One let out a light sigh but then lifted his head and drew from within a bit of resolve as he gave a silent nod to his fellow villager continuing to lead the group who had just stepped onto the foot of the mountain now.

Near the middle of the group which consisted of ten shinobi was a man dressed in a white robe trimmed with a scarlet colored fabric, in his hands was a small book that he glanced back and forth as while they walked while occasionally flipping to the next page. His medium lengthed white had looked a little messy from the desert winds but his bright blue eyes seemed as sharp as ever. This man also was the only one of the group not displaying his forehead protector as he hadn't been a shinobi in a few years now but his Tenkujutsu specialty had caused for him to be attached to the little group with a few others who had some experience in the area. Zao quietly nodded to himself as he continued to research through a series of notes in the specific notebook that he had brought with him as he tried to identify the beast which the two mountain men had spoke of through the knowledge he had acquired from the Suna village's vast library. Though his search so far hadn't come up with anything that specifically matched the demon described to him and the others.

"Nori, wasn't it?"

The white haired man slowly closed the book with his slender looking fingers and glanced over to the tall man that he had been traveling with, through out the near two day trip so far each of the unfamiliar shinobi that Zao hadn't met before he at least had begun to develop a bit of understand how they acted and their personalities. Though he hadn't had the chance to interact to much with the lanky man the pair had exchanged names and spoke in brief conversations but he felt now was a good time to get a better feel for the shinobi. Not only because he enjoyed meeting interesting people but also because by night fall they would reach the village, a few hours away, so it would be best to determine what strengths the man had so that he could be employed to either subdue and seal the creature or destroy it if they were unable to do so. As the seemingly unblemished hand moved behind him to put the notebook away he glanced to his left side as the man's bright blue gaze would fall upon Nori who wasn't to far away walking at a similar pace as himself. After calling out to him in a casual manner the slightly younger man continued on after he had been acknowledged by the fellow Suna-nin. Asking him a simple but straight forward question.

"How much experience have you had with spirits?"

[PB] Dealing with the demon.

Post by WrightJustice » Sun Dec 03, 2017 1:54 pm

It seemed that Nori was to make haste out of Sunagakure and into the desert alongside a group of other shinobi as a pair of young travellers had came asking for help in dealing with some "demon" of sorts, pleading for the ninja village to send a troop to the far outskirts all the way to the mountain range that split the land's sandy wasteland into three.

Given the nature of the request and how the team was scrambled together posthaste there wasn't much time to get to know everyone beyond some minor details, taking in bits here and their as the medium sized group trecked their way through the sand in typical burning but holy light of the sun.
Though it was indeed rather expedited there was one man within the troop that stood out the most to dark clothed Special Jounin and that was an almost envious looking young Jounin, a shining, bright Jounin that truly would make the slightly older male feel a great deal of envy if he where to even allow such a feeling given how holy and hopeful it made him feel just gazing upon the man but he would indeed not allow such feelings and remained focused.

As the group moved they had performed rudimentary introductions and just about knew a few things here and there but not much given the amount of people, though Nori was certain to take in names at the very least as he politely listened to everyone including the Jounin that seemed to stand out from the rest: Saisuko, Zao.
"Ah yes, indeed, it is Nori. If I recall your name is Zao?" the tall, lanky male replied in a polite and calm tone.

The pair looked almost opposite yet somehow similar as the taller man donned dark, black clothes with a few white details here and there that aligned with the makeup on his face which was quite different to Zao's bright, white clothing with some darker details but at the same time they both had lighter coloured hair and yet Zao's was brighter still.
It was the man's brightness that attracted the gaze of the dark one for it all made him think of the Sun and her holy light very much so, something he hoped to one day do but for now he had promised that he had to reforge his beliefs until they where solid like steel and so he had opted to continuously where dark clothing to represent that.

In any case Nori had watched Zao flick through the book he was carrying for some time since it all seemed intriguing in a way for he didn't have much experience with spirits in the end, which felt a bit like some kind of guilty torture when said silver haired man asked such a question as they finally stepped from the sands and towards the mountain.
"Ah, yes, well I suppose I do not have much experience with spirits at all other than spotting the odd summon here and there" he replied as stern and polite as ever, shaking his head in shame as he covered his mouth with his right hand.
"As far as I know they are some kind of over worldly beings that some how venture into our world like mischievous, havoc wrecking devils that surely put us to the test and must be tamed in the name of the Sun and her holy light lest we bend to their whims and darken our souls" he went on sternly, turning to nod towards the sun and doing a kind of prayer like gesture.
"Just like we could've done when that wretched beast threatened us... Thank the Sun that Hito-sama was deemed worthy enough to put an end to it" the man trailed off a little as he thought back to when the Soul Genma went on a rampage through Sunagakure no Sato.
"Though that is the past and I am certain we can handle whatever this so called 'devil' may be with great ease and prove our worth as warriors of the Sun!" he said with great zeal, clenching his fists as if ready to fight already.

As the man spoke in return Zao simply gave a gentle nod that he was correct in recalling his name, bright blue eyes shifted back and forth to Nori and toward the increasing slope of the mountain path which the pair was currently traveling upon. The former Jounin dressed in his normal white robe and his fellow Suna shinobi was almost he polar opposite as he preferred to dress in dark hues. It was what some might consider the meeting of yin and yang as the two began to converse, even the height difference seemed to pair seemed to align with their attire. What a strange but interesting twist of fate for them to be meeting as such on this rather unusual mission setting. When Nori began to go into his beliefs about spirits the younger of the two couldn't help but give off a soft smile and nod. For he wasn't truly wrong in his understanding of spirits, though it seemed more based on faith then actual experience with the spirits like a tenkujutsu user like himself had with various spirits. But at the same time he was able to understand that most shinobi only had negative interactions with spirits be it dealing with the side effects of genma or having to deal with a spirit that was causing havoc somewhere. Rarely was a normal shinobi privilege enough to have the chance to interact with a normal spirit that was peacefully existing within their realm.

"Aye, Hito-sama is our age but has already been able to grow to such a level and achieve so much. He truly is a man to strive after."

When the mention of the Kazekage Zao couldn't help but age, a peer of theirs in age but his strength, fighting ability, and leadership were truly far, far about their own despite being nearly the same age. He had always been someone who the former jounin had attempted to measure himself and his own personal growth against but had. Even with all his accomplishments and own person growth he still felt so far away from the mentioned man which caused him to subconsciously sigh to himself but having such a grand goal allowed for him to continue having the drive needed to become stronger. To continuously seek out his goals. Though this was a mission that he was asked to accompany the Suna shinobi with their was actually a more personal reasoning why he had accepted the request. A certain deal he had been doing with the Naegi clan in an attempt to improve their strength as a clan while also further refining his ability in tenkujutsu, but in order to do so they needed to actually capture the spirit instead of simply killing it which was almost always much easier to do. Yet, this was also why a few other Tenkujutsu user had came along on this mission to help with sealing the spirit away temporarily.

"Your words hold much truth in them my friend. I believe that we've brought everything and everyone needed to subdue and seal the evil spirit. Though I do wish that the two mountain men had been able to give us a little more information. From what I was able to gather through looking through my notes it appears that this spirit is most likely one that specializes in possession and jumping from body to body. It might be rather tricky to find it."

The white haired man's forehead wrinkled slightly, something that it didn't normally do as he truly didn't have a lot of experience with this type of demon but one of the fellow spirit ninja had a bit of a specialty in the arts concerning possession. While Zao preferred to study the arts that were a bit more combat related instead of purely supplementary in nature, something that he planned to correct in time. This type of demon would be a hard one to deal with if the demon wished to remain hidden within a host body but their were methods to detect this type of stealthy creature. But the two mountain men had not been able to supply more then a bit of base information about the creature's appearance and a few of its abilities when they had arrived at the village. Zao wasn't the type to turn a blind eye to those in need and with the current group composition of shinobi he felt secure in the thought that at the least they would be able to drive the demon away if it was to strong to kill or seal away....

Nori nodded as he took in the words about Hito-sama's excellence, feeling them to be true in his heart though there was a small difference in what he believed.
"Strive to work beside" he simply commented, not knowing if the white haired man took notice but nonethless it wasn't good to try and aim for such power in his eyes.
The Kazekage was a person with a tremendous gift so heavenly and divine in order to deliver word of the Sun and her Holy Light, as such it was not something anyone could or even should hope to achieve but being their disciple was not out of the question.

However in the black clothed man's eyes it didn't mean one couldn't end up becoming Kazekage since there had been quite a few, though he figured it had to be some kind of reincarnation or passing of power of sorts that was indeed the grandest of all gifts that could never be taken by one's own hands.
As such Norio stopped his hopes and dreams at being a right hand to the Kazekage and to never deem himself worthy of being one himself, though he would certainly give his all to the task if he ever somehow got gifted such a placement.

As the pair, along with the rest of the group, stepped forth towards the mountains it seemed Zao had a bit more knowledge to share on the matter but in the end it didn't seem too relevant to Nori.
"Hmm... I'm not overly sure about those kinds of aspects of spirits but I'm sure your knowledge will lead us to victory and my skills should hopefully help us defeat it and capture it, whatever it may be" he replied, sounding confident in their individual abilities even without seeing the others in action.
"So, what is our best course of action?" he then questioned, turning to look at his bright new comrade.

'To work beside...'

In truth the young man did wish to work beside the man, though it was not in the same manner that his current comrade did. While he loved his home land and their wasn't much that he would not do for it...he still wished to forge his own destiny out in the world where few had traveled. A gentle smile formed on his lips as he turned his attention briefly back forward allowing for his bright blue gaze to fall back upon the rocky terrain that the caravan was beginning to traverse while the angle of the ground continued to slowly increase. It was a slow increase but one that the group, mostly the two civilians would notice as their paced started to decrease slightly now. But these were thoughts for another time as he needed to focus on their current mission and purpose here as this mysterious spirit had the elements of the unknown on its side. Hearing Nori speak Zao returned his attention back onto the tall man and gave a confident nod.

"I feel that is why us and the others were assigned, Hito-sama must have strongly believed that our combined might would be enough to deal with this menace."

Just based on the knowledge of their fighting and support abilities that the group had spoken over during the two day journey to get to the point that they were currently at they had at least a decent grasp upon what the others were capable of even without actually seeing one another in combat before. The few Tenkujutsu users were here to help deal with the containment and hopeful sealing of the beast while the more combat oriented shinobi where here to suppress the demon after it had been contained. Only after weakening it or completely defeating the spirit would Zao and the others be able to seal the beast away without worrying that it might break free during the sealing process. While the white haired former shinobi was indeed rather confident their was always the possibility for someone to not make it back...when asked about the best course of action a somewhat serious look crept onto the almost flawless face of the white haired man which subtracted from his normal good looks.

"It goes without saying that we must be cautious and one of the first things that must be done is to discover more about the spirit we are here to capture. The second phase will be then to suppress and contain the creature so that it can be sealed or killed...."

Spirits weren't always the easiest things to deal with and once a free spirit discovered that their was no way to escape many more menacing who were use to being free to do whatever they pleased would become enraged and rather unpredictable. While other would rather submit before dying. It would simply depend on the temperament and psyche of this specific spirit. Hopefully all those who had came would be able to make a return to their homes after the conclusion of this...

"...though it is during the last part when many spirits become the most dangerous. Nothing can be guaranteed at that point until it is fully dealt with in one way or another, my friend."

The group ventured towards the mountain range, Nori absolutely ready for any combat that might occur, taking in Zao's warnings about needing to be cautious and being wary of unknown actions that the spirit might take when in danger.
"Hmm, yes, of course." the tall man sternly replied, nodding in confirmation before turning to look at everyone and taking them all in.
"Whatever the case I will assuredly not allow for any one of us to be killed by this twisted demon. I shall do my utmost to subdue it posthaste and prevent any causalities at all costs" he then spoke with zeal, turning back to the one that seemed to be his main comrade on the mission as he clenched his fist like it was full of great power.

Norio thought back to his mother's death for a brief moment, filling himself with slight sadness and regret of sorts but he swiftly pulled himself back and used the thoughts as a great resolve which showed in his vow to keep everyone safe no matter what.
"Hopefully my skills can pin the beast with ease and allow us an easy fight, though I certainly do not intend to give in if they cannot but then I am positive my Kuuton can do the trick and allow you the chance to do your sealing business" he continued on in his zealous, stern way as he stepped up towards the mountains ready to engage in combat at any given notice.

"Hopefully so, Nori-san."

The young white hair man nodded to his fellow traveler as he spoke only a few words in return, after this the conversation between not only the young pair but also through out the group would become more sparse. Almost as though in unison with the quieter travel the terrain and the weather back to change with what seemed almost every step up the steep mountain landscape. Soon nearly two hours had passed for the group of Suna ninja and behind the group was a series of tracks in the couple inches of snow that had fallen recently and the temperature had already dropped just below freezing which was a stark difference between the desert that they had traveled across earlier that morning. Up a head the snow covered village was easily visible as the moderate number of homes could be counted with their snow capped roofs and smoke that twisted up from the tops of the chimneys. Despite it still being a few hours before dusk their wasn't anyone outside of the buildings as one might have thought that at least some of the kids would have been outside playing in the snow. As that entered the outskirts of the village on the right hand side of the mountain path one could see the two graveyard and within it six graves could easily be seen as recent due to the exposed fresh earth that was only partial covered by the snow fall. This was three more then which had been reported...

'Is the spirit feeding this rapidly? Or is it simply toying with these people?'

"Doro. Sanji. We need to gather the town folk into a central area. Do you have a meet hall or something of the manner?"

Zao's face had tightened seeing the additional casualties of this demon's exploits on these peaceful people even with their manner of speedy travel to the village, for the first time since they had begun their travels an ugly look briefly over took the almost flawless looking face of the bright haired former shinobi. An audible exhale could be heard as it slipped through his lips before his bright blue gaze then was cast upon the most weary of the group, their guides now and he spoke without wanting to waste any more time now. Directly asking if their was any time of gathering or meeting place where the remaining townsmen could be gathered together in one place. Only if they were able to gather them together would their chances of rapidly identifying this spirit increase. The older of the pair, Sanji, dusted a bit of the gently drifting snow fall from his shoulder lengthen raven hair and spoke quickly in return.

"Yes, we have a town hall where we normally deliberate matters that affect the village as a whole."

"Good. Please have them gather there, please. Doro can you show me where the other incidents occurred?"

"Of course, please follow me!"

His face had returned to normal when he spoke to the pair of men, seeming as though nothing was bothering him as a hint of crimson light flashed through his eyes clashing against the bright blue irises which accompanied his hands seemed to just come together for a brief moment in which a few hand seals were made with impressive seal speed. The crimson glint was a Tenkujutsu technique used to identify the chakra or aura of a spirit on a person or object but it also was like a glimpse into the fire that was currently a lit within himself. After the brief series of hand seals he nodded to the fellow shinobi who would continue to travel with Sanjji before speeding the nearby area before his vision would be turned to Nori.

"Nori, do you mind accompanying me?"
Jutsu UsedShow
*Shizumeru • [Vision of Spirits]
C-rank Tenkujutsu
Pre-Requisite: Sensory Concentration
After performing the needed hand seals, the user focuses chakra to their eyes, causing the Maroon chakra to flare up around their eyes. This works similar to a doujutsu, but with no physical change to the eye itself, allowing the user to see the chakra of spirits and spirit related objects/people as an aura of Maroon. While useful for a quick glance, it can be used up to [Stamina]/5 posts, before needing to be refreshed.

(OOC: Sorry for late post, should be back on track now though with everything back to normal. Also for some reason I didn't notice the PM reply for awhile, like no usual pop up but nonetheless we shall continue on).

When the pair of guys that had sent for this mission had stated they came from the mountains, Nori wasn't expecting them to actually mean near the very top which was quite the arduous trek and seemed like such a harsh place for some ordinary, small village to be but then again it wasn't like Sunagakure no Sato was in much of a better position.
However it still seemed like a bit much and being in the middle of the desert with surrounding support from greenhouses and clansmen such as the Naegi was better than going so far up a rocky mountain, which in the end seemed far more suitable to live on near the bottom where there was more space and seemed to be a bit more shrubbery.

Nori did start to change his mind a little though the further up they climbed for the arid land started to give way to basic rockiness and became surprisingly cold; most surprising of all was the fact the mountain face had started to be covered with snow which the lanky special jounin would've never expected in a million years.
"Snow?" the man kind of muttered to himself in confusion as they began to trudge through it, not really expecting anyone to answer.
Perplexity and wonderment filled the man's face the further they wandered up the mountain and got covered with more and more of the cold, white, fluffy substance he thought he would never see even on these mountains it seemed like such an oddity but then he figured they did climb right towards the top until it plateaued out enough for small buildings.

The Suna ninja was too shocked and bewildered over seeing snow to really talk for the rest of the journey as he tried to take it in, though he also started to get unbelievably cold as he was not prepared to move into such a contrasting temperature compared to the overwhelming heat of the desert.
That being said the lanky male pushed on and they finally made it to the village but sadness seemed to seep into the land for a nearby graveyard could be seen, a graveyard that clearly had more graves in it than before the pair of men had left by the looks of their faces and reactions which Norio fully felt deep within his heart like it was possibly their fault for being too slow.

Nori stood with clenched fists over the sadness and tragedy of the place he stood, reminding him once more of his mother's death as it filled his heart with not only sadness but great disdain for whatever this vile demon was but nonetheless he swallowed said feelings and let it encourage him to work hard for this mission to be totally sucessful from this point forwards.
"No more" he again muttered to himself in a quiet, stern tone before turning back to the others as Zao immediately began ushering commands and calling for meetings.
"No, of course I shall come for we must understand this beast" he spoke much more loudly, clearly in reply to his shining companion as he turned to him and put on a brave, polite smile.
Quelling any attempt of rage boiling within him, the zealous man then stepped forwards and followed on behind Zao to try and glean as much information about what was happening in this place as possible.

(No Worries mate, all good.)

"Let us go then, my friend."

Doro had dismounted from his horse, giving its reins to his fellow villager, before then leading the two Suna shinobi off toward the right (eastern) side of the village as Sanji lead the horses and the rest of the shinobi entourage toward the center of the village were one of the largest buildings could easily be seen with a fresh, thin coat of snow clinging onto its roof top. This cold wasn't unexpected though the white haired man hadn't expected it to be snowing so early in the year but the weather on the mountains could be rather unpredictable as a slight shiver passed through his body. Zao turned his palm toward the sky as they slowly walked in the direction of the eastern most housing units which were the only ones with no light coming from inside or smoke rising from their chimneys and/or stoves. Chakra flowed through the up turned hand before the man reached out and as if his hand passed through space itself it seemed to create a disruption through space and time for a brief moment as the hand reached through it up to about the elbow. The small fracture in the fabric of space allowed one to catch a faint glimpse of the travelers personal realm as numerous stars and faint colorful auras could be seen before it appeared that the man nodded to himself and withdrew the arm and the tear disappeared.

"This should help, even though it isn't your normal color."

Despite the tense situation the man seemed to smile briefly as the hand withdrew from the tear in space with two pieces of what looked like thick fabric, one was pure white and the other was a darker grey hue. They appeared similar to ponchos that could easily be draped over ones body to help fight back at the bitter could temperatures and wind that harassed the mountain village. Turning to Nori he extended his left hand which held the darker grey one, continuing to walk at a casual pace as his bright blue eyes turned onto his companion for a moment before they swept back around their surrounded at which time a flicker of maroon or crimson could be seen mixed with the bright blue hue of the irises. Assuming that the special jounin would accept the offering of a additional warming layer for their current environment the pair found themselves within. The first house that they came to the young villagers stopped at the door and stood there looking at the closed door silently for a few moments before finally turning to the pair of shinobi behind him...

"Miss Inoa was the first one, she began acting rather strange about a week ago and then a day later her body appeared as though it had rapidly aged. It was as if something was sucking away her life force and when we tried to enter the and give her add the demon was able to make her body transform into a grotesque version of her former self and attack us. Even with five men we were beaten back and were barely able to finally contain her. But soon after she died and the demon was able to slip away."

"A demon with the ability to transform is hosts body...and it was attacking at the host's life force."

Several different thoughts ran through the man's thoughts and he spoke only briefly in response to the terrifying tale, from the look on the young man's face it was likely that he was one of the men who had attempted to fight back against the demon. Zao gave a firm nod and glance to the side at his comrade before stepping past the man and putting his hand on the cold wooden surface of the door giving it a solid push causing for it to swing open. The Tenkujutsu user felt that he pretty much understood the demon's reasoning for attacking such a remote village, as it could get its fill and leave most likely before any one who was a true threat to itself would be able to come. Hopefully the beast was a glutton and had not ran away yet. The dim light from the fading sun poured into the room as the signs of a bloody struggle were evident and the aura of the beast was even faintly visible as it clung to the inside of the home. This was something that caused the young man to narrow his eyes just slightly, if the remnants of the spirit were still here after a few days then it meant that this creature might be a bit stronger than he had previously calculated....possibly even in the A tier of spirits. Though they had came with a handful of spirit practitioners incase this was the truth, which allowed for him to relax a bit.

"I can still see the aura from where the beast was here last still lingering on the inside of the home, the beast might be a bit stronger then we had initially calculated, Nori-san. Doro, please lead us to the second home please."

As the white poncho wearing man stood half in and half out of the dried blood interior of the home he turned his attention back to the silent villager who seemed to be looking on between the two shinobi from Suna. One was able to tell that when the mention of the beast being stronger then they had originally thought came up a sense of almost pain or dread could easily be read upon his young face. Zao truly never was to good with his words and looked back to his partner as Doro had already turned away from the pair ready to lead them to the next house. In the young man's mind he hoped that these shinobi from Sunagakure would be strong enough to deal with the plague that was this unknown demon before it could claim another victim from either his friends or family. The white haired man could only sigh to himself...but their was an unseen fire that burned within the former shionbi's body...they would definitely take care of this brutal creature...

[PB] Dealing with the demon.

Post by WrightJustice » Mon Jan 08, 2018 1:46 pm

Nori sternly nodded as his comrade called on him to follow to the first place the demonic trauma began but as they began to follow the fellow known as Doro, it appeared as though Zao had started to channel some kind of jutsu as a chakra glow formed around his hand.
Unsure of what was fully going on, the lanky shinobi couldn't help but stare in awe as the white haired man punched a hole into reality with his devilish space-time bending ability in order to pull out some extra clothing.
"Wow" he simply replied in earnest surprise, something that was a little unusual for him but he knew not of the capabilities of such techniques.

A stern look reformed on the sandy haired man's face once more as he quickly took in what exactly was happening, catching a glimpse of the world beyond the distortion and then accepting the poncho like clothing with grace.
"Ah, yes, thank you" he simply replied in thanks, not feeling the need to publicly comment on the man's talents at this time, though he was certainly full of such unusual ones he didn't really understand but the again they where seemingly opposite branches to what he learned given he had focused on mastering Fuuton and Kuuton.

Once Norio had taken the newly presented covering he happily put it on as they walked towards the east and came upon a house, whereupon the man leading them explained what had happened which also didn't fully make sense to the suna ninja but he somewhat understood based on his limited knowledge of spirits.
As Doro explained what had happened to the pair, they then looked inside but Nori had to avert his eyes to all the bloodstained violence drenched within.

After Zao mentioned seeing the aura of the inside and how the demon may be more powerful than expected, Nori finally looked back up and turned to him with a little shake of his head before turning to follow on to the next place.
"Such a shameful, sorrowful end... Nonetheless I can't give in to it" he commented, full of sadness over what he saw and heard but also full of strength to eventually fight the beast.

"Agreed my friend..."

Exhaling through his nose he allowed his pace to slow purposely as to allow his comrade to be able to walk side-by-side with him, the white haired man remained with a rather somber look upon his normally cheerful face still. Death was never an easy topic to discuss let alone experience first hand no matter how many times one was exposed to it. But even in the shinobi world their were still few who could remain completely un-phased by death unless they had truly been over exposed to such acts. In which either left one completely cold in their heart and conscious or pushed them past their breaking point. As the young mountain villager continued to slowly lead them toward the next home about sixty meters away from this one the daylight was beginning to noticeably fade as the day was coming to a close here on the mountain range. If one was to look out toward the east they would see the shimmering desert for as for as the eye could see until to dropped off at the edge of the horizon, a beautiful sight to truly behold but such a sorrowful moment didn't allow for Zao to even pause a moment to admire the view as he simply stared straight ahead and just past the shoulder of their guide becoming more and more focused on his task here.

"We need to find this spirit soon..."

"They are having a town meeting, it's the fastest way to get everyone together in one place."

As he spoke the sudden tolling of a bell could be heard as it rang four times with a few second pause in between each of the individual rings, this sudden sound caused for the young man's bright blue gaze to shift in the direction of the center of the two from where it was coming from. Hopefully by the time that they finished inspecting this second home then their counter parts would have grouped the town members together. With them all in one spot it would be easy for a Tenkujutsu user such as himself or one of the few others that had came along on this mission to identify anyone with the demon's aura around them. Or if anyone didn't attend the meeting it would help them track down the possible location of the demon as well. It was at this point that Zao actually noticed hold cold he was as he brought his hands across his chest but underneath the fabric of the poncho rubbing them together as they trudged through the thin layer of snow that was only deep enough to just leave their foot prints in their wakes.

"Ah."

Zao quietly nodded to Doro who had turned toward the bell as well stopping briefly to look over his shoulder toward the former shinobi and the special jounin who were only a few steps behind him as they traversed the distance to their last stop now after about twenty to thirty seconds of walking. This scene was a bit different in the previous one as the door was leaned up against the home where it seemed to have been knocked off its hinges and their was clear damage to the exterior and the interior of the home which was a bit more sever then the previous home. It was apparent that the struggle here had been even more violent then the previous one but the fresh snow fall covered up some of the bloody evidence. Doro was quick to speak now.

"This was the last attack from the spirit before my brother and I left the village for help from the grand Sunagakure. The demon fought us here changing the shape of the elder's body who lived here. It was able to grow several times the man's normal size and fight us back with almost ease. We simply weren't strong enough..."

The young villager let his head tilt slightly downward at the failure in his mind and the white haired scholar shook his head lightly. Most demons could even be hard for trained shinobi to fight and deal with let alone an unprepared group of mountain villagers. Their would be a few minutes where Nori and Zao could inspect the building and its damage before regrouping back at the front of the home with their guide Doro. It appeared that they could be in for quite the fight with this spirit if they weren't able to quickly trap it in some manner.

"See anything?"

He spoke out to his fellow villager after he had finished looking over the wreckage that was once a decently built home, their were some claw-like marks on the side of the building which Nori had been able to see along with some holes in the side of the home about a meter or so in diameter. Though it was almost like their was an eerie presence about the home itself...as though something still lingered in the area around it that could cause the hair upon the back of one's neck to stand up. Even as Zao looked on himself he could tell that for some reason the aura of this home was stronger and more fierce feeling then the other one...

'Something seems almost off...the aura here....'

[PB] Dealing with the demon.

Once the pair agreed on the sorrowfulness of the situation they then started to slowly follow on behind the village man that was leading them, trekking through the snow as the lighter dressed of the two exclaimed how it should be easy to work things out once everyone is finally gathered in one place.
Nori didn't really understand the capabilities of Zao's own gifts and as such he didn't fully understand everything the man said, though he had surmised that gathering everyone together had something to do with how the evil spirit was possessing people and how Zao seemed to see this demonic aura it had left behind.

After speaking a loud ringing of a bell could be heard coming from the town forcing a quick glance backwards out of curiosity, though it only seemed to be gathering of townsfolk as previously mentioned which spread a stern but happy smile across the sandy haired man's face as he knew their plan would soon be set in motion.
However they could not just stand around and wait, no, they had to move forward and see the severity of damage done to this second house and so they pressed on and met with Doro to see with their own eyes.

Just as before the home was just too sicking for Nori to bare for too long, even the outside damage and general feeling of the place was so off putting that he once again had to not only look away but this time also step to the side and glance out towards the shimmer of desert sand far off in the distance.
"Yes... Even I can feel the vileness coming from this place... A person like me with no true perspective of this aura you can see perfectly clear with your special eyes" he solemnly spoke, finally turning back as he placed his head his right hand.
He couldn't look back at the building and instead simply turned fully towards Zao in the hopes that he could glean any more from the man's reaction, though the look upon the man's face sounded worse than he imagined when he heard him speak.
"Ah... When you say there is something off... Hmmm... Perhaps we should join the meeting and see if we can understand things any better there?" he questioned, now tinged with not quite fright but wariness over what exactly they had gotten into especially himself who couldn't see these spiritual things like his new friend could.

Quote:
"Ah... When you say there is something off... Hmmm... Perhaps we should join the meeting and see if we can understand things any better there?"

"I think you're right..."

The snow white haired young man had been examining the opposite side of the building as his counter part but after only discovering the rather brutish aura that made even the hair on the back of his neck stand slightly the spirit user calmed his mind. Turning he walked back around the corner responding to the words that had greeted him as he rounded the corner now from Nori. But as he rounded the corner he stopped in his tracks as he felt the invisible pressure of a spirit pressing down upon the surrounding area to include where Nori and himself were currently standing. Almost as if he didn't wish to look the bright blue gaze of the former shinobi now shifted up and to the left from his partner toward the roofline of the home they had been searching for any clues that were left over from the demon's last appearance there. His vision soon came upon that of a small female child that was probably only six or seven years of age. Dressed in rather worn looking attire with no shoes or gloves on, the little girls raven hair was about shoulder length as completely straight revealing only about seventy five percent of the child's face.

But from what it revealed the skin was as pale hue, almost as though it had its life drained from the small human's body, a side effect of the demon that resided within her but the true tell-tell sign was the pitch black eyes that were like two bottomless black holes that stared down at the trio below. Their was almost a hint of a smile upon her lips as the bare footed child stood at the edge of the roofline closest to Nori and without warning took a step out before allowing herself to fall from the rooftop of about thirty feet toward the thin sheet of snow that concealed the rocky ground below. From Zao's perspective he was able to easily identify the spirit's aura on the child but before he could say anything the child had stepped off the rooftop. Yet, as it was in free fall toward the ground within a few meters of the dark clothed shinobi the child maneuvered her hand to have her palm point in Nori's direction before it began to rapidly increase in size to over three meters in length and just under two meters wide turning the skin of the palm and arm a greyish hue as it transformed. It appeared that the spirit within wished to either kill or injury the young man with its transformation ability.

"Fuck!"

"Shinobi..."

Even Zao was caught off guard and unable to react in time to do anything at that moment, barely able to mutter a curse at the spirit that was in the process of attacking Nori. Despite his lack of being able to intervene he would not miss this chance to try and capture the beast as his fingers and hands came together in a series of hand seals as he prepared to use Tenkujutsu against the spirit. Despite the immediate danger both Nori and himself were shinobi and for the most part they were capable of dealing with dangerous situations like this...as the little girl attack with the now gigantic sized palm a single words could be heard in a rather deep voice that shouldn't belong to a small child, one filled with hate towards the words it had spoken aloud letting it linger in the air above the three men.

[PB] Dealing with the demon.

Post by WrightJustice » Tue Jan 23, 2018 6:58 am

As Nori spoke and turned to see his companion come from around the corner of the building, unease began to fill within himself as it was clear that the white haired man had became frozen in his steps and could sense soemthing nearby. The lanky shinobi couldn't help but follow Zao's glance upwards with his own eyes and there, upon the roof of the very building they where checking out stood a small child who appeared just as innocent as ever at first.

However the innocence of the young girl quickly dissolved as the sandy haired Sunagkure male took in her whole form; the pale skin and black eyes made this poor, innocent soul appear beyond dead almost like some kind of living, disgusting corpse which caused a slight twinge in the onlooking man's eye over the thought of such violations of the dead.

Instinct began to kick in and Norio's right hand swooped across towards the sheath on his left side but briefly paused before grabbing the handle of the sword within.
As far as he knew this deathly being before him could actually still be alive and her life could be salvaged if they could just get the demon that was possessing her out, at least that is what he started to hope going off what basics he understood from what was said in their travels.
"Is she deeeeeehhh!" he started to ask his comrade only for his words to turn into some kind of alarming sound, his eyes pierced by sudden drop and disgusting transformation of said girl... No... Perhaps she really was dead now and it was just the beast within violating a corpse which really started to anger the man.

However with the uncertainty on the matter still present as the demon attacked, the Sunagkure shinobi moved towards a less life threatening approach and moved his hand away from his sword. Instead a pool of chakra began to form within the hand as Nori dodged to his right to escape the grasp of the mutating arm, then with a quick thrust forwards a pulse of Kuuton clamped down at the beast and began to pull towards his own outstretched hand with great force.
"I must simply subdue her with all my might" he thought to himself as he tried to pull in what he hoped was still a living girl, planning wholeheartedly to simply need to hold her tight and pin her to the ground so that the spirit could be removed.

Boom! The massive palm slammed into the ground with rather impressive force behind its large size which seemed to just narrowly miss its intended target forming a palm shaped impact crater just larger then the palm itself which in turn caused for the surround layer of snowfall to be lifted into the air as the possessed child landed right after the palm. With its head tiled to the side and the abnormal arm remaining in its enlarged state the child's black eyes gazed almost harshly at the shinobi who it had been unable to kill within the former attack. As this happened a maroon barrier of special chakra began to manifest itself around all those present. The massive barrier had a side of twenty five meters cubed and was specially designed to be effective against spirits but he needed to draw out or force out the spirit that was possessing the child, for like his comrade he to could have been much harsher in his methods but he wasn't completely sure that the child was dead. He had never been a truly cold hearted shinobi, which was one of the few reasons he had chosen to pursue the life of a mere civilian and scholar. If their was any chance then he would make sure to try and save the child...

'That is Kuuton!

Almost as if they were communicating the black clothed shinobi used a style of ninjutsu that was a carefully kept secret within the village and never taught to outsiders, but being a ninjutsu specialist of sorts the white haired was able to recognize it at first glance. They needed to immobilize the spirit for a few moments in order to allow himself to be able to get within taijutsu range. This was almost the perfect set up as the child's raven hue eyes seemed to widen as it found itself being pulled toward the Suna-nin as first the creature's feet started to slide before the small body was lifted and began to fly toward Norio. Only the large arm was still in the ground and the spirit used it as an anchor to cause it's possessed host to come to a halt in mid air. But this was truly the best scenario for Zao whom moved with slightly above average speed closing the gap in what seemed like a few moments as he needed to utilize this moment where the beast was stuck in mid air to attempt and remove the spirit by force. Both hands had already moved through a series of hand seals that were nothing more than a blur to most before a mass of maroon chakra enveloped the right hand of the young man.

"Come out!"

This was a special Tenkujutsu technique with one purpose, to remove a spirit possessing their host as long as the user was stronger in terms of control than the spirit was they would be able to complete the task, but it had many risks such as needing actually physical contact that lasted for more then a single touch. But with the spirit in it's current predicament this task was much easier than it would have been other wise now as Zao thrust forward the glowing chakra covered hand latching onto the currently immobilized spirit's forehead allowing the fingers to wrap around the small child's head. The spirit felt it's grasp over the host instantly weaken as it attempted to fight back but found the control and power from the slender white haired man to be unusually strong and forceful as after about three second it was completely purged from the child's body as the host's body almost instantly returned to its normal proportions and was seemingly ripped from the former shinobi's grasp and sent flying toward the gravitational pull created by Norio's technique.

'Bigger then I though it be...'
PictureShow
As it was purged an inky black swirl of chakra that looked like oil was expelled from the back of the child and continued to pool together and ground before the slender began to condense into the form of a shadow beast, a rather rare type of spirit that wasn't normally seen within the human realm. Zao was able to recall the kind of demon just from the appearance of the creature as the shadowy form now towered over the pair within the confines of the spirit barrier erected around them. The barrier was tall enough to be seen from almost anywhere in the small village and the shinobi who had been in attendance for the gathering of citizens became alerted to the recent disturbance. Rapidly they deployed in order to link back up with Norio and Zao whom had broken of to do some scouting. Only moments after thru saw the massive barrier being erected did they also Contr to see the shadow form appeaser within it.

"A spirit barrier!"

"What kind of spirit is that? "

"Start preparing to bind and subdue the spirit! "

As the maneuvering group of shinobi spoke hurriedly back and forth in a manner to communicate what needed to be done since the hard part of locating the spirit had been done for them. But their would be nothing that they could do for the pair facing of against the spirit until the managed to arrive, until then they would be on their own. Zao's brought blue gaze followed the creature as it was able to manifest into its true shape and size, instantly knowing that they needed to create space between themselves and retreat. The former shinobi's left hand passed by a kunai holster on the though of the same side before tossing it ood to the left side into the stone wall of a nearby structure.

'The other kid...'

Turning his body with the throw then planting one foot firmly into the snowy ground the exploit polished of three ground I the direction of their guide who had literally been frozen in fear during the brief exchange between the shinobi and the spirit. He would feel any arm wrap around him before realizing tgat he was being carried by the Allen's white haired man away from the area quickly reaching outside the maroon colored barrier. Zao felt confident that his comrade would hopefully do three same with himself and the body of the small girl. Whom upon reaching his current position from the pull of his kuuton technique would be able to discover that her body seemed to be just barely cling on to the lady of its life essence.

Thankfully for the two men the spirit itself wad wide eyed woth confusion and panic after being forced from the body of its previous host. It's attention laid upon the barrier just above its own head which it began to furiously assualt with outta for claw like shadow hands. After a series of rapid strikes the barrier began to crack before finally shatter as the chakra faded into nothing...a rather insidious voice descended down upon the treo shinobi and the village, though a hint of unsurity and hesitation could be detected if one paid enough attention.

"You think it will be that easy to trap me, Jinso?!

[PB] Dealing with the demon.

Post by WrightJustice » Mon Jan 29, 2018 1:41 pm

Nori managed to dodge the extended arm and was now focused on pulling at the demonic child with the will of his Kuuton which no doubt surprised his comrades for a moment, though the demon did indeed resist as its stolen body began to float and be dragged forwards.
At first it seemed unfortunate that the stretched appendage clamped down into the earth and held the possessed body back, pulling against the powerful gravitational pull that the sandy haired man had on it but it seemed it was only getting itself in an easily target-able position that was just as good as if it was being pinned to the ground in the first place.

Norio remained fully focused on his jutsu with his eyes locked on this child he hoped to save, only taking a moment to glance around at the newly erected barrier before seeing his white haired friend step forwards with another jutsu.
The man watched as his companion rushed at the vile beast with a blur of handseals whereupon appearing before it he grabbed the poor girl's forehead, commanded the spirit to leave her body and then poured his chakra within which the vile beast clearly did not like at all as it seemed to painfully resist the expulsion to no avail.

After a few moments the child's body suddenly returned to normal as a shadowy figure burst from her body, pooling out behind her like some kind of disgusting mess before finally managing to take proper form.
The lanky Suna shinobi had no words for what he had witnessed, it was all very grand and amazing to him but most of all he now had full control of the young girl who went swiftly flying through the air towards him and so he had to focus on catching her.

Nori jumped over to properly catch the poor young soul and cradled her in his arms as he knelt down a bit to check for signs of life, which, though hard to detect straight away, it did seem like the young girl had a bit left in her and could be rescued especially if they got her to safety as quickly as possible.
With all that in mind the ninja turned to look at the frightened man who had took them over to the houses in the first place, thinking to himself it would be best to get that man to take the girl away but his comrade also insisted in getting said man outside the barrier and so both shinobi dashed over and jumped away with the pair.
"I'm not sure what else I can do now but you must surely look after the girl and get yourself and her to safety" he the stated as he handed her over to Doro who should've hopefully been back to his senses after being carried out by Zao.

Once that was done the Sunagakure ninja turned back round to see that the strange spirit was breaking through the barrier which made things worse, especially given his own lack of understanding in what it could possibly do since it was quite different to any regular spirits like that of a summon.
With that in mind the man simply drew his blade and stepped back a bit, glancing back at the citizens now and again to make sure they got away but also trying to keep an eye on the black demon whilst thinking in terms of defensive actions rather than taking the offence given the situation.
"Can it even be hurt like that?" he questioned towards Zao with great concern as he tried to figure out what role was best for him now.

"Yes, go."

The pair seemed to work well together as they had ended up near one another with each of them holding onto the two villagers in order to remove them from harms way as the beast broke through the barrier that Zao had hastily erected to hopefully contain but at the least slow down its movements. With a moment of breathing room the white haired man turned his fully attention now onto the shadowy form of the demon as the young villagers had accepted the young girls almost lifeless body and began to flee as fast as his feet could carry the two of them through the fresh snowfall. Hearing the words of concern from his comrade the man shifted his bright blue gaze from the beast before them and momentarily back to Nori now and spoke to him in return as he knew that their comrades should be able to understand the situation right now with the demon having fully revealed its actual size. It was rather pissed off and a bit afraid at the same time since the possibility of more shinobi being here was the most probably thing. The creature either needed to flee or attack, those were its only options but this particular spirit was much to proud to simply admit defeat to these two shinobi and instead wished to kill them as a low growl slipped through its odd shaped mouth.

"It is not invulnerably, though this type of body has a strong defense against melee style weapons and attacks. We need to lead it to the others who should be preparing a sealing zone for us. We'll need to use chakra based attacks to either destroy parts of its body or to slow it down while we retreat."

While the creature was still getting its baring and to an extent building up its courage to attack Zao quickly spoke to his fellow shinobi now letting him know that the best way to deal with a spirit with this particular type of body that was almost fluid in nature was ninjutsu without a doubt. The more the body was damaged the more stamina it took from the spirit to regenerate its body which would only help to serve their agenda of subduing it and then sealing it away. The human world would not be safe with such a renegade spirit on the loose hurting or killing anyone it pleased. A sharpness grew in Zao's bright blue eyes now as he held up his hand palm out toward the creature now whom at that moment locked its gaze onto the two shinobi, one light and one dark that stood in front of him as though they weren't afraid of his might...this was quite the insult in the spirit's eyes as it had been alive for over two centuries now and this little pups thought they could stand against him so easily?

"Time to die little ninja!"

"Let's fall back, Nori!"

In the palm that was directed toward the shadow spirit a mass of chakra seemed to spring into life as it swirled in an chaotic orb that was a bit smaller than a basketball in size forming rapidly under the immense amount of chakra control that the young man possessed. They needed something that would not only damage the creature but also help by them some time in order to link up with the other Tenkujutsu user's who should be setting up a sealing area to draw the creature into. Their was no time to think about chakra conservation as Zao simply chose the most appropriate technique for the job in that second as the orb took only a few seconds to materialize to its full form before it then seemed to move on its own will racing forward at the speed which an average jounin could move. The creature contorted its body like water in such a manner that would allow for the chaotic orb to simply fly straight through the opening in its body without even touching it which had lured it into a false sense of security. For when the technique reached that point Zao smiled and formed a single handed hand seal the technique exploded in a rather impressive show of force that wrecked havoc on a good portion of the spirits body.

"That should slow it down."

Zao spoke to Nori, whom if he launched an attack of his own would be greatly timed but if not the single attack would allow for them to retreat now as the mangled creature screamed in pair from the blast but its shadowy body had already began to rebuild and repair itself. The spirits regenerative abilities were rather impressive to witness first hand. Though this had not only given the creature a 'black eye' but also sent it into a fit of rage where the only thing that mattered now was draining all the life from these two shinobi children and scattering their remains across the entire country side. After launching the attack the scholar waited a second to ensure that his comrade was ready to move with him and then set out toward the center of town where he made an educated guess that the others were preparing for their arrival. They hadn't brought along any additional communication gear so this was the best that they could do, after a few moments the blast cleared and the creature was nearly completely regenerated and started to give chakra at impressive speeds behind the pair of shinobi. It was obvious that if it managed to catch them that they probability of dying was real..

Jutsu UsedShow
[Ninjutsu • Chaotic Chakra Orb]
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After channeling chakra into one of their hands, forming a swirling eight inch diameter sphere of chakra, the user launches the orb under their control at a speed of 25 and a range up to 35 meters from the user. While constantly channeling to this technique the user is able to move and alter the direction of the orbs movement during flight. Due to this level of control the user can't perform other jutsu while directly controlling this technique. Upon the user willing it or it impacting something the chakra orb explodes with the force of a A-Rank explosion. If the user does not strike a target within 5 posts the jutsu explodes on its own.

[PB] Dealing with the demon.

Post by WrightJustice » Sun Feb 04, 2018 7:04 am

Nori turned to his comrade as the white haired man explained just how invulnerable this shadowy spirit was now that it no longer possessed a human body. It all sounded quite annoying and extra difficult to deal with and it was no wonder that this small village could do nothing to stop such a vile beast, though now that shinobi had showed up it should hopefully be an whole other world for the demon for now it finally had to face the power of chakra and the ninjutsu that spawns from it.

The lanky shinobi nodded in understanding but with an hint of annoyance over the matter since it appeared he would have to change tactics compared to what he was used to; getting physical would do nothing so pulling the deviler towards them was not a good option, plus there was the fact that they needed to lead it away and towards the other shinobi where it could be sealed which meant getting full on with his kuuton was not the best option either.
"Very well then" he finally replied sternly, reopening his eyes from briefly closing them in disbelief of sorts, having turned to face the beast once again.

Having took note of Zao's stance Norio also held out his sword as it began to reverberate with fuuton based chakra until a small vortex of wind formed around it, then with a quick thrust forwards the wind shot out and elongated like a massive, bladed spear.
A small ounce of surprise came across the lanky shinobi's face, his right eyebrow raising in the minute shock as he watched the spirit change shape as the duo of attacks came at it.
However it did not matter what shape would be taken to either of the jutsu wielders's attacks, no, for a sly smile came across the taller's face as he watched not only the ball fired explode within the demon's body but also his own blade swing across and slice right through.
"Your tricks will not halt us vile beast!" he called out with great zeal as he swung his sword to the left.

Once the wind blade had cut through it then suddenly shrunk down just as fast as it shot out, though it did not disappear and instead lingered like a small breeze swirling around the sword for further use.
"Yes, indeed, let us move out" he then replied to the notion that they must retreat and that their attacks would surely slow the shadow beast down.
With that he turned and nodded to his comrade before the duo bolted towards where the sealing had hopefully began to be set up, Nori following on behind Zao and with a couple checks behind here and there to keep an eye on the spirit.

Fuuton • Extending Vortex Blade
B-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
The user will channel fuuton chakra into their weapon coating it in a vortex of wind which then shoots out at 20 speed in whatever direction they decided to point their weapon. This thin twister of wind can extend up to 20m or retract back based on the whims of the user and basically acts like a long bladed sword/spear with 20 strength, even being capable of being moved along as it slices through what is in its path. This can be continuously controlled as such for up to 3 posts, however the longer the blade is extended the harder it is to pivot and move in different direction which means retracting the blade first may be a better option.

[PB] Dealing with the demon.

Post by Zao » Mon Feb 05, 2018 4:02 pm

The collision of the pure Ninjutsu explosion tag teamed with the futon tornado that helped to increase the fiery blast caused the monster's shadowy both to appear to be completely separated into two complete halves before it twisted and contorted beginning to rapidly condense back into if former figure. While it may have appeared that their wasn't any damaged sustained in truth it took a chunk of the monsters health to take on the two blast simultaneously like it had one. Though this truly served the exact purpose that the pair had been hoping for as it sent the creature into a sort of berserker rage which caused for smoke like raven chakra to begin to rise off the demon's body now. The once twenty five meter tall demon started to grow even larger now then before reaching almost forty meters before it lifted both of its hands up into the air and slammed then down creating a powerful shockwave that destroyed the nearby homes, leveling them with ease. That shockwave was even felt by the retreating two shinobi as it caused for the white haired man to almost fall forward caught off guard by the sudden spike in strength demonstrated by the creature.

"Damn, we've done pissed this one off!" Zao spoke aloud as he reached forward with his left hand slapping the palm of the hand into the ground to keep himself from falling flat upon his face and to keep his forward momentum going. A demonic growl soon permeated the air behind then that even managed to send a chill up the scholar's back despite having fought numerous other spirits. It was an aura of murderous intent and rage that the man had only felt one other time which caused his forward to wrinkle slightly as he realized that their was no way they could get caught by this thing. Exhaling slowly as they continued to retreat the beast sprung forward and began to rapidly close the gap which they had initially created only moments before. The creature had increased its physical ability while in turn sacrificing its ability to reasonably think in this situation. The former Suna-nin's hands came together in a hand seal now as chakra quickly formed within his head before being pushed outward in an invisible wave as the ninja activated his Mind's Eye.

The wave of invisible chakra rippled out to just around fifty meters from the pair as they continued running away, suddenly the man picked up not only the quickly closing beast but a number of chakra signatures off to their ten o'clock that were part of what appeared to be a circular formation though he was only able to make out part of it due to the range of his sensory jutsu. Any higher level technique would require him to not only close his eyes to use but also halt his movement due to the amount of concentration needed to use it. But the small glimpse that he had seen was enough to let him know that their comrades were indeed waiting for them and he hoped that they were truly prepared to start the sealing. Out of view the other shinobi who had traveled the rough two day trek up to this mountain village were in a type of formation where they half rolled out a set of scrolls that created a six pointed looking star that they had used the freshly fallen snow to conceal from sight as they could only hope that the pair of men currently engaged with the spirit would be able to lead it into the trap that they were waiting impatiently to spring.

A hint of a smile crossed the young man's lips as he shifted his bright blue orbs shifted to the right suddenly as he realized that the beast had caught up to them in just the few moments it had taken for him to activate and observer their surrounding with the Mind's Eyes jutsu. "Turn left!" Without waiting a second long he could sense the impending attack encroaching upon them as he more or less yelled out the command to his comrade as he now pushed his speed to the limit darting left at the next large opening between a set of small structures. The massive palm of the spirit almost immediately came crashing down on their heels as the ground shook as though an earthquake was happening on the mountain side before the massive creature would come to a halt turning its dark eyes back onto the retreating shinobi before giving chase again as destruction was all that was left in the spirit's wake. They were almost there...."Stay close to me Nori, we're going to be cutting it close if we make it!"

[PB] Dealing with the demon.

Nori could hear the vicious rage boiling within the vile demon as he bolted away with Zao, it was all very intense and a quick glance back made it clear just how intense it was; the black chakra rising from the spirit's body was menacing enough on its own but then it also started to twist and contort, growing in size unlike anything the still quite young shinobi had ever seen before.
"What rage..." the black clothed man solemnly muttered with a shake of the head.

With that Norio continued on wards, following not far behind his comrade as they searched for their team of sealers, though the raging beast soon tailed on and in its rage it really did a number to the mountainside as it slammed down hard and crushed all the buildings surrounding itself.
The strength and power of the attack reverberated down the mountain and even caused the duo of shinobi to stumble, catching themselves with their hands and a skid of their feet as they quickly scrambled back into a full on run.
"Quite so my friend" he replied in kind once they where back in full run mode.

Once the duo where back fully on their feet it seemed the shining white of the pair had began some sort of jutsu which, after a brief moment, Nori could simply discern was some form of sensor type jutsu based on how his friend suddenly knew which way to go. Though they had certainly needed to hasten their pace as they made a hard turn toward their left for the spirit raged on behind them, tailing them right on their heels and in fact almost even catching said heels with its massive palm that furiously slammed down once more.
"Darn, that vile beast is really on us. I hope our other comrades are ready for it" he commented with a stern but worried tone.

Chakra instantly was pushed down into the soles of his plain looking sandals, added the increased level of grip need to keep the man up right as the palm had slammed down right where the pair had been literally only a split second earlier causing another tremendous shockwave to ripple through the surrounding area causing nearby structured to shake and tremble while others closer to the palm's epicenter actually collapsed. It was visibly apparent that the creature was willing to sacrifice much to end the lives of the two young shinobi that it was chasing, blinding much by the state of berserk rage that its current mind was within. "Stay close, Nori!" The sudden change in direction would by the pair a few precious seconds while the demon reoriented itself before then slithering forward almost like a shadow of a snake as it slipped through the buildings beginning to once against rapidly close upon Zao and his comrade. Zao spoke out with concern in his voice and urgency, not even having time to look back to see the younger shinobi or the demon as he attempted to navigate the unfamiliar village in a route which brought them into the center of where he suspected the sealing formation had been set up by their fellow shinobi.

'Damn! This thing really intends to exhaust itself to kill us...' Concern about their current situation weighted upon the scholar as the snow drifted down in their path from above with only half a moon out tonight to illuminate the path ahead. Luckily the village wasn't to large or extensive in its building methods as the pair wove left and right a few more times before taking a hard left. Weaving through the various smaller building had helped to created a slightly larger gap that at least aloud for a second of time to breath. After less then a minute's worth of time running the pair could see a large open intersection approaching which led toward the center of town as the street's widened out into a court yard looking area. This sight was enough to cause a half smile to form upon Zao's thin lips as the left corner raised. "When we reach the center of the court yard we'll stop and let him come to us. Just stay close to me and we should be fine." A confident look formed from the half smirk upon the former Suna-nin's face now as he glanced over to his friend just long enough to speak the words that needed to be heard.

About fifty meters behind them their was almost what sounded like an explosion as the shadow spirit and the misty black chakra that was still rolling off its body forming a hazy cloud around it burst straight through another home causing the debris to fly forward some even raining down on the two men who continued to flee. It only took a few moments for the two ninja with their speed to reach the spot that Zao had mentioned to Nori now as he twisted his feet and came sliding to a stop after three or four meters of sliding across the snow spinning half way around at the same time in order to face the massive beast that towered over not just them but the entire village in its current zerker state. "Come! Let's finish this little spirit!" A loud voice came from deep within the man's chest being projected out towards the approaching spirit, a jest and taunt toward the creature as it was best to keep it in it's current frame of mind. Such would make it easier in the end for the two and the group of shinobi that were tucked just out of sight but they had taken note of the two's arrival and had already begun weaving a string of hand seals.

Zao himself looked over to the side that Nori would end up on, ensuring that he was at least within arms reach as what he planned to do next he needed to ensure that his younger comrade was close to ensure that neither of them would end up in the wrong place at the right time. Such an event could easily spell death for either one of the men, but as a current or former shinobi both knew that the line walked by those such as themselves could often be that thin line. With death on one side and life on the other..."Time to bring this spirit down a notch!"

The vile demon certainly seemed very persistent in its chase as the duo of shinobi weaved their way towards the centre of the village, though in its rampage it was fortunately very ineffective at catching them as it constantly fell behind as it slammed and blasted its way through buildings in attempt to hit them.
Though the centre of the village was not the best pace to take such a dangerous being which worried Nori a little as he stayed close to Zao, though he believed in his comrades to have gotten everyone to safety before setting up whatever kind of trap was to be built to capture the beast.

The black clothed shinobi simply nodded as his friend pointed out the courtyard and how they where to lure it into the trap there. Thus with that in mind the young man bolted onward, dodging away from the falling debris and finally sliding through the snow and twisting around the face the spirit as he came to a stop besides the shining, bright man.

Nori wasn't sure it was really needed at this point but he held up his sword with the wind still swirling around it and shot it toward the enraged beast, sweeping across with the elongated wind blade if not to hurt it one last time then to delay it a small bit to allow for Zao's justu enough time to take shape and to also add on to the attention seeking yell Zao had also given force the beast right down to the courtyard.
Once the swing was done, whether it struck or not, the wind would finally dissipate without the need to even retract it back down to normal size.
"May the Sun and her Holy Light smite you down vile demon!" the zealous man then also projected as he struck out at the damn thing.

Quote:
"May the Sun and her Holy Light smite you down vile demon!"
Zao chuckled to himself quietly at the antics of his young comrades as the pair stood there shoulder-to-shoulder with one another now, almost like yin and yang with their attire going from light to dark. They had turned into the bait in this mouse trap as the spirit quickly arrived at their position as it swiped its left shadowy hand smashing into the wind blade disrupting while damaging the hand partially simultaneously. Though it was the shadow of a right hand that became quiet the horror for anyone in its path as chakra pumped through the hand suddenly increasing its size to the point that it seemed to blot out the sky above them as the pair become nothing but ants underneath the palm which created a shadow nearly thirty meters long. As the hand above them began to fall like a meteor falling down from the heavens upon them a wave of pressure seemed to hit one in the chest from the simple descent of the palm strike and it was at this time Nori would feel the light touch of Zao's right hand upon his shoulder. Though the white haired scholar didn't speak their was a confident smile upon the former shionbi's thin lips as the bright blue eyes almost seemed to glow feeling the dangerous air from the coming attack, then the left index finger tapped the forward most kunai on the left leg thigh holster. "Nice try, little spirit..."

From those looking in all they saw was the massive black palm slam into the ground appearing to crush the two shinobi, but even the thought of their comrades being killed or injured was pushed to the back of their mind as the palm created a massive crater in its wake. A series of shinobi had already finished their hand seals now as a series of eight separate fuuin formations (one for each shinobi) came to life from beneath the snowy trap and quickly wrapped around attempting to bind the creature who instantly began to fight back. But it had burnt through quiet a bit of its chakra attempting to kill the two men in its rage that now it was barely able to fight back and in time would most certainly be overcome. Back where everything begin two men suddenly appeared out of no where next to a kunai that was stuck in a crumbling wall, it was Zao and Nori, the white haired man seemed perfectly fine as he was still smiling use to traveling through space. Though Nori most likely would feel a little bit motion sick since it was his first time. "How are you feeling?" Out of genuine concern the man turned his bright gaze onto his comrade now as he also removed his hand from the taller man's shoulder and reached out taking hold of the kunai and wiggling it loose from the damaged wall.

"The creature has done so much damage but luckily it didn't injure or kill any more of the villager's, it'll take some time before they are completely over this incident. But at least their minds can rest a bit easier. When you're ready we need to head back and help finish sealing the creature away temporally." Though Zao didn't currently make it known aloud but he had some plans for this spirit already and in time he would make them known to Nori as well since he had come to trust this man through out their short but dangerous encounter, knowing that he was someone who could be counted on...

[PB] Dealing with the demon.

Post by WrightJustice » Sun Feb 18, 2018 4:14 am

Nori remained stern and focused as his blade struck into the vile demon's hand and then finally dissipated, remaining ever vigilante as he then watched said hand suddenly begin to enlarge above them as it truly became the darkness that surrounded them.
It was strange to imagine a shadow causing another shadow but then again the spirit was still a solid figure and now its gigantic size was blocking out the small amount of light provided by the moon and stars, casting the entire courtyard and beyond in almost pitch darkness as it reached out over the duo of shinobi.

The dark clothed male wasn't sure what was going to happen but he stood fast against the incoming doom, believing in his new comrades and most of all Zao as he felt the pressure of the wind coming from in incoming fist which could indeed be described like a massive meteor.
Norio had strong belief that burned within and had already noted his friend's handseals before he himself made the strike with his blade, as such a small, deserving smile flashed on his face as he felt the touch of the man's hand on his shoulder.
"May this work in our favour oh great Sun and her Holy Light" he thought to himself in a kind of prayer as he felt his comrade's grasp.

With a mighty crash the wild beast's palm crashed down to the earth, scattering and blasting apart the whole courtyard in its wake but as it dropped the men below no longer bore witness to their own demise and instead saw the attack from a distance.
"Ugh... Holy... Ugh..." the sandy haired male kind of blurted and moaned as he staggered to his feet as he arrived at the pair's new location.
"Space... Time?" he simply questioned as he swiftly gathered himself recalling the portals made before and noting the small amount he knew of the subject.
With swift gatherings the Special Jounin soon appeared to be himself, though perhaps holding back a bit of dizziness as he did not wish to appear frail and incompetent to his comrades or new friends and instead tried to remain as stern and boisterous as ever.

With that Nori looked over to the town where they stood and saw that the vile demon was being tied down by strange maroon fuuin bindings, very much a relief indeed as it was now fully restrained and trapped just as planned.
"Ah, very good" he then replied, sounding a little more convincing in his health this time as he was just about fully recovered from the sudden transportation.
"Now then, let us see your intriguing spirit sealing techniques in action" he added with a hint of fascination on the matter.
It seemed the zealous shinobi was a little eager to understand the subject of spirits just a little bit more, though he was sure it was not for him it did start to interest him and he thought he should probably begin to widen his scope of knowledge just that little bit more.

"Soon my friend." Zao gave a firm now of his snow white haired head at the mention of his sealing technique, now that Nori appeared to be a hundred percent or at least he seemed to be, the pair set off back to the center of town only this pace was a much more comfortable one compared to the previous one. Able to take the most direct route this time it took less then two minutes before the pair arrived out the other protective circle seeing the beast still struggling back against the fuuin seals that only continued to wrap tighter and tighter around its shadowy body. Upon seeing that the two men were alive out of the corner of its dark eyes it roared and struggled even harder as it had believed that even though it was about to be captured that it had been able to at least kill those two kids who had injured it. Though sadly the beast was much to weak to break free from the binding seals despite its best effort having wasted to much of its chakra earlier during its fit of rage that ended up being the main reason for its demise. Zao had withdrew a scroll from his lower back pouch on the way over and only now did he take a knee and unroll the scroll revealing a storage seal fuuin which he then performed a short series of hand seals and placed his slender left hand onto the parchment.

"Release." The young man spoke quietly but in a tone that as above that of a whisper as he poured a small amount of chakra into the seal causing for it to release an eight inch diameter jade green pot that stood about ten inches in height with a lid on it. It was engraved with intricate designs and a number of sealing jutsu was drawn across its entirety. Utilizing his right hand the scholar removed the lid and took a lotus style seating position with the jar out in from of him. Calming his mind everything seemed to disappear and their was one single image in his mind and that was the spirit before him, it had caused quite a bit of havoc and was even responsible for the deaths of a few people but it would soon be put to good use for the village. Bright blue eyes snapped open as the man went into a long, complicated series of hand seals that took around twenty seconds to complete despite the blurring speed that Zao was capable of with his hand seals and finally at the last hand seal the former shinobi took both hands turning them palm down and slammed them into the snow on either side of the jade jar.

A brilliant white light seemed to form out of no where from within the dark interior of the jar before it shot outwards in the form of several chains of chakra that wrapped around every part of the spirit beast now with such power that it destroyed the former fuuin seals that had been used to restrain it. Squeezing it tighter and tighter causing the creature to shriek in terror at the prospect that it couldn't escape the tightening grasp of these chakra chains, unable to activate its chakra to manipulate its shadowy body. After a few moments the man then slapped his hands back together former a hand seal, "Ochiiru...Temporary Housing! Come to me vile spirit, be sealed away." The energy level in the blue eyed youth's voice jumped slightly above normal as the chains began to rapidly retracted into the pot from which they were born dragging along with them the spirit which deformed and seemed to stretch out before being compressed as it entered into the mouth of the jar. As the last of the creature's dark body was drawn in the lid levitated from the snowy earth and returned itself onto the top of the jar were a series of three fuuin appeared on the lid that stretched down over the vase ensure the stability of the seal and that the spirit could not accidently be released from its new prison. Sweat ran down the left and right sides of the man's face as to seal even a weakened spirit required a large amount of chakra from the user, if it had been a stronger spirit he would have needed to request the aid of the chakra from others in order to seal it away.

It was easy to hear the exhale of his breath, seeing the warm out from his mouth hitting the cold air outside creating a small mist like cloud as a half smile managed to slip onto the thin lips of Zao before he turned to Nori..."How was that?" Still having the energy to jest at the dark clothed shinobi as the man utilized one hand in the snow and one hand on his right knee to help himself into a standing position now. The sounds of relief and excitement was expressed from the group of shinobi that had traveled with the pair here as they were always weary of dealing with spirits that had a malicious tendencies such as this one. Luckily they had the help of Nori and Zao this time as setting up traps and sealing formations took up some time and 'bait' was needed to keep the spirit busy and then draw them into position. The shinobi all breathed a sigh of relief as controlling the formation itself was rather taxing on them to now as they all came together in congratulations about the capture. Not being a shinobi himself, the young man handed off the duties of helping the ninja with rebuilding and handling the situation left in the wake of the spirit's rampage. Roughly a hour later Zao was standing at the edge of the snowy village looking out across the desert that was at the foot of the mountain, having recovered enough of his chakra the man prepared to leave. "Let's leave my friend, back to Suna." With that a tear appeared in space that would appear now twisting apart space allowing for the duo of dark and light to instantly arrive back in the village but their location might seem a little strange as it was the courtyard for one of the Naegi branch families....

S-rank Tenkujutsu (Nin)

[Open Space • Specific Destination]
B-Rank Jikukan Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: [Fuuinjutsu: Destination Marker]
After channeling a large amount of chakra through his body, the user will picture the location of one of their [Fuuinjutsu: Destination Marker] Seals. Once the image of the area is in his mind, The user will force this chakra into their hands and rip space in front of then, creating up to a three meter diameter rift that connects to the Fuuinjutsu. This allows User to transport themself instantaneously across vast distances. The rift only remains open for a single post or until used, whichever comes first.

[PB] Dealing with the demon.

Post by WrightJustice » Thu Feb 22, 2018 6:32 am

Nori nodded with a stern smile as Zao gave his reply and a nod before the two took off back down towards the courtyard before the vile demon. Up close the spirit looked even stranger than before but as the duo arrived its rage sparked once again, reminding the black clothed shinobi just how vile of a beast it was but luckily it was totally bound by the intricate looking seals and could no longer break free and wreck havoc on the village.

After admiring their catch for a short moment, the zealot turned to his bright clotehd friend and saw how he summoned some kind of pot with an even greater intricate design than the fuuin holding down the beast. The young man couldn't help but watch in awe as he experienced the strangeness of a subject that seemed so mysterious to him; chains latching onto the shadow demon, digging into its body and soul (if it had one) and just wholly binding it stronger than even the fuuin as they dragged it into the pot in a twisted fashion and somehow packed it in all tight and compact before finally locking it away.
"Not sure I expected that..." Nori quietly commented, more to himself than anyone else.

Once the sealing was done it became very clear just how exhausted Zao had become which made Norio overwhelmed with the thought on how tiring the process must be, though it seemed the white haired man had enough strength to stand up on his own. Either way the sandy haired one gave a polite nod and took over for a bit whilst his friend rested, aiding here and there to help get the restoration efforts of the village started to the best of his efforts.

After some time had passed the duo ventured to the edge of the village once the spirit sealer had rested and it was there that they would head home, though in a more instaneous method as the very same man also bend space to his will and with one small step they where back in Sunagakure no Sato.
"This space-time stuff is very impressive as well, though I'm not sure it is for me" Nori commented somewhat jokingly, at least to the best of his efforts.
Then as the man looked around he noticed they where actually in what appeared to be the Naegi compound, though he hadn't needed to venture inside before so he couldn't truly be one hundred percent but based on what he knew and saw from the outside it certainly looked like it.
"The Naegi compound?" he questioned with a concerned look upon his face.
