Ichiro’s keen eyes narrowed as he assessed the depth his throwing knives pierced. Enough to wound but not to kill, that might be troublesome though perhaps sword strikes would be able to deal more damage, regardless he wouldn’t back off. There was another kid here too and if they worked together they could likely defeat this frog. Ichiro noted the way the clones exploded in fire however, realizing that the other boy would be quite busy for at least the next few moments. If he was injured at least Ichiro could tend to him afterwards, he was a better healer than a fighter after all. When the knives were thrown back at him the boy instinctively dodged to the side as he drew his kusuri gama, favoring the range of the weapon for this situation. He was still very much a novice with its use though he would at least attempt to put it to use.
Swinging the weapon he would lash out with the weighted end of the chain aiming to strike the frog on the head and cause some concussive force. At the very least he could keep its attention and hopefully draw it out of the water.
“Begone demon, I won’t allow you to harm these villagers” he decreed. While his understanding of spirits had grown somewhat he still viewed most of them as unnatural and dangerous creatures, not belonging to the world of man.
Lights Out
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A simple technique in which one utilizes the weighted piece at the tip of a kusai-gama’s chain. Holding the kama in one hand and the chain in the other Ichiro will raise the chain above his head, spinning it in order to gain momentum and then when an opportunity presents itself he will lash out with the chain, allowing it to go taunt as it extends outwards, aimed to swing in and strike an opponent’s temple.
