]Graded][PB] Finalizing a Field Trip

Post by Texas » Tue Sep 18, 2018 4:54 pm

Tenzin made his trek to Sunagakure no Sato.  It took him a long time for a few reasons.  He wasn't that great with directions and he had never been there before.  However, he was given very detailed information on how to get there and get the attention to be let into the village.  At the time, Tenzin was riding a horse carriage there.  Thanks to the carriage, his travel time was reduced heavily.  After a long time of traveling, he finally got to the sandy and hot dessert.  When he knew he was close, he made sure to make the carriage walk in a slow manner.  Once he figured out where he was, he arrived at the gate.  The giant gate of Suna was guarded by many shinobi and not only that, but it was also somewhat open. The shinobi stopped Tenzin and wouldn't let him continue any further without proof of who he was.  "We need your Identification and your permission to be here.  If you do not comply we will be forced to take action."

'Yikes' Tenzin thought as he reached for his little traveling bag and took out both things. 'They really don't take things lightly around here.' He handed it to the man who spoke with him.  The man walked to the gate and two other shinobi looked at it.  Once it was proven to be authentic, he walked back and handed it to him.  "Enjoy your time here" he said in the least welcoming voice.  Tenzin didn't like the way he spoke to an ally, but that was petty stuff that he didn't let affect him.  He motioned the horses to move forward and walk through the gate.  Upon entry he was stopped and informed that his horses and carriage would be cared for at a different location.  Tenzin landed on the ground and looked at the beautiful village.  Although it was in a dessert, the village itself was a sight to see.  This got Tenzin excited to promote his idea to the Kazekage.  Before he could get lost in the sights, a guard came up to him and didn't show all too much expression when he spoke.  "We are going to wait for what the Kazekage wishes to do."  Tenzin understood.  The man was probably very busy, especially since he was new to the job.  He suspected that the guard didn't know if the Kazekage would come to me and walk me around, or if he would require I be brought to his office.  All was no rush and Tenzin simply put his hands in his pockets.  "Sounds good to me friend."

Sueatsu had been expecting the arrival of a member of Konohagakure for some time now. He had received word from the village that someone was eager to come here but in this moment, he could not seem to recall their reasonings for it. Walking quietly through the village, he chose today to wear the traditional headgear of the Kage. He wished to get a feel for it and in this instance, it would allow him to be spotted more easily by the arriving Konoha shinobi. As he made his way towards the gate, he would see one of the guards walk up to him and he whisper something about an arriving shinobi, to which he would nod and approach the shinobi.

Sueatsu had an imposing figure for a man that was actually shorter than the other. "Hatake, Tenzin? Welcome to Sunagakure. Please, walk with me if you do not mind." He asked as he gestured for him to follow as he was going to be taking him towards the center of the village, to the Kazekage building and eventually to his office. "We have much to discuss after all and I am certain that you are not taking to the weather too kindly so this will give you a moment of reprieve." Sueatsu spoke in a strong, matter-of-fact but well spoken manner, his voice carrying fairly well even as he had turned around to walk.

Tenzin watched as the man came up to him in the Kage clothing.  To Tenzin, this Kage did not seem like much... however if he had learned anything it is to not underestimate a Kage.  Tenzin actually had a somewhat similar reaction to the Hokage.  He listened as the Kazekage invited him for a walk.  It was a good call, he had been traveling for some time on a carriage and needed to stretch his legs.  Tenzin did a respectful bow and then placed his hands in his pockets.  "I would be honored Lord Kazekage." He knew to keep the formalities as much as possible.

Tenzin followed the Kazekage and positioned himself to be walking to the right of the man.  The Kazekage was right... Tenzin was not used to this heat and did find himself hotter than normal. He always appreciated how different each land was from one another.  This one in particular was simply a dessert.  Tenzin wasn't fully into the politics, but he had no idea how a village could of been made in this land.  It was a marvel just to create a village here, let alone a thriving powerhouse like Sunagakure no Sato.  Tenzin wanted to start off on a good note so he looked to the Kazekage and gave his gratitude. "Just wanted to start off by thanking you for having me here. I've always wanted to visit Sunagakure."  He figured that for their walk, it would be mostly small talk.  Then upon arriving to a more private place, they could talk about the business.  However, it was the Kazekage's village... so he was going to talk about whatever he would say.

As Sueatsu was quietly leading Tenzin, he listened to him carefully. "Well, I welcome our allies. It is an... interesting transition period for myself and as such, I've been meaning to get this hastened but it was not possible. Aside form this, we are glad you are here." He gestures to the whole of the village as he says the word 'we', letting Tenzin look out at the desert oasis that is Sunagakure. Tenzin would immediately notice the myriad of buildings that seemed to have a variety of greenery coating them, as if they were overgrown but maintained and kept impeccably. "Now, please, I'm certain you've some questions that we can speak about publicly. I welcome discussion, no matter the type." He stated with a smile as he was definitely being as hospitable as he was taught by the monks he trained under.

"Oh, and I'm certain you see them so I will address them. Greenhouses. They are managed by a variety of civilians and shinobi with a particular group of ours presiding over them as a whole. It is how we are able to make sure everyone is well fed. At least, as they can be." He stated as he was being honest but within reason, trying still to get used to addressing people as the Kazekage.

The green houses were simply a sight to see.  They would stick out like a green thumb (pun intended).  Tenzin looked around Suna, as the Kazekage pointed out the village and showed the green houses.  It was incredible to be in a completely different location that what he was used to.  Konoha is lush with greenery, where as Suna has green houses that truly are beautiful.  "They look beautiful Kazekage, in fact this whole village is a marvel." He was genuine in the way he was speaking towards the Kazekage, Tenzin only had the utmost respect for a man in his power.  He himself never wanted to take on that mantel, but he knows the great sacrifice and responsibilities that come along with the title.

He put is focus back on the Kazekage as he began to speak with him.  He intended on being as polite and proper as possible, even though his hands were in his pockets.  He wanted to show a sign of comfortably and trust, but he mainly did it out of habit.  "Unfortunately, I am not fully informed of the politics of villages, I had no clue you were the new Kazekage.  Congratulations, it must be an incredible honor."  He could tell just by walking through the village that he was adored by everyone.  People were constantly pointing, smiling, waving, and overall just trying to show gratitude and gain attention from the Kazekage.  He would wait a moment for the Kazekage to answer or not.  He would continue the conversation as they walked.  "Lord Kazekage, would it be alright if after our meeting I walk around the village?   I would love to dive deeper in the delacacies and sites here."  If the Kazekage agreed, he would ask him:  "Do you have any suggestions?"  They would continue to walk, Tenzin with his hands in his pockets.

"It is an honour that I hold my head up for. Some things have changed since the Leaf last visited but I suppose the same can be said of the opposite. The Hokage and I need to meet at some point... but now is not the time." He paused as he listened to what came next, before thinking for a moment and nodding. "Well, we will be coming up on a sight here soon, but I can give you some escort around the village. For safety. It is not that you are not trusted but that you do not know everything and our customs are not the easiest to grasp. My suggestions... There is a view on the uppermost layer of the sun as it sets that I find enjoyable, as do many others. The Academies and Training grounds are simple enough... I'd always suggest exploring one of the green houses. I will be frank, Sunagakure is not a tourist friendly location... but there is beauty in its people that I find breathtaking." He stated with a smile on his face as they were approaching the central most building in the village, the administration building, where he would immediately see what Sueatsu had mentioned earlier.

A monument dedicated to former Kazekage that was currently in the process of making one more for Ouji, Hito. "This... is something that everyone in Sunagakure should see. A little vain but it is important. Every single person here has done greatness in some form or fashion. In themselves, they could take hours up of conversation but that can be spoken about at another time." He stated as he would lead him inside and through the hallways, Sueatsu greeting people as they passed by. Several members of Sunagakure's council would be walking around, along with assistants, higher ranked shinobi and various others. "We are a little busy, as you can tell. Much to do and so little light to do it with." He stated with a lighthearted laugh.

[PB] Finalizing a Field Trip

The monuments were massive and one could easily tell that they hold more than just stone. They were symbols of the change and progression each leader brought during their time. Konoha had a very similar form of this, so Tenzin was all together very familiar with this form of appreciation. He walked with the Kazekage as he spoke of places to visit with the village. Tenzin understood when he told him about the escort. He responded to him with extreme politeness. "I totally understand Lord Kazekage, I appreciate the opportunity to indulge in a culture foreign to mine."

As the Kazekage spoke, they walked through the village and arrived at what seemed to be at the headquarters for ninja affiars. Similar to the Hokege's office, there were ninja running around of higher rankings with paperwork. At one point Tenzin even had dejavu from when he was going to meet with the Hokage. As they walked through the building Tenzin took note of the ninja running around. They all seemed to be so busy, however they all took a second to nod in respect to their Kage. Tenzin spoke up as they were most likely getting near the Kazekage's office. "Yes, that seems to be a very common situation for all shinobi." As they walked to the Kazekage's office, he made sure to stay a quarter of an inch behind the Kazekage in case he made a leading turn. The village as a whole intrigued Tenzin. From an exterior view, the village was almost opposite of Konohagakure. However, once Tenzin got into the heart of the village he realized that it wasn't all too different.

[PB] Finalizing a Field Trip

Sueatsu took a seat in the chair behind the desk he had, taking in a deep breath. His office was far more modest, which was nice for him but it wasn't entirely likely that all Kage had such a simple place. "Please, take a seat so that we may speak." He gestured to the other side of his desk which had a singular chair there. He looked around his office that overlooked Sunagakure for a moment and laughed a little bit. "You know, it never ceases to surprise me... Maybe after a few months have passed, I will be more comfortable up here." He joked as he turned towards Tenzin once more, his eyes locked on the man's face as he cleared his throat. "Down to business then, shall we?" He asked as he quietly reached into a small spot in a drawer on his desk, procuring what seemed to be a canteen which he placed on the table. "If you need a drink, please take one." He offered.

Contrasting the surrounding village to this office, his office was considerably more cool than outside even though it featured a window to look out at the blazing desert and oasis that were Sunagakure. "If I am to understand, you were here for more than just a casual visit. I could be wrong but that was the vibe I got from the missive I was sent."

[PB] Finalizing a Field Trip

Post by Texas » Wed Oct 10, 2018 11:56 am

Tenzin followed the Kazekage to his office. The room was slightly colder and he enjoyed the view of the village that was part of the room. He took a seat after the Kazekage sat and after he was offered to sit. He locked his fingers together and placed his hands in his lap while slightly maneuvering his right leg over and resting on his left leg. Tenzin shook his head once he was offered the drink and placed his hand in the air to wave it as if his hand was following his head. "No thank you Lord Kazekage, but I appreciate the offer" he respectfully said to the leader of the village.

He liked that the Kazekage made a little joke with him. It showed he was relaxed and that he was friendly. Tenzin understood that certain villages didn't see eye to eye, but didn't truly understand why they all couldn't be this friendly towards each other. Was there a solution that would be capable of getting all of the villages to be friendly like this? Tenzin's mind digressed and he focused on what the Kazekage was changing the conversation to. 'Down to business indeed' he thought as the Kazekage continued to speak. He was informed I had something to talk about, but probably no context in case of an interception. Tenzin spoke to the Kazekage in full about what he had intended with his visit. "Yes, I am here because of an idea I had. I am a teacher at the academy and often times the relationship between us and Sunagakure gets asked about by students. I brought this idea to the Hokage and would love to get the final permission from you. Simply, I would like to plan a field trip to Sunagakure with the students and Genin of the village. I think that it would be eye opening for the younger generation to view this village and meet their future allies. Of course there will be chaperones and you can provide a high level guide or two to watch over the small groups. So I came here to get your thoughts and see what you think about this idea and if it would be something you would take interest in and/or allow." Tenzin kept his position in his seat and also kept eye contact while he finished off his little snippit about why he was there. He was sure the Kazekage would have some questions, so he figured that was a good place to stop and ask any questions if need be. Since the last time he spoke about it... Tenzin sort of got ahead of himself with the Hokage.

[PB] Finalizing a Field Trip

"Hmmm..." Sueatsu had his lips pursed for a moment as he was thinking over the idea of this. His mind was formulating a few different plans in his head for this right now but he would speak up fairly quickly. "I couldn't agree more. I'll inform you now though, most Sunagakure citizens are not the most open to outsiders and you may have some difficulties with that but I can assure you that things are changing are people are generally friendly. If you will provide a few Jounin rank shinobi to come along, I can provide the rest myself. That being said, I can also give them something to see. Prospective Genin as they are training at one of our academies. Genin themselves in a training ground, or even attempting to move further up to Chuunin. I can even prepare a display of some of our finer shinobi, as well as perhaps allow access to some areas within the village that are normally off limits." He stated, being friendly about this as he was attempting to make this relationship with Konohagakure stay stable... even if he did not agree with some of the recent rumours of them starting to work with Kumogakure.

His hands rested on the table for a moment before he quietly took up a piece of parchment and a small brush, writing fast on it as he was watching Tenzin. "You have my permission to bring along this group of people and you may tell the Hokage that you have it as well. This..." he said as he was finishing writing fairly quickly as he quietly blew over the fresh ink a few times before placing the letter, folded, in front of Tenzin. "Is something that I will ask you to hold on to. This will allow you and your class entry when you return." He paused for a moment before taking the folded letter back and producing a small seal which he would dip in something under the desk and stamp on the front. "That being said... what questions I thought I had were thoroughly answered already. A simple visit is nothing of consequence so long as you can keep them in line. After all, we have visited Konohagakure plenty already, I see no reason not to return the favour. My suggestion is to bring full body covering clothes that are light in colour and in fabric. The desert sun is harsh otherwise. Oh... and plenty of water." He quietly placed the letter back in front of Tenzin. Sueatsu worked quick in terms of his duties as Kazekage, but he understood the risks clearly and he was willing to take them up, since Konoha had done the same for them. "Ah, if housing is needed, I can have that provided as well, but it may take some time."

[PB] Finalizing a Field Trip

Post by Texas » Tue Oct 16, 2018 9:22 am

Tenzin listened to the Kazekage. As an educator, Tenzin didn't quite get involved into the politics. With that being said, he wasn't stupid either. He knew that presenting this opportunity to the Kazekage was more than just asking for a simple field trip. It was asking for something that was very intense and very complicated. Many things had to be in order before they even came back to Sunagakure.

Tenzin was impressed with the swiftness of the Kazekage's decision and he took a mental note of that. There was no pondering or hesitation. He knew what would work and compiled a plan already in his head. Tenzin nodded towards the man and reached out towards the letter he had created and sealed. Within the moment of him reaching, he looked at the Kazekage and spoke up. "This all sounds great Lord Kazekage. I am very excited that you agreed to this proposal. I know that my students will be more than excited to gain some culture and learn more first hand about our ally." He gripped the letter and brought it towards his lap. He looked at the letter for a split second to see the seal then back at the Kazekage again before speaking. "Housing would be incredible if it wasn't too much of a burden. I think it would be best for me to get a head count when I organize the trip and relay that information to you. Then, once when you are ready we can make the trip. Would that be appropriate?" Tenzin wanted to make sure that he wasn't crossing any lines or boundaries. It was important to be as respectful and thoughtful of Sunagakure as possible. It is their home and village that the youths and chaperones of Konoha would be visiting.

Sueatsu nodded his head a few times as he was listening to Tenzin once more. "A count of those arriving would make things easier. I can see that some housing is provided at that point. Albeit, it will be housing that is based within Sunagakure culture. Now, I will stress this. For those coming, you will see and hear a lot about our religion. You need not participate, but if you wish to understand the people of Sunagakure better, learning is encouraged in this aspect." Sueatsu fell silent for a few moments before he cleared his throat as he looked directly at Tenzin without even so much as a blink. "With all this being said, I suppose this meeting was far more quick than even I had anticipated." He stated as he let out a soft bit of laughter.

The seal was the symbol of the village, that of an hourglass, and he nodded his head firmly. "If there is anything else, please, do not be afraid to ask immediately. Otherwise, I do not know what else you may need here other than some rest and sight seeing before you return on your journey."

Tenzin nodded to the Kazekage with great respect. He truly respected the leaders and the people of each village. He surly knows how much effort and patients it takes to lead. He made sure to confirm that he was the right man for this job and hopefully could establish more of a relationship with this village as well. "I'm glad that we are on the same page, Lord Kazekage. Communication is key with a project like this, and I can assure you that I will make sure everything is in order and that you are informed well ahead of any actual actions are taken. Thank you very much for the time you have spent with me." With those words being said he stood up and bowed his head with the utmost respect. When he lifted his head he want to ask one last thing of this generous leader. "If you don't mind Kazekage, I would love to stay in the village just for a little bit to get a view of the sites and potential places that the young ones would visit. I think it would be influential if I could physically describe some of the sites to my previous students and other shinobi."

In hopes that the Kazekage agrees then Tenzin could only assume that he would be accompanied by another shinobi. This is something that Tenzin was also excited about. He would love to have a connection with a different shinobi from another village. Maybe some day they could continue the cycle of comradery between the two villages. Who knows what the future held!

[PB] Finalizing a Field Trip

Post by FluffyGinja » Mon Nov 05, 2018 11:47 pm

Sueatsu would quietly stand up from his seat and bow his head respectfully, before gesturing towards the door. "By all means. I'll lead you out and one of my subordinates will see to it that you have some temporary housing if you need it." He stated and he would lead Tenzin out of the Kage building, where a shinobi would be waiting to escort him along to where he would find a temporary place to rest if he so needed it. For now though, after Tenzin was shown where he could rest, he was free to look about the village. He could guess that he would be being watched but that was Sunagakure's nature. Protection at the cost of privacy.
